Iolite Hospital Chef

I got a design for the chef, Chef Galexia Starlight. I will take a pic and post it when I get back home (the lighting in this hotel room is even more yellowish than my place, lol). But for now, here's some information on her!

TW: Eating Disorders (Avoidant-restrictive Food Intake Disorder/ARFID)

Chef Galexia Starlight is the same race as Father Cosmos, who is a Galexian. She decided to become a chef at the Iolite Hospital after hearing that many of the patients have different dietary needs, such as food allergies or dysphagia. Due to her own issues with food, she has always had a passion for cooking for those with their own dietary needs.

She has a severe allergy when it comes to seafood. Even just the air from the food will put her into anaphylactic state. She also suffers from Avoidant-restrictive food Intake disorder, which causes her to avoid foods she sees as "pulpy", due to a sensory issue. She can't stand it, to the point where she will gag trying to eat it. Some foods that aren't pulpy will still be avoided, because she still feels like they are. This causes her to avoid a lot of fruits. She will still cook those foods, but she won't eat them. So, she'll have her coworkers taste those dishes. She cooks in a separate kitchen from the one that cooks seafood, as well.

She is extremely shy, until you meet her in the kitchen. While in the kitchen, she can become very controlling and hot-headed. She's an extremely passionate lady, so she becomes very protective of the dishes. She wants to make sure there isn't a single chance of a patient coming into contact with one of their allergens or a food that isn't a part of their dietary restrictions. Outside of the kitchen, she is very calm and quiet. She is the type of person you can find sipping tea, reading some manga or graphic novels, and listening to vaporwave music. Just chill and vibing.

Some random factoids are that she loves mushrooms. Not eating them, just looking at them. She likes to doodle them on napkins during her break. She also will hand out new recipes to the patients to try before deciding whether or not to put them on the menu. She makes it a priority to go up to the C-Floor, where the chronically ill patients reside, because they will be eating those recipes the longest. After all, none of them are leaving the hospital anytime soon, so they deserve to at least like the food they eat.

Galexia has become a friend of Aluminum's, mainly because he feels he can talk about his problems with food freely with her. He feels like she can understand a bit of what he goes through, with the both of them having food allergies. Galexia tries her best to give him some comfort, so when she is on her break, she tries to get some time to talk to him.

She is also pretty good friends with Derek and Baxter. Derek has helped her calm down a lot of the time when things get tough. Baxter is just very charming, in her opinion. He is so unapologetically himself, which she is a bit jealous of. She always feels like she needs to tone down her personality.

Galexia and Father Cosmos are both good friends, too. She does her best to restrict his food Intake whenever he visits the hospital, which he is very grateful for. There aren't very many Galexians around, either, which makes seeing another Galexian a very special thing. They tend to have a very tight knitted community, so it can be distressing for Galexians to not see another of their kind for long periods of time.

Who's hal?

hal was a requested fankid of galexia and nichole i did awhile back, so he’s just one of those ocs i did purely out of fun basically.

i have a bunch of those characters from previous requests and on occasion i like to draw them cause some of them have fun designs, like cressida, vera, pluto, and axel.

Hal was one for galeixa and nichole and i made him a germiphobe.

Never take him or characters like him too seriously, they’re mostly for fun and have no impact on the au itself, more like me just playing around and showing off designs and goofy ideas.
