𝑾𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒕 𝒇𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒚 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝟏𝟖𝟏𝟗 𝒕𝒐 𝟏𝟖𝟖𝟏
Helene Somerset neé Greengrass, b. 1819
The infamous grandmother of Primrose Gray, she was from the prolific family of the Greengrass but was found out to be a squib and sent away, where she met the dazzling Viscount Somerset, whom he quickly fell in love for her eloquence, handsome looks and elegant Manners, and the two of them courted for seven years and married on 1848 and had the following year their firstborn, George. They doted on him quickly, though he was a difficult child, and in 1853 had a child whom she miscarried, but in 1856 she fell pregnant again with her only daughter Victoria, whom she doted on, for she always dreamed of having a daughter, for she'd belong to her and not the estate and country. She arranged her son's marriage when he was 26 and seemed to have a prosperous future...
Alina Mikelovna, b. 1858
A woman of Ukranian descendance, she was sent with her mother to marry well, and in her debut season she fell in love with the tall, dark, handsome George Somerset and the two of them married in summer 1879. Though during that period, Europe was at war and George was sent away to serve the country abroad, leaving Alina at the mercy of her mother-in-law and sister-in-law, whom she barely knew and carrying his child. Weeks before her due date, a tragic note came: her husband had perished heroically, defending a fellow solider. Alina was distraught and her depression and paralysing fear of childbirth resulted in the child's death hours after his birth. With George's death, Victoria was now Viscountess.
The two of them became good friends and she was a Maid of Honour on her wedding to the charming Mr. Gray and godmother to Primrose. She never remarried, refusing to cry another husband in a warring continent and remained a respectable and cheery Dowager Viscountess till her death in 1906 of old age, being Primrose's favourite aunt.
Victoria Somerset, b. 1856
The youngest daughter of Geoffrey Somerset and Helene Greengrass, she grew up at the shadow of her perfect brother and thus had liberty to marry whomever she wanted, for no man at court pleased her well enough. She received her Hogwarts letter and was the first woman to attend, and in there she thrived, being one of the most brilliant witches of her time. She fell in love with Vincent Gray and the two of them courted and married a year after her dear brother died and the two of them had Primrose after a miscarriage the year before. For several years she miscarried another children and gave birth to stillborn sons, and her doctor advised her against having any more children if she wanted to live. She was happy to dote on her daughter and trusted her to carry on the legacy. She proposed many suitors for her, but none charmed her. She died of old age in 1910, the same year as the king.
Olympia Somerset, b. 1823
Ofttimes forgotten, she is the aunt of Victoria and one of the most influential women of her time, for she had a rich education in the ancient languages, arithmetic, geography, modern languages, oratory, dance, music and many others, making her one of the best educated women at court. Her reputation was such, the duke of Burlingham asked permission to her father the viscount to court her and eventually marry her, which the family gladly accepted. The Queen herself attended her wedding and throught the years she gave her former latter Winbourne prestige by talking them up at every gathering, making the queen intrigued in her family. It is thanks to her that the Somersets were so popular and loved at court.

The SPIRIT Rangers
Hello, hello! I am super excited to announce the completion of the first (17k word) chapter of a project I have been chipping away at for the last two months. This is a large-scale crossover collection of one shots featuring my Band of Brothers OCs (including the ones I have yet to introduce!). If you choose to check it out sometime, I will absolutely love you forever. :)
So here’s the link:

Thank you for all the love and support towards my fics, especially my longer ones. Readers like you are the reason I have the motivation and support to write things like this, and those longer fics, and everything else I post (and even some of the stuff I don’t). 💕

An artwork of my OC Olympia Komninou! Commissioned from @typhlosions
The Griffon Magical Girl from Athens 🦉 and Champion of Athena! She enjoys hanging out in town, eating out in town, and rambling about stuff she likes. For hours. She has so much useless Iliad trivia to share…
She looks absolutely wonderful, thank you so much once again! It’s always a pleasure to commission you! 💛💚❤️

OC creation meme, 11-14 for Olympia.
11. Did you know what the OC’s sexuality would be at the time of their creation?
Essentially yes - while I briefly thought about it, I was 99.99999% sure she’d end up romancing Felix like she had in-game. He’s one of my favorite romances and I didn’t see any benefit to her (or the overarching) story to force myself to ignore that!
12. What have you found to be most difficult about creating art for your OC (any form of art: writing, drawing, edits, etc.)?
Some of this is my fault for not figuring it out already, but she doesn’t really have a good character hook beyond “Good Jedi” (and not in a “does things in the proper Jedi way” but rather “does the right thing, following the Jedi Code as closely as she can). I think I have a good handle on her friendship with Amitia, but I also haven’t really explored her romance with Felix much - there isn’t a ton of content in-game, so there should be some room to delve into.
13. How far past the canon events that take place in their world have you extended their story, if at all?
She’s more of a supporting character for Amitia/the overarching plot in my main story!verse, so I haven’t really planned much for her. In my AU Based on the zakuul plot (with major divergences, though), she has a major role, though.
14. If you had to narrow it down to 2 things that you MUST keep in mind while working with your OC, what would those things be?
One big thing is to avoid having her start sounding like Amitia - yeah, Olympia has a sense of humor and she’s not some sort of unfeeling Jedi robot, but she is a much more by-the-book Jedi and isn’t going to be wise-cracking or anything like that. She’s also much less emotional (for good or ill) than Amitia.
That said, it’s also important that she not be written TOO “Jedi-like” - she has strong feelings for Felix, she cares a lot about Nadia and Amitia, etc.

Halo OC Bio: Spartan Carol Ward
Name: Carol Ward
Date Of Birth: December 2, 2140
Age: 100+ (Biologically) Mid 20′s (Physically)
Affiliations: UNSC, Spartan-IV Program.
Description: Born in Arkansas on December 2, 2139, Carol Ward was brought to a world where space faring technology was at a boom with mankind going out into the stars which is the Sol system with her family being lawyers as she lived a relatively peaceful life. But unfortunately, war broke out between the United Nations and the Koslovics and joined the newly formed UNSC in the process in an effort resulting in Carol joining them in the process. She participated in operation HELLHOUND which was an operation to stop Koslovics from using a special weapon on Earth and she barely escaped with her life after separated from her team aftering stealing a ship and went into cryosleep out of hopes the UNSC would find her.
In the year 2557, her ship was intercepted by Spartan Frank Kodiak and fireteam Majestic where they discovered the ship was still active and reactivated its systems with the cryopods still active as well. Carol was awakened by the Spartans who she was confused at their appearance then realized that the UNSC have won. By the time the Infinity landed on Earth, she returned to a world that is a far cry from the world she left as the UNSC gave her a home to stay in and contacting any relatives she had which they found in form of her grandson as she got a recap of what happened throughout the years. At first Carol was overtaken by shock that mankind met aliens but felt proud knowing that they were united only for a moment against a seemingly unstoppable force.
The news of her return spread throughout headlines as Ward became a bit of a celebrity herself with many journalists and reporters asking her questions of what life was like and the war itself. She soon was invited to the UNSC Infinity where a ceremony was held with many personnel, soldiers, and Spartans and she was awarded the Legion Of Honor by Lord Hood for her actions in operation HELLHOUND and most notably-her participation in the Interplanetary Wars. Carol was soon invited Spartan-IV program a month later where she became a Spartan-IV and the leader of Fireteam Wyvern.
Personality: Carol is an easygoing yet professional and laser focused Spartan yet has shown to have some hints of depression. She feels like she skipped out on all her life which she did and had to rebuild a new one from scratch. People say she’s a relic of a bygone era where humanity’s worst enemy was itself and she agrees with that too. Carol is known to be very curious about current and past events as it was said that nearly froze in terror when she saw the Arbiter and other alien species as well yet find them so fascinating too. Another aspect is that she’s a bit of UFO conspiracy enthusiast during the war and often would reference the Hynek Scale. She is also known to be a bit of a joker with her saying the UNSC just skipped all of the encounters on the scale then made up their own.
