Day 28: Scars

Isabella’s got her scars when the first fight with Shredder happened.

And Zeph was once shot at in the chest by a blaster. He’s glad he’s got tough skin.

Day 29: Love

What I wouldn’t give to have that lost season. To see the turtle tots with the grown up boys we know, and to see them bond with Splinter who still absolutely adores them.

Day 30: Stories

Did anyone else know that 03 Raph’s favorite book is the original Jurassic Park? He says it’s better than the movie.

Edward “Cal” Calcifer

New York City, 1920s

Edward was born to one of the oldest American wizard families in New York City. Known most often to people as Calcifer, or sometimes simply Cal as he doesn’t care for his first name. His family has owned and operated a magic shop for both magical and muggle people alike, although the muggles only receive fake products.

Edward showed exceptional talent for magic at a young age as he was bright and gifted. Once he hit adulthood, he decided against taking over the family business and instead had his sights turned elsewhere.

You would find curious things indeed if you were to visit the carousel in Central Park, ride a certain horse, and mutter a certain password. If done correctly, you would find yourself stepping out of the carousel to find a whole new world full of real magic and people beyond imagination. For this was the hidden Circus that Calcifer retreated to most nights.

If you wandered the winding paths in this secret world, you might eventually come to Edwards tent. Here, he showcased his brilliance. Transmutation was his specialty. Whereas muggles in the real world received his trivial “silver to gold” performance, the wizards here were a lot harder to impress. They would receive a performance that would show Edward himself transforming into a large black dog, and then a cawing raven, and then a black cat. For Edward Calcifer had discovered a way to become an animagus and chose his form at will…

I’ve had this boy brewing on the back burner for a few weeks now and was able to introduce him for a long time but always kept forgetting! So here he is!!! He is obviously FB era but he’s special as I’m sort of requesting people to join me? I want to build his circus and I need more people! Already joining him is my minor oc Lindell Xerxes (vampire & seer). She has a son named Zephaniah Xerxes but he’s already grown up and off at the ministry by this time I believe. Anyone is welcome!! Especially those who are fantastical or outcasts. Note: I also don’t know if Cal will be the owner/creator of the circus or just a member. I kind of think the circus would be super old even now and not brand new so.

‘Loyal,’ Ade grunted, eyes narrowed. A man of few words, and even less so with strangers, Ade didn’t even contemplate offering any more information.

But he knows the use of those who can be utilised; he’s spent his life seeing Lou gradually learn how to deal with the responsibility that comes from that. Even then, he knows the toll that not trusting those people has had on her. He sees very little of that uncertainty in Cam, and it’s refreshing. As long as people prove to him that they’re loyal, he’ll stick by them. If they’re useful to him or not is of little to no consequence in his eyes.

Practitioners of witchcraft create their familiars by anchoring a demonic spirit to the remains of an earthly creature, usually the bones of a small animal. This ritual provides them with a conduit to the plane of Wroth, from which they may then channel magical power.

An art style study I did based on Kazuma Kaneko (金子一馬), the OG artist for Persona and Shin Megami Tensei! This art style is specifically from his art for the earlier games, SMT I and SMT II. Seeing how Kaneko goes hard with his character designs, I added blood to my OC Adlai Tiernan's cut horns. I also exaggerated the size of her horns/curls in relation to her petite height, to give her a distinct silhouette. As for my OC Zephaniah, I simplified her design in favor of pose and readability. Kaneko also only uses 2 colors for his wings. For an old school look, I used unweighted ink lines and filled in shadows with solid black. I also took liberty with the copic marker coloring to stylize my color palette. Characters, Artwork © EerieAyres

Papae Emeriti of Note Throughout Time

I've invented a whole lot of different ones 1. Because I'm doing a Ghouls Throughout Time Anthology and 2. Because it is fun.

The title of Papa Emeritus can be bestowed upon any individual of notable talent and charisma. It is a blessing (and a curse) that transforms them into a magical construct designed to feed the dark energies of the weird Interdimensional Possibly Sentient ExtraPlanar Dimension of the Void. These constructs can have relatively long reigns but recently a new initiative called the Ghost Project has accelerated wear and tear. To what end, it is uncertain.

Each Papa figure summons their own ghouls and assigns them roles. I want to draw them so badly but I'm extremely slow at drawing and not very confident in my skills. Maybe one day.

Day 20 of TMNTtober2023

Still using Zeph’s concept colors as of right now. I’m hoping to maybe make him a little darker to make him look somewhat closer to his brood father, Zanramon, (gonna make that symbolic of his papa issues) and I’ll definitely add some markings too. Of course before Zeph’s designs happen I gotta get the turtles and Splinter in my AU as well as Isabella and any other OCs that’ll appear later on.

The Xerxes Family

Lindell Xerxes was born centuries ago, not that she cares to keep track. Being a Seer vampire gifted with Legillimency, she found her fortune in reading Tarot in the circus. After a fateful one night stand with a passing circus goer, she’s gifted with a son.

Zephaniah Xerxes was born around 1880, being raised by the Circus and his mother. He inherited his mother’s gift to See, but that wasn’t the only thing he got from her. Being born from a vampire and a human caused him to have a longer lifespan and age slower. By 1926, Zephaniah had become the Keeper of the Hall of Prophecies for the British Ministry of Magic. He remains there to this day, the longest position held by anyone.
