"Where did he go?" Daniella thought frantically as she looked around the street. Jay had turned the corner, talking about different video games and she had lost him in the crowd. She tried to summon a bit of her powers to try and find him, but only found that her powers were gone. Or at least out of her reach.
Her breathing quickened as she spun in circles in the middle of the street. She felt like a child who had lost her mother. She didn't know anything about video games. She preferred to knit in the peace and quiet, plus she didn't want to intrude on the boys having fun. She tried her powers again, only to have the same results as before. She looked down at her hand and back up at the crowd that was now starting to stare.
Daniella backed up a step and tried to find a place to hide. The crowd was now beginning to whisper amongst themselves as Daniella found an alley to duck into. She leaned against the wall and threw a hand up to her chest, trying to stop her heart from hammering.
"Tokens. Jay said something about tokens. How do I get tokens??" she mumbled to herself. She stared at the wall across from her and tried to breathe.
"Excuse me? Are you Daniella Garmadon? Like for real?" a pink haired girl asked, standing at the opening of the alley.
"Y-yeah. I don't know where I am, nor where Jay went. I have no idea how anything works here," she answered quickly, trying to get a hold on her anxiety.
"Well, this is Prime Empire. I don't know where the actual Blue Ninja is, but there are a lot of people using that skin. So, it might take a while to find him. Plus the Red Visors are going after anyone dressed like your friends. It's a shame that you don't have a skin. I would totally pay for that!"
"Pay? Pay! Yes! Jay said something about tokens! Where do I get those?" Daniella asked, her anxiety vanishing almost instantly with this new goal.
"Oh, you mean credits! You have to earn them. Through missions or competitions. There's one that's gonna start soon! You should totally enter!"
"But won't the Red Visors find me?" she asked, gesturing to herself.
"Oh, right. Oh! Here! I have an old skin that I won a while ago that I don't really like. You can use it!" the girl suggested, tapping her shoulder to open her inventory.
"Okay. How many credits do you want in return? If I win, that is," Daniella asked as she mimicked the gesture to open her own inventory.
"Are you kidding? You don't owe me anything! Helping my favorite ninja is enough!" the girl answered, hitting the transfer button.
"Favorite? Me?" Daniella asked, more to herself than her new friend.
"Now, this is how you change your skin on your avatar," the girl started, pointing to the correct buttons on her menu. Daniella followed step by step as her clothes changed to the new set that had been set to her. In an instant, her clothes had been changed from her ninja apparel to a matching set of tank top and shorts with a sheer skirt around her vest and one flowing sleeve.
"Wow!" she gasped, looking down at her clothes. The girl across from her smiled as Daniella spun around and took in her new look.
"New hair too?" Daniella asked, pulling the end of the ponytail to her front and admired the purple ends. She ran her fingers through it. At first, Daniella thought that it would have felt like those fake extensions that she had as a little girl. But the more she ran her fingers through her hair, the more she realized that it felt like her actual hair.
"Now hold out your hand," the girl instructed. Daniella let go of her ponytail and held out her hand mimicking the girl's motion. Daniella's eye widen when a microphone appeared in her hand. She held it up a little bit and took a look. The microphone had similar attributes to The Staff of Light. The girl in front of her looked at it confused.
"Well, the mike must change for each user. It didn't look like that when I tried it."
Daniella decided to keep her thoughts to herself as she turned the mike in her hand and watched as two beams of yellow light beamed through both ends of the mike, converting it to a bo staff.
"Themed weapon?"
"Themed weapon! Now then, come on. We'll miss the sign up for the competition!" the girl said, motioning her to follow.
"Wait! I don't even know your name!" Daniella said, letting the mike fall to her side, the yellow beams sliding back into the mike.
"My name is Amy. Now come on!"

"A singing competition?" Daniella asked as Amy signed her up for a spot.
"Yeah! It's really easy! You just have to wow the crowd with your performance! Popular vote wins!" Amy explained turning around to face Daniella. Amy took a moment to take in Daniella's worried look.
"What's wrong?"
"I don't sing. I don't like the spotlight. I can't even access my powers. What am I supposed to do? I haven't written any songs either, and coming up with one on the spot is nearly impossible."
"It's karaoke. And you don't have to have powers to wow the crowd! Surely you've sang to yourself when cleaning or something. No one has to know that it's really you. I made you a username so you can do this and no one knows that it's you!"
"You'll know," Daniella grinned, trying to work the courage.
"I can turn around if you want."
"I was joking. Okay, but only if you keep my identity a secret. I would rather use my username from now on. Until we're out of Prime Empire," Daniella said.
"I can do that!" Amy replied with a serious nod.
Daniella took a breath and looked at the stage, watching others compete and wow parts of the crowd. She turned back to Amy with a question.
"What is my username?"
"I decided on Lotus, since I figure that she isn't here, it would help with your fears. Plus I think it fits your skin perfectly!" Amy answered.
"Lotus. I like it. Okay, what song am I singing? Would it be something that I would know?" Daniella asked, shifting her mike from hand to hand.
"You can pick the song when you go up there. I think that it should be a song that really sticks it to the Red Visors and their leader. Something that tells them that you are here and you have something to prove," Amy suggested.
"Something that says I'll show you who I am," Daniella muttered. Both Daniella and Amy's eyes widen as they turned to each other.
"I'll Show You!" they said in unison, pointing at each other.
"Okay. Now that is a song that I can sing. Let's just hope that everyone else likes my voice more than me," Daniella said.
"You could pretend that you and Cole are in the car singing along, going on a date," Amy suggested.
"Oh no. Cole doesn't know that I sing. Literally no one does. And I would like to keep it that way," Daniella retorted softly.
The announcer called out Daniella's username. Amy gave two thumbs up as Daniella walked over to the stage and scrolled through and selected her song. A song that she hoped would turn into a fight song for the people stuck in Prime Empire.
She closed her eyes as the song started to pour through the speakers. She exhaled before taking in a deep breath and started to sing the words that she knew by heart. Of course, she thought to herself that it would be more powerful if she translated as she sang. She smiled and opened her eyes with the first words.
The window reflected in my eyes, I close my eyes
To the place the wind blows, take me there
Wanna be myself, wanna leave this hell
Take me out, please
Daniella could feel the confidence leaving her as the crowd stopped their talking and turned to look at the stage. But she knew that there was no stopping.
Stuck in a place between the space of heart and mind
Chase the time, flow searching for dreams
And so am I
She could see Amy making her way to the back of the crowd to a booth. She talked to the person behind it, who stepped down and let the girl up. Amy sent two thumbs up as encouragement to continue.
Drop
Sit on the floor
Thinking I'll stop
Can't take no more
When it's ready
Loudly I roar
That was the battle but this is the war
The lights of the stage went out except for one. The spotlight on her, her worst fear. But there was a war to win and she knew that this would be the song that would inspire people.
I'll show you what I'm made of
Rise to the occasion
Got fears but I face them oh-oh
The lights around her beamed back on with a light purple glow. She smiled as she looked out to Amy again and knew that she wasn't alone.
I'll show you what I'm made of
A heart full of fire
Looking at a fighter oh-oh
Daniella could feel her hips moving along to the beat as she sang. The crowd was now captivated by her and her voice. She continued through the second verse as she started dancing with the song. Nothing that would have wowed a profession, but it felt right to go with the song.
Light is bigger than darkness
You know your own worth very well
You know the darker the day the more you shine, oohhh
After darkness comes a bright day, babe
You don't have to be afraid.
Daniella was more singing to herself than the crowd, but she could feel the crowd agreeing with her. There were some people in the back that were talking animatedly amongst themselves as the danced along with her.
And I'm not cause today
Daniella felt the lights change on her skin but kept going. Amy had done a good job with the lights so far, so she left it up to her.
I'll show you what I'm made of
Rise to the occasion
Got fears but I face them oh-oh
The crowd gasped. Daniella opened her eyes slightly to see her powers making music notes in the air around her. Her smile grew wider with the comfort that her powers weren't totally gone. They were still with her, and with her new friends, she knew that she stood a chance of fighting the Visors and finding Jay.
And I'll show you what I'm made of
What I'm made of oohh-oh oh
I'll show you what I'm made of,
oh yeah
I'll show you
Daniella listened to the echo of her voice as the lights came up around her. The crowd watched with her as her powers slowly flickered away. Her tried to catch her breath as she watched everyone talk amongst themselves quietly. Daniella let her hands fall to her side as she hung her head, but snapped it back up when the crowd erupted into cheer.
Daniella felt herself beam as the announcer announced her victory. She ran down the steps and met Amy half way, wrapping her arms around the girl. They were both laughing as they pulled away. Daniella listened to the jingle of credits being transferred to her. The crowd circled the two as they chanted for an encore.
A group of people walked over to Daniella and Amy and pulled them aside as the crowd kept cheering. One, a boy about her age, held out his hand as he introduced himself as 'The Fighter'.
"You want to fight the Red Visors too huh? Well Lotus, we want to help you. We could form a league," The Fighter said, after congratulating her.
"Was I too obvious?" Daniella asked as she blushed a dark red.
"The magic kinda gave it away. But, a league could be a good thing!" Amy answered.
"One of you knows how to make one right? Remember, I don't play video games. I was pushed into the deep end here," Daniella joked.
"You leave the technical stuff to us. You lead us into battle to take down the game. I'm just surprised there aren't more of n- of your friends here," The Fighter said, stopping himself from saying ninja.
"Well, one is here. The blue bird. But we're the only two here. That might change, but I don't know if they know how to get here. I don't know how we got here. But what I do know is that if we are going to stop the game, we'll need a base. Somewhere quiet and unnoticeable, and we grow and fight from there," Daniella strategized. She turned to Amy and held out her hand.
"Would you like to join the League? It'll be dangerous, but you helped me this far and it wouldn't be fair if I didn't give you the chance."
"Absolutely! A chance to work with you is a dream come true!" Amy replied excitedly, shaking Daniella hand.
Daniella smiled and giggled as she turned back to The Fighter and his friends. She took them in one by one and smiled even more. A small group for now, but she had a feeling that it would only grow bigger with time.
"So, where do we set up base? Oh and what is this XP bar for?"

Okay I loved the pose, and I couldn't think of any better song than K/DA's "I'll Show You"
I really loved the idea of Daniella making her own League rather than just trailing behind Jay. I know I jump around a lot with Daniella's story, but it comes in spurts of how I want her story to go. I may make folders for individual seasons if this keeps up for better organization. ^^
Daniella, Amy, and The Fighter belongs to me
Jay belongs to LEGO
"I'll Show You" by K/DA belongs to Riot Games
