In fact, Moran is not just a Nerevarine. In a way... he is Nerevar.

You see, Azura tied Nerevar's soul to the Moon-and-Star, and everyone who put it on had to become possessed by the spirit of Nerevar. Azura could not help her hero to be reborn in aedric way, and since her artifact was already associated with soul gems, this was the best choice. The prophecy was to find the perfect body for Nerevar; the same person as he was, so that the soul takes root best. Moran was... similar. Perhaps too similar.

So when he received Moon-and-Star, he started having terrible headaches, he was sick and feverish, and... well, soon enough he began to hear Nerevar's voice in his head. Nerevar's soul could not defeat him, but could not leave him either.

Therefore, Moran was stuck with two souls in one body.

But he doesn't despair. In fact, they coexist pretty well together.

Had some fun with this prompt. Today's theme was Fantasy, and since I grew up playing these games, I had to dress my character JC as one of my favorite Final Fantasy characters, Terra, from Final Fantasy VI! They have the same hairstyle, which doesn't hurt. Hehehe. I don't think I could emulate Amano's art style, but I can at least try to interpret it into my own.
