The signs as Obi-Wan Kenobi's OCD things
Aries: Training himself to sleep less so he has more time for self-recrimination meditation (x)
Taurus: Stroking his beard the same way every time his thoughts are ungrounded (x)
Gemini: Obsessively fretting that his desire to be Good is so strong that he might actually become Bad (#obi wan's darkside contamination fears)
Cancer: Failing at meditation because blank thoughts naturally turn into violent whirlwinds of replaying past mistakes, repeating stupid things he said, taking credit for everything that went wrong ever, and imagining all the horrible things people are saying about him because obviously the whole world revolves around him and is deeply aware of his every error (x, x, x)
Leo:

(x)
Virgo: Minor panic attack upon seeing the disorganized mess that someone told him was going to be a "lab" (x)
Libra: Checking his food every time for evil squid that might be hiding in it (x)
Scorpio: Suns dying is a comforting thought! In fact, death is one of the only thoughts big and grounding enough to induce successful meditation that isn't just an excuse to dwell on anxieties. If suns can die, then the enormous discomfort of being alive probably can die, too. Perspective, hooray! (Brotherhood, Jedi Apprentice, Rogue Planet, etc.)
Sagittarius: Walking into a contaminated building and being instantly aware of every chemical/nuclear/fungal particle that he's being exposed to (x, also Labyrinth of Evil)
Capricorn: Ten-year major depressive episode despite stable and efficient factory job
Aquarius: Buying a suspiciously large amount of industrial-grade sanitizer (x)
Pisces: Immediately putting on his seat-belt the very second he gets on the Millennium Falcon (x)

i’m tired of people romanticizing mental illnesses.
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is NOT being “cute and quirky needing everything to be organized 🤪🤪”
while there is a subtype of OCD needing things organized, it’s much more than just that. if you don’t have something organized the way it “needs” to be in your brain, then you freak out and panic and more times than not, ur brain convinces you something incredibly bad is going to happen. (i.e - if this blue wire isn’t right next to the purple wire, my house will burn down and hurt my entire family.) of course, it isn’t that extreme for every individual who has OCD, but for a majority.
it is also: •fearing everything is contaminated, •having such intense intrusive thoughts that you can’t shake and they end up causing extreme distress, •having physical responses to a negative intrusive thought making you believe you agree with the idea - which in turn makes you a “bad person”, •needing to make things “even” (i.e - touching a lightswitch 3 times with your left hand, then 3 more times with your right hand, spinning one way and having to spin the other way to be “balanced”, etc) •and so so SO much more. these are just a very small few examples.
OCD is an illness. not a personality trait. and although there are multiple ways to cope and live alongside this diagnosis, which always helps relieves some of the symptoms, it is still a painful and debilitating diagnosis.
please do research before spreading misinformation❤️
if i have anything incorrect in this post, kindly let me know. 🫶🏻

Note
questioning ocd culture is swearing up and down that you do NOT have ocd and are being dramatic/that even suspecting that you may have it makes you a bad person or a faker and then heavily relating to every symptom you come across on an otherworldly level.
this fr before being diagnosed, very normal apparently but it's so frustating

wishing a happy fuck you to all fakeclaimers out there.
you. yeah you. your disorder DOES exist and the internet troll with nothing better to do than to spread misinformation and be an asshole is wrong and making assumptions. totally get not believing yourself/not knowing yourself as much as you want but if I had to pick between you and Some Guy in a knowing yourself contest, I would pick you. you know yourself better than anyone, even if some things might still confuse you, so don’t let idiocy try to tell you otherwise

My autism and OCD are fucking partners in crime or something because my autism says "you need to touch something right now" and then my OCD comes in and says "ERKH you did it wrong, now you are not allowed to stop touching that thing ever"

Omg guys, omg, I did, I finally cleaned my room 🥺
It's so silly, I know, but I'm always so happy when I'm able to complete tasks because I either procrastinate them until the last time or I distract myself and can't finish during the day. And today I even got to have lunch!! Most of the times I try to focus in concluding my chores I simply forget to eat and drink water, then I pass really bad due to being starving and dehydrated :c
Having both ADHD and OCD can be such a monstrosity when it's comes to being functional bc OCD makes up the craziest rules that you simply have to follow or else something bad will happen to you. And ADHD takes all the motivation and energy away, besides it's so hard to focus on finishing tasks, specifically when they aren't interesting enough to keep you on them. My mind is so hyperactive rn so I really dunno if this made much sense 😅 but yeah, I'm so happy 🥹

ur intrusive thoughts do not define you.

and one more time, just in case;
ur intrusive thoughts do not define you.

Note
ocd culture is not allowing yourself to get excited for something in the future because you think your excitement and wanting will make something bad happen to you.

The Day Before
I’m starting at an inpatient mental health facility and I know it’s been needed for a few years now but I’m a bit scared. I’m trying to go into it with hopefulness and a positive attitude. I’m glad that there will be people there to help me 24/7 but the day before seems so weird. I’m packing up my stuff and I have to think about every small thing.
I am scared that I won’t get better but I’m also scared that I will. Because I don’t know how to not self-sabotage. Anyways, I’ll keep y’all updated on how it goes since they allow phone usage once a day.
