Ocean Offshore Marine India Purpose Fast Rescue Craft / Boat course is designed as per IMO guidelines. It is to train personnel to operate FRC/FRB, which is mandatory for deployment in offshore field as per IOGP and on RO-RO passenger vessels as per IMO.
Rig Contingency Plans will describe the actions, relevant for the type of vessel and equipment used, to take in the event of a calamity on board a vessel. One of the topics covered is the emergency procedure/ plan of rescue and treatment of casualties, including the use of FRB s.
The emergency procedure will describe initial actions to take by the Master, FRB coxswain and crew before, during and after launching a FRB. Another topic will be the rescue, treatment of and transfer to safety of casualties after recovery. Crew needs to be trained accordingly and the procedure/plan will be revised when there are changes in legislation or best practices.
Target Audience Fast Rescue Craft Marine crew working in offshore fields and those taking up jobs on RO-RO passenger ferry.

A vessel with the ability to operate independently underwater is known as a submarine (or sub). It contrasts from a submersible, which has less capabilities for diving underwater. The first tourist submarine was the Auguste Piccard, which went into service in 1964 at Expo64. By 1997 there were 45 tourist submarines operating around the world. Submarines with a crush depth in the range of 400–500 feet (120–150 m) are operated in several areas worldwide, typically with bottom depths around 100 to 120 feet (30 to 37 m), with a carrying capacity of 50 to 100 passengers.
In a typical operation a surface vessel carries passengers to an offshore operating area and loads them into the submarine. The submarine then visits underwater points of interest such as natural or artificial reef structures. To surface safely without danger of collision the location of the submarine is marked with an air release and movement to the surface is coordinated by an observer in a support craft.

South Korean shipbuilders are seeking overseas production bases through mergers and acquisitions to meet soaring demand across the world as they have secured works for the next five years.
Hanwha Ocean Co., the country’s No.3 shipbuilder, decided to establish a holding company in the US to acquire shipyards in North America on Nov. 16.

The company, formerly Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering Co., set aside 420 billion won ($321.6 million) for manufacturing bases and stakes in other firms for its defense products when it raised 1.5 trillion won through a rights offering earlier this month. The move aimed at securing docks at home to build vessels with high profitability while producing defense products in other countries.
HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering Co. (HD KSOE), an intermediate holding firm of South Korea’s top shipyard HD Hyundai Co., started considering takeovers of overseas shipbuilders, according to industry sources in Seoul on Sunday.
“We kept the door open for acquisitions of foreign shipbuilders and other measures as we need to compete against Chinese rivals in the long run,” said an HD KSOE executive at an earnings conference call for the third quarter.

OCEAN CITY: The government of New Jersey's southernmost county has joined with environmental and fishing industry groups in suing the federal government in a bid to overturn its approval of the state's first offshore wind energy farm. Cape May County and the groups filed a lawsuit Monday in US District Court against two federal agencies - the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management - seeking to reverse their approval of the Ocean Wind I project. Current plans call for construction of the project in waters off southern New Jersey by the Danish wind power company Orsted. The plaintiffs allege that the two agencies did not follow the requirements of nearly a dozen federal laws in approving the project, which would be built off the coast of Atlantic City and Ocean City - two of the state's top tourism destinations. They also claim the agencies did not adequately consider potential harm to the environment and marine life from offshore wind projects. "To implement a massive new program to generate electrical energy by constructing thousands of turbine towers offshore ... and laying hundreds of miles of high-tension electrical cables undersea, the United States has shortcut the statutory and regulatory requirements that were enacted to protect our nation's environmental and natural resources, its industries, and its people," the suit read. Both agencies declined comment Wednesday. Orsted declined comment on the lawsuit, but said it "remains committed to collaboration with local communities, and will continue working to support New Jersey's clean energy targets and economic development goals by bringing good-paying jobs and local investment to the Garden State." The lawsuit is the latest challenge - legal and otherwise - to the nascent offshore wind industry in the Northeast, which is also facing rising costs and supply chain concerns in addition to political and residential opposition to its projects. In New Jersey alone, there have already been numerous lawsuits filed by and against Orsted over the project, as well as challenges by residents groups to various levels of federal and state approval of the project, which would built 98 wind turbines about 15 miles (24 kilometers) off the shoreline. A tax break New Jersey approved in July for Orsted has heightened opposition to the Orsted proposal and offshore wind in general. Earlier this month the company put up a $100 million guarantee that it will build the project by Dec. 2025. Proposed wind farms in other states have run into financial difficulties as well. Last week, New York regulators denied a request by companies for larger subsidies for offshore wind, solar and other projects. OCEAN CITY: The government of New Jersey's southernmost county has joined with environmental and fishing industry groups in suing the federal government in a bid to overturn its approval of the state's first offshore wind energy farm. Cape May County and the groups filed a lawsuit Monday in US District Court against two federal agencies - the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management - seeking to reverse their approval of the Ocean Wind I project. Current plans call for construction of the project in waters off southern New Jersey by the Danish wind power company Orsted. The plaintiffs allege that the two agencies did not follow the requirements of nearly a dozen federal laws in approving the project, which would be built off the coast of Atlantic City and Ocean City - two of the state's top tourism destinations. They also claim the agencies did not adequately consider potential harm to the environment and marine life from offshore wind projects. "To implement a massive new program to generate electrical energy by constructing thousands of turbine towers offshore ... and laying hundreds of miles of high-tension electrical cables undersea, the United States has shortcut the statutory and regulatory requirements that were enacted to protect our nation's environmental and natural resources, its industries, and its people," the suit read. Both agencies declined comment Wednesday. Orsted declined comment on the lawsuit, but said it "remains committed to collaboration with local communities, and will continue working to support New Jersey's clean energy targets and economic development goals by bringing good-paying jobs and local investment to the Garden State." The lawsuit is the latest challenge - legal and otherwise - to the nascent offshore wind industry in the Northeast, which is also facing rising costs and supply chain concerns in addition to political and residential opposition to its projects. In New Jersey alone, there have already been numerous lawsuits filed by and against Orsted over the project, as well as challenges by residents groups to various levels of federal and state approval of the project, which would built 98 wind turbines about 15 miles (24 kilometers) off the shoreline. A tax break New Jersey approved in July for Orsted has heightened opposition to the Orsted proposal and offshore wind in general. Earlier this month the company put up a $100 million guarantee that it will build the project by Dec. 2025. Proposed wind farms in other states have run into financial difficulties as well. Last week, New York regulators denied a request by companies for larger subsidies for offshore wind, solar and other projects.
