February 1: Raven x Octavia, Genius
Whats this? Octaven I didn't edit? Surely not and yet it is.
Raven/Octavia, Make a Lot of Money-verse, ~600 words, written in 23 minute
*
"You're some kind of genius, aren't you?"
And:
"Have you ever gone sky diving? You would like it."
And:
"You know I'm writing a book."
This girl doesn't do well in the silence. They've been up most of the night and now Raven is hazy and tired in the first rays of morning light, bleeding in pink through a softly graying sky. She's in a bedroom that isn't her own, on her back on mint green sheets. She stretches her legs long and points her toes. The sheets, which have started to come off the bed, wrinkle and shift with the movement.
"You should talk to me again about thermodynamics."
Her voice is so much lower than Raven had thought it would be when they first locked eyes, smoother too, rasping only now with the half-sleep from which she's barely woken. She's lazing on her side with her head tucked up on her arm, and her elbow crooked so that her hand falls lazily over her own head. Her long fingers twitch at the loose strands of her hair. Raven can feel the girl's eyes twitching, too, flicking across her face, bearing out lines on her skin. An oddly patient gaze, and slow words.
"I once found this little… garden thing, behind a waterfall. And all I could see on one side was the wall of water coming down. Everything smelled green, like emerald green."
Is she reciting some sort of fairy tale?
Raven blinks and the crust of sleep pulls at her eyelids. She wasn't out long, couldn't have been. Just dozing. The room is small and almost perfectly square. Cardboard boxes are stacked up in the corner and the unmarked white walls are nearly empty, so she figures this girl couldn't have been living here long. But at the same time, she seems like the sort who might never unpack. If Raven were to bring her over to her own place, the studio with the toolbox that lives permanently on the kitchen island, and the little wooden bowl for her keys by the door, she'd probably be the type to leave her toothbrush there right away. She'd bring nothing else, stay the night, and then leave the next morning wearing Raven's clothes.
"Have you ever fucked another woman outside? Like in the grass?"
Raven runs her hands over her face, chin to hairline, like she's splashing invisible water over it. Like she's trying to strip the light from her skin. She is lying in a narrow pool of it, the bleeding golden dawn light.
"Or, like, a man even?"
Somehow, she's started to slip her hand across Raven's skin, over her belly, lingering touch of curious fingers at her hips. Raven flops her head to the side and looks at her.
The girl doesn't smile and she doesn't blink. Slowly, slowly, she shifts herself forward; she leans in. Her nose almost touches Raven's nose. She keeps enough distance between them to allow herself to look Raven in the eye without going cross-eyed. This close, Raven can see the faint hint of freckles over her nose and cheeks.
Her stare is so unwavering, so insistent, so perfectly studied and calm. Still unblinking, she lets the corners of her mouth gently curl: a knowing smile, a wicked, sinful smile.
"Genius is one word you could use," Raven answers, an outtake of breath, words lightly skimming across air. Then with a sharper bite: "And yeah, I've fucked men."
Octavia doesn't break. She reaches out as if to push Raven's hair back from her face, and instead tangles her fingers in it. "You are something," she breathes, as if by something she meant her greatest discovery. The garden behind the waterfall, the earth seen from the sky. "You are really--really the most beautiful and unexpected person," she says "that I have ever met."

Cold from snow
Prompt: Clarke Griffin believes she is a burden to everyone, even her girlfriends. Better to freeze to death than to be a burden, right?
Masterlist ~ buy me a coffee ☕️
Clarke rubbed her hands trying to counter the New York cold.
She was on the stairs of her palace and she was waiting for one of her girls to come back from work to be able to enter, of course, it was about -10 ° and, this did not surprise her, she was also snowing.
She looked at the clock that said 9.30pm.
Her ass had been frozen there for nearly two hours.
They had bought a penthouse overlooking Central Park about two years earlier and had lived together ever since, loving each other as much if not more than when they first met.
Clarke looked at the large closed glass door.
She wasn't a doctor but she knew he was a tiny, tiny step away from hypothermia. Her coat was now soaked from being in the snow and she was now shivering from the cold.
She briefly thought of calling Raven or Octavia or Lexa but immediately she shook her head.
“I won't bother them just because I was stupid enough not to remember the keys. Don't be an idiot Griffin, you deserve this cold. ”Clarke whispered, her breathing clearly noticeable in the chill of the night.
Clarke leaned her head against the side wall, her hair almost completely wet.
Her phone vibrated in her pocket, she pulled it out of her struggling a little with the zipper from frozen fingers.
Clarke pressed the green handset as soon as she saw who was calling her.
"Hey love, Raven and I are on our way back and Lexa just got into a taxy, where are you?"
Octavia's voice warmed Clarke's heart as a faint smile from her pursed her chapped lips.
She swallowed trying not to let the shivering of the cold leak through her voice: "I'm coming too"
"Good! See you soon, we love you! " Raven's voice also added to the last sentence.
"I love you too," Clarke whispered before Occtavia ended the call.
She dropped the phone back into her pocket before pulling even tighter into her coat.
After what seemed like interminable minutes, actually there were only ten, a bright yellow cab pulled up on the road less than two meters from the blonde.
Octavia and Raven got out and opened the door and Clarke, once again, was surprised by their beauty.
A smile appeared on both of their faces as soon as they saw her.
As they approached, however, the smile got smaller and smaller until it disappeared completely.
"Shit, Clarke, how long have you been here?" Octavia took off her scarf and put it around Clarke as Raven opened the door.
"Clarke, love, love look at me, how long have you been out here?" Octavia took the blonde's face in her hands, frightened as soon as she felt how cold she was.
"D-two hours," Clarke's voice trembled as she beat herself internally to make them worry. Raven also knelt beside her, gently stroking her face, her face imprinted with her concern.
"We need to call an ambulance." Raven looked her girl in her eyes. Octavia nodded as she pulled out the phone.
"No!" Clarke grabbed Octavia's arm causing her to shiver from the chill that spread from Clarke's fingers.
"Clarke, you're freezing, that's a lot if you breathe and-"
"Let's go home, p-please"
"Can you walk?" Raven looked at her girlfriend with concern.
Clarke nodded, hugging her girlfriends as they entered the elevator.
"Why didn't you call us?" Octavia sighed, full of concern, leaving a kiss on the blonde's cold temple.
"II didn't want to, d-disturb you"
"You never bother us Griff, you know, you are our girlfriend, our family, we will always be there for you"
Raven pulled the blonde closer to her, trying to give her some of her warmth.
The elevator stopped and the three girlfriends entered their apartment.
They took Clarke to the bathroom and began to undress her gently.
"You're frozen." Octavia sighed worriedly, running her hands along the blonde's hips.
Raven turned on the water in the tub and filled it with boiling water to warm the blonde.
Clarke swayed slightly, losing her balance for a moment.
"Hey!" Octavia took her stabilizing her, her look worried that she hadn't left that perfect face for a long time now.
"I'm fine, just a little dizzy." Clarke smiled slightly, trying to ease her concern in her girlfriends. Needless to say, she didn't help.
“Oh, wasn't Lexa a college lifeguard? Maybe you know what we have to do "
They both cast a worried look at the blonde, seeing her barely conscious.
"Yup! You're right, now I call her "
"Hey Lex." Octavia bit her lip, not knowing how to tell their girlfriend everything.
"Hey O '" Lexa's tone was sweet: "I'm almost there, I'm two blocks away and I'm there"
"Clarke is hypothermic"
"Wait, w-what?" Lexa settled herself in the cab seat, her right eyebrow arched as she was invaded by her concern.
"She ... she's been on the steps for two hours, the temperature was very low and it was snowing, she was all wet and Rae and I took her home but she looks like she's on the verge of fainting and we're very scared Lex, she doesn't want to go to the hospital and we prepared the tub with hot water but… ”Octavia's voice broke and immediately Raven hugged her girlfriend.
Lexa held back her tears as she struggled to remember what she had learned in the first aid course on hypothermia.
"Oh don't bathe her!" She could give her a heart attack! " Lexa's heart beat fast, praying her girlfriends hadn't put Clarke in the water.
"Okay Lex, got it, no bathroom." Raven spoke and Lexa sighed in relief.
The taxi driver signaled that they had arrived, Lexa paid him before running off and entering the building.
"How do you feel?" Octavia stroked the blonde's face, slightly warmer than it had been ten hours ago.
Octavia and Raven were under the covers of their huge bed, in their underwear and bra, warming the blonde as best they could.
"Much better." Clarke leaned over and left a chaste kiss on her lips.
"And you don't give me anything Griff?" Clarke giggled before turning and kissing Raven too.
"I see you're having fun without me." Lexa was in her boxers, with two trays in her hands as she reached out to kiss Clarke, then Raven and finally Octavia on her lips.
"I brought food and we all need it after yesterday."
Raven nodded in agreement before grabbing a plate of pancakes and starting to eat. The others followed her example, all except Clarke.
"Clarke?"
"I do not want anything"
"You have to eat, Clarke." Lexa looked at her with concern.
"Clarkey, why don't you want to eat?"
"I ... I'm stressed and soon there was the most important exhibition of my career and-"
Raven kissed the blonde passionately before gently pulling away and looking the blonde into her blue eyes.
"Now, eat"
Clarke nodded, it was really hard to say no.
"How do you do it every time?" Octavia snorted in frustration as she patted her girlfriend's shoulder.
"A wizard never reveals her tricks, baby." Raven smiled in amusement, resuming her breakfast as Lexa watched the scene giggling.
Thanks for reading! A year or two ago I read a beautiful fanfiction (if you are a fan of the 100 or just love polyamory, read it), it is called "And four makes home" and it is wonderful and from there this story. It is one of the 43 unpublished drafts on the 100 that I have saved on wattpad. Did you like it?
