I really like Lloyd and Akita's interactions. It's very clear that they need someone to talk to. Lloyd is clearly still hurt by Harumi and Akita is hurt by the deaths of her people. This is something that I really relate to given certain things happened to me irl.

I would love for it to remain as a platonic relationship though. Akita has her own story and hopefully they keep up with adding more non-love interest characters to the show.

Seriously Lloyd and Akita is foreshadowing Odie x Lloyd and I finally know how to incorporate it.

Right now I'm working on Odie's mini figure design. It took a lot of trials and errors because this is my first time doing digital art, but I think I got the hang of it. To make it easier, I colored her skin and outlined her body and obi. I used another template for her face which closely resembles my original sketches of her. I'm going to do her hair last.

Ficlet: Odie reacts to the leaked Suit

Odie was used to silence. Heck she enjoyed it. But there was nothing enjoyable about the silence she was experiencing as she continued to stare at Lloyd. It was almost like a karmic reversal of the time she had first worn her new suit. Being on the receiving end of scrutiny the older blond blushed behind his mask.

"That's your Avatar?" Odie asked pointing at his outfit in slight condemnation. Indeed, it was a strange choice for attire: a green jacket that exposed his abs, the left sleeve in gold and the other in green, green shirts and no footwear. Triangular freckles dotted his entire face, hidden by a lower veil.

Her eyes shifted from his clothes to the sparkly gold mohawk on his head. She choked up a little and bit her lip to keep herself from laughing. That has to be the single most ridiculous outfit she had ever saw! She didn't even own that many but could still pull together something passable. The fact that the famous Lloyd Garmadon was wearing it made it even more hilarious. It was sort of...dorky in a cute way. She didn't think it was bad...wait a minute...she used the word cute. Surprised that she would use that word she hid her face in embarrassment.

If Lloyd's face got any hotter he would've burned a hole in his mask.

"So let me get this straight? I have to bring back to life one of the most deadliest people in the world just so he could fight some evil moon spirit?"

The beautiful entity nodded. "If that is how you see it then yes," she replied quietly. Odie groaned running her fingers through her curly hair. What have she gotten herself into?

The young teen thought for a good two minutes. Bringing back the Lord of destruction would lead to very horrible consequences. But this Moon Woman sounded a lot worse, at least Garmadon was held back by his remaining humanity and love for his son. Son. Family. It was something Odie had wanted for years, even now as a gang member she was aware that her place wasn't with the bikers, but where else could she go.

She decided to go with her gut.

"Okay fine I'll do it," she said quickly. "But I swear if it goes wrong I'll personally see to it that you'll never cross the world of the living again to bother me again!"

Aikamoré snorted indignantly, unfazed by her descendant's threat. "I do not think your are in a position to make threats especially since wasn't something I wanted to do either," she spoke in a tone of finality. Odie stopped grumbling and listened intently to her next instructions.

"All you have to do is to find the Oni Masks and the Dragons Masks together and bring them to his resting place I will do the rest," said Aikamoré before disappearing in a flash. Odie didn't even have the time to question her.

So in this AU Odie is a biker. Either she is a reluctant member of the SoG or she opposes them. In her civilian disguise she is a handmaiden working in the palace and she grows close to the ninja. She tries to revive Garmadon seeing him as the only one to fight her family's long-standing enemy Tsuki-Onna.

It gets even more complicated when Odie develops feelings for Lloyd, but can't tell him the truth. So her arc is struggling to fulfill her ancestor's request, keeping her past a secret, and try to find the Dragon masks, counterparts of the Oni Masks. I might write it one day, and this being an AU, it will not be canon to the main Pink Ninja.

Forgot to add but since this is an AU, Lloyd and Harumi won't be a couple (not like they were anyways *rimshot*).

Inktober Day 5: Lloyd x Odie

Lloyd's hair fucking sucks to draw, man!

Anyways, here's a fun little sketch I did for Inktober/Selfshiptober week where Robin (Odie's sister) decides to play matchmaker and obviously the green ninja and the pink kunoichi are NOT having it.

Since the romantic subplots on the show also fucking suck except for Llorumi though we all know how that ended I decided to take matters into my own hands and make one that's both a slow burn and allows the love interest to, you know, actually be INTERESTING instead of having little relevance. So Llodie definitely won't fall into Love at First Sight and have to go through numerous trials, both external and internal.

Also my fanseason takes place after eleventh so I don't know what the season twelve suits are going to look like. For now Lloyd is still wearing his current suit and Odie has her official, post-training outfit.

Watching the new episodes of Ice Chapter made me think about Akita and Odie and like, they're VERY similar in personality and backstory. Even the way they regard Lloyd's girl problems are similar. I sure hope people don't start thinking I ripped Odie off especially when I made her months before the season even came out and we knew nothing about Akita. With that being said I hope that she remains a platonic friend because we need more of that in media in general.

After giving it some thought, I decided to work on my Ninjago season. So for my resolution I will work on my FC every day until I'm done. This evening I worked on her hair, skin and face. Tomorrow I'll draw the base of her suit. It took me a while to find the shade of brown I needed for her hair. When I finish her design I'll do a design analysis using the pieces I incorporated in her look.

Okay for the ask I'm going to talk about Odie! She's the elemental master of Love/Heart and Soul and the Pink Ninja. She is a server at Wu's tea shop and Lloyd's new love interest.

Several years ago she lost several family members: her father to drowning, her uncle to the Great Devourer's attack, and her grandmother to heartbreak. Because of this her mother had to move the family to a small apartment in a poorer part of the city because they couldn't afford to keep up their old home. These events also led to Odie developing a cynical attitude.

Sometime during the eleventh season she arrived at the monastery seeking Wu's guidance following a strange vision of a shrine maiden. Wu told her that the shrine maiden was an elemental master Aika and likely her ancestor, and Odie may have inherited her powers.

So the first part of her journey is easing into her new life as Wu's new student and trying to use her Elemental power.

This is a design I made for Odie back in my brainstorming period, around the time NS11 was a fairly new concept and the sets were first leaked. Yes I based her suit on Nya's because I intend for Odie to have inverted versions of her suits. I also doodled her human form.
