Thinking of Wolfstar and how I sound like a freak trying to explain how
This
Tumblr media
Became this
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like I would love to explain how around 2014, there was a sudden rise and resurrection second coming of christ our lord saviour Wolfstar. And, we fancasted so hard that almost 10 years later, we’re still stuck on this. And how most of the hp queer fandom started to latch onto these characters cause there was no other representation and these two started it all.
In the wake of she-who-shall-not-be-named spitting in our trans brothers and sisters’ faces, more of the hp fandom has retreated to the Marauders Era (a completely fanon lore with POCs and Queer people). That somehow this fanon non-profit lore had a better understanding of the world than canon and redeemed Slytherins by showing how inter-generational trauma affected them. By showing us that Bellatrix Lestrange was only a pawn in the Black family’s game. That Narcissa and Regulus were only doing what they had to do to survive. Sirius’ madness was not just for eccentric reasons.
This fandom highlighted the treatment of house elves. Talked about slavery. Talked about Queen Dame Lily EVANS’ childhood!! She wasn’t just a plot device to redeem Severus Snape. She was the muggle voice in the group. She was the witch that was outcasted by her muggle sister because she believed in magic. She was minority in two worlds. She was the Marauders’ friend. She wasn’t a prude or a damsel to be saved. She wasn’t just Harry’s mother. She was one of the brightest witches of her time. Harry inherited her WIT, her perseverance, her defiance, her pride, unrelenting nature. Harry Potter inherited more than her eyes. He inherited her ability to thrive in the face of trauma.
Joanne could have never given this to us. I don’t think any one person could give us this. This was a collection of rewritten lore from people who loved the universe it created but wished to be seen. And, I love my sometimes problematic and inconsistent little fandom.
How do I not sound insane doing this?

Remember To Keep Holy The Sabbath Day
By Frank J Casella
Tumblr media
Photo: 'Picture of Faith' Copyright 2014 Frank J Casella
The Third Commandment: Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor, and do all your work; but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God; in it you shall not do any work. 90 The sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath; so the Son of Man is lord even of the sabbath.
IN BRIEF:
2189 "Observe the sabbath day, to keep it holy" (Deut 5:12). "The seventh day is a sabbath of solemn rest, holy to the Lord" (Ex 31:15).
2190 The sabbath, which represented the completion of the first creation, has been replaced by Sunday which recalls the new creation inaugurated by the Resurrection of Christ.
2191 The Church celebrates the day of Christ's Resurrection on the "eighth day," Sunday, which is rightly called the Lord's Day (cf. SC 106).
2192 "Sunday . . . is to be observed as the foremost holy day of obligation in the universal Church" (CIC, can. 1246 § 1). "On Sundays and other holy days of obligation the faithful are bound to participate in the Mass" (CIC, can. 1247).
2193 "On Sundays and other holy days of obligation the faithful are bound . . . to abstain from those labors and business concerns which impede the worship to be rendered to God, the joy which is proper to the Lord's Day, or the proper relaxation of mind and body" (CIC, can. 1247).
2194 The institution of Sunday helps all "to be allowed sufficient rest and leisure to cultivate their amilial, cultural, social, and religious lives" (GS 67 § 3).
2195 Every Christian should avoid making unnecessary demands on others that would hinder them from observing the Lord's Day.
" ... Dear brothers and sisters, who then is the real slave? Who is the one who knows no rest? Those who are not capable of love! And all these vices, these sins, this egoism distance us from love and they make us unable to love. We are our own slaves and we cannot love because love is always outgoing.
The third Commandment which invites us to celebrate freedom with rest is, for us Christians, a prophecy of the Lord Jesus who breaks the interior slavery of sin, in order to make mankind capable of loving. True love is true freedom: it detaches us from possession, rebuilds relationships, knows how to welcome and value others, transforms all toil into a joyful gift and makes us capable of communion. Love makes people free even in prison, even if one is weak and limited.
This is the freedom that we receive from our Saviour, our Lord Jesus Christ."
-- POPE FRANCIS GENERAL AUDIENCE St Peter's Square Wednesday, 12 September 2018

Tumblr 2022
Hello, is anyone still here? In the year of our Lord and Saviour [insert deity] 2022? I remember the glorious days of 2012 to 2014 Tumblr, amongst all the obligatory toxicity of course. Nostalgia makes us all stupid doesn't it though? I look at my previous posts and cringe. God, I even cringe at this one. But what are all the moments of honesty if not unabashed awkwardness and owning up to your own cringiness?
I wish I was more active on Tumblr back in the day. Rather than a lurking pre-teen, too scared to voice her thoughts, terrified that someone will discover her blog. One thing that the last 10 years taught me is not to give a f*ck. Not a single one. If one of my lecturers or a future employer is reading this then hello, people don't stumble upon Tumblr by mistake, so I won't tell if you don't. Anyways, I'm sick and tired of caring more about what people think than being able to express myself. So buckle up, it will get personal and chaotic real quick. Stay tuned

343. Only men
Tumblr media
To know ourselves to be Loved by God and to let him Love others through us is a miracle in itself. We allow Love to touch people. We understand more and more the will of the Trinity.
A man listens to Paul’s words:
“He listened to Paul speaking, who looked intently at him, saw that he had the faith to be healed, and called out in a loud voice, ‘Stand up straight on your feet.’ He jumped up and began to walk about.” Acts, chapter 14, verses 9 to 10
In a leap, the man walks! What faith does Paul demonstrate in his Lord and how much he listens to the man’s faith that he’s brought back on his feet! What seems extinguished in this man was waiting only for a thoughtful look from the Apostle, in the name of Jesus, to set his faith on fire and “give him back his legs” to walk.
Paul discovers gifts he didn’t know, perhaps. Paul gives what he receives, the gift of healing, but even more, he receives the gift of perceiving faith in people. Paul saw that this man had faith in the words he said, received from Jesus.
The crowd is amazed by what Paul realizes before their eyes:
“When the crowds saw what Paul had done, they cried out in Lycaonian, ‘The gods have come down to us in human form.’” Acts, chapter 14, verse 11
We can imagine that Paul didn’t expect what has just been proclaimed. The danger against faith is to believe that there are gods, idols, even humans who think they take the place of God or give to humans God’s place.
This is perhaps the most corrosive tendency that exists against faith, that is, placing our faith in anyone or anything but Jesus. And even worse, thinking about taking ourselves or giving them God’s place.
Paul declares his faith by his enlightened reason of the divine Light. He defends himself vividly, immediately, to be a “god” at the whim, to the fantasy of humans. He seems aghast, demolished and he tells them:
“Men, why are you doing this? We are of the same nature as you, human beings.” Acts, chapter 14, verse 15
Paul is a man like all men. No better, no worse. He did not heal anyone. The good news that Paul conveys is that the human is transformed by faith in Jesus Christ. It’s Christ who heals this man. Jesus heals. Paul believes it for saying these words.
Let’s look deeper into our hearts and we will understand that only Jesus is God. This is not a healing operated by Paul:
“We proclaim to you good news that you should turn from these idols to the living God, ‘who made heaven and earth and sea and all that is in them.’” Acts, chapter 14, verse 15
With these words, many converted.
As for Paul, Jesus sends us the Holy Spirit so that we can live with contagious faith. Jesus sends us help, support:
“The Advocate, the holy Spirit that the Father will send in my name - he will teach you everything and remind you of all that (I) told you.” John, chapter 14, verse 26
Jesus announces that there will be people like Paul to intercede with others:
“Whoever loves me will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our dwelling with him.” John, chapter 14, verse 23
Jesus dwells in Paul to proclaim the truth and the Word with tenacious faith, but with human words. Paul conveys the truth and the Word of Jesus and it is Jesus who heals.
Of all that Jesus teaches it invites us to welcome him, then to understand and live it. Paul understood it very well. We also know holy people now who work accordingly to the will of God.
Let’s ask Jesus to adjust our faith to our reason and our reason to our faith, so that we may be more and more in the image of our Saviour and Lord, in the midst of the world into which he sends us.

Hindu perspective on an extraterrestrial being
Anonymous asked:
Hi there, I have a question that I hope isn’t too strange. I was wondering if one/some of your mods could give me insight on how a Hindu character (living in near-future America) might react to encountering a near-omniscient or “godlike” alien lifeform, one with purview over a wide area of several galaxies but not the entire universe nor the future (although it does experience time differently than humans) – trying not to get bogged down in the details here, essentially the being consists of extremely small (atomic-level) “tendrils” connected to various points across the galaxy, able to intersect with objects including living organisms, and communicates with humans by dispersing spores which are inhaled.
I have only a very surface-level understanding of Hinduism, but from what I know, one of the central concepts is Brahman, an ultimate cosmic energy/being that (or who?) is not fully understandable to humans but has supreme influence and knowledge of the universe. There are also Devas and other kinds of spirits/entities that exist on different planes of existence than humans? Please correct me if this is wrong.
So my question is, how would a practitioner of Hinduism likely feel about coming into contact with an extraterrestrial being with a very higher-than-human-scale way of interacting the universe? My intent is absolutely not to have this extraterrestrial being “"disprove”“ Hinduism or any religion, although it would definitely upset our understanding of science/technology, and I’d like to make it clear here as well as in-text that the being is not the creator of the universe or its ruler, it is just a lifeform spanning a very large area, with much greater knowledge of the universe than humans. How would this be viewed from a religious Hindu perspective? Would it be reasonable for a character to interpret the existence of this creature in a way that connects to the Hindu system of deities? Or is this totally off-base, and they would consider the extraterrestrial to be something outside the realm of Hinduism or not applicable to it?
Interesting. I personally don’t see a problem with this because
a) your alien lifeform is not being touted as a saviour or creator
b) it’s not set out to invalidate Hinduism, which would otherwise raise the troubling implications of pseudoarchaeology and
c) Hindu cosmology allows for the existence of multiple parallel universes, each occupied by living beings. In fact, the supposedly objective reality of our earthly domain is said to be a form of “maya” or celestial illusion. In such cases, the existence of life outside of our plane of existence wouldn’t be incongruous to Hindu beliefs.
Besides this, as a Hindu moderator whose first Bollywood experience was an alien-centric film, here’s my non-sarcastic. non-derisive advice for you: watch Koi Mil Gaya (2003). I think, for all its desi-typical mushy romance and lots of dramatic crying, it’s still actually a really good example of an Indian film where the protagonist (whose mother is a devout Vaishnavite Hindu) never faces any sort of internal existential crisis of faith upon meeting a powerful alien entity. In fact, insofar as I remember, he actually thanks Lord Vishnu for sending him his new “friend” while his mother, herself the wife of a scientist, never thinks of the alien as something “profane” in the religious sense of the word. This may seem offbeat but I really think this movie can help you get an idea of the situation you described.
(Alternatively, PK [2014] satirizes the weaponization and commodification of religion in India by having an alien face off against a fraudulent godman, you can check that out for a different perspective, although if you’re not desi it’s best not to use this form of satire for such touchy topics.)

Tai Recs: Drarry meets Church ~ a Religious/Belief/Faith list.
Some of you probably heard me talking on the Drarry Discord about my absolute LOVE for Priest / Father Harry, religious/faith themes and churches. So I decided to do a rec list on the topic! This one will be focused on Christianity (mainly Catholic) --I was raised in a Christian house of mixed faiths/religions, so they tend to catch my breath exactly because I feel like I can relate. This is NOT a master list, this is just a list of my favourite Christian Drarry fics that moved and comforted me. I hope you enjoy it :) 🌿
1) A Multitude of Sins by cryptonym (E, 40k+) HurtFest 2014
Peter 4:8 - Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. tw: attempted suicide
I think anyone who grew up in a Catholic church, surrounded by Priests and Deans and the parishioner life will relate to this fic. Father Harry is a devoted and caring priest, dealing with his own shadows, and always helping the church community. The way this fic was written and the whole plot of how they get entangled in a mix of feelings and sins is a work of art. This is my favourite church fic since I read it back in 2016. This fic keeps me company and brings me closer to so many old feelings. The life of being part of the Church is beautifully described and the questioning of religion and faith is a always there touch in Draco’s character. And the fall, my darlings, into love and rendition is the most beautiful gift cryptonym could have given our sinful souls. Also, It was written very respectfully and tastefully. A must read! 💜
2) By which we must be saved by @hogwartsfirebolt (G, 3k, 2020)
What happened was this: the one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord was born as the seventh month died. Or: the one where Harry Potter knew his whole life that he was meant to be a savior, and Draco Malfoy joined him along the way.
Welcome to Messiah vibes. Honestly, I’m a true sucker for Messiahs, for the unconditional love and respect for human beings, for the power of forgiveness and faith. This fic made me miss my own faith and made me want to kneel and pray, for love, for goodness, for everything and everyone, because we are all loved and sacred. I probably enjoyed it so much because this is in what I actually believe: in compassion and true goodness of the heart. This is the vibe of this fic, and this Harry Potter is my forever Lord and Saviour. Such a blessing this fic 😭🙏
3) Series: Tidings of Comfort by @blamebrampton (G, 9.9k, 2002)
When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life. Luckily for Draco Malfoy, London has places where the tired can rest and recover.
Comfort galore! If you want a Christmas vibe with churches, you are in the right place. Watching Draco find comfort in the hymns and ceremonies of the church made me feel cosy and comforted. Blamebrampton did a really wonderful job in transmitting the vibe of church and parishioner. Made me miss my old church days, the faces that start being familiar and the sounds and smells that transport us to feeling at home. Lovely! 🥰
4) No Absolutes  by @shealwaysreads (M, 402, 2019)
Draco understood worship. He understood unquestioning belief. He had grown within the walls of veneration and glorification of the past, of the few, of the pure.
What I talk about when I talk about poetry. This fic was breathtakingly written. Bella has always this beautiful ways with words and here it makes faith and belief and Draco’s character study even more careful and deep; using Religious symbolism and imagery to work through Draco’s feelings in the post-war. It’s a gift with a very meaningful depth!  🙌✨
5) No sweeter Innocence by drarryandharry (G, 1.7k, 2019)
For Harry, church was the first place he truly felt at home. What happens when he realises it isn’t his home anymore? - Harry is gay and Christian, and then he has a breakdown.
Which of us, queer and Christian, didn’t have a breakdown or two? This fic was such a sweet way of describing a Christian Harry going through life and growing up and questioning himself. This fic took me back to my sixteens, when my parents didn’t approve my bisexuality, when incredulously I found myself feeling safer inside a Catholic church than at my own home. It took me back to when I decided God was, to me, above all, love and hope and acceptance and compassion. 🌈🙏
Bonus fic: Modern Love by @tackytigerfic (E, 61k+, 2020)
Harry Potter, of all people, knows that life isn’t always fair. And no one gets to be happy all of the time. But surely there’s something more—something better—than a rubbish Ministry job, and a lonely old house, and that feeling that everyone out there is doing a better job of living than Harry is.
Hear me out, Modern Love is NOT a religious fic. But there’s church, and Draco being involved in the parishioner community, and there’s this sexy gay Vicar, Rev. Andrew. And its one of my all times favourite fic. The bits and pieces about the church and charity life made me miss my teenage years in the church community. And the way Tacky portrayed the church members and the Reverend and Draco singing hymns just made my heart grow fond and warm and everyone should read this fic. That’s why it’s a bonus fic and a MUST READ! 🤓❤
I hope you all enjoyed this humble rec list. I’ve never done a rec list before, but as I’m a sucker for the trope, Drarry meets Church, I thought it was a nice thing to do. We were talking about having a fest maybe someday on spiritual/religious/faith themes and a nice way to spur the topic is reading the lovely fics we already have from our incredible drarry squad. I made sure to add not only my favourites and comforting ones, but the ones that are very respectful towards the beliefs of Christian faith. If you would like to read more religious fics, I bookmark them here. Always check the tags!
Forgive me Father, for I have sinned. Love, Tai. 🙏

Andy dragging Ashley for the trash that he is is everything 😂. It’s just so weird to hear how unhappy he was in the band basically because of Ashley, back in 2014 or whenever when I was really into them I had NO idea things were like that, so when I heard Ashley had left it was kind of disappointing for me. But now I know I’m so fucking glad that shit’s gone 😂. Tbh I was never as crazy on him as I was the others cos he did feel off but now I know what he was really like and the misery he caused them (not to mention he’s an actual predator) I’m just so happy he’s gone and got replaced by our lord and saviour Lonny Eagleton who literally single handedly saved BVB and Andy’s sanity.

BAGONG YUGTO. New Chapter. This is Hope SG Filipino's 24th Anniversary theme. And while I just marked my 7th year with Hope this January, and now I am on my journey to 8 years, which is also the number for "new beginnings", I have been asking myself, what does this mean to me personally? What is my Bagong Yugto? "Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." ~Isaiah 43:19 BAGONG YUGTO: A NEW FIRE Early this year, my core team member lost her job and had to go back to the Philippines. And so all the more I had to stretch myself, empower the life group and lean more on His leading - not mine but by His Spirit. This is still a work in progress but I claim new wineskin, new core team members, who would be on fire for God, and then eventually as we enlarge ourselves, fruitfulness will follow.
Tumblr media
I pray that God continue to work in us, individually and as a life group, so that all the more we can experience how good, how loving and how faithful our God is! In the same way, the Lord has been stretching us in the ministry for the past year amidst this pandemic. He has done great things in the ministry and in how He is using social media as His platform. Day by day, we are learning and exploring new things on how we can make Him known all over the globe with this ministry He has blessed us with. I am just blessed and humbled to serve Him with all my heart, mind and soul, both in the ministry and in the life group. He is my fire! And all these is by Him and for Him! BAGONG YUGTO: A NEW PERSPECTIVE The past few weeks before the conference, I've been thinking a lot. I've been asking God what's His plan for my life. What's next for me? Should I move to the States too, when one by one my ward friends are leaving for US and a family friend's actually offering to help me should I decide to move. Besides, US was the original plan. Singapore was supposed to be just a detour. Almost 10 years after, I am still here. Plus that infamous question: Will I ever have my own family too? So, I was really praying that in the conference, I will receive a word from God or a clear direction where He wants me to go. The answer came fast. On the first day during worship, I heard it loud and clear:
Tumblr media
And all throughout the conference, I was just reminded over and over again. God is faithful, so be faithful. Keep sowing. Keep planting. Keep reaching out. Keep loving. And He will take care of the rest. Besides, He never told me to move. It was just me. You see, comparison triggers jealousy and so never compare your life to others because God has His own story for you and me. Look unto Jesus. Fix your gaze and thoughts upon Him. “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." ~Matthew 6:25-34 BAGONG YUGTO: A NEW HEART The first half of the year has been very painful for our family. I praise God that He has blessed me with a very loving and closely knitted family, and so the sudden loss of two of my Uncles in Papa's side, both I am close with, has left us bewildered, broken and very hurt. Early in April, Tito Erick, Papa's youngest brother, was hospitalized for COVID. In just a few days, he was transferred to the ICU because his oxygen level wasn't picking up and his biomarkers were all deranged. His wife, Tita Mitch, was then quarantined on another facility. Everyday we would all do video calls to check on Tita Mitch and get updates on Tito Erick. We would always encourage everyone in the family to keep on pressing on in prayer and keep believing that these too shall pass. That we've been through so much in the family before and we would be able to withstand all of these. I knew that God is a good God and He will never forsake us. I was anticipating that this will be our family's testimony of healing. But then one night, as if in a movie, there was a plot twist. Uncle Ahwee, Tita Shei's husband had a heart attack. He was pronounced dead on arrival. We were dumbfounded. I couldn't understand why all of these is happening, all together, at the same time. It felt like a dejavu. It felt like we were in 2014 all over again when Papa had an accident and he needed to go for a surgery and the next day Lolo Ama, Papa's father, passed away because of cancer. I questioned God why do our family had to experience all these pain again. Did I not pray enough for Him to hear my prayers? There were so many thoughts running on my head but we had to press on for Tito Erick. To still believe and keep praying that he will be healed. We kept Uncle Awhee's passing from Tito Erick. We even blocked him on Facebook so he won't see any post on Uncle Awhee's sudden death. During Uncle Awhee's wake, we were just amazed on how God poured out His love and provision through the help of the many people who loved Uncle Ahwee. Tito Erick's condition then was getting better. He regained some strength, enough to reply to us in our family's group chat. Every morning he would send some selfies to us to let us know that he is getting better. He found out about Uncle Awhee's passing when he saw a post from his high school batch mate but thank God during that time he was already able to take all the news in.
He then had a reswab and we were hoping that if it turned out to be negative, he will be transferred to a regular room. But the next day before dawn, on Lolo Ama's birthday, Tito Erick's oxygen levels dropped which then required him to be intubated. After two hours of being in critical condition, his heart stopped beating. The doctors tried to revive him but to no avail. It was so painful seeing his body lifeless through a video call. The whole day we were on iyak-tulala-iyak-tulala mode. We were so devastated. It felt like the enemy knew exactly where to attack me, that it found my Achilles heel, and it is succeeding. I already had thoughts of giving up and turning away from serving Him. He must have been punishing me for not being bold enough to do more for Him. But then I never heard my family questioned God. Yes, they couldn't understand why all these are happening, but they never once turned away from God. I thought I have the strongest faith, but theirs were stronger. God is still good, because despite of all what happened, He has made everyone in the family stronger in faith. He has reminded us how He has blessed us with a family that is so full of love, and that we are loved not just by Him but by the people that He has surrounded us with. I praise God for my spiritual family, ministry and friends who have helped me to stand when I couldn't, reminded me that I am not alone, and that God sees our pain and He is the only one who can turn it to joy. This wasn't the testimony I was hoping to share but God's thoughts are higher than mine. He has a different healing testimony He wanted me to share, not just for me, but for the whole family. Healing does not come in an instant. And until now, we are all still healing, slowly, taking it day by day. There are days that I still find myself dazed as if everything was just a dream. And same goes for them in the Philippines, in and out of loneliness and what ifs. But praise God we have each other to constantly remind ourselves that God is a good God and in Him, our broken hearts can be made whole again. As God promised in Revelations 21:5, "Behold, I make all things new," He is giving us a new heart. He is renewing our spirits day by day. He is making us lean more on Him, trust Him that all these are for our good, and draw closer and closer unto Him. He is our refuge and strength. At the end of day, He is a sovereign God. I may not have control on everything but He has. And He has me and my family on the palm of His hands. Here's a spontaneous song when I was pouring and crying myself out to God. It is only in His presence that we can find healing.
Tumblr media
THERE IS MORE. Every year, I would always have a bible verse declaration for myself and just before 2021 entered, instead of a verse, He gave me a whole chapter, Ezekiel 47. And it dawned on me, how it is unfolding before my eyes, that all these things that has happened on the first half of the year is teaching me and molding me to lean more and more on Him so I could go deeper and deeper into my relationship with Him. I look forward that after everything, I will receive my inheritance! That all these is for my good and a preparation for what is ahead. This is a beginning of a new chapter of my life and my walk with Him! What a great and loving God He is and I will forever praise Him with my life! Oh praise and glory be upon Him, the King of kings, Lord of lords, Lover of my Soul, my Lord and Saviour, Jesus! "As the man went eastward with a measuring line in his hand, he measured off a thousand cubits and then led me through water that was ankle-deep. He measured off another thousand cubits and led me through water that was knee-deep. He measured off another thousand and led me through water that was up to the waist. He measured off another thousand, but now it was a river that I could not cross, because the water had risen and was deep enough to swim in—a river that no one could cross. He asked me, “Son of man, do you see this?” "Then He led me back to the bank of the river. When I arrived there, I saw a great number of trees on each side of the river. He said to me, “This water flows toward the eastern region and goes down into the Arabah, where it enters the Dead Sea. When it empties into the sea, the salty water there becomes fresh. Swarms of living creatures will live wherever the river flows. There will be large numbers of fish, because this water flows there and makes the salt water fresh; so where the river flows everything will live. Fishermen will stand along the shore; from En Gedi to En Eglaim there will be places for spreading nets. The fish will be of many kinds—like the fish of the Mediterranean Sea. But the swamps and marshes will not become fresh; they will be left for salt. Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail. Every month they will bear fruit, because the water from the sanctuary flows to them. Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing.” ~Ezekiel 47:3-12

17th - 18th of March 2020 "The Gospel of the Kingdom" 1/3
In the LORD YESHUA, may the angel take this roll, so preach and witness to many, that the scriptures be fulfilled. Amen.
And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
Revelation 14.6-7
HalleluYAH Elohim Adonai Yeshua Ha Mashiach Tzvaot. Amen.
Shalom!
This blog/ message/ roll/ script is divided into two, "the good news" and "the bad news."
The good news is of course the gospel of Jesus Christ our Lord, even salvation [YESHUA]. Amen.
Why is it "good" then? Good question! Let us see the sovereign truth according to the holy scriptures:
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3.16
Why is "John 3.16" so good (and the whole Holy Bible of course,) is because no one has to perish "in hell" (and so in danger of the lake of fire,) as long as all would believe the only begotten Son of God our Lord Jesus Christ [Adonai Yeshua Ha Mashiach]. Amen.
The "more exciting bad news" shall have two parts after this, just as the Lord spoke often about hell than his kingdom of heaven, that many of his be warned clearly and firmly, so that no one be lost from his hand;
Yet many have tried, and been trying, but few are chosen every generation. Amen.
Well a certain faithful servant of God fulfilled a portion of the holy scriptures above, about the arrival of the "hour of judgment," (it is expressed here too: https://www.facebook.com/wildolivespublishing/posts/2946540185433373) yet this shall be one of the cores of part 2 and 3 of this message. Amen.
Our Lord himself on earth has preached the "good news" to the circumcision when he said, and it was written:
And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
Mark 1.15
And his forerunner too, John the Baptist, preached about the gospel of the kingdom of heaven saying:
And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Matthew 3.2
John by the Spirit knew the Messiah, the kingdom himself, the temple of God, was at hand. Amen.
Now, today, more than two thousand years after, my goodness! do ye still want to hear about the gospel of salvation, beloved?
How could you tell me then, We would to repentance?
That when the apostle Paul said and wrote,
And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. (1 Corinthians 15.17)
The Spirit of the LORD tells me many, so many, are perplexed?
Yet pride might surely be holding as many back, sorrowfully. Amen.
But Christ Jesus has risen and is at the right hand power sitting on the throne of God in heaven, that our faith is sure;
Therefore the good news, even the good story of redemption, is true, is so much more at hand! and is so near now than we first believe, beloved! HalleluYAH! Amen.
I'll leave you all tonight with two more holy scripture similar to "1 Corinthians 15.17," that otherwise many of you be lead of God to discuss amongst yourselves (to an online discussion these days of this invisible Corona virus which has many of nations appalled and arrested...):
Again, here's another from perfect love itself/himself, the LORD our Lord:
I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
John 8.24
Of course following are the apostles' words, this through John:
Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
1 John 4.2-3
Faithful is the LORD: But I also know many Christians, both Jews and Gentiles, knoweth not what "1John 4.2-3" truly means, that if God wills, I shall include this also later on;
For I would rather choose the love of charity always than to edify of truth: For many brethren today takes edification an offense against them and theirs, therefore I rather not anymore, Elohim Adonai being my witness;
See, that I am lone little Philadelphia in the Lord's patience, here in the isles of the far East up to this day, haply of my pearl of great price! Amen. HalleluYAH!
So, lo, hearken, the only way a sound person with a right mind, heart, and soul, may open a firm tight sturdy but locked door is by one perfect key that no man may duplicate:
Beloved, only YESHUA is the perfect key to the door of heaven (paradise and new Jerusalem, the kingdom of God in heaven,) even everlasting life: There is no Saviour but the LORD of hosts alone, even the Redeemer. Amen.
The only door and way to heaven is by the Lord Jesus Christ [Adonai Yeshua Ha Mashiach] himself, the Messiah and King of Israel: God is the only Saviour: Worship God then, who made the heavens, and the earth, and everything in them;
For by his pleasure he created them all. Amen. <3
Behold, after me in the Lord's Spirit, "Elijah and Moses" the two olive trees of two golden candlesticks (two mighty churches of God,) shall God our LORD send by his same Spirit. Amen.
When? only God knows that: Maybe after two more years, (or two more days, or two more weeks, or two more months,) depending solely in the pleasure and perfect timing of the Lord God Almighty of heaven and of earth. Amen.
What would they do greatly?
Of course ye know well the rest according to the holy scriptures beloved. Amen.
This part 1 is for you, beloved saints; I do know it's so brief, but ye have not been given me, which got nothing to do with our Lord and his grace of love;
For the workers of iniquity, together with antichrists, work every kind of mischief they could to hinder the gospel especially for the Jews this very last time, in their vanity. Amen.
-------
Therefore the LORD too, Faithful and True, had cut the days short; that if things do not perfectly come to pass (only by detail,) it is because God, (again I must say of his will,) had cut the days short against all presumptuous evil works to hinder Adam's redemption;
Would the LORD break or bend his words? Nay. God Almighty, the Faithful, had cut it short only, that he may save few more in the flesh; HalleluYAH; Amen.
-------
I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
Luke 18.8
-------
Yet I still got part 2 and 3 of this to deliver, if the Lord wills:
Those following, in God's time, are for the nations, the dwellers of earth, that we braise ourselves in the truth and in its power. Amen.
The grace of God our Saviour be with you all. Amen.
HalleluYAH Elohim Adonai Yeshua Ha Mashiach Tzvaot. Amen. Selah.
ISAIAH 42.8; 43.11; MATTHEW 24.14; LUKE 18.7-8; JOHN 14.6-7; ACTS 9.20; 2 JOHN 1.7 etc.
Peace/ Shalom 🌈💖💪😇💪💖🌈

fanfic trope preferences
tagged by @stressed-crow, thank you for giving me momentary feeling of fullfilment in this tiring time and age
↠ slowburn or love at first sight (while i don’t believe in love at first sight irl i also absolutely love spending long hours getting lost in a reality outside of ours so yea)
↠ fake dating or secretly dating (i’d say both but classics never get old)
↠ enemies to lovers or best friends to lovers (when it’s well written i’d almost say it is my favorite trope)
↠ “oh no, there’s Only One Bed,” or long distance correspondence (...very ashamed to admit i think i’ve never read anything close to the second option)
↠ hurt/comfort or amnesia (for the love of our lord and saviour not the amnesia i still from time to time have war flashbacks to that one e*o fanfic that hurt me beyond repair in like 2014; i need me some comforting in this harsh harsh world)
↠ fantasy au or modern au (i generally read more of modern aus bc fantasy worlds are much harder to build and - in my fandom(s) at least - they aren’t really popular but when someone can pull it of? yes please!)
↠ mutual pining or domestic bliss (this might be just my masochistic tendenties breaking thru but if there isn’t at least a little bit of angst i tent to not read it - exceptions exist ofc)
↠ smut or fluff (this is a hard one, it’s kind of both but also none, once again i don’t usually like just 100% fluffy stuff but when i’m feeling extra crappy i eat that ish up; i don’t read pwp unless i really like the ‘concept’ but if it’s a part of the longer plot then hell yea, i think i actually like that more than just pure pg fics)
↠ canon-compliant/missing scenes or fix-it
↠ alternate universe or future fic
↠ one-shot or multichapter (i tend to read one-shots more simply because i hate waiting for writes to finish when it’s an ongoing story but also i do not read anything shorter than 2k words, my favourite kind of one-shots have around 10k.. we love escapism)
↠ kid fic or roadtrip fic (as much as i am not a fan of the living breathing small creatures i do like them in fictional reality unfortunately a lot of people do not know how children of specific ages actually act which sometimes bothers me to the point of dropping the fic)
↠ reincarnation or character death (neither tbqh)
↠ arranged marriage or accidental marriage ((im a bi you cannot force me to make decisions), arranged marriage is also the golden trope you can try prying out of my cold dead hands; accidental marriage can be pretty hilarious tho)
↠ high school romance or middle-aged romance (there are times when i like to pretend it’s completely realistic to meet the loyl at hs, however as i’m getting older :’) it stops being relatable unfortunately)
↠ time travel or isolated together (... it’s 2020 *can i make it anymore obvious*)
↠ neighbours or roommates (*and they were roommates*)
↠ sci-fi au or magic au (i was always more into w.i.t.c.h. as a child :3)
↠ bodyswap or genderbend (neither)
↠ angst or crack (like i said i need a little bit of angst to finally feel something and be temporarily happy with my life but yes, if i feel like losing a few of my braincells crack it is)
↠ apocalyptic or mundane (i’ve read a few apocalyptic fics that are some of my favourites however i’m not really into that as a trope)
i do not really have anyone else to tag bc i’m a loner like that, sorry to disappoint, but if anyone wants to do this, go off my people :)

278. Our remoteness
Catholics do not always realize this, but the removal of people from the Church and all the invalid reasons that result from it causes a distance from God. And getting away from God can open the door to more wickedness, more suffering, more harm, more loneliness and sadness. Our remoteness also gives reasons to others to not follow Jesus.
Often, we hear people say, “but these people believe and help others!” Certainly, they are already doing well. But they lack a vital part of faith; the Word and the Eucharist.
A good person is a good person. A canoe is a canoe.
A good person who prays is a good person who prays. A ship is a ship.
A good person who prays and receives the Word and the Eucharist is a good person who prays and receives the Word and the Eucharist. A Church is a Church.
We live on reserves of Love when we stay away from prayer, the Word and Eucharist. A car that runs on low fuel will be driven to a total stop and stay put if we don’t go to a gas station to fill the tank. The car will stop where it stops. Then, the elements of nature will cease the car and it won’t roll anymore. It just might become good for scrap.
People who say they believe they do practise, but those who do not celebrate and do not revive in their Church, their reserves are emptying, their strength is dwindling. They risk freezing and no longer being able to return to Church. They are staying away from God.
The only way we can fill our reserves of Love is by receiving the Word and the Eucharist. It is also an opportunity to give the offering of our life to God and to thank him for all that he offers us with justice. All that is of God is just (justice) for us.
Let’s also learn to reconcile with our neighbour. For christians, to reconcile with our neighbour is also to invite him once more to walk with us in faith.
Let’s place our life on the Altar where the offerings of bread and wine become the Body and Blood of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Let’s become more and more transformed in God’s life, the Eucharist in us, through the Word. And ask Jesus to touch the generous hearts of people outside the walls of the Church and especially to reach them so they may rediscover the Eucharist and the Word.
The new American Bible, 2011-2014

The Court of Mordred
Mordred the Traitor
His wife Cwyllog (supposedly deceased)
His sons Melehan and Melou
His supporters:
Gwallanus, father-in-law of Mordred, King of Strathclyde
Eugenius III, King of Dál Riata
Lord Heliades, claimed lord of Albany
Jarl Vidkun of Norway
Sir Oswald of Ancoats
Sir Enoch, created Lord of Wolverhampton
Ian of Bannside, from Hibernia
Lord Roderick of Cetecopp
Lord of Wixan’s Bridge
Duke Chelric of Saxony
Mordred is of course there. Arthur’s son and nephew, bastard bastard, the Arthurian Alt-Righter, embodiment of bad rule, treacherous and twisted. Of course for me T. H. White wrote my favourite Mordred... not personally likeable, I mean as in the way Frollo is one of my fave Disney villains.
Tumblr media
I mean I think he works best. He is frightening in his all too realistic villainy, whipping up hatred between groups of people, crushing on minorities, acting like a hero of the majority when he doesn’t care for them. In short a modern politician.
Tumblr media
And his court? The people who lead to the Last Battle?
Tumblr media
I imagine his wife Cwyllog fled him when she realised his evil. He doesn’t love her. It’s worse then usual arranged marriages, he actively ill-treats her and doesn’t see her as a person. I imagine he has kind of warped views on women. Cwyllog I think fakes her death and flees away, which explains how Mordred thinks he can marry Guinevere if he is already married. Of course he is already defying the Church by marrying his uncle/father’s wife but if his wife was still around... well, he wants to marry Guinevere and she has served her purpose to him.
Melehan and Melou. The sons of Mordred have two types of deaths in a way. In one Arthur’s heir Constantine slew them in a Church. In the Vulgate they die in battle against Lancelot. So I was thinking of dividing it up a bit.
The elder Melehan leads the revolt but dies in battle, Vulgate-wise.
But Melou is still a child and hides in a Church, where he is murdered. I’m still unsure whether it was Constantine or Aurelius who performed the murder. But Constantine gets the blame and Aurelius encourages this blame, though he advocated for ending Mordred’s line, planning to gain more power himself. And of course he wants his uncle out so he can become King.
Gwallanus/Caw of Strathclyde has numerous children, including Gildas the famous historian of the era, born in the year of Badon. According to some stories Arthur slew Caw’s son Hueil mab Caw. In my version I will go with the raiding option, something Arthur had to do as Hueil was causing trouble in his lands, so naturally he put an end to it. But I was thinking Mordred married Cwyllog due to attempts to forge a peace between Arthur and Caw. Also Strathclyde and Lothian are close to each other.
Anyway, Caw supports Mordred, hoping he will have a Grandson sitting Arthur’s throne. He’s kind of like Mace Tyrell, happy to support pretty bad causes for the sake of his greed and family ambitions.
Eugenius III is one of the legendary Kings of Scotland, apparently an ally of Mordred. I have reforged him in my mind as a repressed asexual Epicurean who feels driven to overcompensate by the fact he cannot fit into traditional masculine norms and believes himself incapable of loving. Though ultimately he takes his time coming there as he is uncertain who will win.
Heliades is a figure in the Vulgate, apparently offered the role of Lord of Albany for supporting Mordred. I imagine this is a point of contention with Eugenius, who was hoping to gain more power himself, and doesn’t like someone else being appointed ruler.
Jarl Vidkun of Norway alludes to Vidkun Quisling, well-known for allying with the Nazis when they invaded Norway, Fører of the Nasjonal Samling (National Union) and becoming ‘Prime Minister’ of the subjugated country. His treachery is so infamous it named a type of treachery, collaborating with enemies. Norway briefly brought back the death penalty to execute Nazis. One of whom was Quisling.
With Vidkun I imagine he intended to ally with Lucius Tiberius when they tried conquering Europe, as to me Lucius is kind of Hitler. Lucius was killed before his forces reached Norway, but Vidkun embodies the remnants of Fascism, living on secretly. I imagine him as a sort of mentor in evil to Mordred, meeting him and giving him advice, inspiring him to use Lucius’ salute for his party. The salute in real life derived from an idea the Romans did this, but it is unclear if they really did. Might come from Oath of the Horatii.
Tumblr media
Oswald... well that alludes to Sir Oswald Ernald Mosley of Ancoats, 6th Baronet, founder of the Black Shirts, a Fascist organisation in 30s Britain. Of course 80 years later I imagine they’d have seats in European Parliament while screaming how they want to smash it up. Though if he did favour Lucius Tiberius... could be Oswald is dead now but his family supports Mordred.
Enoch alludes to John Enoch Powell, the first MP for Wolverhampton South West, which he held from 1950-1974. He made the controversial Rivers of Blood speech in 1968, in which he claimed immigration was ruining the country. It’s a favourite among, to put it bluntly, racists, the standard immigrants are to blame, we’ll be a minority in our own country, blacks will dominate whites and other such Malebolgian shit.
Ian of Bannside... Ian Paisley, vile fellow, a hate preacher who helped keep troubles between Catholics and Protestants going in Northern Ireland with his fiery sermons, hating on Catholicism, ecumenism and homosexuality. His opposition in Northern Ireland to Catholics helped start the Troubles. He created the Democratic Unionist Party in 1971, far-right jerks. Paisley’s actions, refusing to allow power-sharing and opposing agreements continued to cause trouble. He was created Baron Bannside, before heading across Acheron in 2014. His son Ian Paisely Jr. is pretty vile as well. The DUP propped up the Conservatives after the last election in exchange for a  b̶r̶i̶b̶e̶  donation of 1.5 billion being sent to Northern Ireland. And Ian is even in trouble with his own Party now. Delightful.
Cetecopp... Alludes to Sir Roderick Spode from Jeeves and Wooster, a caricature of Oswald Mosley. He is an unpleasant thug who starts up The Saviours of Britain... but as they are out of shirt colours they are the Black Shorts, a parody of the Black Shirts. He inherits the Earldom of Cetecopp and once referred to as Lord Spodecup.
Wixan’s Bridge is what Uxbridge was originally called. And the current MP for Uxbridge?
Tumblr media
Won’t do much with some, probably just names and scant descriptions rather then full characters. Just so long as it’s clear I hate those demagogues.
The fact is I imagine Mordred attracting the nastiest crowd of people. If he is to be the alt-right again his gang contains various embodiments of bigotry throughout the ages. The Alt-Right is in ways Nazism in a new uniform. No longer armbands but MAGA hats.
And there are Saxons. Duke Chelric of Saxony is the Duke from Cligès. He is angry Cligès prevented him taking Fenice. He has no children with the wife he had instead and blames Cligès for this. His nephew is dead, slain by Cligès. Therefore it looks like his Dukedom will fall as his cousins eye up the land. Now an old bitter man he wants revenge... Cligès is in Constantinople so he hopes to get revenge on their family, attacking their great-uncle Arthur. Mordred is Cligès’ uncle but... he gives the opportunity for revenge.
Saxons might be a little Nazi-coded... but could be comical to have them slightly ‘British’, as in English. They are the kin of the English.
I’m sure I’ll find more, based on Mordred’s allies in various texts. But if I can I would like to update them, give them a spin.
Let us hope that the way things are going now we will avert the danger of further civil strife. Let us hope we can avert Camlaan. And to do that Mordreds need to be kept out of power.
