#ofc Ash's result would be this accurate

Prediction for the portland game?? Since you seem to always be accurate lol
I honestly don't know. I would hope that the final, heroic actions from Syd and Ash ignited a spark in the Pride team and they'll be rearing to grab three points and leapfrog to the top of the table (especially given that NCC got rocked by an unsuspecting Dash team with that honestly incredible set piece that had 6" Casey Murphy turtling).
But! For me, the potential for a Pride win comes down to the Starting XI. If I see Crystal Thomas and MDH on there, the Pride will scrape by with a draw or loss (this chance reduces the less minutes they have). If Marc has any sense, he would see the impact Abi, Chels, and Konya have had since coming on as subs and give them more meaningful minutes considering that CT and MDH have not proven (at least in my opinion) that they are making their minutes worth while. As substitutes, maybe they could be options, but not starting.
Same with Toni - bless our Vegan queen, but she's honestly not the best defender. In fact, I would switch MDH and Toni because MDH is slow but she's more defensive than offensive (and her distribution for offensive chances is abysmal). Toni has a bomb of a foot and is one of the few Pride players who can actually pass decently AND accurately at long distances. She may be slower, but if she functions as a defensive midfielder, she could add so much more to the play. And that would open her up to play perhaps fewer minutes and get a sub in in the second half like Chelsea (who I think is actually great).
My keys to the game?
First Goal Matters. The Pride's record is 4 draws 2 Losses when they concede first, and only won once coming from behind, and that was against Kansas City (which is like, does it really matter?). The Pride cannot afford to concede early because aside from a handful of players, the majority of the field players crawl into a shell and basically roll over to accept defeat when behind on goals.
Stop the Sloppy. No more faulty, risky back passing. Especially with a team that has an offensive juggernaut in Charley/Weaver/Smith, you cannot afford them to go 1v1 with Ash because while I trust in Ash, I honestly could see them taking full advantage of the slower, sloppy defense to generate chances. I want to see the defense playing more conservatively if needed, don't be trying to be playing with fire, not with this type of team.
Midfield Transition. I want to see Crystal (if she starts) do something more than just point the ball the same direction her body is facing. Find help, pass, cross to clear, do something!! Don't just get knocked over like a feather because you can't be strong and hold your ground. The midfield need to get their balls out of the purses for the lack of a better expression and be stronger. This team cannot be relying on Syd to do everything because a) it's not sustainable, and b) it's not fair for her to carry this team herself.
Of course, Ash will need to be on her toes. She's been really consistent so far and I think she knows the stakes especially after watching the NCC game. She probably knows she's the Pride's second best chance at delivering them the W (Syd being the first ofc). If she can keep her team in the game, they need to act on it. Ash can't be flipping over the turf if her team decides they don't want to play like that anymore. They need to build the mentality she has.
Predictions, though? If Portland scores first, the game results in a Pride loss, and if they're lucky (and I mean LUCKY), they can draw. If the Pride win, I still see them drawing at best (and if they're lucky, they can scrape by with a win). But they're going up against Bella Bixby between the posts who (in my opinion) is just as solid as AD. They will need to push hard to get the goals and the three points.

Misty and Shouta from pokeani, Grindelwald and Credence from fbawtft and Alphonse from FMA for the character thing
Full disclosure, but I’m changing the “hotness” ones to “aesthetic attractiveness” instead, both because it better suits my style (since I’m ace), and also because some of these characters are kids, and saying they’re aesthetically pretty (in the same way wolves or mountains are) is a lot more comfortable for me than saying they’re “hot.”
—Misty—
General Opinion:
fall in a hole and die | don’t like them | eh | they’re fine I guess | like them! | love them | actual light of my life
Aesthetic Attractiveness Level:
get away from me | meh | neutral | theoretically aesthetically attractive but not my type | pretty aesthetically attractive | gorgeous! | 10/10
Hogwarts House:
Gryffindor | Slytherin | Ravenclaw | Hufflepuff
Best Quality:
I’d have to say her compassion! Misty has shown, from her very first appearance, that she is incredibly compassionate. Although she yelled at (and slapped) Ash in her very first scene because she thought he had endangered Pikachu’s life, that’s just it: She thought he had endangered Pikachu’s life, and right after she snapped, “Not you!” in response to him saying he was okay, her voice immediately softened as she worriedly asked if Pikachu was breathing. So from her very first appearance, although we see that she does have a temper (and also that she’s knowledgeable/well-equipped for travel, in contrast to Ash), we also see that she is compassionate and has a softer side to her as well. And that’s far from the only instance; although Misty is an incredibly honest person and (usually) never hesitates to let someone know what she thinks, she shows on numerous occasions that she has ready compassion for those in need, for those who are suffering or hurting, that she can be gentle with and protective over them. And while many say that Togepi softened her up, I honestly disagree. I think it’s more accurate to say that Togepi gave her more opportunities within the show to display her more nurturing side, which was always there but just not brought out as often as it was once Togepi hatched and became hers.
Worst Quality:
On the flip side, though, Misty does have a hair-trigger temper in the beginning and can be incredibly impatient. She does get better about this as she matures and develops as a character (compare how she is at the start to how she is at the end of her time on the show, and you’ll see a girl who is so much more mellow and happier with where she is in life), but the fact remains that, especially early on, her temper could be set off on the smallest thing and she’d let her anger or impatience get the best of her. This hurts her ability to train Psyduck the most; while it’s true that her impatience and aggravation toward Psyduck is usually played for laughs, and while it’s also true that Psyduck was far from the brightest pokémon, I think it’s also true that Misty just did not have the right temperament to train him. She was too impatient with him, and had she spent more time actually trying to teach him things, maybe he could have learned or evolved at some point. But Misty wanted him to be battle ready right then, right there, and it just wasn’t happening. Again, she gets better with him as time goes on (though she also seems to have given up training him entirely and just lets him live at the Gym), but I do think that her temperament made her a bad fit for him, and that as his trainer (unwillingly or not) she should have put more effort into actually trying to train him, rather than just rooting for the enemy pokémon to give him a headache so he could use his psychic attacks. :/
Ship Them With:
Ash
Serena
Rudi, but only in the context of this one fic, which was actually an Ash/Misty fic but had some Rudi/Misty in the beginning. It’s an AU, but it was so well done, especially since Rudi was treated like an actually good (and heroic, even!) character, rather than being warped into a bastard to make Ash look good. Although I was still looking forward to the Ash/Misty we all knew was coming (ofc), I still liked how the Rudi/Misty was handled, too! That said, I don’t really ship this in canon, since canon didn’t make it appealing, really. But in the context of this fic, I did like it.
Brotp Them With:
PIKACHU
Brock
Tracey
Max
May
Delia (as her future mother-in-law ;D)
Gary (when they’re older, though)
Needs to Stay Away From:
I … can’t really think of anyone?
Misc. Thoughts:
Haters gonna hate, but I still think Misty was a great character, and I’m going to be super mad if the new movie writes her out of Ash’s origin story. Neither he nor Pikachu would have survived without her, and as much as I’m looking forward to the new movie, I’m going to be pissed if they write her out. (Especially since … well. I’ll keep this thought to myself because it’s extra salty and I don’t want to accuse the current crew of anything, but … >( Let’s just say there’s no good reason to do it, but I can think of one very bad one.)
—Shouta—
General Opinion:
fall in a hole and die | don’t like them | eh | they’re fine I guess | like them! | love them | actual light of my life
Aesthetic Attractiveness Level:
get away from me | meh | neutral | theoretically aesthetically attractive but not my type | pretty aesthetically attractive | gorgeous! | 10/10
Hogwarts House:
Gryffindor | Slytherin | Ravenclaw | Hufflepuff
Best Quality:
Hmmm, probably his dedication to detail. Shouta is very, very attentive and observant, and he diligently takes notes on various battles, studies them, and applies them to his future battling techniques. He takes a sort of “slow but steady” approach to battling and training, and while it might be slow, it clearly does pay off in the long run, and I think that’s admirable.
Worst Quality:
On the other hand, I think that Shouta probably has a tendency to get too wrapped up in this sometimes, and he struggles a bit with thinking on his feet. I think he gets better about this, but whereas Ash is a very improvisational battler, Shouta prepares strategies in advance, tries to stick with them, and then has trouble adjusting on the fly when thrown a curveball. He could do with learning how to better think outside the box.
Ship Them With:
One-sided toward Ash, in the sense that I think he has a pretty big crush on Ash that Ash doesn’t actually reciprocate.
He could be cute with Clemont? They could be nerd bfs.
Brotp Them With:
Ash
Serena
Shauna
Needs to Stay Away From:
Umm … can’t really think of anyone for this, haha.
Misc. Thoughts:
I don’t really have strong feelings or thoughts about Shouta, but I think he was cute and a good character.
—Grindelwald—
General Opinion:
fall in a hole and die | don’t like them | eh | they’re fine I guess | like them! | love them | actual light of my life
Aesthetic Attractiveness Level:
get away from me | meh | neutral | theoretically aesthetically attractive but not my type | pretty aesthetically attractive | gorgeous! | 10/10 would bang
Hogwarts House:
Trick question! Grindelwald went to Durmstrang.
Best Quality:
He doesn’t have a best quality. He is a child abusing wizard Nazi.
Worst Quality:
All of his qualities are the worst, but especially the emotional manipulation and predatory behavior he has toward children (namely, Credence).
Ship Them With:
I mean, canonically he was bfs with Dumbledore, but if I may soapbox for a minute here, I don’t see why so many people are like “OMG I CAN’T BELIEVE THEY TOOK ONE OF TWO CANONICALLY GAY CHARACTERS AND HAD AN ABUSER PLAY HIM” because tbqh Grindelwald himself was an abuser. He’s a bad person, this is not good representation! Like, I’m not saying “he’s a bad guy” i.e. he’s a villain, because obviously he was, but the only redeeming thing Grindelwald ever had going for him was refusing to help Voldemort and maybe, possibly regretting his actions after rotting in prison. That’s it. Grindelwald abused Credence in the movie, he tried to torture Aberforth, he’s the reason Ariana died, and it wouldn’t surprise me if he was emotionally abusive toward Dumbledore, either. Grindelwald was a fucking fuck and, honestly, it’s fitting that they cast an abuser to play an abuser. Depp’s just playing what he knows.
So like, Dumbledore/Grindelwald is canon, but really I ship Grindelwald/Prison. That’s the OTP.
Brotp Them With:
No one.
Needs to Stay Away From:
CREDENCE
Dumbledore
Aberforth
Ariana
EVERYONE
Misc. Thoughts:
Can’t wait for this asshole to go jail, directly to jail, not passing Go, not collecting 200 galleons.
—Credence—
General Opinion:
fall in a hole and die | don’t like them | eh | they’re fine I guess | like them! | love them | actual light of my life
Aesthetic Attractiveness Level:
get away from me | meh | neutral | theoretically aesthetically attractive but not my type | pretty aesthetically attractive | gorgeous! | 10/10 would bang
Hogwarts House:
Trick question! Credence was American, so if he had gone to wizarding school, it would have been Ilvermorny and not Hogwarts.
Best Quality:
Probably that, at his core, he was so gentle? I mean, his magic got out of control at times and resulted in the deaths of those who had hurt him, but he put up with abuse for so long, for most of his life, and it always took him being pushed to the brink before he finally lost control and people started dying. Newt tells us earlier in the movie that most obscurials lose control in early childhood, but Credence didn’t, and I think that speaks a lot to his self-control and his lack of desire to hurt people until he’s pushed beyond his limit.
Worst Quality:
He’s not the best judge of character, but it’s also not his fault. He was an abused child, and Grindelwald showed him kindness. It’s not his fault for listening.
Ship Them With:
No one. He has more than enough to be getting on with at the moment, and he didn’t have romantic chemistry or tension with anyone in the movie.
Brotp Them With:
Newt
Tina
Modesty
Needs to Stay Away From:
Grindelwald
Mary Lou (his adopted mother—but thankfully that bitch is dead)
Misc. Thoughts:
He’s a precious baby child who needs to be protected.
—Alphonse—
General Opinion:
fall in a hole and die | don’t like them | eh | they’re fine I guess | like them! | love them | actual light of my life
Aesthetic Attractiveness Level:
get away from me | meh | neutral | theoretically aesthetically attractive but not my type | pretty aesthetically attractive | gorgeous! | 10/10
Hogwarts House:
Gryffindor | Slytherin | Ravenclaw | Hufflepuff
Best Quality:
Definitely his desire to help and protect others, as well as the patience he usually demonstrates when doing so. Al has such a patient, gentle soul, and it’s so easy to see why so many people are drawn to him, why they pull comfort from his presence, et cetera. He also provides much needed grounding to Ed, and I think it’s safe to say that Ed recognizes and cherishes this.
Worst Quality:
Al can sometimes fall victim to … I don’t want to necessarily say self-pity or martyrdom, but something close to it. Aside from the times when he falls into angst spirals due to his situation (which is understandable), Al also has a tendency to blame himself for literally everything and make everyone else’s problems his problems. While this does lead to him protecting them, it also leads to him taking a lot of swords, both literal and metaphorical, which isn’t always the best thing.
Ship Them With:
May
Winry (yeah, I went there)
Brotp Them With:
ED
Winry
Izumi (as his adopted mama)
Sig (as his adopted papa)
Needs to Stay Away From:
Barry the Chopper
All of the Homunculi
Misc. Thoughts:
Al is a sweet prince and I love him to pieces.
