potentially unpopular headcanon but personally i find it hilarious if nana, despite being a nun, is actually incredibly chill and accepting of everything except the fact that jim doesn't want to be a serial killer

we already know she's cool with jim's gender. extend that to "she's accepting of all queer identities." she's accepting of different religions, and when 16-year-old jim told her they were an atheist she was fine with it. she gave jim a very informative, sex-positive education when they went through puberty (the "or is this a living in sin situation" line was a joke). she's okay with jim drinking or doing drugs as long as they're safe about it. she supports the right to an abortion also safe abortions exist in ofmd dw abt it, roach has probably done one before. jim could've become a sex worker and nana would've accepted it.

but jim choosing to not hunt down and murder seven people? shame. embarrassment. disapproval. i didn't raise you to act like this. eres una decepción.

anyway I love that Oluwande gets that bonding moment with Nana over Pete being an idiot and I love that Olu's like "coming Nana~" and laughing with her while Jim is suffering but that bonding isn't played as them teaming up against Jim and I love that after Nana tells some of Jim's story to Olu Jim themself chooses to tell him more and I love that Jim leaving isn't a rejection or an undoing of "I could be family" it's just how it is & because Olu is family now that's how it is and I love that Olu walks away first and that's not a rejection either and I love that Nana is sorry but wouldn't change a thing and I love that they have that last conversation in Spanish
