the only experiences i’ve had with pokemon growing up are when, in elementary school, i and a couple of other kids were trying to trade the cards but we had no idea what standards to trade them by so we were sort of just shuffling them around and one vivid scene in which ash(?) and pikachu are in a canyon and it sort of pans to show team rocket and they’re maybe going to have a stand off.
#vt.talk#oh i watched detective pikachu a while ago so does that count?#and ive seen some stuff on the internet though not muc#anyways i just kinda find it funny how much i know about some popular franchises#like star wars was just the 'i am your father' through memes; my friends arguing about the best watching order; watching one of the movies#i think tfa on a bus ride and honestly that's where i learned the most. like the fact that darth vader was dead and luke and co were old now#and then at disneyworld someone dressed as someone from star wars was talking about padawans or something; oh and obv i knew what#lightsabers were.#naruto i learned about cause the naruto run and i was a bit of an obsessive middle schooler so i had to learn the context of the naruto run#i know nothing about star trek except data's great spock's great and there's a kirk in there?#marvel i used to know nothing about except through my friends but then i watched some movies#and there were various anime i learned about because i used to listen to nightcore and people in the comments would be like#'poor [character whose image was used as the image for the video]' and id be like who tf is character#and figure it out#then usually be like 'damn that was fucked up' before forgetting about it until something triggered the memory#like once i was shelving books in the library and some of them were black butler and i was like 'wait i know this.'#oh and atla i knew nothing about except that i thought it was the same as the avatar movie and i remember seeing the comics around#then there were how to write a good villain/redemption arc posts with azula and zuko respectively#lets see what else.#see if it's a popular book series i will have read at least the first book so those don't count#ig i learned a bit more about some animes through listening to their osts though i don't really care as much about learning then#and then i know the basic gists of a lot of movies. like indiana jones deals with artifacts and adventure#james bond i read the first few books of but wasn't impressed at all#hp i unfortunately read and then decided 'ok' and moved on#and now i can't look back without distaste#oh and i do know a bit about like bleach op and another i think?#oh and i also remember seeing arabic sub of hxh episodes but idk arabic so i didn't click on them#unrelated to everything in this post but i would not survive star wars#i'd see darth vader and just start LAUGHING#i won't be able to run and he'd just kill me

Yoongi: Practice ending in twenty. I'll be over after. Do you want me to bring anything?
You: Just yourself. ❤️
You drop your phone onto the counter, doing a quick study of the dining room. Plates, cutlery – check. Ambient lighting, candles – check. Dinner that you spent a whopping five hours slaving over – check. You had gone over this checklist in your head about six times now but it didn't seem enough. Everything needed to be absolutely perfect. It wasn't an anniversary or birthday, although you know Yoongi might momentarily suspect so when he walks in and sees your usual cluttered apartment so romantically decorated. Perhaps it was the marathons of dramas you've been binging lately or perhaps you were just hit with the lovebug, but you craved romance.
It wasn't that your relationship with Yoongi wasn't great. It definitely was. Your personalities fit together like a glove, you got along with each others friends and families, you made each other happy. You were … comfortable. And while the two of you had some memorably heated moments, it's been a long time since you felt that spark of excitement in your relationship. You didn't blame Yoongi though. Being one out of seven members of the biggest music group in the world at the moment, his mind was always preoccupied – recording songs, producing songs, learning choreography, filming videos and comeback appearances, putting on concerts, etc. You didn't begrudge him his job and you certainly didn't expect him to have the energy to initiate anything extra into your relationship.
So that's why you're going to do it instead. Tonight.
You have a three-part plan of action. First? Dinner. You've spent the majority of the week watching YouTube videos and cooking programs on cable, looking up and purchasing the necessary ingredients and utensils to make the greatest plate of carbonara that Yoongi has ever tasted. Second? A romantic movie. You've converted your living room into the ultimate cuddle area. Both couches have been rearranged and pushed against the wall. You've lined the width of your floor with pillows and blankets and bowls of snacks that you know he enjoys. You even rented a new release that you've heard is super romantic – The Sun Is Also a Star. And third? Well, after the cuddle session, being pressed up against Yoongi for so long, you know your body and you know what it will be craving. That's why you've saved and used two of your paychecks to purchase the most expensive, scandalous yet sexy black lace lingerie you could find.
You were definitely getting lucky tonight.
After making sure everything was in place in the dining room, living room and bedroom, you go to the mirror to confirm you still look as good now as you did an hour ago when you first got ready. You've worked hard on your hair and makeup and put legitimate effort into your outfit – a dark yellow sundress with a flowing, loose black cardigan. The lingerie feels uncomfortable under your clothes but at the same time you feel a boost of confidence knowing you're wearing such sexy undergarments. You can't wait for Yoongi to see them.
There's a beeping on the other side of your door and your heart immediately skips. Yoongi is here. Typing in the passcode to your apartment. It's showtime.
“Y/N, why is it so dark in here?” you hear your boyfriend grumble softly, kicking his shoes off at the front door. You whirl around the corner, meeting him at the entrance of the dining room. You take satisfaction in watching his eyes widen, moving up and down your body before settling on your face. “Why are you so dressed up? Did I forget plans or something?”
You giggle nervously. “No, I just felt like getting dolled up.”
You wait with bated breath for him to compliment you. Tell you that you look beautiful, that you look nice, that your hair looks shiny or your skin looks dewy. Something, anything. Instead, he shuffles past you into the dining room, tossing a plastic bag onto the table. You swallow down the hurt. It's not in his nature to be affectionate but you're determined to have him swooning over you by the end of the night.
“I was craving some Chinese so I got us a few dishes. What do you want?” he asks, popping open boxes. You frown, watching as he moves away some of the fine China you've set out to spread his takeout containers.
“Yoongi, I told you not to bring anything. I made us dinner,” you say, motioning toward the big bowl of pasta and plate of steaming bread sticks in the center of the table. His eyes move over the carbonara before he looks down at his sweet and sour chicken.
“I just had pasta yesterday. Can you put it in the fridge? I'll take some back to the dorms to eat tomorrow.”
Part 1 – officially crashed and burned. You stare at him for a few hard seconds, mentally wishing that the damn Chinese food would be spoiled so he wouldn't touch it. But from the way he happily plops himself down onto one of the chairs, yanks apart his disposable chopsticks and digs in like it's the best food he's ever had in his life, you give up hope. Fixing yourself a small portion of pasta, you sit across from him, stealing quick glances at his plate. The Chinese does look delicious but what romantic dinner has ever been served with sweet and sour chicken?  He might not be eating the food you cooked, but you can still enjoy the romantic atmosphere together.
Almost as soon as you sit down, Yoongi hops up off of his seat, jogging over to the switch panel and flipping them all on. The sudden brightness hits you like a punch to the gut and you wince, dropping your fork. You've suddenly lost your appetite. Yoongi sighs in satisfaction as he sits back down and without a word, dives back into his food.
Okay. That's okay. It was just a few candles. This night is not ruined. You may not have gotten him with the food, but you can hook him in with the romantic movie and cuddles, you're sure of it. After the two of you finish your meal, you move to the living room. You notice Yoongi is frowning as he takes in the layout.
“What's going on with the couches?”
You flash him a grin, nodding toward the floor. “I thought we could stretch out and get comfortable on the floor while we watch a movie.”
He scoffs in disbelief. “I've just finished four hours of practice. My back is killing me and you want to lay on the floor?”
A bubble of annoyance rises up. Why is he fighting you on everything? “I put like four layers of blankets and pillows down, Yoongi. You won't feel the floor, trust me.”
With a disgruntled huff of acceptance, he throws himself down ungracefully. You mentally count to ten. He's either going to get some love or get some ass-kicking tonight and right now, you're not sure which one. After pressing play on the blu-ray machine, you lay down next to Yoongi. You half expect him to throw another wrench in your plan by pushing you away but he's full of surprises, fingers gripping you around the waist and tugging you against him.
You sigh happily. Maybe there's hope for the night after all.
“Oh! I've seen this movie already.”
Okay, maybe not.
You groan loudly, tilting your chin to stare at your boyfriend in disbelief. He frowns at you. “Why are you looking at me like that? My laptop died on the flight home last week so I watched this film to pass the time. It's not that good.”
“Why would you watch a romance movie by yourself?” you ask, restraining yourself from using the vicious tone that waits dormant at the base of your throat.
“I didn't watch it alone. Jin watched it with me.”  Oh my god. Jin was getting more romance out of your boyfriend than you were? Yoongi suddenly emits a gasp, finger pointing at the television screen where he has pulled up the On Demand menu. “Detective Pikachu is already out on digital? I'm renting this one!”
You're wearing a dress and expensive lingerie for … Pokemon? You sit up abruptly, moving your bewildered gaze to your boyfriend. You didn't expect him to initiate the romance, no, but you expected him to be smart enough to catch on that you were. A candlelit dinner with Italian food? A romantic movie and your girlfriend dressed to the nines in her own apartment for no reason? Have you always been dating the largest idiot in the world or is this a new development?
Yoongi glances up at you, meeting your furious stare. His eyes shift down to your choice of clothing and you think maybe – just maybe – for one moment, he's going to use that creative brain of his and put everything together.
“You and Pikachu kind of match right now,” he chuckles, pointing to the red blush on your cheeks and the yellow of your dress. “Y/N, I choose you!”
“Oh my god,” you mouth silently, slumping to the floor next to him. You watch in stupid amazement as he turns up the volume of the television and throws the remote next to him, another satisfied smile on his face. Seeing the bowls of snacks lined up, he grabs a few and sets them down in front of him. Plucking a strawberry from a bowl, you can't help but feel defeated when he tosses the entire thing into his mouth in one go. You had plans for those strawberries. You had daydreams and visions of seductively biting an end off, of slowly and sexily crawling over to him and gently feeding him the rest. It was then that he would toss you over his shoulder, take you to your room and toss you onto the bed. It was then that he would find the lingerie.
Part two of the plan? Obliterated.
Despite actually having a genuine love for Pokemon and a desire to see Detective Pikachu, you begin to get restless about forty minutes into the film. Yoongi is engrossed, eyes glued to the screen as he blindly reaches for the snack bowls and throws handfuls of whatever he can reach into his mouth. Instead of watching the movie, you've been imagining new scenarios that involve getting Yoongi into the bedroom. Okay, the scenarios went a little beyond just getting him into the bedroom. All of your hard thinking has left you anxious, the lingerie suddenly feeling suffocating. This needs to happen. Now.
“Yoongi,” you whine, gripping his upper arm. He hums in response. “Can we finish watching this tomorrow?”
He frowns. “We're more than halfway through. Why would we stop?”
“I want to go to bed.”
His eyebrows lift questioningly. “So go lay down. I'll be in whenever the movie is finished. I don't think there's too much left.”
Wow. He really is dumb. Yoongi has been your first relationship so you weren't sure – does every woman have to work this hard to get some from their man or is it just you? You decide to stop playing around. He's obviously incapable of grasping any of your attempts to be sexy and coy.
“No, Yoongi. I don't want to go to sleep. I want to go to bed. With you.”
That get his attention. His head snaps over in your direction so quickly that worry he might have given himself whiplash. There's a faint dusting of pink tinging his cheeks and you giggle inwardly, relieved that you've managed to crack whatever stone wall he's had up all night. It's not as if the two of you haven't had sex before – oh, definitely not. You've been together for years and have done it many, many times. You have never been so straightforward with him about it, though. Feeling bold by how flustered he is, you reach over him for the remote, wordlessly turning the television off before lifting yourself to your feet. He watches you closely, accepting the hand you offer to help him off of the ground. When you're both standing, you take advantage of your grip on his fingers and lead him to your bedroom.
This is it – the grand finale. There's absolutely no chance of ruining this. Yoongi is a hot-blooded man who has the same cravings and needs as every other living, breathing male in this world.
You push him gently onto your bed. He sits on the edge, resting back on his elbows. He watches you intently. His heavy, hooded gaze is like electricity, filling you with jolts of desire and contentedness. This is what you wanted. This is the feeling, the excitement, that you've been craving.  Leaning down into him, placing your palms next to his elbows, you catch his lips with yours. It starts off chaste, pulling away every few seconds for quick, little pecks. But after a few seconds, the aching between your legs begins to intensify and you decide that you're done with being soft. The kiss deepens, a moan vibrating from Yoongi's chest as you slide your tongue against his. You feel his hands grip your waist, massaging the skin of your hips through the fabric of your dress before his fingers start to dance downward. Pulling away breathlessly, you grin down at him.
Your cardigan goes first, tossing it haphazardly somewhere in the corner of your room. You make of slow show of unbuttoning the straps of your dress, keeping eye contact, doing your best to be the most seductive woman Yoongi has ever met. You know that you weren't his first, or his second or even his third. But you want to be the one who makes him forget about everyone that came before you. Your dress drops to your feet. You feel triumphant when his eyes widen, moving slowly down your body as if he was taking in every single detail. You watch as the corners of his lips turn upward. You close your eyes. This is the part where he completely ravishes you.
He laughs.
He laughs hard.
It's like a balloon pops and you start to deflate, your eyes snapping open in hurt and surprise. Yoongi lays back on the bed, arms wrapped around his stomach as if the sight of you in lingerie is so funny that it causes him pain. You look down at yourself, at the swell of your breasts encased with satin, lace and ribbons. Was it that funny? Did he not find you beautiful enough to pull something like this off?
You watch as Yoongi continues to laugh, absorbed in his own amusement. The sound of his guffaws are like punches to the gut, over and over and over again. Though you've never voiced it out loud, you've always felt a touch of insecurity in your relationship. He was Min Yoongi. He was Suga. He should have supermodels or equally beautiful idol girls standing beside him. Despite that, he always had a way of making you feel pretty, like you had something that no other girl in the world had.
But now? Now you question everything. Would he laugh at a supermodel if she stood here in lingerie? Would he laugh at any of his frustratingly beautiful ex-girlfriends?
Feeling like he has maxed out your hurt tolerance, you shamefully retreat into the bathroom, slamming the door and locking it behind you. Your first order of business was getting out of the frilly contraption, the complete waste of two paychecks. The second was wiping every bit of product from your face. If he didn't think you were beautiful, why should you even try?
Making quick work of the lingerie, you whip it into the corner, wondering what the most effective way to burn it would be. You change into a normal pair of panties and toss on an old, baggy BTS concert tee that you use for pajamas. It isn't until you're washing your face that you realize you're crying.
There's a timid knock on the door. “Y/N? What are you doing?”
You ignore him, the sound of his voice propelling you to scrub your face even harder. When you pull the cloth away and look up into the mirror, you wince at your own reflection. Wet and puffy eyes with skin tinged red from scrubbing it nearly raw. It only makes you feel uglier and you can't help the cry that slips out.
There's another knock on the door, quicker this time. When you still don't answer, he tries the doorknob to no avail. “Y/N, are you crying? Open the door for me.”
You contemplate spending the night in the bathroom. The tub is nice and spacious. There's a pile of clean towels on top of the hamper than you could use for blankets, padding and pillows. You already ate so you won't get hungry. This could work – you could stay here until Yoongi has to leave for his schedules tomorrow morning.
“Are you really not going to open the door?” Yoongi demands, the knocks turning into pounds with his fists. “I'll just kick the door in. You know I can.”
You huff in annoyance. There goes your plans for a sleepover in the bathroom. Others might think Yoongi is bluffing but you know what he's capable of doing and you know he won't mind ruining your door if it inconveniences him too much. You exhale deeply before flipping the lights off and throwing the door open, studiously ignoring your boyfriend who has to jump out of your way as you storm past him. You can feel him following close behind as you hastily retreat to the living room, throwing yourself down in the middle of the blankets. You turn your back to him, tucking the thickest blanket up under your chin. You hear Yoongi sigh from behind you.
“Are you that angry with me? I'm sorry that I laughed,” he apologizes. You continue to ignore him, eyes blurred with tears as they fixate on the fibers of your blanket. He groans in frustration, reaching out to grip your shoulder. As much resistance as you put forth, he still manages to twist you to face him. When he sees your face full of tears, he drops his grip in surprise. “Jagiya, what is this?”
“Jagiya, what is this?” you mock him in disbelief. You can't take it anymore. Seething, you sit up, wiping your eyes before fixing your glare on him. “Your girlfriend is absolutely and understandably fucking devastated because she not only worked SO hard to plan a perfect, romantic night with her boyfriend – which he ruined every fucking chance that he got, I might add – but when she tried to surprise him by attempting to spice things up in the bedroom with really fucking expensive lingerie, he laughs in her face! I wanted to look and feel sexy for you, Yoongi, and you laughed at me. Hard. So yes, I am that angry with you.”
You throw yourself down again, this time pulling the blanket over your head. Yoongi sighs heavily. “Jagiya, talk to me.”
“Go home, Yoongi. I don't want to talk to you anymore tonight.”
Exploding on him released a lot of your anger but now you just feel sad. Every time your head replays the image of him rolling across the bed in laughter at your expanse, your chest throbs and a fresh round of tears build behind your eyes. You feel Yoongi plop down beside you, arm reaching around your shoulders to turn you once again. You throw an elbow to dodge his attempt. “I'm not going home. We're going to talk about this. If you insist on sleeping here tonight, I'm going to sleep right here next to you whether you like it or not.”
“Do whatever you want. I'm not the one who will have a stiff back at dance practice tomorrow.”
“I thought you said you put enough layers of blankets down that I won't feel it?” he jokes. You decide to ignore him. He sighs heavily again. The blankets shift and you feel his head rest against the middle of your back. “I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. And I didn't mean to ruin everything you planned – you should have told me we were going to be romantic tonight.”
You scoff. “I shouldn't have to tell you that we're going to be romantic. Romance isn't something you plan, it's something you feel.”
“Well then, what did you plan for if not romance?”
He's got you there. You knew Yoongi wasn't the most romantic man in the world but you still tried to force it on him. Maybe this is your karma. Maybe this is a wake-up call. If he doesn't feel any kind of romance for you … why are you still together?
“Yoongi,” you croak, blinking away more tears. “I want to ask you a question and I want you to be completely honest with me – do you still love me?”
His head pops up from the floor. Not even a full five seconds pass by before he's forcefully gripping you around your shoulders, pinning you flat against the floor as he hovers above you. His eyes pierce you with the most intense gaze you've ever received from him. “I can't believe you even have to ask me that.”
He seems almost angry. “What am I supposed to think? Okay, maybe I planned for romance, but did you have to brush off every single thing I tried to do with you tonight? It just seems like you're not that interested anymore.”
He groans, moving into a sitting position. His hand rubs down his face, a habit of his that you know usually comes out when he's frustrated. “I'm interested in you. I love you. I brushed off everything you planned because to be honest, that's not us. That's not who you and I are, it's not our relationship.”
You frown. “But that doesn't-”
“You love Chinese take-out, you love Pokemon and you've mentioned many times how ridiculously silly and overpriced you think fancy lingerie is. Do you think romance is defined by a certain meal, genre of movie or undergarments? If you ask me, we would have had a perfectly romantic night without all of your planning.”
He renders you speechless because – holy crap – he's actually right. Okay, maybe the two of you have your lazy moments but when have you ever been unhappy in your relationship with Yoongi? He knows you. He knows what you like. He brought over Chinese and rented Detective Pikachu for you. In a weird, comfortable way … it's your own Yoongi kind of romance.
With a dramatic sigh, you turn towards him, scooting close. With his soft cat-like eyes, he gives you a gentle smile and you nearly swoon on the spot. “You're right. I'm sorry for being so cheesy tonight. I think all of those dramas I've been watching lately have gone to my head.”
He laughs, reaching out to pull you against him. “It wasn't a total waste. I really am going to tear that carbonara up tomorrow.”
You giggle in agreement, resting your head against his chest. Your eyes close in satisfaction of being so close and so relaxed with him after a night of pushing him away with stupid expectations. Although you feel a million times better, there's something that still causes your chest to ache when you think about it. “Yoongi? I know that you laughed at the lingerie because you thought I was joking but … I mean, you laughed really hard. Did I look that ridiculous? I didn't look … good?”
He laughs again and you pull back to punch him. Still chuckling, his large fingers envelope your fist, pushing it down. “Jagiya, stop fishing for compliments.”
“I'm not fishing for compliments,” you argue defiantly. “A girl genuinely tries to be sexy for her boyfriend and he laughs at her? That's enough to make her feel ugly. I just want you to confirm whether or not you think I'm ugly.”
“It's like I said before – that lingerie was not you. It didn't suit you. Of course you looked gorgeous and tempting. However-” he pauses, reaching down under the blanket. You gasp when his hand grips your ass, moving you impossibly closer until even a feather couldn't come between your bodies. “This is what I find sexiest. Just you. No fancy underwear. Well … no underwear at all, really, if you're giving me the choice.”
You slap him playfully, not bothering to fight the stupid grin on your face. He buries his face in your neck. You can feel his smile against your skin.
“We should finish what we started earlier,” he whispers, his lips peppering soft kisses along your collarbone, his fingers dancing along the waistband of your panties. You hum in pleasure, craning your neck to give him better access. An embarrassing moan escapes you when he sucks the skin a bit harder.
“Detective Pikachu? Sure, I'll grab the remote,” you joke, twisting as if you're going to move away. He grunts, pulling on your waist until you're straddling his hips. You lean down, ghosting your lips against his.
“This romantic enough for you?” he asks, his mouth moving softly against yours. You narrow your eyes to glare at him.
“Yoongi, shut up,” you mutter as you throw the blanket over your heads and lean back down to thoroughly ravish him this time. Min Yoongi would be doing a lot of swooning tonight.

Study Session
Alana crossed the Anteros grounds and made her way to the dormitory. As she entered the building and walked the halls, she couldn’t help but think about the last time she had spoken to Alexy. Her anger had boiled over and she told him and Rosalaya that she was cutting them off. They looked so pitiful when she walked away... Even going so far as to send her a barrage of messages in a futile effort to get her attention. But, she had other things to worry about. They had greatly disrespected her and the one she loved most on multiple occasions, so, she was done. Of course, when she told Armin about it, he wasn’t too happy. He begged her to be more forgiving to his brother, but she reminded him of what had happened and told him she couldn’t handle it anymore. After a while, Armin stopped talking about his twin, and focused on the games they played. She hadn’t spoken to Alexy or Rosalaya since then. She told Priya and Castiel not to bring them up around her, she even avoided Leigh... Despite seeing him depressed as she passed him on the street one day...
So, when Morgan invited her over to his dorm for a study session, she was a little caught off guard....
It only took one knock on the door before Morgan opened it. “Hey Alana.” He smiled. “Hey Morgan. Thanks for inviting me.” She greeted as she stepped into the dorm and set her backpack down. “I’m surprised you took me up on my offer...” Morgan admitted as he and Alana took seats at his desk and pulled out their notebooks. “I know it’s a little unorthodox to not cut you off if I’m cutting Alexy out... But, you’re an innocent party in all of this... So, you don’t deserve punishment...” Morgan looked down. “About Alexy... He’s been really upset. First he lost you, then Rosalaya.” Alana looked confused. “What do you mean “then Rosalaya”?”
Morgan began explaining what he knew had happened between Alexy and Rosalaya. The miscarriage, the fight, the separation, and Alexy’s spiral into depression. Alana looked down. “I didn’t know. I saw Leigh a while ago, he looked completely distraught... I’m sorry that that happened... I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy...” Morgan looked at her. “Listen, I don’t know your full reasoning behind cutting them out, but I do know that they need you...” Alana clenched her fists. “But why? Why should I? I come home and make what I’ve become plain as day and they immediately jump on me. They stopped talking to me before I joined the R.D.R. I needed them to talk to while mom was in the hospital and they weren’t there. They abandoned me! Then, when I did come back, they made it very clear that they disregarded the one thing I asked them to do while I was gone! They tossed Nathaniel aside like he was garbage, despite knowing what he had gone through... They were so adamant about getting me with Hyun, even though they knew I only want to be with Nath... And don’t get me started on how they were trying to pour drinks down my throat... I’ve needed help! I’ve needed them to be my friends, and they couldn’t be bothered to do that. So... Tell me Morgan... Why? Why should I help them now?” Morgan thought for a few minutes as he looked down at his notes. “Because you’re a good person.”
Alana looked at him for a while. She didn’t know what to think. She knew they were both right. “Morgan, you say I’m a good person... A lot of people say that. But, I have friends who have been there for me for most of our lives, despite us all being apart. Viktor and Severina have been my best friends since Pre-K. We’ve been through thick and thin. They know what’s going on in my life and I know what’s going on in theirs. Both of them have made a great point to me... That point being that I’ve been trying to save the world for most of my life and that for once, I need to save myself. I’ve been constantly sacrificing myself for the well being of others. I’ve done it for them, Alexy, Rosalaya, Castiel, Nathaniel, Armin, Lysander, my mom, and for innocent people who I didn’t know until I was getting them to safety... Hell, I’m still doing that for Nath... But here’s the difference... The people I keep around know that my help goes both ways. Viktor, Severina, Armin, Lysander, Priya, Chani and Castiel all listen to me. They give me reasons to care about them... And because of that, I want to be there for them. Nathaniel is the love of my life. He has saved me so many times that its difficult to count them... In big ways and in small. Hell, even my high school bully, Amber, has become someone I care about because of how she treats me. All Alexy and Rosalaya have done since I got back is take. They never once lent me their ears. They didn’t give me a chance to talk to them and try to catch up. No... Instead, it was “Let’s party! Let’s get Alexy a boyfriend! Then let’s get you into a relationship! Go Team Hyun! Forget Nathaniel, he’s trash! Get yourself someone better! I’m Pregnant!”... I can’t do it anymore... I’m supposed to be finding a sense of “normalcy”... But, instead, I’m watching over Lyra’s and Nora’s training, I’m helping my boyfriend and his sister with their problems, I’m getting hit with an avalanche of questions from my mom’s fans, I have a fearsome reputation to uphold around the Black Tower, the Prime Minister wants me to go to Parliament and give my input as to how this country should be run, I have several big events to organize, as well as my “peace time job” to focus on. My time here is supposed to be the beginning of an ultimate act of self care... And I’m still getting ripped to shreds. Something had to give, so I cut them.” Morgan looked at her, shocked. “Alana... I’m so sorry. I had no idea...” “ That’s why I’m explaining it to you. I know you weren’t around for all the big stuff. I know you don’t know what I’m dealing with. Hell, very few people outside the Tower do. You think I don’t want to be there for them? I do. They were two of my best friends. It hurt to cut them off like that... Regardless of how easy it looked to the rest of the world... It hurt like a bitch to do it.”
Alana grabbed her water bottle out of her backpack, opened it and took a swig. “For fuck’s sake, I’m twenty three years old. I’m supposed to be going out with friends and having fun. That’s one reason why my apartment is so big and cool because it was built for me to entertain. But, no, instead, I’m doing my damnedest to stay away from the Black Tower and am spending most of my time either preparing for life after graduation, doing anything that classifies as a “Fuck You” to Azrael, or sitting around alone...” Morgan looked puzzled. “But what about that party in Yeleen’s dorm?” Alana put her water bottle back in her backpack. “I had barely just gotten back and it was one of Rosalaya’s wild schemes. It sounded like a great change of pace for me. The party itself was rather fun... I just had much more of a one track mind then than I do now...” Morgan raised an eyebrow. “From what I can tell, you’ve never had a one track mind. Even when we first met, I could tell that you try to be everywhere at once. You tried to help everyone around you be happy. That’s one reason why I like you. You do your best to be kind. Which is why it shocked me to see you cut Alexy and Rosalaya off like that.” Alana looked down and sighed. “After everything I’ve gone through... Everything I’m going through... Something had to give. I mean, for heaven’s sake, Alexy’s become a “Fair Weather Friend”. He’s either focused on himself, or focused on you. He only came to me whenever he needed or wanted something. No “fun shopping trips”, no “casual times at the cafe”, no walks in the park just chatting about random things... The last time he and I talked, he wouldn’t let me get a word in edgewise!” Morgan looked annoyed for a second. “You’ve been spending a lot of time with Nathaniel lately. Do you spend much time with your other friends? Other than the ones you have inside the Tower? Because, if you don’t, that makes you one hell of a hypocrite.” Alana raised an eyebrow. “I play Overwatch with Armin at least once a week. The reason why I’m not spending much time with Castiel right now is because he keeps hitting on me. I’ve been TRYING to hang out with Priya more, but she’s had a lot of group projects lately. I hang out with Chani outside of class at least once a week... Hell, just recently, we marathoned Good Omens. I try to write to Lysander at least once a week, if not once a month... I even try to see Amber at least once a week, but as she’s an upcoming model, her schedules are more erratic than mine. As for Viktor and Severina? We text and video chat all the time. They’re the CEO and CFO of a multinational, multi-billion gold, tech company, so I can’t see them in person all the time, but we have plans to hang out when Detective Pikachu comes out and we’re talking about going on a trip after I graduate. Oh, and about my friends inside the Tower, I make damn sure to spend time with them that isn’t training. Is that enough proof for you?”
Morgan looked down at his notes and sighed. Alana closed her notebook and put it in her bag. “So, for Alexy and Rosalaya to get back in your good graces, they need to make an effort to have you in their lives? Despite the fact that they’re both severely depressed and don’t have many people to turn to? If they abandoned you when you needed them, wouldn’t you be more inclined to help them now?” Alana’s eyes flashed with annoyance. “You know what Nathaniel and Castiel do when they can’t reach me? They go to the Black Tower and make damn sure I know they’re there. And if I’m not there, they fucking find me. You know what Alexy and Rosalaya have done to try to get my attention? They’ve attempted to text me. I’ve passed Alexy several times on campus, and he has NEVER tried to walk up to me! NEVER! If they really needed and wanted me back in their lives, they would storm the place like everyone else does!” Alana stood up. “Even when I was at my lowest, I still tried to reach out. I called people, I video chatted, I wrote letters, I did SOMETHING. Now, if they make it to where I can’t ignore them, then I will be forced to face them. But, I’m tired of being the only one to truly make any moves.”
Alana grabbed her bag and began walking towards the door. “Alana, wait.” Morgan called. Alana shook her head. “I think I’m done studying for the day. It’s a blow off class for me as it is. Again, thanks for inviting me over. Have a good day.” She sighed as she left the dorm.
As she left the dorm rooms, her mind ran over what had just happened. The significant other of one of her ex best friends invited her over to their dorm to study for a class that everyone knew she didn’t need to study for. He then told her that Rosalaya had had a miscarriage, which is why she was trying to talk to her and why Leigh were so depressed and the Clothes Shop had been closed. Alexy innocently brought up adoption to Rosalaya, which caused her to lash out, which resulted in an argument so bad that they cut each other off. “I’m sure he was trying to be helpful, but from what Morgan said, Alexy did it the day she lost the baby. Which was a really stupid move.” She muttered as she entered the Quad. She then thought about what Morgan had just tried to do. He had tried to convince her to talk to Alexy, despite knowing that she had cut him off. She knew that he was probably thinking about how much of a selfish wretch she was at that very moment, and she was wondering if he’d be right. Alana reached into her pocket, pulled out her earbuds, put them in her ears, flipped through the music on her phone, picked a good song and began walking off campus.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Honestly, this was overdue. I’ve needed to address the fact that Alana doesn’t talk to or see Alexy and Rosalaya for a while. I know this one is mostly dialogue, but it was necessary for Alana’s Canon. Yes, this presents an entryway for Alexy to get back into Alana’s life. There will be a sequel to this. I just have to write it.

"Yeon. Can you leave and go hang out somewhere else?" Minho asked his step-sister while standing in front of the TV blocking her view.
She swerved her head to look around him while speaking and not paying her step-brother any attention.
"No. I was here first. You're blocking my view of Xiao Nai and Bei Weiwei who are about to actually meet in real life."
Minho stepped into her line of sight and blocked her view once again.
"Can't you be like Seul and watch it in your room or something?"
"No. Why can't you go into your room and do whatever it is that you wanna do in there?"
Yeon paused the film and finally glanced up at Minho awaiting his response.
"I can't. I have friends over and it'll be too cramped." Minho answered.
"That's not my fault." Yeon replied indifferently while hugging her large stuffed rabbit that she was partially lying upon and continued to watch her movie. "Besides, the parents told us that we weren't supposed to have anyone over."
"Yeah, they're not here and I can do whatever I want." Minho remarked just as he tugged her plush doll out from under her and began to softly hit her with it. "Move so that I can have the living room, Yeon."
"Ugh, fuckin' Minho. No and stop it. You're so annoying."
She blocked the attacks while standing up to get even with him. Minho slightly feared for his life as he knew that Yeon doesn't hold back even if the other person was the opposite gender, but continued to attack his sister until the two tumbled to the ground and Yeon was now the one softly hitting her brother with the stuffed toy.
"You little shit. I took care of your cats for free and this is the appreciation I get?"
Yeon gave her brother one final little hit before standing up while huffing and letting the rabbit drop on top of him.
"Little asshole. Next time ask someone else to take care of them and I hope they charge you a lot."
Once Yeon had gotten all of that out of her system and looked in a random direction to not stare at Minho's body, her eyes met with a familiar face among the seven other people standing there. Yeon quickly averted her gaze out of embarrassment because she didn't know that he was friends with her brother.
"Fuck my life." She mumbled to herself before glaring down at Minho who had turned on his side while petting the stuffed rabbit to cast her a slight smirk.
"Why didn't you say that they were already here, you jerk."
Yeon lightly kicked Minho's thigh as he just laughed at her not responding back.
"I'ma eat all of your strawberry ice cream and tell Dad that it was you who broke his bookshelf and not Doongie."
"Ah, wait, Yeon. Please don't eat my ic-" Minho called out, but Yeon rushed off not letting him finish his sentence.
"Um, you good?" Seul asked her sister upon Yeon entering her bedroom without a knock.
"Minho's friends are here." Yeon informed her, but not answering her sister's question.
"He knows that Dad told us not to have anyone over, right?"
"He does, but he doesn't care."
"Well, that's Minho for you. Lucky for him since the parents will be gone for the week. Anyways, is that why you're in here now? Because you think his friends are cute." Seul teased as Yeon rolled her eyes and sat on Seul's desk chair as the younger female was occupying her own bed.
"Not even." Yeon denied. "I just embarrassed myself a while ago."
Seul laughed.
"What did you do?"
"I beat up Minho with Maki while his friends were quietly watching it all go down."
Seul laughed louder. Yeon wasn't amused and rolled her eyes until her sister's laughing died down.
"It's not that funny."
"That's pretty funny because that's so you."
"Shut up, but the dumb part is that I know one of them."
"Oh?" Seul let out in surprised. "Who? Do I know him?"
"Bang Chan."
Seul perked up upon hearing the name with a teasing look.
"Ohh, the one with that Australian accent, right?"
"Yes." Yeon confirmed while narrowing her eyes cautiously upon noticing her sister's expression. "What about it?"
"I have a classmate that has an Australian accent, too. I wonder if they're related."
"Oh okay. Same accent must mean they're related."
"You never know since I hardly come across other people with another accent." Seul stated before returning back to the previous top. "This is the same Bang Chan that made you a playlist when y'all first met so that you can listen to something while studying and even to sleep better, right?" Seul cooed playfully afterwards while Yeon rolled her eyes soon afterwards with a bored look.
"Yes, but that doesn't mean anything."
"Yeah, sure. It's been like what? Four years that y'all met?"
"Yes and I wasn't aware he Chan knew Minho. Then again, I never met any of Minho's friends. Also Chan and I only hung out at school, but it's weird because Minho attends the same one. Even you go there."
"Yeah, but I don't hang out with you at school either."
"True."
"Anyways, Yeon," Seul dismissed the current topic an went back to the previous one, "You can't hide in here forever. I have to run errands in a bit."
"What errands?"
"I need to get supplies for an assignment for one of my classes. It's due by the end of this week."
"Wow. Always last minute with you."
"Yeah, of course. You know how I roll. Anyways, do you wanna come with me then?"
"No." Yeon quickly declined with a disgusted look. "I hate shopping with you."
"Oh, c'mon. I hate going to places by myself."
"You're seriously just picking up stuff. It's different."
"Yeah, but I'll probably need help carrying the stuff."
"Nah. That's your fault. Should buy yourself one of those wagon things."
"You were supposed to get that for me for Christmas."
"Oh, right. I'll get it for you later."
"Mmhmm. I've been waiting for like two years now."
"You'll get it when you get it. Why not ask Minho's friends to help you out?"
"No. That's weird. I don't know them. Anyways, you wanna come or not?"
When Yeon and Seul were ready to leave the duo had walked out into the living room towards the door. Since Seul had walked out first, she happened to noticed one of Minho's friends who also spotted her before a goofy expression appeared on his face. The said male quickly rose from his spot on the floor before quickly making his way towards Seul. The rest of the boys curiously watched their friend stand up and headed towards the female duo. Seul with a small smirk pulled Yeon in front of her which resulted in the male to envelop the older sister instead within his embrace as his eyes had closed upon contact.
"Seul! I've missed you." He cooed with affection as Yeon silently freaked out and tried to squirm out of his hold upon the unexpected skinship from the random male.
"Sorry, but you got the wrong person." Yeon told him a second later causing the male to open his eyes and stared wide-eyed at Yeon apologetically.
"I'm so sorry."
Hyunjin instantly released Yeon causing her to stumble away from him before catching her balance and steadying herself a moment later. Hyunjin then faced the right person and pouted at her with sad eyes.
"That was not funny, Seul."
"Don't be such a baby." Seul said with a laugh. "You'll live, Hyunjin."
"You guys know each other?" Minho asked directing the question at his friend and little sister causing the two to turned their attention towards Minho.
"I'm her boyfriend." Hyunjin answered proudly with a large smile while Seul replied with a small smile and nonchalant tone. "He's a classmate."
Hyunjin's jaw dropped in disbelief as he faced his girlfriend.
"Did you just say I was your classmate and not your boyfriend?"
"Yeah. Technically, you are also my classmate." Seul stated indifferently before gesturing at a few of Minho's friends. "So is Felix, Seungmin, Jisung, and Jeongin."
"Hi, Seul!" The four greeted her happily while coming over to the female to give her hugs like they usually would do upon greeting each other.
"Hey, hey, that's my girlfriend. No touchy. Back away." Hyunjin huffed as he pushed his friends away with a playful smack once they got done hugging Seul and had move back to settling themselves in the living room again. "When did y'all become friends without me knowing?"
"Honestly, I didn't even know that y'all were friends. It's kinda weird now that I see all of you gathered in my home."
"You're telling me." Minho commented with a disgusted look.
Yeon shot Minho a look.
"Well, we wouldn't have to if you just didn't invite anyone over."
"Well, technically, I didn't, but now that I think about it you need friends, anyways."
"Wow, what a jerk. I have friends and it's weird if I become friends with your friends, too."
"My friends are a whole lot better than yours."
"You keep it up, Minho, I'ma tell Mom that it was you who made all the photo frames cracked and that it wasn't Soonie and Dori."
"Fine, Yeon, but I thought I could deal with one of them knowing my sister, but now five more of them knowing the other sister. Bleh. It's too much."
"You'll live. You have nine lives, anyways."
Seul brushed him off with a chuckle.
"Psh, I wish. Since when were you dating my friend, Seul?"
"I didn't know he was your friend. Actually, I've never met any of your friends until now."
"Yeah. I didn't know that this Seul was the sister you were talking about, Minho, that was the same Seul who was my girlfriend." Hyunjin commented as he clung onto Seul with a happy expression.
"Anyways," Seul interjected while letting her boyfriend hold her for a bit before directing her attention onto her brother, "Yeon and I are gonna go shopping right now and so we'll be back later."
"Oh, then buy me food." Minho tells them nonchalantly.
"Buy your own food." Yeon retorts with a narrow look at her brother. "Seul needs to buy school supplies and that's why I'm accompanying her since she hates going to places by herself."
"Oh. Is it for Mr. Heo's class?" Felix pipes from his spot. "I'll come, too, since I gotta buy stuff for his class, too."
"Go buy yourself." Hyunjin rejected the idea. "I'll go with Seul instead."
"Okay, cool. Go to the store with your boyfriend, Seul." Yeon stated with a smile. "I don't need to go now."
"Then you buy the food, Yeon." Minho repeated with a smirk. "You're the oldest and Dad left his card with you."
Yeon walked towards Minho while pulling out her father's credit card from one of her pockets and handed it to Minho.
"Just call delivery. I'll be busy."
"Doing what?"
"Watching Detective Pikachu."
"By yourself?" Minho asked with a judging expression.
Yeon cast him a 'duh' face.
"Yeah, obviously."
"Ohh, let's all go watch a movie together!" Jeongin exclaimed with a bright smile.
"I agree with Jeongin. Let's go watch a movie together." Jisung agreed with excited eyes. "We can finally watch Endgame."
"Hold up, Jisung,"  Seungmin interjected himself into the conversation, "I thought we were supposed to play games and hangout here?"
"We can do that another time, Woojin." A third person spoke wearing all black. "Let's all go watch Endgame since we're all free right now."
"Changbin's right." Felix said with a nod. "We can play games after watching Endgame."
"Ohh, yeah, I agree to what Felix says." Hyunjin inputted right after. "Let's do that instead."
"I'm going shopping, not to the movies." Seul stated giving her boyfriend a slightly annoyed look. "You can do that with your friends without me."
"We can go supplies shopping after the movies" He reasoned with a gentle smile.
Seul shrugged not minding it either way now that she thought about it.
"Sure, I guess."
"I'm pretty sure that Yeon said she wanted to watch Detective Pikachu and not Endgame." Chan reasoned giving them a curious look. "I don't think she wants to watch what we want to watch."
Everyone turned to face Yeon who at that moment had just turned to look over her shoulder to make sure that no one had noticed that she was trying to leave the place. She let out an embarrassed laugh upon being caught while catching the eye of Chan who shot her an amused smile who's been quiet this whole time.
"What?" She asked feeling like she had missed out on something.
"So what do you say, Yeon?" Chan asked her all of a sudden.
"Say to what?" She questioned now all confused upon not paying attention to their conversation earlier.
Chan smiled as he repeated the two options.
"I know that you want to see Detective Pikachu, but the other boys minus your brother wants to watch Endgame. So which one do you say to?"
"Hello. How may I help you?" The staff asked Yeon upon going up to the window at the cinemas although she glanced to her right upon seeing Chan standing there right beside her as well.
She ignored him and paid her attention onto the worker.
"Uh yeah, hi. Can I have eight tickets for Avengers: Endgame and two tickets for Detective Pikachu, please?"
The staff clarified the information before confirming the correct amount of tickets for said movies. Yeon handed her card towards the staff, but she also saw that Chan had also offered his as well. The staff looked between the two wondering which one to take. Yeon reached out her other hand to gently push Chan's arm away.
"This one, please." Yeon moved her card forward, but Chan did the same thing after getting his arm pushed away.
"Actually, this one instead please."
"Just choose whichever one." Yeon said in hopes that the staff would take her card in the end.
The staff didn't as Chan's card was taken instead to pay for the tickets. She shot him a look.
"Why did you do that?"
"My treat." He answered with a smile while taking back his card once the transaction went through.
Before Yeon could countered his reply, the staff spoke again.
"Here you go. Please enjoy the movie."
"Thank you and will do." Chan thanked the worker while taking the tickets.
He walked back to the group of nine as Yeon followed behind a bit reluctantly.
"So Yeon's watching Detective Pikachu and I'm assuming the other person watching it with her is you, Seul, right?"
Chan asked upon handing one of the two tickets for Detective Pikachu to Seul.
"Yup, that's me." Seul confirmed as she took the ticket from Chan. "Thank you."
"You're not gonna watch Endgame with me?" Hyunjin said to Seul with a pout.
"Nope," Seul shook her head with a smile, "But have fun with just the nine of you."
"Okay, but next time let's just come back when it's just the two of us."
"Sure, Hyunjin."
"Alright, lovebirds. Continue this another time when we're not here." Seungmin interjected a bit disgusted by his friend's lovey-dovey behavior with his girlfriend.
"I think it's cute to see Hyunjin like this." Chan commented with a dad-like smile.
"Okay, snacks time!" Changbin exclaimed happily as he rushed to the concession stand first with everyone else in tow.
Yeon told the group to order whatever they wanted and that she'll pay at the end when it was her turn. She even informed the other people behind them that they were a large group and to go to the other registers when they were free. After doing so, Yeon stood off to the side to hear everyone's order while memorizing all the items so that nothing was forgotten and everything ordered was there and be properly paid for.
Once everything was confirmed with everyone else getting a drink of their own while also sharing several of the snacks among them, Yeon finally stepped up to the cashier and put in her own order. It wasn't until a moment later when she realized that it was already paid for when a card and receipt was handed towards her as she hadn't had the chance to give her own card as payment. She stared at the items with a puzzled look before seeing a hand reach out to pluck them from the worker. Yeon looked over to see Chan smiling at her like earlier.
"When did you give them your card?" Yeon whispered to him while standing off to the side to await her drink and popcorn.
"Way before you went up just now and right after Jeongin." Chan replied with another smile.
"Chan, that was like six people ago." Yeon deadpanned with a frown.
"Cheer up, Yeon. It's fine. Remember, I told you it was my treat."
"But you already paid for the tickets, Chan. I don't get why you're treating in the first place."
"It's fine. C'mon, let's go catch up with the others."
Chan took her things with another smile while motioning his head to their large group who were waiting for them. Once again, Yeon reluctantly trailed after him with a sigh while becoming antsy with him already paying twice for their large group. Chan handed Yeon her items when she finally caught up to them.
"Okay. Since Detective Pikachu ends earlier than Endgame, we'll text you once it's over and meet up somewhere." Minho informed his sisters. "Sounds good?"
"Yeah." The sister's agreed with a nod and thumbs up.
"Okay. See ya later. Enjoy your movie!”
The two groups bid one another goodbye while parting different ways.
"Aww, Pikachu is so cute with his little hat and what not." Seul commented once she and Yeon left the show room. "That was a cute movie."
"I know right. He was seriously adorable." Yeon agreed with a chuckle. "I kinda expected what was gonna happen earlier in the movie because I read the synopsis of the game it was based on, but it was still unexpected at the end. So still good for a live adaptation of it. They did good."
"Yeah, they sure did. By the way, do you know what that one Pokemon was near the end. The pink one?"
"The pink one? Oh the big pink and fluffy one, right?"
"Yeah."
"Ahh, no, but I'll look it up later for you.'
"Okay, because I don't remember seeing that one and it was kinda cute. Reminded me of Jiggly Puff or that one that hangs out with Nurse Joy."
"It was cute and fluffy, but doesn't look like a Chansey or Blissey."
The duo stopped walking and stayed off to the side while looking about the mall. The pair wondered what they should do while waiting for the boys.
"So, what do you wanna do next?" Yeon asked her sister.
Seul shrugged before answering. "I dunno. Wanna get ice cream?"
"So, does Chan like you?" Seul asked Yeon once the duo settled at a table after ordering their ice cream.
Yeon almost choked on her ice cream, but recovered shortly afterwards.
"Why do you say that?"
"Because he paid for our tickets and food."
"What does that have to do with him liking me?"
"Because you didn't pay even though you wanted to."
"You saw?"
"Mmhmm."
Seul then cast her sister a mischievous smile.
"I think he really likes you. I just feel it in my jellies."
Yeon rolled her eyes at the mention of the phrase, but a small smile graced her lips upon hearing it.
"Oh, I'll take that as a sign that you like him."
"What sign?"
"You just smiled."
"I was smiling about the jellies part."
"Yeah, sure. Anyways, do you like him?"
"And if I do?"
"Nothing." Seul said with a shrug. "It just make sense."
Yeon rolled her eyes and directed the conversation elsewhere.
"So, your little boyfriend is a friend of Minho’s. How do you feel about that?"
"It is what it is, but it is a little weird."
"I don't blame you. Anyways, let's go buy you your school supplies so that we can leave once the boys are done with their movie."
"Okay."
Yeon and Seul had just stepped out of the store they were in to be bombarded by a worrying Minho and Hyunjin coming up to them upon having spotted the female pair. Well, Hyunjin worrying more about Seul than Yeon.
"Yah! I've been calling and messaging you like crazy. Why didn't you check your phone?" Hyunjin asked with an exasperated tone directed at Seul.
"Oh, my bad. It was in my bag. I forgot to take it off silent mode." Seul answered with a neutral tone not feeling bad whatsoever.
"At least you could've text us where you guys were gonna be." Minho reasoned as Yeon replied him with a weird look. "You could've tracked Seul's location since you both have iPhones."
"I did when I remembered that."
"Okay, there you go. We're fine."
Yeon then reached into her back pocket, pulled out her father's card, and offered it to Minho. Minho took it with a puzzled look.
"Why are you giving me this?"
"Use it or whatever. I'm going home."
"Why?"
"I'm tired."
"Oh, then feed my cats when you get home."
"Feed your own cats."
"I'm not going home, but you are."
"Only because I was originally only suppose to come help Seul with her school stuff." Yeon reasoned with an annoyed tone. "Also because I don't wanna do anything else now that I finally got the chance to watch Detective Pikachu. Basically, my day out is over now."
"I'll be nice, please."
"Fine. Just because I'm nice and a good sister."
"Thank you, Yeon." Minho thanked her sincerely and she dismissed him indifferently.
"Yeah, yeah. You're welcome."
"Oh, since you're going back home then, Yeon, can you take these back for me?" Seul asked while handing her sister all of her shopping bags.
"Why?"
"Hyunjin wants to go on a date now."
Yeon cast Hyunjin an amused look.
"Really?"
Hyunjin nodded with a shy look.
"If you don't mind?"
"Why would I? Go on your little date then."
Yeon took Seul's stuff within her grasps as Hyunjin happily dragged Seul away somewhere, but not before thanking Yeon.
"Thank you so much, Yeon! I owe you one!"
Yeon just wave them off not really caring if Hyunjin did owe her one or not. The rest of the group watched the pair until their figures disappeared from sight.
"He's so in love and it's disgusting." Jeongin commented with a slight shiver.
Felix placed an arm around Jeongin with a nod.
"That it is, but I feel sorry for Seul though since she has to deal with him majority of the time now."
"True, but at least we now don't have to deal with his affectionate ass." Jisung agreed with a relieved grin.
"Anyways," Yeon interjected as all the males' attention turned towards her, "Y'all have fun and make sure that Minho doesn't lose the card or his ass won't be able to care for his cats ever again. Okay, later!"
Yeon cast them one last smile with a small wave before swiftly turning around and walking away from the group of eight with a slight bounce to her steps. Yeon was casually humming to herself until she felt and heard another presence behind her. She rolled her eyes, but didn't turn back already knowing who it was.
"Y'know, you're just making it even more obvious, Bang Chan."
She heard Chan chuckled from behind her before he matched her pace and was now walking alongside her.
"Making what obvious?" Chan asked curiously while glancing over at her every now and then.
"How much you wanna bother me now that we're outside school."
"Is that so?"
"Mmhmm. First you paid for the tickets and then you paid for the snacks." She reminded him.
"I don't see how that's relevant though."
"It just is. Anyways, don't forget I remember how much you wanted to hangout outside of school, but couldn't."
"Because you always came up with an excuse on why we couldn't."
"Those weren't excuses." She shot him a slight glare before facing forward again. "They were legitimate reasons."
"Oh yeah, I'm sure they were." He agreed with a sarcastic and playful tone.
"They were." Yeon persisted casting him a look, but turning away shortly afterwards while mumbling to herself. "Jerk."
Chan laughed having caught the word, but didn't say anything as the pair excited the mall and were on their way to the metro station.
"So how was Detective Pikachu?" Chan asked Yeon a moment later.
"Good. It was a good movie. He reminded me of you." Yeon casually voiced out without thinking much of it.
Chan let out a disbelief laugh.
"Really? How?"
"Y'all are both cute one minute and then weird the next. Also, you're both clingy in a certain type of way that isn't openly obvious."
"So what you're saying is that you think I'm cute, weird, and clingy?"
"Basically."
"Wow, Yeon. I didn't know you saw me like that."
"There's a lot of things you don't know about me."
"I do know that you really enjoy the playlist I made for you on Spotify."
"Because you have good taste in music and it's versatile."
"Oh, thank you, Yeon." Chan thanked her as he wasn't expecting her to compliment him like that since he just wanted to tease her for fun.
"You're welcome. Thanks for making me one. It has helped a lot."
Chan suddenly turned shy, but still thanked Yeon while trying to brush if off.
"Ahh, thanks, but it's not a big deal. Glad that it helped out."
"Mmhmm."
The two grew quiet as they went about the metro station to find the right line to get them home and stepping into the right subway compartment. The two sat side by side one another before Yeon shot Chan a slightly annoyed look.
"So are you gonna accompany all the way home before you head back to the others?"
"Hmm, nope."
"Oh, then what are you gonna do after?"
"Chill with you until the others get back. Maybe we can watch a movie and relax."
"Oh?" Yeon let out with a suggestive tone until Chan slightly panicked with a chuckle and tried to explain himself.
"Ah, no, Yeon. I didn't mean it like that."
"Then how was it supposed to be meant, Chan?"
"Just chill and probably listen to music or watch a movie or whatever you feel like doing since it's your place. We can play games, too. Just those type of things."
Yeon laughed at Chan's flustered appearance as he explained himself before her laughter died down and she tiredly replied back to him.
"Anyways, Chan, I really don't wanna do anything with you or the others when they get back. I'm going to sleep when I get home."
"Aww, it's not even six yet and you're already retiring for the day?"
"Shut up, Bang Chan. I can do whatever I want. You're not my mom."
Yeon jerked her head away from him to lean it against the window like a child. Chan chuckled at her behavior before pulling his earbuds from his pockets and placing one airpod into his ear and the other in Yeon's ear. She jerked away from the item and looked at Chan weirdly before noticing what it was.
"Ahh, sorry, Chan, but I can't wear those. They don't fit in my ears properly." Yeon explained to him with an apologetic look. "They always pop out for some reason."
"Is that an excuse or an actual reason, Yeon?" Chan asked with an amused tone.
"It's a real reason." Yeon pouted without realizing it. "That's why I don't wear earbuds or something similar, but headphones instead."
"I don't think I believe you."
"I don't care if you do or not."
"C'mon, Yeon. It's a long ride and there's a new song I want you to listen to."
"Can't you just add it to the playlist?"
"Yes, but music always helps every situation and needs to be share constantly."
Chan still held out the other piece for her to take and Yeon let out a sigh before taking it in her left hand after moving the other bags to her right one.
"Fine, whatever you say, Chan."
Chan smiled giddily as he scrolled through his phone to find a song while Yeon placed the airpod into her ear, but kept her hand by her ear to hold the small item in place. She didn't want it to fall out along the ride and lose something that wasn't hers. The music softly started to fill into her left ear as Yeon's attention was drawn to the view passing by outside. She wanted to avoid looking at Chan since she felt like her face would reveal her shy demeanor upon being in their current position.
Chan fiddle with his phone some more before contently putting it away and glanced at Yeon a second later. He realized that she wasn't making up an excuse and was actually holding the airpod against her ear with her hand. As Yeon watched the view outside, Chan also glanced out the window to gaze at the now darkening view, but his eyes lingered every so often to admire Yeon beside him with a soft smile gracing his lips.
"Stop looking at me like that." Yeon mumbled only for Chan to hear upon noticing his gaze on her due to the reflection of the windows.
"Like what?" Chan mused not being phased about having been caught.
"Like you're admiring me or whatever."
Yeon tried to keep her tone neutral, but deep down inside she was becoming fluster by his constant stares and soft smiles. She still couldn't face him properly and only watched his reflection talk to her.
"What if I am?" Chan admitted still with the amused tone to his voice.
"Can we like not do this while riding the metro? It's weird."
"No, Yeon. It's easier because you can't run away."
Yeon swiftly faced him with a confused look.
"Run away from what? And don't tell me about it having to do something with my feelings for you, too, and all that lovey-dovey stuff."
"I didn't have to. You just did."
Yeon was about to deny it, but realized she did and closed her mouth. She decided to say something else to Chan instead before turning her gaze away from him.
"Shut up."
Chan laughed before speaking again when his laughter died down.
"So do you wanna watch a movie just the two of us next time?"
"Like in as a date?" Yeon asked for confirmation while turning her attention on to Chan.
"Yeah, like a date." Chan clarified.
"No."
"Why not?"
"Because then you'll pay again and I won't be able to do so."
"Okay then, how about this. We alternate every time we go out."
"You really just want an excuse to hang out with me don't you?"
"Mmhmm, but it's not really an excuse if we start dating because I don't need an excuse to see my girlfriend."
"Ew."
Yeon elbowed him away as her hands were unable to slap at him. Chan laughed as he nudged her playfully.
"I know that made your heart jumped a little despite how you reacted."
"Shut up, Bang Chan, and just let me suffer in peace."
"Why suffer alone when we can do it together, Yeon?"
"Because I don't think you'll live to see another."
"I'll take my chances."
"Ugh. I wished I never sat next to you on the first day we met."
"Oh why not? I only passed that class because you shared your notes with me."
"You passed just like everyone else in that class because I was the only one who actually took notes for it that made sense for y'all to comprehend and shared it."
"To which I'm totally grateful for, Yeon."
"Whatever. Don't talk to me until we get home."
"Aww, but I thought we were just growing closer to one another just now."
"I can't handle you right now."
"That's just mean, Yeon."
"I'm gonna move to another spot and let you suffer by yourself if you don't stop."
"Okay, okay."
Chan relented with a defeated laugh as Yeon glared at him, but it softened into a playful glare a moment later upon seeing Chan's smiling face.
"Fine, Chan. We can have a movie date this weekend." Yeon said already giving in to the male.
"At a theater or one of our places?"
"Wherever as long as no one else tags along."
"Okay. An actual movie theater where I'll pay it is then."
"I didn't mention about you paying, Chan."
"I know, Yeon." Chan said with a smug look as Yeon just shook her head knowing she wasn't going to win with this whole thing.
"Okay, yeah, sure, fine, whatever, Chan. You win."
Chan laughed upon hearing her response before speaking.
"It was never about winning, Yeon. It was just about you acknowledging me."
Yeon didn't respond with a shake of her head in disbelief of what Chan had just said, but with a slight smirk and on impulse she quickly hooked their arms together before the airpod in her ear could fall out. Placing her left hand against her ear again, Yeon faced the window to stare at the scenery once more with a soft smile upon her lips.
As for Chan, his heart thudded against his chest at Yeon's sudden skinship before glancing at her. He saw how shy she looked after doing so, but didn't say anything. Instead a slow smile crept onto his face as he once again quietly admired her profile and the view of the night sky as it passed on by.

Coming Attractions - May 2019
Tumblr media
Five years ago today, here on the S&C, we presented for the first time a list of the movies what would be hitting your local cinemas that month. That initial list included The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Chef, Godzilla, and X-Men: Days of Future Past. Every month since then over the course of five years we have done the same rundown of movies coming soon and you have been there to read them all along the way. Thank you for that. We thought this was a special day to reflect on in the history of the S&C.
With that said, here are what movies are coming out this month:
May 3rd
Long Shot - Seth Rogen and Charlize Theron star as an odd-couple in this upcoming comedy, him an unemployed journalist and her a candidate for President of the United States. Long Shot premiered to great reviews at South by Southwest in March and I for one can’t wait to see it.
UglyDolls - Quick! Is UglyDolls an original film or one based on existing IP? Do you know the answer? I don’t. (Well I do now, cause I looked it up, but I didn’t know when I asked it.)
The Intruder - Meagan Good and Michael Ealy star in this thriller as a couple who buys a house from Dennis Quaid’s character, and he refuses to let go off his long-term home. The film hails from the same screenwriter as 2009′s Obsessed and 2008′s Lakeview Terrance, so audiences should know what they are getting into with The Intruder.
Extremely Wicked, Shocking Evil and Vile - If you are keeping score at home, it is now Ted Bundy: 1, Oxford Comma: 0. Zac Efron stars as the notorious serial killer in this new film coming to Netflix this month. Reviews of the film have been fairly solid since its premiere at Sundance earlier this year.
May 10th
Pokémon: Detective Pikachu - Though I have never been a fan of Pokémon in the least, Detective Pikachu looks to me like the film I wanted The Happytime Murders to be, a noir-ish fantasy mystery made in the same vein of Who Framed Roger Rabbit. And while I have no interest in the film, I do have an 8-year nephew who does.
The Hustle - Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson take the lead in this comedy film that is a remake of 1988′s Dirty Rotten Scoundrels starring Steve Martin and Michael Caine, which is itself a remake of 1964′s Bedtime Story starring Marlon Brando and David Niven. Still one remake shy of a full A Star is Born.
Poms - In this comedy, Diane Keaton starts a cheerleading squad at her retirement community and her friends played by Jacki Weaver, Pam Grier, and Rhea Perlman, join up!
Tolkien - Nicholas Hoult is J.R.R. Tolkien in this biography of the famous author. Like similar more recent works Finding Neverland, Goodbye Christopher Robin, Becoming Jane, and half of Saving Mr. Banks, audiences will surely seeing Tolkien’s future works come alive in his life experiences through his time as school and World War I.
May 17th
John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum - John Wick is back for installment number 3. The John Wick film series has been a surprising revelation and it is always good to see Keanu Reeves back on the big screen. Prepare for war.
A Dog’s Journey - This is a sequel to 2017′s A Dog’s Purpose. Did you see that one? Oh, you didn’t. Then my job is done.
The Sun is Also A Star - It is a race against time for two young students hoping to fall in love before one of them is forced to leave with her family forever. My prediction? She is an alien.
May 24th
Aladdin - Disney’s 1992 beloved animated classic is back with a live action version directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Will Smith as the Genie. As a kid, I remember seeing Aladdin in theaters five times and it was a personal favorite. Unlike some of the recent and forthcoming Disney remakes, Aladdin doesn’t appear to be a scene-for-scene rehash of the original, which is extremely refreshing.
Brightburn - James Gunn produces this superhero horror film written by his cousins Mark and Brian Gunn. “Superhero horror” might be the best genre name imaginable. Essentially, Brightburn is a twist on the familiar Superman story - what if a child gave from space with amazing abilities and instead of trying to save us all, he tried to kill us all. Count me in!
Booksmart - Olivia Wilde makes her feature film directorial debut with the coming-of-age comedy in Booksmart. In the film, two smart good girls try to make four years worth bad dumb decisions over the course of the night before high school graduation. The film premiered at South by Southwest in March to fantastic reviews.
May 31st
Godzilla: King of the Monsters - On the surface, it is hard to tell how much of King of the Monsters is a sequel to 2014′s Godzilla and how much of it is set-up for 2020′s Godzilla vs. Kong as Legendary Entertainment continues to build their MonsterVerse. As much as I enjoyed Godzilla and 2017′s Kong: Skull Island, nothing about King of the Monsters is really exciting me at this point, which in itself is disappointing.
Rocketman - The music biopic craze continues with Rocketman starring Taron Egerton as Elton John. The film is directed by Dexter Fletcher, who you may or may not know as the guy who came in and finished directing Bohemian Rhapsody after Brian Singer was fired. Rocketman looks to be everything Bohemian Rhapsody wasn’t, including an actor who sings throughout the movie and a historically accurate portrayal of the musician's life and times. Fans of music who were disappointed by Bohemian Rhapsody should be eager to take a ride with Rocketman.
Ma - Octavia Spencer stars a lonely woman who befriends a group of mischievous teenagers only to viciously turn on them in this upcoming thriller from Blumhouse. Watch this one with the lights on.
Now for a quick look ahead to June, my top picks for next month are Dark Phoenix, Men in Black: International, and Toy Story 4.

FROM ONE PIKACHU TO ANOTHER sidenote do they play pokemon in the au do they have fave pokes. also i can't wait for alex and maggie to meet and realize they're soulmates and to be like "ok but i'm still mad about the trex and feathers thing" and then forl ucy to come in like "guys theyve been dead for years"
oh oh dude okay so I hadn’t really thought about it in context of the soulmate au specifically so it hasn’t been mentioned and it probably won’t be but they totally do and on valentines day when Magie is like 6 she doodles a pokeball and some cheesy shit like I choose you to be my soulmate and it’s adorable.
Also that is totally like an ongoing ‘fight’ Alex and Maggie have, like Maggie actually took some paleontology classes for funsies and as an adult she actually thinks it’s really cool the kind of strides we’ve made in science and the hows and whys T-Rexes probably had feathers but then there’s the little kid nostalgia and Alex gets so worked about science facts so Maggie just ‘nope 15 years later and it’s still lame’ and they bicker endlessly about it
And when Lucy is like ‘guys guess what? they’ve been dead for years, technically none of them have feathers anymore.’
Maggie looks up at her with the biggest saddest eyes and Alex pouts because she was going to get Maggie to see reason this time but now look at how sad she is and Lucy is just jfc how did I end up with such nerds for soulmates and she has to go put on Jurassic Park 2 and cuddle with them(Jurassic Park is Maggie’s go to comfort movie but Jurassic Park: The Lost World  is Lucy’s ‘I fucked up by saying the dinosaurs were extinct to end an argument so now we have to watch a T-Rex rampage through San Diego to balance it out).
Sooooo….I got so carried away with various pokemon hcs that I had to put it under a cut….
I have so many poke hc’s for them in general but like I tend hc Maggie as a gamer, little Maggie growing up and she can’t afford to collect the cards but she loves the anime and eventually saves up enough to get a gameboy color. Her first game is red and she plays it so many times she practically wears out the cartridge. She’s the first person (and only for awhile) in blue springs to catch Mew. She eventually collects and plays all the games and she’s a complete expert on all the glitches and secrets.
Alex was more of a casual fan she watched the anime sometimes but Vicky liked playing the games so Alex asked her parents to buy her a gameboy color and trading pokemon on the playground is probably the most social Alex ever was without alcohol.
She did really REALLY get into collecting the cards though and at one point Maggie and Alex visit Eliza in Midvale and Alex’s room is as she left it. Maggie is having fun poking around and teasing Alex for her Xena memorabilia and Dana Scully and BtVS posters(seriously Danvers, Faith is practically eye-fucking the camera in that one across from your bed how did you not know)  when she finds the three thick Pokemon card binders and freezes. Alex notices and grabs them like I totally forgot I had these and she starts flipping through one reminiscing and handing another to Maggie and Maggie almost shits herself because Alex has a first edition base set holo Charizard, she has all the starters, she has all the original 151 cards in various editions from different series and collections , She has holos, she has Japanese cards, she has shining cards. Kara ends up stopping by because I could hear Maggie’s erratic heart rate from National city and ‘holy shit is everyone okay?’
Alex’s attachment to the cards is more nostalgia than anything so she’s like you can have them if you want, Maggie almost has a heart attack. Of course she refuses those cards are worth more than she makes in a month but Alex brings them back to National City and they just kind of end up ‘Maggie’s’ anyway.
Lucy collected the cards too but she actually played the trading card game. Being an army brat could be isolating but pokemon in the 90s was inescapable and it was something to do on any base, in any school she ended up in for awhile. Lucy played to win and for keeps and she ended up with her own pretty decent collection of cards even though hers aren’t nearly in the kind of mint condition Alex’s are in. Maggie still hyperventilates sometimes if she catches sight of the 5 card binders on the bookcase(Alex organized Lucy’s collection from an old shoebox into binders of their own).
For her birthday Lucy and Alex get Maggie an unopened special edition pokemon gameboy color from the yellow bundle. She cries because she had wanted that one more than anything as a kid but couldn’t afford it and they spend the night cuddled up together playing pokemon on their gameboys like the nerds they are.
Maggie and Winn stay up all night outside gamestop for the 20th aanniversary red and blue 3ds bundle.
Maggie’s ultimate fav is Bulbasaur she remembers watching the anime and wishing she had one to protect her from the bullies and eventually she gets older and decides she may never have a Bulbasaur but she can be one for others.
She has a bunch of favorites though including pikachu (she will physically fight anyone who says something about anyone not being a ‘real fan’ because pikachu is too famous or popular a pokemon), Aerodactly, Kabuto(her first body on the beach she sees a horseshoe crab and has to try really hard not to lose her shit because she’s from landlocked nebraska, and she is looking a kabuto and basically it’s an effort to remind herself that she is a newly promoted detective that needs to get her shit together) Tauros, Nidoqueen, Donphan, Tyranitar(basically if it’s vaguely dino-like she has a soft spot but dragons can go either way stemming from her childhood belief they arent as cool as dinos), Mightyena, Groudon, alright I’m going to stop but she develops favorites in each gen.
Alex meanwhile is staunchly first gen and she and Maggie bicker about constantly.
Alex tended to favor water pokemon but not exclusively some of her faves Lapras, Vaporeon, Porygon, Starmie, Dratini, Ninetails, Abra/Alakazam and Onix. She also has a secret soft spot for Togepi as well as Espeon and Umbreon who she thinks of kind of like her and Kara, sun and moon and argues that they still technically count as 1st gen because they’re eevee evolutions.
Lucy is mostly only really familiar with the first gen and some of the second but she doesn’t really care either way and will choose sides based on maximum amusement for the moment. Some of her favs include Squirtle/Blastoise, Arcanine, Pidgeot, Nidoking, Machamp, Lickitung, Gyarados, Flareon.
And well Alex is a BIOengineer and she studies alien physiology and genetic engineering and if anyone was going to ‘accidentally’ create real life pokemon it would be her okay.
(mostly I just really think J'onn needs a Ditto…..)
And I was talking about this with nerdsbianhokie ages ago and they pointed out that Alex has seen Jurassic Park enough times to know to not create large creatures that can kill humans and would probably go with the mini-zoo variety and then they blessed me with the mental image of a tiny little Ditto riding on J'onn’s shoulder.
Vasquez would end up making obligatory pocket size jokes that they don’t even pretend aren’t about Maggie and Lucy. They’d only stop when Alex threatens to withhold the actual mini pocket monsters from them and even then only when They’re within ear shot of Alex.
The spacefam ending up with mini-pokemon protectors. Maggie gets her fucking Bulbasaur and everyone cries.
And then my dude I have not even touched on pokemon go hc’s
Kara blowing an entire paycheck on upgrading her pokemon storage because she can’t bring herself to turn any of her duplicates into candy and she needs to catch every single pokemon she sees. She has like a thousand pidgeys at this point.
Nerdsbianhokie was like but Kara being upset that she flies too fast for the app.
And Alex/Maggie/Lucy? Pokemon go would be terrible and awesome for those competitive nerds. They have zero shame.
Lucy exploits her military contacts, her and Alex abuse DEO resources, Alex makes Kara fly her around the world to get the region locked pokemon.
After Lucy came back from a ‘work trip’ in Asia with a Farfetch’d,  Alex made Kara take the day off and wouldn’t let them go home til she had multiple Farfetch'ds, Kangeshkans, and Mr. Mimes.
Maggie tries to keep up but detecting only gets her so far. She does have a network of ppl who are the type to text the location of a Lapras at 3am.When Kara realizes the edge Lucy and Alex have she starts exclusively helping Maggie.
Alex is completely overdramatic like my own sister, MY OWN SISTER pretending to pretend to make a huge production about loyalty. And Kara’s just like ‘I’m just being fair besides Lucy and Maggie are my sisters too at this point’ and Alex just melts. She also gets Winn to build her a long range Jet pack into the kryptonite suit in an attempt and get back on top of the game but she’s melty while doing it.
Winn Mr.tech genius manages to get himself banned from ‘suping’ up his account and has to start over at level 21. He cries.
As repayment for not commenting upon the melty-ness during the jet pack building Alex takes his phone with her on flights since he had to start over. Of course, being Alex she doesn’t actually say this she just sort of punches his arm in thanks, steals the phone and drops it back into his lap later with a few eggs hatched, some new pokemon and a full items inventory.
Lucy realizes she’s the only one currently unable to fly which oh hell no so she starts scheming.
‘Director Lane, did you requisition military resources for a video game?’  'Of course not, it’s an app.’ (via nerdsbianhokie)
Vasquez is the first to get the original 151….All of them… no one understands, they have no obvious hacks, seemingly haven’t left North America, Ditto is still a spoty rumor at that point and Mewtwo is confirmed as not yet available or even programed and yet… Vasquez has them. When anyone asks They deflect and says you should see my wife’s.
Erin is level 48 way too early in the game. She has a Mew. Everyone is kinda of scared of them after learning about it, the true power couple.
No one ever figures out how they did it.
J’onn just wants his agents to behave like professionals and bans non-related phone use during working hours after seven agents ran away from their posts to catch a Charizard. He’s in the middle of lecturing them when Lucy and Alex stroll in like did you guys see that Charizard?!
(Kara downloaded the app to his phone and J’onn totally caught the Charizard)
James takes pictures of the gang doing absolutely ridiculous things while trying the catch pokemon and it becomes a meme.
There’s a gym (The D.E.O was also accidently made a gym what no Vasquez and Winn had nothing to do with that what are you talking about) accessible from Alex’s apartment and it’s a bloodbath because they’re all on different teams, Maggie-Instinct, Lucy-Valor and Alex-Mystic.
Just yea……uhmmm this all got away from me *shrugs sheepishly*
