Reminder for Friendsgiving: online buds are just as valid as irl ones!

Earlier this year, my bf got a new overnight job and I was self employed. Plus my very few irl friends were stuck with busy careers, thus making time to hang like we used to nearly impossible.

Because of our schedule conflicts I was isolated for awhile and slipped into a deep depression. I even considered harming myself, but I resisted as much as I could.

As a last resort, I tried to join some Discord servers to find some company. Nothing really seemed to click at first and I was losing hope, but one day I was browsing through Twitter and found a link to a Discord server based on my favorite show at the time. I was like “Fuck it. What have I got to lose?” And soon enough, things FINALLY fell into place.

I finally found like minded folks with my dumb sense of humor, I could finally be myself and open up without judgement. And some of them have even been more supportive than my irl friends and family.

I can’t imagine what my life would be like if I never met these goofs. Love you guys! ❤️

So, I kinda impulsively did something, but I don't regret it.

A little bit of a back story: I grew up without a father. My bio dad ran away and became a p*do when my mom was 6 months pregnant with me, so for the longest time she's all I've ever had, all I've ever known.

Lilo and Stitch has always been a huge part of my life and one of my most favorite Disney movies. Ohana, which is the basis of the movie, is Hawaiian for family. And with that, that you create your own, not its bound by blood. Aside from my mom, I've made my own family throughout the years, and some have stayed, some have gone, some have been toxic and traumatizing, but Ohana still means so much to me because of my mother. She could have given me up for adoption, or left me on a porch, or literally anything other than having to work herself to the bone for almost my whole life.

So, I was at a tattoo parlor yesterday, I had money on me, and I did what I've been saying I was gonna do for her since I was 14.

My first tattoo goes out to my mom, my hero, my rock, my everything.
