I had a discussion with them on how that's not how it works, but ge was so upset they took it away from Shadowsight that he hasn't picked the books back up and has stated that 'he hopes Ashfur wins and starts a new religion.,'

That plot thread. The Ashfur Grooming one #But it's in my drafts because I was a bit afraid of controversy #because i think it was written poorly. Even on top of Book 4's pivot to retcon away Shadow's seizures #I know a lot of people like and are invested in the grooming subplot of TBC. But. I think it was executed AWFULLY #and its really telling that THIS is the plot they tout as grooming *by name* in-canon.-- #--and that Shadow has to 'pay' for what he 'did' in some way as if there was ever a choice in the books they wrote-- #--But seemingly didn't even seem to clock that what was happening in Spotted's H was grooming until there was intense backlash #and a big part of my contention is the way that Book 4 suddenly tries to retcon that Shadow was groomed from the time he was a child #when it was actually part of book 1 that Shadow was able to personally tell the difference between a real vision and Ash's suggestions-- #--BECAUSE he didn't have an accompanying seizure #So like... just know it's also NOT just 'you' if you connected to the character that was epileptic. It WAS there. It was a BIG part of him #Book 4 retconned it so that his epilepsy was part of a long scheme when before that point it was part of him #''ohh ur destiny is to see into the shadows'' BULL SHIT!! #bone babble

Huh...it's been a long time since I've played Disney Heroes: Battle Mode! I remember the characters being confused on how they got there. Maybe it's like a Wreck-It-Ralph 2 situation, and TNBC exists as one of many Disney properties, and there just happens to be a digital city that they're moved to currently overrun by viruses, maybe done by Disney itself or its fans....I've no clue!

I haven't played the story in a long, *long* time, so I forget the premises with that. The friendships are pretty strange in that game sometimes, so maybe while they're fighting alongside other people, they just happen to find things they have similar with them? Odd and strange friendships, indeed!

techno. he looks so young. so small. he is capable of so much but not right now because right now he is taking a break and a breath and he doesnt have to be The Blade hes just techno hes just wilburs little brother hes just existing. there is no facade rn theres a softness to him that he cant show usually bc softness is weakness and weakness is dangerous and there is a war to be fought and he is the key component of that war and he cant let it show how much that weighs on him so he relaxes with this self destructing behaviour that he probably knows isnt great for him but its something to do yknow? its something to blame everything on, if he has to. its something to take his mind off it all.

and wilbur. god his expression. hes looking at techno but he isnt smiling. techno seems content but wilbur isnt. hes looking at techno and techno isnt looking at him he doesnt know hes being watched. is wilbur going to school his expression into something else when techno looks back down at him? is he gonna say hes fine? bc he looks almost sad. this is his little brother that has been pulled into this shit he hasnt been here as long as wil has he probably doesnt know just how deep this runs. this is his little brother thats engaging in the same self destructive behaviour that he is except he seems content doing it its working for him he doesnt seem so troubled. wilburs chasing that peace and acceptance that he sees in techno and he sees in the innocence of youth and believing this will all get better (it wont wilbur knows it wont its only gotten worse). hes jealous. and hes sad. and maybe hes just a little bit happy, too, but guiltily so. this is his fault, what technos doing, but at least theyre spending time together and its peaceful and they dont have to think about war (they do, its all anyone can think about). wilbur gets to spend time with his brother but at what cost? hes pulling techno further down for his own selfish purposes and he knows hes not going to be around much longer but he hasnt told techno that because hes so young hes so happy hes his little brother.

I love how Max and Will love El! they see her in I think the realest way. if you were a teenager with a telekinetic bff of course you would be using that stuff for pranks and petty theft and playful stuff. she's just a girl and that's all she's ever wanted to be 😭

plus, all but what, 2 or 3 days? of the time Max has actually been friends with El, and of the quality sibling time Will has spent with El, she's been without her powers anyway. without any world-saving going on, she's just a gentle quiet kid who's very behind on love and social skills and the ways of the world. I love the idea of Max and Will having so much fun showing her things that are utterly commonplace to them, and patiently teaching her stuff they've all known since they were little.
