The skies were clear on Summit Mountain when I awoke early Saturday morning on my recent visit to the Laurel Highlands in Southwestern Pennsylvania. However, there was a thick fog in the valley below the Summit Inn were I was staying. 6/24/22: More from my trip home. This is the centerpiece of Ohiopyle State Park: Ohiopyle Falls. I spent a lot of time on the Youghiogheny River between here and Bruner Run (or Stewarton). It is one of the best intermediate whitewater runs in the central Appalachians.
