Annabeth is so much stronger then me I'm just saying if my mum got pissed and punished me for something my field trip partner did after i was nothing but the perfect child for the last 5 years meanwhile the guy who actually did the thing got nothing but praise from his dad yeah no Luke wouldn't even have time to ask me if I wanted to fight against the gods I'd already be starting my own revolution

There are two types of people who are playing tears of the kingdom those who are really creative taking time to design amazing machines that can destroy any enemy in a single blast reinventing the wheel and extravagant torture devices and making it all look easy
And then there's people who's creativity starts and ends at what if I make a really long bridge

I can not stress enough that the scene where Percy sends Medusas head to the gods is literally what made me fall in love with Percy as a character bc think about it hes just started his first quest, he's in more danger then he's ever been in his whole life, knowing almost every monster and God is currently out to get him personally, and the most important person in his life has been kidnapped by the god of the dead - so what does he do? He chooses to actively makes the situation worse by sending a middle finger right to the gods bc yeah fuck the gods

Love that Jason isn't actually that important or special in the grand scheme of the dc universe Jason Todd doesn't matter hes never really mattered few people actually know him and fewer sincerely care about him when he died 4 people showed up to his funeral he's basically a nobody just some guy who sometimes causes problems in Gotham and I would not have it any other way

You know that thing the English police tried to do a few years ago were they'd have life size cardboard cutouts of police in shop windows to try and deter crime yeah I think the citizens of gotham would do that but with life size cut outs of batman

I know this may be a hard concept for some people to understand, but neither Bruce nor Jason was actually in the wrong during the kill Joker stand off, and I get that this is a difficult concept to grasp bc in comics there usually is a good guy and a bad guy but both Jason and Bruce had understandable and valid reasons for their actions, Jason had suffered so much and spent 3 years of his life building up this confrontation with bruce he wanted an impossible thing from him knowing full well Bruce would never be able to do the one thing he's asking him to do, and it's fair for Bruce to not want to kill its part of who he is at the same time that its understandable why Jason would ask Bruce to kill its also a completely unfair thing to ask knowing full well he'd never be able to do it
It's contradictory and upsetting since we know the situation was always gonna end horribly, and yet it surpased expectations, somehow ending up even worse then predicted

Now I'm thinking about Jim Gordon and how he's meant to act as the copaganda in most batman media but he also pretty shit at it considering he's meant to represent good cops he's the commissioner of the Gotham police yet despite having one of the most senior jobs in the police he still can't fix the corruption that is rampant in the GCPD almost like it doesn't matter if there's a good cop in charge the police will always be shitty

Something I find really funny about the glass onion among us scene is that no one is actually dead yet which means that blanc either just vented in front of everyone or he was that suspicious that everyone caught on immediately

The more I think about it the more I wish dc hadn't retconned it so that Willis was a bad father, Jason's back story is very much centered around how poverty can negatively impact people and force good people to do bad things like obviously you have Jason who was desperate enough to try stealing the wheels off the batmobile but you also have Catherine who genuinely loved Jason despite not being his biological mum but was addicted to drugs and didnt have the money to get the resources she needed to get better so ended up dying, and then theres Willis who was implied to be a good dad who had to turn to crime since that was the only way he could make money to support his family not bc he actually wanted to do crime bc he had no other choice and ended up dying as a result, by retconning Willis into being a shit dad it kinda reinforces negative stereotypes about poor people that they're poor bc they're bad people and they only do crime bc they're bad not to mention Jason's shift from being a genuinely good happy kid into being the violent angry Robin I don't think any of it was intentionally done but still

Jason dying was probably the best thing that could of happened for Tim bc let's face it if Jason hadn't died Tim probably wouldn't of became a hero until he was maybe about 16 - 17 and he would of been just 10 times more annoying like rich boy with no training just showing up getting in everyone's way Bruce would have to apologise to Steph for every negative thing he ever said about her not being trained enough to fight crime in Gotham bc this new kid is actually making her look like a golden child in comparison
