because Tsunade is also one of the most legendary/strongest ninja alive, no one could really stop her or chain her down. It takes the conviction of a child who wants her to save the village and heal his friends to get her back to Konoha, despite the all the trauma she's endured

she's a medic with a fear of blood that overcomes that to fight her own teammate and beat his ass so Orochimaru stops killing and maiming people

she steps up to be a leader because it's what the new generation need and someone has to fix all the stuff broken by her selfish teammates and old teacher

the strongest female character both in physical strength and the strength of her writing. It's like she was written first as a character versus most of the other female characters being written first as Girl and Love Interest

Tsunade is vain and a chronic gambler and drunk, she is really brash and abrasive, she is traumatized. But she's also deeply caring, an incredibly accomplished woman, one of the smartest people/medics in the world, and a great leader

she's multi-layered. She is a woman, but her entire character isn't just Woman

Steve started going to the gym the day after Eddie dumped him.

Technically, the two events were unrelated. Eddie avoided the gym like the plague so it wasn’t like Steve was going out of his way to meet him and they had a 30% membership discount the month of April, so really he was just taking advantage of a good deal.

Honestly, Steve worked out when he was stressed and he really needed that adrenaline hit to stop himself from crawling into the fridge and never coming out again.

He’d gotten up at 6AM, made sure that he looked semi presentable to be out in public and was just settling onto the running machine when the sound of Metallica started blasting from the Pilates room just opposite the regular gym.

After Steve recovered from his almost panic attack thinking that Eddie was actually getting fit, and the confusion at the instructor using fucking Metallica for 6AM Pilates, Steve decided in a bored, sad, slightly horny way, to check out the class.

Well, the instructor definitely wasn’t Eddie.

Eddie didn’t have those muscles.

Eddie didn’t have bleach blonde hair.

Eddie didn’t have a fucking tongue piercing.

Steve quickly decided he was in way over his head and frantically started to back away from the door but it was too late. The guy had already seen him and was gesturing him over.

Fucking shit.

The instructor was called Billy. Which was fun. He’d just moved to Hawkins from Los Angeles (why???????) and he was always up for new students so why didn’t Steve give it a go, he promised the Metallica was just a joke since it never failed to wake everyone up.

Steve was not a Pilates guy. That was all he learned from the hour long session. Well, that and when Billy’s tongue flicked out and did a little corkscrew, he looked like he’d be really good at eating- no Steve. Bad thoughts. No rebound.

Billy clapped a firm hand on Steve’s shoulder on the way out and Steve swore he started developing a semi.

This was not going to work.

He did what he always did when considering bad horny decisions and called Carol. The conversation was short and to the point.

“Babe didn’t Munson dump you literally like yesterday?”

She was popping her gum across the line. It was infuriating. Steve took a deep breath before responding.

“Well yeah but-“

Carol cut him off. She had a habit of doing that.

“Yeah but nothing babe.” Her voice trailed out of his phone like cigarette smoke, dancing across his room. “Either you let me key his dumbass weed van or you give up any dreams you’ve ever had about bouncing on blondie muscleface’s dick. Kay babe?”

Then she hung up.

Steve decided to go to Pilates class every day for the following two weeks. It kind of grew on him. Heather, the assistant instructor was bitchy and fun in a way he liked and her long acrylics reminded him of Carol. He made a mental note to himself to introduce her to Robin.

Things on the Billy side of things had not improved however. They’d gotten significantly worse. He was getting boners in public like a teenager, couldn’t speak in full sentences and his heart started doing that gooey mushy thing, especially when Billy told him he’d done a good job.

It’s a rebound not a crush had become his new mantra. Unfortunately, it wasn’t exactly true.

It was definitely a crush. A big one. Even bigger than the ones he’d had on Jonathan or Nancy or Eddie. And it was a problem.

He didn’t do a Clueless and start wearing revealing athletics wear or anything but he did start flirting just a little. To test out if what he thought had been completely made up in his brain or if something was actually happening.

Billy consistently responded with innuendos so intense, they would make Tommy ask him to cool it.

Ok. So Billy seemed to like him back. All Steve needed to do was ask him to dinner or something. No biggie.

He walked into next Mondays class with a mission which was immediately shattered by Billy wearing a signed Corroded Coffin t shirt. And Corroded Coffin was still small as shit, if Billy had it signed, he was friends with Eddie no doubt.

Running out of the class may not have been the most dignified option but it was the only one his dumbass brain could think of at the time.

He ran all the way back to his apartment onto his bed then cried. After half an hour he decided to check his phone only to be faced with a text from a number Steve must have just thought he’d blocked.

Steve messaged back telling him to go away but five seconds later relented and said sure.

The phone started ringing immediately.

“Hey Steve. Why’d you run out of Billy’s Pilates class?”

Steve wanted to laugh. Or cry. Or both. He decided to keep his tone on the cooler side of polite.

“Did he tell you about that?”

There was a long silence for about five minutes before Eddie answered.

“Look Steve……….I know I wasn’t a gentleman when I dumped you. I shouldn’t have just run from the restaurant. That was a dick move. But I really do like Jason and I know for a fact Billy likes you. And you deserve each other. Really.”

Steve sniffled but didn’t answer

“Friends again?” Eddie’s voice was uncharacteristically quiet.

“Friends.”

Billy looked slightly frantic the next Pilates class. His hair was a mess and he was wearing a hat with a food stain on it somehow. His face visibly relaxed when he saw Steve.

Billy wasn’t a rebound. He was kind and friendly and opened the door to people who were struggling to get out. His hair was a stupid 80s mullet in 2024, his tattoos were atrocious and Steve thought it might be too soon to say it but he was pretty sure he was in love with him.

Dinner was a good start though, Steve thought as Billy laced their fingers together after the class. Dinner was good.

So for AEIWAM, how does the whole Ukitake thing work? I’m still fuzzy on how it was in the manga (and that’s not even touching the ‘epilogue’/Echoing the Jaws of Hell why are these arc names like this) but wasn’t he essentially reverse faith healed-slash-possessed for death? I see you keep mentioning gods so like- what does that whole situation make him?

I need you to imagine a Self-Propogating Cryptocurrency Mining Computer. Whenever it's hardware starts to burn out, it creates a little man to build it a new machine and port it's memory over, keeping the machine alive and solving equations.

In An Elephant Is Warm And Mushy, that's God.

I may need to back up.

If you're not familiar with how Cryptocurrency Mining works, essentially, a computer thinks very, very hard about how to solve an extremely complicated equation, and when it solves it, it gets a little bit of money (or it gets a receipt saying that it has money that uh. nobody will accept, because the money aspect is a scam but the math, at least is real).

Anyway, thinking very, very hard like that runs through the computer's hardware- it's especially hard on the graphics cards. So eventually, if it want to keep solving equations, it needs new hardware. But a computer can't replace it's own parts, and this Ultra-complex, reality-generating God-computer is no different.

So when it starts to get old and degraded, the God-Computer does a neat little trick: it builds itself a programmer. That programmer learns all about the God Machine and how it works and the way it's powered- it moves souls through three planes of existence- each enormously complicated question is representative of the shape of a lifetime- each time a soul completes it's life and is reborn, the God Computer gets a little burst of extra energy. The larger and more complex the soul and longer and richer lifetime, the more energy the God Computer gets. So for the last millions of years, many, many generations of God-computer have made the universe richer and more complicated to generate larger and more complex souls to power themself (themselves?) further.

The programmer learns all about how the God-Computer works, and sets about building the next Generation of God-Computer to keep the universe running.

Due to a slight miscommunication, the programmer is colloquially known as the "Soul King" this time around.

Anyway, the Soul King was doin' his thing, when he happened to start chatting with a cool guy online and agreed to meet up with him. And it was fun! They hung out, Soul King showed him the true nature of reality, they stayed up late eating junk food and talking bullshit, good times. Later, The Soul King's cool friend from the internet said he had some other friends who wanted to meet him, and Soul king thought "BALLER. SLUMBER PARTY!!!" and told everyone to come on over!

-and then the new guys beat the shit out of Soul King's buddy and dismembered the Soul King for parts to sell as part of an organ-harvesting scheme!

Whoops.

Now, Soul King's buddy DID manage to get up and stop one of the organ thieves, the guy absconding with his hands, and tackled him off the Balcony. One of the psuedo-god hands (the one with the power of stagnation) fell into the Spirit World,took the name "Mimihagi" and became a minor kami because he's really bad at this Witness Protection thing.

Eventually, some parents with an extremely sick kid came to the hand's shrine and asked him to save the kid, and Mimihagi went "Well, I can't cure him, but I can hang out in his body for the next few centuries and prevent his disease from getting worse with constant effort?" and they said "...Please?" and Mimihagi said "Yeah OK.

-And ever since then Ukitake has had the left hand of The God Machine's dead repairman living in him and (mostly) stopping his super-tuberculosis from getting worse, like a benevolent tapeworm!

Trafalgar Law x Pregnant!Reader: Christmas Time (One Shot)

Warning: body image issues, fear of cheating, miscarriage, and being left behind.

Background: You and Law have been married for a while. Now your life is going to be bigger with the arrival of a child soon. You are 7 months pregnant and it is Christmas day. Law is spending time with you but as you get the news the straw hats are coming to visit your worries about your life with Law start to catch up.

Y/n was decorating the tree while Law was helping with the cooking. Her belly was big and heavy with a child. “Y/n you should sit down I think you decorated the tree enough,” Bepo said. “Lunch is ready” Law shouted. Since you became pregnant Law and the crew have been keeping a close eye wanting the baby to be safe. Everyone sits down for lunch while Law helps you into a seat next to him.

“I help the chef make safe recipes for the baby,” Law said rubbing your stomach. The crew is eating the tasty food especially you are enjoying it due to the baby making you hungry for more. “Purururu, purururu, purururu click” “Hello” Law answers the den-den mushi. “Oh Traffy, we are near to meet for Christmas party” Luffy shouted on the phone. “Ok, you don't have to scream in my ear Strawhat-ya”. Law said back annoyed.

Strawhat’s ship arrived at your home base you moved into after becoming pregnant. Nami and Robin hug you congratulating you on the baby. Everyone was having fun and talking during the Christmas party. You looked for Law but he talking to Robin. You don't know why but you always get worried about seeing them together due to people thinking they are dating because Law wanted to keep your relationship secret only to your close allies due to fear someone could use you against him.

It didn't help that Robin was a big-breasted skinny long-haired goddess of a woman. While you were walking around with a large stomach and chubby thighs looking all gross due to the baby keeping you up and tired. It made you feel lesser during the pregnancy. It didn't help that as you were researching in your early stage you found that pregnant women suffer from being cheated on by their partners this didn't make you feel any better that Law was close to Robin who is not carrying a baby in her like you are. You need to get rid of these thought since it making you feel depressed and that is not good for the baby.

You don't want those thoughts bothering you and making you stressed. When you got pregnant you were afraid Law would be angry but he was happy you were having his child. You did everything it make sure your baby is healthy. But you had fears that grew as you got further in the pregnancy like what if you miscarry as it is common and unpredictable would Law hate you and leave you if it happened? What if, after the baby is born he gets tired of you and leaves for Robin?

These thoughts started to take over no matter how hard you try to ignore them and you start to feel sick thinking about it. You walked to the bathroom to puke out your lunch and looked in the mirror at yourself feeling grossed out at your body changing. Law was talking to Robin about his fear of becoming a parent when he saw you going to the bathroom and excused himself to check on you. “Y/n-ya, are you ok?” Law asked behind the door. “I'm fine, just some nausea” you respond.

“May I come in?” Law asks, you open the door to let him in. “Sorry, I felt sick and needed to get away from everyone”. You said in a sad tone. “What's wrong?” Law asked worried. You decide to tell him about everything your jealousy of Robin, your worry about how your body has changed, your fear of losing your baby, and him leaving you behind. “I'm sorry Law, I don't know if I will be a good mom with everything bothering me,” you said feeling more doubt.

Law walks over to you and hugs you. “I will never cheat on you and Robin is only a friend like the rest of the strawhats are” Law tries to make you feel better. “When you told me you were pregnant at first I didn't want the baby but then thinking about raising a child with you that we made from our love made me reconsider.” “No matter what happens I will always love you and be there for you”. He added. “Stop saying all that bad stuff about your body you look amazing to me since day 1.” “when I saw your stomach growing and you caring for our unborn child makes you more beautiful” he finished. You cried in his arms feeling relieved from his words and thank him.

You two hold each other for a while before going back to the party. Everyone came over to see if you were okay and if you needed anything for the baby. “Well I'm a bit hungry,” you said feeling the baby wanted food. Sanji gives you a delicious bowl of food and the rest of the crew go back to enjoying their Christmas. A few hours later, the party ends and strawhats leave.

Everyone else was getting ready for bed. You put on your pajamas and get into bed with Law joining you. He started to rub your belly again and kiss you as the two of you lay in bed together. “Merry Christmas, y/n - ya,” Law said after the kiss. “Merry Christmas, my beloved,” you said back as sleep take you while in Law’s embrace this Christmas night.

It wasn't supposed to be too difficult. We had talked about trying for that symbolic caloric goal. It's already mostly in reach on the days where he's attentive and the meals come very steadily. He's lying to me. He must be.

That's. No. Wait. It can't be. Doesn't he want me? Didn't I do a good job? His disappointed look means something. He's good with this stuff. Maybe he's right...

So I tried again the next day. This time, he suggested he'd handle the adding. Checking bad math would make him bothered. Pigs don't think. They eat. That's what he said. I believed him.

He must be lying. There's no way the goal hasn't hit. So many walls have been hit that had to be pushed through. Hunger is merely a theory anymore. If breathing is easy, it's time to eat. Prove him that his pig is a GOOD pig. Please. So sore. So...mindless. The bed has been home. He's caring enough to bring what is needed. Why can't the goal be hit? What's wrong with pig...his words hurt. He said they didn't hurt nearly as bad as being accused of being a liar.

It's day five tomorrow. Today was a failure. Only 8800 calories! How. The count keeps getting further away. Maybe there's too much thinking going on. Maybe a pig needs to TRULY embrace being a pig. Eat with emotion. Eat with anger. Eat for him. He was taken for granted. He provides so much release. He's holding onto that power.

i honestly love reading your personal posts, it just reminds me that there is so much to life and that there are so many things i haven't experienced yet is it hard to be an adult? to be responsible for yourself? is it worth it?

i have just realised i am being rather very weird and i am so sorry for this, please feel free to not respond if it's too personal to ask

i would hardly consider us adults. i officially moved out of my parents house less than a month ago. as far as like Adulting Tasks go the worst thing i’ve had to do so far is pick benefits for my job and figure out how to pay my rent. haven’t had to deal with a single bit of insurance anything yet (still lumped with my parents which i am more than fine with) and taxes are pretty ok to figure out. i have exactly 3 bills each month. i had to ask my mom if i had a hepatitis vaccine last week. all this to say, i am still quite literally a child.

however, i do have free will and a tiny bit of money. and that is just enough to do basically whatever i want (within reason). so far i am having a great time. (this may also be due to the fact that i am living with someone i like (katya) and both of my jobs are jobs i like. if i was totally by myself i’d be not having as much fun). it’s wonderful to say hm i want grilled cheese and then just make one. who’s going to stop you? no one. it’s wonderful. quite worth it, especially when you get to make yourself grilled cheese.

and if i look back to when i was like 16-18 and go hm imagine explaining my current situation to myself then i think that younger me would be happy that i’m doing something i like and not surrounded by people i can’t stand. are there things i would change about my current situation? absolutely. it is not perfect. but it is something and i have a place i can call my own and the power to control what i want for dinner and i can leave swedish fish out in a cup of red bull overnight to see what would happen (they get mushy and make almost jello) if i want to.

so have i enjoyed my three weeks of adulthood so far? absolutely yes. it seems to be quite worth it.

Fan artists don't have to abide by canon, and the fun part is making up new scenarios to bring joy through this characters with your imagination. You don't have to do some mental gymnastics, like they're not actually related since there's no familial connection. What I'm trying to say is that, you don't have to abide by canon nor give up your fan-creations and your happiness because of canon. We've done the same with Sukufushi.
