I need Neil Gaiman to know that Good Omens 2 made me feel emotions I haven't felt in nearly a decade.
When I heard there was going to be a Good Omens 2 I was looking forward to it, of course. I just wasn't expecting it do anything super special to my emotions. I was sure I'd enjoy it, though. I really enjoyed s1.
But, for the last few years, I watched shows and afterwards basically thought well, that was fun, and I quickly moved on and didn't think much about them. There was only about 3 shows in the last 5 years that had made me feel truly emotional and stayed on my mind to the point where I felt like I needed to engage in fandom for a while. (Good Omens 1 was one of them.)
I wasn't spoiled by the leak. I never even knew there was a leak. So I had no idea what was coming in s2. And oh boy...
See, I'd watched Our Flag Means Death, a show where you don't expect the lead characters to kiss, because, well, that never happens in these types of shows, right? And this is important because when they did kiss, it felt like a door that had been locked with just about all the high security locks in the world had suddenly, inexplicably, been opened. Something switched inside me. It took me months to understand what it was, but when I thought about Good Omens before s2 came out, I realized what it was.
I would never truly enjoy a bromance they're-only-queer/in love-by-your-own-interpreation story ever again. Stories where nothing is confirmed, just subtext that anyone who doesn't want to see it can easily deny and mock those who wish it was more.
While it was clear that Crowley and Aziraphale cared a lot about each other in s1, and were probably in love, it was still just a fun ship for fans to play with in fanfiction and fanart. Do they love each other? Oh sure. In what way? Well, that's up to interpretation. Ok, cool. But it's not quite Our Flag Means Death, is it?
Then I watched Good Omens 2. And from episode 1 I saw my favourite Angel and Demon duo love each other. And I was having the best time. I hadn't had such a good time watching a show in a long while. It was not only right up my alley, it was an alley I wasn't even aware was my alley until I saw it. I enjoyed seeing the old characters, the new characters. Oh, I was wonderful.
It was clear to me that, of course Crowley and Aziraphale love each other, are IN love with each other, showing it in their own way. And I wasn't expecting it to be THIS obvious.
And then when the kiss happened, I couldn't believe it. I covered my mouth with both hands and gasped and sat up straight in my seat. I had never expected it--the heartbreak it added to the already heartbreaking scene--it rewired something inside me.
It was like my emotions had been locked up in a stall like a horse for so, so long, and now the gate had been opened, the stable door kicked down, and the horse was running out onto the large pasture into the daylight, bucking and kicking up grass. Oh my god, I have to take a few minutes to process that entire 6 hour marathon of emotions.
And by a few minutes I meant a few days.
More than a few, actually.
I didn't need a kiss to understand how much they loved each other, but I did need the kiss to understand how intense and heartbreaking their separation is for them after everything.
But more than that, the kiss broke a barrier. They really did it, I thought. They really dared.
Aziraphale and Crowley aren't human males, no, but they're played by male actors. And that is significant. That makes the kiss significant. In the world we currently live in.
Weeks later, I'm still obsessed with the show, re-watching s1 and 2, reading the book again, listening to the audio drama. And I'm on tumblr, seeing people's posts and art to somehow sate my hunger for a s3 that doesn't exist (yet).
And I'm having a wonderful time.

I found this interview from when Shaun Evans was promoting S3 of Endeavour in 2016 and thought it was one of the more interesting ones as he gets asked some different questions. I particularly liked seeing him talk a bit about his peers and how he views his career.
Tumblr media
Shaun Evans talks Endeavour series three, Hollywood and whether he'd star in Doctor Who
As Morse returns, the star of the hit ITV drama reveals what's next for his career By David Brown - Radio Times
Falsely accused Endeavour Morse was last seen languishing in a prison cell after being framed for murder. But fans of the hit ITV drama needn't despair - Shaun Evans is back on the case for a third series beginning this evening. Here, the actor talks about life as the Oxford detective, why Morse has endured for four decades and what the future holds...
So what has brought you back to Endeavour for a third series? I didn't feel like we should have left it where we did last time. It would have been odd. As a viewer, I would have been dissatisfied to have left it there because you'd have only been telling half the story. Luckily enough, we had the opportunity to come back to do some more and I think the stories are really good - particularly the final one. It goes along at a lick. It's a bank heist but it's also a love story. And it's heartbreaking. I think it's great and it ends in a really satisfying way.
The character of Morse has now been around for 40 years - why has he endured? A good story well told will stand the test of time. And if you throw in an unusual character - someone who is in a world but not of that world - then that's intriguing.
The original series of Inspector Morse did episodes in Australia and Italy - would you like to do an overseas Endeavour? Well, they keep telling me that the character is going to Spain. But I can take myself to Malaga. I'm joking, but I'm being honest too. There is a Spanish idea, but I'd want it to be right. I don't want this job to be a jolly or something that we take for granted and phone in. There are so many variables to that kind of thing: would the locations be as good? Or the actors? Granted, it would be a laugh to go away with Roger Allam, but would it serve the show?
Does Endeavour Morse become more like you as the series goes on? I think that’s a danger, definitely. The more comfortable and confident you get with something, the easier it could be to be less diligent about creating a character. But then you’d be taking shortcuts that you might not have done three years ago. So I try not to be complacent about it. I want to be even more diligent than I was when I started. But I admit that it's a tricky one.
Having a two-hour slot for a drama seems like a privilege these days - do you worry that viewers' attention spans could be too short to cope? I don’t worry about it at all. I feel like the work we’ve done so far has been very good. Some have been better than others - as would be the case. But I feel pleased with it. Now if audiences change and they feel that the episodes are too long, boring or complicated, then well just stop. That’s OK. But I've seen some crime dramas that try to tell the story in an hour and, for me, it just doesn't work. You’re tyring to set up a killer, set up a world, solve it in an interesting or dynamic way and put in some character stuff as well. It’s nigh on impossible to do in an hour. I don’t think you can do it in a satisfying way. That’s my impression as an audience member.
Fans would be up in arms if you decided to stop Endeavour! No. I don't think that'd happen. It's just work. And they'd just fill it with something else. There'll be another brilliant show.
I think you'd make an ideal Doctor Who - would you like to play that role one day? I’ve never seen it! I think Matt Smith is a brilliant actor. And David Tennant also. But it just wasn’t my thing growing up and I feel like I’ve missed it now. I was in Moscow a few months ago and someone asked me about Doctor Who. And she thought I'd make a good Master. So if you’re offering me a part, then I’ll play the Master.
What about playing James Bond? Well, everyone wants to play James Bond, right? He always gets the girl at the end. And in the middle. And at the beginning, come to think of it. But I think that Daniel Craig would be a tough act to follow. He brings something really interesting to it.
Do you ever look at contemporaries like Benedict Cumberbatch and Eddie Redmayne and think, 'I'd like top billing in a Hollywood movie'? I know both those lads and I like them. But I never really think of my career like that. Of course, you want people to see your work, but I'm not interested in being the next so-and-so. It doesn't attract me. Mainly because it's short lived. It's better to keep working and do interesting stuff.
So being a big Hollywood star isn't all it's cracked up to be? I don't know. I suppose if you had enough clout to guarantee finance for a story you wanted to tell, then that would be a good thing. From a business point of view. But I don't spend my time being envious. There are so many variables in all that bollocks! When you desire fame or fortune - which are ephemeral things - you're building your house on sand, aren't you?
Do you have a dream project that you'd like to do? I'd love to do something about poets or photographers who have done interesting things and left an impression on their portion of the world. Someone like the American photographer Walker Evans. Or the French poet Arthur Rimbaud.
So what's next for you? I'm purposefully having some time off. I've been busy and I'd like a bit of time to read some books and just study. I want to educate myself on writers, photography, filmmaking and poetry. I'm very lucky that I've now got enough money to have a bit of time to myself and study. I'm very lucky to be in that position.

So, in Phil's live stream where he watched s2e2 (We Started An Illegal Food Truck) He said that the chapter had a catchphrase and that Charlie said it a lot in the episode. That got me thinking, is there gonna be reoccurring stuff in s3 too? I think so
In s3e1 Tommy said "Up" to a few things. The "Chicken UP" bit is a prime example. I thought it was just a dumb bit at first but i noticed that he says "Sorry UP" a little before the chicken part. It's not a lot of evidence but i think that he has an "UP" thing in s3.
I said "He" has an "UP" catchphrase, not "They." Why? because they all say that Tommy saying "Sorry UP" was weird. If it was a group catchphrase, they would have gone along with it, BUT THEY DIDN'T! I think that in s3 either only Tommy has a catchphrase, or they all have catchphrases. That's just a little something i'm thinking about tho, not too sure about it
That's that, right? WRONG! There's MORE weird shit in s3e1! Well, weirder that Sorry's normal weird
In the subtitles, there are certain words with spaces in them for no reason! In both instances, the subtitles are for Tommy. There could be something there but idk
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ALSO! In every case where someone has said the word "Sorry" it has been capitalized in the subtitles. It's a reference to the channel and i think it's a nice detail. There is ONE (1) exception to this rule, and it's at the end of s3e1 by Charlie
Tumblr media
LOWER CASE! IT'S FUCKING LOWER CASE! WHY THE HELL IS IT LOWER CASE???
I'm almost 100% sure that these mean nothing but i want an excuse to be crazy about my hyperfixation, ok? PLUS it could mean something soooo

Fellowship of Fans have released their take on The One Ring Net's article last week about those major "Rings of Power" season 2 leaks. Was curious if they would and glad they did as it's interesting to hear what FOF has heard too. They actually confirmed some of these they have also heard and they've also debunked a few too, but there are a few they don't know about so could be possible as the show did keep a few things secret for s1. Again we won't know if any of these are true, including what FOF has said, till s2 finally airs later this year. But will say they also included more about Charlie Vickers' screen time in s2 and it's good news as I know some of us were worried about it, and they're suggesting something we wanted to happen actually is. I'll break down their take between what they've also heard and what they've debunked and/or haven't heard at all.
ETA April 2024: A lot of these spoilers have been confirmed as false now including some that were leaked on purpose from Amazon to catch the leakers.
Confirmed:
The first major thing is it is possible Amazon got the ok from the Tolkien estate to use some of "The Silmarillion" to explain Sauron's backstory. This likely is mostly the use of names like Mairon, Mirthrander for Gandalf, Melkor/Morgoth, and show the Valar and Maiar.
There are flashbacks telling Sauron/Mairon's story but they haven't heard anything about what this leak said with the details. Possible the Valar and Maiar are shown on-screen in the opening, similar to Galadriel's opening in s1.
Sauron is in every episode.
Charlie Vickers filmed almost all the flashbacks and FOF seems to suggest that the Halbrand form is the human-like form of Mairon. Like above we might see what Mairon actually looked like fully as Maiar and Charlie is playing him. There likely is a flashback to his time with Adar, as Adar know Gavi Singh Chera's version, that Charlie won't be in but sounds like Gavi is mostly being used only as the Annatar version.
The 3rd actor playing Sauron very well could be Calam Lynch. They have also heard that Sauron will pretend to be Celeborn when he goes back to Eregion too, as well as shifting into Annatar when needed, but will pretend to be Galadriel's husband. They haven't posted this scoop though yet as they were waiting to get more confirmation but it is possible this is correct.
Is possible The Stranger being Gandalf/Mithrander will be revealed in the flashbacks with Charlie's Mairon/Sauron.
Sauron does use his connection to Aule to convince the dwarves to his side.
Tom Bombadil and Goldberry likely will appear.
The One Ring likely is getting made in the finale and Galadriel might make a huge choice for the cliffhanger for s3.
Debunked:
There are no bottle episodes.
Shadowfax will not appear.
Amelia Kenworthy is not playing Celebrian and there is no evil Celebrian, but Amelia's unnamed character is a villain.
That thing about the same actors playing Morgoth and Ungoliant playing Tom Bombadil and Goldberry is false, and they are not the same characters.
While the Valar and Maiar might be shown in the s2 premiere it's not what this leak described.
Things they haven't heard at all:
That Sauron has a son. That was the first time they ever heard this and they think it's false. However they aren't ruling out anything as again s1 did have leaks come out this exact same way and like they said TORT has the right to post these if they want. Will point out too TORT has doubled down on all these leaks, including this one about Sauron's son and that Adar killed him. I posted my other posts how this makes sense and I kind of do want this to happen, so if it doesn't I might write a fic about it as it weirdly works. LOL
So again we'll know for sure once season 2 airs which of these leaks/scoops were true. But again I'm really happy that it seems like Charlie is playing Mairon after all as so many of us thought he should.

Part 40
Ok so I've slept on it and have a few thoughts now.
First, I'm glad HG decided to tone down the emotional intensity of drama and tragedy - I thought it's gonna be difficult to listen to the finale after some s3 episodes, but s4 was mostly ok and the finale turned out to be lots of fun! I was smiling widely for the most of it. It even made me somewhat like Kayne! A little bit but still!
Second, we didn't "see" Noel die - great, he lives until proven otherwise. Arthur survived a similar injury, people in this universe are surprisingly durable. Noel lasted this long with a neck injury and didn't die - if Kayne didn't yeet him to some wilderness or worse, he'll live. Possible to pol up later.
Third, I thought Arthur was robbed of all his newfound allies, but I was wrong. Daniel and Marie are still in the picture, so Arthur has human "anchors", he's not alone anymore.
Who Arthur WAS robbed of, are allies who can go with him. Oscar is in the hospital and is abandoned in general, Noel... who knows where, and the surprising newcomer in Butcher's face is obliterated. It reminds me of how a lot of official "uncanon" spin-offs of different show return to status quo in the end of he series because they need to keep the cast the same and otherwise the whole outline of the show may change a lot. I'm not sure if that's the case with Malevolent since... yeah, we had a full season of a wider range of characters, but they were concentrated in the same location, which was convenient. How would this work in other cases? Plus, Arthur and John wete going on a vacation trip without anyone else anyway. Also, damn you Kayne for ruining this! They deserve the vacation!
So all in all we're back to where we started, more or less. It was a neat wrap up of the season, together with the location, new characters, some side quests and even a few answers (wild, I know).
For instance, now we know Yellow actually WAS the King in person. Seems like John is rather a big piece of him if Arthur didn't even notice any difference in the entity at first. I kinda liked my idea that Yellow might have been Kayne's creation completely, a simulacrum just for funsies, because Kayne's idea of fun is cruel. So there would have been Arthur suffering from loss of his dear friend and dealing with this ye olde version if him, John suffering either in Dreamlands or in the Dark World, and Yellow, suffering from all the confusion regarding his identity. Imagine how painful it is after all the efforts to remember, to be what you think you were, just to find out that you never were in the first place. All the "I AM THE KING" gone sour and groundless. That might have broken a newborn consciousness of Yellow, his adopted identity. But he also could have explored it and become something new altogether. Man I'd like to read a fic like that.
But he's the KiY, which is why not, too. He has some new info to work with. New lasting impressions to process. I bet those little adventures in the human world and time with Arthur, time with Larson, short and heated but still... connected argument with John won't go without a trace. Damn I wanted them to talk properly SO BAD and now we're unlikely to get it, ever 😭 But at least there was John, clearly uneasy with the idea of killing Yellow. I don't think it's just his concern about himself vanishing as well. He souned rather sympathetic towards Yellow when they talked about him with Arthur. This warms my heart.
Right. There are 3 things related to this.
John's attitude towards Yellow and the King (Yellow still has amnesia so I can't consider him the King, the personas are different) in pt 40, towards the complete separation from them reminded me of going full no contact with abusive/toxic family. It's hard, and one would often wonder if they survive on their own. Arthur having faith in him didn't ensure anything but helped, I think.
The King and John are fully separated now, so John must be safe-er (if Kayne didn't lie) and his journey is more his now. It isn't even remotely perfect since he's still stuck with Arthur but it's still good news. And I believe they don't have to worry about the King anymore. If he regains his memories, he'll know John is of no use to him anymore, and there's no use to try and hunt these two down since they'll win SOMEHOW eventually, anyway. They have powerful patrons. *wink wink*
Maybe some time later, like, muuuuch later, they will be able to talk properly. Like equals. To exchange experience, impressions. The King values art and knowledge, and so does John. I believe his curiosity is an inherent trait they both share. C'mon. The King is too possessive to let such a chance go. GIMME THEIR CONVERSATIONS I NEED THESE
Also, I'm concerned about Larson. Sure he's half-dead (seriously, 3 gunshot wounds in the body - stomach and back, - strangulation, eye snatching, and he's STILL alive, can he just roll over and die please? As a treat?), but physical form has never been his forte anyway. He successfully brainwashed Yellow and tried to do the same to John (ahaha that was a funny attempt, well, would have been, be John not losing himself at the moment, but the outcome was still pretty much predictable and laughable), his power is in his mind. His words are poison, and he can still speak. I am NOT ok with that. With what he can do to Yellow/the King. What if he talks him into something terrible again. Leave my bby be ffs, Yellow deserves some peace and quiet of his home in Dreamlands. Seriously, Larson is terrible to children and I've said it multiple times that Yellow really reminds me of a rebellious teenager.
Next, I've missed the first 5 minutes or so, so I don't know if it's relevant, but CAN SOMEONE PLEASE explain to me like I'm 5 what was up with the Butcher? It was the most out of blue twist ever. Why did he agree to help? Why did he go against Larson when he was so persistent before? I understand maybe admitting defeat and a respect towards Arthur and Noel who caught him, but helping? Was he promised to be set free of smth? I'll relisten fron the very beginning but uh will it really clear thus up?..
Also. When I said "some answers", it was really just a few. We still have no idea what's up with the 3 soldiers, that woman in the woods, the stone. Is Kayne going to show something about that?
And do we just leave the ultimate purpose, the separation device, sitting in that underground place, just like that?
And I did NOT like how defeated, lifeless Arthur sounded when he agreed to go with Kayne. What's the big deal?? He KNEW John was hiding something, knew it was important, could deduce there was some lie due to Johns intense interest in white lies topic, and it wouldn't have been a stretch to assume John really DOESN'T LIKE lying to him if it can be helped and wouldn't harm them (intentionally). Which, it couldn't. All this, prior to Kayne's appearance. All that conversation did was fill in the blanks. Now Arthur has a clear picture. John didn't say anything that could put a blame on himself. If anything, his actions and behavior make so much more sense now. Arthur is WELL aware about the fact that being left alone in the Dark World is John's WORST fear that came true and lasted. It was one thing to end up there the 1st time. Terrible, traumatizing, but how much WORSE it is to be thrown there again after John learned what it's like to NOT be alone, to be himself? To have hope? Just to lose it all. He called to Kayne only after a long time, when there was nothing to hope fore anymore and he could stand it any longer. Did he hope for Arthur to find him? Even if just a little? Just for that to never happen? And then Arthur's words in the mines, about "let's find each other there". Damn, my heart 💔
I understand Arthur may be somewhat shoked and there was no time to process, but if he's gonna be bitching up bout ANY of that, I'll be angry.
It just. It's the only explanation I can find for why he sounded so... like he gave up. Like the backbone he was relying on betrayed him. When none of that actually happened.

So the mayor works for Lady Bone Demon, and they now have the lamp.
All they need now is the staff and the flower. I'm guessing the staff will be the last thing collected bc they know where it is. The flower... I'm not too sure on. There hasn't been any hints about it yet that I've noticed.
So that's going to be the next episode's adventure.
The skull made of bobba in the tea for Mei feels like some foreshadowing as well. It was there when MK came back with the snack, again when he went to hand it to her, and finally when Macaque was speaking to MK before he revealed himself. I don’t think she’s going to die, but something really bad will happen to her.
There's some parallels to Macaque and Wukong's story and to Wukong and MK's story of the warrior and hero. Even tho Macaque told it thru his POV, the puppet for the hero (the sun) was very much MK and the warrior (the moon) was Wukong.
Something is going to happen to Wukong and he's going to fall to the darkness. There was a shot from a few episodes ago where one of the people in the parade dressed as Sun Wukong was infected with the spider venom. Something like that will happen to Wukong.
It's going to have to do with MK becoming very powerful and casting a shadow over Wukong. Something with his self doubt? His fear that Wukong chose incorrectly?
I've never put much thought into why Wukong gave his powers to MK in the first place. I know that he said that he's ✨retired✨, but it feels like there's more to that. I'm putting a pin in that thought for now, bc I'm not entirely sure on it.
I feel like I have the right strings, but my brain can't form everything into coherent words. But I think I'm picking up on things. Enough that I have a sense of where this season is heading - Lady Bone Demon manipulating MK enough to be able to create her weapon and get revenge on Wukong.
That feels right.
Ok, so tomorrow is Wednesday (and yes, every time I write or type that, I do say "wed-ness-day"). And I didn't prep much for dinner tomorrow, so squeezing in an episode will be Difficult. I'm thinking 1 episode on Thursday and 2 on Friday to finish off the season, and picking up with s3 on Saturday. Sound good? Until then!

post volume 2 byler hope
i know volume 2 has left us feeling very pessimistic and hopeless for the possibility of byler. yet, i do still think there is reason to hope and so i have compiled a list of amazing posts that have definitely increased my faith in s5 byler.
(here is a small disclaimer that even though byler just makes sense to us narratively and overall, there is still a chance that the duffers won’t go through with it. if you choose to have hope regardless, that’s great! but pessimism is absolutely valid too. cautious optimism is definitely recommended)

(Forgive me if I end up presenting something as this amazing find, but turns out that it was stupidly obvious in the episode, currently on a road trip, and posting cuz I’m bored 😭 and doing this thru memory and past liveblogs alone)
ok. trying to piece together a (messy) explanation as to why Rico acts like that in s3 (using my memory and past liveblogs alone) after everything that happened with Angelina and their kid since the show never bothered to dig deeper into that (oh. And Sonny is here too).
Starting with Walk Alone, Rico jumps at the opportunity to go undercover at Bolton Prison despite the fact that it’s extra dangerous, which he is aware of. He makes this decision with no feeling at all, it felt like a very empty “I’ll do it.” This feels very different from the Rico of episodes like Tale of the Goat where he didn’t take the threat seriously at all which almost lead him to his death. Sonny strongly opposes this decision knowing that his friend could be seriously harmed by doing this, but I read these feelings possibly running deeper than that, perhaps he felt that Rico wasn’t ready (mentally) for this type of mission, that he’s not in the right headspace making this decision (his line in SaL, “I’m not tryna crowd ya”). I felt like these two were kinda distant in this season (which others have pointed out as well), and sure they still have their friendly moments, but it’s much more reduced compared to previous seasons. But here’s the thing though, Rico closes up due to all that happened to his family, but Sonny is closed off and more tough because... I would sayyyy… Dick Wolf reasons his last few episodes that he got before Sons and Lovers, specifically talking about The Fix and Payback, where he witnesses the judge’s suicide, Maroto’s suicide (both literally a few feet away from him), and afterwards acts super paranoid. Unfortunately we get no emotional closure by the end of the ep, we don’t get to see Sonny and Rico reunite, see Sonny’s reaction to his partner being worn out, bloodied, and bruised, or even a simple “you good?” “I’m good” between them.
(memory is now starting to falter)
Better Living Through Chemistry focuses more on Rico’s past partnership with Clarence Batisse. The backstory is that while Clarence and Tubbs were on a numbers bust, Clarence shoots a bookie, but Clarence wants Tubbs to lie for him about what truly happened to the IAD, but Tubbs refuses to go along with his plan. This leads to Clarence losing his job and his family. Years later they reunite by complete accident, Tubbs is undercover and Clarence notices him from across the room, and exposes his cover (unsure abt if he knew abt his job or not, so he might’ve done it on purpose). Later on, Tubbs visits Clarence at his new home, less as a “how d’you do” and more of a “what the hell, man”. Clarence laments about his job and what happened to his family, and he mentions that if Tubbs went through what he did, he would’ve been there for him no matter what. There are other episodes that cover the issue of how far you’d be willing to go for your partner, but they were usually focused more on Sonny.
Later in the episode, Sonny questions Clarence’s involvement/innocence in the current case, but Tubbs quickly comes to his ex-partner’s defense, repeating something similar to what Clarence said to him about loyalty to a partner (“what would you do if I were the one being questioned?” ). Usually it would be Tubbs to question the honesty of Sonny’s friends, but the roles are reversed. But the thing I don’t understand is Tubbs coming to Clarence’s defense when A) he doesn’t even like him that much and B) Clarence has (attempted to) lied before about his innocence before. But the end of the episode explains why Tubbs was so willing to extend mercy to him.
Rico: The Clarence Batiste I knew wouldn’t even think of kidnapping somebody.
Clarence: The Clarence Batiste you knew died eight years ago.
Rico: I don’t think so. I think there’s plenty more on the inside.
Rico arrests Clarence, but takes him without handcuffs. Deep down Rico believed Clarence was redeemable, and he still does. It’s something that he does multiple times with others (Valerie, Jackie, and later with Burnett).
(Mentioning Baby Blues in passing since I already made a post about it and said how it should’ve been a Tubbs episode)
The Afternoon Plane was an episode that I was soooo looking forward to because we were finally gonna continue with the Calderone storyline, but….. it felt like a big disappointment. Tubbs and Alicia (the best character in this episode was Alicia, the only bearable one imo) are trapped in the island by Calderone’s men, so they’re gonna fight their way out. Tubbs doesn’t want Alicia to get involved out of fear that she’ll get hurt, but she isn’t scared of that. He talks to her about what happened to his family, and she tells him that he can’t live with this pain alone, but Rico has such a hard time opening up about this stuff even with his own partner, that he’d rather suffer in silence. It was a nice moment, but too quick imo, the rest of the episode focuses more on the impending fight, trying to get people on Tubbs’s side, and they throw in a little love triangle at some point for no reason (not that I didn’t like Sally, it’s just that the love competition thing was unnecessary). They chose to only do ONE episode to wrap it up, but it failed big time 😭 Calderone Jr. doesn’t even appear til the last fifteen minutes, then they have a short showdown, which felt lackluster, and the conclusion left me unsatisfied. But hey, at least Alicia made it out alive, or else this would’ve been the second time one of his lovers would be hurt by a Calderone (which I guess this is why Tubbs didn’t want Alicia to do anything dangerous, out of fear that he would be reliving the events of Angelina).
Red Tape kinda made up for this tho, being one of the few times Tubbs gets to express his anger (it was an act, but there must’ve been some honesty behind it). Again, Sonny must play the calm one of the duo, and is trying to coax his partner into rejoining the force, none of it works, and leaves him heartbroken.
Sonny: Three years. That guy’s been my partner for three years.
Cop (who was so unfortunate to witness such an ugly divorce): When a guy goes over the edge, sometimes trying to help pushes them further. I think this guy’s gotta come back on his own— if he comes back at all.
Sonny has gone through being upset with his job, but he’s never gone so far as to quit, so this advice seems ok in the moment for him. (Sorry I literally can’t remember much of this episode, so this is gonna be short) The ending is depressing, like, half of the people on the scene end up dead, and what started as an act for Tubbs actually ended up affecting him. Sonny tries his best to look on the bright side, saying that despite the cost they got what they needed. Just like in Walk Alone we don’t get to see much of Sonny and Rico dealing with the after effects of a devastating event. This season has multiple times where they weren’t given enough time to process something together, but thankfully Viking Bikers From Hell gives us a little bit of that.
Viking Bikers From Hell. Bad. Weird. What the hell. Literally, I only watch it for the hospital scenes. Sonny could’ve lost Tubbs many times this season, but now that he can actually see his partner seriously hurt right in front of him, he softens up, reverting back to his s2 nature. When Tubbs wakes up, they have a talk about what separates them from the bad guys, Sonny says that the only thing differentiating them is that“we got better aim”. The episode doesn’t even make up for their weird relationship stuff going on between them for most of the season, but thankfully when s4 came around Dick Wolf lightened up a bit and actually let them be normal with each other again.

Spoilers for YR3 episodes 1-5!
Ok so I got to the buffer in s3. As I predicted, I really love this season so far (and totally called that angsty music room scene being in episode 5). I'll probably give a full review after the 6th episode comes out on Monday but here are a few things for now:
2 side things I really wanted to see going into this season was Micke and finding out what was going on with Stella and Fredrika. Loved the dad storyline and so happy we got to see more of him (even though it was concluded at the end that he really was just a horrible person). That being said, what is going on with Stella and Fredrika?? I can't be the only one to notice the romantic tension there right?? Like come on Young Royals! Please I am really hoping the 6th episode gives some conclusion on that storyline! I'm kind of sick of these shows sidelining the sapphic characters and I hope they don't do that with these two.
Really hope that Felice and Sara get resolved! I loved their friendship in the first two seasons. I know that Felice was hurt, but Sara seems like she is actually really sorry and wants to at least be friendly with Felice again. I don't think things will go back to how they were but I really hope they can at least make peace with each other.
Simon is fading. You can tell he is just slowly losing himself and its heartbreaking. I really hope that he and Wilhelm have an open and honest talk in episode 6 and he can be more himself again. It breaks my heart that he's not enjoying singing as much, keeps getting attacked, and had to delete his social media profiles. I really do love him and Wilhelm together but they desperately need to communicate and be more themselves in the last episode without all of the added pressure
Ok, I loved Wilhelm's outburst at his parents and then the scene directly after with Simon. I said a few episodes ago that Young Royals will building up to an explosion. Well here was that explosion. And we will get to see the aftermath in its entirety next episode! I don't blame Wilhelm for being angry and I'm glad he got it all out when he did. Can't wait to see what happens next with that.
The whole Erik thing has been so interesting and horrible to learn this season. I have been waiting to learn more about Erik since season 1 and I feel like season 2 just glossed over him. Learning that he was a pretty horrible person and was potentially homophobic is devestating but it also gives him so much more character. It further proves that he was not perfect and this is something that the Queen and the Duke really need to wrap their heads around.
Last thought for now: I actually have no idea how this season will end. Like I'm torn on whether or not Wilhelm will abdicate. He seems like he wants to, but he also doesn't want August to be king. I also think that Wilhelm would actually be a great king if he could just have more of a say and more control. In the past I could always predict how the season was going to end at this point but I can not tell you for this season. It's so exciting and also very scary. I am 99.99% confident Wilmon will be endgame though. The writers would not do us dirty like that. It will either be implied that they will get back together in the future or we will very clearly see it in the next episode. I also don't really think that last scene in episode 5 was a breakup. It was more of an invitation to talk?? I have to remind myself that they were in the palace in the same room (on Wilhelm's birthday for that matter) and that would be a really weird place and time for Simon to just dump him. (Also side note but "Arcade" by Duncan Laurence was the perfect music choice for that scene and so fitting for them as a couple)
I have so many more thoughts about this show but I will likely do a fuller review when that last episode is out. These are just a few things going into the last episode that I wanted to highlight. I love this show so much and can not believe it is almost over. I am so thankful that we will see the conclusion that was always meant to happen and I'll see you all on the other side!
Happy to have any discussions about episodes 1-5 in the comments!

so i've been seeing ppl talking about finn wolfhard "love songs" playlist on spotify and how he made it for byler. (he also made a playlist for his character richie so making this wouldn't be out of the blue for him).
Tumblr media
i honestly thought it was a stretch at first but after further analysis... it's too perfect to not relate to byler (unless finn wolfhard has a love triangle situation going on himself).
anyways here's my analysis of each song on the playlist! (i'll only be talking about 6/7 because one of the songs is in an east asian language that i do not understand!!)
1. Boys Don't Cry - The Cure
so the first song on the playlist is boys don't cry which has been talked about and analysed multiple times because we see a poster of the song in wills bedroom. and although people say that it's will song, i believe that it relates to mike more! especially in the lyrics:
I would say I'm sorry if I thought that it would change your mind.
But I know that this time I have said too much, been too unkind.
we all know that mike wheeler says stuff he doesn't mean to (evident in the s3+4 byler fight) and he has a hard time apologizing. not only that but we don't really see mike getting emotional! will isn't afraid to cry but mike is. anyways this song has been analyzed lots already so moving on to #2
2. Let Her Go - Mac Demarco
i'm not gonna lie, when i first saw this song i was shocked to the very core because of how much it realtes to the mikewillel love triangle. the first lyrics being:
Tell her that you love her, if you really love her.
But if your heart just ain't sure, let her know.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
obviously mike can't tell her that he loves her because he doesn't even know if he truly loves eleven or not. (and when mike did end up telling eleven that he loves her, there is obvious hesitation coming from mike and even el didn't believe him).
Growing by the hour, love just like a flower.
But when the flower dies, you've got to say goodbye and let her go.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
hello???? literally the flowers that mike got her in ep2 and then we see the same flowers dead in the last episode. (not to mention this is when el hasn't talked to mike much in a couple days and their relationship is rocky). so is mike finally going to let el go?
3. Lovesong - The Cure
ok this song is absolutely adorable just look at the lyrics:
Whenever I'm alone with you, you make me feel like I am home again.
Whenever I'm alone with you, you make me feel like I am whole again.
Whenever I'm alone with you, you make me feel like I am young again.
Whenever I'm alone with you, you make me feel like I am fun again.
at the beginning of season 4, we see mike being closed off and definitely not like himself. he was a shitty friend to will at the airport and rink-o-mania because el was by his side. but once el had to leave to regain her powers, we started seeing more of the old mike as he spent time alone with will. i assume that will makes mike feel like he's home again even though they're in a completely different state and he makes him feel young again just how they were in season 2 (especially with the crazy together parallel in ep9).
However far away, I will always love you.
However long I stay, I will always love you.
i mean, come on even when they were in different states, they still loved each other! sure things were rocky the first few days mike came to california but then they went right back to being inspeperable!
4. Africa - Toto
this song has been used before in stranger things specifically in season 1 episode 1 in a stancy scene. and although there are multiple meanings behind this song, the more accurate one to our situation is "This song tells the story of a man who comes to Africa and must make a decision about the girl who comes to see him." in this case, mike comes to california and has to make a decision about el.
Hurry boy, she's waiting there for you.
It's gonna take a lot to drag me away from you.
we all know that el is infatuated with mike and is the first to meet him at the airport and she has clearly been waiting for spring break in order to see him again. as for the second line, mike and el are obviously bonded by trauma which makes it so difficult for the pair to break up. mike will have to go through a lot in order to end things with el in order to be with will.
I seek to cure what's deep inside, frightened of this thing that I've become.
we all know that mike has internal struggles and lashes out at people (especially will) when he didn't mean to.
Gonna take some time to do the things we never had.
and when they both find out that their love is requited, then what!!
5. Inbetween Days - The Cure
this song is about having to choose between two people, and feeling guilty because you don't know which one to choose! basically a love triangle.
And I know I was wrong, when I said it was true.
That it couldn't be me and be her in between without you.
Tumblr media
those lyrics are basically this image. i really like this random person's interpretation of the song cause its so accurate: "it's the story of a guy being in now stagnant relationship with a girl but pining for someone from the past that he parted ways with, now he's realizing that the current relationship couldn't work without this someone always getting in the way." it perfectly describes their love triangle.
i also want to add how the singer is talking about apologizing for saying the wrong thing to his current girlfriend (which is very mike wheeler core) but based on what we saw in the last episode, el isn't taking any of mikes shit! (good for her).
6. Lost Weekend - The So So Glos
ok so i actually love this song, i have it in my playlist lol and i never realized how much it applied to byler!! this song is generally about youth and growing up with someone.
You and I, riding high, in a landfill building castles.
castle byers, obviously and i'd like to think that mike and will spent a lot of time in their youth there together!
And we can't speak, cause we're in too deep.
We've grown up eighty-sixed and ended up like this.
clearly mike and will aren't willing to confess their love for each other (and this is sort of on the nose) because they're so deeply in love with one another. also, eighty-sixed is slang for being thrown out or discarded which could relate to mike and will being heavily bullied when they were younger (which is canon). and then they went to each other for comfort and continue to go to each other to this day.
anyways that's all of the analysis i have in me! even if this isn't true, it was still fun to look at the lyrics of these songs and try to figure out how they relate to byler lol (and if it is true then finn wolfhard is one bold man).

CBS Ghosts s3 theories: Who got sucked off
(Credits to @lalverdicia , their posts on this matter helped me write this lol)
Like all of the CBS Ghosts fans, I am too shocked by the finale and anxious for s3, so I'm gonna write my theories for the biggest cliffhanger: Who got "sucked off".
First, we have to really understand the concept of getting "sucked off".
The first contact we have with the term is in 1x03 "Viking Funeral", where Thorfinn's corpse is found. There, he explains that one of his biggest regrets is not having a viking funeral, something he longed for during his life, and that if Sam and Jay threw one for him, he could get "sucked off", sent to where most souls are when they die.
Tumblr media
So, getting sucked off is when a ghost solves a long-standing issue, some sort of unfinished business that the ghosts leave unsolved.
This concept is very important for most of the theories I'm going to show to you, so please keep the concept in mind while reading.
Alberta
Tumblr media
So, we all know what Alberta's main 'goal' was as a ghost: Finding out who murdered her. And she does, in 2x21, "Whodunnit". But she didn't get sucked off then, so she isn't a possibility, right? Well, maybe she is.
In 2x22, "The Heir", after the ghost court deciding on Hetty's punishment, Alberta forgives her, which could cause Alberta to get sucked off. But still it's not very believable, as she was with the other ghosts when Trevor told everyone Nigel and Isaac were engaged. So, I think Alberta isn't in the table for this one.
Nigel
Tumblr media
I personally don't believe a lot on this, but the theory suggests that the happiness of when Isaac proposed to him could have made him get sucked off, but there are a couple reasons why this isn't a viable theory:
-First, he didn't get sucked off immediately when he accepted Isaac's proposal. Maybe it didn't happen IMMEDIATELY after, but if they had the time to tell Trevor, it's very probable he didn't get sucked off.
-Second, he only met Isaac AFTER they both died, and probably only a bit of time after, and like I said, getting sucked off is when a ghosts resolves like some sort of unfinished business they left for their afterlife.
Saying all is this, I don't think Nigel is on the table either.
Isaac
Tumblr media
Nigel only met Isaac after they both died, but it's not the exact same the other way around. In the episode where we first see Nigel, there are flashbacks of Isaac using the glass on his gun (I don't remember it well, ok??) to spy on Nigel, because of his looks, and then Isaac accidentally kills him. Maybe if we had a bit more background information, we could understand if his proposal had the impact to make him get sucked off, but he didn't get sucked off in the moment, so, not this guy either.
Nancy
Tumblr media
Nancy is a good theory. When she offers to fake date Pete, she says (Correct me if something is wrong, I watched the episode a WHILE ago) that she doesn't want to stand in a basement for eternity, she wanted to actually do something, and in the last few episodes of s2, she is becoming more of a part of the upstairs ghosts. That could've been a reason for her to get sucked off, but it isn't much of an 'unfinished business'.
Stephanie
Tumblr media
For Stephanie, the reason isn't really "theoretical", and more of an image analysis.
Tumblr media
If you pay attention, you can see that the flash of light only illuminates the attic, and the only ghost who lives there is Stephanie. It's not the best theory, but it could be something.
So who really got 'sucked off'?
I believe that there is no way to know. If we had more information of the lives of characters like Nigel, Stephanie, Nancy, or even Isaac, it could be unlocked more easily, but for now, all we can do is wait.
Thanks for reading <3
(Please correct me if I said anything wrong)

Ok final TSR wrap up and thoughts moving into S3 below
Whatta book damn. RJ is genuinely funny to me and there’s a lot of like, physical and situational comedy that I hope carries through to S3 (Nynaeve throwing the collar at Moghedien, Elayne and her 2x4, nobody knowing what the hell anyone is ever doing). He’s also so good at just like, desperate crushing character moments, like the AoL Aiel, Aram taking the sword, the final Battle of Two Rivers.
Even more so than Rand this is really Perrin’s book. He has the most complete storyline, which is great for S3 but a challenge moving forward as he is literally not in TFoH, and doesn’t do much until Dumai’s Wells. He also fights a lot of Trollocs, like a lot. Every second chapter someone is fighting Trollocs. For timing purposes the show could easily cut it down to Perrin’s failed ambush, and the final battle. That would still get him to the Tuatha’an and the Whitecloaks while cutting out two or three skirmishes. Whether CGI or practical i’m sure the Trollocs would be expensive and they already got dragged for 1x08’s PS2 Trollocs, so i’d personally rather have them less but better quality. I could see him and Faile having a whirlwind “omg what did we just do” kind of wedding in face of all the Trollocs and not expecting to live, but I can also see that being pushed. I think this will be the bulk of the S3 time.
Rand’s storyline could really be two eps, there’s actually not a lot there once we get rid of the Stone (for now). One for Cold Rocks Hold leading to Rhuidean, and then one for the journey to Alcair Dal. Of course he’s gonna have more to do like argue with Moiraine about prophecy, and hopefully everyone will get some bonding time in Falme, but he’s mostly travelling which the show doesnt really focus on with their wild back and forth, and he also gets attacked by a lot of Trollocs. Lan also has nothing to do this book so sword and toxic masculinity lessons being pushed to S3 will smooth that out at least.
Egwene kind of has nothing to do this book so S3 will surely be her Dreaming, although I wonder in what capacity. Verin, Siuan, or the Wise Ones or even Aviendha could really be intro points. I also don’t believe she would pass by the Dominion Band two or three times without realizing what it is, so her intro Dreaming sequence is largely filler except for meeting Amys. Nynaeve has a line about Egwene waking up screaming from nightmares so i think she of all people would recognize it. She also has a few moments with Moiraine so Moiraine’s story will probably be focused on Egwene and Rand versus her own S2 storyline.
Much of Tanchico is through Elayne’s perspective, which pulls her into our main group. Nynaeve takes a slight backseat in PoV to balance it out. There will be a lot going on between Thom, Min, Liandrin, Moggy, and possibly Mat, (Egeanin?) but I think it will also be the smoothest to adapt as everybody has something to do already, instead of having to make stuff up to keep them moving together.
The leftover bit is the coup. Min not being there to rescue Siuan doesnt really matter except that someone will have to take her spot, as i dont think Siuan can do it herself. Gawyn seems a good choice to set up his inner conflict/indecision. The Blues could also just sweep them out on their way to Salidar. Siuan does spend a LONG time looking for Salidar, and as much as i love a good depression roadtrip this would cut time AND spare us Gareth if they could just go right there. Especially if LoC plotlines are coming in S4 we dont have time to wander the countryside and burn down a barn.
Anyways my inexperienced opinion is its actually not that much to get through, if you imagine one intro episode, 2 for each Two Rivers, the Waste, and Tanchico storylines, and maybe even one Andor/Tower focused. Two Rivers will wrap up in ep 7, and the rest in ep 8. I’m imagining the coup and Couladin will be the big season cliffhangers.

Why Fist Thingy is (or is in cahoots with) Walkie Talkie theory (and also my Actual Thoughts about Walkie Talkie)
Tumblr media
here to tell you guys mytheory on why FIST THINGY IS THE SECRET INANIMATE INSANITY INVITATIONAL VILLAIN!!!!!! read it. (contains spoilers for iii17!!!)
(just wanna preface this with the fact this is mostly a joke!!! i thought of this while rewatching the whole show back in october and decided the new episode would be a time to post about it. did it for the funnies and the slightest chance there may be some merit to it)
Tumblr media
Ok first item on the agenda this is gonna get wild so strap in tight or else it may blow your seatbelts off: iii has introduced the concept of fist thingy being sentient, doing things a non-sentient object would not do
this is something that the show has NEVER hinted at before, making it seem almost as if they’ve added this in specifically for a reason..an EVIL reason?!?! suspicious!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
second! we have fist thingy Sending Contestants To Indefinite Island. we know it has to be intentional on fist thingy’s part, since it’s done consistently, HOWEVER. it is completely without mephone’s knowledge—until iii10, he had no idea about indefinite island at all and he did not give fist thingy the direction to send eliminated contestant characters there. which means that someone ELSE has to have done it—whoever is behind walkie talkie .. or fist thingy itself, perhaps ?! mysterious!!!
Tumblr media
next up here at spot number three we have the springy connection. now that it has been confirmed that springy and walkie talkie Are Indeed working together, there is something Verrrrrry interesting i was thinking…what sort of object is fist thingy? a boxing glove. now, what do springy’s mitten-covered hands look like when curled into a fist (!!!), and particularly in this image at the end of the ep? THAT’S RIGHT, BOXING GLOVES!!! curious!!!
but ashy! i hear you cry out. this is all so farfetched! what reason would fist thingy have to be walkie talkie in the first place? well imagine this little ones. fist thingy is just like mephone. overly attached to the show. been here since the early days and wants it to go on forever. however it was mostly left behind in s2, save for a few scarce appearances—so it’s desperate for any chances to stay in use in s3 it finally finds a voice through the use of a walkie talkie (don’t. Don’t question how.) and tries to keep it going as much as it can because once it’s over—what use is it going to be anymore? also hey if you wanna add in the “something bad happens to every cohost” thing then fist thingy has a reason to hate the floor specifically—it’s shown frustration over not being able to send him away
or, Alternatively, it’s the other way around. what i mean is fist thingy still isn’t sentient but was hijacked and is being controlled by walkie talkie—still is walkie talkie, but not technically actually walkie talkie or just in cahoots with walkie talkie! either way it has to be one of them, because fist thingy wouldn’t just be sending contestants to indefinite island for no reason BUT YEAH!!! end of my awesome theory unless i remember some other point hope you enjoyed …
honestly it could end up being something Similar to this but with one major detail different. that’s what happened last time when i predicted bot in april 2021 but thought they were meeple made
if you want my Actual Thoughts behind walkie talkie. who it is, i don’t know exactly. but she’s definitely a kinda metaphor or stand-in for like, The Corporation, the way capitalism affects art, you know—the whole ai art metaphor as well as the whole deal with springy
she’s someone who wants to Profit from the show, i think. which is why she’s so desperate to keep it going like mephone is—not that she holds any sentimental value towards it, but because it’s popular, she wants to make it her cash cow and milk it dry and mephone is a person who would let it happen
she Could be from meeple, i suppose, but i don’t really think so? we’ll see. although she doesn’t appear to have any relations with it cobs Did enjoy profiting off of the show without mephone’s knowledge, aside from that though there doesn’t appear to be much reason to see them as the same this is just a Different corporation. a different capitalism, i guess! while cobs would orchestrate fights and such to make the show more exciting and adam begged for bow to stay because viewers liked her, walkie talkie doesn’t seem to really care about entertainment value. she doesn’t care about the art. she prefers quantity over quality and to get that quantity, to get The Money, she has to keep the show running for as long as she can, way past what’s natural. 2 different kinds of corporate meddling
the show has sponsorships. MAYBE THE LIFERING SPONSORS MEANT SOMETHING AFTER ALL!!! springy wants to sell a contestant as a mascot to endlessly profit off of them
etc etc this has gotten very long …im excited to see the finale!!! what is walkie talkie’s DEAL!!

House Episode Master List
Here is my recommended house episodes my credentials are that I have watched house 3 times and the episodes that I remember are worth it and the ones I don't after 3 times must be bad. If you are really bored you can watch them all; you can play spot the celebrity. I was going to describe them all but that's pretty spoiler-y so I will not......
Season 1
S1.E1 - Pilot Classic. You can see how baby Wilson is in the beginning.
I actually don't remember season 1 too much. You can just watch the whole season to get a sense of the house cast. I don't care much for the Volger subplot; he's just House's villian.
If you want to speed run it: S1.E5 / S1.E8 / S1.E10
S1.E21 - Three Stories Fun episode
Season 2
S2.E1 - Acceptance Gotta watch the first episode of every season I guess
S2.E5 - Daddy's Boy I admit I don't remember this episode but some House backstory for you.
S2.E6 - Spin Making you watch an episode for a crumb of Hilson
S2. E7 - Hunting Gaydar
(I skipped a lot of episodes; House has a arc with his ex and I don't care. There may be some Hilson sprinkled in)
S2.E14 - Sex Kills Hilson at the end
S2.E15 - Clueless Hilson
S2.E16 - Safe Oh good more Hilson
S2.E17 - All In Fun episode where they play poker
S2.E18 - Sleeping Dogs Lie Ok this episodes kinda funny at the end
S2.E19 - House vs. God Cute Hilson moment also some Wilson lore

Season 4
S4.E1 - Alone
S4.E2 - The Right Stuff
S4.E3 - 97 Seconds House does a little game show type of game to hire a new team; if you like it keep watching if you find it boring go ahead and skip. Olivia Wilde is in them and she's hot so I find them fun.
S4.E4 - Guardian Angels
S4.E5 - Mirror Mirror Hilson; don't blink or you'll miss it.
S4.E8 - You Don't Want to Know I will make you watch this episode for the tiniest bit of Hilson

S6.E16 - Black Hole Hilson
S6.E17 - Lockdown Thirteen gets along with the gays
S6.E18 - Knight Fall Thirteen is the best because House doesn't hit on her and simply goes to her for Wilson troubles.
S6.E20 - The Choice House and Wilson might be gay but this show is still h*m*ph*bic
S6.E21 - Baggage
Season 7
House and Cuddy date and it's awful and boring and makes no sense. You may watch the first few episodes if you wish but this show cannot write straight romance to save its life.
S7.E3 - Unwritten
S7.E5 - Unplanned Parenthood
S7.E12 - You Must Remember This
S7.E17 - Fall from Grace
S7.E18 - The Dig
S7.E21 - The Fix
Season 8
I do not care for season 8.
S8.E2 - Transplant Hilson
S8.E9 - Better Half The one hilson scene is so. much.
S8.E16 - Gut Check House and Wilson are in it.
S8.E17 - We Need the Eggs
S8E18 - Body & Soul
The rest of the episodes are Hilson so finish them up!

What would happen if R + M's story had a bit of a longer build up for them to get together, whether that's a few more episodes or seasons?
Ooh, I love this. I imagine a much slower burn sometimes if Marissa had never caught Luke cheating in TJ and if she'd never OD'd. I imagine the core four arrives in TJ and Ryan pretends to be ok with Marissa/Luke reuniting. I think Marissa would make excuses to hang out with Ryan and SS in Tijuana under the guise of Luke wanting to party with his friends, so the core four hang out a bit and party before heading back to Newport.
In Newport, I think Marissa would give a half-ass attempt at setting Ryan up on a date with someone from Charity League. Sometimes I think about the RM angst that would continue on and on for weeks as they pretend to be just friends. Luke and Ryan sending one another daggers on the soccer field but trying to be cordial for Marissa's sake. Marissa in super denial mode about Luke not being right for her after thinking he was for basically her whole life and sleeping with him for the wrong reasons. I don't think Ryan makes a move but Marissa wants him to and I can see RM being paired together for a school project and all of a sudden they're kissing and it just feels so right and good and Marissa feels so terrible but, like, knows at once that this is real.
Luke isn't distraught when she ends things but he's resentful of Ryan and basically tries to 'win' the breakup by saying he's been seeing other girls for weeks. Which is only partly true because he's only been with Holly once or twice since 106. And he tells Marissa that Ryan totally knows and hid it from her too. More should've been done with the idea that Ryan knows Marissa's being cheated on in s1 and s3 and her not knowing he knows. We know he keeps it from her in good faith, but that's a good tension that could be explored.
Imagine the slow burn extending to multiple seasons! First kiss in the s1 finale! Insanity. I'm with Adam Brody. They needed to stretch all these storylines out so much better.
