#spilled ink #to evoke #does it howl inside? #monsters are the patron saints of our blissful imperfections #this is not my mother #my comics #my writing #poetry #ok now all the obligatory tags are done lol im actually working on making this a collage illustration book similar to eric carle's style #if youve ever seen his book Have You Seen My Cat? it's based on that but each page will pay homage to a different kids illustration book #like one page will resemble goodnight moon one will resemble i love you forever etc etc #but i wanted to do smth for it in the meantime so i made some lil sketches to kind of get the vibe across #ultimately i want it to evoke both the idea of rapunzel where this girl's mother is not what she should be and also red riding hood inverse #where the wolf does take the place of the mother but the girl lets him because her mother was the real monster #and sometimes the wolf is better #tcp #napowrimo #my art
