Alex Albon: Williams driver says ‘you need to be a fighter to be a driver’

Alex Albon knows what it's like to think he's at the end of the road.

"You're right on that mental edge of panic and worry," he says. "I sat on that worry for so long that you start to not care. You can't panic forever. You can't worry about it forever.

"And I think: 'Well, l've only got to give it my all. I've only got to put everything on the table.'

His story is one of resilience - of numerous knocks through his life from which he has drawn on remarkable reserves of self-belief to bounce back each time.

On his respiratory failure and being dropped from red bull:

"In terms of setbacks, it's a small one really," he says. "I've had very good doctors around me, who were in Italy, to get me back into a good place. I feel very fortunate."

Two years ago, it looked as though Albon's career was coming to an end before it had really got going.

The decision was tough to take.

"I would be lying if I told you I didn't expect it," Albon says. "I felt like I didn't perform that season. I knew there was a strong chance of it happening.

"I had dreamed of being in F1 since I was four years old, almost completely obsessed with it. You inevitably hit this heartbreak where it is like, almost: 'OK, is this the end? And you've only spent two years in it.'

"It's a brutal business - and how quickly everything came about. It was a true fast-track from Toro Rosso into one of the very top teams in the sport and then out. And it was like: 'Wow, OK. It did hit me hard, as it would anyone."

Albon's voice falters as he talks, and his eyes well up a little.

"I remember the meeting," he says. "I remember everything as clear as day. And I have to say, first, I have a very strong network of people. My family. My friends. And people around me that you see today.

"Very quickly, I was back to work. I was in the simulator very early in January. 'OK, what's my job, how am I going to get back into F1?' And I kind of had a goal and a plan to do that.

"I would say I want F1 more than any other driver. Everyone will say that. But I genuinely believe it. And I knew I had to really do what it takes, in a way that was quite strange because I can't actually prove myself. It was almost like, what can you do without driving the car?"

On 2012:

This was far from the first setback of Albon's career. For many years, he had struggled to keep things on track.

Born to a British father - former racing driver Nigel Albon - and a Thai mother, he'd been a Red Bull-backed driver early in his career, but lost their support after an indifferent season in Formula Renault in 2012, caused by a major personal upheaval.

His mum Kankamol - with whom he is particularly close - was jailed for fraud, leaving a 15-year-old Albon to look after his younger brother and three sisters.

He still doesn't like to talk about it. But in the first series of Netflix's Drive to Survive series, he admitted it was "by far the hardest year l've had in my life", recalling how he "saw her get locked up and taken away".

Albon says now the difficult road "helped" when it came to rebuilding his career. "It's just because l've gone through it," he says.

"I've had it before, personal stuff, as well as I had it in Formula Renault, where I wasn't going to race the year after and we scrambled along and pretty much got a budget together within, like, two weeks of the first race.

On his personality and determination:

In person, Albon is modest and unassuming. It's hard to square such an apparently gentle character with the steel he must have required to get where he has.

"The general public get me wrong," he says. "They think I'm this happy-go-lucky kid constantly, and that I'm not hungry; maybe too nice.

"They will never see the fiery side because they don't have a headset. They don't listen to me when I'm driving. I am naturally quite happy. I do love what I do. It's the reason why I wanted to be in F1 so much. And I felt like I've learnt to enjoy and relax about it. But you definitely need a fiery side if you want to be in F1."

I tell him that what got him to this point seems more like steel than fire, and he says: "It's both. It's the resilience and at the same time it's determination.

"As a driver, you almost need to be a fighter. When you have a helmet on, you're fighting other drivers. And I am fired up. I really am not a nice person when I have my helmet on. Speak to the engineers here and they'll tell you that."

On fighting for his return to the grid:

Albon's answer was to throw himself into work behind the scenes with Red Bull. There were weeks, he says, when he would spend six days out of seven in their simulator.

He prepared a data sheet that proved, he said, his results at Red Bull were better than the general perception and "well in line with the people who I took over from or replaced me".

Albon said they showed the 2020 car "wasn't that easy".

At the Austrian Grand Prix in July 2021, he met Williams chief executive officer Jost Capito and gave him the data as he made a pitch for the drive. The sheet, he told Capito, "showed not just what I can bring but also on a pure performance side, I'm a good driver and you should take me".

Williams knew they would need a replacement for Russell, who was being promoted to Mercedes for 2022. In the background, Russell was making Albon's case to the team.

"He played a part for sure," Albon says of his close friend. "He got my name on the map.

"I've raced against George for a lot of my career and I'm in a very thankful position where he does respect or believe in my ability. He did mention my name a few times to Jost and the board; I joked about it but it is true, almost a bit too much, to the point where they said they wouldn't listen to him!"

Marko and Red Bull team principal Christian Horner also weighed in for Albon. "I know that they both also convinced Jost to take me," he says. "I'm sure - I know - that they also told Jost the job that I was doing.

On his support system and marketing:

Outside the car, Albon has revamped his support structure, taking on a manager, and forming a new relationship with a performance coach.

With them, he says he can "talk about offloading marketing stuff as much as I can".

Williams have turned Albon's distaste for marketing activities into a bit of a running joke on their social media channels. He smiles and agrees, but adds: "It's a genuine thing. There is a lot of noise in F1 and I think I most probably got caught up in it a bit too much in 2020. There was a lot of firing going on and I was trying to avoid all the bullets.

"Red Bull were very good to me and were trying to help me and support me, but having that circle around me has allowed me to really focus on the driving side - the thing that I really like.

"I'm much more of a quy who is comfortable with the engineers than in front of a TV camera and that kind of thing.

"With stuff like Daniel and Oscar, to be able to drive with so much talk going around, it's not an easy thing to do," he says. "I think as a rookie, even in 2020, I wish I could tell myself the stuff I know now. But you can't, so hindsight is a wonderful thing."

On 2022:

His performances have been so good it's almost as if Williams have lost Russell and replaced him with the same driver. Albon's advantage over team-mate Nicholas Latifi is almost identical to the one Russell had.

Albon says his focus right from the start at Williams was getting himself back to being the driver he always believed he could be.

"I had a vision of the areas I wanted to work on from back in 2020," he says. "I was like, 'OK, I want to fix my areas almost first and really understand. I've got to get comfortable with the team and all that kind of thing.'

"That's almost slightly separate to the performance of the car and where it was at. I've got to look at myself and really... I wouldn't even call it shake off the rust, but really focus on my development."

In the end, all this introspection and hard work has paid off.

"I can only say that I feel comfortable," Albon says. "I feel confident in the car. I feel confident with myself in the team and I know for a fact that I'm driving better than I did in 2020.

"If I look at it almost selfishly, independently, I feel like the year has gone as good as I could have hoped for."

He hopes, he says, he has proved a point.

Slept a solid eight hours. Feel slightly heavy in my head. Hurts behind my left eye. Franny is awake washing the dishes from last night. We had Alisha and Beth round for tea. It was really nice but I was shrekking so hard in the middle. Just felt really sick towards to end of the afternoon. Met Beth for a cup of tea and a cookie in the morning, I enjoyed the gym beforehand.

Decided to write this morning before going to the gym. Generally feeling ok. The sun is really nice today. It looks like it will be a nice day. Marching for Palestine today. Think it'll be a big one.

Shallon Lester needs to be held accountable

If you’re wondering who she is. Shallon Lester is a YouTuber who makes videos of celebrities whether it be relationships or other stuff in general. She’s also MTV personality and may have connection with some celebrities but not all. I discovered Shallon when a video was recommended for me and it was about the Khloe/Tristan/Jordyn that went down last year. She talks about how Khloe should’ve been aware whom she was dating and how the kardashians treated Jordyn wasn’t ok. I didn’t watch the whole video because she began degrading Jordyn Woods. I can’t remember the exact thing she said but it was basically Khloe is the beautiful one like Jordyn is not. I see this as being racist.

Khloe has done a lot of surgery on herself from her face to her butt even she denies it, it’s clear that she has done surgery. Jordyn however it doesn’t seem like she has ever done any surgery on herself just lost weight naturally. The kardashians and also the Jenners are known for profiting off of black culture and they are obsessed to look like a black woman. They deny this but there’s so many proof like how Kim uses a foundation that doesn’t match her skin tone. They are blackfishing and people like Shallon see them as ‘beautiful’ and even praise them but degrade and hate on a real black woman who has all these features that the kardashians and other white insta models are trying to steal. Because of white supremacy Black girls were taught not to love themselves and their mind were poisoned into believing that European beauty standards was better. Flash forward to today and you got white girls pretending to be a black Woman for clout and get likes and followers.

I didn’t watch any of her other videos because she didn’t really peak my interest and especially after that video she made that I mentioned. A video that she made was recommended to me again and it was about why Scott Disick shouldn’t be dating Sofia Richie. She basically goes into detail as many people have said about why this relationship isn’t going to work out. The age difference, Sofia is 21 while Scott is 36 so there’s a 15 year gap between them, Scott has three kids with another woman and she mentioned his past. To be honest I don’t care much about age difference as long as both parties are in legal age and it’s consent. I find the relationship between Scott and Sofia not problematic as many trying to make it out like. He doesn’t drink that much as he used to and it seems like he cleaned up his act because of her. I don’t think Sofia pushed to change him, but I do think she’s the reason along with his kids he decided to get his shit together. Although girls that are Sofia’s age are still trying to figure out everything and relationship with older man can go different ways until they look back and realise there were a lot of red flags. There are girls like Sofia are actually mature for her age and they know it too. One of the celebrity couples I’ll give an example is Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall. When they met each other, Humphrey was 45 and Lauren was 19. The way Lauren carries herself shows that she’s mature person for someone her age. Although the age difference is quite big, the two got married, had two kids and stayed married until bogart’s death in 1957. So it can work for some but not all.

Many would agree on Shallon when talking about the age difference but she comes off as hypocritical. She doesn’t agree with an older man dating a younger woman but is ok with an older woman dating a younger man. Her defense was younger women become sexually traumatised but apparently younger men aren’t going to share the same experience. This becomes more uncomfortable when funding out that she made tweets about Justin Bieber about having sex dreams with him in it. The tweet that was made in 2010, she was 25 and he was only 16. Why is a 25 year old woman tweeting on having sex dreams about a child. It’s creepy and disgusting.

When she talks about certain celebrities or even certain topics, majority of the time she acts like she knows what she’s talking about. It’s the way she says make you believe that everything she said 100% accurate to the point where it feels like she’s manipulating you. It seems like she considers herself as a physiology and has even try to diagnose celebrities based on what she has heard despite not being accurate. Her latest video is about Ellen DeGeneres and how to spot a psychopath. In video, she goes straight to Ellen and her marriage with Porsche by saying that Ellen was mean to her wife and refused to give her a baby. She says this is allegedly as what she has heard, but Portia on other hand said she doesn’t mind not having kids. The way she tries to self-diagnosis Ellen to see if she has psychopaths tendency and even try to compare Ellen to Adolf Hitler because they both love animals. I love animals does that mean I’m Hitler. It’s so weird and just ridiculous.

She tackles on another serious topic like Mental Health and suicide by making video about Pete Davidson. The video is titled “Ariana Grande & Pete Davidson: how beta males manipulate women”. There was certain time when Pete wasn’t in a good place. He deleted all of his social media accounts but before doing that he wrote a statement which appear to be a suicide note. Everyone was worried about his well-being. Pete has been about his mental health issues and how he suffers from Borderline Personallty Disorder and sometimes have suicidal thoughts. Shallon doesn’t like Pete because he’s not doing anything to fix his mental disorder. What Shallon is doing is victim-blaming and very insensitive as well. You can’t be fix in way as what she is implying there’s no cure for mental health. The only that Pete can do is seek treatment. People with BPD can get treatment but it’s not something that can be cured. She talked about where Pete did an interview with Charlemagne the god. It doesn’t seem like she even watched the video, because she sees Pete going to rehab or getting help in order to get more drugs. She also thinks that people suffering from BPD can’t seek treatment because it’s not something you can get treated because it’s part of your personality. This is so ignorant and incredibly harmful.

She mentions how in the interview Pete Davidson says he use to cut himself and how Charlemagne didn’t asked them in that when he actually did which shows that she didn’t watch the video at all. She also doesn’t think he goes to therapy when he actually does. Like she did with the Ellen DeGeneres video, she thinks him having bipolar disorder and even BPD is connected to his mother and sister. Like something bad happened in the family household. He lost his father due to 9/11 so he probably suffered from loss and trauma, But it’s not the way she’s implying at all. It’s like she’s saying he can’t have good and stable relationship with his mum and sister because he has a mental disorder. The way she talks about Pete shows how much she hates men who talk about their mental health issues. She is one of the reasons on why men have a hard time expressing their emotions and deciding to mental disorder they suffer from because it’s people like her whom are going shunned them and even said that they don’t deserve any love and happiness.

She also hates Selena Gomez and even calls Selena her “mortal enemy” even though Selena probably doesn’t know who she is. Her hatred towards Selena has to be an extend of her being attracted to Justin Bieber when he was 16. She says that she could help Selena and whatever issues that she’s battling but doesn’t want to because ‘Selena is annoying’. Imagine you going to therapy and telling your therapist how you been feeling and they says ‘I would love to help you but your annoying’. She says that if Selena dies from overdose than it’s our fault for not holding her accountable and says that Selena isn’t going to make it to 27. Her dying gets better. Which is completely disgusting and just insensitive. She says that Selena has bad tattoos and even though one of her tattoos is a semicolon that is located on her wrist. The semicolon actually means something very important which is a solidarity against suicide, depression and other mental health issues.

Overall Shallon Lester is a horrible white woman who doesn’t know what she’s talking about spreads false lies on people and does the harmful by trying to diagnose a person because you just don’t like them.

Summary - Charity is absolutely petrified she will be a awful mother so Myles tries to get her to relax.

Myles knew sometimes women had doubts about things like how they looked or silly things like that but today, Charity had been completely down and well not his Charity. He watched his pregnant fiancee just stare into space as if it was the most interesting thing to ever exist. He didn’t even know what to say to her to make her feel better. Her belly was becoming bigger and the baby was constantly kicking his or her mum. Myles watched Charity as she absent-mindedly rubbed her stomach, the world was on her shoulders.

The previous night they had been at a event and a woman had left her young child unattended and the child got something stuck in their throat and was rushed straight to the hospital and Charity was having all sorts of fears in the head. She knew the woman didn’t mean for her child to end up in the ER but it made Charity think. What if she accidentally left the baby unattended and something bad happened. She was swimming in a whirl of doubts and worries as she sat there, she couldn’t sit still at all, it was clearly taking its toll on her because she was worrying so much.

Myles just watched her, he was helpless when she was unhappy and anxious like this. Sometimes, calling her sister to try and rationalise things for her would work but that was out the question, given the fact that her sister was away and in a different time zone. The more he watched her, the more her heart broke, he knew what she was like and knowing her as well as he did, he knew she would be going through irrational scenarios that hadn’t even happened yet and he knew her sub-conscious would be telling her she would make a awful mother. It was just scary how much she worried but she knew that she would be a loving mother to the baby.

Charity stood up, waddling to the window, opening it as she took a breath of the summer air. “What if the baby is born and they are nursing and I ... I don’t know manage to make them choke” Charity asked, her voice panicked. She was playing with her necklace, and she was so anxious to the point she couldn’t physically relax.

Myles walked across to where she was, her long dark hair was in a ponytail that was falling out, she was wearing a oversized cardigan, she looked exhausted and she looked as if she hadn’t slept too well. He rubbed her shoulders softly, pressing a soft kiss to the top of her head. “No mum can be perfect, Charity” He murmured and she considered his words, maybe there was no such thing as the perfect mother but there were such things as mothers who weren’t good enough.

Charity put her hand on his and she rested her head into his shoulder, she rubbed her eyes tiredly and took a deep shaky breath and Myles held her close. Charity closed her eyes for a few moments before she reopened them. “But what if I accidentally hold the baby wrong and I hurt them, that would be on me, I just can’t even imagine how much guilt I would have if I hurt my baby” She spoke her voice cracking, her hormones weren’t helping. This pregnancy was turning her into a total wreck and she knew it. Myles knew it too.

“But you won’t hurt the baby, and if there was a accident, well they happen but you are worrying about those really irrational, awful situations that are probably not going to happen” He spoke softly as he rubbed her shoulders, he wished that he could take away those awful thoughts, he sighed and turned her around, pulling her close. Her head rested in his shoulder as she took a deep breath, the constant worry was causing her to have a awful headache, she really wanted to just curl up and cry, her emotions all over the shot. Boone walked over to them and he whimpered, nuzzling into Charity’s leg softly, sitting at their feet. He could tell she was worried and clearly wanted to try and cheer her up.

“I know I need to relax and let go of all these worries and fears, but as a mother, a expectant mother, I’m sure many women in my shoes worry and they feel completely helpless and useless” She spoke and Myles pressed a soft and sweet kiss to her forehead, guiding her over to the sofa, Boone following them the whole time. Myles sat her on the sofa, he wrapped the blanket he got her earlier in the morning around her, and he leaned over and helped her lay down before sitting on the coffee table. He stared into her eyes, just wanting to take away all her doubt, to be able to give some advice that would just allow her to let go of those pre-natal terrors she was putting herself through.

“I know its hard for you but you need to let go of those worries, because I knew for a fact that you will be a amazing mum. I know for a fact that this baby inside here” he paused, his hand resting over hers that rested on her bump. “This baby in here is lucky to have you as his or her mum” He continued, as she yawned. He kissed her gently before he stroked her hair. “Try rest, you and the baby need it” he gently stroked her hair.

“Stay with me” She whispered, sitting up, as she yawned, and he got behind her, gently laying her down and readjusting the blanket and he leans down kissing her. “Just let go, and rest, everything will be ok” His words were low like a lullaby and she slowly drifted off to sleep, feeling safe in his arms.

Summary:

Lila had won. She had officially turned everyone against her, even Adrien, leaving Marionette heartbroken. Now she's perfect prey for Hawk Moth but not everyone believes Lila's lies. The Couffaines are still on Marionette's side. Especially Luka and it hurts him to see her so upset, especially since it's been caused by Lila and her so called friends but he'll change. He'll make them sorry for hurting her or they can all suffer in silence....

Notes:

I just had to try out writing Silencer. He is awesome. This is set after Desperda and Silencer and is based on the Episode Ladybug. Also like Stormy Weather in Stormy Weather 2, Silencer is more powerful. He still has the power to steal and use voices but he can also use sound as a weapon and nullify it too. The Akuma is in his guitar and he still talks with his hands (because i think that's cute)

Marionette didn't bother wiping away the tears that slid down her face. She was too hurt to care. Lila had finally done it. She had turned everyone against her. Alya, Nino... everyone. Even Adrien hadn't tried to help her, despite the fact that he knew that Lila was a liar. Like everyone else, he had betrayed her. The worst part was part of what Lila had said had been true. She was a terrible friend. She was constantly abandoning her friends so she could play hero and when Adrien was around, she was even worst. She couldn't think clearly and she hurt people. A prime example of this was Luka. She had completely disregarded him as soon as Adrien turned up. She frowned to herself as more sorrow swallowed her up. Right now, she was perfect prey for an Akuma but she didn't care, Hell, she'd welcome the little butterfly if it meant for a few minutes she couldn't feel this pain. She had even taken out her earring rings. A soft knock on her trap door pulled her from her thoughts before her mum came in.

"Honey..." She whispered, frowning as she saw how broken Marionette looked. "You have a friend here to see you,"

"What friend?" She asked bitterly, making her mother frown. "I don't have any left,"

"That's not true," The familiar voice of Luka Couffaine caught her by surprise. She jolted up, completely taken back as he climbed into her room. He looked amazing as usual. His hood was down and he had his guitar on his back. He shot her a kind smile. "Jules told me what happened so I thought I'd come by to see you,"

"T-thank you, Luka," She sighed before lying back down. "But you don't need to pretend,"

"Pretend?" He questioned before shaking his head. "I'm not pretending. I don't hate you and neither does my sister, Marionette,"

She sighed and frowned, looking at him. He took off his guitar and walked over to her, placing his hand on her shoulder as he looked at her with loving eyes. Marionette couldn't help the blush that rushes across her face. Despite all she had done to him, Luka was still here, looking at her like she was the most important girl in the world. She jumped when Sabine cleared her throat.

"I'll go get you two some drinks and cookies," She smiled, shooting it towards Luka as if to say Thank you. Luka smiled back before turning his attention to Marionette.

"I meant what I said the other day, Marionette. You really are the song playing in my head," He smiles softly before lightly wiping her tears away. "I hate seeing you hurting like this,"

She looked down.

"I deserve to," She muttered, making him frown. "Lila was right, Luka. I'm a terrible friend. Just look how I treated you when Adrien actually made it to band practice. I completely disregarded you twice. I should have told Jagged to pick you but-"

"Marionette, it's ok. I know how you feel about Adrien," He smiles softly.

"Felt," She corrected, making him frown in a confused manner. "He didn't even bother to stick up for me today. He knows Lila's a liar and he didn't even try to help..."

"I'm sorry," He muttered, frowning.

"Why are you sorry?" She asked, confused. "You don't need to apologize for anything. You're perfect- I mean-"

He chuckled softly as Sabine knocked on the door again. He got up and opened it, taking the tray off her.

"Thank, Mrs DuPan-Chang," He smiled kindly before placing them on the desk as she went back down. He picked up his guitar and slowly began to play as Marionette slowly sat up and wiped her eyes. She still felt hurt, angry and betrayed but at least, she had Luka on her side. She picked up a cookie and slowly nibbled it as he played his guitar softly. He glanced over at her and smiled as she met his gaze but then his eyes widen in fear as he saw a black butterfly. Marionette saw his expression change before she saw the butterfly. She screamed as it flew over to her, screwing her eyes up in process but nothing happened. She slowly opened her eyes and gasped as she saw why she hadn't changed. Luka was leaning over her with his eyes screwed closed. The area around his eyes were red and he looked like he was in pain. Even worst, his guitar was black. Marionette almost started to cry again as she realized he had taken the Akuma for her. Slowly, his eyes opened before the black ink completely took over his form, transforming him into Silencer once more. Marionette stared in shock as he flipped the guitar on his back before he cupped her face lightly with one hand and lifted his other.

"I won't let them get away with this," He stated with his hands before he suddenly jumped out the window. Marionette rushed over but he was already gone.

"No... no!" She gasped before grabbing the ear rings and putting them back in. Tikki groaned softly as she appeared before blinking.

"Marionette?" She questioned.

"Tikki... I can't let him do this because of me. I know i just keep on hurting people but he took an akuma for me!" She cried, confusing Tikki.

"Wait... who did?"

"L-Luka!" She gasped, tears streaming down her face. Tikki gasped in shock before nodding. "T-Tikki... spots on!"

Silencer jumped across the roofs til he came to the house of Alya Cesaire. As it happened, Nino was also there. He silently slipped in before carefully creeping up on her older sister. Before she could even react, he had his fingers to her lips.

"Sshh," He pressed his free finger to his lips. She gasped and coughed up her voice before gasping. He held his hand to his ear as if to hear and her voice zoomed to him. Alya's older sister went to swing at him but he ducked and grabbed his guitar, using it to hit her with a sonic wave, knocking her out. He smirked, moving her out of view before lifting his hand.

"Alya! Can you come here?" He asked in her sister's voice.

"Coming," She shouted back. He moved behind the door. She walked in, looking at her phone as she did. "What's up?"

"I need to ask you something," He replied, in her sister's voice. She turned around and gasped before he placed his fingers to her lips. "Sshhh,"

She went to shout out but coughed up her voice instead. He mimicked his previous action, stealing her voice too. She ducked underneath him but he merely turned around and followed her with his hands up.

"Alya, Nino!" He sung in her voice as he walked into the living room. Nino instantly moved in front of his girlfriend.

"Luka?" He gasped. "You- you've been akumatized,"

"Luka isn't here anymore. Only Silencer," He replied in Alya's voice. "But I won't hurt you if you apologize to Marionette,"

"Apologize?" Nino questioned. "What for? She's the one who lied to us, Luka!"

"Lies!" He snarled, shocking both of them before tilting his head. "If you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all,"

He went to place his fingers on Nino's lip but a yoyo wrapped itself around his wrist and pulled him back. He looked over and saw Ladybug on the window seal. He tilted his head to the side.

"I don't want your voice, bug," He stated.

"Don't do this," She reasoned. "This isn't the right way to help Marionette. You know she wouldn't want this,"

"They won't listen to her so I'll take their voices from them!" He states in Alya's voice. "At least then they can't lie about her,"

He generally looked like he meant every word and Ladybug knew he did but then he pulled his arm, yanking him to her. However, he didn't move to steal her voice or her earrings and caught her. A blush crept it's way on her face as he stared at him but naturally, Nino ruined the moment. He grabbed a lamp and went to smash it over Silencer's head. Silencer pushed Ladybug out of the way and flipped his guitar so it was in his hands before striking the strings, sending a sonic wave of noise across the room. It knocked Nino to the ground and Silencer once again slipped out the window. Despite the pain they had caused her, Ladybug helped Nino up. She was still a hero after all.

"Don't worry. I'll stop him," She smiles wearily, turning to leave but Nino grabbed her arm.

"I can help you," He states but she shakes her head.

"No. I appreciate it but having you there might make things worst. He seems pretty pissed at you," She states, making Nino frown. "Are you sure your Marionette was lying by the way? I know it isn't my business but she seemed like she just wants to help people,"

Before he could answer, she climbed out the window and headed to the rooftops.

Silencer landed on the roof of the houseboat before lowering himself down and walking into the living room. Rose, Ivan and Juleka were all there and it appeared al three of them were talking. Silencer cleared his throat, making them all gasp and look at him.

"Jules. I need to know who started these lies about Marionette," He stated, using Alya's voice.

"You're not going to steal my voice are you?" She gasped, clearly frightened.

"You're my sister," He stated. "I would never steal your voice. Rose and Ivan, on the other hand,"

He turned and glared at them, causing Rose to squeal and hide behind Ivan as he stalked over.

"Luka, don't!" Juleka gasped, moving in front of them. "I know you want to protect Marionette but they don't hate her. I swear they're on her side!"

"Then why weren't they there for her?! Why didn't they stick up for her?!" He states. "She almost got akumatized. She's in pain, Jules. Her so called friends turned against her. Well, they d-"

"We don't believe the rumors!" Rose suddenly speaks up, surprising him. "We tried to stand up for her but no one listened to us!"

He narrowed his eyes before lifting his hand.

"Who started all of this?" He asked.

"Lila Rossi," Ivan spoke up. "I don't know her address but she works for the Agrestes,"

"Thank you," Silencer grinned before leaving, Juleka let out a breathe of relief as Ladybug jumped down onto Deck. She saw her and rushed out.

"Ladybug!" She gasped, getting her attention. "My brother... he's bee-"

"Akumatized. I know," She nods. "Are you guys ok? He didn't steal your voices, did he?"

"No," Ivan replied. She let out a sigh of relief before swinging her yoyo. "Wait, we know where he's going,"

"And who he's after," Rose added in, making Ladybug stop.

"Who?"

"He's going to the Agrestes and he's after a girl called Lila Rossi," Juleka explained, causing Ladybug to mentally groan. It was bad enough that she was tracking him alone as Cat Noir was nowhere to be seen but now she had to face the one person who could have helped her and failed to do so. "She started these horrible rumors about a friend of his and he's determined to punish everyone who believed it. We were only spared because we don't believe her,"

"You don't?" Ladybug asked with genuine surprise.

"Of course not!" Rose gasped. "Marionette is our friend and she's helped us with so much. We love her,"

Ladybug's heart filled with joy at those words.

"Ok. Don't worry. I'll save Luka,"

~At Agrestes' Manor~

Silencer slipped into the manor before using his guitar to knock out the bodyguard before slipping into Adrien's room. Adrien was leaning over his computer as Silencer walked over to him. He lightly tapped him on his shoulder. Adrien turned around. As soon as he did, Silencer pressed his fingers to his lips and captured his voice before lifting his hand.

"I know what you did to Marionette," He stated in his own voice. "She believed you were her friend and when it mattered, you weren't there for her. Now you will never speak again or hear again,"

Adrien looked confused but Luka strumbed his guitar. Instantly, all sound disappeared to Adrien, causing him to fall as he tried to shout. Silencer turned on his heel and walked out.

"Father? Where are you?" He asked in Adrien's voice.

"Your father's out at the moment," A woman replied, causing Silencer to look her direction.

"Oh, ok," He replied.

"What is you wanted?"

"I was going to ask if he was going to see Lila today," He stated, walking into the office.

"Oh yeah. She'll be at the park at 4pm," She replied, typing. "Not that he'll actually turn up,"

"That's ok. I just need your voice to talk to her," He stated, making her spin on her chair and turn round. Instantly, he stole her voice before thanking her with it. She tried to shout as he walked off. A few seconds later, Ladybug rushes in and rushed over to her. She pointed to her throat before gasping silently and rushing to Adrien's room. He was still dealing with the loss of his voice and hearing.

"Are you ok?" Ladybug gasped but he didn't hear her and tried to say what. She frowned before helping him to his bed. "Just stay here!"

With that, she rushed out the window and flew off to chase Silencer.

~The Park~

Silencer frowned to himself as he hid behind a tree. There was a lone girl sat on the bench, waiting for someone. That had to be Lila but he needed to be sure.

"Lila?" He asked in Adrien's voice, causing her to look up.

"Adrien?" She replied, frowning as she looked for him. "Where are you?"

"Over here by the trees," He replied, causing her to get up and walk over to him.

"I can't see you," She pouted before catching a glance at him. Fear filled her eyes as he stepped out. "You're not Adrien!"

"No, I'm Silencer and I'm here to put an end to your nasty little lies," He stated in Alya's voice. She turned on her heel and went to run but he grabbed his guitar and strumbled it, knocking her down with a sonic wave before sending another one to knock her out.

~ The Top of the Eiffel Tower~

"Wakey, wakey," He stated, using Adrien's voice. Lila slowly opened her eyes before trying to move but found she was tied up onto a chair. The wind blew through her hair as she looked around. Fear filled her heart as she realized she was on the edge of the top of the eiffel tower. "It's a long way down, Lila so I wouldn't struggle too much,"

"What do you want?" She gasped.

"For you to admit that you lied about Marionette," He states in Alya's voice.

"I didn't lie! It's not my fault that she's so jealous of me! She's mean and horrible!" She cried fake tears. "She wouldn't even let me sit at the front of the class despite that I have tinnitus in my right ear!"

"Juleka told me you said it was in your left ear," He stated, before resting his hand on the edge of the chair. "And that it got cured so suddenly so you could sit next to a boy in your class,"

"It c-came back!" She gasped, looking to her left. "W-wait... you know Jeluka? You know I broke her photo curse right?"

"No," He stated a little too calm. "Marionette did. Not you,"

"No, no. Marionette lied about-"

"Then tell me how you broke it,"

"Well, I knew a photographer and we got him to t-"

"Lies!" He snarled, making her jump. "Juleka told me herself that it was Marionette and how she went out of way to make sure she was in the photo and even took photos with her after school!"

"B-but-"

"Are you calling my sister a liar!?" He didn't just sound annoyed. He was livid. Lila shook her head and shut her mouth. He stepped back, bringing his guitar down."I think you deserve to be punished for all those lies you say!"

He went strum the strings but Ladybug knocked him down before landing in front of him.

"Oh Ladybug! I just knew you would come to rescue me! This psychopath was planning to torture me-"

"Shut up, Lila," Ladybug stated before turning to Luka. "Luka please. Give me your guitar. I don't want to fight you,"

"I'm sorry, Ladybug but she deserves this!" He growls before strumming his strings. Lila suddenly cries out in shock.

"I can't hear!" She shouts, looking terrified. Ladybug looked at him shocked before turning back to him. "Help me, Ladybug!"

"I can take her voice too. She'll never be able to tell another lie about Marinette," He states as he walks over to her.

"Luka..." She whispers before shaking her head. "This isn't right! This isn't justice. It's vengeance and Marinette wouldn't want this! I know she wouldn't! I'm sorry I have to stop you! Lucky Charm!"

A mirror appeared out of thin air and she caught it, confused as usual. Before she could think about, Silencer strummed his guitar, causing her to jump out the way off his sonic attack before they charged at each other, fight. She avoided his attacks before jumping out and grabbing the mirror as Lila screamed loudly, distracting Silencer for a minute as he took away her voice. She looked at it and looked around. He lit up in red and black before she looked back at the mirror, causing it to light up. She placed it against an area where he would be able to see his reflection before she attacked him, moving him there before she suddenly stopped, confusing him. He grabbed his guitar and went to attack her but stopped when he caught his reflection.

"Music is everything to you. Do you really want to use it to hurt people?" She asked as he stared at his reflection. She walked over. "Is this who you really are, Luka? Are you really villain? Because I don't think you are and I know Marinette thinks of you as a great person,"

For a second, he saw himself as Viperion again and then as himself before it turned back to Silencer. Ladybug held her breath as he could literally turn around and steal her voice but to her surprise, he took off his guitar and handed it to her. She took and slammed it against the wall, allowing the akuma to escape.

"No more evil-doing for you, little akuma," She stated, lowering her yoyo before spinning it. "Time to de-evilize!"

She caught the butterfly in it and it closed around it.

"Gotcha!" She gasped, catching her yoyo before tapping it and freeing the now purified butterfly. "Bye-bye, little butterfly,"

The black ink returned and restored Luka and his guitar back to normal as she picked up the mirror as he blinked.

"Ladybug?" He questioned before his eyes went wide. "Oh no! Marinette! She's gonna-"

"No... she's ok. You took the akuma for her, which was really amazing and brave of you," She smiled but Lila screamed, causing Luka to look over at her, slightly confused. Despite his confusion, he put two and two together as to who the girl was. Ladybug shook her head, not noticing Luka take out his phone and filming Lila, struggling to break free and screaming about she couldn't hear.

"Miraculous Ladybug!" She shouted out as she threw it up. Instantly, lots of red bugs flew around Paris, restoring voices and hearing to Silencer's victims as Luka looked around confused and putting Lila back in the park. She walked over to Luka and helped him up as he slipped his phone away.

"Thank you," He smiled.

"You're welcome," She states. "But you should get to your friend. I'm sure she's worried about you so you should get back. I can-"

A beeping noise suddenly alerted her.

"I'm sorry. I have to go. Are you ok getting back to your friend on your own?"

"Yes. I am," He replied, smiling. "Thank you Ladybug,"

She smiled back before throwing her yoyo and swinging off into the city. It didn't take her long to get to the bakery but soon as she landed, she turned back into Marinette and caught a drained out Tikki, who weakly opened her eyes.

"Did we save him?" She asked as Marinette climbed down into her room and gave her a macaron.

"Yes we did," She states as Tikki ate it. She couldn't help but smile as she heard the door to the bakery open. She rushed downstairs and into the bakery as Luka held his knees and caught his breathe. "Luka!"

She rushed over and hugged him, surprising him.

"God, I was so afraid!" She cried out. "Why did you do that?!"

"I couldn't let you become like the people who hurt you," He stated, looking to the side as a blush went across his face. "You're too pure and kind to be akumatized,"

"Luka..." She gasped, blushing. "Please... don't do anything like that again!"

He looked at her shocked as tears began to flow down her face as she thought how she could have lost him. She hated fighting him as Silencer.

"Please, don't cry Marinette!" He gasped, thinking she was upset. "I didn't mean to hurt -"

"You didn't. I'm not upset. I'm relieved that you're ok!" She gasped, wiping her eyes. Luka smiled at her softly as she took his hand and dragged upstairs. He followed her. Tikki kept hidden but Marinette took a deep breathe as she locked the door and closed her curtains.

"Luka... I need you to promise me that I can trust you," She stated. He took her hands and smiled softly.

"You have my word, Marinette. I will never betray you," He stated, truthfully.

"I'm going to tell you a secret that no one else knows. This is why I always have to run off or why I make terrible excuses..." She mutter before walking over to Tikki and gently picking her up. Tikki gave her a look. "I trust him,"

She wasn't suppose to tell anyone but Luka had stuck by her side, tried to cheer her up, protected her and even took an Akuma for her. He had earnt the right to know. Tikki nodded, giving her approval before  faced him. She took a deep breathe.

"Tikki! Spots on!"

~The Next Day~

"Wow, I can't believe Ladybug chose you to wear the Bee Miraculous," Alix stated as they walked out of the school with Alya, Nino and Adrien. Lila grinned at the attention.

"Of course, she did. Me and Ladybug are super close and I totally helped her take down Silencer. If I hadn't paralysed him, she would have been-"

"Funny. That's not how I remember it going down," A voice stated, gaining everyone's attention. Leaning against the wall was Luka, clearly waiting for someone. Probably his sister. Adrien couldn't meet his gaze and Alya gulped in slightly fear but Lila grinned.

"You were akumatized so you couldn't possibly remember-"

"True but I do remember after Ladybug caught my akuma and you were still tied up on top of the eiffel tower, screaming about not been able to hear," He states, rolling his eyes. Lila snorted, clearly not believing him.

"Prove it then,"

"Ok," He states, pulling out his phone and playing the video he made. Lila's eyes went wide as she heard herself screaming that she couldn't hear. Luka didn't say a thing as the other students watched the video before moving his eyes toward the exit of the building as Marinette came out with Ivan, Rose and Juleka. She saw him and instantly waved as he turned off the video.

"You lied," Alya stated as Nino frowned. Lila gasped and held up her hands.

"It's not like that!" She states. "He's out to get me because of Marinette!"

"Nah," Luka smirks. "That would be Vengeance. Not justice and honestly, you're just not worth my time,"

He chuckled as she gaped at him before walking over to his friends. He moved his arm around Marinette's shoulders and lightly kissed, shocking everyone. Marinette smiled into the kiss before gently pulling and linking her hand with his.

"Come on! You've got a new song to write,"

Spyfall Part 2

Yay part 2! I’m so ready. Give me more.

While on my lunch break at work today, I nearly opened tumblr on my phone. Then I realized it was after 2pm so the episode was currently airing in Britain. I could have been spoiled if I hadn’t stopped myself. 

I see the Doctor is still talking to herself. Old habits die hard. “Don’t panic.” Love Hitchhiker’s Guide. “RYAN.” HUH “RYAN SINCLAIR?” WHAT? This is reminding me of something... what am I being reminded of... BLINK MAYBE??? YES THIS IS JUST LIKE “SALLY SPARROW DUCK NOW.” THIS IS BLINK. IS THIS BLINK? BECAUSE THIS IS BLINK. ...Who in the world is this lady... “Obviously I’m a recording and can’t hear you.” THIS IS BLINK. Also this is throwing shade at Blink with the “Obviously” part...  It is his TARDIS!!!! IT’S A TARDIS. THE HOUSE IS A TARDIS. THE FANS WERE RIGHT. At first, I wasn’t sure if it was a TARDIS or just the Master making a joke by having the house fly by them. But nope, IT’S A TARDIS. I literally screamed “IT’S A TARDIS” out loud. “Magic Apparrating Man! Lady. Apparrating Lady! Every time...” That made my dad laugh. But I mean, 1100 years at least of being a man, not counting the 4 billion years in the confession dial. It takes getting used to. Marooned in the past. Chibnall, I really hate to say this, but this is becoming a little too similar to Blink. Just because of the being trapped in the past and leaving messages for the present thing. The lace bonnet had looked super.... weird in the other realm. In a cool way. A way that made me wonder what material it was made of and if she was really from the mid 1800s or if she was just an alien with clothing that imitated the style. Because the way the lace glowed was cool. Also. Why does Ada seem familiar to me? OH NO. Lol. “O no.” I didn’t even do that on purpose. That face she made as she realized the Master’s not in control was such a Doctor face. “Ada, I really do not approve.” Aww Doctor. Never change. I like the old lady taking a picture with an iPad. Yaz calling her mom is a very Martha move and I approve. The Silver Lady was in the Master’s TARDIS.... “From his master” oh ok. “Multiple time periods” OOoohhhhh. Not multiple Earth dimensions then. I was gonna say that I was thinking of Weeping Angels earlier in the day today... I’m not saying these are Weeping Angels... but getting the vibes from the time travel and pulling people in and out and stuff. Oh and I was right that they can transport people purposefully. Did I say that in the last post? I can’t remember. But when Yaz was transported last episode I was like “So they can transport people places?” and the answer is a definite yes, and also in time. Also. Ada Lovelace. I know that name... I know I know that name... “Deep breath” ok now I miss Twelve. Of course it’s WWII. This music reminds me of like... Star Wars... Something from the sequel trilogy sounds like this... or at least has this vibe... Also. I don’t know how I feel about an Indian man in a Nazi uniform. That just... they wouldn’t have let him do that, first of all. Second of all, can we not? These are all women so far that the Doctor is bumping into... And I feel like it’s meaningful... Why would he do that to his mom? Noor Khan, I feel like I DEFINITELY have heard of her. Important women in science? I’m guessing Ada was a mathematician I think, but I can’t really remember. “They promised us that a war on this scale would never happen again.” “This is not the first time?” Ugh. WWI and pre-WWI people finding out about WWII always hurts. IT’S THE DOCTOR DOING THE SOUND OF THE DRUMS. Just the sound of the drums gives me chills. Is this a Old Who thing? The mind reading? She said it was classic. “Not exactly the Aryan archetype.” THAT’S WHAT I WAS SAYING. OOoooooh a perception filter. So they think he’s white. Ok. Ok that’s better.

Also, I’m sorta glad they’re actually addressing race affecting time travel to different time periods. They didn’t do it with Martha enough/at all. They tried to do it with Bill, and I did appreciate the “History is a whitewash” and London being blacker than Bill thought it was, but because London was diverse it wasn’t really an issue (besides the racist the Doctor punched). But I’m glad this is an actual situation where being another race is genuinely DANGEROUS since that’s how it was.

“Look after my mum” So is she not dead? Or is he mocking them? They can’t have destroyed Gallifrey again. He’s lying It was probably the Master himself that killed everyone if he’s not lying. “How else would I get your attention?” Awwww. That’s almost sweet. It’s sweet by Master standards ok. Ok... letting Nazis attack the Master... for being a spy... while he’s a person of color... is pretty harsh... Of course the Nazis can’t do much damage... And the Master did willing side with them to find the Doctor... But still... Very harsh... I guess after everything the Master has done... Maybe he deserves to be on the receiving end of racism since he hates humans so much... But still. “Forget you heard that word.... Otherwise I’ve just disrupted the whole of history. Again.” Doctor. Babe. Control yourself. Ok so it was people who were important in the development of computers in general. Cool cool cool. I appreciate that Ada and Noor were the ones the Doctor specifically bumped into. “You kept clicking agree” Yeah... yeah... he got us there. “This is like the Matrix” - My Dad. OH wow the Master came the long way round. 77 years. I’d almost say poor dude. Conversion!?!? NO. NOT CYBERMAN! IF THERE’S CYBERMEN THEN IS THIS A 3-PARTER?! “Oh.” “That’s your name.” HA. HA, good one Doctor. “I forgot the plane!” No you didn’t, Doctor. Don’t worry. You can do it anytime, as long as you do it at some point. “Are we being replaced?” Oh Graham. But also, I want the next companions to be from the past. See in Blink we didn’t get to see the Doctor setting everything up like we’re seeing it now. So that’s cool. Imagine if we had seen Martha standing behind the camera annoyed, then running around to say “I gotta support him!” That could have been fun. I think I just want more Martha in Blink. “The Fascists. Do they win?” “Never” Yeah I really hope not, but time is repeating itself. I guess it will also repeat them not winning. That’s sweet that the Doctor still wants her to know that computers are a thing because of Ada. And I appreciate that the show didn’t try to be like “She helped make computers because of the Doctor.” because no, she made them because she was always going to. Oh wow we’re going back to Gallifrey?? We haven’t been in a while. Been wondering if we would.

I didn’t write anything for the last few minutes because I’m just like... HUH.

First of all, I knew the Master did it. Called it.

Second of all. I was like “Oh no. The Doctor just got Gallifrey back, do we HAVE to take it away again? To make her angsty?” Then we heard the Master’s reason for destroying it and I was like ok maybe there’s justification.

Third of all. The Time Lords have always sucked. We’ve known this forever.  The Doctor has said that the Time Lords went wrong at the end of the Time War and that they choose to remember them in a good way and forget the ugly side. So we know the Time Lords suck. That’s not a surprise. What is it that they did that was so bad, the MASTER of all people felt the need to put an end to it? The Master. As in the little boy who was driven crazy because the Time Lords chose to put the Sound of the Drums in his head and use him as a weapon. He didn’t destroy Gallifrey then, so what could be worse than that? Do I even want to know? They’ll tell us, but I don’t know if I want to hear it. We might be going very dark this season...

Fourth of all, yay! They’re asking the Doctor questions and she’s answering! Yay! And Yaz asking “Can we go to your planet?” was the second Martha thing she did.

And fifth, yay! We’re probably getting an overarching theme this season! And maybe the Master isn’t completely evil, since everyone’s so worried about Missy’s redemption! He’s just hurt by what he found, felt he had to destroy Gallifrey, and is still upset about it. When he said the Timeless Child I literally said out loud “OH. OH ok so we’re really doing this then.” because I felt like all the predictions of the Timeless Child being involved were probably right... but not like this.

EPIPHANY. What if he really was just doing all this to get the Doctor’s attention? He wants the Doctor share the burden of the truth, but doesn’t know any other way to get her to listen besides do horrible things. What if he didn’t kill, plot, and plan just for the hell of it and maybe rub Gallifrey in the Doctor’s face, but the ultimate goal was to get that message to the Doctor so the Doctor could find out about Gallifrey.

Honestly I’m concerned about what it is that the Time Lords lied about. What did the Master mean by “who we are as a species” like... I’m scared.

Also halfway through the episode my mom came in (she’s super behind, as in she hasn’t even watched Capaldi’s seasons yet) and she said “You have to stop screaming ‘IT’S A TARDIS IT’S A TARDIS’ of course it’s a TARDIS that’s what she drives.” So apparently my mom heard my freak out over the Master’s TARDIS. She heard me screaming last episode too when I was jumping at the Master reveal.

Anyway. Sorta Blink-esque in that Ryan, Yaz, and Graham being saved is an endless loop if causing itself because of previously planted messages from the Doctor. But also, we got a mini history lesson, which was the point of Doctor Who in the first place. Gallifrey’s gone and apparently Time Lords suck, but what else is new. And we got the Master finding out the effect that race has in certain (or all) time periods. Hopefully the Master’s back soon. We really were spoiled rotten by Season 10 when they gave us Missy in like half of the episodes. I need more Master. Give me more Master.

Growing Pains. Part 4a

Louis shoved his school tie into his bag as he slipped out the side gate. He'd gotten his morning registration mark so no-one would know that he was bunking off to meet the lads from the party up at the rec.

"Didn't think you were coming." One of the lads said as Louis finally made himself known.

"I had to go to registration or they'll call my dad." Louis grumbled.

"That's shit." John replied.

"Yeh. Can't wait to be done with that shitty place in the summer." Louis sighed, sitting down on the swing.

"What you planning on doing then?"

"Fuck knows." Louis shrugged.

"You got some money with you like I said to?" Tony asked Louis.

"Got a tenner. All I could get."

"You ain't gunna get much with that." Tony rolled his eyes.

"Can't you go in your mum's handbag for some money?" John suggested.

"She ain't my mum." Louis muttered. "Its all I could get, alright!" He added sharply.

"Alright chill." John replied.

An older guy in his twenties who Louis hadn't seen before entered the rec and began to make his way over to the lads.

Louis watched him, “Who’s that?” He asked.

"His name's Dave, that's all I know." John explained. He pulled some money from his pocket and handed it to Dave without a word, receiving a small package in return.

Louis watched as Tony did the same thing before Dave turned towards him.

“This is all I’ve got.” Louis gave him the £10.

Dave took the money and contemplated Louis for a moment. "You're new round here aren't you? Tell you what kid, I'll do you a special deal - call it a welcome gift." He handed Louis a package just like he'd given the other two lads.

"Cheers mate." Louis replied with more confidence than he felt inside.

"Just make sure you've got a bit more cash next time yeh?"

"Yeah I will." Louis fiddled with the package. He was still in two minds...

Dave handed him a piece of paper. "My number should you need it." He explained.

Louis took the number and put it in his pocket.

"I'll see you lads around." Dave told the three of them before wandering off.

"Fucking hell! Dave's not normally that generous!" Tony gasped as he rolled himself a joint.

Louis wasn't sure about this but soon found himself joining the lads and rolling himself a joint too. As soon as he took a couple of drags on it he found himself quickly relaxing. All his thoughts disappeared. All the anger and confusion.

"See? I said you'd chill." John mumbled.

"Not right though, is it?" Louis mumbled back.

"Who gives a fuck about that?" Tony shrugged, giggling slightly.

Louis sighed, taking another drag of the joint.

"You scared of getting into trouble?" Tony teased.

“No! Fuck off.”

"Coz only babies are scared of getting in trouble." Tony taunted.

“I said fuck off! I’m not scared!”

"Just leave him alone." John interjected. "You're killing my buzz by arguing." He complained.

A silence descended over all three lads as the morning passed them by. Louis was half asleep staring at the clouds when his phone rang. He didn’t answer it, he was too chilled.

The phone rang two more times. On the third time it rang, Louis finally answered.

"Louis! At last!" Emily grumbled.

“What’s wrong? You alright sis?”

"You've got my lunch." She sighed.

“Shit? Have I?”

"Yeh, I can't eat yours." She grumbled. "Where are you? I'll come meet you to swap boxes."

“Erm... Bit busy Em.”

"But I'm starving and I haven't got any money to get something else. I'll come to you, I don't mind."

“I’m skiving.” He admitted, “Please don’t tell your mum.”

"Fuck sake Louis!" She harrumphed. "Where? I need to eat!"

“Down the rec.”

"I'm coming over."

“Love ya sis.”

"Louis? You ok? You sound... Weird..."

“Yeah fine.”

She wasn't convinced but hung up the phone and headed to the rec.

Louis dropped his phone onto the grass and lay watching the clouds.

Tony noticed Emily arriving at the rec. "Who's that?" He asked, perking up.

“My sister! She’s thirteen. Keep your eyes to yourself.”

"Don't be such a drag." Tony retorted. "Well hello sweetheart." He smiled at Emily.

Emily smiled at her brother, ignoring Tony. “Hi. Louis, swap lunches with me.”

Louis fumbled with his bag before handing over his sister's lunch to her.

“Ta.” She wrinkled her nose. “Weed?”

"No..." Louis lied.

“Bollocks.” She replied.

"Shouldn't you be getting back to school like a goody two shoes?!" Louis mocked.

“Shut up!” She turned to leave, “Don’t worry! I don’t plan on telling our parents about your little skiving session today.”

"Good!" Louis replied, his fingers twitching in his pocket where the weed was.

Emily shook her head and walked away, going back to school. She was worried about him.

The rest of the day passed as normal until it was approaching tea time. Though it was almost two hours since school had finished Louis hadn't arrived back home yet.

Emily was more quiet than usual. She was sat on the floor of her bedroom.

Jake hesitated in Emily's bedroom doorway, he was concerned that Louis going AWOL and Emily's nervousness were connected in some way.

She sighed deeply and pulled out her diary. “Will you stop staring at me?” She didn’t look up, feeling Jake's eyes on her.

"Do you know where Louis is?" Jake asked softly.

“No.” She replied. “Will mum be home soon?”

"I think she finishes at 7pm."

Emily sighed and nodded. She shoved her diary into her bag and stood up. “I’m going out.”

"I'm coming with you." Jake insisted.

“No. I’m going to the hospital. Please Jake! I wanna be on my own!”

"I can't let you go on your own!"

“Why?” She rolled her eyes, “I’m nearly fourteen!”

"Yeh and if mum and dad find out I let you just go out on your own they'll string me up! Plus gran will never agree to it."

She groaned. “Fine, I’ll stay here then.”

"He'll turn up." Jake attempted to reassure her.

“Who? Louis?”

"Yeh. He..." Jake's words were cut off by the sound of the front door opening and closing.

“I think that’s him.”

"Did something happen today? Is that why you're upset?"

“No.”

"Fine." Jake sighed. "You are as stubborn as mum sometimes!"

“I’m not!” She protested.

"You really are." Jake chuckled.

Emily rolled her eyes. “Whatever bro.” She grinned.

"Urgh, I'm not sure I can bare living with two of mum!" Jake laughed as he headed back downstairs.

Emily giggled softly. The amount of times she’d been told she was exactly like her mother was a lot.

Jake arrived downstairs to find Louis in the hallway. "Where you been?"

“Out with a few friends.” Louis replied with a shrug.

"You're lucky that we were able to cover for you with gran."

“Thanks.”

"Do you have any ideas why Emmy is upset?"

Louis shook his head. “No. She ok?”

"She seems worried about something but won't say what."

“Ah ok. Maybe she’ll talk later? Or maybe it’s nothing?”

"She seemed to want to go out but I said she couldn't on her own." Jake shrugged.

“Maybe she’ll talk when she comes down?”

"She seemed to want mum so maybe when she gets home from work she'll cheer up."

“Hope so.” Louis smiled.

When Duffy finally arrived home she was exhausted and stressed, it had been a hell of a shift!

Emily hadn’t come out of her room and she’d refused to eat when Kate had served up food for the younger children.

"Everything been OK mum?" Duffy asked, barely containing her yawns.

“It’s been ok. Emily’s not come out of her room though and she refused to eat dinner.” Kate replied back with a sigh.

"That's not like her, maybe she's getting sick." Duffy replied before heading upstairs to see her eldest daughter.

Emily lay on her bed, hugging her teddy tightly. She often retreated into herself when she had things on her mind.

"Hey princess, you feeling OK?" Duffy asked softly as she reached Emily's bedroom.

“Uh huh.”

"Gran said you didn't eat your tea." Duffy explained, sitting down on the bed next to the teenager.

“I’m not hungry.”

"But you need to eat." Duffy sighed, feeling somewhat hypocritical.

“I’m not hungry.” Emily stated again and sighed. She held the teddy tighter to her chest.

"OK. Did you at least eat your lunch?"

“A little bit. I was sick.” Emily admitted.

"Oh princess! Why didn't you say? Looks like you and me are staying home tomorrow."

“No I wasn’t sick because I’ve got a bug...” Emily sighed.

"Is something worrying you? You can tell me."

“No.” Emily lied and turned away a little. “I’m fine.”

"Can I have a cuddle? I've had a rubbish day." Duffy admitted, hoping that Emily might open up.

Emily crawled into her mum’s lap and cuddled her tightly. There was a silence for a while, “There’s someone I know that... I think might be in trouble....” She whispered.

Inhaling Every Moment

A/N: OK I already apologized for this in my previous post. The whole thing isn’t heart-wrenching, I promise. Like and comment, reblog or DM with feedback! And a super fluff-filled nothing sad at all Christmas one-shot is coming in December. So here’s Christmas 2016....

The air felt colder than usual, but it had nothing to do with close to freezing temperatures outside. Louis wasn’t sure his life could have been in a more horrific state than it was that chilly night in December. The funeral had been held two weeks ago and he didn’t know how there were any tears left in him. After that awful day, it had been too much for him to keep leaning on Dani. Snapping at her when she was just trying to help and then apologizing over and over again until their relationship had more tension than comfort. She had left two days after his X-factor performance, on amicable terms. He knew it wasn’t her fault he was so upset with the world right now, but he didn’t think he could be with anyone in his current state. And of course, she had been at the funeral. Some part of him had expected to see Eleanor there, but when he actually saw her in living, breathing, form, it was like someone had sliced open freshly sewn stitches. He’d barely been able to say more than a few words to her.

His birthday had passed yesterday without any festivity beyond reading a hopelessly long letter his mother had left behind for him, telling him how proud she was and that she wished him only to find peace in the coming year. Lottie had also made him eat something and changed his sheets, and then taken him and Fizzy, along with the older twins to get hot chocolate. It had been a sort of quiet he wasn’t used to, but he had never been more thankful to have so many sisters. They were all in this together, at least.

And there had been today. Christmas. In their rented London home close to the hospital that no one could bear to leave just yet. Nobody woke up early to open gifts, but Dan and Fizzy had started making pancakes around noon as people drifted downstairs. It was an odd kind of relief to have things to do that day. Traditions that simply had to be upheld lest they have one more reminder of Jay’s absence. And so, they had decorated the tree that had sat neglected for the past month as they had been too busy with goodbyes and funeral plans and grieving to worry about something as trivial as ornaments. The memories held in each little trinket he hung up ended up being of far more comfort than he thought they would. He had found all the little things he’d made her in primary school, ornaments from different years which read “the Tomlinsons”, and listed names on some item. The first looked like a cookie sheet and simply held Marks name, his mum’s, and his own. The most recent was in the shape of a large snow globe and held at the top “The Tomlinson-Deakin Family” and read on tiny name plaques, “Jay, Dan, Mark, Louis, Lottie, Fizzy, Daisy, Phoebe, Doris, Ernest”. He’d smiled, wondering what the person who had done the calligraphy must have thought, writing all those names. Every single one of the kids had some creative ‘Baby’s 1st Christmas’ one as well, his own simply stating those words on a tiny silver frame that held a photo of his Mum with him at one day old, not even discharged from the hospital yet.

They had sat in the living room and opened a few gifts from each other, before they had finally addressed the tense absence hanging in the air. Each of them had gone around and told the happiest story they could think of about Johannah. And for awhile they had laughed even though the pain was still fresh. She had brought so much joy to their lives. They had stayed in their cocoon of togetherness, not wanting to leave the warmth and comfort of seeing their mum in each other’s eyes, but then children started to fuss, and the night had to end as Lottie and Fizzy got the younger twins off to bed. He had to let the great world spin, whether he wanted to or not.

It was close to midnight now. He knew all the older girls were probably crowded into one bedroom, asleep on each other, as they had been since the funeral. He sat downstairs, in a back room with vaulted ceilings that was full of windows to let light in during the day. He was curled up on the couch, with his knees hugged to his chest feeling completely numb.  He took out his phone in hopes of finding a distraction, scrolling mindlessly through the names in his phone. Louis wasn’t even sure how or why he had hit call on Eleanor’s contact, it just happened.

Meanwhile, El sat in her sweatpants alone in her London flat. She couldn’t bring herself to go home to Manchester. She’d tried to enjoy herself earlier with a friend who’d invited her to dinner, but now she simply felt alone, save for Bruce, who she was currently using as a pillow. She missed Jay with everything in her, but more than that, she missed the normalcy of being around the Tomlinsons and how comforting it had been just to wrap Daisy and Phoebe in her arms at the funeral. His family was the only one that was going through this process with her, but she felt like an intruder, so she kept her communication to a minimum. When her phone rang, she didn’t intend to answer it until she saw the contact name flash.

“…. Hello?” She answered hesitantly.

“Hey,” Louis said quietly.

“You’re up late,” she mumbled.

“Surprised you’re still awake,” Louis replied awkwardly.

“I haven’t really slept much since….you know. Did you need something?” She asked with curiosity rather than annoyance.

Louis paused as if trying to remember something. “Not…not really, I guess. Just can’t sleep either, although apparently everyone else can.”

Eleanor spoke before she thought, “Do you want me to come over?”

“I can’t say the answer is no. I promised you no more lies, but if you’re tired, I understand” he told her, which was true. They had spoken briefly after Jay told her about Brianna’s pregnancy. It had been a strange conversation where she questioned why he felt the need for her to know before the public, and he’d answered her that despite not feeling they could reconciliate, he felt he owed her honesty, and that honesty wasn’t letting someone you had been with for three and a half years find out you were having a child from the media.

“I’m a little tired, but that doesn’t mean I can fall asleep anytime soon. Be over in ten?” El didn’t know why she agreed. A little birdie (actually twin ones with iPhones) had informed her when Danielle had gone back to America and their general understanding that Louis and she had split.

“Yeah that works…. See you soon.” The line went dead as he hung up.

El turned to Bruce, “I have to go, love.” The dog answered by putting his head on his paws. “….Actually? Do you want to go for a ride in the car…yeah?” The dog’s ears perked up and he sat, pawing at her. “Alright, but we have to be very quiet.”

She grabbed a clean sweater, double checked she had on deodorant, and didn’t bother beyond that. She packed up her golden-doodle and started her car.

Lou texted her to come in the side door, where the deck was waiting off the room where he currently sat. He heard her pull up but didn’t see her until she was at the glass door, holding a giant bundle of tan fur in her arms. Lou gently slid the door open as she stepped in and set Bruce down. “You brought your dog?!” He whisper shouted.

El shushed him in reply, quietly telling Bruce to lay down. “Yes, I brought my dog. You have to take care of them you know.” She wasn’t sure why she was being so forward, although Louis had purchased Bruce for her and known him quite well. He had been their dog. “Besides, you can’t tell me that fluffball is anything other than comforting,” she told him quietly.

Louis gave her a look but then his eyes softened as he crouched down to pet the dog. “Hey Bruce-y. How’s life been?” He sat down on the ground against the back of a couch and pet him.

El joined him on the ground, still wearing her coat and boots, rubbing her dog’s belly as she talked mindlessly. “He’s been okay. Definitely missed you when you first left.” She tried to fill the endless silence. “What’s on your mind?”

Louis sighed, “Just…how lonely things seem without her. I didn’t even see her all that often before she was diagnosed, I was busy living it up in LA, but then I was here constantly after that call. I was afraid if I left for too long, I might never see her again,” he said without looking up. He scratched Bruce’s ears as a distraction.

“At least you got to say goodbye?” El tried to look for something comforting but wasn’t coming up with much.

“You’re only the hundredth person to say that to me”, Lou rolled his eyes, standing up. “I need to smoke,” he told no one in particular, slipping on his shoes and heading out to the deck. Eleanor followed him, since Bruce had fallen asleep in the warmth of the house.

El pulled her coat tighter around her in the still night air, watching Louis take a pack and a lighter out of his sweatshirt pocket. She leaned against the railing and put one of her hands out. “Give me one those,” she said.

Lou gave her a strange look, “Didn’t you quit smoking…. four or five years ago?”

“I quit because I was dating someone in a band who had in image to uphold for millions of thirteen-year-old girls in 2011, you hypocrite”, she deadpanned, but he still didn’t look like he planned on surrendering any. “Give me a fucking cigarette!” She whisper-shouted.

Lou looked he had been shaken out of trance as he handed one over to her and lit it for her. “Well at least I can count on you not to lecture me about the hazard”, he told her, taking a drag off his own.

El almost laughed as she exhaled, “I’m pretty sure the fact that Jay hated smoking is enough of a lecture by itself.”

“You’d think. I’ve been awful about it though. I can go through a pack in two hours easily,” he informed her. It was true. His nerves never seemed to calm down and for some reason the routine dispense of nicotine into his system felt at least somewhat relaxing.

“Well, we all have our vices,” she knew it wasn’t worth lecturing him about anyway. He was going to do it either way until he worked through Jay being gone. They were silent for a few minutes as they smoked, until she stomped hers out on the ledge, too cold to continue. “You almost done, it’s bloody freezing out here?”

Louis saw her shivering and threw his in the ashtray. “It’s warmer upstairs, inside I mean,” he said as he offered his hand to her to walk back in. El glanced at him suspiciously before accepting it.

“What have you been doing down here, then?” She asked as he slid the door open.

“I…I couldn’t fall asleep alone. The girls are all piled in with each other, and if you hadn’t heard, things weren’t really working between Dani and I. She left two weeks ago,” Louis pat his leg to call Bruce over while El took her boots off. He had forgotten how much he cared about the dog.

“I heard,” she said quietly, looking for a subject change. “He remembers you. I can tell, he wouldn’t let Max near him for months, but he doesn’t even make a sound when you pet him”, she said watching the two interact, “are we going upstairs?” She gestured to the staircase down the hall as she hung up her coat above her boots.

 He figured she was cold from being outside, and it wasn’t going to hurt anything for them to go up to his room, “I guess…as long as Bruce is quiet.” El nodded in reply and picked up her overgrown puppy. Lou shook his head at her, hinting at a smile. He crept down the hall and up the stairs with her in tow, until they got to his room. He shut the door and turned on a lamp.

El set Bruce down on the bed, while Lou cleared away random things from it. “What’s that?” She asked of an unopened gift bag sitting on the ground.

Lou looked to where she pointed, and his heart sank, “birthday gift from Mum. I read the letter, but I haven’t opened it yet.”

“Oh…well do it now then. While I’m here for moral support,” She knew it might be months before he got around to it if she didn’t push him. Lou gave her an annoying look but picked it up and sat down next to her.

He took out the tissue paper and removed the two items inside. The first one was an engraved picture frame with one of the last photos of him and Jay before she was hospitalized. It simply read ‘Love you always, Mum Xx’ in what was clearly her handwriting. He smiled at it before setting it down gently on his dresser and picking up the other gift. It was a flat silver circle with an inner an outer ring, hung from a ribbon. The inner circle had a teddy bear holding a gift etched into it, while the outer one read ‘Baby’s first Christmas 2016’. He blinked back tears as he showed it to El. “She has one of these for all seven of us. And everyone’s is different, even Daisy and Phoebe’s. They were some of her favorite ornaments, she always talked about getting one for Freddie.”, he said it solemnly, leaning against her shoulder without thinking.

El squeezed his hand gently and set the trinket down next to the photo. She went to kick the bag aside but noticed something white in the tissue paper and picked it up for Lou to see. It was a Polaroid of all things, from Jay’s wedding. “Is that us?” Eleanor asked, even though she knew it was her because she remembered taking the photo.

It was while everyone was still getting ready and somehow the bridesmaids had found themselves running around barefoot as they finished up. Sophia had come to help her fix her hair, and brought Liam with her, who had brought Niall, and before she knew it all of One Direction was in the house and her hair still hadn’t been fixed. Someone was taking Polaroids for fun and had gone to grab one of Louis and Liam after he first walked in. Joke was on that photographer, because Lou had called her over, which of course led to Liam calling Sophia over, and then Louis told Zayn and Perrie they may as well join, which led Niall and Harry to sarcastically complaining about not being included. Louis had told them it was a couples only photo, and they needed a date, which they responded to by waving over Daisy and Phoebe, also barefoot and dresses still untied, and putting the girls on their backs.

The end result had been a set of laughing twins on the backs of Harry and Niall with linked arms and ridiculous facial expressions on one end and Zayn and Perrie looking relatively normal on the other end. In between that mess was Louis holding El’s waist and kissing her on the cheek while she looked slightly to the side, bursting with laughter at Sophia who was standing on her tiptoes in her black dress, trying to be as tall as El in her bare feet while Liam had covered half his smile, trying to hide his laughter at Soph’s attempt to be taller.

Louis took the photo from her after studying it, wondering why his mum had included it. He turned it over where the back of it had written in sharpie, ‘Louis, never stop making people smile. :)’. He looked at El, “that is definitely us.” He wasn’t sure what else to say. The photo only stirred up more feelings, although not all of them were bad.

“Can I borrow a sweatshirt?” El asked out of the blue once the silence got to be too much. Her sweater felt tight and uncomfortable now.

“Yeah, I’ll grab you one”, he exhaled heavily as he set the photo down and pulled one of his drawers open, surrendering the warm fleece. “Did you want one of the guest rooms?” He turned to pet Bruce while she changed.

El pulled her sweater off and unclasped her bra, before discarding that as well. She pulled on his warm sweatshirt and scooted back, “I’m fine here.”

“You want to sleep in my room? As in….” Louis was confused.

El rolled her eyes, “I’ll sleep with you. Wait not like that, I didn’t mean-”

“I got it,” he cut her off, understanding her meaning. Bruce stayed curled up at the end of the bed as he went to lay beside her, taking the Polaroid with him to examine it further.

She put a hand on his arm out of habit, “You alright?”

Louis shook his head. “I know that was probably one of the happiest days of her life, but it’s definitely in me own top three. I got to walk down the aisle with you. And nobody was fighting, not the band or my siblings, or…us”, he tilted his head slightly.

“You really want to do this right now?” El turned on her own side to face him, leaning on her arm, “talk about us?”

“You say it like it’s such a bad thing”, his tone didn’t convey any particular emotion, besides the grief he was clearly carrying in general.

“Not bad, per say…. just doesn’t do anybody a lot of good. Reminiscing about a girl you used to be in love with,” Eleanor stated like it should be obvious.

Louis raised an eyebrow at her as if she had just told him something completely inconceivable, like the sky turning green. He took one of her hands and looked straight at her, “Eleanor, I didn’t used to be in love with you… I still am.”

El blinked back a tear and looked at their hands instead of back at him, “You promised… no more lies.” She didn’t ever want to risk having her heart shattered again.

Louis wasn’t holding back his tears as they slid down his cheeks. “I’m not lying. You’re my girl, Eleanor,” El tried to look anywhere but at his eyes. “I know I fucked up, and got really lost the last two years, in too many ways to count, but I promise I’m not lying about this,” he pleaded with her.

El let the tears fall down her face. “Why did you call me?” She asked through her tears, swallowing thickly. She stared at their fingers, still laced together between them.

“Because”, Louis choked out, “because you’re my family. Nobody can ever be you, which means no one can ever understand losing her the way you would. You don’t treat me like some…broken, fragile thing. And because…maybe, I missed you.” He blinked hard and wiped at his eyes with his sweatshirt

“Maybe?” El finally met his eyes.

“No. Not Maybe. I did miss you. Shit, El. I missed you so much”, it was like a million emotions came flooding back in one second.

El wiped at her own tears. She crept closer to him, feeling her heartbeat pounding in her ears. She lost herself in the ocean of his eyes.

“I missed you too,” she whispered.  She wasn’t sure why she admitted to that so freely, but she knew with every part of her that it was true.

Louis didn’t stop to wonder if her reply was genuine or second guess her, at least not with words. He just gave her a half smile and squeezed her hand gently, “Yeah?”

El nodded and pushed her palm against his so he fell on his back and pressed her lips to his. Her thought process was completely gone at this point. She had meant to be gentle and quick, but before she knew it, his other hand was tucking a stray hair behind her ear as she found the familiar taste of cigarettes and some expensive whiskey he must have been drinking earlier and him. She surrendered all her oxygen to it, kissing him as they both cried silent tears.

Lou wanted her back the second she pulled away to breathe, but he decided he could definitely settle for her body pressed to his as she curled around him and rested her head on his chest. He swallowed and found his tears finally subsiding as he wrapped his arm around her. “I can’t lose you too, not again.”

El didn’t look at him to argue or try to declare her love enough to convince him she wasn’t going anywhere. She didn’t have the energy or the motivation to do any of that. She simply snuggled closer to him and ran her thumb over his where they knotted together. “You won’t,” she stated simply, glancing at the clock reading eleven fifty. “Merry Christmas,” she said sleepily. And then her eyelids were getting heavy as she wrapped her body around his and shifted most of her upper bodyweight onto him.

He yawned under the comforting pressure of her head tucked beneath his chin and her chest against his abs, one arm wrapped lazily around him.  Eleanor drifted off with her nose tucked to his shoulder. Can I Sue My Car Insurance Company For Fraud?

I bought insurance for my truck. after 3 months of paying my agent i noticed that my financing bank had added 1300 dollars to my loan as a collateral insurance because they did not have proof of my insurance. I went back to my agent and they explained that they forgot to send the payment for 3 months to the main insurance company and that is why it appeared to my bank that I did not have insurance. My insurance agent told me they were gonna do a re-installment and that they were going to give me proof that i had insurance for those 3 months so i could take it to my bank so they could remove the 1300 from the loan. It's been about 10 months and my insurance agent has not given me any proof of my policy so the bank is still charging me for those 3 months. (about 400 per month since im 20). my agent does not want to refund the money for those 3 months, and they do not want to give me a proof of policy. I do have proof of paying them for those 3 months since I payed with a check that they cashed. I want them to give me proof of insurance for those 3 months or to pay 1300 to my loan because they are charging it due to their fault since they forgot to send my payment. Can I do a civil law suit for those 1300. I have proof of my payment for those 3 months. I also have my policy number but it says it's cancelled due to non payment so bank will not accept that as insurance. right after those 3 months I opened a new policy with them and ive had it for 8 months and ive always payed on time. I recently noticed that when they opened the new policy they inputed my date of birth as if i was 40 years old instead of 20. I do not know if they did a mistake or if they did that on purpose to give me a better price. Hi, I'm 17 in a week & will be starting my driving lessons. I have my theory booked for a few days after & aim to pass in around 6 weeks, depending on the waiting list for the test, having 3-4 lessons a week. Driving a car isn't a problem for me, have had plenty of practise on tracks in my dads weapon ;) & have for the last 8 weeks or so been going to an empty industrial estate one or twice a week, driving my mums cooper S or occasionally my uncles M3. That night you didn't sleep. You spent your time thinking of every possible scenario that might have played out, if only you had stayed. Alas, your friend needed help, and you weren't heartless. Finally you gave in to your insomnia and opened your phone, the light blazing green patches into you vision. “great” you adjusted and began flipping through your social media. Friends, gossip, cute cats, new spider-man movie, aunts wedding... wait.. you scroll back desperately.

“Hold on just a fucking second!”

What you thought was an internal thought was indeed the very opposite. You hear Lara yell back “WHY”  Potentially about to hit start on her midnight microwave madness. You scramble to your feet and scurry into the kitchen.

You opened your phone to a picture of Tom Holland standing on plush carpet and seemingly in some ballet pose, his shirt wide open revealing his beautiful body. You let out a hushed sigh. Wow. You weren't exactly sure when you fell asleep, but judging by your search history and the state of your bed, you had fallen asleep... satisfied...

You got ready and looked at the time realizing you were going to be late. Today you'd be having lunch at Cote Brasserie in Kingston with your family. And of course you looked no where near ready.

20 minutes later you called your Mum from the cab “Sorry Mum! My alarm didn't go off. I'll be there in 10! I promise!” On the other end you heard your Mum scoff. Maybe it had been the fact that you were late to her birthday celebration, or maybe it was the fact you had no boyfriend and hadn't gone to college yet...

You paid the cabby generously for his potentially dangerous wheel work, and composed yourself on the way to the door. Walking in the place smelled like many things that touched your slightly hung over senses with a bit more gusto than you would have liked, and your expression had given that away.

“y/n its one thing to arrive late but you might want to behave like you want to be here” your father said lovingly as he stood to hug you. He then looked into your eyes with a knowing, fatherly frown, and whispered “Try not to act hung over, dear”

“Yes dad..” You greeted the rest with as much joy as you could muster.

When the meal came to and end you Stood with the rest of them throwing a long coat over yourself. As you flipped your hair out of the collar, you looked up to see a booth. Sat in it were 4 boys and who must have been their parents. You glanced away for a moment making a move to leave, but it was when you looked back that you saw him. The oldest of them laughing with the youngest, that same full body laugh. And his eyes come up to meet yours “oh fuck”

Your dad looks back “LANGUAG- Oh whats happened, are you alright y/n?” you must have been pale.

You laugh nervously trying not to be to loud “ yeah don't mind me, just.. be right back... gotta... ” you were at a loss for words “I’ll catch up” and with that, you ran to the washroom.

You looked at yourself in the mirror, heart racing. So soon? What the ever-loving fuck y/n you're a mess today. He can't see me like this. Why didn't I run the OTHER way. You whine in frustration, straitening your hair. Phooo c'mon y/n you've done it now. Calm down.

Thinking you'd psyched yourself up for the simple task of casually waving at him while you left the restaurant, you reached for the door, and with every thump of your heart it seemed to move slower. 

Looking at the floor as you left the room, your head bumped into something.. no... someone... shit...“oh god sorry” his voice came out with a casual softness. He rested his hands firmly on your arms steadying you. “are you alright?” with hesitation you raise your head, your eyes at the level of one very defined jawline.

Does he recognize me?

His eyes were a deep brown, and it made his air even calmer, laid back, and welcoming. Just when you resigned to the idea that he didn't recognize you, his expression changed, his grip loosened. “you look... familiar.”

At those words you flashed back to the previous night, and with the memory of his stare, you felt your body heat up. Without a thought, that same devious grin you showed him the night before, crept across your face. “ you look familiar too”

Oh man..

You saw the cogs turning in his mind, and you could have sworn you saw the moment he remembered a scantly clad girl eyeing him from across the muggy room of a night club, intent on having him. He inhaled sharply, his cheeks turning red. “O-oh.. Hello” he let his hands drop to his sides his eyes frantically taking you in. “y-your the...” He swallowed hard and you saw his jaw clench, betraying his nerves.

You knew who you'd seen last night; a confident young man with devilish thoughts, and a gaze that conveyed them... vividly. This was no doubt the same boy, those curls, that smile... Who knew he'd had a softer side. So nervous. 

Oh I'm gonna eat him up.

After a moment he shook from the stare and stumbled through a sentence. “I'm going back..” what? You must have looked confused because he elaborated “to the- the club I mean... me and my mate Harrison.”

The conversation went slowly, but gained confidence as the two of you began to fall back into the head space of the night before. “Are you asking me out?” your grin deepened as you stepped closer to him, the heat of your bodies rushing to meet in the air between you. You continued “because I don't even know your name yet” Lies! Bad y/n! As you finished your sentence you reached into is front pocket where you had seen his phone. He took another sharp inhale, he was cute when surprised You swiped it open and began to text yourself.

He let out a breath a little more heated than the moment before. “Tom”

You licked your lips subtly “Ok Tom...” You slipped his phone back into his front pocket slowly. “I'll see you there, text me” You slid past him towards the door. You could feel his eyes on you, and continued walking to meet your family. You couldn't help but smile while you imagined his face reading the text you'd send yourself along with your name.

Recap: 16.5.19

Today felt like a very long day.

I didn't have a shower this morning. My hand was stressing me out and I didn't want to have to figure out the logistics of showering as well, so I didn't.

Saw P. We talked about stuff a bit. When we were talking about my anxiety around going to the office she said something about me putting the blame on other people, which straight up isn't true. A lot of it's about me thinking the staff don't want me there, but I'm very aware that's a me problem not a them problem. That put me on edge, and then she started asking about my favourite place, and wanted me to describe it. That was just too much. It felt like a lot of pressure, and I also try not to think about the place, because I never get to go there, and coming back is so hard because it's amazing. I panicked, and when P went to get Mc (so we could go out as was already planned) I left.

I was going to go to the shop I went to on Tuesday night and buy more blades, but Mc caught up with me and managed to persuade me we should go and get ice cream. We did, and it was fine.

Got back to college and hung around with Mo for about an hour before my annual review meeting. Apparently there are no lessons on tomorrow because of exams, so he suggested I go home with my mum after the meeting. No thanks.

My case worker from the local authority was there, which I wasn't expecting. In an email he said it wasn't his job to come, and his boss was coming, but whatever. He scares me.

The meeting was ok though. Ups and downs. I got very stressed when they were talking about me doing stuff at another college next year, because they started talking about funding and it having to go to panel and lots of stressful things. But we also talked about the holidays and how my need for support doesn't just disappear when I'm not at college, and E said stuff about getting direct payments for a PA to take me out to do things which would be good. Fill some time.

Came back to the house afterwards and was pretty wound up. I had been sitting still for quite a while and all the stress had built up. I paced around my room until I felt sick, memorised some more of the periodic table (I'm up to 80 now), and hit my hand wound into the wall a lot of times. Not my best plan.

I hung around on my stairs for a bit and then Mo came up. He asked what I wanted to do, and suggested going down to the office. B was there but she was busy, so I went back to my room and then went for a walk. I told B I was going, and she asked if I wanted someone to go with me because that's what I agreed with Mo, but I said no and she said ok.

I went to the shop and bought 2 pencil sharpener sets (as well as couple of food things). Mo phoned me when I was almost back, asking if I'd gone for a walk. I thought he knew, because just after I left he texted me asking if I didn't want to be in the office and why, but it seems he thought I was in my room and didn't ask B. He was outside when I got back and came upstairs with me. He asked if I'd been to the shop and I didn't say no. He told me we were going to go for a walk, so we did.

We went to the church I like. I didn't speak to him on the way there. We were there for ages. We spoke about a lot of stuff. A lot of the time it felt like he was having a go at me which wasn't a lot of fun. He was talking all about personal responsibility and idek. He kept asking what I'd bought and eventually I told him, but I didn't specify the quantity. He said I'd have to give it to him when I got back, and I spent a fair amount of time trying to persuade him otherwise. It didn't work. I think he also views self harm of a very different scale to me. He was saying that any form of cutting is severe (especially if it involved alcohol), but I don't see it as that bad. I have 1 cut on my hand, and a couple of wounds on my leg. None of them have been bad enough that they've needed stitches and they're aren't that many. It's not a major issue. Mo disagrees. I think we should just let it play out, because it won't escalate for ever, or probably even that long. It'll get worse for a bit and then I'll stop. That's how it worked earlier in the year. Mo was going on about whether they can keep me safe and whether I can keep myself safe and what happens if the answer to those questions is no (not that he actually said what happens) and it was all just annoying. He also said stuff about me testing them (which is not what this is about) and finding loopholes because I'm bored (probably partly true but not the main issue). Apparently I'm going to either have to have someone go with me on walks or they'll check my bag when I get back. Wahoo.

When we got back he came up to my stairs and asked for the sharpeners. So I gave him 1 set. He asked if I had more and I said no. The first time I've straight up lied to him.

We took the dressing thing off my hand because I'd bled into it quite a bit after hitting my hand into the wall. There's now a dressing that's probably going to stick to it which will be super fun to take off. I'm going to buy more steri strips and some not stick dressing things tomorrow.

We sorted food and ate, and Mo said to come and find him when I was done. I was too stressed so just went to my room, but he texted and we ended up watching TV downstairs for about an hour.

About half an hour after the programme we were watching finished and I had gone back in my room, my dad texted saying he was sorry to hear about my hand. I phoned my mum and it turns out Mo phoned her last night. I'm not happy. We had discussed talking to my mum, and agreed that if (when) she saw and commented on my hand today, Mo would explain what happened. Except it turns out he went and told her, without telling me. I'm so done with him. I hope he's in tomorrow so I can ask him why he did it, when we had already come up with a plan, and especially why he didn't tell me. I was suspicious when my mum didn't ask about it today, but I thought she was just not asking in front of a load of other people and would ask tomorrow when she picks me up. I'm so glad I didn't give Mo the second sharpener set. I'm not going to reply to my dad.

I'm angry with Mo. All I know is that if I cut again I'm not going to be telling him (or potentially anyone, given it'll get back to him) about it. He's on the dead to me list. F was on it for a while for exactly the same reason as Mo- she told my mum about self harm stuff in October. P probably won't be particularly happy. She just loves me and my "black and white thinking" as she calls it.

I didn't self harm tonight. I have blades again now, which makes me feel better because I know that if my anxiety spirals I have that option. That sounds bad but it reassures me. I'm not sure having the alcohol is helpful. But I can't give it to Mo now, it's too late. I've had it for too long. Also I'm not giving him anything.

I don't know if I'll do anything tomorrow. My mum's coming sometime after 3 and I'll need to pack stuff at some point, but it'll only take a few minutes.

I don't know how I'm feeling about the weekend. In some ways I'm ready to be away from here for a couple of days, but I also don't want to see B2 and generally don't enjoy being at home.

It's nearly half term, which I'm dreading.

It's 1:30 and I need to go to sleep. Hopefully I'll be able to sleep in a bit tomorrow. I haven't had enough sleep this week.
