A species of blep from cold steppes. Like most species of furred tetrapods, it keeps its young in a pouch for months until they are hardy enough to run about and eat solid food. It eats lichens, roots and mosses primarily, but is an opportunistic scavenger if those prove scarce. It lives in groups of variable sizes, with complex familial dynamics, but these groups can be spread out over great distances; they communicate by loud bellows that cover long distances despite great winds.

These small kullau are part of a species that lives in large groups, up to thousands of individuals, who fly together throughout the sky to catch small flying bugs that they eat.

They tend to favor wetlands to nest; the abundance of their prey makes it ideal for them. During the period when they raise their young, their fluffy whiskers get even fuller, and those catch and trap extra bugs in them, which helps them get extra food to their babies.

Outside of those periods, a flock travels here and there, mostly following ideal weathers for hunting in the sky. Due to this, seeing them is often a good sign that the next few days will be warm and sunny.

I think I was talking too much about Totoro because I had a dream I was with someone and a little boy. We were in some kind of dictatorship? All the buildings were similar to school barracks though not all of them had doors.

I can't really explain the dictatorship. It was more of a feeling that we weren't allowed to be in certain places.

Anyway, the other person whom I can't describe because I don't remember how they looked, said something like "hey, you know how you said you always wanted to sleep on Totoro? I know where to find him."

We found our way to a nice looking barrack where a giant Ned Flanders and Totoro were sleeping on cots that had been set in the ground, making the bed part of the cots ground level.

The person asked if we could snuggle up with them. Ned Flanders said something like "okaly-dokaly neighborino!" The person went to snuggle up to Ned Flanders while Totoro looked over at me and patted the spot next to him. I climbed onto the cot and Totoro gave me a big hug. I felt his soft fur on my face and let myself relax.

Suddenly Totoro realized the little boy that was with us was missing. He told me to stay there and he was going to look for him.

I got nervous and got up to go look myself.

I suddenly ran into some folks covered in colorful paint, like war paint, and rudimentary armor. They started screaming out and I ran back to the bedroom. I safely managed to jump into the cot again and saw Totoro sitting with the little boy, who was sleeping on his lap.
