Frump women were historically known for being exceptional witches - there was something in their bloodline that turned the females born in the family into adept magic users, provided that talent was nurtured and guided since childhood. However, there was a second (and less known) tradition running there as well, one that had almost fallen into disuse due to sheer lack of practice or purpose under more recent years: swindling and conning wealthy victims.

At her prime, Eudora Frump had been legendary in Europe; most of her tricks were passed down to her twins, although Morticia hardly required anything in terms of financial assistance after marrying into the Addamses. The same extended to her relatives: Gomez was a generous man and his immense home had been the house to not only his wife (and future children), but also to his mother and sister-in-law, with ample room for their hobbies and comforts.

It wasn’t until a few years later when Daigo and Melissa were already married and acquainted with Okamura that such fact was brought up. They were still in Japan tying some loose ends up (which meant convincing a long lost cousin to return to America with them) when the witch mentioned that - some of the abilities the blonde murderess exhibited were familiar to her, and the assassin’s eyes glowed with admiration for his wife.

“Melissa - I had no idea,” the man murmured, picking one of her hands up and bringing it closer to his face, placing a soft kiss over the brunette’s knuckles in a reverential gesture. The woman smiled sweetly at him in return - although they had been married for just a few months, it felt like they had been together for a lifetime. It was just so right - so perfect; Melissa was incapable of restraining her idle fingers from reaching out, pushing some of Daigo’s longer strands of hair behind an ear.

“Oh, it was just a side hobby. Tish stopped way before than I did after meeting Gomez, but I carried on for a while. I always liked having some fresh faces at home,” her look for the assassin was open and full of tenderness; there was absolutely no one else who could have her heart, during that existence or in the afterlife, “Unlike our dear Azumi, I much preferred them as test subjects for my children. I learned so much about their abilities and talents by bringing these young men with me... I wouldn’t be half the mother I am to my spiderlings without their contribution.”

The blonde was keen on obtaining financial advantage of her targets - not unlike Eudora in the past, too; Melissa then found herself smiling, imagining just how much they had in common and how agreeable would be for the two women to meet, despite their vastly different origins. However, the witch’s focus returned to the present rather fast - Daigo was still holding her hand with his, a thumb stroking the skin idly but prolonging the physical contact that the brunette loved so much. Ambar eyes moved to meet his obsidian stare, and there was something in the assassin’s gaze that momentarily took her breath away.

Oh, Daigo was impossibly beautiful - particularly when he showcased adoration so freely.

“Would you consider the possibility of entertaining me with a display of these talents, my love?” he asked with underlying excitement in his voice. The idea that his wife, as perfect and scary as she was during episodic visions, also concealed a different side to her by seducing and roping incautious individuals like a spider capturing prey was obviously enticing to him. “I know you said it has been a while, but surely we have time until Azumi-san arrives?”

Again, a hand was raised - and Daigo kissed the colder skin of the witch in a way that was overflowing with affection. It was all but a silent request, a wordless ‘please’ for the witch to give him a private exhibition of how far she could cast her web and dilacerate victims. Melissa was incapable of resisting - her idle hand cupped the half-Japanese man adoringly, sliding over his lips to press a thumb over them and nodding softly, giving into his praise and almost childlike glee. Daigo had showed her so much of the city he adored, the locations where he had painted walls red, the haunted alleyways where she could attempt to commune with the local ghosts... Giving him something in return was no inconvenience.

“Well - there are a number of foreigners here. Roppongi, was it?” the woman queried while canting her head, but the accent was evidently strong. It was a prime spot for scouting wealthy expatriates, Okamura had explained to them - and well, it ended up turning to be something in their favor. The witch grinned next, the gesture a bit on the mischievous side - perhaps the goddess intended for it to happen; there were no coincidences in life, as Melissa often proclaimed.

The brunette’s hand dropped from her husband’s face to her middle, briefly making contact with their first (and unborn) son. Only the two of them knew he was there, growing strong every day - the figure of the woman did not yet denounce the fact that she was pregnant, and it was hardly an issue for one who had no desire to drink alcohol during her approach. “Very well. Our son agrees with the idea - he’s happy with a little adventure,” Melissa murmured and tossed her long hair over a shoulder, making the view of her pale skin in a dark dress slightly more evident. The game was on - and Daigo hummed appreciatively, leaning back towards the bar and nodding with encouragement.

“I won’t be long, chéri.”

“Take as long as you need, my love,” Daigo said with a wide grin, watching as his wife moved away to choose her victim, leaning an elbow over the counter and then folding the arm to use an open hand as the resting place for his chin. The assassin was left alone but his eyes followed the witch across the room with rapt attention, watching as she selected a random executive as a victim and he murmured to himself. “To be a fly in your web, Your Majesty... I hope these men only realize how fortune is smiling upon them tonight.”

Thank you for asking, I appreciate the patience ❤️ 12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?

1 I talked about this with a friend recently, I think Mibuchi has a good, close relationship with their parents! it wasn't easy at first, more specifically with their dad- but love and understanding wins :) I like to think Mibuchi is a very good influence in Akashi's life, especially after winter cup!

2 They like to style their hair in different ways, outside practice/school. Mibuchi is the fashion icon (not a model though. In the trendy wardrobe meaning)

3 Lastly, I believe they play videogames on free time at home :D (good at it, by the way)

20. Which other character is the ideal best friend for this character, the amount of screentime they share doesn't matter? Kenichi Okamura, they can support each other 💪 also share plenty of things in common. Personality wise, it could be a good match <3 super chill

25. What was your first impression of this character? How about now?

Not much to say, I have always liked Mibuchi <3 I guess at first I was curious to see how this character would be developed (staring at the homophobic, misogynist author) and it was fine, most of it. I treasure every single appearance they have OTL

She enjoys fashion, singing, dancing, skating, playing video games, watching anime, reading manga, cosplaying, and cake decorating. A resident of Shibuya-cho from birth, Spice had a pretty ordinary childhood until the first time she saw an idol performance on TV and decided she wanted to be one someday. This was something her parents, Midori and Kenji Okamura, were NOT happy about (they wanted Spice to be their caretaker once they retired. They would strike her, treat her like a second-class citizen, and always found fault with her, and her classmates would often make fun of her for her unstable home life.

Eventually, Spice's parents kicked her out, but they were nice enough to let her keep some of her stuff (namely, her idol stuff, her clothes, her skates, and a music box that played a song she found comforting). She was already good friends with Beat at the time, and, he, being an ever-supportive friend, let her stay with him and the rest of the GGs (he even welcomed her into the group with open arms), and helped her get a job at the local ice cream place.

Because you do this so often, he has become accustomed to it, though some think he’s more addicted to it.  When you aren’t touching him, sometimes he’ll unknowingly seek out that comfort because he’s gotten so used to it.

☆ Nebuya would enjoy cuddling with you because he can wrap his arms around you and hold you tight.  He especially loves embracing you in the winter because your small body is like a mini heater that was made just for him.  Your body melds with his and during your cuddle sessions, it’s a mess of arms and legs firmly swaddled around your body.  Getting him to let you go after he’s gotten comfortable is nearly impossible and no amount of whining or asking will get him off of you any faster. Nebuya is the type to know that he’s heavy, but still, place most of his weight on you, because he thinks it’s funny how you squirm. But no worries, you’ll live.

☆ Despite how he appears, he secretly enjoys how happy and bubbly you are. Your vibrant personality is contagious to him and fills him with energy after talking to you.

☆ Okamura has a scary looking face, and because he’s so big, people tend to stay away from him, but not you. You saw past his scary disposition for the man that he truly is. You were able to pick out the small things that showed he wasn’t as tough or mean as people made him seem.

☆ Okamura loves to help you, but he does have a bit of a naughty side. His way of teasing is similar to Nebuya’s but he won’t readily admit that he moved the items to higher shelves until you go to reach for them.

Name: Mai Fujiwara (JP: 藤原 まい). Gender: Female. General appearance: Mai has retained the looks she had at her transformation, and she shares no physical similarities with either of her ‘mothers’ (although technically she was turned by Melissa). She looks like your average Japanese girl, with 1.6m and dark brown hair, slightly curvier frame than most and with overall innocent, big eyes - could still pass for a high schooler with the right uniform, but she’s definitely no timid, doe-eyed student. In fact, she’s just feral and her new appearance (ruby-like eyes, slightly elongated nails for claws and fangs) matches her inner personality very well. Personality: The youngest child of a standard Japanese family with an overworked father and an unhappy mother at home, Mai always wanted something better - she never felt like she fit within the role people expected of her; a troublemaker at school, the black sheep of her family for thinking for herself, she fell with the ‘wrong’ crowds and got into occultism and witchcraft, enough to track and speak with vampires on her own after a couple of years of research. She was first scouted by Okamura as prey - a repeat one, even; ultimately, she proved she had what it took to be turned. Special talents: After becoming an immortal, Mai received a particular gift - similarly to Okamura, rather than turning into a bat (and smoke), Mai has a shape that looks like a version of the harpies from the ancient Greek lore. Only she’s no beautiful maiden with wings - her harpy form really emphasizes the beast hiding within and it’s her favorite hunting form, with her human face and torso preserved, but with bird-like wings, vicious claws and talons. Who they like better: Okamura, as they are both more comfortable with an animal counterpart of sorts than in their human skin, and they are fierce predators with no pity for prey. Both were also considered (during their human lives) as being lesser creatures than they could be, and their transformation is really a gift which opened a door to their truest selves.  Who they take after more: Also Okamura, for the reasons elaborated above - despite having being turned by Melissa, Mai really is more of an Okamura shadow; the queen finds it endlessly amusing and very endearing. It goes without saying that Mai is fiercely protective of both her mothers - and unafraid to use any tools at her disposal to ensure their safety and well-being. Personal Headcanon: Despite being younger than Kiriko (in overall years lived and also having been turned at a younger age than the other girl), they were the most recent additions to the coven and became friendly rather early on; considering how much of Melissa ended up transferred to Kiriko (as the queen mentored her as some sort of spiritual successor) and the fact that the two girls became inseparable (with some questioning whether they would eventually become mates one day), it is rather curious that the new pair seems to be following in the overall footsteps of the current queen and her beloved right hand. Akira Kurusu

➳ The park wasn’t out of the question for you two to go out on dates. It was always in the rotation of date spots. However, it was definitely one of his favorites due to them being so much calmer than most places. Akira is a bit of an introvert himself, preferring a soothing place like the park over a busy café or the arcade, especially when spending time with his significant other.

➳ On special occasions, you two would go for a boat ride or have a picnic together. Most of the time, though, you two would just walk around. Your hands always intertwined together, almost like they were glued together. Sometimes conversation would flow casually about what went on that week, but sometimes you two would enjoy the local nature together.

➳ While on your weekend walks, he’ll sometimes give you kisses on your hand tenderly. Giving you the softest eyes after he kisses your hand. (God, he was always the charmer.) Sometimes, if he’s feeling especially gutsy, he’ll even give you a proper kiss beside a tree. The kiss is never too long as he doesn’t want to make the park goers uncomfortable, but it’s always enough to leave your heart fluttering. 

Ryuji Sakamoto

➳ I don’t know if running counts as a date, but your park ‘dates’ are always early morning runs. Ryuji has been determined to get back up to par for the Phantom Thieves, his significant other, and most importantly himself. He knows he won’t be an athlete again like he was, but he wants to feel like that again. 

➳ The first few times, you are just the time keeper. Keeping track of his improved times and being emotional support. Every time he gets better, though, he gets a little kiss as a reward. While that’s some definite encouragement though, however he wants you to start running with him. And he brings it up every single time.

➳ Eventually, you do crack though. Those damn puppy dog eyes finally melted your soul. Needless to say, though, it goes about as well as you expected. He completely beats you out and is so far ahead of you that it’s not even fair. When you do catch up, you are nearly out of breath and desperate for water and ramen. After that, the morning run roles become switch up every lap. Both of you giving kisses after the other improves their times.

Ann Takamaki

➳ Most of your dates honestly aren’t at the park. It’s not that Ann doesn’t like to go to the park, it’s just that she has things she’d rather do together. However, when you do go to the park, it’s usually when one of you is stressed out.

➳ When she’s stressed, it’s usually due to school or work. Most of the time, you’ll take her to the park and have a cute picnic together. Usually the picnic will include something simple like homemade sandwiches and whatever attempt at crepes you made. (She appreciates it no matter the quality, promise.) While you sit by the water, enjoying lunch, she’ll vent about her troubles to you. After the long vent, she’ll finally just lay down in the grass. Breathing out as if she’s letting the pressure get off her chest. She simple appreciates your presence nearby.

➳ When you’re stressed, she’ll drag you to the park. Ann will surprise you with your favorite seasonal treat, letting you vent like you do for her. Whatever stresses, she’ll listen and give you comforting words. She’ll give advice if she can, but either way she’s a shoulder for you to cry on or vent to whenever you need.

Yusuke Kitagawa

➳ Going to the park was initially your poorly done, flirting tactic. Yusuke usually went there for inspiration, something new to paint. You’d always tag along, trying to get close to him. He’d always let you come with, happy to have a figure to draw with the ever changing lighting by the lake.

➳ Even after you start dating, you two still go to the park together fairly often. Sometimes he needed to go to do an assignment for class, sometimes to drum up inspiration. Occasionally, you’d attempt to draw with him. No matter your skill level, he’d always praise your work, highly encouraging of growing artists. Plus, he secretly loves you taking an interest in his passion.

➳ Park dates become a regular thing between you two. Besides the inspiration, it gives a quiet space to talk together at the end of a long week of fighting shadows and balancing school like the teenage vigilante he is. It’s even more needed if you two aren’t in the same classes or different schools entirely. While he’s not the most physically affectionate, he definitely tells you loving flowery words every date. Usually about how nice you look, your artwork, or even just about you in general. Making it all worth those moments apart.

Makoto Niijima

➳ Park dates are always during exam season. It’s a new place to study and keeps both of you from being trapped up in a room over a textbook. Plus, the libraries and cafes are usually crowded up with students studying. A study buddy is always good, especially when she’s ridiculously intelligent.

➳Usually between studying biology and English, you’ll people watch. Not in a judgmental way, but definitely pointing out what people are doing. Guessing their ages, what they are doing at the park. Your favorite is guessing the boat couples, seeing what they are up to. (One time you swore you saw Akira and Yusuke on a boat, but Makoto kept denying it.)

➳ The dates aren’t romantic, because they aren’t really traditional dates in a way. It’s just spending time together, which is all that matters. She’s trying to help you improve and you for her. Hearing her speak and help to correct your English pronunciation is more than enough. Also, your grades are looking beautiful after a date with your girlfriend. So bonus. 

Futaba Sakura

➳ Let’s be real, you are the one who drags her to the park. She doesn’t ask to go. The goal is to get her to see some sunlight. It’s not too busy for her anxiety, especially when Akihabara is just too much to handle for you or her. Sojiro or Akira help you out with the convincing to get her to the park, after all someone has to get her outside.

➳ When you get there, you do one of two things: An ARG game, or reading manga together. With the ARG game (think Pokémon GO for reference), you two will wander around collecting items for whatever ARG she’s obsessed with. If she convinces you to download it, you two will run around trying to out compete each other to get the most items and level up the quickest. By the end of it, the winner will be gloating til you both end up laughing on the grass at how silly the taunts get.

➳ If it’s just the two of you reading manga, then it’s honestly pretty relaxing. You’ll share the book. The two of you somewhere reading a volume of hers or your current favorite manga to share in each other’s interests. Futaba will react as she’s reading, which is adorable, but don’t bring it up or she’ll stop. Sometimes she falls asleep, leaning on your shoulder. Maybe it’s good you two got out of the house.

➳ You were friends with Haru before you even began dating her, or even knew her. The local park had a community garden that both of you would go to and help tend every week. You didn’t even know she was a celebrity, just that she was a talented gardener. It was eventually how you two ended up together.

➳ It became a tradition for you two to once a week check on the garden with a few other community members, then take a walk together. While walking, you’ll pick a vendor of the week to buy treats for. It changes every week who pays, even though Haru repeatedly says she can pay over and over. It’s the principle of thing.

➳ The conversations tend to revolve around her trying to get ideas for Okumura Foods. It’s a bit consuming for her thoughts a lot of the time, especially after her father’s passing. You’ll try to pass back-and-forth ideas with her on new ways to help the company. Sometimes the goal of the ‘ideas’ is just to destress Haru and make her laugh. You give a few helpful ideas on occasion though, and she credits you frequently in her next meeting.
