What is it about an adult guy with a history of violence and trauma that makes you go “omg a child” like??? He’s in his 40s that man is an adult calm down with the whole “cinnamon roll” thing it’s so weird to say about anyone never mind Kevin. Like? Sorry did you listen to the same series I did.

can we get a “do not despair” post for spellwood too?? feeling pretty sad after part 3 and would really like to hear how they could turn it around
Sure! Strap in - this is gonna take some turns. And if Spellwood/Blackwood ain’t your thing, just leave m8 - it’s not for you.
Right. So.
Honestly, at this point - the only thing keeping anything about this ship afloat in canon is their history. We know they have one, but we don’t know much about it. I had really hoped, since they had cast an actor to play young!Faustus, that meant we’d be getting a backstory. But apparently, all we were getting was a 20 second scene that reveals very little.
However, it does reveal something.
1. The book Faustus had was clearly referencing old world Gods & goddesses and it would seem - his interest/study of the mystical (i.e. eldritch terrors) dated back to when he was a boy. Along with pretty much everything else about him, I would very much like to know WHY he had the desire to study that. Why was he so desperately searching for power at such a young age? And why was he looking for it beyond the religion he was born into, which gave him the gift of magick and promised limitless power to the “worthy” already? In essence - Faustus, WHO HURT YOU. Considering his view of women, I’m gonna guess whoever hurt him was one. Maybe his mother? Maybe both of his parents? Idk, but the little shit definitely got fucked over somewhere in his youth by someone he probably trusted. Said it before and I’ll say it again - he practically screams ‘child abuse victim’ (a la Draco Malfoy, if you need a reference) and I’ll stand by that until I’m proven wrong.
(I was also really struck by the line “that boy knows nothing of true Hell” which Faustus says to Lucifer after Nick beats him in the witch’s cell. What hell has Faustus been through himself in order to say that?)
2. That scene also showed us Zelda & Faustus studied together and were familiar enough with each other to notice a change in attitude (“why are you in such a snit?”) and snipe back & forth from what appears to be a very young age. Which seems to suggest they spent a fair amount of time together at (and possibly before) the Academy. Not a shocking or new revelation really, except it kind of confirms their relationship wasn’t a whirlwind romance and that Faustus asking for Edward’s permission to marry Zelda wasn’t on a whim.
The main questions I have following that scene are if that excerpt he ripped from the book was actually about Hecate and her power. If so, is her power more vast than we even understood by the end of part 3 (i.e. can even she defeat eldritch terrors)? And could the reason Faustus got so upset reading it be that it said only women can call on Hecate, thus thwarting his search for an absolute escape?
Something confirmed about interacting with mystical entities is that they can/will drive you mad. Ambrose says this after Sabrina returns from her quest and finds everyone dead - “Blackwood was driven mad and feral by his insane worship of those eldritch terrors he prays to.”
And if mysticism can drive you mad - and he’s studied/sought these things out since he was a boy - it stands to reason that he’s been slowly feeding and incubating that madness until it finally fucking snapped.
(Side note - an Acheron configuration, which will also drive you mad, is an arcane device from ancient magick, too. So maybe Edward studied these things with Faustus at one point together? Curious.)
We saw him experience a big and sudden shift in part 2 - where his faith in the Church of Night waned with every challenge to his authority by Sabrina. Things had been going along fine the 15 years or so of him being high priest, that maybe he was finally starting to trust his faith in the Lord Satan, until Sabrina showed up and started meddling with the order he’d established. And THEN - in a last ditch effort to take back control and become anti pope, she interferes again and Satan himself doesn’t even seem to care how heretical she’s been.
So back to the eldritch terrors he goes - setting a contingency and pledging his loyalties to them in exchange for protection and power. But they also want an offering (“oh, they like offerings, yes they do”). Proof of loyalty by blood. Solution - poison the coven. Here’s your offering - an entire building’s worth of souls. Bing, bang, boom - “we’ll hide you in this cozy time rift at Loch Ness and siphon every last bit of sanity out of you while you’re there. Oh gosh, they’ve found you and taken our gift egg from you. Well, we can’t have a repeat of that, so while you go pursue it - make sure you get rid of any ties to this reality that you may have. Anything that would hold you back from the glory we’re promising you. Destroy them all, if necessary. The twins can stay ‘cause you’ve raised them to be insane, too, okay off you go!”
But what’s this got to do with Spellwood? Well. The two go hand in hand, the way I see it and here’s where the very small bit of hope for them as a couple (very small) lies.
It’s apparent that, at least somewhere in their history together, Faustus wanted Zelda. She seems to be the only thing about the Spellmans he could ever tolerate and why? Well, perhaps because he cared for her, perhaps they found a common ground in feeling inferior their whole lives (hurt/comfort is kind of their jam), and/or perhaps he just found her attractive (understandable). And if he didn’t have any affection left for her by the time part 2 rolled around, I do not know why he’d continue to pursue her after she cut their physical relationship off. Zelda was going to gain power by marrying the high priest, but there was nothing in it for him beyond... having her as his wife. Which perhaps he truly had wanted since they were young together.
But then he realized it would be more complicated than he thought when Sabrina really amped up her interference with presenting Edward’s manifesto and accusing him of murdering her parents (still never explicitly confirmed, btw) (also still very curious about when he said ‘you haven’t even read mine’ to her at the wedding - makes me wonder if what was in it wasn’t as egregious as the Church of Judas tenants wound up being). And so - he put Zelda under the Caligari spell to keep her from helping her family while he destroyed them once and for all. Except her. ‘Cause he wanted her. Not until he found out she had betrayed him in hiding Leticia did he seek any type of ‘vengeance’ towards her directly. Then, though he was far from sane before, he went well and truly mental after that.
So I see it like this - if he was driven mad and used by the eldritch terrors, he didn’t really have a grasp on reality nor would he have understood what he was doing. He wouldn’t remember any earthly affection he might have for someone because his mind would be corrupted by other worldly things. Thus - a conscience, remorse, and reparation might be possible if they’re able to restore some humanity back to him.
It’s a long shot... by a lot, but in the same way Sabrina told Nick he couldn’t have known what he was doing while under the influence of the Dark Lord’s essence (which we can certainly open a healthy dialogue about taking responsibility for your actions no matter what you’re going through/under the influence of *clears throat*) - so, too, could be the case for Faustus.
If proven as such - and they can additionally confirm some backstory that, at one point, he and Zelda did truly care for each other - it might be possible to salvage the dumpster fire that is their current predicament. If done carefully and with a fuckton of explanation. That’s a lot of built up character history to waste.
(At the very least, just give me an explanation, RAS. I am BEGGING you.)
*slow exhale* Okay, I’m tired. And wow, that’s a whole novel. Okay. Right. Thanks for your question, hope this helped. Bye!

Cat and Mouse
Summary: Abe is on the trail of the madman Wilford Warfstache, time is an illusion, and the drinks are free.
A/N: (Looks through fics) Huh, I haven’t written Abe in a while, well, time to fix that.
Abe vaulted over a couple trash and screamed at Wilford as he chased him down. “Dammit Wil, stop running for five seconds, you ass!”
“Alrighty then,” Wilford almost purred in Abe’s ear. Then Abe was shoved forward, almost into the busy street in front of them. “Tag!”
The detective screamed, but fortunately stopped short of getting hit. Abe was one part terrified by his newest near death experience, and another part furious. “Wil!”
“Don’t you know how the game is played, old sport?” Wil chuckled, standing directly behind Abe. “Or have you gotten bored by our game.”
“I’m not playing around, douchebag,” Abe stood up, people giving the two of them a wide berth, other bystanders had their phones out and were recording them.
Wilford just laughed at Abe’s words and anger.
“You’re under arrest,” Abe told him.
Wilford looked a little puzzled by that, “That’s an interesting game, how do you play.”
Hovering somewhere in-between wanting to laugh, scream, and bludgeon Wil to death with a brick; Abe took out his cuffs. “It’s a simple game, you turn around and let me put you in these cuffs and take you down to the station.”
“Kinky,” Wilford grinned. “But I can’t play for long, I have someone to get back to.”
Abe fought the urge to just chuck the cuffs at Wil’s head, “No, you asshat, I’m bringing you to jail and this time you’re going to rot them longer than a couple hours.”
“Well how long is this game going to take?” Wilford questioned. “Darky’s going to get a touch upset if I don’t make it back in time for dinner.”
“I’m not playing games!” Abe spat. “You’re going to jail.”
Wilford shrugged, “Well now I’m confused is this a game or not?”
“It’s not,” Logic announced himself before he struck Wilford in the back with a TASER.
Time seemed to unnaturally clip itself forward, as if a force of nature physically jumped from one place to the next.
Abe’s feet landed on a roof. Wilford’s feet were landing on the opposite roof, still running away from them.
“What the?” Logan was almost knocked flat on his face.
“You’re not getting away,” Abe shouted, chasing after Wil as if nothing was wrong with them suddenly being on the roof. Abe seemed to clip through reality itself, as if the space in-between the two roofs folded enough for Abe to be able to jump to the next roof. “Get back here.”
“Detective! Wait it’s—” Logic called out.
Abe was already mid jump when he was calling out, his feet leaping from a concrete roof, and landing on the old cobblestone of Egoton’s Little Koreatown district.
On the other side of town.
“Wil! You’re not getting away that easily,” Abe threatened. “Stop running and just let me arrest you!”
Wil physically burst his way through a firework kiosk that five seconds ago hadn’t been there and a huge mortar firework in his hands, one big enough to almost be a cannon, as he whirled around to face Abe. “Arrest this!”
Abe cursed, trying to stop in time to avoid getting shot.
Logic dashed out of the nearby alleyway, summoning up some kind of holographic shield and bouncing the firework up to explode harmlessly up into the air.
Wilford, slightly smokey, huffed and pouted at the logical Side, “What was that for?”
Logic was panting from his run all over town, “I have been pursuing the two of your for three hours, and I am not going to do so again.”
“All that for little ol’ me,” Wilford chuckled. “Well aren’t you a delight?”
“Hasn’t been that long,” Abe defended, but Logan just looked over at him, his anger almost palpable through the visor and mask shielding his identity.
Wilford carefully set down the mortar and smiled, starting to inch back. Abe caught the action and immediately started chasing him again. This time Logic was able to keep up as the three ran through the street and appeared in a nightclub as if they’d been inside of it for at least a couple of minutes. Logan looked a little disorientated, but Abe began to try and push through the crowd, they parted almost immediately, showing Wilford was sitting at the bar with a huge smile.
The patrons all had his mask on, already under Wil’s mad influence.
“Detective and friend,” Wil greeted, martini in hand. “Nice of your two to drop by.”
“Wilford M. Warfstache,” Logan began. “We’re here to place you under arrest for: murder, theft, fraud, evading arrest, and conspiracy to commit murder. You have a right to remain silent—”
“Blah blah blah,” Wilford took his hand and pantomimed Logic talking, as Logan kept trying to read him his rights so they could actually arrest him.
“Hey, Warf has the right, doesn’t mean he’s got the ability,” Abe suggested sardonically.
“I suppose,” Logan sighed. “Are you going to come quietly, or are we going to have to make a scene?”
Wilford held up his martini, “I’d like to have a couple drinks instead. What about it gentlemen? Care to join me? This establishment usually gives me drinks for free?”
“Barkeep?” Wil called over his shoulder and a man with short-cut curly brown hair walked out. His lack of a mask was both a relief and disturbing for Logic.
“Yes, Sir?” The bartender sighed, clearly he was somewhat used to Wil’s antics but wasn’t ordering him out of his bar entirely.
“They give you free drinks because you have enthralled them,” Logic reminded. “They literally cannot deny you.”
Wilford just stared at him, confused, “So is that a no on the drinks. What about you Dave?”
“My name is Abe,” Abe spat back.
“Ahh, Steve, take a load off, have a drink,” Wil dismissed, trying in vain to get the straw of his drink into his mouth.
“Not my name,” Abe told him. “It’s Abe.”
“If you’re not going to come quietly, we’ll literally drag you to the station by force,” Logan warned.
“If you two insist on ruining a good time,” Wil shrugged, and then waved his hands and all the enthralled bar patrons seemed to move as if they had marionette strings attached to their bodies, or were zombies.
“Dammit,” Abe hissed, putting away his gun to take out a TASER. He didn’t want to kill the people under Wilford’s control. “Wil, just get over here and let me arrest you.”
“No can do boys, Darky says I’ve hit my quota,” Wil kicked back on the bar stool, and leaned back on the counter. “He told me if I got arrested again this month I was going to sleep in the cellar and I hate it down there.”
Abe and Logan fought their way through the crowd, trying to gently stun the entranced bar patrons. The Detective, as always, was the first to reach Wil.
Wil smiled, clearly excited to get into another fist fight with the detective, he set his martini down. Abe jumped at Wil, managing to punch him across the face. Their fight lasted just long enough for Logan to try and approach the two of them, trying to disable Wil, hoping that it would free the bar patrons and help them arrest Wil.
Unfortunately Wilford seemed to be inching closer to the nearest window, something that Abe was trying not to let happen.
“I don’t think so!” Abe pulled out his TASER and jammed it into the center of Wil’s chest. There was something familiar about the act that was trying to spark something in the Detective’s mind, but Wil did everything he could to ignore it.
Reality twisted and bent itself around Wil again, and suddenly Abe found himself slamming shut the bars of Wil’s personal cell in the police station, triumphant with himself. Once the bars were closed the whole cell gave a light hum, Marvin’s spell now working to keep Dark from getting in, or Wil from getting out.
“There you sick freak,” Abe told Wil who had a rather smug look on his face.
“Quite the good game wasn’t it?” Wil chuckled.
Logan was shaking his head, suddenly disoriented as he stumbled his way to the nearest phone to check that everyone at the bar was still okay.
“A game?” Abe balked. “I had to TASER about a dozen people, who didn’t deserve it by the way. You are a menace to society, and I look forward to transporting you back to jail, formally, again.”
“Everyone at the bar seems to be recovering,” Logan finally announced.
“Least no one died,” Abe took a calming breath. Wil was behind bars, no one was dead.
At the Detective’s words, however, Wil let out a booming laugh, “My dear detective, what type of game did you think we were playing?”
“We’re not playing a game!” Abe shouted. “You’ve shot and killed people. You should be stuck in a cell for all of time. I look forward to seeing you rot behind bars for the rest of your unnatural life.”
“So angry,” Wil chuckled. “Why? You won this round, ol’ friend.”
Abe’s eyes looked like they were going to bug out of his skull. “I’m going to kill you.”
Logan pulled him back, “Go and take a break outside, I’ll watch him for a bit.”
The Detective glared at Logan, but left, slamming the door behind him.
“So angry,” Wil’s voice was almost a purr. “Did something happen?”
“Get some rest, Warfstache,” Logan told him. “There will be time for another game later.”
Wil’s smile got wider as he walked over to the little bench that doubled as a bed. “I like how you think.”
By the time Abe walked back in, taking his time to smoke outside, Wilford. Who seemed to actually be asleep and Abe looked relieved. “Ugh, that was like pulling teeth. How long do you think we’ll have him?”
“Based on Warfstache’s statement and the fact that he seems to be actually sleeping? A couple hours at best, it depends on if Dark will free him quickly.” Logan looked over at the clock. “At least we won’t have to immediately deal with Dark storming into the station.”
“Think we could get him too?” Abe dared to hope.
“Only if we could adequately get the scope of Dark’s powers and abilities, his ability to use the Void even if trapped in an anti-magic force field is disconcerting, I think it exists in his very being.
“Well, that’s my allowance of hope for the day,” Abe decided. “I’ll start the guard rounds.”
“I’ll remain here for as long as I can,” Logan offered.
“Thanks,” Abe told him and Logan stayed in the room as the Detective rounded up some of the offices and guards. The routine was well established at this point.

Racism is real.
Excuse me for this, but I need to say something about what’s going on concerning these issues like that Karen and George Lynch. I will be real blunt here. If this offends you, don’t read it. First, Imma say this, there’s no such thing as post-racial America. Racism has always been here, but why? One if you think that racism exists because people talk about, you’re stupid af. Does Firemen talking fires create more fires? No. So stop that.
Tumblr media
As said by the quote, racism is about power, not morality. That’s why racism stays afloat in this country because it actually benefits it. Racism is privilege/predujice plus power. You must have power to be racist. Racism is about a system that favors one race over others. Racism is about targeting marginalized races through institutional violence or discrimination. Lynchings, blackface, segregated buildings, gerrymandering, racial violence and killings, gentrification, not serving marginalized races, workplace discrimination, persecution of immigrants, police violence, assimilation, economic/income inequality, mass imprisonment, racial profiling, sacred land being disrespected, poor environmental/economic/working conditions are examples. Our government is responsible for keeping racism alive, from the beginning to right now. They either supported it, let it happened, or did nothing. The 13th Amendment never ended racism nor did integration. I’m all for desegregation, but the push for integration was a waste because it did nothing to protect us (Black people) from racism, it just assimilated us. You can’t integrate without any social or economic justice. MLK warned us about it.
If we’re living in a post racial society, why are there still, KKK, Neo Nazis, and all types of fascists and white supremacists running around? Why are there still places that are segregated? I see this a lot in my home state Mississippi, and other southern states. And it’s not just there, it’s everywhere. There is just as much racism and segregation in other regions like the Midwest and the Pacific States. For example, progressive cities like Portland, Seattle, Austin, San Francisco, NYC, Boston and yes Minneapolis have racism. Why are worshipping racist imagery like the CONfederacy (it’s dead and no more), plantations, famous people that we known racists this includes politicians and presidents? We still have the issues of racism like the aforementioned ways of institutional violence and discrimination still going on and our government (alluvem) did nothing. They’ve let the beast grow stronger and it’s gonna continue until we stop it.
What I need to add about racism being still alive is that its been normalized and/or no one gave a damn about it. Racism is more than just hating on skin color or calling people racist slurs, stop looking at the Webster definition. Racism is also about ways how to support the racist system. Examples: Falsely calling the police, supporting a reason why a Black person or POC should get killed, policing Black people/POC on racism, denying racism, fetishizing us and our culture, complaining about us winning awards and pageants, getting roles that are usually reserved for whites, stereotyping, and moving on up in the workplace, All Lives Matter, what about Black on Black crime despite every race doing some crime, okaying removal of Indigenous land, supporting racist politicians, branding nonChristians as terrorists, supporting that immigrants should be treated terribly because they crossed the border despite the fact that this country is originally Indigenous land, angry about the kneeling protests, putting MLK in yo mouth, wisecracking jokes about us like something about welfare or unemployment, saying words like thugs, animals, ghetto, criminals to describe Black folks, issa lot. Here’s a pyramid too.
Tumblr media
But what about racism by Black people? Don’t be silly. We can be douches to y’all, but we (along with Indigenous people) can’t be racist to y’all because we don’t have the power to actively discriminate against y’all. If you want reverse discrimination, then look at Planet of the Apes. The apes are rulers of their planet, while the humans are oppressed. That’s what it looks like.
Now on the Karen (Imma call her on that) and George Lynch. So the Karen had the audacity to call the police on Christian Cooper because she couldn’t control her dog. This is a historical problem. Women like her have accused Black men of harming them, when it was a lie, and it got Black people killed. Emmett Till, Tulsa riots, Rosewood, Scotsboro Case, the Central Park Five are examples. On George Lynch, it was murder by the police. Police violence is institutional because it’s made to target marginalized people especially Black and Brown people, women, poor people, immigrants, LBGT people especially trans people (the ones y’all treat like garbage, despite the fact that all they wanna do is live life), and it’s not a few bad seeds, it’s a majority. There are cops that are good people, but that don’t mean anything. And the riots that happen, it’s not an act of recklessness, it’s a rebellion. Riots been happening since ever. There were riots when MLK was killed, the Vietnam War happening, when Black people were getting killed or brutalized by the police like Rodney King (LA), Mike Brown (Ferguson), Freddie Gray (Baltimore), and now George Lynch (Minneapolis). If you can’t put 1 and 1 together, then you’re the problem. These riots are because they’re angry at the system that keep targeting people like them. Keep in mind that these people are targeting corporations and the state not people. It really shows that you care about property than human lives. BTW, where’s all that energy for Tulsa and Rosewood, the KKK, Rioting over sports, Rioting over that creepy coach from Penn State, and those anti-quarantine protestors with racist imagery who’s armed with guns and been blocking ambulances? I don’t see y’all saying anything bout them. This also ties into other issues. Y’all have a problem with rebellious violence, but not a problem with going to another country and destroying it?
Tumblr media
I’m so dang tired, y’all and stuff like this happens not just the people who do it, but the people who refuse to acknowledge it or do nothing about it. Look at the quote above. If y’all ain’t gonna do anything about it, you’ve chosen a side. Lemme tell y’all something, your ignorance, apathy, apologism, colorblindless tone policing, and reactionary behavior contributes to stuff like this. If ain’t gonna be anti-racist, then sit down and shut up. Stop with this crap like I don’t see color or we’re the same. Our race matters. We ain’t the same as you. We’re different from you. We don’t have the same luxuries and lifestyles as you. Stop thinking we can make it far as you. We got blocks in our way. You don’t.
All the things that I’ve mentioned about concerning racism is why we kneel (I see nothing wrong with it). Y’all upset with people kneeling, but y’all think that all types bigots and reactionary trash should have free speech. Rioting happens because of injustice against marginalized people. If you can’t see that, you’re lost. As Malcolm X said, the chickens are coming home to roost. What about all that stuff they’ve taken? Screw dat stuff. These multi-millionaire and billionaire companies got the money to save themselves. Property can be replaced, not human lives. Speaking of that, why ain’t you mad that these corporations have doubled, tripled their wealth during this crisis?
Tumblr media
Now to allies because Imma see who y’all riding with. One of the worse things you can do is center yourselves or one of your kinfolk into issues like this. It’s not about you. If y’all are all talk, no action then you fake as hell. If you doing this cuz you saw the video, then it’s not genuine because you had all time to do so. If you see someone being racist or just being a huge reactionary ass, CALL THEM OUT ON IT! It’s time to hold these people accountable or if they can’t comply, cancel them. If you see someone doing something to Black people, stop em. There’s Google, y’all need to look up the history of Black people not only in America, but the world, because anti-Blackness is global. This includes Indigenous people too. Understand how colonialism work because that’s how stuff like this happens. Support Black people financially such as Mutual Aids, helping out when they’re down financially, and sending money to Black owned anything. The founder of Little Ceaser’s helped paid for Rosa Parks’ living. Fight for better working, living conditions for us. If you see something wrong, speak out. Don’t be a white savior. You ain’t doing this for validity. You’re doing this because it’s what you’re supposed to do. Don’t listen to the media, because they’re full of lies (alluvem). I’m finished y’all. Here some more quotes:

I am tired of people saying that my complaints about Daenerys becoming a villain/Mad Queen isn’t justified telling me: “You’re only complaining because you wanted a happy ending”, “They’ve been foreshadowing & dropping hints of Dany becoming the Mad since Season One”. Even the bull crap of “GRRM intended for Dany to become the Mad Queen”. YES I KNOW. That’s not my problem. You’re looking at a sucker for female villains & complex characters. I love Cersei Lannister even though she is a horrible human being & I would have loved for her to actually get to do something this last season besides stare out a window, cry, & drink wine. I love me some complex AF female characters, hella grey characters, bad-ass villain characters. What I don’t like is this sloppiness of how the writers are handling Daenerys rise & ultimately fall of being a Mad Queen.
They haven’t earned my praise & happiness about this bullshit storyline. It was rushed. There’s a difference between you saying they’ve been hinting/foreshadowing Daenerys becoming Dark/Mad Dany & them actually showing it. Yes, at least in the books you can be in Dany’s mind & see the questionable decisions she sometimes makes when she allows herself to give over to her violent tendencies & Targaryen ruthlessness. It’s why when the books come out (if they ever do) I have faith that GRRM will at least write a better rise to Targaryen darkness than D&D did on the show. It’s okay if you like Mad Dany & the way their handling her character. Just like I can have my opinions on the shit jump to Mad Queen Dany had. I’m not saying it isn’t plausible for Daenerys to go mad but it’s just so sudden that it was ridiculous.
It’s so sloppy that you can tell the writers are trying so hard to convince us Daenerys is such a terrible person that way they can justify Jon (or someone) killing her. Instead of putting in the work & actually trying they’re relying on the times that Daenerys has done some violent (sometimes questionable) things in acts of trying to do the morally good thing. Whether you agree with Daenerys killing (even though her executions are on the level of others like Jon who murdered a child who was manipulated by grown men to kill him). Most of Daenerys murders could be justified since she was killing bad people. Even if you claim the Tarlys & yes I could give you that Daenerys could’ve done something better & more rational way to punish the Tarlys for not bending the knee. But it’s war! Also, D&D (plus others) are making the bullshit claim that her reaction to Viserys being kill is a total “red flag” of her being mad. When Viserys threaten to murder her & her unborn child, abused her for many years, & touched her inappropriately. Her cold reaction means she’s mad but Sansa, Arya, etc. smiling when their enemies die isn’t???
Then D&D now care about the innocent people in a fantasy show & showing what happens to them. When they completely ignored the innocent citizens the entire series & NOW wants to show how they suffer. Even though they had plenty of war battles were they could have seen just the horrible spoils of war. No, they choose the Daenerys one where she goes Mad & burns innocents to show just how horrible war is. No, that’s just textbook manipulation to try and justify their approach to Daenerys going Mad. They decided to parade the innocent citizens showing Dany just slaughtering them all a little excesssively. Did they really need multiple scenes of Arya running around & children crying, & women screaming. The damn last shot of that mother & daughter’s burnt body holding each other. No they just wanted the audience to hate Daenerys so much at that point that way they don’t defend her. Then they can easily escape their terrible writing.
There is no violent thing Daenerys has done that would ever foreshadow her suddenly snapping & killing innocents AFTER Cersei surrenders. This entire time on the show we have seen Dany kill not innocent people (her enemies who have done terrible things). Even if she wanted to ‘rule with fear’ Dany was never that far gone where she couldn’t think “hm burning the Red Keep down with my Dragon & killing Cersei should enough to at least make them fear me.” Even if you make the bull shit case that D&D tried to make about the bells signifying all that she lost & how she makes it personal. What? So Dany hasn’t made it personal before? What did the random ass streets of KL do to Dany personally besides D&D’s fake “They symbolize” bullshit. Why wouldn’t Daenerys who is taking it personal fly straight to the Red Keep & destory it. It would’ve made more sense if after they surrendered Dany burned down the Keep & then just burnt all the Lannister Army even though they bent the knee. Then I could see that happening & it wouldn’t be so fucking drastic & I could justify it. But there has been no amount of foreshadowing that would even suggest Daenerys would just went & BBQ innocent KL civilians for like a hour plus.
Again I love female villains. Cersei is one of my favorite characters. They literally paid Cersei dust this season. I forgave D&D when they pushed the Night King aside for Cersei & I was SO excited. Then instead of actually utilizing Cersei being an amazing villain & having so many MORE parallels with the Mad King Aerys than Dany does (besides being his fucking Daughter). Like Cersei has the obsession with wildfire, she was tortured, & held in captive like Aerys. I saw some bull crap thing how Cersei couldn’t be “Mad” because her mass murders are more calculated & benefit her more. WHAT. Anyways, we had a chance for Cersei to do one crazy move during the Battle that really signified she gave zero remorse to her own Army & people just to win. Like there was wildfire for a reason she could’ve tricked Dany into setting it all off & killing innocents unintentionally. That way it could kickstart Mad Dany because she doesn’t know if it was her fault the innocents died & start her paranoia/fear with becoming her father & Cersei manipulating those fears not only on Dany but the people of Westeros. What the fuck did Cersei do instead? Fuck Euron, drink wine, & stare into the distance the entire last season. What a joke.
Daenerys journey parallels to Anakins. The whole “being a chosen one” thing & ultimately just going around Westeros (& Essos) fucking shit up. Except their not even going to give Dany the opportunity to embrace the full madness (slowly/developed) & like be able to rule. It would be so interesting to see Dany’s reign as a Mad Queen. Daenerys could have had such an interesting reign where she justified her murdering spree in order to free more slaves in Essos & to “break the wheel” in Westeros.
There’s so many bad-ass morally grey, anti-hero/villain, or just straight up female villains in pop culture & some of my favorites. If D&D really had a clue that they were going to make Dany a Mad Queen & Villain on the show. Not just for the sake of finding a reason to make sure she doesn’t win the Iron Throne or she dies w/o people being too upset. They had the opportunity to create the second greatest female in the show after Cersei. If it was truly writing on the wall from the beginning then they had a chance to make this build up epic. Instead of a sloppy 3 episode and then she dies. If they were really brave they could’ve killed Cersei off in season 6 since she hasn’t done anything eventful to the series since S6. They wasted Cersei for two goddamn seasons when it could’ve been Mad Dany rising & eventually being the true final villain of the show & it was earned. Look at some of my favorite fucking female villains.
Catwoman-
Tumblr media
They legit could have had Daenerys be this morally grey villain who switches between having heroic tendencies as villain-like tendencies. This is the Dany I thought they would go for where she’s a villain but sometimes it’s up to interpretations of her actions as a villain if they were truly ‘evil’.
Dolores Umbridge-
Tumblr media
Even though I think my hatred for Dolores is unmatched & the only hate I have that comes close to Dolores is probably my hate for Ramsay & Joffrey. But, they could’ve made Daenerys into a similar type of villain as Dolores. She’s literally so delusional and so out there that it makes you wonder if she truly knows what she is doing is wrong. I would much rather HATE Daenerys with a passion like I do w/ Umbridge than this weird area where I should hate what Dany did but I’m just disappointed that they did it in a sloppy way.
Harley Quinn-
Tumblr media
Even if they wanted to go the whole batshit over the top crazy girl who is such a fun & entertaining villain they could’ve went that route with Dany. Like because there was not enough build up of Dany being a villain when she gets there it’s not fun. There is no personality or flare to it & it seems flat. That’s not Emilia’s fault because she is acting her ass off & I can see Dany’s anger, grief, hurt. But like anger isn’t enough of something to make her an interesting villain.
Bellatrix-
Tumblr media
I would have loved to see them slowly just make Dany pure evil where she enjoys hurting people. People are mistaking Dany’s coldness for the death of her enemies as evidence that she is psychotic. No, we deserve a Dany who enjoys watching people suffer and in pain. We deserve a Cersei, Ramsay, Joffrey level of Mad Dany where we see her burning people alive & enjoying their screams & pain. Finding new ways to torture people with fire & being obsessed with torture, murder, & being psychotic. A Bellatrix level of Madness for Dany would be awesome.
Azula-
Tumblr media
One of my all-time favorite villains. Watching her legit hallucinate & just fall under the pressure of her father is so interesting. Azula truly became Mad & paranoid in the end. Seeing her chained & just shooting that fire everywhere sobbing & screaming was so devastating but interesting. Oh my God, to have Dany slowly just hallucinate things, become paranoid. If we got to see those hallucinations it would be so interesting. Then she becomes crazy then ultimately is defeated (let’s say her last Dragon dies). To see her legit sobbing, saying she’s not crazy, and eventually just spazzing out would’ve been TV gold & Emilia could’ve killed it. But no we get sloppy writing.
Jean Grey/Phoenix-
Tumblr media
Look I’m not going to have arguments of whether or not you think Jean Grey/Phoenix are villains etc. You can at least acknowledge that she is a VERY morally grey character. I just love the whole she loses control & she has so much power that she becomes unstoppable & has to be taken out. The sort of she’s not Mad or Crazy just one girl/woman consumed with so much power that she loses control & people could take advantage of that. Like when I was talking about Cersei manipulating the wildfire to make Dany truly doubt whether or not it was Cersei who did that or if it was her own fault. That the distraught of not only losing everyone she loved, everyone betraying her, but ultimately being responsible for the accidental deaths of thousands of people in KL. Like she didn’t listen to Tyrion and went for the Red Keep & soldiers & ended up accidentally setting off wildfire that killed everyone. Omg and like if Littlefinger was still alive and saw the power that Dany had & decided to manipulate her emotions for his benefit to slowly make her Mad & all this power consumes her. Its so obvious that D&D want their dramatic X-Men Last Stand Wolverine/Jean Grey moment with Jon Snow & Dany. They could’ve had it here if they tried instead of pulling this dumb shit.
You know what all these morally grey characters & villians have in common? It didn’t just magically happen. There were define moments where you could fully tell whether or not what this person did was good or bad. If you have to go in the behind the scene & tell us the “bad moments” then you didn’t write a character being a villain or Mad. If they took the same amount of time developing some of those iconic morally grey characters who all have villainous tendencies as D&D did with Dany I would hate these characters. Why? Because they wouldn’t be as fully developed & their journies wouldn’t be as interesting. D&D had plenty of source material that they left out from the books that could shown a darker Dany than they portrayed on screen. They don’t get to have it both way. They don’t get to make Dany such an iconic character who is known for her morally grey decisions but ultimately does it for a good reason but then don’t develop her any further or show more of her darker side. Then get shocked when you have to explain and there’s backlash behind her becoming Mad! But just chalking it up to genes & “oh well she’s a Targaryen what did you expect” is not enough & I will not have someone try to explain it to me like I’m a child when I can see they just neeeded an easy way to get rid of Dany.
Ultimately, I can’t change what the writers did it’s just sad. For all those people who say “well if you don’t like it why don’t you write it” or “everyone is a writer nowadays”. True, but I’m legit going to school for screenwriting so maybe I will make my own morally grey/villainous character one day. I guess we’ll never know. I just think we all deserve better. Daenerys deserves a better send off, Emilia deserves a better send off, & we deserve a Mad/Villian Daenerys that was earned & not choppily put together. Everyone is allowed to have their opinions so if you believe that Dany becoming Mad was great writing then I will give you that. I wish I could see it. But I can’t.

À̷͝b̴͏̷̶͏a̢̨͜͠͞ǹ̢͏d̴̴̢͜o̸̧͘n҉͏e͟͡d̸̴̛͢͢ ̶̨́͢b͟͡y͢͞͝͏̨ ̷͘͜͡G͢ǫ̷̧͟ḑ̕͠ ̷͠ Chapter 3, a Wonderful Reunion, Part 1, Part 1, The Beginning of a Storm.
There was a certain rhythm to the steps echoing quietly through the room, two pairs of steps, It started off as two predators circling each other, deciding who would have to leave the territory first. His vision was gone but his quiet narration and sensitive ears told him Anti was eight feet away. The other was impatient, and it showed with the stiffness of his smile. Actor didn't need eyes to see Anti was a wild one.
Tension hung heavy in the air, but the two glided through, unfazed, their minds somewhere else as they continued to go around at a steady pace. Actor spoke first, his words confident, clear, bold and just what was need to break the ice.
"It's rude to go around stealing what is not yours, Dear Anti."
Anti responded by stopping and spinning on his heel, now going to another way, Actor immediately reciprocating the action, keeping the balance. The stolen faces grin loosened up to now more of a comfortable madness.
"I ͠fi̵n̶d ͜it̀ ̵ru̶d͟e͠ ͜to h̕i̕t̶ ̧s͏o͢m̷eòne͜ wìth ͠a ͝me҉tal̢ bat ̢b̷e͘f͠o͢re ̵the̡y c̡an͏ ̵make a̷ ͘p͏lea for ҉the͠i̧r life.͜"
This time it was Actor to twirled around to change what he could only call the beginning of a waltz, Anti copying the motion with child-like glee. A chuckle bubbled out of Actors' throat and he swung the bat aimlessly, testing its weight in his hands.
"I find it extremely rude that you dared to show your face here, might I ask for what you're doing at Ego Inc? Or more importantly, In Darks void?"
Or what had used to be Darks void... The footsteps grew stiffer as both parties glared at each other.  Antis' knife appearing in Greens' hands and Actor bat swung upwards to rest in his other hand. Neither one made any move to change the movement of the conversation.
"͜O͞ne͡ ̀o̡f̶ t͟he m͞ost p͏ai͞n̡f̀u͡l͘ t͢h̡or҉n̷s i͞n m͜y sidè ̴i͝s̶ c͝r̨u̸m̡b͠ling ̷to͠ no̷thing a͝n͢d̡ yo͟u͡ e͟x̛pe̡c͢t ̕me n̶ot ͘to̡ c͡o͝m̸e̕ he͜re ̸an͡d r̷ub̡ his f͝a͡ilur͞e͢ in͞ ͢h̨i̸s͘ ̴f̵a̕cȩ?"
Actor quickly two-stepped in the opposite direction he was going, guiding the waltz to change.
"Pride goes before the fall my friend, you really wanted to risk meeting an unstable Dark to gloat?"
He ends the musing with a sharp smile and bat lowered.
"You're a bigger imbecile than Dark implied you to be."
Anti suddenly yanks the waltz to his will with a grimace and Actor suppress a sigh and moves with him.
"Oh̴ ̵real͏ly no͏w?͘ At ̧l̨east͢ I̵ ̨killed́ ̢J̸ac̕k,͞ ͜Y̕ou͟ ͜ju̧s̨t ͢had͢ ͟Mar҉k ̡rippéd ͝f̀r͠ơm͠ yo̧u̢ŕ ̵finge͏ŕti͟p̶s̡ bý a͘ ͠l̛ųn̕a̕tic!҉"̛
It is only then Actor realizes how close they are, his ears supply Anti is now four feet away. He doesn't know what it is, but there is something about this little dance of theirs that Actor can't help but enjoy. Actor takes a deep breath and for a moment he smells chaos brewing. It was like seeing two dying stars collapsing together, their madness bringing them together and for a moment he considers looking into the future to see if Anti would kill him in his sleep.
"You think Mark has got away that quickly? Like you just said, Wilford is a lunatic, You think he's gonna survive? Heh, I'm afraid it isn't just Dark you've underestimated."
Actor stops in his tracks and turns to face his new acquittance and almost partner in chaos if he played his cards right.
"So, tell me Anti. Have you underestimated me as well?"
Anti stops two feet away, the intricate dance far from over but now taking on a different form.
"Something tells me you are in need of a stable body, and something tells you I'm gonna be able to get that for you, am I right?"
Actor hums fondly and chuckles, continuing with a small smile and pieces together Anti lied to him about one small thing.
"I'll get you a stable body if you assist me in causing chaos for the other egos."
"I̡ ́d̸on̢'̶t ne͜ed͝ ̢h̛e͞l҉p͢ get͘t̵i̸ng mę a b͡ody͡."̛
"Yes, but I believe you're going to need a stable one. One that won't crash."
Anti uses his mind's eye to look at Greens stolen form, and the way it glitches.
"One that wouldn't betray you. One that won't try to rip control from you at every turn, and I know just the one to use, and where to get it."
Greens’ body glitches and sputter under the force of Antis’ sudden annoyance.
"I̕ ̷d̛o̸n't͝ ͘need yo̡ur̴ ̢h̛élp҉.͜"̵
"I don't need your whining, You want a stable body, I can get that for you. I need someone to help me kill the rest of the egos, Do we have a comprise or what?"
Using the words 'comprise', and "Help' was no mistake. Actor knew he was a young ego, only just being brought into control a few hours ago. He had to get someone on his side, and who better than the infamous Glitch Bitch himself. A well-known character with a taste for murder and chaos. It was too perfect, too perfect of an opportunity to pass up.
Actor might not have known what Anti was thinking at the moment, but the hand Anti had extended for what Actor identified as an invitation for a handshake told him this was a partnership with their own craziness as the binding contract, and soon bloodshed as their signatures. Actor smiles like he never has before, there was a certain ease to it, and Actor could sense Antis glare of uncertainty but a malicious smirk was present that promised good times. Maybe the beginning of his existence could be fun after all.
The building was not as beautiful as it once was. The once reflected windows on the outside had either broken or covered with dirt. The few windows that were left untouched dimly reflected the moonlight, giving off an eerie glow. Amy turned her car off and stepped out, facing the run-down building. The road behind her bend around the structure keeping it hidden, but Amy knew writing how to get to what had once been somewhat of a home to her. All that was left now was a rotting building and a cold chill biting her skin through her jacket.
She missed them, all of them, even the egos who had kept their distance from her. She loved them. They were her friends. They were her friends throughout and Mark decided to go and abandoned them for what? For 'Her safety'? For 'The fans safety'? She didn't believe it. The egos could be quite the group but the fans were fine, she was fine. They would never hurt her. Never.
Taking out a torch and shining it towards path up to the door. The glass door itself was almost in good condition, but as Amy drew near she saw that pieces of the glass had broken off, the door barely on its hinges. Amy reached out to grab the metal door handle. God, it was cold. God, why did she leave them alone? She could only imagine that they were just as cold as the building, and with that thought, she pushed the door open. It took some strength to do, as the metal hinges had rusted long ago. Now inside, Amy saw the damage done to the interior.
The lobby was a mess, The chair and table turned over, wallpaper paper torn and faded, wires hung low from the ceiling, and a terrible melting smell caused Amy to cough as he scrunched up her nose as she adjusted to the smell. The large desk was still left untouched still at the front. She considers calling out to the egos or at the least Oliver, as it was his job to guard the front desk, but there was a different atmosphere in the lobby. It scared her, There was an oppressive force here, and Amy did not want to upset it.
Getting closer, Amy spotted a small note on the long-abandoned desk, a small yellow post-it note with matching neat white writing. With a shaking hand, she picked the note up and looked closer.
'Dear Sunshine,
Hello! And welcome to Ego Inc! You're probably wondering what happened here, and unfortunately, I can no longer stay here to greet people in the lobby. So this is for you because you were so unlucky enough to find this place! c; So, let me offer you some advice.
Behind my desk is a wall, and at the lower right corner near the floor is a button. Press it.
Next, Go to the phone on the left side of the desk and press these numbers in this order.
'01101000 01100101 01101100 01101100'
Then, press the button labeled 'Dial' in the center of the interface and then pick up the phone. I'm running out of space, so I programmed something to help answer some questions you might have. After all Amy, you're probably wondering where we are right?'
Her blood freezes, her breaths hitches, and her eyes are drawn to the desk.
Does she do it?
.
..
...
She crouches down only to see the button is a small and stripped in three colors. Red, Green, and Blue, with faded writing across the top. The button is also slightly warm, perhaps there was some kind of electricity running through to keep the circuits from freezing. It takes more strength than was expected to be needed, but with a small grunt and both hands, the small button yields, She wonde-
SHING
She whips around only to see metal binds have locked the lobby down, and red lights flashed Amys' vision as pain courses throughout her brain. The white light of her torch goes dark as it falls from her hands. There is no noise, but she is still startled. It takes a while but some her eyes adjust as Amy turns her attention to the phone on the desk behind her. Maybe Oliver had her lock down the building so that the others could be safe. It's not like it matters, she wasn't planning on leaving anytime soon.
This was wrong, there was something so wrong here. But that's not what she was worried about right now. What she was worried about was the correct input of the number into the phone's keypad.
'01101000...'
She bit her lip.
'01100101...'
She exhaled slowly and then held her breath,
'01101100...'
Please be okay...
'01101100'
Please.
'Dial.'
...
She picks up the phone hastily, wanting to see what would happen next as she pushes down the almost overwhelming dread in her stomach.
"Hello?"
"Greetings Dear User."
The voice was mechanical but somewhat friendly, Amy didn't notice what was wrong with it. She didn't care, finally, she knew at least he was alive, she heard his voice
"Oliver?! What's going one? Where are you guys!?"
"I can't believe it."
Amy didn't know when or how, but tears were now running down her face.
"I can't believe it either Oli, Now-"
"I seriously cannot believe,”
"I know, just-"
“That you fell for that.”
