#How is tumblr not flooding with today's Dracula Daily letter? Am I doing my tumblr research right?#This is my favourite part in the book. I've been waiting for this letter to arrive#I love Morris and Seward and their very different but very sweet proposals#so in line with their personalities and their respective relationships with Lucy and how honestly they like her and want her friendship#I didn't like Dracula much but I was all over this when I read it years ago and so very into their friendship with Arthur as well#Nooooo I want more. I was hoping for a tumblr party or something. Jokes awwwing meta fanart. The whole pack#I feel like a whiny little kid and this is half a joke but goodness I sincerely hope I'll find more content about this letter xD#I talk too much#I should probably delete this later#And I should make my own content and stop complaining#but I wanted to play with more kids lol#Okay I've found more content now. I'd want to drown in it but I'm mildly satisfied for now. Hoping more will come#Quincey Morris was my favourite but this time I'm growing fonder still of Seward#Arthur are you really that forgettable or am I just terrible at remembering you?#He kind of gets totally eclipsed by John Seward and Quincey Morris doesn't he?#He's sweet and I like him too but I can't help but feel that way#I think this is enough tags and now I can safely tag them#Quincey Morris#John Seward#Jack Seward#Arthur Holmwood#Lucy Westenra#I've written so much I don't even know whether the tags will work on my own blog oof

Dinner Time
Tumblr media
Summary: Reader makes Spencer his first homemade dinner after getting out of prison, and they both realize he's got some adjusting to do.
Couple: Spencer Reid/Fem!Reader
Category: Hurt/Comfort
Content warnings: Eating, mentions of weight loss, hurt Spencer, ambiguous ending
Word count: 1k
Tumblr media
Spencer sat at the small table in your kitchen. You set it up with funky-patterned napkins, an extra big spoon, and a used candle lit in the middle; the whole shebang. You prepared his serving of your vegetable soup, the meal he requested to celebrate his arrival home. “Are you comfortable?” You ask as you hover over the stove.
He nods and picks up his napkin, observing the pattern and weight. “Where did you get these?”
“Your mom found them when we were shopping. She said they reminded her of your socks. Isn’t that sweet?”
He blew air through his nose before saying “Wow.” He rubbed his thumb along it, following the vivid stripes. You didn’t want to tell him how she teared up when she spotted them. How she held the set close to her chest made you feel sorry that she remembered without help.
“She took it as a sign you were coming home.” Half true. More like you convinced her it was. She asked you to buy them for that reason, to celebrate. “And now here we are.” You beamed as you say the words.
“That’s wonderful.” He looked up at you and smiled. You saw it in your peripheral as you opened a pack of oyster crackers. You knew he wanted to thank you for making time for her. He wanted to, but you insisted the thank yous were enough after he said it the fifth time in 24 hours. You flashed him a brief grin as a muted response, and he appreciated it.
“Alright,” You held the bowl carefully, mistakenly filling it to the brim. Due to the sheer joy of having him home, safe, and innocent (in the eyes of the law), you almost didn’t notice he had lost weight. The first time you saw his spine after getting out of the shower, you didn't even think it was possible for him. “Extra potatoes, per your request, mon amour.” You emphasize your terrible French accent which makes him chuckle.
“Merci, mon amour.” His flawless accent almost ruined the joke.
“Okay, show off, so happy you're home.” You sneered, and his smile was even wider. You grab your own bowl and sit by his side. His elbows somehow naturally find their way to the table, boxing in his soup like he was cornering prey. Spoon in hand, he dipped in the hefty bowl. Then he shoveled in some of those extra potato chunks with some tomato-y broth. Hungry, you thought, as he leaned over the bowl, steam gliding over his rough stubble. He took a second and third bite, despite his mouth being nearly stuffed.
You didn’t say anything at first. You didn’t want to imagine the food he had to eat or meals he might have skipped because of poor quality (or other reasons). As he chewed hastily, for a moment, it gave you hope he'd gain weight quickly.
But then he reached out for his water to drink like he needed to soothe something too spicy.
Or something too hot.
“Honey?”
Bite four, five, and six. He chewed.
“Spencer.”
“Hm?” Bite seven, eight —
You put a hand on his arm and Spencer’s head immediately turned to you. It made you pull back, not touch him. His face was red and his mouth hung open, similar to a dog sticking its tongue out to cool off. “Spencer. You can let it cool.”
He swallowed, not chewing enough, and it pained him. “I can’t. I want to finish before bed.” His tongue barely touched the roof of his mouth as he spoke.
“Are you that tired?”
“No.” His eyebrows furrowed at the question, looking just as confused as you. “We only have 30 minutes for dinn—” And somehow his face of realization was even more upsetting to witness. There's a silence, brief but heavy as his whole face fell and he covered his eyes with one hand. “I’m sorry.” He sniffles.
“It’s not your fault.”
"I'll… take my time." He leans on his elbow and looks down at his meal, staring, waiting for the steam to stop. It was seconds later that his eyes were lined with tears again.
You were afraid to ask the question. “How’s your mouth?”
“It hurts.” He bites his lip as tears trickle.
You drop your spoon and scoot your chair closer to his. You ask him to sit up straight and drink water. Once he’s done that, drinking as much (or as little) as he can tolerate, you gently press his face into your shoulder. Tears collect on your skin, but you keep him close and encourage him to let it out.
And he does. His chest caves with every sob he's locked away for two months. His arms wrap around your waist, the first time he's touched you since he’s been home, apart from the delightfully suffocating hug you trapped each other in when he was released. And for a moment, you’re hit with the reality that the Spencer you’re holding has changed. His survival instincts are still active, you're just now noticing it.
You still hold him as he heaves. You rub his back to let him know you’re still here, but you stare at the blank wall in front of you. Your head is spinning, running through therapists to call and books to read that could help you. To help Spencer. Because that’s what he needs.
Spencer pulls away for a minute to look over his soup.
“It’s still there.” You say, and wipe his tears with your thumbs. “No one’s taking it, I promise.”
“It’s going to get cold.”
“I’ll heat it up again, don’t worry.”
Spencer looks down at you as you hold his face. The dark circles around his reddened eyes were prominent, and you brushed the mess of curls off his forehead. Tiredness isn’t enough. He’s scared. From what he’s seen or become, you don’t know. But his stubble pokes your skin and you realize that you don’t know what to do. As you look at the man you love, you wonder how much you can do to help. You hope you can help.

back at you
(peter parker x reader)
summary: the five times peter stood you up and the one time you did it back.
contents: angst, hurt/comfort, fluffy ending.
  . • ☆ . ° .• °:. *₊ ° . ☆
i. empire state building
"hi love!" peter waves at you before sitting down on the bench with his arms around you. "i miss you."
"hi pete," you say back, planting a small kiss on his nose.
"are you free tonight?"
"if i purposely forget about my stoichiometry homework then i am," you grin.
he laughs at your joke, "i want to take you on a date on top of the empire state building. we haven't been on a real date lately and i've been a really terrible boyfriend for that reason so i want to fix things up. so- er what do you say?"
"sure, i'll be there," you answered.
"no, i'll pick you up at six and swing you up there," he insists.
"i've never been swinging in a thin sticky line before. i don't know how to feel about this offer," you make a face.
"come on it'll be fun i promise! just hold on to me and i will make sure you're safe."
"alright," you smile at him under the may spring weather.
when evening came, you were picking out outfits to wear to the date. you don't want it to be too much, because you'll be swinging high up in the air. you picked a comfortable outfit, ready to wait for peter to arrive at your door.
but he didn't come.
fifteen minutes have passed and still- no calls or messages.
you began to worry, thinking he's in a spider-man trouble but you believe in him to know that he will escape any inconveniences because he's smart and agile.
an hour has passed. no calls or texts.
you felt disappointed. you were really looking forward into this because peter's life has been replaced with spider-man lately and you've been replaced by new york city.
thirty minutes later, peter called you, saying he was sorry for not making it.
"hey lovely, i'm sorry. i really am. please forgive me, there's a robbery on the subway and it took me quite sometime to beat them all up," he says breathlessly with the sound of the wind.
"oh yeah that's fine," you say, trying to hide your disappointment but he hears right through it. "are you okay?" you ask him.
even with your disappointment, you still asked him how he is after the fight.
"i'm quite alright. i can pick you up right now and we can head to the empire state building right now."
"pete, i have to finish my stoichiometry homework."
"i will do it for you."
"have you finished it?"
"no," he admits, a beat of silence filling the line.
"well, i will see you tomorrow then. good night."
"good night, i love you, sweets!"
"love you too," you say before ending the call.
ii. ice cream
you met peter two days later, his state more jagged somehow. new bruises and scars on his face. you notice how he now wears long sleeves instead of the normal graphic t-shirt he wore with a science joke screen printed on them.
"hi pete," you reach for him, taking his hand in yours.
peter smiles a lopsided smile.
"i haven't seen you since our supposedly date day," you say, "are you all right?"
"i'm sorry about that," he replies, scratching his nose which made the dried scar torn open. "ugh-"
you pull out a napkin from your bag, folding it before pressing it against his bleeding skin. "who did this to you."
"no one, i just fell while swinging," peter says, kissing your hand that rests in front of his lips.
"this is not a bruise, it looks like someone did this to you," you say.
"let's forget about this okay?" he takes both your hands. "an ice cream date tomorrow?"
"sure," you reply.
"hey you didn't sound too pleased with that," peter remarks.
"i'm just worried pete, what if being spider-man makes you dead?" you say.
"stop, i'm not going anywhere," he assures you as he squeezes your knuckles. "tomorrow at three?"
"three in the morning or evening," you ask jokingly.
"at dawn, sweetheart," peter plays along. "i'll be there tomorrow. meet me at the ice cream shop okay?"
"i will," you agree. "let's go home, it's getting late."
"i'll walk you home," peter insists, throwing his arms around your shoulders.
as the two of you walked home, peter's spidey tingles were tingling. he ignores it at first but then sirens came so he looks at you sadly. you nod, urging him to help the police.
"i'm sorry love, please text me when you get home. i love you," he yells as he disappears behind an alleyway.
"bye, i love you too," you whisper, starting to walk back home.
the next day came and you are now sitting on a booth inside the ice cream shop. the time is now three o'clock sharp and you are waiting for your boyfriend to walk through the door. your eyes are glued to the street outside, wishing every person passing by is peter parker.
three thirty, and still no peter. the waitress asks you for your order but you decline it, saying that you're supposed to be meeting someone.
three fourty five, still no peter. you wonder how pathetic you look sitting here in the warm dim light alone surrounded by sweet couples.
you start to worry about him, then you start to question yourself on why you're here alone. peter was supposed to be here forty five minutes ago. he was supposed to be here sipping milkshake and inhaling mint leaves to make you laugh.
you fumble with your fingers, heart tripping and falling with no safety net.
the waitress you talked to earlier came with a tray of strawberry ice cream with a sympathetic look on her face. "here, for free. if you were a cartoon character, there'll be a cumulonimbus cloud hovering over your head," she says, pushing the tray to you.
"oh thanks," you say tiredly, "you don't have to y'know, think i'll be leaving soon anyways."
"it's fine. my manager wouldn't be happy to see someone sitting here without ordering any of our menus," she declares.
"but you said it's for free?," you say.
"she wouldn't know. it's a gift for me to you because clearly your 'someone' is supposed to be here but they aren't. hope this makes it up."
"thank you, dorothy," you read off of her name tag.
four fifteen, still no sign of peter but the tv above the counter was showing a scene of spider-man fighting a criminal on top of a roof high up.
you sigh, eyes shooting bullets at the tv screen.
you pack your belongings before heading back to your home. once again, peter stood you up.
"oh my god," you screamed when you heard a crash behind you. you reluctantly turned around, only to see peter on the ground with his hair messy and unruly. "are you fine?"
peter stands up, shaking the dusts off of him. "love i'm sorry! i'm sorry! i'm-"
"peter, it's fine," you put on a smile, even though your intonation screams disappointment.
"it's not, just because you're smiling doesn't mean i didn't mess up," he says apologetically.
"you have your duties. i can't force you to throw it away like how you do your chores."
"don't make jokes now," peter sighs, "are you still up for it? i'll buy you every menu in there."
"i'm tired. i've been sitting inside there for over an hour i just want to go home," you admit.
"at least let me walk you home," peter insists once more.
"okay.." you start to walk away down the block.
"i'm sorry, honey. please forgive me! how about we move this to tomorrow?" he asks.
"i don't think you'll like it there," you say.
"hmm? why's that."
"because i think i fell for the waitress that was there," you try to joke around to make him feel less guilty. he already has so much on his shoulders and you don't want to be one of his baggages too.
"who? i'm not letting a stranger take you away from me," peter makes a salty face.
"secret," you giggle. peter takes your face between his hands before planting sloppy kisses around your face.
now it's like everything is perfect. peter kissing you under the sparkling lights of new york's buildings on the sidewalk.
iii. star wars marathon
"ah y/n hi sweetheart!" aunt may opens the door to greet you. "peter told me you were coming over for movies"
"hi aunt may, is he here?" you ask her as you take off your jacket and put it on the rack.
"i thought he was coming with you?"
"oh yeah! i was supposed to meet him at the skatepark but he told me to go here first," you cover up for him. peter hasn't told may about spider-man yet and you want to keep him out of trouble.
"oh alright, have you eaten dinner?" may asks.
"i'll wait for peter first, aunt may, thank you."
"you can wait upstairs, peter wouldn't mind," aunt may offers.
"i know," you smile at her before coming up the stair to his room.
you opened his bedroom door, taking in the surroundings. his room is extremely messy. like a wrecked ship. you climb up his bed, making yourself comfortable on his bedsheets.
it has been hours since you arrived and peter still wasn't here. he was taking so long to the point where you feel asleep in his bed.
you felt sick in your stomach. all you ever hope for is peter's safety out there.
you woke up when a crash was heard from his fire escape. your body jolt up, your full attention is now on his fire escape.
"oh y/n! i forgot about our movie date!" peter say once he saw your face. "i'm so sorry, please believe me. i was looking forward to it but i i got carried away! oh s-"
"pete, come here," you say sternly.
peter freezes, looking at you like a deer in headlights. he is ready for your scolding as he walks over to you but his thoughts were quickly pushed away when you rub his arms tenderly.
"what happened, darling?"
"nothing too bad," he lets out a breathy laugh. "you should see the other guy."
"no i don't want to see whoever did this to you," you say in disbelief. "stay here, i'll help you with these," you point to his new scars.
"i have super healing, it's fine, love," he assures. "just come here please. let's watch star wars together."
"um i think it's getting too late," you say much to peter's disappointment.
"what do you mean? it's only eight thirty, we can watch one movie!" he starts to replace his suit into his pajamas, ready to watch with you.
"i have to get home, my mom needs me to... uh wash her dishes," you tell him. it's not that you didn't want to watch with him. you're too moody and upset to be around him for now.
he has been absent for dates three times in a row and you feel like you were fighting alone.
you left peter alone in the bed. you can practically feel his melancholia floating through the air.
"hey aunt may, i'll be going now," you bid goodbye to her.
"oh goodbye sweetie," she says. "make sure you get home safe alright? peter should walk you home!"
"that won't be needed, i'm fine aunt may."
"all right," may smiles warmly at you despite the cold air of the night.
when you arrived home, peter has sent you twenty five messages in a row. each of them being
'i'm sorry'
'please answer me, love'
'get back to me when you're home safely."
'pls get home safe'
'i love you'
and those messages over and over again.
iv. science laboratory
since that day, peter calls you over and over agin wishing you'd pick up. and you did.
you answered his call only for him to say that he was sorry and he's going to plan a date again.
you were tired of him asking you for dates and ended up being alone. you rejected his offer, saying that you have some family stuff so you won't be able to make it.
and peter knows
he knows that you're upset he has been leaving you alone on dates.
so the only time left for him with you is for the lab homework. you two are lab partners and you had suggested to do it in your house.
firstly because you don't want to walk home alone in the dark, and secondly, you don't want to lie to aunt may again. knowing that one way or another, peter will probably get home late.
you sat on your sofa, waiting for him to knock on the door. you place out the text books on the tables, set out glasses of water, take out some snacks from your fridge. and peter is not even here.
waiting for him has got you tired so you decided to do the work done yourself.
you already got most of the answers required then peter shows up; drenched in sweat and blood at your window.
you heard the tapping from below and immediately sprint upstairs, knowing it is peter.
"hey, uh i'm sorry," he winces as he steps inside your bedroom.
"hey pete, it's fine," you say, trying to assure him. "come in, let me fix you up."
peter nods, letting you take care of him. "you sound tired," he points. "are you alright, love?"
"that question should be asked to you!" you reply. "okay, here, just sit in my bed, it's fine."
peter does as you say, "sorry about this," he waves his fingers at himself with a bitter laugh. "and also our lab work. sorry."
"it's fine," you say again as you wipe the blood off his face gently. "i've done the work, most of it. you can finish the rest."
"what?" peter asks wide eye. "i- i was supposed to do that with you!"
"pete, calm down. i will let you finish the rest here. you look terrible."
"huh," he breathes. "nothing too bad."
"are you sure you could still do the lab homework?" you say, worried.
"yes love i am capable," he puts on a convincing grin.
"okay..."
peter starts to do the work while you rub his back soothingly. "if you're tired, that's fine. take a nap in my room."
"no i'm not," peter scrunches his nose, eyes squeezing shut.
"okay..." you continue.
v. chocolate cups
that night, peter has asked you to go on a date. and you didn't have the heart to reject him in such state.
the way he smiles when you said yes can melt every butter in the world.
he planned to go to the new chocolate themed place. from the advertisements, it shows to be an ideal date place for a romantic relationship.
you waited there, on the front. waiting for him. you actually has hope this time of peter showing up.
the place was cute and warm. displaying an unreal scenery. you saw couples walking in and you smile at them discreetly. they looked incredibly happy and in love. you can't wait for peter to get here so you can have the same happiness as they do.
you stand there, in the middle of the porch. he is already thirty minutes late. you see pity looks sent to you by people around. but still had hope.
but as each second passes, your faith in him was fading. you didn't know if new york really hates you or it's just a coincidence that whenever you and peter were supposed to be on a date, the city will have something coming up.
you decide that your waiting was too long so you come home. it was humiliating to say the least. the way other people looks so happy while you were feeling crestfallen.
those pity looks didn't make anything better either.
although you understand peter, being spider-man is hard. you have to constantly push your personal life aside to save the whole city from dangers.
a part of you wishes he didn't push you aside like his other things.
vi. the one time
days after, when you are calmed down from that upsetting and humiliating day, peter told you about this dinner place that he was looking forward to trying.
he knows you love culinary and this was perfect for the both of you.
you agree to going there with him, making a promise to be there.
he promised whatever happens in the city, he's sure it's nothing the police can't control.
the day came and you we're fighting your own mind about going or not.
you believe in peter. he's your boyfriend. he does not break promises. but there's always something coming up in evenings like these.
there's always something avoiding you two to be together.
so with the conclusion, you stayed at home.
peter on the other hand was worrying on the table he rsvp-ed. not only you haven't arrived yet but also you weren't answering his calls.
the worst possible scenarios come to his head. clouding up his thought in a fog of bad dreams.
he does think that he deserves this. having the humiliating feeling of when your significant other didn't show up on a date, in a room full of tenths of people with their pitiful eyes.
he couldn't wait no more so he goes straight to your home, hoping that you were there.
it was raining heavily, his neat shirt that you had given was soaked. his hair is dirty with mud and dirt.
and you are. you were reading a book in the dim lit bedroom. he knocks on your window hastily, hoping that you can hear him outside in the rain.
"peter?" you spoke. making your way to your window, the sight that flashes before you was unexpected.
you didn't think peter would actually show up so saving your energy by staying at home and get 'sorry' messages were expected. but not this.
"peter what are you doing?"
"did you forgot?" peter asks sadly, shivering from the cold rain.
"about our dinner?"
"...yes."
"i just thought you wouldn't show up. and i don't want to be in a situation like our previous date plans," you admit, feeling guilty.
"we made a promise, didn't we?"
"yes, pete. i'm sorry. i'm just so tired of standing alone in a room. i'm not going to let that happen to me anymore. i thought something was going to come up because that's what happens in our date. every one of them."
"but we promised. you didn't trust me enough to keep my promise?" peter asks, heartbroken by the thought.
"no! that's not what i'm implying. you always put new york's happiness above mine and i just- i don't know. doesn't seem fair. new york has its own police, government, and what not but you are my boyfriend. my best friend. i miss being with you. like actually being with you."
"love, i didn't realise how much i've been pushing you aside for this city. and you're right. i am your boyfriend and i'm supposed to make you happy- not neglected. i'm sorry."
"yeah,"
"yeah, and from now on i will balance peter parker and spider-man. just call me if you need me, and i'll show you just how much i care about you. more than anything."
"even new york?"
"yes!" peter exclaims. "i guess we're even."
"no, you stood me up five times. and i only did it once!" you joke.
"well that's true," peter says bitterly.
"pete, i'm only joking. i'm happy you're here," you say.
"you told me you missed me. and i do too. so why don't we spend time together. like, right now?" peter suggests.
"yes we can."
"movies?"
"star wars marathon?"
"i'll get the snacks."

Showing You
Tumblr media
Pairing: Stu Macher x Fem!Reader
Warnings: Fluff!
Word Count: 1,222
Summary: Stu overhears people talking about the possibilities of his best friend, Billy liking you and after many thoughts about it he decides to ask you about this insecurity.
A/N: Don't be mad at for the end. Btw sorry for the trash summary. I didn't know how to word it. Hope You Enjoy!
Tumblr media
"Damn, look at Y/n!"
Those words caught Stu's attention. The mention of his girlfriend's name made his head snap to the side. He followed the person's gaze, seeing you and Billy at a circular lunch table, talking and eating.
You laughed at something he said, throwing your head back and hitting his shoulder playfully. At first Stu thought they were talking about your clothing choice.
You wore a low cut shirt, your breast practically spilling out of it, but then he kept listening to the conversation. "I know Billy's trying so hard not to look down." A girl joked.
“Shit, I wouldn't. Isn't she dating Stu? If I was Billy and Stu wasn't around I would steal his girl." Sadness took over Stu after hearing that.
He looked once more at his best friend and lover seeing Billy look deep in your eyes. A look so familiar that he's seen Billy look at Sidney with.
With a frown on his face, Stu walked back to the locker's, seeing his group of friends talking. Randy noticed him and greeted him. "Oh, what's up Stu! Why the long face?" Randy asked, all attention going to the sad Stu.
“Can y'all be honest with me? Do you think Billy likes Y/n?" His friend's face scrunched in confusion. Why would Billy like you? You're dating his best friend, almost brother.
“Y/n? Liking Billy? No way, man! She's totally in love with you!" Tatum said, earning nods of agreement from the group.
“Really? Cause I heard some people saying Billy likes her and the way he was looking at her says otherwise." Now that made everyone stop and think about it.
Recently they've been noticing Billy's puppy look staring at you, laughing at your terrible jokes. It was like he was with Sidney all over again.
“Well-" Stu quickly cut Randy off. "Well?! Well what?!" His scared voice rang around the halls. The group saw how worried Stu looked and couldn't help, but feel bad and decided not to put anything in his head.
“Look, don't talk to us about this. Talk to Y/n. I'm sure she'll tell you everything if you just ask." Stu closed his eyes, taking a deep breath.
They were right.
Maybe this was just a misunderstanding and he was looking too deep into things. Maybe you and Billy are just really good friends. He is the reason you and Stu met, and soon began dating.
He kept telling himself all the 'maybe answers' in hope of not thinking the worst until he got his true answer.
-
After school you and Stu walked home together, hand in hand, talking about your day. "Oh yeah and Mrs. Applebottoms called me out today during history class. I was so pissed, I wanted to strangle her right there!" You ranted to Stu.
Usually he would rant as well, but tonight he's been silent. You looked over at him seeing him looking lost, just staring ahead of him.
“Stu?"
Stu snapped out his little trance, looking at you with a smile. "Yeah? I'm okay!" He said, knowing you would ask what's wrong with him.
You two walked in silence for the next 3 minutes before you reached your house. Stu let go of your hand, ready to give you a kiss and hug and part ways, but you asked him a question.
“Wanna stay with me tonight? My Mom and Dad aren't home, away for their anniversary." A smirk came to Stu's face as he nodded his head. "That means scary movie marathon!" You let out an annoyed huff, rolling your eyes, but that only made Stu smile because he knew you loved it.
You two went inside and up to your bedroom, changing into something comfy before going downstairs and getting a movie ready. "You choose the movie, I'll pop the popcorn." You said going to the kitchen.
While you got the snacks ready Stu flipped through movies, trying to choose a good one even though he's most likely seen every one.
He ended up choosing one and that’s how you good yourselves eating popcorn while your back against Stu’s chest.
It was a comfortable silence as you two watched the movie. Surprisingly, Stu found one that you both hadn’t seen so it made the experience even better.
When a funny part of the movie came on you and Stu began laughing, making you throw your head back against his shoulder and wipe a tear away from your eye.
“Oh boy, Billy would love to see that!”
And there it was.
You just ruined the moment for Stu. Why did you have to mention his best friend’s name while you two were doing something he loved?
For a good portion of the movie he was quiet, deep in thought of everything.
Maybe the random people who were talking about you and Billy during lunch were right.
Maybe his own group of friends were right.
Maybe Billy liked you, maybe you liked Billy, he didn’t know, but what he wanted to know was if you truly loved him like you said you do.
You realized Stu was real quiet and when you looked up at him you noticed his face was still. He was staring off into space, thinking about something.
“Stu? You okay?” You asked him, snapping him out of his trance. Now that he had your attention he decided to ask you the question that’s been on his mind all day.
“Do you like Billy?” Your face twisted up in confusion. Where was this coming from? Just so out of the blue he asks you this?
You quickly reach for the remote control on the coffee table and paused the movie. “What? Why would I like Billy when I’m with you?” You asked him, turning around to fully face him.
Stu avoided your eyes, looking down at his lap. “I’ve heard people talking about the two of you. They were saying how sweetly Billy looks at you and how they don’t know how Billy hasn’t jumped on you yet, and it’s got me thinking just maybe-”
Stu didn’t get to finish his sentence because you cut him off at— “Maybe?! Why maybe? Why are you even thinking like that? Don’t listen to ‘people,’ they're just idiots who want to instigate things between a group of friends.” You practically yelled, feeling anger take over you.
Of course people were gonna gossip, but the fact that it has Stu questioning your relationship is what’s making you mad.
“Okay, yeah, you’re right. I’m sorry, I’ve just been thinking about what they said and seeing you and Billy so close just…” Stu stopped talking when he realized he was rambling on air.
You gently cupped his cheeks with both of your hands, pulling him in for a soft kiss. “Stu, baby, I love you. Not Billy, not Randy, nobody else, but you. Please don’t let things people say get to you.”
Stu nodded his head, trying to pull you in for another kiss, but you pulled back, slithering down in between his legs.
He looked down at you with wide eyes, seeing you spread his legs apart and reach for the ties of his sweatpants. “Y-Y/n, what are you doing?” He muttered, pink lighting up his face.
“Showing you how much I love you.”

drunk bf ateez headcanons - 2k celebration!
Tumblr media
pairing: ateez x reader (no prns used)
cw: mentions of alcohol (obvie)
genre: fluff, established relationship, headcanon
notes: after watching drunkteez on wanteez and having yunho on my mind i just had to write this ( ˘ ³˘)
notes: this is my second celebration post! happy 2k followers!
hongjoong
he seems fine
at first
he's downing shots, glasses, bottles
at flash speed
but he's fine
even he says he's fine
"i just don't feel anything"
"well i mean some people just don't get drunk"
"maybe i'm just reeeeeally talented"
you're like thinking 'oh! he's not too bad'
...
did the 'reeeeeally' not give you warning signs in your head
you spoke too soon
next thing you know he's trying to shove his head down the billiard/pool/snooker table holes
it's more of gently ramming his head against the table edge than shoving his head tho
you were dying laughing by the time you reached him
"joong what are you doing???"
"i'm looking for thissssss"
"what is 'this', joongie?"
it's silent for a while and you're rubbing his back
then he just pops up
"this!"🫰🏻
(ಠ ಠ)
he thinks he's sooooo funny
you had to stare at him for a good few minutes before processing what the hell you just witnessed
he's upgraded from terrible dad jokes to terrible rizz jokes
i don't think i can decipher which is worse
he's also balancing the shot glasses on the back of his hand
which had you PANICKING
a whole migraine just from that
forget a hangover
your fear of him breaking one of those is enough for you to want to die
surprisingly he didn't break any
"see baby? i'm just tooooooo talented"
he's giggling so much
it's so cute :(
but add the worst aegyo in the world to the list
it’s near bang chan level of horrifying
i mean sure
joong is NATURALLY a giant tiny cutie
but when he’s doing it on purpose???
um.
well!
okay!
(유∀유|||)
have fun!
seonghwa
no thoughts behind those eyes
just blink blink (0_0) (-_-) (0_0)
i'm pretty sure he's on mars
and out of nowhere he starts singing along to i want it that way playing in the background (b99 ref (ʃƪ˘ﻬ˘))
singing along very loudly if i may add
BUT
as soon as the song ends
he's back to his (0_0) (-_-) (0_0) agenda
at one point
you’ve just gotten used to his giggles and clapping out of the blue
yeah he just applauds randomly
to whom and why?
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
he just wants to i guess
"hwa, i think we should go now it's like 4am-"
"HAKUNA MATATA YO"
oh he's singing again!
will not stop for the next twenty minutes
in his head it's a free karaoke bar
and he's just singing to his heart's content
he can also get pouty very quickly
and is very, very clingy
whichever one of your arm is nearer to him is not going to hear the bells of freedom for the rest of the long night
to be fair
if any of the other members are near him
he's also going to be clinging to them
just
a little less than you
he loves you the most after all! ><
all in all
he's pretty chill
every now and then
this is a bit short cause i don’t know what else i could say i’m sorry (╥_╥)
i'll make it up with a seonghwa drabble soon promise
yunho
where did this man's energy come from???????
one minute he's on the dance floor
he's 'boogying', as he said
the next he's running laps around the bar
you're just shocked he hasn't crashed into another poor innocent person yet
oh and now he's on the stage! ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
are you ripping out your hair yet
( ˘ ɜ˘) ♬♪♫ (yunho!!!!!!)>ヽ(‵﹏´)ノ
he's singing what seems to be halazia
except it's literally just the word halazia being repeated
you're pretty sure he sang 'hala-hala-hala-hala-halazia' like about seven times
stream seven by jungkook
you had to physically drag him down from the stage
“nooooo baby you don’t understand i still need to sing hips don’t lie they need meeeeeee (ง'̀-'́)ง”
“yeah ok shakira let’s go”
his hand slips from yours and he’s sucked into the wardrobe of narnia
cause even tho he’s a literal giant
you can’t seem to find his usually sticking out head
the reason why?
he’s squatting while doing the dougie
why? i don’t know
i don’t think he knows either
but he’s dougieing!
he’s also spitting BARS
starts rapping to mingi’s part in guerilla while you’re trying to drag him out
at this point you’re beginning to suspect that he’s not actually drunk
maybe a little tipsy
but mostly just staying to cause chaos
and to give you a headache
but his little pout as you’re pulling him away
“yuyu come on we have to go >:(“
“but baby i don’t want tooooo”
does this face 🥺
yk that one time when ateez made faces imitating the emoji signs they were holding
and yuyu had the 🥺 one
THATS EXACTLY THE FACE HES MAKING
and how can you deny this golden retriever :,)
(if you can resist it you’re just a maniac frankenstein cheoreom georeo maniac maniac ha ha idk i don’t make the rules)
“okay fine… but no-”
“YAY i’ll be back”
he does in fact come back a few minutes later
HOLDING A PIGEON?????
“YUNHO WHAT ARE YOU DOING??? PUT THE BIRD DOWN-”
“i made a friend! :D”
you’re certain he took a few years off your life in just one night
yeosang
since we've never actually seen him drunk
cause he's a fairy
i'll go by what joong san and hwa were saying in their vlive like ages ago
cause apparently yeosang gets all cute
so let's imagine a very clingy sangie
just tugging and snuggling into your arm
mumbling your name too
his cute nose scrunches up whenever you try to move
he whines about how you don’t love him anymore
literally just because you moved to scratch an itch on your neck
“sangie what do you mean i don’t love you anymore of course-”
“you don’t LOVE ME ANYMORE :-(”
near tears because he’s convinced of his point
sigh
“baby why do you think i don’t love you anymore?”
“hm??”
confused blink blink
he’s forgotten what he was even saying
your hand brushing through his hair is just too distracting!!!!
he’s a simple man ok?
( ๑>ᴗ<๑ )
that’s how i imagine he looks
with a flushed face
but still looking like an angel sent from heaven
but yk
don’t forget about his muscles
(ΦωΦ)
atp he’s fed up with you moving around while trying to take care of the other members
so he just tightens his iron grip on your arm
good luck moving a literal koala clinging onto your arm
like hwa’s situation
you’re not moving another inch until he’s satisfied with the amount of love he’s showered you
which
he never will be
◝(๑꒪່౪̮꒪່๑)◜
again very short cause i have nothing to come from ;-(
san
literally the LOUDEST mfer in the bar
you can expect everyone within a twenty meter radius to be staring at the two of you
you just standing there like (ಥ‿ಥ) and he's just like ᕙ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)ᕗ
flexing
he's not doing it on purpose
but like
come on
how can you NOT stare at the gorgeous man that is your boyfriend
gawddamn
what snaps you out of your daze was san suddenly pointing at you
"san what are you doing?"
"youuuuuu... are soooooo... not me"
🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️
oh he's so far gone
i don't think even he knows what he's doing
bro's just saying things
he's literally the walking epitome of speaking to speak
the worst, and i mean absolutely WORST case of asian flush ever
every exposed square inch of his skin is bright red
you're like
panicking trying to get him to sit down
cause he's stumbling around into every person in the bar
he's practically knocking them over like bowling pins
then immediately apologising in the cutest way possible
the second he's made it out of the human mosh pit tho
(╥﹏╥)
you're like (ಠ ''ಠ)
"sannie, honey, why are you crying?"
"i don't know"
sniffle
"i just love you soooooo much..."
"thank you i-"
"like SOOOOO much"
"okay thank you baby-"
"i love you like thissssssss much"
he's holding out his hands
and he's stretching them out as far as possible
and before you know it
oop! he's bear hugging you
his cheek is squished against the top of your head as he's mumbling incoherent words
the only thing you can make out tho is
"i love you so much"
you guys are such goals (;-;)
mingi
okay since we’ve never seen drunk minki
i’m going to go by the endoscopy ep
where he was breakdancing
at first he was convincing gaslighting you that he was fine
because fine means stumbling around and not even being able to walk in a straight line
but whatever suits him! :p
no seriously
he could not walk properly for the LIFE of him
he was crashing into strangers and waiters alike here and there
and by crashing
i mean practically throwing himself onto them
but the second he stands back up
he’s back to yelling into their faces that he’s sober
like mingi…
no one believes you
(¬_¬;)
you were following him right on his tail
frantically apologising to everyone he disturbed
and he’s bopping his head
he’s jamming!!!!!! 乁( • ω •乁)
he’s in his own little world
which is so adorable you almost want to cry :-(
but by the time you have to leave
and he’s STILL dancing around
you have to start pulling aggressively on his arm
he won’t go otherwise
he could stay there all night just to prove a point
the point?
that he’s sober
yes he’s still on that topic
because he’s 100% NOT drunk!!!!!!!!!!
“mingi we have to go-”
“BUT BRUNO MARS IS ON”
“MINGI ITS NOT EVEN BRUNO MARS ITS JUSTIN BEIBER”
“…o yea! ヽ(・∀・)ノ”
sigh moment from you
“i want bruno mars thoooooo do you fink i can request for bruno marsssss??????”
“no”
“why not!!!!!! ;-(”
“cause we have to go (˘∀˘)/(ㅠ~ㅠ)”
pushing him out of the bar now
he’s a fun person to be around when you’re drunk as well tho
wooyoung
witch cackle amplified by 2611%
it’s so funny tho
he laughs over literally NOTHING
a stranger walking in the bar?
HILARIOUS
someone passing by?
howling on the floor
the toilet door opening?
he’s wiping away tears
hongjoong tripping over a chair in his drunken state?
he’s getting a 10 pack at this rate
to be fair
you also cackled at poor hongjoong pretending like his dignity didn’t just get absolutely annihilated
at the same time
he’s also just fumbling around
he’s not very sober
like
not sober enough to recognise you
“oooooooh you’re soooooooo good looking we should go outttt”
“wooyoung this is the fifth time tonight we’ve been together for over a year”
“say whaaaaaaaaaat???!!!!?!!?!”
starts coddling you after that
he’s so sweet but in a loud way
well
louder than usual
cant stop kissing you (ノ´ з `)ノ
no literally
i’m not exaggerating
he will CHASE you around the pub to kiss you if needed
he has done that before (in my head)
“wooyoung people are staring-”
“COME BACK LEMME KISS YOUUUUUUU ε=┌(;・д・)┘”
now
you might be thinking
skits, why would i ever deny kisses from wooyoung????
yeah see
he thinks he’s kissing you
he’s not
he’s biting you
like full on CHOMP CHOMP CHOMPERS
it’s not even cute lil :3 nom noms
ITS LITERALLY FULL ON TEETH RAWRS
so unless you want a chunk of your skin gone
start running! :p
jongho
you really think he's going to be the drunk one?
him??????
bro has not seen a day of being drunk
he could be downing bottles of every kind of alcohol known to mankind
and still be fresh as a daisy
(≖ᴗ≖) ✿
he'd be the one challenging the entire bar into drinking too
he handles his alcohol very well
let's be honest, you're probably the one drunk
he's going to be taking care of you instead
BUT you never told him how he once drunkenly went up to the bar stage
and started shooing off the performers
before flaunting off his vocals
so that was fun
let's say he hypothetically was wasted tho
i'll use the endoscopy ep as an example like mingi
he's just going to be asleep
just
snore mimimimi snore mimimimi
he might wake up like every half hour
and get all confused
but it's so cute :(
like he's just lifting his head up from your lap
◝(´O`)◜
probably definitely drooling tho
it's going to be pretty short for him cause he just doesn't get drunk
he's invincible

🪻 - violet roses and bleeding hearts.
(incel coriolanus snow x reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary: no one knew how sweet your boyfriend could be. even if he was a raging misogynistic incel.
based on this ask !
c.w: incel coriolanus, mentions to misoginy, fluff, short fic, coryo being a sweetheart (most parts), couple content, some slight mentions to sex, slight punching
Tumblr media
whilst everyone asked you why you were with coriolanus snow, the biggest incel of the academy and also one of the smartest and prettiest nerds, you knew you had him on the palm of your hand.
he was a terrible person towards woman, of course. he always had something to say towards others but never towards you. no, no.
you were his muse. his goddess. it is safe to say that he adored you, loved you so much it was a joke. it seemed fun to you that you both started talking because of an argument about clothes and the way femininity should be performed.
of course, it didn't end very well, you punched him in the face after he said something about traditional woman and that punch was enough for him to be head over heels to you. acting like a puppy with you and an angry pitbull towards others. he never thought much abbout others, but you? ma'am, ever since that punch, you had him on your bare feet.
he was a virgin mess before you met him, and he still is a mess but a more controled one- at least with you.
he knows his way with words. and acts! he loves giving you roses and huge bouquets of his grandma'am white roses, however, when he thought it was too much white, he turned to the one thing he knew you loved:
violet roses and bleeding hearts.
"y/n," he called you, voice a bit hitched from his excitement. it's been days since he wanted to see you, and he looked like a lost puppy without you around. however, he looked at your clothes up and down, the big hoodie and the sweatpants calling his attention as he frowned a bit and gulped down.
you noticed that, anyway. "what is it, coryo? is there something wrong with my clothes?" you asked.
obviously, he was ready to answer that question. he was always ready to make a really sweet comment or a really rude one. you knew him. always getting into people's weardrobe as if he has a full one.
"aren't those clothes a bit masculine, my love?" he asked, brows still knitted together. very cute for him.
"i don't think so, they're so comfortable." you said, comforting yourself into the hoodie and smelling it's perfume.
"okay, you're right, love. as always" he said, praying internally that this wouldn't be the outfit you were going to use for you both to go out.
it was worse. but at least it was something a girl would use.
your dress was quite short. white, above the knee, tight, hugging every curve you had while your hair was turned in a bun, high on your neck. pretty. somehow, erotic.
"th...that's..." he stared at you, up and down and down and up all over.
"yes? what is it now?" you asked, hand on your waist as you waited for whatever he had to say.
your sweet boyfriend, who always had something to say about women's clothing, was staring at your body the hole time. he was a bit jealous, he didn’t want to let anyone see you.
"babe, what if we stay here?" he asked, hands on your waist. you weren't against that idea, but you were ready now and didn't had the means, needs or will to go back. "i'll be a good boy, please. let's just stay home."
god he was so cute calling himself a good boy- needless to say he wasn't a good boy.
he was already there, bouquet in front of his body.
"bleeding hearts," you beamed, smiling. "my favorite ones."
"yes, yes. brought them yesterday" he said, kissing your temple. "now, can we j-just.. stay at home?"
"why?"
"you're too pretty. i don't want others to see you dressed like that."
"like that..?"
"like that, yeah. like... i don't know?" he seemed to think for a long time, but he still didn’t had anything to say "like a..."
"like a slut?"
"yeah- wait, no. stop." you laughed, letting him frown and hugging him. "we'll talk about it later, babe. let's stay at home ok?"
"okay" he was more than happy to obey, kissing your lips and laying his head on your lap.
he was yours, in a way that nobody knew. nobody suspected that this boy was so weak for you, especially with the atrocities he spoke. still, he was yours. entirely yours.

im sorry to ask but i dont know what else to do—how did you do it how did you dig yourself out because it feels like i am choking on dirt and people keep shoveling it onto me and i miss her so much and i dont know how to make this feeling stop. she was my best friend. ive never lived in a world without her before. how did you do it. how are you doing it
grief is so hard and so heavy when we first meet it. it feels like all our arms will ever hold for the rest of forever. and it is, in a sense. once we pick it up, we never really set it down. not fully.
and I don't think it gets lighter, I think we somehow, impossibly, get stronger.
there's lots of metaphors for grief. that's one of them. another one I like to use is that it feels like you're in the grave with them. like lazarus. like yourself. waiting for someone to raise you from the dead. to raise you both.
I've learned a lot about crawling out of the grave. more than I would have ever wanted to learn. like how emptiness is actually quite heavy. or how to pretend like you feel half-alive. but I think the most important thing I've learned is that somedays, we inexplicably end up back in it. and that sucks.
because we just spent months clawing our way through the bugs and the earth. because our soldier-hands have finally breached the surface. because the sun is finally caressing our hell-fresh faces. because for the first time in months we feel like we can finally breath. and then, suddenly, we're right back in the terrible thick of it.
those days make it feel like I'm sisyphus and grave dirt is my rock. or like I'm prometheus and the darkness is my eagle.
but then it's tuesday.
which is to say my brother died on my 25th birthday, a monday. and that day is now a memory that's fuzzy around the edges. single snapshots I know are connected, but I couldn't tell you how. I remember my mother standing in my bedroom and tears and family and phone calls and cleaning my living room because I didn't know what to do with my hands. I remember going to my grandmothers and my phone vibrating off the table and leaving to go get coffee because I couldn't sit still. I remember joking, trying to joke. trying to do whatever I could to make sense of that impossible day. I remember checking my phone and reading and rereading the messages, a mixed bag of congratulations for surviving another year and condolences that my brother didn't, I remember not knowing how to respond to any of them. so I didn't. I remember being surrounded by so many people doing nothing but extending love and kindness to me and never feeling more alone. the world was ending and I was alone. I thought that day would go on forever.
but it didn't.
it ended, as all things do. monday was over and my first day as an only child was done.
and suddenly it was tuesday. and everything was different but also exactly the same.
it was tuesday and my brother was dead. I was so heavy when I woke up that first tuesday. so heavy and confused. I thought the world had ended. it surely felt like it had. but it hadn't. because the world couldn't have ended on monday.
not if it was tuesday.
it was tuesday and my brother was dead but the world wasn't ending. monday should have been our demise, but it wasn't. and it hasn't. and it won't. because just as sure as we have mondays, we'll always have tuesdays.
that's something I've taken a strange comfort in, knowing that we'll always have tuesdays.
the feeling never stops. but I think that's okay. because you're only feeling that way because there was love first. and as much as what I felt on that first tuesday hurts, as much as it suffocates, as much as it consumes, I'd take the hurt and the suffocation and the consumption because the love I felt first will always, always be worth it.
tuesdays will always be worth it.
like yeah, if I loved less, it wouldn't hurt this bad. but I don't want to live in a world where I have to love less. where I was loved less.
I'll take the pain. I'll take the grave days. I'll take the rock. I'll take the eagle. I'll take apocalyptic, earthshaking mondays. I'll take every last wretched bit because goddamn what a miracle it is to love so bad it hurts this big.
I hold that love, his love for me and my love for him, a love that's now become our love in the cage of my ribs while I'm in the cage of the grave. and I dig.
it's monday and I dig.
I dig.
and then tuesday comes.

hey! I have a headcanon of Young!Snape teaching Y/N in the library so they don't have to cheat during the Portions exam (it could end in a kiss, maybe. <3)
Yes! I feel like Snape would hate tutoring unless it’s someone he cares about. I wrote something a lil silly, so I hope you like it.
Pairing: Young!Snape x gn!reader
Word count: 1.4k
Warnings: a bit of arguing but mostly fluff
Dividers
To say that the past few months were difficult would be an understatement. Potions this year had proven to be increasingly challenging. You tried your best to review the material in your free time, but that combined with juggling your other classes and your social life was not an easy feat. You considered asking your friend Severus, who was practically a potions genius, for help, but given how serious he was about his academics, you feared doing so would only irritate him.
You just about had it. There was no way you’d memorize all the material for the next exam and pass. You decided to write down everything on a piece of parchment and hide it somehow so you could cheat discretely.
Tumblr media
Finally. It was over. Of course, your guilty conscience kept telling you what a terrible mistake it was, but no one seemed to notice. Plus, what would happen if you really failed? You winced at the thought of having to repeat this class again next year, alone without any of your friends. "It was just one exam; I won't do it again," you told yourself. "Everyone does it at some point, right? By this time next year, this won’t even—"
Suddenly, you were stopped in your tracks as you felt a tight grip on the sleeve of your sweater.
"What the hell was that, Y/N?!"
Severus cornered you into the wall, locking eyes with you as he waited for an explanation.
"W-what was what?" you stammered.
"Oh, don’t play dumb with me. I saw what you did," he continued, refusing to lift his eyes off of you. "You weren’t exactly subtle, if that’s what you were even trying to be."
"Okay, fine!" you broke. "I cheated!"
He raised his eyebrows at you, almost proud of the fact that he caught you.
"Why do you even care? Everyone does it. Sorry we're not all intellectual like you. I needed to pass somehow. And it's not like I cheated off of you. What, are you going to report me now? Get me to fail the class, or worse, expelled?"
Though you were intensely defending yourself to the point of guilt-tripping him, you knew he was right (of course.) You were lucky it was only Severus and not your professor.
Finally, he released his grip on you, letting out a sigh. "Fine, I'll help you," he murmured, lowering his gaze to the floor.
"What?" You weren’t sure what you heard was right.
"If you really need it that badly, I'll help you! I'll tutor you."
"But, I didn't—"
"Meet me in the potions classroom tonight right after dinner. Be there on time," he commanded, centering his wand right on your chest.
Before you could get even a word out, he stormed off, gripping his books to his side, probably muttering some…choice words under his breath.
With the hallways now completely empty, you scoffed. "The nerve of him," you thought, rolling your eyes as you replayed the conversation in your head. You had to admit, though, under all that stern yelling, it was a kind gesture…Perhaps it'd be best to review some of the material beforehand so you wouldn't appear to be a complete idiot in front of the junior potion’s master.
Tumblr media
You didn't forget about your little tutoring date after dinner. While everyone happily made their way back to their dorms, you dragged yourself to the designated meeting location, hoping he at least would forget among all the commotion.
Unsurprisingly, though, he was already there, seated with an array of supplies and ingredients scattered across the table.
"Do you usually come here on your own at night?" you joked, trying to break the ice as you took a seat next to him.
He clearly was not in the mood for any sort of amusement as he completely ignored your question. "We should get started. Just because we had an exam today, doesn't mean we get to slack off. The next one will be here before you know it, and—"
"Yes, I know, Severus. Obviously, I'm here because I want to get better. You already made it clear that I made a terrible decision earlier today," you snapped.
The expression on his face softened as he took a moment to process your reply, awkwardly clearing his throat. "R-right…Why don't you tell me which sections you'd like the most help with, and we can go from there?"
With the both of you now calmed down, you tried to get over your embarrassment and tell him everything. It wasn't easy being this vulnerable in front of someone who seemed to grasp any and every subject so easily, but he was intently listening, this time more curiously and even…empathetically?
"I can't exactly blame you for finding the material confusing. As I attempted to make these potions myself, I realized many of the instructions aren’t as descriptive as they should be, and in some cases, wrong. I’ve taken corrective notes that I’ll share them with you, and we can follow along…"
You fully expected everything he'd say to go over your head, making this a waste of time for not only you but him, as well. But, to your surprise, everything was kind of starting to make sense! Severus may have been a quiet student, but when he did talk, words were not wasted; he always found a way to describe his thoughts clearly and concisely. Oh, and that voice of his…he could make even the most mundane of topics sound exciting.
As he was speaking, you couldn’t take his eyes off of him. His glittering eyes, smirks that could pass for actual smiles, and expressive eyebrows made it clear he was actually quite passionate about potions. No wonder he was so good at it.
"Y/N?" he asked abruptly. "Is what I'm saying making sense so far?"
"Oh…yes," you responded, hoping he couldn't tell you were actually enjoying this.
"Why don’t we get to actually brewing some potions then? This is, after all, a subject where one typically learns best by doing."
Hesitating, you pulled the ingredients toward you, carefully reviewing his notes before preparing them accordingly. For a moment, you were more focused on how elegant and neat his handwriting was.
You could feel your heart flutter as his hands made their way to yours, guiding you with the lightest of touch so that you wouldn’t accidentally hurt yourself. "Yes, just like that," he commented, barely leaving a gap between you two as he watched you intently. "You're doing quite well, actually."
You shifted slightly in an attempt to hide your cheeks, which only continued to grow redder throughout the night, and covered your mouth in case you accidentally squealed.
"Y/N, you should look directly at what you're doing. Precision and accuracy are very important in potions. Also, you shouldn't touch your face when your hands are still dirty!"
Severus was right when he said you were not very good at being subtle…This time, though, he seemed more concerned for your safety and well-being instead of simply accusing you of doing something wrong.
"Oh, there’s some slime near your mouth. Let me wipe that off for you." He grabbed a napkin and gently cleaned the corner of your lips. At this point, you'd be lucky if he didn't hear the sound of your heart thumping rapidly against your chest, ready to fall out into his hands.
Tumblr media
Before you knew it, it was almost time to go to bed. You managed to accomplish more than you expected, and you started to understand why he enjoyed this subject so much.
"Well, we should probably end here. We can continue tomorrow if you'd like, but I'm seeing improvements from you already. I think if you had even just a little bit more confidence in yourself, you'd—"
Fuck it.
You grabbed his face, hands stained from all the chopping and squeezing, and planted a kiss on his nose. "Thank you, Severus. This was actually incredibly helpful. You’re really sweet, you know that?"
With your palms still cupping his cheeks, he almost tripped, finding it difficult to maintain even a second of eye contact with you. "O-oh, of course, any time, it's no pro-problem," he rambled on.
"Hey, maybe as a thank you for taking the time to help me, I can help you out."
"With...what exactly?"
"Lucky for you, I'm actually an expert at snogging. Meet me at the library tomorrow right after dinner. And don't be late."

Jack and you were just about ready to leave the hotel room and head toward his Avatar premiere. However, there was an issue that he wasn’t aware of. You can’t take elevators.
Well, technically you could take an elevator, but the worry just eats you up from the inside out. Imagine all the possibilities of what could happen there! It could stop, you could get stuck, or worse, it could drop. And yes, maybe you were blowing this out of proportion but tell that to the 10,200 elevator accidents this year. Normally you would just take the stairs but with the heels you had on, it would be like walking through hell.
Yet by the time you were pulled out of your thoughts, the thing you dreaded most was straight ahead. The elevator. Now, you knew Jack wouldn't mind going down the stairs after all, it was just two floors, but you didn’t want to ruin the mood. Not when he was all giddy and excited for you to finally see the movie he worked years on.
Before approaching the elevator you came to a halt, Jack stopping with you. He looked at you with knitted eyebrows, silently asking you “What's up?” with his eyes. “Jack, can I ask you something?” Your tone was light, but you could hear the nervousness, you were just hoping he didn’t. “I don’t know, can you?” You rolled your eyes at his playful impertinent remark but asked your questions. “Is there any other way to get down? Like without the elevator?”. Jack's face morphed into an obviously perplexed one. “Not unless you wanna take the stairs. Or jump. We could probably jump, yeah?” He was chuckling at his own jokes when he noticed the serious look plastered onto your face.
“You really don't want to take the elevator?” you nodded your head at his question unsure of how he was going to respond. “How come?” he had asked, genuinely confused, Jack had loved elevators, he loved the feeling they gave him in his stomach. Like a rollercoaster ride almost.
You shuffled your feet, embarrassed to explain. “I'm afraid of them.” and though Jack didn't mean it, he found himself giggling at your confession. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry- Ok how do you wanna get down? Jumping is still an option,” You shook your head listlessly, and Jack got the message.
“Okay, how about we take the stairs?” he asked and his joking demeanor had faded. “Yeaaah, about that,” you dragged your vowels before resuming, “I think my ankles would be absolutely annihilated if I did”. Jack had a growing smirk on his face, he rubbed his chin pretending to be in deep thought. He snuck a quick glance at the staircase that was just across from where you both were standing and then a glance at you before talking. “I might have a solution.” He spoke, and before you even got to respond he swooped you up bridal style while running over to the stair case.
You had numerous protests while he was carrying you, they mostly consisted of “Jack put me down!” “Stop I’m gonna ruin your hair Jack!” and occasionally “People are looking!!” and Jack being Jack he didn’t stop until the of the stairs.
When you got there you shot him an injudicious look. “Why’d you do that? You could've messed up your outfit,” He shrugged evidently unbothered by his rash action, yet still grinning like the Cheshire cat. “You didn't seem too fond of the jumping option so I thought I’d help out a bit” You playfully shoved his shoulder. “Maybe I'll jump the next time we leave, okay?” He laughed while nodding his head. “Deal.”

Strangers to lovers Part 3
Tumblr media
Sherlock x reader
Summary: Being Enola’s sitter was an adventure, but not as much as falling for her brother, Sherlock.
Warnings: 18+ only, NSFW, Unprotected public sex (p in v), very little fluff, angst as well, kissing, cussing
Word count: 1.9k+
Tumblr media
Sherlock has consistently shown up at your house carrying flowers for the past week. You conveyed your appreciation for each of them; they were all beautiful. It started off the same way as usual when he arrived early today with a fresh bouquet of your favorite flowers-lilies.
"Sherlock, all of the flowers are beautiful," you remarked as you opened the door. This, however, will not mend what you broke. You cannot buy my trust with anything."
"Will you kindly give me an idea of sorts? I am really trying my best," he muttered.
"No, you will manage. You are, after all, the notorious Sherlock Holmes. You have probably experienced worse moments."
You shut the door after saying those final words to him. Although doing something like that made you feel terrible, it was a good decision.
Tumblr media
Your cousin Miranda made the decision to pay you a visit after sending a letter to your family. "Is everything okay? Your letter sounded worrisome."
Even though you were not very close to Miranda, you reasoned that it might be okay to hear her opinion. She grinned when you told her you had fallen in love.
"Please try not to get too excited. There is no happy ending to this story." When you said that, her face fell. "He left me not too long ago; in the most horrible way, I think it is possible to leave someone you love." You told her everything that had happened in the past. Now that he has returned, he wants me. And, my goodness, I want him too. I just cannot be with him yet, though. I need him to show me because it does not feel quite right. He has not done anything but buy me stuff. Love and trust are not things that can be purchased."
She listened carefully. "I am not sure what to say," she said, leaning her head against her palm and sadly glancing at you. "Do you still love him?" You sighed. “I will always love him more than words can describe. You do not realize how close I was to giving in to his pleas for me to stay with him. How I was able to say no is still beyond me.”
"Though I do agree with you, could you perhaps be a little lenient with him the next time you see him?"
"Be lenient with him? You must be joking. He deserves this. You do not realize how painful it was because you were not present, Miranda.”
"I understand, but if he asks, just go out with him for a day and see how it goes."
You decided to see him after giving her a farewell for the evening and considering what she had said.
Tumblr media
When you had not seen or heard from Sherlock for a week, you were taken aback. You were already dressed when he knocked on your door and said, "I have a day prepared for you. Please come." And you had nothing planned for yourself.
He extended his hand for you to grasp.
Gazing upon it, you inhaled deeply and grasped his hand.
The two of you took a carriage to a location of which you were unaware. You asked once, but he wouldn't tell you. “It’s a surprise." You wanted to ask again but decided against it. Not wanting to appear eager.
Tumblr media
You hadn’t known how long it took, but the carriage came to a stop. Sherlock stopped you and said, "Cover your eyes.” You gave him a look that told him he was ridiculous for suggesting such a thing.
Still, you tried to get out, but he was blocking you. “Cover your eyes, and I'll help you out."
You huffed but did as such.
Sherlock guided you, telling you where to step and what to watch out for. “Okay, we’re here,” he mumbled under his breath, but you managed to hear what he said.
“Are you ready?” he asked. “Yes, now let me see!"
He removed his hands, and you saw a huge picnic set up for the both of you in a beautiful vineyard covered with tons of flowers.
You’d never seen such a view; you were at a loss for words.
“Sherlock, this is breathtaking. You really did all of this?”
“Of course, I thought you would love it."
He took your hand and led you to sit down on the blanket.
Sherlock sat across from you, curiosity got to you, and you reached to open the basket that was in the middle and started pulling out the produce.
There were various fruits, vegetables, and meats for the afternoon lunch he planned.
Tumblr media
Sherlock and you were having a marvelous day together. It was as if nothing had changed; it felt the same as it did four years ago. Just the two of you, enjoying each other and not wanting it to end.
He was eyeing you diligently, especially the way you would reach for a strawberry and how your lips looked when taking a bite.
The sound of your laugh made goosebumps rise on his skin.
He hadn't noticed how much he missed making you laugh, along with your infectious smile.
“Sherlock, this was something that I won’t forget. Thank you for all of this."
“No, don’t thank me. I don’t deserve that, but you deserve this. All for you, y/n."
Sherlock ran a hand through his curly hair that fell in his face, and you gave him a smile.
"Oh, you have,” he said, stopping mid-sentence and reaching his thumb out to wipe away some of the juice that came from one of the many strawberries you had.
His face became eerily close to yours; without thinking, you moved towards him, and his thumb caressed your cheek. You took his thumb in your mouth and sucked on it—the familiar taste of a strawberry on your tongue.
His lips found yours in a slow kiss.
The dress you wore slowly moved upward, and his large hands squeezed your thighs in a needy way.
He kissed and sucked on your neck, causing a moan from you.
His lips grazed your neck up to your mouth, and his nose nudged against yours before going in for another kiss.
He pulled down your underwear and rubbed your clit with his index and middle fingers. “How does that feel, baby? Does that feel good?”
“Mhm, yes, it feels so fucking good; please don’t stop."
His hand started to gently caress your breast, and you moaned into the kiss you two were sharing. You wrapped your arms around his neck, and he laid you down carefully.
He removed his hand from underneath your dress.
You pulled up your dress past your hips, and you helped him unbuckle his trousers. He pulled his cock out and eased his way into your pussy.
Both of you moaned simultaneously, and his movements started to quicken.
Your hands grabbed his buttocks, and your legs wrapped around his waist as he pounded into you.
No words were spoken between the two of you.
Just this moment with him was enough.
Your mouths and tongues moved in sync with one another like they always had. His grunts started to become louder, along with your cries of pleasure.
Your back arched, you were breathless, and you felt Sherlock's hips still with his seed pouring into you.
His head hung low in your neck, and as you started to come out of your sex-filled haze, you realized what had happened.
This wasn’t what you had planned.
This shouldn’t have happened at all.
You scolded yourself for being stupid.
“Sherlock, this was a bad idea.” He looked at you, and you could tell that what you said hurt him.
'What do you mean this was a bad idea?"
“We had sex, and while I enjoyed it, it shouldn't have happened."
He pulled his cock out of you and put it back in his trouser while you pulled your dress down, trying to cover yourself as best as you could. Suddenly, an anxious feeling started within you.
Sherlock lowered and shook his head, and then moved his hand down his face in defeat.
“Would you please take me home?”
"Is that wise?" he asked, looking at you. "You look as if you don’t want me near you again."
You didn't have words for him, although what he said wasn’t true. You wanted him near; you wouldn’t be here with him if that were true.
“Are you going to leave? Again? I know who you are and what you do. Sherlock, you don’t need to explain that to me anymore. I can see you’re trying; you’ve bought me tons of flowers, my favorite ones. Which I’m grateful for, and you planned this whole picnic for me. And sweet gestures like this are what have been meant to earn my trust and get me back. But in the end, is this all worth it if you end up leaving?”
He looked at you and lowered his eyes. “I don’t know what the future holds, but I know I want you, and I’ll want you always. And if one day I must go, then I would hope you’d come with me.”
“You would want me to pack up my life here? Is that what you would want me to do?”
He waved his hand. “No, I would never make you do something you wouldn't want to; we could find common ground, a compromise? If you want this as much as I do",
You did; you wanted it more than life; you wanted him.
But you had nothing left to say to him. “May we go, please?"
He let his shoulders drop in defeat but ultimately said yes.
He packed up the picnic, and the mess that was caused by the sex you had a few moments before
The carriage ride to your home was silent—a silence that could kill. A storm blew over London, which fit the mood of how the day was ending.
You sat picking at your nail beds for the rest of the ride until the carriage reached your home. Sherlock helped you out. “Thank you,” he said, but he still walked you to your front door. “I wish you a good rest of your night,” he said before walking off. You watched as he walked back to his house in the cold, groggy weather instead of the carriage.
Walking back into your house, you aimed straight towards the shower to wash away his scent and the sweat that formed on your skin from the sun earlier, combined with the sex you and Sherlock shared.
The water was hot and refreshing on your skin; you felt renewed once you were dressed in your nightgown and in bed.
You tossed and turned for the rest of the night, Sherlock on your mind and wondering what the future held for the both of you.
Tumblr media
Sherlock walked along the pavement, enduring the London rain, as he came upon a pub. He walked in, needing a drink. He sat in an open chair, the barman appearing in front of him. “How many?”
Sherlock got lost in thought about the question he was about to answer the barman when the barman answered for him, “Let’s start you with one, and if you wish for more, let me know."
A few seconds later, a lager was put in front of Sherlock; he analyzed it for a moment before downing the drink.
Without a second thought, he ordered another one to forget the prior events that had taken place; it was going to be a long night ahead.

david von erich x reader | 1.5k | based on this lovely lovely request 🫶🏻 | no real warnings, just some softness 🌼💗
It sometimes makes you laugh when you think about how ridiculously stereotypical your relationship is in some ways. You love it, and wouldn't change it for anything, of course, but you really hit some classics.
Neighbors? ✔️
Met as little kids? ✔️
Went through school together? ✔️
First kiss? ✔️
First time? ✔️
Prom King & Queen? ✔️
But, while there are a lot of typical things about your relationship, you like to think you still have your own thing going on too. You and David have been officially dating since you were fourteen years old, you know each other better than anyone. You have your own private jokes, references, pet names, memories.
It wasn't planned, of course. To get together so young and go through your life together. Hell, you both had a lot of life to live yet. Early twenties weren't exactly over the hill. But you just felt like what you had with David would be forever when you first got together. So far, you haven't been proved wrong.
The two of you always support each other, build each other up and push each other to go for your goals. Sometimes your friends ask if you get jealous now that David has joined Kevin in the ring, and has so much attention from girls. You just laugh when it comes up, there's really no reason to be jealous. If anything it just makes you feel more secure in your relationship. You know David enjoys the attention but he only has eyes for you, you're the one in his bed, in his truck, laying beside him in the grass, his hand intertwined with yours as he talks about your future together.
It doesn't feel scary, thinking about a future with David. You can see a home, kids, a dog, the whole nine yards. Even if it was just you and him forever, you would still be deliriously happy.
“What are you smiling about over there?”
David's voice snaps you from your thoughts, and you glance over to the driver's seat.
“I would tell you but your hat wouldn't fit anymore,” You tease, looking back to the window. “And I would feel guilty, can't have that.”
“Aw come on,” David grins, his hand reaching out to touch your thigh. You're wearing shorts and the feel of his hand on your bare skin feels, as always, deeply comfortable and satisfying. “take the risk.”
“Nope,” You look over and stick your tongue out playfully. “You know anyway. I don't need to tell you.”
“Who says I know?” David is a terrible liar, always has been.
“You know,” You grinned, shaking your head. “There's very few things that I allow space for in my daydreams.”
“True,” David nods, looking back to the road. The smile on his face has you wanting to kiss him. “And obviously I'm top of that list.”
You roll your eyes with a smile.
“Stop being so cocky.”
“I don't think so darlin’,” David gently squeezes your thigh. “you love it.”
“Do I?” You raise a brow, knowing you both know the answer.
A comfortable silence falls over you, your hand resting on top of David's. You wonder if you'll ever get tired of this, of getting into his truck with no particular destination in mind. You don't think you could get tired of it, not when it feels so perfect.
“When is Kerry coming home?” You ask, glancing over to David. He lets out the smallest of sighs, his thumb gently stroking your thigh.
“He leaves tomorrow morning,” David tells you, his eyes still on the road. “Should be home by the evening.”
“Okay,” You nod, gently stroking David's hand. “Just curious.”
“Could you..could you be there?” David asks after a moment.
“Of course,” You nod, looking over to him. “You think I wouldn't be? It's like you don't even know me, babe. ”
David smiles a little and you feel yourself relax.
“Can't wait to see him though,” He says. “I mean, the circumstances ain't ideal but I can't say I ain't missed him like crazy.”
“It'll be nice to have him back,” You nod. “I'll have to fill him in on all the juicy gossip.”
“Do I get to know?” David teases, glancing over to you. “Or is it top secret stuff?"
“Oh it's just a silly thing,” You sigh with a smile, looking over to your window. “The blonde Von Erich boy is a big hot-shot wrestler now. On TV and everything, you should hear the filth that comes out of his mouth.”
“Oh he sounds incorrigible,” David gasped dramatically, making you laugh. “What a scoundrel.”
“Tell me about it,” You grinned, looking down at your hand on his. “I heard he's got a hot little girlfriend though.”
“Lucky him,” David grinned. “I bet she's got men throwing themselves at her feet, I'm sure he's extremely grateful she chose him.”
“Well when you can have the best, you get the best,” You smile, looking over to David. “And ain't nobody better than you.”
“Not true,” David looked over to you with a cheeky smile. “You're better, and I won't hear otherwise. I was lucky enough to get you and I don't plan to lose you.”
You still felt butterflies in your stomach when he said things like that, and you hoped that would never change.
“I don't plan to lose you either,” You grin, resting your free hand over your forehead. “You're stuck with me.”
“Then I'm the luckiest man alive,” David murmurs softly, you just catch it and it makes your heart soar.
You watch the world pass by the window for a while, the smile etched onto your face. In the moments David needs to move his hand from your thigh you feel the loss, your hand just waiting to hold his.
It's a little embarrassing, really, how in love you are. You have to laugh at yourself sometimes when you get moody because you haven't seen David for a couple of hours, or because he didn't hold your hand long enough. You suppose the fact that you're aware of it makes it better, and it's not really a bad thing. You're lucky enough to have an amazing relationship with a man who you love and who you know loves you.
You look over to him, watch him hum along to the radio, his fingers drumming against the wheel. These are the moments you treasure. All those girls screaming for him and desperately wanting his autograph only see one part of him. They see the confidence and the strength and the charisma, which are all amazing qualities, but they don't see what you see.
They don't see him snort out a drink because you made him laugh unexpectedly, they don't see him singing in his truck, or giving you a bunch of flowers on a Tuesday morning just because. They see what he wants them to see, and you feel beyond honored to see the real David.
“Oh hey, pull in up ahead,” You tell David, sitting up a little and gesturing at the window. “I need to grab something.”
“Your wish is my command baby,” David grins, parking up the truck and giving you a curious look as you wink at him and slip out of the truck.
You don't take long, coming back to the truck with a grin and two ice creams in hand.
“You're such a child,” David laughs as he opens the door for you and accepts one of the cones. “Making me stop for ice cream, really?”
“Well you ain't gotta eat it,” You shrug, closing the door and resting your leg up on your seat. “But we both know you will so stop complaining.”
“Oh I ain't complaining,” David smiles, leaning over and giving you a kiss. “far from it.”
“Eat that before it melts,” You murmur with a grin, leaning in to give him another kiss, pulling back after a moment and holding your ice cream between you both. “I mean it.”
“Yes ma'am,” David grins, sitting back and taking a lick of his ice cream.
You laugh softly to yourself, looking out the window and licking your ice cream, David's hand finding yours across the seat.
The heat has your ice cream melting a little quicker, conversation is paused while you work on not getting strawberry all down your hand. David finishes before you, as always. You shuffle over and lean against him, his arm wrapping around your shoulders. Occasionally you hold the ice cream up and he takes a lick, insists you have it yourself.
You wonder if a day will ever come when you don't feel stupidly, wonderfully, madly in love, looking up and meeting David's eyes. He sticks his tongue out at you and you lightly jab his cheek with the ice cream in your hand.
“You started it,” You tease as he protests.
“Don't start a war you can't win.”
“Oh it's on,” David grins. You sit up and turn to look at him, your face starting to hurt from smiling so damn much.
“Then give me all you got.”

Adam rambled on nervously about Paloma's snack for about the fifth time as Cece followed him into the kitchen, nodding along to every word he was saying. She knew he was nervous to leave Paloma alone so she tried her best to seem interested even though he's repeated the same thing for what seemed like the millionth time.
As Adam rambled on, he suddenly stopped mid-sentence, an embarrassed flush creeping onto his cheeks. He realized he had been repeating himself, and Cece had been patiently listening the whole time.
"Sorry," he chuckled nervously, running a hand through his hair. "I guess I'm just a bit on edge with leaving Paloma alone. I want everything to be perfect for her."
Cece shook her head in understanding, "No don't even apologize! I appreciate it, I do tend to forget about stuff. And I get it, the first time is always the hardest."
Adam sighed, feeling grateful for her understanding. "Thanks, Cece. I know I can be a bit... overprotective sometimes."
"It's a good quality, especially when it comes to being a dad," she replied warmly. "I get it, I go crazy for my little brother. I'm pretty sure I would commit a crime for him," you joked playfully.
Adam chuckled, the tension in the room easing as he appreciated Cece's sense of humor. "Yeah, me too. Paloma is my world, and I'd do anything to make sure she's safe and happy."
Cece smiled warmly, a genuine warmth in her eyes. "I can tell you're a great dad, Adam. Paloma is lucky to have you." Her smile carried her feelings and she saw herself in Adam as he talked about Paloma. She was the same with her brother and her little nephew and niece.
His expression softened, and he returned the smile. "Thanks, Cece. That means a lot."
Comfort silence filled the kitchen before Adam got a phone call and cursed under his breath, "Shit, I'm late."
Cece watched as Adam's expression shifted from one of warmth to a sudden realization that he was running late. She could sense the urgency in his voice as he cursed softly.
"I gotta get going but call me if anything happens. And if I don't answer, call Luca or mom. Oh, you don't have my mom's number, let me give it to you in case-"
Cece let out a soft laugh as she put a hand on his shoulder in comfort, "It's fine, Adam. Don't worry I'm sure I'll get a hold of you, alright? Just relax and get to your meeting in one piece."
He took a breath and then laughed along with her, even though there was still some anxiety running through his veins. He nodded, "Alright, sorry about that, you're right." This was part of the process, it would be okay.
"Don't apologize, you're okay." Cece still had an understanding expression on her face as Adam took another deep breath before walking to the door and taking his keys.
"Alright, I'll see you in a couple hours. Paloma's sleeping right now but you remember-" He saw her expression and then let out an anxious sigh before nodding. "You got it?"
"I got it, boss." You joked playfully as he smiled. "Bye,"
"Bye." He took one more look around his apartment before leaving the apartment.
As Adam left for his meeting, Cece stood in the doorway, watching him until he disappeared from view. She then turned her attention back to the apartment, a newfound sense of responsibility settling in her heart. Taking a deep breath, she walked over to check on Paloma, who was still peacefully sleeping in her room.
The apartment was quiet, save for the gentle sounds of Paloma's breathing. Cece couldn't help but smile as she looked down at the sleeping toddler.
──
A FEW WEEKS LATER
──
Adam walked into the apartment after a long and grueling practice, his body feeling the weight of exhaustion. The familiar scent of home welcomed him as he closed the door behind him. He let out a sigh of relief, glad to be back in the comfort of his own space.
He entered the living room, he noticed the soft glow of dimmed lights and the sound of gentle music playing in the background. It was a scene he had grown accustomed to since Cece had become a part of their lives.
He made his way to the kitchen, where he found Cece cleaning Paloma's dishes. She looked up and smiled warmly when she saw him. "Hey, Adam. How was practice?"
She could tell he was tired, he has been for the entirety of the week. She respected how hard he worked at practice and how he still had energy for Paloma, even after an exhausting practice.
Adam stretched his tired muscles and replied, "Long and exhausting, per usual, but it's done. How's Paloma?"
Cece's smile widened. "She's been an sweetheart. We played and watched a Barbie movie, had dinner, now she's asleep in bed."
Adam felt a sense of relief wash over him. He had been anxious about leaving Paloma in someone else's care, but seeing how well Cece was handling everything put his mind at ease. Right as he was about to respond, the familiar cry of Paloma rang through the apartment.
Cece, out of habit, immediately dropped the dishes into the sink and walked out of the kitchen before Adam spoke, "Cece, it's fine. Let me go see what's up."
"Oh, alright-"
This had been a problem for the past week, Paloma throwing tantrums right after being put to sleep. Adam had tried everything he could think of to soothe her, but nothing seemed to work.
He made his way to Paloma's bedroom and found her sitting up in her crib, tears streaming down her cheeks. "Hey, sweetheart, what's wrong?" he asked softly as he lifted her into his arms.
Paloma clung to him, her tiny hands gripping his shirt as she continued to cry.
Adam's heart broke at his daughter's cries. He held her close and whispered soothingly, "It's okay, Paloma. Daddy's here, and you're okay." His arms were sore from practice but he couldn't get himself to leave her as she continued to cry loudly.
He gently rocked her back and forth, his heart aching as he tried to comfort her. Paloma's cries gradually subsided, and she nestled against his chest, her breathing slowly evening out. He didn't want to put her back in the crib because he didn't want to her wake up again and cry, so he stayed like that for a few seconds even if he was exhausted.
Cece walked in quietly and Adam put his finger on his finger to singal to be quiet. Paloma made a soft noise and Adam let out a sigh of exhaustion but to his surprise, she didn't start crying again as she saw Cece.
Instead, she sat up in Adam's arms and reached out to Cece, making a soft, wanting sound. Cece couldn't help but let out a laugh, her heart warmed by the sight of Paloma's tiny outstretched arms.
Adam slowly gave Paloma to Cece and she immediately held onto her, putting her head on her shoulder and her eyes immediately shut.
Adam watched with a mixture of relief and admiration as Paloma snuggled into Cece's arms, her cries now fully replaced by contentment. He had been worried about leaving her alone with the Cece, but this moment reassured him that he had made the right choice.
Cece held Paloma gently, her heart melting at the trust Paloma was placing in her. She swayed softly, creating a soothing rhythm that seemed to lull Paloma back into a peaceful slumber.
Adam couldn't help but smile at the sight. His daughter was finally finding comfort and security in the presence of another person. He made a gesture to the door to silently say he was going to leave and Cece gave him a sweet smile and a thumbs up with her free hand. As he left the room, his heart swelled at the new memory. He felt himself get used to Cece and Paloma together, it was a new welcome sight.
After he took a shower, he walked into the kitchen and he heard Paloma's bedroom door open quietly and then he turned to see Cece. She caught his gaze and smiled before walking up to him.
Adam felt comfortable as he saw Cece approaching him from the hallway. There was something comforting about her presence, something that put him at ease. He couldn't help but return her smile with a warm one of his own.
"Hey," she greeted softly, her voice carrying a sense of warmth and ease. "Paloma is back to sleep. I think she just needed a little reassurance."
"Good, I'm glad. Hopefully she sleeps the whole night." Adam sighed and he still sounded tired after his shower. You couldn't help but feel bad for him, you knew how much sports and a career could take a toll on a person. She couldn't even imagine on top of all of that, having a toddler to take care of. "And thanks, Cece. You're great with her."
She waved off his gratitude. "It's my pleasure, Adam. I enjoy spending time with her, she's such a sweet girl and she makes my job so much easier."
He nodded in agreement as he listened to her compliment. "She can be handful sometimes, but she's the best thing that's ever happened to me." There was a softness in his eyes as he spoke about his daughter, a deep love that was evident in every word.
Cece smiled warmly, her heart warmed by the genuine affection Adam had for Paloma. "It's clear how much you love her, Adam. It's beautiful to see."
Adam's gaze met hers, and for a moment, time seemed to slow down as they shared a silent connection. There was something about Cece that drew him in, something he couldn't quite put into words. He immediately internally yelled at himself, he couldn't ─ not with his nanny.
He cleared his throat, breaking the momentary silence. "Well, I'm glad you're here," he admitted, his eyes still fixed on her. "It's nice to have some company too."
Cece's smile brightened, and she took a step closer to him. "I'm here whenever you need me, Adam. For both of you." Her eyes widened as Adam looked back at her and she suddenly felt self-conscious. "Like, in a friend way. Of course," she laughed nervously.
Adam couldn't help but notice the sudden shift in Cece's demeanor, and he couldn't help but chuckle softly at her nervous laughter. He appreciated the clarification, even though part of him was tempted to explore where that unspoken connection might lead to.
"Of course, Cece," he replied with a warm smile. "Well, you're my first official friend in Ohio. Well, other than the team."
She returned the smile, "I'm honored, Adam." She laughed at that and he joined in a second later. The laughter filled the kitchen before she felt her phone buzz in her pocket.
"Oh shoot, I gotta get going. I have to pick up my friend,"
"No problem, Cece," Adam replied, his smile still lingering. "Thanks for taking care of Paloma tonight. And get home safe, text me when you get home." He wanted to self-palm himself after that one but Cece just smiled warmly at that, making all the anxiety melt away.
"I will, thank you. See you Monday," Cece replied, her warm smile making Adam's heart skip a beat. She waved goodbye before leaving, leaving Adam alone in the kitchen with a new sense of warmth and connection he hadn't felt in a while.

*Sounds of heavy breathing*
"This is Bravo 9, come in Bravo 7."
...
"Bravo 7, how copy?"
*Static*
"Shit. Ghost, are you there?"
...
"There must be something wrong with the comms. My traffic is going through but I can't hear you."
"Listen. I can't make it to the LZ. Got pinned down and separated from the group. Took out the sniper but there's hostiles between me and the rendezvous."
...
*Sigh*
"I'm going to have to take the long way around. I can't take that many at once, and I'm all alone out here."
*Sounds of muttered cursing*
"Just...if things get bad, don't wait for me. That information is more important than I am. You need to get it to Laswell."
"…I'd say promise me, but since I can't hear you I'll just have to pretend you said yes."
...
"...Looks like I got myself in another fine mess, huh LT?"
*Crackling sound of a heavy sigh*
"Ok, better get a move on. I'm keeping the line open in case comms come back."
"...I really hope they come back."
...
*Footsteps, leaves rustling, interrupted by brief pauses*
"...Anyone told you Georgia is actually quite pretty this time of year?"
*Static*
"Guess not."
...
"Could really use one of Soap's terrible jokes right about now. He ever told you the one about the seasoned veteran?"
*Static*
"Good. Don't ask. It was awful."
"...Shit. Hang on."
*Rustling, silence*
*Sound of nearby voices, presumably Russian*
"Don't send traffic. Wait for me to give the all clear that they've passed."
*Voices growing louder, leaves rustling*
"Christ, they're coming this way."
...
*Voices grow louder, footsteps and leaves rustling*
*Muffled sound of heavy breathing*
...
*Voices, fairly close by. Translation error*
...
*Voices grow distant, footsteps fade*
...
*Shaky exhale*
"That was way too fucking close."
*Heavy breathing slows*
*Rustling*
"Okay, I'm moving. Are the comms good?"
*Static*
"Just my luck. I don’t know about you Ghost, but my day is going just great right now.*
...
"I think they're gone. Somewhere off to my left. Thought I saw figures in the trees."
*Another shaky exhale*
"Could really use a drink right now to steady the nerves. Maybe you'll treat me back at base, yeah LT?"
*Static*
"You're no fun."
...
"I'm circling around the bluff now. If you haven't taken off yet, I should be at the LZ in 8 minutes."
"I really, really hope you guys are still there."
*Footsteps, leaves rustling*
*Gunshot*
"Fuck-!"
*Skidding, leaves rustling, gunfire.*
"There's a hostile on the bluff-"
*Gunshot*
"I'm made! Shit-!"
*Sounds of exchanging gunfire*
*Click of empty canister*
"God dammit I'm out of ammo! Shit-"
*Gunshots continue, static*
"You better get the hell out of here, Ghost. Don't wait for me. Get that data to Laswe-"
*Gunfire stops*
...
"...I..."
"Target down, but..."
...
"LT. I...didn't get him. Someone else did."
"...Was that one of you? Please say it was one of you."
*Static*
...
"Ghost."
"Ghost...I don't think I'm alone out here."
...
*Sounds of heavy breathing picking up*
"G-Ghost. Simon-"
"...It's him. It's König."
*Unsteady breathing*
...
"G-get the information to Laswell. I-I'm relaying my coordinates."
*Sound of approaching footsteps*
*Shaky exhale*
"...I-I'm-"
...
*Static*
...
...
*Loud footsteps, heavy breathing*
"Hello, little Maus."

Massive.
That's the first thought that enters your thoughts as you stare up in the darkness, eyes searching for König in the midnight forest. When he moved from the outcrop- the same place where your attacker's body now lays, blood seeping into the mountain soil, it felt for all the world like he was part of the forest itself. Dislodging himself from the shadows, König has simply appeared, rising up from the rocky ledge and then rising, unfurling like a gigantic, mammoth creature as he stood. The darkness of him rises, then rises still, towering to a superhuman height that has you freeze, feel the blood drain from your face.
Now, as moonlight filters through the spruce canopy above, you can see the edges of him glint in the darkness. The clear night catches against the metal of his bracers, his kneepads, the clasps of his helmet that dangle by his face, ever obscured by the hood streaked with bleach tears. You can hardly see his eyes like this, hidden as they are. Instead, you're greeted with the drape of his hood, melding the rest of him into a phantom, unknown silhouette. Here, in this witching hour, König appears as a strange, aberrant cryptid of the night. Mythic, eidolon.
"Hello, little Maus." He speaks, and the silence of these woods makes his voice sound so much louder, tumbling free of his chest like a forbidden eulogy.
You can't breathe.
Instead, your eyes fixate on him, on his form, stopped at a distance on the hill above you. The slope rises under his feet, one foot planted firmly on a boulder. It looks like a fallen animal under him, one he's freshly slain as he now poses above the carcass. It only serves to exaggerate his height, his width, the pure strength coiled in his muscles. Yet his hands lay conspicuously loose at his side, empty of weapons.
The memory of the forest you'd been in when he'd taken you whispers at the back of your mind, summoning sensations from the recesses of your thoughts. Hands, grabbing, lifting, slinging you over one massive shoulder, an arm securing you to his frame. Unbreakable, bound like a steel band across your torso.
Yet then, later, gentle, searching, ghosting across your skin and seeking the source of pain that he hoped to rectify, to heal.
Deadly, as he'd let his knife slice through the enemy who had tried to catch you by surprise, drawing streaks of red splattering against brick as he withdrew his blade, only for it to descend once, thrice more past flesh and sinew.
Yet on your own body, careful, firm, the gloved pad of his thumb stroking the inside of your wrist in a motion that made you shudder.
The contrast of it is too confusing, too stark and unsettling for you to fully consider it. Yet when you finally do shake that paradox away you realize you've given him precious time to advance on you, to take you by surprise and then take you, abducting as he did all those weeks ago.
Yet König hasn't moved at all, maintaining a safe distance away from you. He watches you silently, as if awaiting a response.
He's wide open.
You lift your weapon instantly, only to remember your desperate lack of ammo that would down a beast such as this.
König merely chuckles, and it sounds like a tremor, the low, almost indiscernible tremble of it echoing in your own chest. Yet even at the implied threat he doesn't advance on you, doesn't take ground given the chance. He stays exactly where he is, in the patch of moonlights that sifts downwards from the sky and through the curtain of branches above. Yet he doesn't speak either, simply tilting his head at you as he did within the confines of your cell, like a predator watching prey but never pouncing.
You eye him warily, trying to quell the bewilderment of it all, of his perplexing contradiction. It doesn't make sense. He's abducted you once, failed once more. Yet in both times he could have hurt you, tortured you, and yet instead showed restraint, even empathy. Now, when presented with the opportunity to steal you once more König remains conspicuously still, as if realizing his proximity will only frighten you.
There's no doubt in your mind, however, that if you turned, ran, that he would give chase, catch you within moments.
"What do you want?" You ask at last, and to your relief your voice doesn't waver, echoing clearly up the slope to where he stands.
"I told you once before." He replies after a pause, and you think he blinks at you from under the hood, like a cat, slow and reassuring. "I wanted to talk in private."
If König sees your expression flicker he doesn't say anything, not to the way doubt and stupefaction passes across your face.
"I...don't have anything to say to you." You manage at last, measuring your words carefully, expecting a trap.
You think you see the way his shoulders sink in the darkness, and the gesture seems for all the world to signal disappointment.
There's a pause then, and you feel your hackles rise, expecting König's presence to change, for him to take the opportunity to launch forwards and claim you. yet instead his voice is quieter, almost hesitant as he asks:
"Your leg, is it healed?"
You blink, lips parting in surprise. Strangely, you actually glance down at your leg, to the injury you had received moments prior to your last meeting as a bullet nicked your thighs and sent blood pooling into your boot. It had taken days to scrub the stain out.
"It's...healed." You answer at last, eyes flickering back to König doubtfully. "I got patched up after we...parted ways."
The word 'escape' lingers heavily across your tongue, but you feel that, should you speak it, König would only reek of further dejection, a bitterness that may sharpen into anger, action.
"I'm glad." He tells you simply, and this is confusing, strange in a way you aren't experienced with. You're used to the terrain ever changing under your feet, the world slowly rotating under you as you travel, transplanted wherever you're needed. Yet this, this is new, the balance, the off-kilter counterbalance of this conversation, of him.
Well. Two can play at that game.
"You tried to take me then, when I was injured." You speak up, trying to narrow your eyes into the darkness of his hood. "Why? To interrogate me again?"
König shakes his head after a moment.
"No." He replies simply, and there's something off about the way he's so readily open, unlike your first meeting. "I have all the information I need about you and your comrades."
You swallow. Your throat feels parched, a low scrape at the back of your mouth.
"…Then why?"
König pauses then, watching you. Yet there's something that's shifted now, as if you've struck near the heart of this, whatever this is. The behemoth before you is quiet now, not answering, watching like a wolf in the woods down at your smaller frame. It feels as if he has the answer, knows it himself and yet still refuses to speak it aloud, as if doing so would be summoning misfortune.
You could leave it, you could take the opportunity and leave, abandon this strange farce and rendezvous with your team, get the hell off this mountain and back to base.
You don't.
"And why not now?" You ask at once, voice sharper, accusatory.
"Do you want me to take you, Maus?"
You freeze.
There's an unsettled silence between you, one that wasn't there before this. The atmosphere has shifted, as you tense and stare at him, feel your muscles coil under the fabric of your clothes, the air still and stale between you both. König hasn't moved, and yet he feels different, as if prepared to act on your response. You have the feeling, the sudden, gut implication that if you agreed, if you whispered a small, horrible assent that König would descend, take you in his arms and march back into the woods, to some forbidden, unknown destination where you'd never be seen again.
"No." You say instead, but even then there's a waver there, one borne out of uncertainty that he'd acquiesce to even that, now that the air has shifted between you.
"No." He agrees, surprisingly, and the admission is enough to make the ground tilt under your feet once more, leave you reeling in the darkness. "They think you killed that man, the one who tried to stab you. They'll think you killed this one too. If I take you now they will kill you, Maus."
You blink, and for a moment you nearly grasp for something to steady yourself, trying to find a balance against this, whatever this is, the way König's words are so plain and yet convey so much unspoken.
He killed them. The ones who tried to attack you, to kill you. Yet he didn't take responsibility for their deaths, knowing that his slain allies blood would mean a noose around his neck, a bullet through his chest, if even that would kill him.
For what?
"You- you saved me." You murmur at last, and it's a question even if it isn't posed as so. The query remains clear, echoing like a clarendon owl call into the glen here you both stand.
König's answer is simple. A single word.
"Yes."
Your inquiry is just the same.
"...Why?"
König goes quiet again, but this time there is no sudden shift in atmosphere, no menace and unspoken threat emanating from his form, cloaked in shadow and moonlight. Instead, König merely shifts on his feet, hands clenching and unclenching at his sides. He averts his gaze for a moment, and the gesture seems strangely shy.
"I...wanted to talk to you again." He confesses at last when his eyes find yours, and you can see them now, see the pale whites of them under his hood where the paint has faded away, just like the outer shell of this man who would be your enemy.
The forest is silent around you both.
There's no words to describe the feeling that unfurls inside you. Hesitant, confused, shocked and yet...
Curious.
Soft. Dormant, rousing after a long sleep, when it had lain to rest on that day, where he had knelt before you, one of your hands clasped under his as he'd spoken that name to you.
Maus.
There's a though then, a toxically traitorous indulgence birthed only by the fact that this man poses no threat to you, simply stands in these woods as once who would be your enemy but chooses instead to not harm you, to simply watch and observe as one would a startled, frightened doe.
Perhaps he could be your friend, in another life, this man.
There's something sinfully endearing about this, about his shyness, his sudden vulnerability, his subdued confession, uttered with the same air you breathe in now. A sense of something that feels almost like regret. Bitter. Forbidden.
The moonlight shifts against the wafting breeze, and for a moment König's figure is plunged back into shadow.
The spell is broken.
"I have to go." You speak, and hate the way it sounds like an excuse instead of the declaration it should be. "They're waiting for me."
You tense, expecting for a moment that König will rescind his words, spring for you after all, launching down the slope with outstretched arms. Yet he doesn't. Instead, he only nods, conceding, agreeing.
You linger for a moment, unsteady, unsure. You half expect him to follow when you turn, but König gives no indication to do so, remaining where he stands.
So, you turn your back to him, making your way down the slope and away from him, trying desperately to ignore the strange churn in your stomach of emotions you can hardly decipher.
"Maus."
You pause, sucking in a sudden breath, the name like a gunshot in the darkness as he calls out for you. He sounds like he's right behind you, like he's closed the distance. Yet when you glance at him he hasn't moved.
"I'll see you again." He speaks, and the words are as much a promise as they are a threat, a strange, enigmatic paradox like a curse lain into your skin. “Soon.”
You regard him for a moment then, this strange, cryptid being who appeared from the forest shadows and yet didn't touch you. Spoke to you, answered to you, yes. Yet decided to let you go, to release you back into the direction of freedom.
A farewell lingers on your lips. You bite down on it, and when you do, you can almost taste blood.

Sorry I lied about the rook and sebek HCs. I have Sebek's pretty much done I think, but Rook remains an enigma. Might post them separately, idk.
Kuni's appearance is inspired by the desert horned viper. If the formatting seems a little weird at any point, it's because tumblr messed it up when I copy/pasted it here. Might fix it later.
6.5k words or so.
The Desert of Hadramaveth.
You haven't been here before. You thought the rest of the desert was bad, between the heat which was "enough to melt a mist flower but not really" (paraphrased from a certain fox friend) and the unforgiving terrain.
This was worse, with its near-constant sandstorms. This was the second one today, and you had only just left the Tanit camp. In other areas of the desert, you were begging for a reprieve from the sun, but here, you were almost begging for it back if it meant you didn't have to worry about getting sand in your eyes and throat. It was almost, almost enough to make you consider turning around and dropping the commission.
"Do you want to hear a dry joke?"
If it weren't for your friend here, you probably would. Unfortunately, you can't turn back now that you've gotten his hopes up. The most you can do is slump your shoulders and sigh, suffocating under the endless heat, what little you could see of the sun, and what you knew was coming next.
"Sure, I'll bite."
A large, beaming grin spread across Sanad's face, and you braced yourself.
"A desert."
"That's terrible."
"Oh, come on! It's funny and you know it!"
"Does that even count as a proper j-"
You paused, looking up at the sky. In the distance, you could see a large, beige cloud. Again?
"We need to find shelter. There's a sandstorm coming."
"Well, looks like we're in luck. Where isn't shelter?" he responded.
It was true. You and Sanad were somewhere just north of the Tanit Camps, near Wadi Al-Majuj. Ahead of the both of you was the entrance to a deep canyon, lined with ancient ruins. According to the map, it was called Pairidaeza Canyon. Behind you, there was another entrance to a different canyon, and according to your map, if you went back a ways and to the right, there'd be a third one.
"Come on, let's go! I need to look through these for my thesis!" He rushed, running ahead of you.
"Careful!" you called out. "There might be bandits down there."
He immediately slowed to a stop, sheepishly turning around to move back to his place next to you.
"On second thought, take your time. Just make sure there's nobody else in there."
You chuckle, already starting a reasonable pace down the steep slope into the canyon. "Thought so. Just a reminder, we're leaving immediately once the sandstorm ends, unless we find who or what we're looking for."
Right. What you were looking for. Recently, small groups of travelers and even large caravans were being attacked. Most of the attacks occurred between the Tanit Camp and around the Passage of Ghouls. A few supplies were usually stolen, but that wasn't the worst part.
A few days later, the rotting corpse of one of the travelers or nomads would be found, half-eaten and with a twin set of puncture marks in their throat. Any useful supplies would be missing, but oddly enough, the mora was almost never taken.
Normally, you'd assume that maybe it was just a deranged serial killer, and either the bodies were eaten by wild animals or the culprit was worse than you thought. But it was strange. What serial killer had fangs like that? And if it was a wild animal, what use would they have for supplies like bedrolls and first aid kits?
The survivors usually all said the same thing; they were caught out in the middle of a sandstorm, and all they heard was a scream or shout before one of their friends disappeared. When the body was found, some key survival supplies would be missing as well. When a caravan was attacked, some supplies (and occasionally people) would even be snatched right off the backs of the desert sumpter beasts.
Hence why you and your friend Sanad were out here to crack this strange case. Mostly you, though, since Sanad only wanted to take a gander at the desert ruins for some Akademiya thing. You'd probably have gone alone (or at least tried to, before you decided the mora wasn't worth it) but when he heard that you were going to this section of the desert, he insisted on coming for his thesis or something like that. He helped pay for the trip, and he was paying you personally, so you had no reason to refuse. He was your friend, and good company to boot, even if he was a little bit skittish.
"Well, that might be possible... but you said you didn't even know if the culprit was a person, didn't you?" he inquired, as the both of you passed the first of the ruins in the canyon.
You sighed. "Yeah, I told you all about that already."
A glimmer of excitement appeared in his eyes. "Well, I've been thinking since then, and I remembered this old desert legend! Have you heard of nagas?"
"Nagas?" you parroted.
"Yes, nagas!" He nodded his head. "They're an ancient race of ferocious half-human half-snake people that supposedly existed during the reign of King Deshret. Apparently they were equal parts revered and feared, as wise and strong beings."
You raised a somewhat skeptical brow. "I thought you didn't believe in legends?"
He laughed. "The Akademiya has declared them to be just baseless nonsense, so of course I don't think they actually exist. I just think it's very interesting, and it technically matches what we know..." He trails off, looking around in awe.
"If you want to look around, you can. Tell me if you see or hear anything."
You didn't need to tell him twice. With a rushed "thanks!" and a wave, he was practically bouncing up what probably used to be a set of stairs to a higher level within the ruins, off to your left. In the meantime, you'll look around, see if you can find anything interesting.
You looked up and around, spinning on your heels. From what you've seen of the canyon so far, it's just a straight corridor with partially collapsed stone ruins on both sides, and a fallen wooden bridge that once connected them. You can see several ways to climb up higher and explore the ancient stone buildings, including the way up that Sanad went.
You and Sanad are pretty deep into the canyon at this point, and you have to crane your head just to see the top. As you do this, you notice just how many floors there are in the ruins. Some have crumbled so much they seem almost completely inaccessible. They're so high up, you can't see anything on them from your angle at the bottom.
There's just so many places to hide. The realization makes you tense up a little. Maybe you should have gone up with him.
It's so strange though. The complicated ruins, numerous hiding places, and the nearby water would make this place an ideal camping spot for bandits and thieves. But so far, you haven't seen hide or hair of anyone else. Not even an abandoned camp.
Until somewhere in the ruins, you hear an odd sound. It's hard to make out, and it sounds so much like the normal shifting sand that you almost brush it off as a natural sound in the canyon. But you hear stone crumbling and rocks falling, and you look up, seeing something move on the side of a ledge too far above you to check. It's close enough that some of the rocks hit the ground next to you. You squint, watching the ledge, waiting for whatever it was to move again, but the sound stops. The hair on your neck stands on end–from what, you aren't sure. Sanad is even closer to the source of the sound than you are, but not far away at all. Just out of sight. Was it from him? Or someone watching him?
Or are they watching you?
You're not sure, and you'll check just in case. Sanad doesn't have anything to defend himself with except for a dagger. Without another thought, you surge up the stone steps, hand subconsciously finding its place on the pommel of your sword. When you get up there, you see him standing with a hand on his chin, studying some old glowing contraption you've never seen before.
"Did you hear that?" you ask, breathing just a little heavier than normal.
He turns to you somewhat incredulously, just as fine as ever. "Hear what? I haven't heard anything. Are you alright?"
You calm down a little bit, letting your hand fall from your sword. "I'm fine. I was just worried about you. Didn't you hear that noise? I saw something move up there." You look up at the ledge the rocks came from. You don't see any way to get up there that's safe.
The sand is starting to pour in harder through the massive gap in the canyon ceiling, and the wind is beginning to howl. You and Sanad are slowly being dusted in sand.
"You're a little on edge. Relax! A sandstorm is starting and the wind and sand probably just knocked a few rocks into the canyon or something. It happens all the time." He flashed you a reassuring smile, turning back to... whatever those were on the wall. They're shaped somewhat like bowls, and as sand pours into them, sand also pours out a hole in the side into another one of them. You're not the researcher here, so you ignore it.
You let go of some of the tension in your shoulders, letting out a held breath. "Alright, sorry for bothering you then. Just so you know, if the sandstorm gets any worse, we'll be moving deeper into the canyon to get out of the sand."
He turns back to you, somewhat pleading. "But can't I stay? I'm not the one looking for the guy, so you don't need me to come with you, right?"
You expected this, just as you expect that he'll be the one choosing to come with you after what you say next. "Yeah, you could, but if something happens I probably won't be able to hear it if I'm down there."
He freezes, grimacing a bit. "Alright, alright. Let me know when you move on."
As expected.
You chuckle at him with a lopsided smile, turning back to go down the ramp. He was probably right. It seemed like such a silly thing to panic over. Of course sand and rocks would shift and fall in the desert during a sandstorm. That's probably all you saw. You're glad you brought Sanad along and not some other stuck-up researcher who would have made fun of you for it.
When you reach the bottom again, you turn your attention to the ground. Aside from the sounds of the howling wind and pouring sand, you can hear water dripping as it coalesces into the wide but shallow puddle in front of you. That's not what interests you, though.
There's a long indentation in the sand, about as wide as you are, as if something had been dragged through. It extends further into the cave, where the ground becomes rockier and the track disappears.
You crouch down to inspect them further. Chances are, it's probably a large haul of supplies that was too big to properly carry. This place is the perfect hideout for thieves and bandits, so it would be worthwhile to investigate. If you're lucky, it might be the bandit you're looking for.
The canyon starts to darken, so much so that you now have trouble making out the edges of the track. Most of the sunlight that filtered in through the top has disappeared behind a haze. The sound of howling wind grows louder, and the hiss of pouring sand all around you is almost deafening. You've had quite enough of the sand raining on and around you, so you call out for Sanad to come back. It doesn't take him long to come rushing back down the way he came.
"We're heading deeper in to wait out the rest of it," you explain.
He sends a longing look back at where he had come from. "Alright... I see," he concedes, with a dejected slump of his shoulders.
You'll humor him. "Did you find anything interesting?"
He instantly brightens up, excited to talk about whatever he found. "Yes! It's this interesting mechanism that fills with sand. I read about it in a textbook once! It can be opened and closed, but I couldn't figure out how to. I've heard if you can fill them as they were intended to be, you can get treasure from them!"
You two begin moving deeper into the canyon, and you send him a teasing smile. "With the way you're talking, I'd almost think you're the adventurer here."
He shudders. "I could never. At least, not as a full time job. You encounter monsters all the time, don't you?"
"They're not so difficult to deal with, once you're used to seeing them."
"That is not at all reassuring!" He stops to let out a breath. "No, I just want the free mora. Trips like these are expensive."
You sigh. "Well, if you want to, we can at least take a crack at it together on the way out of here."
His eyes light up again. "That's wonderful! We can even split the rewards if we manage to solve it!"
"No more than an hour, though," you warn. "With all the sandstorms, we don't have the time to waste."
"Aww, fair enough." A moment of silence passes, and he turns back to you. "Oh, I almost forgot to ask you! Did you find anything interesting?"
You think back, and the only thing that comes to mind are the tracks.
"Well, a little bit behind us, I found these drag marks. Like someone had dragged a big bag or something, I couldn't tell what."
"Drag marks? Oh, so maybe it really is a naga after all."
You turn to him in exasperation. "Didn't you just say you didn't believe in them? Besides, why'd you even tell me about them if you don't think they exist?"
He laughs. "I'm kidding! I only told you mostly because I wanted to. But I have a more realistic theory too!"
"Really now?" You raised a skeptical brow.
He turns to you, faking a gasp in faux offense. "Why are you looking at me like that? Of course I do! I don't study at the Akademiya for nothing!"
You chuckle. "Oh, go on then. Don't keep me waiting."
"What if the culprit keeps a snake around? Think about it, at the price of a little food, they'd get an unlimited supply of p–Hey! Don't laugh at me! It's not as ridiculous as it sounds!"
Apparently you weren't as good at hiding your snickers as you thought. "No, no, I'm not laughing at you. I was just imagining it in my head. From what I heard, it would have to be a pretty big one based on the size of the puncture wounds and the distance between the fangs."
He crossed his arms, looking away. Guess he didn't quite believe you. "It's not THAT unbelievable, especially in comparison to the naga theory... Haven't you seen the street performers with the snakes in Port Ormos?"
You hold your hands out in a placating gesture. "Okay, okay, you're right, I'm sorry. But your theory doesn't explain everything–what about the half-eaten bodies part? And they almost never take mora either... besides, the street performers use nonvenomous snakes."
"I guess it would be risky, but in theory, venomous snakes can be trained too! Desert dwellers tend to be... fearless. Though..." He puts a hand to his chin in contemplation, looking down. "I'm not quite sure about that other part either. Though it's not as if cannibalism was ever off the table, there's always the chance it was just wild animals that found the body after. As for mora... maybe it's someone who never gets the chance to spend it anyway?"
"Like, a recluse or something?" you pipe up.
"Yeah, exactly! Someone who's completely self-sufficient, who doesn't need to deal with other people to survive. Makes enough sense. They probably get everything they need from the people they're attacking."
At this point, the both of you are up to your ankles in water. The canyon is fairly wide at the bottom and grows so much narrower towards the top that very little sand makes it through, so you take the liberty of brushing as much of it off of you as possible. The both of you pass the last of the stone ruins. Up ahead is just bare, mostly untouched canyon. It's damp enough to support an amount of greenery that seemed a little out of place in the desert. You can still hear the wind howl, but it's a bit quieter here.
You and Sanad pass an opening in the wall to your right, leading to a dead end with a fairly deep pool and what looked to be a crumbled stone bridge.
"Your theory is a little... out there, but some of it definitely makes a good deal of sense."
"It's an early hypothesis! We'll revise it as we find more evidence."
You roll your eyes a bit. "It's alright, I'm not judging you."
You look around again. There's plenty of dry places to stop and rest without worrying about sand, so this should be an adequate place to wait it out.
"Why don't we stop here?"
"Not yet!" Sanad points further into the cave, where it opens up some more, with a rock jutting out of the center of the room, surrounded on one side by a shallow stream of water. "I can see more ruins in there! You can stop there and I can keep looking around."
You sigh, for what felt like the hundredth time. As much as you wanted to rest, it wasn't far away at all. "Alright. But we're still going back to that mechanism immediately once the sandstorm is over."
"I know, I kn–"
From an entrance to another path to your right came a blur, barreling right at Sanad. You have barely enough time to shove him behind you and out of its way before it stops in front of you both, dark claws bared.
Now that you can get a look at it, you realize it's a scarred, shirtless man with a dark head of hair, sharp indigo eyes, and... two pale, straight horns? Looking down, he doesn't have a pair of legs, but a sand-colored snakelike tail with rough scales. Even without the rest of his tail, which was hidden behind him, he's quite literally twice your size.
A naga?
He sneers at your sword as you pull it from your sheath, showing off a long pair of fangs. "A little short, isn't it?" He hisses. "Good luck with that."
"Sanad, get back!" You cry, holding your sword out in front of you threateningly. The naga seemed more amused than anything, simply starting to circle. Watching.
While you backed up to keep the naga from getting between you and Sanad, he hurriedly ran far back the way the both of you came, staying just close enough to watch the both of you.
Without warning, the naga lunged forward, one claw-tipped hand reaching out to swipe at you. You swung your sword at his arm, but missed, just barely grazing his side. Still, it was enough to force him back. He brushed over the superficial wound with one hand, smearing what little blood came from it, taking a look.
You stand there, adrenaline pumping through your veins, unsure of what to do. His reach was almost as long as yours, even though you were the one with the sword. This has to be who you're looking for, but you're beginning to think that you should've brought more people.
When he looks back at you, that cruel sneer is still set in his face, but a glint of annoyance is now present in his eyes.
"Lucky hit. Don't count on it happening again."
He doesn't hesitate, rushing forward immediately. You swing again, but it's too early, and he barely has to slow down before he's coming at you again. He's so close now that he grabs your shoulder, claws digging in hard enough to draw blood, shoving you down. In a blind panic, you're forced to adjust your grip on your sword so that you can bring your arm back and stab into his tail.
Before you even realize what's happened, you're on the ground, wind knocked out of your lungs. The arm that had held your sword is pinned to the ground by one of his hands, the other still holding onto your shoulder. You wheeze pathetically while he leans down and slides his fangs into your throat.
Your sword had bounced off of his scales, barely even leaving a mark.
The first thing you feel in your throat is pain, followed by an overwhelming numbing sensation, only interrupted by pins and needles. He chuckles as you thrash around in his hold, your free hand trying to push him off. The sensation is spreading, from your shoulder down even to your fingertips. The only thing you can do is let out a pained groan.
The pressure, from anything, from his hands on you to your own as you push and hit him, hurts. Like everything that touches you only pushes those pins and needles deeper into your skin. It's this feeling that finally makes you go limp in his hold, giving in. It gives you the chance to look up, focus on anything but him, and see that Sanad has long since abandoned you. Lucky bastard.
You hope that he gets away, at least. Even as the half-snake thing on you pulls away to hold your face in one hand, forcing you to look at him.
"Seems your little friend didn't care for you as much as you cared for him. Don't worry. I'll do you a favor and make sure he gets what's coming to him." You manage to focus on his face, smeared with your blood and that same, ever-present sneer, but with something else behind it. Something vindictive.
You grit your teeth. It stung, even though you knew it was the only reasonable thing for Sanad to do.
It's petty, and it won't do you any favors, but you lift your arm and slap him across the face as hard as you can. The impact alone sends shocks of pain down your arm, but he barely even moves.
Instead, he laughs in your face, dark amusement flitting across his hauntingly beautiful features. "What was that? A love tap? After everything, I'm surprised you can even try." He leans in closer still, your noses almost touching.
"I'm sure you feel proud of yourself, don't you? Good job! I might just leave you for last, then."
Without another word, he dashes off to find Sanad, and all you can do is pray the snake isn't successful. After all, what's a pampered Akademiya researcher to do against a man-eating monster?
You try to stand, but a bone-deep exhaustion pulls at your limbs. You can only get halfway up before your vision starts to go dark and you collapse onto the ground in a graceless heap. The pressure still hurts, a strange buzzing sensation rising alongside the needles and numbness. All you can do to help it is curl onto your side, minimizing your contact with the ground.
You lay there for a while, drifting in and out of consciousness for who knows how long. The pain is fading slightly, but you're not sure if it only feels that way because you're getting used to it.
Maybe you're dying.
A chill goes down your spine at the thought, and you do your best to dismiss it. It isn't hard, not when your thoughts are interrupted by a terrified, blood-curdling scream cut too short to be natural.
It brings you back to your senses. You keep listening, but you can't hear any more noises over the constant sounds of the canyon. Dripping water, falling sand, and the howling wind.
If that was Sanad, then since you're already deep within the snake's den, it must be only a matter of time before he gets back...
You're pushing yourself back on your feet before you know it, another rush of adrenaline supporting you. To do what, you're not sure. If you couldn't win before, you certainly can't now. But you're already running as best you can to where you saw Sanad go, though it's more of a relatively fast half-stumble than anything else. Everything still hurts, and beneath the venom you can start to feel your muscles ache too, but if you focus on moving it isn't unbearable.
You forgot your sword. You'd turn back to get it, but even with the adrenaline your limbs feel like lead, and your sword arm is so weak you don't think you could do more than carry it anyway.
You've just reached the ruins again, and looking around at all the nooks and crannies gives you the idea to hide. As sluggish and unarmed as you are, you can't fight anyway. Maybe if you hide long enough, he'll go away. Sanad might still be alive, if you can make it to him.
You don't know how long you were laying there, but if you could hear Sanad, they couldn't have gotten far. That fact is a double-edged sword, you realize. It's been a while since you heard his scream, and if the naga was coming back then it wouldn't be long until you saw him. You don't have much time.
You stagger your way as fast as you can manage to your right. You don't see anywhere to hide down at the bottom, but there are plenty of places above. It's so much harder than walking on flat ground, but you force yourself up a wooden ramp onto a stone platform. There aren't a variety of places to hide here, either, but you don't have the energy to go up any higher.
You hear the water below you being disturbed, in a way too constant to be footsteps, and you quickly duck forward to avoid being seen. You don't dare look, instead opting to slowly move towards a large stone statue to your right, as quietly as possible. With one look back to make sure he hadn't come up to check, you hide behind the stone dais that the statue rested on.
You take a breather, listening for any more sounds. You can't hear the water being disturbed anymore, but the thought of moving alone is both terrifying and exhausting. If you wait too long and he finds you gone, he'll probably come back to look for you. On the other hand, if you leave too early and he hears you...
With this in mind, you rest a few minutes more. The wind is slowing down, and there's less sand in the air than there was when you and Sanad first came through, so the sandstorm has likely stopped. At least the naga won't have that going for him too, once you and Sanad leave.
You'd stay longer, but the anxiety eats at you. It's only a matter of time until the naga comes back, and you don't know what condition Sanad is in.
You get up on shaking legs, your body begging you to sit back down and rest more. You know better, so you force yourself forward, looking over the ledge to make sure he isn't nearby.
You stumble back down the wooden ramp, turning to continue down the path to the exit. You have to stick to the sides of the path, where the sand is highest, just to make sure nobody can hear the sounds of splashing water.
Sanad can't be too far off now. Maybe he'll be in the same state you are, and you both can return to the Tanit camp and get help. You still have your pack on you, but the only thing that might be useful soon is the small first aid kit and the knife.
You really hope you won't need the knife.
Just in case, you pull it out of your pack and put in in your pocket. You're out of the water now, but you've come to a steep hill. The only way out is up. You hope you can make it.
You grit your teeth, sweat dripping down the side of your face as you force yourself up the incline. Onward and upward, you think bitterly. The overused phrase "ad astra abyssosque" parroted endlessly by everyone else at the Adventurer's Guild comes to mind. You never thought you'd make it to the stars or abyss to begin with, but you didn't think your journey would end so soon, either.
Your muscles burn with exhaustion, and you think you can feel the numbness slowly spreading further into your legs. Still, you continue upwards, at a much slower pace, even as you almost collapse a few times.
You come up to a point where the hill flattens out for a short distance. You're panting from the exertion, and you almost breathe a sigh of relief until you see what's in front of you.
"Sanad!"
Before you know it, you've staggered forward to collapse at his side. He's lying face-down on the ground in a small pool of his own blood.
You turn him over, tears pricking at your eyes, praying his condition wasn't as bad as it seemed. His head lolled to the side, face pale and eyes empty, unmoving. The blood, on the ground and splattered all over the front of his Akademiya robes, still dripped from the massive tear in his neck. It looked like a set of claws had dug into his skin and tore off the front of his throat.
Your breath hitches, and you fall backwards, dropping his body. Tears well up in your eyes. Why hadn't he done the same to you? Why did he do so much worse to-
"So, so loyal. Like a dog running to protect its master. You're adorable, really, even if you're a little late."
You freeze, only turning your head to look over your shoulder at him. He's slowly approaching, a condescending smirk on his lips. Half-dried blood covers one of his hands.
"There's no need to mourn. He was pathetic. Did you know that he only cared enough to fight when it was his life on the line?" He looked distant for a moment, before looking at you with something almost soft in his eyes. It disappeared so fast, you'd almost think you had imagined it, the condescending smirk and mock pity sliding to cover his face once more. "You poor thing. You're better off without him. No need to thank me."
You blink away the tears, an idea coming to mind. You couldn't overpower or outrun him, so there's only one possible option for you. "You're a... you're a lying bastard! What else was he going to do?" You yelled at him, pushing yourself up on unsteady legs to face him, backing over your friend's body.
"Humans are untrustworthy," he croons, following after you. His eyes don't leave you even once. He's sizing you up, and with nothing more than a moment of contemplation, his smirk widens and a victorious glint appears in his narrowed eyes. "He was using you. Once you were no longer useful to him, he discarded you. It's pretty naive to think he left you with any other thought in mind."
You don't dignify that with a response, continuing to back up. One of your hands almost moves down to your pocket, where your knife is hidden, but you stop it before he sees.
Your heel hits the sharp incline behind you, where the hill keeps going, and you fall backwards and hit the ground. A derisive snort comes from the snake.
"I've decided what I'm going to do with you. It's much better than what I did to your friend, here. You should thank me, really." He towers over you, leaning down to your level, setting a hand down on the ground next to you. Your hand twitches for your knife.
He watches you for a moment, a quiet, breathy laugh leaving his lips at your frozen state. All you do is stare at him, shaking from the adrenaline. Finally, his other hand comes up to rest on the nape of your neck, pushing you closer to him. You can feel the sticky blood on his fingers.
His eyes glimmer with excitement, and he continues while your hand slowly drifts to your pocket. "You're just helpless. I think I'm going to keep you with me, like a little p-"
You thrust your knife at him, landing a hit on his side while he lurches away. Your blood runs cold. It should have been buried hilt-deep, but instead all you've done is leave a bleeding gash. It's not quite superficial, but it won't stop him, and you know you won't be able to land another.
His lips curl in a snarl as you scramble backwards up the hill. You turn, and start running, but adrenaline can only carry you so far. You feel almost like you're in a nightmare, fully conscious and trying to run but unable to move at any pace that could possibly save you.
It only takes a moment for a large hand to wrap around your ankle, dragging you underneath him. Your face hits the ground and your hands scrabble for purchase, but the dirt and sand only give way beneath your fingers. His other hand finds the wrist with the knife, squeezing tightly enough that you can feel the pain, even underneath the lingering numb, buzzing sensation. You can't feel your hand well enough to keep holding onto the knife. The pins and needles return, and tears prick at your eyes.
He knocks the knife far away from you and flips you over to look at him, dark eyes still burning with anger. "You're alive only because I let you live. Did you really think trying that was smart? Did you finally get it all out of your system, or do you want to try again?"
You try to speak, but the words get caught on the lump in your throat. A hand slams on the ground next to you, and you shrink in on yourself.
"Well?" A glimmer of satisfaction appeared in his eyes, even as his lip curled in a mixture of amusement and contempt. "I'm waiting."
It's all you can do to croak out a few apologies and look away, unable to stand his stare.
A deep chuckle resonates from his chest, and his other face grips your jaw, forcing you to look at him again. "Good enough," he croons. "Looks like it won't be so bad for you, then."
"What? What won't?" you whimper. His hand lets go of your face, drifting down to encircle your neck. Your hands instinctively wrap around his wrist, silently begging him not to squeeze.
That little mocking smile on his face widens. His hand tightens a little, and you panic for a second, but it doesn't go any further. Instead, his eyes grow distant, thinking.
They brighten up again, an idea coming to mind. He laughs quietly to himself, pulling his other hand off the ground and trailing it down your leg. "You can call me... Kunikuzushi. I think I know what I'm going to do with you now."
"Please don't hurt me," you plead, vision blurring with tears. He doesn't even look at you, instead watching his hand as he grabs your calf and pulls it up. "It's a little late for that," he hums, adjusting his grip to hold onto your ankle instead. His fingers are long enough to wrap fully around it and then some.
"I can't watch you all the time, and I need to buy myself enough time to get something to restrain you with... besides, you deserve this anyhow."
You were about to ask him what he meant by that, but with a distressing amount of ease, he twisted your ankle to the side hard enough that you could hear the pop. The pins and needles returned to that area full-force, the buzzing and numbing sensations right behind it. It didn't hurt that much, though. You could feel an ache beneath it all, but it didn't hurt as much as it should have. You were sure you could still walk on it.
Until you looked down, where it was still in his hand, twisted so far to the side that you weren't sure it would ever be the same again. It doesn't hurt that much, but your shoulders still shake and you still start to cry.
"There, there," he murmurs, dropping your ankle to stroke your hair. He leans down lower, a smile a little too sharp to be soft on his lips. "You'll be okay. I wouldn't get a pet if I couldn't take care of it."
You try to push him away. You know you need to do something about your ankle, but he only presses closer, resting more of his weight on you so thay you can't see it anymore. "It's a bit too late for that now, don't you think?" he whispers, leaning in to press his lips against yours, too eager and with too much teeth. You flail a bit, trying to push him off, but he only chuckles into the kiss, biting your lip hard enough to draw blood. An arm wraps around your waist, pushing you closer.
It feels like an eternity, but soon he's sweeping you up and slinging you over his shoulder. He turns around to go back down into the canyon, and you watch Sanad's corpse disappear over the hill.
This time, you can feel him rumble with the force of his laugh.
"I'm going to have so much fun with you."

dad!steve and your little son wants to paint his nails like the girl in his class and steve is all for it and very supportive and sweet<3<3<3
ty for ur request ♡ mom!reader | 0.7k words
"I have a question," your son says.
You're instantly charmed. "What's your question, short-stack?"
He climbs onto the sofa next to you and slouches down. You grin at him. He looks so much like Steve these days, it's impossible not to see it.
"Maisy M in my class," he says, though you know very well who Maisy is, "she came into school today and all her nails were different colours."
"She must've had her mom paint them."
"With paint?"
"With nail polish."
He looks happy at this new information, falling into your lap with a sweet harrumph.
Steve appears in the doorway with a drink that you'd planned on sharing, though as soon as your son lays eyes on it he's holding out his hands.
"Little monster," you say.
"Handsome little monster," Steve corrects, sitting down beside a pair of too long legs. "Jeez, kid, what is this now? Growth spurt five? Six?"
After mauling your drink with backwash, your son sucks in a big breath and declares, "I want to paint my nails like Maisy M."
You smile at him, but it's a guarded thing. Whether you think it's okay or not – and it is, of course it is – painting your nails as a boy is the kind of thing that'll get him made fun of. It sucks but it's true. You meet Steve's eyes over a small head of dark hair, unsure.
Steve grins at you. "What colour?" he asks.
"All of them!"
"Why don't you go get your mom's make-up bag? The pink one with the hearts on her vanity?"
He grins and you take the drink out of his hands so he can scramble off of the couch and start up the stairs, a riot of footsteps overhead.
"Steve…"
"I know." Steve tilts his head toward his shoulder apologetically. "I know, sorry. But he's gonna look so cute."
"The other kids-"
"Are losers if they say anything."
"Their parents."
Steve pulls your arm toward him and starts to draw lines, the kind that'll have you dozing against his shoulder if you aren't careful. "Me and Mindy are tight. If they say something, I'll fuck them up."
"Your friendship with the head of the PTA might not be enough to fix it. You know… this is the kind of thing that could- could alienate him, Stevie."
"If a few coats of nail polish are enough to do that, maybe he's better off." He softens. "I know. Just… should we really stop him from doing what he wants to because other people think it's bad?"
You lean against the cushions and frown. "No, of course not."
He leans against it too, the both of you eye to eye. You know every detail, every eyelash and every beauty mark, but sometimes you look at him and it's all brand new. He's got a formidable twist to his brows, planning. "If anyone tries anything, me and Mindy'll put 'em on cupcake duty at the bake sale."
"Not cupcake duty." You laugh.
"Butterfly cupcakes, too. With homemade buttercream."
A makeup bag thrown into Steve's lap breaks your joking, a terrible clinking of fragile glass.
"I want purple, and green, and red, and lellow-"
"Yellow," you correct your son gently.
"Yellow, that's what I said."
He's so much like his dad you could cry.

Midnight Picnic
Walker Scobell X Reader | Series | You Belong With Me🔱 Part 12
I made a playlist for this story!! If you wanna hear click this🤍
You were fast asleep when you heard someone knock on your window.
"What the-?" You stumbled out of bed and to the window
"Walker?!" You mumble confused
"Hey my princess!" He looked at you with his beautiful blue eyes
"What are you doing here?" You rub your eyes
"Hey! Come on I wanna take you somewhere " He smiles
"Where?" You ask
"If I tell you that then I'll ruin the surprise." He smiles really big
You look at the time and it says 2am
"Walker it's 2am my mom is going to freak" You protest
"Don't worry. I asked her a few days ago and she said it was fine." You reassures you
Walker wouldn't lie to you. Ever. You were thinking about going with him as you looked at him and he was looking up at you. Sitting with his elbows on the windowsill.
"Besides you're usually up at this hour anyway." He said trying to get you to go
"Okay...let me go get dressed" You close the window almost on his fingers
You looked in the effecting of your mirror at Walker and he had his mouth open and you giggled.
You looked around in your closet for your big sweat to just throw over your pajamas (your pajamas was a tank top and shorts). You fluff you hair with your hand trying your best to make yourself look good...when you just woke up.
<INSERT OUTFIT>
"Okay ready" You come out of the bathroom
"Finally!" He rolls his eyes
"Hey you woke me up! You're lucky you're alive...you know how dangerous it is" You point a finger to his chest and try to look threatening
"You'd never hurt me you love me" He grabbed your finger and kissed it
"I don't know. You're pretty annoying sometimes" you say as Walker helps you out the window.
"You look so beautiful" He smiles down at you softly
"Yeah right. I just woke up...I look terrible" You reply
"You look stunning every single moment of everyday y/n" He looks at you with so much live in his eyes
You blush
"You look pretty great too" You nudge his shoulder"
"So you're just blinded by love now?" He jokes
"Please! You're gorgeous!" You look at him
"Yeah right" He says skeptically as you roll your eyes
"Why didn't we just use the front door?" You asked
"Because it's more romantic this way" He smiles holding your hand
"True" you shrug squeezing his
You walk for a few minutes as Walker had his arm around you.
"Where are we going?" You ask
"Not telling" he replies
"Where are we going?"
"I'm not going to tell you"
"Where are we going?"
"If you don't stop I'm going to turn this car right around!" He says jokingly like a parent
"But we're not in a car" You point out with a giggle
"You know what I mean" the rolls his eyes
About 2 minutes later you walked up to something beautiful. There was: a blanket out on the grass with pillows and blankets thrown around on it, strings of light over the blanket, a wooden tray with chocolate, cheese, crackers, fruit and bread, a martinelli's bottle was in an ice bucket and finally there was a bouquet of flowers.
"Oh Walker" you gasps
"Do you like it?" He asks with a hopeful smile
"I love it! Only..." You stop
"Only what?" Walker asks worried
"Well...you know how I eat. We might still be hungry." You chuckle
Just as you say that Walker moves a pillow and you see 2 to go boxes.
"You know me so well" you smile and sit down
You open the box and see spaghetti covered in cheese
"Oh! And the cheese! I love you so much!" You kiss him
"You only love me because I feed you" He jokes
"Maybe" you say with a funny smile
He sits down next you you and take a bite of the spaghetti. You talk and talk. It was so nice. When you finish eating you and Walker lay down. You lay your head on his chest and he put his arm around you.
"When did you know you loved me?" He asks
"The moment I saw you. Then when we talked I had butterflies in my stomach. I knew. I just knew." You swoon
"What about you?" You ask
"When I saw you for the first time in Thor. I looked at you and everything faded away. I knew I had to have you." He replied softly and kisses your head
"Hey look at me now. With you." He looks at you as you look up at him
"I love you so much y/n" He says before he kisses you too
"I love you too" You smile
With a gust of wind you shiver
Walker lays a blanket over the both of you
After a long time of talking but also just looking at the stars the sun starts to come up.
"I need to take you back to your humble abode" He says softly
"I don't wanna go!" You whine
"I promised your mom you would be back before the sun comes up." He tells you
"Fine" you mumble
You were helping him clean up but he grabbed the stuff from you and put it back down.
"What are you doing?" You ask confused
"If we only get a few more minutes together tonight...I want to spend them dancing with you." He turns slow music on his phone and wraps his arms around you.
You put your heads together and close your eyes as you slowly sway to the music.
"I just wanna stay here forever" You whisper
"Me too" He whispers too
"I love you so much" Walker says softly
"I love you too" You reply
After about 20 minutes you were walking back to your house. You get to the window of your room and climb in.
"I had an amazing time tonight. It was like a dream" You say to him
"I'm so glad you liked it" He kisses you
Then you close the window as he walks away
You lay down on your bed and open your phone
