you went out in the freezing cold without a coat on, even though they told you to put it on

he’s very sweet, always making sure if you’re okay. he will use words of encouragement, “i’m sorry you’re sick dear, but i promise it will be over soon!” he says as he smiles at you. he’s such a sweetheart, bringing everything you need in an instant. his bright personality makes you forget that you’re even sick sometimes. he kisses you and hugs you as usual even though you warned him you don’t want the sickness to get to him. “i don’t mind if i get sick as long as i get to kiss you!” he also insists he does everything for you. it’s like you don’t move an inch, not even if you need to eat something, he prefers if you let him feed it to you. he wants you to rest the best you can and get better as quick as possible! he loves you a lot and will always find a way to put a smile on your face.

Reacting to S/O With a Sentient Stand

Fandom: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure

Character(s): Josuke Higashikata, Koichi Hirose, Okuyasu Nijimura, Kishibe Rohan

Type of Request: Headcanons

Note(s): So this was a request I had in drafts but accidentally posted before it was finished. Basically it was Josuke, Rohan, Okuyasu, and Koichi reacting to S/O (platonic for Koichi) with a sentient stand (like the stand had its own personality and bickered with S/O)

Josuke

I feel like how he reacts really depends when it comes to your stand. Sometimes he finds it amusing how you two bicker like siblings. Other times, he wants your stand to piss off so he can make out with his partner.

Probably makes it clear that he's dating you and not your stand. Doesn't care about your stand's sentience except when it comes to your safety and the relationship you and him have. So yeah, there's boundaries that will be set when it comes to your stand.

I mean, it's bad enough that his mom yells at him to keep the bedroom door open or interrupts when he's ready to kiss you. Having your stand making comments will make him lose it. (he loves you, but he cannot control himself if your stand mentions his hair)

Koichi

He's curious about your stand because it's similar to his in how it talks. Of course, he thinks he gets along better with Echos (even though the stand could be better at explaining things).

Has tried to have conversations with your stand before, only to be taken aback by how different it is to you. Not that that's a bad thing! It's just intriguing to him.

Is a bit worried for you and your stand. Sometimes the bickering sounds like it's going to escalate and he doesn't want you to be harmed by your own stand. Let him get Josuke real quick before you start actually fighting please.

Okuyasu

Immediately tries to get his own stand to talk. He's only seen Koichi's stand talk and it mostly cusses. Okuyasu finds it wild that you can have full conversations with your stand and he tries to get The Hand to do the same.

Probably pouts that he can't talk to his stand, but you're quick to reassure him because your stand has terrible opinions. To which your stand pipes you and it starts an argument that Okuyasu has no problem stepping in and giving his opinion.

Like Josuke, Okuyasu will find it a bit annoying when he wants to give you some loving and your stand pipes up to be annoying. He has forgotten all about kissing you because he started a conversation with your stand instead.

Rohan

It inspires Rohan to outline a new character in his manga or maybe even have some spinoff series for a side character in his manga.

Might ask a question just to get you to bicker with your stand. He wants to see exactly how sentient your stand is.

Rohan has probably asked to use his stand on you to see if he's able to also change how your stand acts. It wouldn't be a permanent change, but he really wants to see what is possible with your stand.

When he first met your stand, he couldn’t really hide his emotions very well.

He loves drawing you however every one word in a while he might draw your stand too, sometimes when he thinks fondly of it, or to get character inspo since it’s so unique looking.

other times he’ll just leave a drawing around the house of it and notices how your stand jumps for joy.

Overall he does quite like your stand, but he likes you more.

Jotaro Kujo

He grimaces. Hard.

But he tries to keep a straight face and a neutral reaction as best he can, he’s seen weird stands before but yours is something he never would have even thought of.

Star platinum on the other hand mirrors his true expression.

He’s gonna act like your stand doesn’t exist for a good while as a result until your stand starts doing nice little things for him like readjusting his hat.

He’ll still act unbothered however he might give a nod of appreciation.

So the next time your stand was there he pat it’s back in an effort to show his appreciation.

Honestly though your stand just looks to star platinum to see his feelings and is quite pleasantly surprised to see they’re mostly positive.

Oh! And your stand most definitely plays catch with star when there’s time.

And probably also plays with it’s hair.

Side note from the current Yandere JJBAx reader I’m working on but still JJBA related. I’m currently watching part 4 and I just love everyone.

So here are my opinions on them and some relationship headcannons

Not all characters have relationship stuff-

Jotaro

I love how Jotaro is still himself but just… feels slightly baby girled. I also love how the first thing we properly see of him in part 4 is him 1- pitying a turtle 2-sucker punching Josuke moments later. With that being said, he’d totally be smitten for you. I may joke on how others are simps, this is my number one simp choice.

You probably didn’t obsess over him like the girls when he was younger but actually talk to him like a person, not just a set of hot muscles. He does like it when you talk about his hot muscles though ok… play your cards right and he might let you touch, but don’t tease him or he’ll back away. But, once you’re official, I feel like he’d quite like witty banter and teasing from his partner, as long as it’s clear you’re joking. No joke, probably fell for you after you mentioned a random fish/ocean creature fact.

“Huh? Oh you’re reading about starfish? I like starfish, even though they’re not actually a fish.”

“Marry me-“ “huh, what did you-“ “good grief, I said nothing…” 10/10 on my way to marry him as we speak.

Josuke

Josuke, I wasn’t sure if I’d like him at first but he is my baby no.2. He’s such a sweetheart, so dependable. Just his reaction any time his friends are in danger is just perfect. Plus I love his mom. The way he’d defend your honour like he defends his hair. Anyone say anything out of pocket about you and they’re dealing with your very powerful boy. Totally brags to you about how he’s Jotaro’s uncle and that Jotaro asks for his help on missions soooo often. But then later asks Jotaro for date ideas and advice because he’s older. My man is a romantic at heart you can’t lie to me. 10/10 would make dinner for him and baby him.

Koichi

Although Koichi isn’t my type personally, he’s such a cutie patootie. He’s so sweet and genuine that I imagine he’d just be a darling to eat lunch with and talk about your favourite shows or manga. 10/10, would walk with you too and from school.

Okuyasu

Okuyasu… he is my baby. He’s stupid, strong and has a heart of gold despite looking like a delinquent… you guys can’t lie to me that is definition of a Himbo. You can’t tell me he wouldn’t drag you out on every little adventure he could with him and the others. He’d have you wearing his jacket when it’s cold and if you already have one he’d insist his is warmer and then wear yours so you can have his. Dinner dates at Tonio’s. Yeah 10/10 he might be a menace sometimes but he’d fight for you. Use your scary dog privilege wisely.

Speaking of Tonio… only slutty men know how to cook. (/J) 10/10 I love him, underrated husband.

Rohan is a self centred jerk… I’m going to aggressively make out with him and you can’t stop me. 10/10 (sorry I’ve only seen like 2 episodes with him so I don’t have much commentary)

I’ve only just gotten to the episode where we see him pulling up to his house after nearly hitting Koichi so I can’t really report on Kira yet… but a man who carries an arm around… yeah smash- 10/10 psychotic asshole.

At last, the weekend! You have survived another horrible week and once more been set free from the confines of societal expectations. You've been feeling a bit too stressed out lately, what with the serial killer and all... But what better way to relax than with some quality time with your beloved?

Higashikata Josuke

Great! He has to do some chores first or his mom will kill him, but he's been craving some TLC time with you.

He's kind of a homebody, so expect a day spent playing video games (cute couch co-op is exactly the kind of aesthetic he lives for), watching TV, and having snacks.

Loves physical contact. Will wrap his arms around you, soft kisses on your skin. Wishes you could stay the night and cuddle.

Super shy at school the next week. His friends will tease him about it.

Nijimura Okuyasu

"Oh, let me see if Josuke is free!" "No, no, no, babe. Let's take time for you and I."

No. He's busy. Wait, you're serious? Oh shit, he feels kinda bad now.

You convince him to go on a cute picnic date in the park under the guise of people-watching for more inspiration.

Rohan's mind is more captivated by experiences than images. He finds himself noticing how the other couples act and decides to do some research. Holding your hand makes his heart flutter like a dove's wings. Kissing you is mental anethestic and fireworks all at once.

The manuscript he sends to his editor that week is notably more optimistic than usual. Pink Dark Boy won't be singing from the rooftops, but at least Rohan understands what's inspired the stupid cliché now. And he wants more and more exposure to this feeling.

Kujo Jotaro

He's tired and stressed out. Please take him away from this town, he actually really needs it. You both do, really. Responds to your request with an indifferent grunt. He's in.

Usually, he'd take you to the beach, but he's hit a snag with his thesis and if he sees those starfish right now he might just pull his hair out. And we wouldn't want anything to happen to his handsome locks.

Surprisingly spontaneous when he wants to be. "Let's go to Tokyo, I want you to meet someone."

The drive is peaceful and quiet. He's a great listener, but still not the best communicator. For example: he won't tell you until you get there that your lunch date will involve meeting his mom for the first time.

Bonus:

Tonio Trussardi

This sweet man takes a day off from his restaurant and invites you to his home. Greets you with flowers and wine.

Very excited to show you his garden. Look at his tomatoes!! Humble but oh so proud of the fruits of his labour.

Thinks the most romantic thing you two can do together is cook. But it's his day off? He doesn't mind! He loves his craft! Wants to hold your hands and teach you how to properly julienne a pepper.

Lives for that reaction when you take that first bite. Might use Pearl Jam to make it that much better for you. Domesticity makes him want a life with you.

Josuke remembers seeing hanbok in some cultural festival before. He thinks it's pretty cool. And don't worry, he'll gladly walk around with you if you want to wear it and he'll happily beat up anyone that gives you looks because the outfit is a bit different (which he'll easily tell you that it looks really good on you and is a good different).

Jotaro has seen a hanbok before, he's probably visited Korea a couple times due to Speedwagon Foundation work or travel and he's seen hanbok's being worn. Would tell you that it looks good on you, but wouldn't do much besides that (besides asking about the occasion for it, but that's it).

Koichi sees the hanbok and begins to panic, thinking that he missed some important date or an anniversary. You're dressed so nicely, now he needs to check every calendar just to make sure. He does make sure to compliment you and the hanbok a lot while he figures out what he forgot.

Okuyasu sees the outfit on you and he's intrigued. It looks different from a yukata/kimono, which is what he's used to seeing. He'll probably ask you if he could wear one. Maybe not one of yours since he'd accidentally rip it, but he thinks he'd look good in one.

Rohan looks at your hanbok and immediately begins taking in all the details. Clothing can really set the tone and mood in a manga and he wonders if perhaps he can use your own hanbok as inspiration. So prepare for many, many questions about the outfit.

When you met Okuyasu, it was a funny moment. You were taking your dog on a walk and nearly dropped his leash when you saw an open garage. He was in a sweat covered tank top, doing bench-presses. The way his biceps would flex every time he pushed up the bar, you couldn't help but stare. He nearly dropped the weight on his chest when he saw you staring and you jumped.

"S-Sorry," you told him, starting off with your dog.

Okuyasu stopped you, jumping up. "No! It's fine. Uh..." He didn't know what to say now that the two of you were standing nearly feet away from each other.

"No," you finally spoke up, your face heating up. "I was staring, I'm really sorry."

"You don't have to apologize," Okuyasu rubbed the back of his neck, his voice soft. "I'm Okuyasu."

He stuck out his hand and you took a step forward, shaking it. "I'm y/n."

"Cool... y/n.... Uh... Are you usually walkin your dog around here?"

You nodded.

"Sick. Well, see you around!" Okuyasu waved at you and ran back into his garage.

You honestly thought that would be the end of the two of you interacting, but you always found yourself back at the garage whether just to visit Okuyasu or just walking by with your dog. You would never fail to stay for a drink at least.

Then meeting Okuyasu led to you meeting his friends too. You became very close to Josuke and Koichi. They were a funny crew.

But the more the three of you hung out the more you realized that you were actually developing feelings for Okuyasu. You wanted him to know, but at the same time, you didn't want to ruin anything if he didn't feel the same way. You were too scared to say the least.

But Josuke quickly caught on.

"Hey, y/n?" He finally was able to pull you aside while Koichi and Okuyasu were ordering some food for all of you.

"What's up?" You asked, your eyes never leaving Okuyasu.

"Are you gonna tell Oku?"

"Tell him what?!" Your eyes finally got off of Okuyasu and met Josuke's.

"That you like him?"

You froze. You knew it was obvious. "I can't." You sighed, putting your hands in your lap.

"Why not? He's totally into you!"

"What if he isn't?!"

Josuke gave you an unamused look. "Really, y/n? Oku talks about you ALL THE TIME!"

"But-"

"I'm not gonna rush you, but honestly, you look like you need to get it off your chest."

You thought about what Josuke said all day. He was probably right, even though you were terrified. The rest of the day went really well though. You all got food and hung out at an amusement park. It was really late when you all decided it was time to get heading home.

"I'll walk you," Okuyasu said as Josuke and Koichi went seperate ways. "It's on the way and pretty damn late."

He locked his arm with yours and you had fun giggling about the day and getting excited for whatever everyone would do together next.

"What about..." your heart was pounding and your cheeks were dusted pink. "What about next time we hang out, it's just the two of us. Without Koichi or Josuke."

"What do you mean?" Okuyasu tilted his head, his blue eyes locking onto yours.

"Like..." you were definitely shaking, but you pushed through. "A date... or something,"

"Me and you... a date?!" His eyes lit up.

"Yeah. We could uh... go bowling or something?"

"A date?!" He threw his arms around you in a big hug, your feet lifting up off the ground.

"Only if you want." You giggled as he put you down.

"Of course I want to go on a date with you!! You're like the prettiest and coolest person I know!!" He gave you a big kiss on the cheek.

The bright red face you got from the question was totally worth it.
