The funniest thing about All For The Game was figuring out who the love interest was because I swear to everything holy to me that I did mental gymnastics on the olympics level.

Because at first I thought it was Kevin. My first argument was "Oh yeah, people dig the tall, dark and traumatized Male Lead shit nowadays". And Kevin and Neil knew each other as kids? AND got traumatized TOGETHER? I was convinced it was going to be some dramatic ass reveal and some bonding afterwards or something because this was love interest material right here ( which I now know to be because Neil, Andrew and Kevin were intially supposed to end up in a poly relationship ).

Then Neil revealed that he did not swing and I was like "Cool, my dude is on the aromantic or asexual spectrum or even both, I respect that because who even needs a relationship anyway, he'll just stay hot, rich and single".

On the other hand I suspected Andrew and Kevin to have a thing for each other because they had the certain energy around them which even Neil noticed.

But??? I'm an overthinker. I overthink a lot and I analyze shit and I'm good at it and there was NO WAY there was nothing going between Andrew and Neil because I noticed the fucking build up from the get go. Their scenes together increased? Truth for a truth? Their moments on the roof? Neil asking and Andrew doing everything he asks? Neil putting Andrews hands under his shirt and Andrew letting Neil touch him? Neil going to the Ravens for Andrew? My alarms were blaring and my brain was working overtime and I figured out pretty soon that the both of them were endgame. At this point it wasn't even a question of 'if' but 'when'.

Yeah, suffice to say that Andrew, the man, the myth, the legend, still managed to come in like a wrecking ball and utterly annihilate all of my expectations with the iconic "That doesn't mean I wouldn't blow you" line. I remember I was on the phone with my sister and I fucking screeched because I expected it to happen just not at that moment.

... It was definitely an experience.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar hall of fame basketball icon and civil rights activist was born Ferdinand Lewis Alcindor, Jr. in New York City on this date April 16, 1947.

Jabbar was a star player for UCLA and became the NBA’s lifetime leading scorer. He also led the Los Angeles Lakers to five NBA titles.

An activist throughout his playing career, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar tackled many issues, from promoting cultural heritage as a high school star from Harlem to refusing to participate in the 1968 Summer Olympics because he didn’t “feel very patriotic” after the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr.

Abdul-Jabbar pursued interests in acting and writing. He appeared appeared in several films, including the 1979 martial-arts film Game of Death and the 1980 comedy Airplane! He wrote books and produced documentaries surrounding the game, social justice and his life.

LOGUETOWN (19).— Dracule Mihawk (43) appeared last night at the Loguetown Exhibition Gala with a Pirates’ jersey, a month after Akagami No Shanks’ (39) coming out sparked rumors of romance.

It appeared to be Akagami’s first jersey with the Pirates, from when the ice hockey legend was first drafted. Dracule proceeded to skate to the tune of Eye Of The Tiger, ending his routine with an axel that made the audience fear an accident, and that brought to mind Akagami’s career ending injury. 

Dracule has declined to make any comments, opting for skipping altogether the media after the exhibition gala. On his part, Akagami was seen at the VIP section alongside other past and present Pirates’ players, although it’s unclear whether or not he was present for Dracule’s routine. 

Monkey D. Luffy (19), Akagami’s protégé, posted a selfie sitting next to his mentor with the caption: ‘Power isn’t determined by your size, but by the size of your heart and dreams’. Fans believe that it references Akagami and Dracule’s relationship. The Pirates’ winger, Roronoa Zoro (21), has fueled the speculation ‘liking’ a Tiktok that breaks down the theory. 

The Pirates’ new captain came out shortly before Akagami did, telling Marineford reporter Rocky Port Koby (23) that he’s “pretty proud of who he is, which is not straight in any shape, way or form”. Akagami openly supported him, citing him as an inspiration when he came out through a message in ‘X’. 

Although the rumors about Akagami and Dracule’s relationship are not new —they have been linked on and off since the Olympic Games of 09, the first one in which they both competed— Akagami’s recent coming out has done nothing but fueling further the rumors of romance. 

Akagami and Dracule have been sighted together various times throughout the city during the past month, from the exclusive Baratie to the Thousand Sunny ice ring’s parking lot, and to Roronoa’s birthday party last week, a star studded event which gathered the biggest names in the ice hockey community.

Skiing - a beginner’s guide

I first went skiing in Switzerland with my friends nearly 10 years ago and I loved it. The feeling of the wind on my face, the speed, the adrenaline- it was exhilarating.

I’ve compiled a basic list of ski events, a semi-scandalous article and some of the best destinations in the world as well as some budget friendly ones.

Socialite ski events:

Snowboxx:

Since it launched in 2013, winter festival Snowboxx has been growing in popularity - and it involves flying out to the Alps for a week-long ski party.  It takes place in Avoriaz ski resort, Morzine, France each March, and this year saw a superstar lineup of artists performing in the mountains, including ex-Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac, Becky Hill, Jax Jones, Sonny Fodera and Andy C. 

The combination of partying to some of the world's best DJs, with the unusual day-activites of skiing and snowboarding, are making many turn away from the summer festival circuit in favour of the winter one. 

Hahnenkamm, Kitzbühel , Austria:

The Hahenekamm ski race weekend in Kitzbühel is arguably the biggest alpine ski event in the world. The world’s best take on the iconic Streif downhill track, which is historically the toughest ski race track on the World Cup circuit. A lot of the speed skiers consider winning races here as a bigger honour than the Olympics. As a spectator, the atmosphere is electric with fans around the world admiring some breathtaking ski racing.

X Games, Aspen, USA:

The world’s best freestyle skiers and snowboarders compete annually in Aspen. The event is a prestigious honour to win amongst action sports athletes and has propelled careers. Spectating the event is excellent because you can see most of the action from the viewing areas. The halfpipe events in particular are excellent to watch for this reason.

European Snow Pride, Tignes, France:

Tignes is home to Europe’s biggest gay ski week, with the European Snow Pride. Each day has a theme with nights of brit-pop to superhero days. Many international DJs are invited to play each evening party in the resort’s local clubs and bars.

1. Vogel, Slovenia

An ideal spot for couples or families, this Slovenian spot is a truly beautiful and peaceful ski area. Overlooking Lake Bohinj, Vogel is part of the Triglav national park.

2. Livigno, Italy

Duty-free zone Livigno offers excellent slopes for intermediate skiers. But advanced skiers and snowboarders will be kept busy too – especially if they’re keen to explore off piste.

3. Poiana-Brasov, Romania

Poiana Brasov is Romania’s biggest mountain resort and certainly one of the nicest. The fairytale slopes, flanked by pine trees, are the perfect place to take your skis. With more than 24km of ski runs, there’s plenty to explore.

4. South Korea -Muju Deogyusan Resort

Muju Deogyusan Resort in Jeolla province is only 3 hours away from Seoul. So, if you want to spend your holiday skiing and still enjoy the city of Seoul, this is the place to go.

Located in Hokkaido, Japan, Niseko Ski Resort boasts a total of four different resorts but with linked ski area. A single pass would give you access to all four resorts. One of the resorts, Mt. Resort Grand Hirafu has been officially named as Japan’s number one snow resort due to the wide array of activities offered.

6. India - Gulmarg

Gulmarg is a rare gem in the Himalayans that will undoubtedly take your breath away with its picturesque beauty. However, skiing in Gulmarg, Kashmir is not for the weak-hearted as the terrains are not suitable for beginners - to add to that, the ski lifts carry you to the highest point in the Himalaya at 13, 780 feet!

7. China - Nanshan Ski Resort

80km away from Beijing, Nanshan Ski Resort is perfect for skiing and snowboarding as the snow are neither too hard nor too soft.

Skating icon Tessa Virtue lives in Toronto with her fiancé Toronto Maple Leafs star Morgan Rielly and she says they have a lot of fun exploring the city's booming food scene for their date nights.

Virtue spoke to Narcity following a special ceremony during which she was inducted into the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame with her former skating partner over of 20 years, Scott Moir.

During the call, the Olympic athlete also talked about one of her favourite aspects of living in Toronto.

"I think the fun thing about living in a place like Toronto is that it's a real melting pot of different cultures and cuisine and it's just neat to kind of try new things," she said.

"I'm not a cook so it's nice to be downtown in the mix and exploring the restaurants."

As for where the couple likes to go, Virtue shared their four go-to restaurants in the city.

You’re groaning the moment you wake up, and you wish you could say it’s because of the sunlight roasting your groggy eyes. Unfortunately, Suna would never give you the benefit of a peaceful morning. Despite an eight hour time difference and even more miles apart, you start your day the same way as any – with your wonderfully annoying boyfriend in your ear.

“How can you not answer when I just won the most important game of my life?”

Exaggeration. He’s been in the Olympics.

This one is about an hour later, your 11pm and his 3pm. You shouldn’t have been sleeping, he’s right, but it’s the tail end of Suna’s absence. The three weeks have been long and despite his keeping you very much in the loop, the void of his presence has taken a toll on you. You must have passed out while mindlessly watching a show last night.

“You’re such a poopy – little shit! – Hey man, what’s up?”

Another voice interrupts him, one you can’t recognize with an accent that you’re not used to. It must be someone he’s met in the UK. “Yeah, I’ll be inside in a bit. After this phone call.” Quick salutations are made, a slap here and there, and Suna’s back on the line. “Whoo! That was close! Can’t have the other team thinking I’m a fucking simp!”

You and Suna laugh both at the same time. Fuck, you miss him and his stupid humor and his stupid laugh and his stupid face.

“Anyways,” he happily transitions as if there is a live audience listening to him, “everyone already went inside, but we’re at this famous spot about to eat fish and chips. Chips as in French fries. That’s what they call that here in London apparently. Can you believe I’ve been here for over three weeks and I haven’t had the iconic meal yet? I’ll send you a pic of it later.”

He’s true to his word and just like always, the lighting and angle is impeccable. Sun cascades onto the golden brown filet accompanied by wide slats of fried potato. A napkin artistically crumpled to the side, it’s so photogenic you wouldn’t be surprised if the image would be the first thing to pop up when you google the dish.

“While we were on the way here, I saw this guy on a bike and it reminded me of you. Don’t ask me why because you’ll probably hit me.” You won’t ask because yes, you’ll more than likely hit him. “Oh! And remind me to tell you about this weird dream that I had last night. But okay, gotta go. I don’t want to make the boys wait on me too long. Love you.”

The timestamp for the next one is 5am. It seems that Suna has resigned to the reality that you are deep in slumber because this time, the call is from Komori.

“Hehe,” a voice chuckles into the line, “looks like you passed the test.”

Your reaction is so dramatic even you can feel the downward tug of your lips. It is not Komori. It is once again your gremlin of a boyfriend.

“I would have been so pissed if you answered Komori’s phone call but not mine.” He heaves a deep breath, preparing himself, “okay fine. low key – low fucking key – I’m a little disappointed you haven’t answered at all but I guess that’s my fault for dating Sleeping fucking Beauty.”

He sounds wistful here and as much as you hate to admit it, your heart stings a little bit.

“Okay. Well I hope you’re sleeping well, Poopy. Hate you but I love you. Bye.”

This last one you just barely missed, not even a full hour ago. You tap on the play button and put it on speakerphone. Having had enough of just laying in bed, you head to your bathroom and begin your morning routine.

“Hey, it’s me again. Suna Rintaro, your boyfriend. Or did you forget already?” He’s whispering now, the husk in his voice makes it obvious he’s had a long day. “What a fucking day. Komori’s already passed out.”

The sound of running water isn’t coming from your sink, but from the one in London. “My mouth feels gross. Hang on, gotta brush my teeth real quick.”

You hear the low hum of his toothbrush and decide to brush your teeth with him. It’s silent as you place a small globule of the paste onto your own and though you know that you’re doing this forty minutes too late, you’re comforted. The companionship is healing, a balm to the ache that has developed. Your toothbrushes are the ones that are timed. They’re the same exact brand, actually. He got them for you during Christmas early in your relationship because ‘it came in a two pack and I didn’t know who else to give it to so here.’ It was a very Rintaro way of making it official but it touched your heart nevertheless.

You both rinse out at the same time and when you’re done, you listen to Suna jostle his way into bed. He talks of the dream he had last night. The details get caught between his pillow and tired lips, and as wild as it is, you struggle to make sense of it. All you know is that there is an octopus involved and apparently Atsumu was a pirate. The message ends abruptly without his usual farewell, and you know you shouldn’t, you know it’s selfish, but your finger ends up dialing his number anyways.

The line barely has a chance to ring when he picks up.

“H’llo?”

“Hey, Baby.” You hear the rasp in your own voice and immediately, you cringe, knowing exactly what comes next.

“Babe, what the fuck? Are you calling me right when you woke up?” He’s cheeky but does little to hide the delight in his tone, “did you miss me or something?”
