What's cuter than sixty-something Gene...ice skating in a tuxedo with Olympic superstar Dorothy Hamill...while adorably serenading her? 🥰 I'm not sure...but I'll keep looking. 😉 These two did a silly, little "bit" about Gene's lack of ice skating prowess...but, as you can see, that was far from the truth. He was quite an accomplished ice skater. Apparently, when he was a boy, Gene's Canadian-born father would flood the backyard, to make a hockey rink...and by age fifteen, he was actually playing with a semi-pro ice hockey team. 🙌 Interestingly, he's stated that his dancing was directly influenced by some of those hockey moves. Fascinating! 💪 Also, and on a completely unrelated note...my goodness, our boy just kept getting more and more adorable as he aged, didn't he? So Cute. 🥺 Dorothy Hamill & Gene Kelly, on "The Dorothy Hamill Special" (1976). 💕
“I learned that the only way you are going to get anywhere in life is to work hard at it. Whether you’re a musician, a writer, an athlete or a businessman, there is no getting around it. If you do, you’ll win–if you don’t, you won’t.”

SwimSwam proudly presents a new series, called SwimMomMonday in which “ordinary” swim mom Anne Lepesant talks to “extraordinary” swim moms about the similarities and differences we experience in raising swimmers. This week Anne talks with Cecilia Adrian, mother of Olympic gold medalist, Nathan Adrian.
WHAT IS YOUR BACKGROUND? WERE YOU (ARE YOU) A COMPETITIVE ATHLETE?
I was born and raised in Hong Kong. I am the second youngest of 7 children. I grew up around water and learned how to swim when I was little but was never a competitive swimmer.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MEMORY OF YOUR CHILD’S SWIMMING CAREER?
No doubt it was the moment he won the 100 free in the London Olympics.
Another exciting moment was when the Cal Team won the NCAA in 2011, when they broke the 31 years drought.
Another indelible memory was when Nathan was still in high school, we woke up at 4AM on a Saturday morning as he thought he had practice at 5AM. We made the 40 miles trip to Tacoma. When we got to the pool, it was still pitch dark and his coach was working with another swimmer and Nathan’s practice would not start until 6. The two of us slept in our car in the parking lot. Man! We could have slept in our own bed for an extra hour, on a Saturday?
i've watched a lot of good films lately in an attempt to catch up with a bunch of movies that have come out recently, but talk to me was the best movie i've seen in a LONG time
if ziyech has a million fans i am one of them. if hakim ziyech has ten fans i am one of them. if hakim ziyech has only one fan and that is me. if hakim ziyech has no fans, that means i am no longer on this earth. if the world is against hakim ziyech, i am against the world.
