I DO NOT bring this up to the people involved, nor their families nor their friends nor their partners. And I hate when people do that. I know these are real people and not fictional characters so I don't harass them about this, nor do it bring it up to them in social media or their concerts or in any possible way.

I just enjoy my anonymous tinhatting with strangers online, and then I get off the internet, and go to work, and see my friends, and I move on with my life. I simply like the idea of these ships. I like to imagine, from whatever little information I have received about these people (based on what THEY themselves have made available for me and others to look at and overanalyize) I like to imagine that this people had been at one point or another romantically involved. But I honestly couldn't care less if they weren't. I'm just having fun reading fics online.

Omg, I have to tell yall, I got so mad.

A few days ago I thought Imma indulge my old blackcest guilty pleasure and read some fanfic.

I use the 'otp: true' filter on ao3 cause I don't feel like wolfstar. And I blacklist Remus entirely CAUSE I DON'T FEEL LIKE WOLFSTAR.

And what happens... in the first fic I read wolfstar is the side pair. The ship wasn't tagged. Remus as a character wasn't tagged. 🤬🤬

Like, how the fuck am I supposed to ship and let ship if yall do shit like this.

Headcanons About Wolfstar That Just Make Sense

They started dating 4th year

They had both been pining after one another since 2nd and finally James and Lily snapped

James was cluless until Marlene and Lily told him that Sirius liked Remus

Enter James ‘The Ally’ Potter

But this isnt about James

Remus had always assumed that no one would date him

so he mostly kept to himself in that sense

after all, he was still shocked that the marauders hadn’t run for the hills yet

But Sirius was the opposite

he was a classic ladies man and all the girls fawned over him endlessly

however, he only had eyes for one particular wearwolf nerdy gryffindor

Growing up in a pureblood, traditional household left sirius a very confused kid

he figured that it was friendship

but then he realized that it felt different than when he was with james

Remus however, always knew that he found guys attractive

Lily and him kissed in 3rd year when she was trying to prove that she didn’t like James, and he was trying to prove he was very into girls...

ANYWAYS

Lily and James had an elaborate plan to ‘parent trap’ them to get together

that failed

miserably

so they locked the lucky lovers in a broom closet

needless to say they were successful

With their relationship, came so much freaking fluff

its almost sickening how in love they are

‘My Moony’ and ‘my star’

but then

‘wet dog <3′ and ‘sexy beast’

James and Peter couldn’t decide which was worse

Ice skating dates

Remus is ridiculously clumsy and has to hold onto Sirius the whole time

Neither of them is complaining tho

Alone time was... rare

James kind of hated third wheeling but never complained

i definitely think that they had to include james in their cuddles and dates

Remus paid Lily to take James off their hands

She was going to ask him out anyway but she still took the money

Canon ships:

Hinny: Didn’t used to love them but tumblr has given me a new found appreciation. They’re cute :)) {9/10}

Romione: My OTP. They are the best!!! {10/10}

Marthur: They’re lovely and I wish they were my parents lol! {8/10}

Remadora: I used to think the age difference was weird but the way Tonks acts in HBP makes my heart melt! {7/10}

Bleur: honestly the cutest love story {8/10}

Neville/Hannah: I don’t know much about them but I’m just glad Neville didn’t end up with Luna. That would have been too easy! Also maybe they can “bond” over their loss of parents :( {7/10}

Luna/Rolf: If Rolf is anything like newt then I think they’ll be quite good together! {6/10}

George/Angelina: one of the best decisions jk made tbh. Angelina is that bitch. {9/10}

Drastoria: I don’t know much about Astoria but I think that if there would ever be a women to rehabilitate Draco *rolls eyes* it would be her. An pure blood, but an open minded one. {5/10}

Jily: I think their love story is quite cute! It’s adversaries to lovers which is underrated but 100 times better than enemies to lovers. Reminds me of Ron and Hermione in some ways. {8/10}

As far as canon ships go? Romione, honestly. I don't hate it I just don't see the appeal, personally. I don't think they're actually the best fit for each other, romantically speaking, but I won't like... refuse to read a fic over that or something. I just keep putting them both in other pairings when I write HP fics LOL

2 - Are there any popular fandom OTPs you only BroTP?

Marauder x marauder ships. I'm at a point now where I'll read wolfstar if the premise of the fic outside the ship is REALLY appealing to me but I genuinely have always hated Marauder x Marauder ships of any combo, since the very beginning. I just really value relationships with a deep level of love that isn't romantic, and I think adding romance between any of them cheapens it, IMO. The number of times I've been called homophobic for this opinion is absolutely staggering considering that I aM GAY askdfjgnkfl

3 - Have you ever unfollowed someone over a fandom opinion?

Honestly probably, I've been on here since I was like 13 and I used to be way more impulsive LMFAO, but I can't remember anything specific for HP tbfh. Marvel is usually what makes me go “nope I can’t do this” and unfollow someone asjkdfgn

4 - Do you have a NoTP in your fandom? Are they a popular OTP?

P much covered this already I think buuut since we're all OC people here I WILL get messy and say that I dry heave every time I run across an OC fic on the archive that's, like, a currently enrolled Hogwarts student....... and their professor??? 14 - Unpopular opinion about your fandom?

It's not as cringey as ppl make it out to be now??? Like, not in the JKR sense — there's some deeply rooted ethical issues in the way some of her political thinking seeped into the fine print of the world she made, but like the story itself... idk I just see a lot of "ugh just grow up" attitudes about it now and it's silly to me. For all its flaws, HP explored a lot of deep themes and introduced that to a lot of kids. I was one of those kids from a very broken home who got to see themselves in Harry and grow up with him and, WOW THIS GOT TOO DEEP ANYWAY what I'm saying is it's not just a silly kid's story and it's not as simple as "find another book to read" like so many people say now. The world is so vast and Hogwarts really did become HOME at such a young age for a lot of people, and walking away from the emotional investment in that is a lot less simple than ppl want to act.

15 - Unpopular opinion about the manga/show movies?

The movies got a few (minor) things better than the books. Idk why the wardrobe always comes to mind first but sometimes I'm writing fic and I realize that the "students wearing muggle clothing outside of class/formal events" originated with the movies and not the books and I just cannot lmfao I refuse to accept the robes 24/7 give these children some COMFORT and INDIVIDUALITY can u tell i was not sent to a school with a uniform?? i think u can tell

16 - If you could change anything in the show, what would you change?

The names of Harry's children. If I could change ONE THING and ONE THING ONLY, that would be it. Do not even get me started holy shit

17 - Instead of XYZ happening, I would have made ABC happen…

Percy dies instead of Fred, and the "urban myth" (I guess???) that Hermione was originally supposed to be endgame with Fred happens. But Zel how does that make more sense than Romione to you, she also argued with Fred a lot— LISTEN they have more in common in terms of how they approach their goals and challenges in life, they have a certain shared ambitious quality (though reaching for dif end goals, obviously) that Ron doesn’t share (and that’s not an insult to him!!! I just think what he wants in life and how he wants to get there is v different!! don’t come at me ajsdfl), and the back and forth was FUNNY, the GoF movie scene banter with Hermione right before they put their names in for the tournament has lived RENT FREE in my head since I was in middle school okay it's too late I am too far gone—

Like I said I don't interact much with fandom outside the writing sphere so with THAT in mind... I feel like HP fic (and Game of Thrones, tbfh) draws a lot of wildly pretentious feedback??? More than other fandoms I've written for??? I get the strangest reviews sometimes, people write like they're one of my college professors grading my work and have a bunch of back-handed compliments and it's SO ODD. I almost prefer the straight up hate reviews I get in other fandoms lol.

20 — What is the purest ship in the fandom?

Luna and Neville. Forever canon in my heart they are simply TOO PRECIOUS together.

21 — What are your thoughts on crack ships?

Uh. I have none, essentially? Not my cup of tea to pursue a lot but the memes make me laugh. Drapple is unmatched

The only people I know who haven't read HP are old church friends who weren't allowed as kids bc it has magic in it and was therefore “satanic”. (See also: Chronicles of Narnia. Despite Aslan literally being furry jesus.) It's been over a decade since then so I hope they've read it since then, among hopefully some other lifestyle changes... 💀

25 — How would you end XXX/Would you change the ending of XXX?

In my ideal HP ending, Harry winds up working as a professor after helping round up all the MIA Death Eaters and playing a season or two of pro quidditch whilst getting some intense therapy. Fuck that ministry noise. Harry James Potter is composed 99% of Problems With Authority, you cannot tell me that boy turned into a magical cop. Who’s gonna stop the guy who saved the world from chasing baddies independently????? NO ONE

third, his FAVORITE COUSIN AND WHO MY BLOG IS NAMED AFTER, ADROMEDA FUCKING BLACK TONKS. they probably sat together at family gatherings and shat on their prejudiced family members. they were the cool cousins who called out their racist cousins at the table. they shared a braincell. they were besties and i love it.

So for the marauders era my OTP is definitely any situation regarding Lily and Snape. But honestly I don’t have many beyond that bc to me so many characters seem bi or queer, so I don’t have any issues with like Remus or Sirius with other pairings of any gender (although I strongly believe that wolfstar is always ultimately canon). I do think that James, unfortunately, is 100% a heterosexual simp for Lily only

For the Golden trio era I absolutely despise Dramione and Drarry, but love Drastoria! Sorry y’all, that’s my honest opinion, but I love and support any fic writers who like those ships!!

Sirius glanced at the watch on his wrist, seconds turning into minutes turning into hours.

It was 4:52. On any other day, this time would mean absolutely nothing to Sirius but today was Thursday, the day Remus ran his study group and it was supposed to end at 4:30. That was 22 minutes ago.

Sirius was getting antsy. He didn’t want to seem obsessed with Remus’ whereabouts but he and Remus were supposed to meet behind greenhouse 3 at 3:40 to smoke the last bit of Remus’ stash of pot before the summer. It was a shitty last hurrah to 6 year, their last year before things got serious but it was their thing. Sirius rested his head against the glass of the greenhouse and closed his eyes feeling tired. The full moon had only been a few days earlier and he was still tired. But that was nothing compared to what Remus must be feeling, he reminded himself. He didn’t hear the sound of footsteps approaching until he saw a shadow appear over him. He looked up.

“Remus! What took you so long?” Sirius said, eyes widening in relief. He was mostly just relieved to see that Remus hadn’t been kidnapped by Lily to do “extra study”, which was what they liked to call it, but in reality, all it involved them huddling at a table in the corner of the common room whispering, giggling and gossiping about whoever Remus was shagging currently and Sirius feeling jealous of whoever they were talking about.

“Sorry!” Remus panted slightly, “I got held up. Some first year wanted me to help them with potions which you know I’m absolutely pants at and then I had to finish my arithmancy homework and I had that bloody fifth year Lockhart talking in my ear about he didn’t really need to be there and he was only coming to help other students, when in fact he’s absolutely shit at all his classes and was only there to copy off the other ravenclaws but he can’t admit it because he’s an absolute arse,” he said talking with his hands and sinking down next to Sirius.

“Sounds shit. Did you bring it?” Sirius asked, tilting his head towards Remus.

“Oh yeah I did, just gimme a sec,” Remus said, fishing around his robe pockets and practically emptying out the entire contents as stray quills, chocolate, parchment, dung bombs and other miscellaneous items fell out.

“Got it!” He said, finally pulling out the small metal container and opening it, passing a joint to Sirius. Sirius watches Remus as he pulls out his wand to light it but Sirius stops him, grabbing his wrist, suddenly getting an idea.

“Watch this,” he says, and snaps his fingers together. A spark appears from his fingers and in a second, the joint is lit.

“Oi! Where did you learn that and why didn’t you teach me!” Remus says, eyes widening in a mixture of surprise and alarm.

“Got a 7th year bloke to teach me before he took me up to his room and we fucked,” Sirius says breathing in the smoke.

“Ok 1. Too much information mate and 2. You’re an absolute wanker. How long have you been holding that valuable piece of information in?” Remus says matter of factly, a small smile playing on the corners of his mouth.

“Long enough,” He says, exhaling deeply and looking at Remus again. He passes the joint to Remus, admiring the way Remus’ fingers grasp it, the way his chest rises and falls as he draws a breath in, the way he visibly relaxes with each puff.

They sit together in comfortable silence, sharing the joint until it’s finished, then taking another out of the box, lighting it and repeating the process. Sirius ignores the grumble of his stomach, preferring to focus on how pretty Remus looks. He draws a breath in, resting his head on Remus’ shoulder.

“I kissed you,” he says softly, before his brain kick starts. “I mean- I missed you!” He says quickly correcting himself praying that Remus didn’t notice his slip up. “Merlin, I wish I kissed you, fucking hell,” he mutters before realising what was coming out of his mouth.

“What?” Remus asks, looking at Sirius with wide eyes.

“I mean- Not kiss uh… miss yep um…,” Sirius stutters out, straightening and feeling hot all over.

“No, what did you say?” Remus asks, with a look that Sirius feels like he should be able to understand and suddenly wishing he wasn’t quite so high.

“Uh nothing I just said that iwishikissedyou” he says extremely quickly and quietly.

There’s a silence that lasts for way too long in Sirius’ opinion and he’s starting to regret saying anything in the first place. He turns it head towards the ground and death stares at it, praying that it’ll open up and swallow him whole.

“Kiss me,” Remus says softly and Sirius can feel his eyes on him.

“W-What?” Sirius says, making eye contact with him.

“I said,” Remus repeats himself looking into Sirius’ eyes, “Kiss me,”. His cheeks are definitely pink, Sirius knows that for sure. He can see them glowing slightly and he’s sure his own face is on fire.

“Please,” he says hoarsely and suddenly feeling like there's way too much space between them. Sirius leans forward, raising his hand to cup his cheek before leaning in and kissing him.

The kiss was slow and tentative and short, but a thousand words were communicated in those few seconds. They pulled apart gently, their foreheads resting together.

“I really really like you,” Sirius whispers, eyes still closed.

“Well I fancy you like mad so we’re even,” Remus whispers back. Sirius feels Remus’ hand slowly snake around the back of his neck and into his hair. He feels Remus’ fingers run through it and rests his forehead on Remus’ shoulder, enjoying the perfect alignment of time, circumstances and a stash of pot.
