my favorite “zepotha will never have the goncharov rizz” moment so far has been seeing the google doc that someone made. goncharov’s is like 50 pages of information that’s just copy pasted from people adding; it came late in the game just to make sure new people could engage in the meme.
zepotha’s doc was one of the first piece of content that came out and everyone tried to use it to write their own story. it got shut down within 2 hours because it was so messy, and the only consistent character is alaina (whose name was spelled differently at least six times). everyone wants to be right, no one wants to succumb to the bit.
one thing i don’t think antis are ready to confront is that outside of our type of fandom… people aren’t like them.
booktok is full of open and honest recommendations for monsterfucker books and “dark” romance - books that usually involve abusive or harmful partners, incest/psuedo incest, massive age gaps, and general dynamics that wouldn’t be desirable in real life. and because this is all on tiktok, where the algorithm reigns supreme, sometimes these recs end up outside of booktok. and you know what people do? they usually go “whoa, the books are porn?” or “that’s a little too much for me…” and chuckle a little at some of the very intense themes that booktok has come to love.
it’s easy, respectful, and common for people to see tropes and themes they don’t enjoy, and to NOT attack and harass people about it.
cuddling and decompressing with your boyfriend sejanus after a long, exhausting day.
you’re laying in your bed on your side as you mindlessly scroll through tiktok with sej spooning you from behind, watching your phone from behind your shoulder. he gently kisses the top of your back from time to time, giving your arm and body soothing rubs as you two lay with each other in the quiet of your dark bedroom.
you two occasionally laugh at funny videos. you come across a video of two cats cuddling and sej says, “look it’s us” and you chuckle and shake your head, playfully calling him a dork. you scroll through a few corny couple trends and say “we should do that” (spoiler alert: you guys never do).
this continues until you realize how limp sej’s body feels on top of you, feeling him twitch and jerk. he’s falling asleep, you think. and so you turn off your phone and turn your body to face your boyfriend who instinctively wraps his arms around you. you two then fall asleep in the comfort of each other’s bodies, only to repeat the same routine the next night.
Nepeta: :33< the pawbility to say "i dont have a tiktok" in social situations makes me f33l so powerful. like the general reaction is "shock, confursion, then this weird 'thats probably a good thing' response" its so fun
