"I'm fine."
Ona Batlle x Reader
You're overworking yourself more than you should be and Ona's worried about you. But you're fine !

You yawned as you checked what time it was, sipping from your coffee as you did so. The clock blinked back at you, reading 5:00 am. Papers were strewn across the kitchen table as you regained your focus on your laptop in front of you, trying to finish all the work you could before your girlfriend was up and you both had to get ready to go to work. It was your fourth day in a row of this routine, up for hours getting caught up on your school work before going to work with Ona.
You had recently been given a job working with the physios for Barcelona while you wrapped up your schooling. It was an incredible opportunity, something you couldn’t say no to, however it had piled on a significant amount of work. At the moment, your job was doing administrative duties for the physios, data tracking and record keeping to make sure it all ran smoothly. It was important for you to prove yourself so that once you finished school you could get offered a real physio job working with the players. But for now, you had your little office that you spent plenty of long hours in and that was all you needed, you just had to stay focused on your school work at the same time.
“Are you seriously up this early again?” You looked over your shoulder just to see Ona trudging towards you, still half asleep. Her hair was a tangled mess, voice rough with sleep as she made her way behind you, draping her arms over your shoulders lazily and pressing her face into your neck.
“Oni I have to get all this work done you know that,” You kissed her cheek lightly, “I didn’t wake you up, did I?” Your free hand came up to rest on top of hers as she still stayed, hugging you from behind while you went back to your work.
She shook her head in the crook of your neck, “how long have you been up? You need sleep, mi cielo.”
You let out a soft sigh, pausing your work momentarily, “I’m fine, I promise. I just need to stay caught up with everything. If you want, there’s some coffee on the counter but it might be cold now.”
The brunette pressed a kiss to your cheek before standing to get the coffee you made. “Don’t think I didn’t notice how you avoided my question. And the way this coffee is ice cold has me thinking I really won’t like the answer.” She gave you a pointed look, a small smirk adorning her face, while you just rolled your eyes. “Will you at least tell me how many cups of coffee you’ve had so far?”
“This is number three.” She wasn’t sure she heard you correctly due to how softly you spoke.
“Did you just say three?” you nodded. “It’s barely even 5:00 and you’ve had three cups of coffee. You’re obviously tired. Let’s go lie down, you’ve still got plenty of time before we have to leave. I’ll hold you, come on.” Your girlfriend stood up, immediately offering her hand, looking at you expectantly for you to join her in an extra hour of sleep. You cringed slightly, not getting up from your spot at the table but knowing she wasn’t going to like your answer.
“Ona you know I can’t do that. I can’t get behind on this school work. If you want to go back to sleep though, I’ll bring my computer and come sit with you?”
“That’s alright,” she shook her head and settled back into the chair next to you, slightly defeated that she couldn’t convince you, “I’ll stay out here with you, keep you company.”
“Thanks, love. Your company does make it slightly less miserable.”
“Well I’m certainly glad I don’t make it more miserable.” You giggled softly, sharing a soft kiss before she rested her head on your shoulder, watching you do your school work while she settled into your side.
You knew you were exhausted and that Ona was right, but at the moment it was just the price you had to pay. There was only about a month left until you finished school, then your workload would be cut in half. The problem at the moment was the combination of school plus your new job that was killing you. You had to keep up with both, horribly desperate to prove yourself in every possible way. So if it meant being a little short on sleep, you could handle it. By getting up early and staying up late, doing as much as possible when Ona was asleep, it left you more time to spend with Ona during the day. The more you did it, the more your girlfriend seemed to realize just how tired you were becoming, but you just had to push through it for another month and then it would be over.
About an hour later, you were surprised to see that your girlfriend was still awake against your shoulder. You assumed it was boring or uncomfortable for her to be sitting there that long with nothing to do besides watch you do homework and drink cold coffee, but Ona didn’t seem to mind.
She remained snuggled into your side until her alarm went off, signaling that you both needed to get ready to go. As soon as you abandoned your work, you were back to your usual self, making conversation with each other and dancing around to some of your favorite music as you got ready for the day together.
You had a little routine together where you often did each other's hair in the morning. It didn’t matter what it was, it was just a small way of getting to connect with each other and start your day off on a high note. So there you sat, in front of your mirror while Ona threaded her fingers through your hair as you shut your eyes and leaned back into her hands. “You always end up looking like you’re gonna fall asleep when I play with your hair.” she giggled at you.
“Yeah, it's relaxing,” you shrugged, “And you say I always look like I’m gonna fall asleep so it’s really nothing out of the ordinary anyways.”
“Hmm, that’s true, cause you never sleep, mi cielo.” Her hands carefully pulled your hair back into a low bun for you, making sure it was up to your standards before you switched spots to do her braid. Even though it was small, you were extremely grateful for this part of your routine. Feeling her hands move along your scalp always brought you comfort during your least favorite time of day.
.
When you arrived at the training grounds, Ona walked you to your office just as she always did, carrying your bag for you and giving you plenty of kisses before she headed off to the locker room. The second she left your office, you immediately buried yourself in your work. The coffee machine in your office was working overtime trying to keep up with you while you only looked away from your work long enough to brew a new cup. It seemed as though your days of sleepless nights were starting to catch up with you as you continued to work harder to remain focused.
Most days at work, you’d eat lunch with Ona. Either she’d bring her lunch to your office or, more commonly, you’d take your lunch to go eat with her and her teammates. You knew most of them, especially the ones she was closer with, so you liked having the break outside the confines of your office.
But today you couldn’t do that.
If you just spent your lunch working on your school work, you would have time to spend with Ona after you both finished working, which seemed like a much better use of your time. That way it’d be just the two of you, not stuck at work, able to spend some quality time together.
So you did the one thing you almost never did, and shut your office door, signaling to everyone to leave you uninterrupted. Of course when it was fifteen minutes into your lunch breaks and you still hadn’t filled the seat Ona had saved for you at the table with her friends, she picked up her plate and made her way to your office, thinking that’s what you were intending on. You heard her footsteps stop outside your door, and watched as she seemed to just pause there, figuring out what to do. On one hand, she knew that your closed door meant you were busy, but on the other hand, she also knew it was your lunch break.
When she finally made up her mind, she opened your door, ever so slowly, peeking her head through the small crack and finally seeing what had kept you from her- more school work. Upon seeing what you were doing, the brunette further opened your door and entered, settling into the extra chair across from your desk to eat her lunch. “Are you really working through lunch? No offense but you look like you haven’t slept in days, babe. You look like you could pass out at any second, you really need to take a break.”
“Ona, I’m fine. If I finish this now, then I’ll have time to spend with you tonight once we’re done here. Then I’ll take a break. With you.” You gave her a cheesy smile, hoping she’d accept your answer but still knowing she probably wouldn’t.
“As much as I’d like some time with you, it’s not me I’m worried about. You need a break. For you. Look me in the eyes and tell me what time you went to bed last night. Or if you went to bed for that matter.”
Of course she saw right through you and you should’ve expected that. Ona knew you better than you knew yourself sometimes. “I’m okay, I promise. I’m a little tired, sure, but I’ll be fine. I just have to get to graduation and then I’ll have a normal schedule again.”
Your girlfriend was starting to get frustrated by your insistence and refusal to listen. She knew you were running yourself to death and needed nothing more than a break to keep functioning. “(Y/n) you’re not listening. That’s the fifth time in the last two minutes that you’ve yawned, don’t think I don’t notice. When was the last time your head hit a pillow?”
“Ona. I’m fi-”
“If you say you’re fine one more time I might lose my mind.” She took a deep breath, trying to remain calm and not push her frustrations onto you further. The defender quickly stood up, pulling you up from your chair abruptly, “That’s it! We’re getting you out of this stupid office!
You knew there was no point in arguing with her, allowing her to drag you down the hallway into a lounge area when some of her teammates were scattered around the room keeping themselves busy. Some were finishing lunch, some of the younger girls doing school work of their own, others just relaxing together and hanging out. Ona pulled you onto a couch that had some sort of football game playing in front of it, many of the girls half-watching it. She immediately pulled you into her side, forcing you to cuddle up to her- something she wouldn’t normally do when you were both at work, but decided it was necessary at that moment.
“Lay down. I’ll set an alarm to wake you up when your lunch is over, just please, rest.” You gave her a half-hearted glare, partially for pulling you away from your schoolwork but partially because you doubted you’d be able to sleep in a space like this. But once again, Ona saw right through you. “Close your eyes and stop fighting it. I’ll be right here with you, even if you can’t actually sleep, you need a break. And you’re already half asleep so I’m really not too worried about it. I’ve got you, mi cielo.”
You gave her a slight nod before making yourself comfortable with your head on her lap, trying to do as she asked. You knew you were tired but didn’t fully comprehend how bad it was until your body instantly succumbed to your exhaustion. Within minutes, you had passed out on the couch. Ona’s teammates knew not to bother you having heard all of the defender’s concerns about you and your lack of sleep lately. All she got from them were a few knowing glances, happy to see how relieved Ona was at the sight of you sleeping on her.
Your girlfriend fully intended on waking you up at the same time you normally ended your lunch and went back to work, but you were so peaceful on her lap, and she knew how badly you needed the sleep that she had a hard time doing so. She knew she hated lying to you and that you’d likely be pissed off at her, but Ona really, truly felt that she didn’t have a choice- she had to let you sleep. You were running yourself into the ground and this seemed to be the only hope at slowing you down and allowing your body to recuperate.
When it was time for her to go back to her own training, Alexia came over to grab her, stopping in front of the younger woman when she saw the current position she was in, flashing her a sympathetic look. “Oni, you stay with your girl, I’ll cover for you. It’s just a regular gym session so you can make it up another time. Let her sleep.”
She was shocked to hear her captain so willing to allow her to miss a gym session, just to let you keep sleeping, but Alexia knew how worried she had been about you, everyone did. It was all Ona had talked about for the last week- how you were exhausted and overworked and rarely sleeping more than a few hours. And Ona had been playing full 90’s lately so Alexia knew she could also afford the break to let her body recover alongside yours. “Thank you, Ale. Seriously, I owe you.”
“Don’t mention it. You could use the sleep too, so why don’t you both just use the afternoon to catch up. I’ll let the physios know about (y/n). They’ve been pushing more than anyone that she needs a break so they’ll be glad to know she finally has one.”
Ona gave her captain another nod, grateful for the understanding, before getting comfy alongside you so she could also get some shut-eye. Alexia turned down the volume of the TV and lowered the lights before bringing a throw blanket to throw on top of you both, quietly chuckling at Ona as she did so, “Let me just be a mom for a second, tuck you in and tell you sweet dreams.” The blonde placed a quick kiss on both of your foreheads before leaving the two of you alone, knowing just how badly both of you needed it.
It was hours later when you woke up on Ona’s lap, still on a couch at the Barca training facility. As your eyes slowly creeped open, you noticed how quiet the room was, as if there wasn’t a team member within a mile radius of you. You looked around some, a bit confused as to how you ended up in the position you did when you finally thought to check your watch- 5:47 PM.
You jolted up, startling Ona awake as you did so, confused as to how you could’ve slept through your entire afternoon. “Ona, what the hell?! You were supposed to wake me up! How did I just sleep through the entire afternoon, I was supposed to be working!”
“Hey, hey, it’s okay I promise. Ale agreed we should let you sleep, the other physios were totally okay with it, she double checked and everything. It’s okay.” She watched the tension physically leave your body as you let out a sigh, partially relieved to hear that nobody would be mad at you for ignoring your work all afternoon, partially annoyed that your girlfriend forced you into taking a nap. It was hard to be mad at her though when you saw the way she looked at you, her eyes big and filled with concern.“You fell asleep right on my lap. It was cute. You’re adorable when you’re sleeping, you know that?”
You collapsed back into her arms for a hug, appreciative at her insistence to take care of you, even if you didn’t want to do it yourself. “Thank you, Oni. I love you, clearly I needed that.”
She held you close, rocking you gently before separating herself. “And I love you, mi cielo.” She pressed a kiss to the tip of your nose, “why don’t we go home? Snuggle for real, not at work, and then get to bed?” You responded with a slight nod before allowing her to help you up, and go gather your things to drive you both home.
.
On the way home Ona made the executive decision to pick up some takeout so you could really just focus on relaxing together once you got home. When you arrived, you did just that. Your girlfriend wouldn’t let you lift a finger, fully insisting that she had to take care of you so you could wind down and take a break. She led you directly to your room, sitting you on the bed while she changed you from your work clothes and into an old sweatshirt of hers with some comfy shorts. The defender made sure you were fully settled on the couch in a pile of pillows and blankets with your food before she took a shower and got changed to join you.
In the time that she was away, you had dozed off again in the cocoon she had made you in the living room, only waking up when you heard her footsteps. “Sorry, were you sleeping? I didn’t mean to wake you, go back to sleep.” She sat down next to you, stroking your hair soothingly, knowing just how much it put you to sleep when she played with your hair.
“Why don’t we just go to bed instead? You can read or something but it might be easier if I’m just in bed already before I fall asleep again.” Your girlfriend gave you a nod before leading you into your bed, snuggling up next to you.
Once you had settled in bed, you were basically laying on top of her, her hands holding you tightly against her with your head on her chest, listening to her heartbeats. “Goodnight kiss before you fall asleep?” The brunette left a light tap on your back, getting your attention before you leaned up to fulfill her request, happy to oblige.
“Do you wanna hear about the dream I had last night?” Ona asked you quietly, knowing her voice would lull you to sleep if you let her keep talking. You did this anytime either of you struggled to fall asleep- talking softly, mostly nonsense about anything and everything while the other half-listened until eventually falling asleep. You gave her a somewhat excited nod, knowing that her voice was always exactly what you needed.
So there you were, while Ona went on and on about her latest dream and you drifted back into sleep, not processing any of your words. “So then I was going to-” she looked down, noticing how your breaths had slowed, “oh okay you’re already asleep, I’m just talking to myself now, cool.” The brunette breathed out a slight chuckle at the sight of you. “Buenas noches, mi cielo. Sweet dreams.” She pressed a long kiss to your hairline, thankful to finally see you at peace, for the first time in at least a week- completely at rest in your lover’s arms.
hope you enjoyed! always appreciate any feedback and requests :)

You hurt. That was the first thing that you noticed as you woke up. Everything ached. Your toes, your legs, your hips, your waist, your chest, your face, even your hair hurt. You knew you shouldn’t have walked through the alleyway on the way home. How many times had Lucy and Alexia drilled it into you? ‘Don’t walk where there are no streetlights’. You had initially dismissed them as the overprotective worriers that they were, but now you really wished you had listened to them.
It was a rare rainy day in Barcelona, and you were trying to rush home. You hadn’t brought an umbrella with you, because why would you? You live in warm and sunny Barcelona now, not wet and windy London. You had your doubts about going down the alley, but it would cut your walk home in half, and you were already starting to shiver.
You hadn’t seen the man hiding at the end; otherwise, you wouldn’t have gone down it. But by the time you realised someone was there, you were basically at the end, and it would’ve been more awkward to stop and turn around.
“Oops, lo siento. Gracias.” You smiled weakly as you hurried past him.
You could feel his eyes on you as you continued your walk home.
You could hear his footsteps as you picked up your pace.
You could smell the alcohol on him as he drew nearer.
You could see the large Real Madrid tattoo on his bicep.
You could taste the blood in your mouth as your head hit the ground.
You knew you should move. You needed to get up and go to training. You needed to assess the damage done to you. You needed to do a lot of things. But you just couldn’t. It hurt to blink, so the thought of the pain that would consume your body if you tried to sit up, move off the bed and walk was unfathomable.
You don’t know when you feel back asleep – somewhere in between hoping someone could take away this pain for you and trying to work out what to say to people, probably. But your phone startled you. The loud, shrill noise made you twist painfully away from the sound. You just let it ring out; whoever it was and whatever they needed from you would not be worth the pain that it would answer it. The silence was almost just as painful as the ringing – your ears buzzing in the quiet.
LUCY (5 missed calls)
ALEXIA (3 missed calls)
KEIRA (1 missed call)
The herculean effort it took to open your eyes – well, one eye; the other refused to open – was not a good sign. The buzzing started again.
JONA
“Hello?” You answered. You almost didn’t recognise your own voice for how scratchy it was.
“Hola, solo queria ver donde estabas,” Jona explained, clearly anxious over the sound of your greeting. “Son casi las 10.30 y aún no te has registrado.” You didn’t understand what was happening; your head hurt too much for Spanish.
“In English, please,” you begged. There was some shuffling on his side before a different voice answered.
“Pollito?” That bloody nickname—Lucy had christened you ‘Chick’ (short for Chicken) when you first arrived at national camp; your gangly arms and legs, too long for your body, and your timid nature suited the nickname well. And it had followed you to Barcelona. “Where are you? It’s 10.30, and you’re not here.” Ona seemed calm, if a little stressed.
“Oni?” You sounded horrific.
“Are you sick? Oh, Déu meu, you sound awful, no offence.” The stress levels in her voice sounded more intense now and did little to help the pounding in your head.
“Ow,” you croaked out.
“What? Are you ok?” You could easily imagine her face pinched with worry and concern as she tried to find someone who could help. The sound you let out did not help her calm down—you think it was supposed to be another complaint about your pain, but it was definitely an indiscernible high-pitched squeak instead.
“Vale, vale, vale. Just … just stay there, sí?” like you could move, even if you wanted to. “I’m going to get Lucy … and Keira … and Alexia,” she started listing the names of people that would be helpful in this situation. Lucy and Keira were your national teammates; you had known them for most of your professional career. You often looked to them for guidance and reassurance. Alexia was your captain; she wouldn’t take kindly to Ona leaving her out of this - she also considered you a little sister, maybe even more so than Alba. You think she ended the call, but you were slipping back into dreamland before you could be sure.
The knocking at the door was what next woke you up. It was loud and incessant. You groaned, wishing they would stop and go away. You were out of luck, however, when you heard the tell-tale signs of a key being placed in the lock and your door opening. Only one person had a key.
“Chick,” Lucy called out. You groaned even louder and pulled the blanket over your head, trying to hide yourself from the world. You hadn’t seen what you looked like, but the right side of your face hurt more than the other, as did your hands and knees, so you assumed they took the brunt of the damage.
“Chick, you in here?” Keira shouted, her voice sounding like it was coming from the kitchen.
“Pollita?” Alexia sounded closer, too close to be in any other room besides your bedroom. You moaned in response. “Ella esta aqui,” she shouted to the others, the thundering footsteps echoing painfully as they barged into your room. You felt the blanket being tugged down, and you tried to resist it, holding onto it fractionally tighter.
“Hey, no, Chick. C’mon, lemme see you,” Lucy said softly, slowly working her magic as she rubbed your shoulder, thinking you were ill and didn't want her to see you like that. You let her pull the duvet down, not liking the loud gasp she let out when she caught a look at your face.
“What happened?” she asked tightly. You mistook her firmness for anger and couldn’t help the tears as they broke free. “Hey, no, no, no. Don’t cry,” she looked like she wanted to hug you but didn’t know where or what would bring you comfort or just more pain—her arms flapped helplessly mid-air.
“¿Qué sucede? Vas a estar enferma? Necesitamos ir al hospital? Qué está pasando?” You had never heard Alexia so panicked. Keira was quiet—too quiet. She didn’t like Lucy's look of fear or the tension in her voice.
“Chick?” Lucy asked again.
“I fell,” you lied. You don’t know why you lied, but you did. You couldn’t tell her that you ignored her concerns for your safety just because of some stupid rain. You were English – you dealt with rain all the time.
“Lucía, què està passant?” Alexia marched over, gasping loudly when she saw you. “Oh, honey.” The switch was dizzying. One moment, she was angry that no one was telling her what was wrong with you, and the next, she was as soft as a feather, gently coming to kneel by the side of your bed.
“Te caíste, sí?” She didn’t believe you; no one got this amount of bruising just from a fall. And there was something about how you avoided eye contact and scratched at your nails—your go-to trait when lying. “No creo que lo hicieras, pollita. Tell me what happened.” The gentleness was unlike anything you had ever heard from Alexia—she often provided solutions, playful aggression, and (brutal) honesty. Something must have really scared her to make her behave like this. You must have really scared her.
“I—I went through the alleyway,” you said weakly. You expected her and Lucy to look at you in a disappointed way, but no such thing was shown your way—just faces full of concern and worry. “There was a guy … I don’t really know what happened.” You weren’t intentionally vague; you genuinely did not know what had happened to you.
“Ok, Chick. That was very brave of you to tell us.” Lucy rubbed a soft finger over your cheek, wiping away the tears whilst avoiding the most apparent bruising. “We’re going to help sit you up, ok? I’m on your right, and Alexia’s on your left. We’ll get you to the bathroom and we’ll have a look at you properly, ok? Keira’s in the kitchen and will get you some food and drink.” She explained what would happen before she did it, helping to guide you to sit on the toilet.
Getting up with their help wasn’t as painful as you had expected, but maybe it was because you had rested your entire body weight on them. They held a mirror up for you as you began to examine yourself. Your eye was swollen, and a deep dark bruise was beginning to appear, and your cheek had a nasty red mark on it, but the rest of your face seemed unharmed. Your hands were cut, and so were your knees. You don’t know whether it was the pain or the tiredness or the events of the last 24 hours catching up with you as you slumped forward, your brain quietening as Lucy’s soft smell encased you and Alexia’s warm Spanish flooded your senses. You could her Keira’s hushed tones as she made her way around your kitchen, clearly on the phone to someone.
“Chick, it’s okay. We’ve got you,” Lucy said, smoothing your hair down as you rested your head on her shoulder.
Nadie te va a hacer daño, lo prometemos.” Alexia added.
And you believed them. They would definitely keep you safe.
I wasn't quite sure about the ending, but I hope you liked it <3

Pairing~ Ona Batle x plus size! Bronze Reader
Warnings ~a short lil something, self doubt, Google translated Spanish
Tumblr media
"Earth to batlle." Ona snapped out of her daydream coming face to face with her fellow defender. Ingrid rasied a questioning eyebrow as she noticed the girl had spaced out while the physio therapist worked the knots out of her thigh.
Ona blushed slightly, avoiding the taller woman's questioning gaze attempting to sneakily try to let her eye fall onto her newfound interest. The Norwegian is quick to match the trail of sight where her eyes stuttered a bit before she resorts to burying her head between her folded arms on the floor when she notices the brunette questioning gaze unflattering.
Ingrid is confused until her eyes meet the soft blue ones of y/n bronze. The new team head physiotherapist. The taller defender returned the wave the younger bronze gave her before she attended to the barça captain.
"So pequeña bronze?" Ona could hear the teasing tone in ingrid's voice and groans, causing the latter to let out a chuckle at her expense. Ingrid returned her gaze to where you were working on alexia's knee, and she could see exactly why Ona was infatuated with you.
From the little time most would have noticed, you chose to have your hair in a slick ponytail on most days as opposed to your sisters slick bun. Your stature down to your personality differs from the older bronze as well.
You're curvy body, something to admire. Thick thighs, well-rounded breasts, plush stomach, and a voluptuous ass to match. Your skin glistened with sweat, but it somehow made you glow in the barcelona sun, highlighting your dazzling eyes. Your personality also matched that sunshine as the team dubbed you the more approachable bronze. You truly were the embodiment of a higher beauty.
"Hey! ojos apagados." Ona lightly slapped the Norwegian on her calfs. "My squishy."
"Geez batlle, get a hold of yourself. You haven't even said a word to the girl." Ingrid tutted why moving out of arms reach. "Said a word to who?". Ona' freezes at the new voice and return her head between her arms, not exactly wanting to have this conversation with your older sister.
Ingrid snorts, causing the youngest brunette to crawl slightly and hit her again on the calf, the rash action causing the therapist to grumble under their breath. Ona huffs before getting into a sitting and folding her arms. The therapist just rolled their eyes before moving to complain to you.
Ona watched as you listened intently to the therapist complains before your head turned to meet her eyes, causing her to squeak and avoid your gaze. Lucy looked at the younger girl strangely before shrugging her shoulders when she met your questioning gaze.
Quickly finishing up with alexia, you made your way over to your sister and her teammates with a questioning eyebrow rasied and folded arms.
"Miss batlle?"
Ona squeaked, looking at you from her peripheral vision while ingrid swallowed a laugh, and your sister looked on confused at the young defenders' behaviour. You sighed before grabbing Ona's chin so she had no choice but to look at you.
"Miss batlle are you giving your physio a hard time."
"Soplona".
You rolled your eyes and chuckled along with the two older girls behind you before you gently reprimanded her for her behaviour, but it's obvious that ona hasn't heard a thing, her eyes looking softy at you. Smitten.
Realization of the brown eyed girl's behaviour finally hits your sister, and despite her protective nature, she can't help but smile. No one besides family had looked at you with such tenderness, and yes, her teammates have come to grow a certain protectivness over you as well, but the look on Ona's face was so much different.
Lucy quietly pulled ingrid away, allowing you to continue to gently chew Ona out while she just stared at you like you hung the stars in the sky.
°•°•°•°••°••°°••°•°•°
Another victory for barça and another celebration. The social light on Ona died a few hours ago, but she still refuses to leave the chosen bar for tonight's celebration in favour of people watching. Eyes immediately widen when they're in contact with you, chatting up a few girls she's never met before.
Ona didn't think it was possible for you to be any more beautiful, but here you are. The colourful bar lights didn't compare to the glow of your ocean blues. Your pleated skirt sat nicely on your fishnet covered thighs complimented by your cropped band shirt.
"You should go talk to her." Ona is off her seat by an inch at the new voice and places a hand on her chest to calm her racing heart while Lucy lets out an amused chuckle, earning a glare from the younger girl.
"But it's your sister, you would be uncomfortable. No?"
"I don't think there's anyone better suited for her, mi amiga."
With a pat on the back from Lucy, Ona made her way over to you and your friends. Rubbing both hands on her trousers nervously.
"Hola."
At the nervous greeting your group conversation ceased and your friends turned to the direction of the voice but your attention remained on your drink quite use to one of your friends being approached while you sat awkwardly in the background being thrown an sympathy smile from the patron.
You weren't in any way insecure about your looks in any means, but you just knew most prefer your friends over you, and you'd end up by your sister's side waiting until shes too drunk to function by the end of the night
Ona noted that she had everyone's attention except the one she wanted and scratched her head lighty and cleared her throat. "Y/n por favor?" The defender isn't sure what she's begging for, but the familiar voice got your attention along with the wrong idea.
"Oh, would you like me to leave?". Already making an effort to move with your drink. Ona violently shakes her head and gently grabs your wrist before guiding you to a vacant table.
"I want you please?"
To say you were shocked was an understatement. You harboured feelings for the defender, but given how close she was to Lucy, you just figured maybe you didn't have a shot. You may not be insecure, but you couldn't help but sell yourself shory standing in line with your sister.
"Por favor, Amor, one chance?". Ona pleads searching for your eyes when you insist on avoiding her eyes, the young brunette grabbed your chin like you did before and smiled softly, admiring every aspect of your face causing you to go shy attempting to avoid her gaze again.
Having none of it, though she grabbed your cheek in her palms to keep you from turning away. "Can I have you? Please?".
"Bold aren't we batlle"
"Si." You almost laugh at Ona's look of determination. Though flattered as no one has ever held that look in Ona's eyes or tried this hard to (claim)take you out. So you can't help but give in.
"Yes you can have me batlle"
You didn't think it was possible for Ona's smile to get wider, but it did, and she took you into her arms before squeezing you gently, completely melting into you

Warnings: Angst, sad stuff but like who doesn't love that
Lucy Bronze x Ona Battle, Lucy x reader before
Quick blurb.
"I do" Lucy said smiling to her bride. There was tears in her eyes and she seemed genuinely happy.
"I declare you as wife and wife! You may kiss the bride" The officiant announced and everyone cheered. You watched as Lucy kissed Ona passionately. Just like she had done with you a while before.
Lucy was finally happy with someone and you were happy for her. It just hurt that the someone wasn't you.
Lucy looked at you at one point. There were tears in both of your eyes. Lucy thought that they were happy tears but they were so much more. You had many great years with Lucy. One day she just fell out of love. You told her that you understood but that day your heart broke into million little peaces.
You had thought that Lucy was your endgame. You thought that one day you would get married and live happily ever after but that was too much to ask. You didn't see it coming when Lucy wanted to talk to you. It was the worst day of your life and you never got over Lucia.
The ceremony quickly changed into a party and drinks were shared and many dances danced. Everyone was happy expect for you. You were miserable. You had to watch the love of your life be happy with someone else. You tried to seem normal as you held a conversation with your best friend Alexia but she saw right through you.
"What's going on?" Alexia straight up asked.
"Nothing. What do you mean?" You tried to deny.
"I know you still have feelings for her y/n" She said back to you. Not believing your lies. You moved away from the dance floor to sit in a chair. Alexia came sitting next to you.
"I don't just like her Ale. I fucking love her and will never stop loving her" You whispered trying so hard not to cry. "I'm happy for her but it's just hurts too much to see her with another woman who is everything I couldn't be. Ona is amazing and they are perfect together but I still wish that it would be me" You continued. You couldn't fight the tears anymore.
Ale hugged you as you cried to her. She knew you needed someone to listen and not judge and she wanted to be that person. After You calmed down a bit you continued talking.
"I've decided to leave Barca and go to Arsenal." You confessed to the captain. Ale looked shocked.
"Y/n you don't have to do that. The team is so much better with you in it. I'm better with you here." Ale said with a sad tone.
"But I do have to do that. I can't watch those two be the perfect happy couple. I just can't do that right now. It will be better for all of us"
"Please just think about this for a little while longer y/n" Alexia pleaded.
"The transfer is already done. I have made my decision already and I'm sorry I didn't tell you before. Maybe in couple of years I will be back but right now this is what I have to do"
"I understand that. But please promise me that we will stay in contact. And you'll come and visit me often. I can't do life without you" Ale said with now tears in her eyes.
"Of course Ale, you are my best friend and you are not getting rid of me that easily" You laughed a little. You stayed with Ale for a while before continuing to the party.
"What the fuck y/n" Lucy yelled to the phone.
"What are you talking about?" You tried to act clueless but knew exactly what she was talking about.
"You know what I'm talking about y/n. You are going to Arsenal??" She continued angrily.
"Yes Lucia. I'm going to Arsenal and I'm sorry you had to find out this way. I was going to tell you I promise" You tried.
"Y/n I thought we were still friends. Aren't friends supposed to talk about this kind of stuff. You can't just leave. I don't want you to go" Lucy said. You could hear the hurt in her voice.
"It's not about what you want Lucy. I still love you okay and for some reason you don't seem to notice that. And I'm so happy that you finally have the life you have always wanted but I can't help the fact that I'm heartbroken that it's not with me. I love you Lucia and I just need to get away from all of this"
That's all you said before ending the call.
You had fell in love with the wrong person.

see you - ona battle
Tumblr media
She was walking with Lucia to a coffee shop that was next to the training ground. Their tradition to get a coffee before any trip with the team had been kept for another while. Her feet moving quickly under her as they both loudly laughed at something Lucia said. They made it to the cafe and get into the queue to order. Lucia pushes Ona out of the way so she can order first laughing at the girl who just curses back at her as she looks at her phone to answer her family groupchat about the match later on today.
“Hi!” she hears beamed at her, she looks up to be met with the most beautiful smile she had ever seen. “How can i help you today?” you ask the brunette who was just standing there. “Could i, uh, get a iced coffe?” she asks stuttering over her words. “Of course! What is the name?” you ask while typing it into the ipad in front of you. “Ona.” she states quickly. “Thats a pretty name.” you say lightly to her looking up at her through your eyelashes. “Thank you.” she shyly says. “Alright, that will be €2.50.” She taps her card on the machine without saying another word as you hand the coffe cup to the barista to make the drink. “Thanks.” she says smiling at you. “No problem! See you around.” you say back to the brunette girl, Ona.
The next time Ona gets to see you is only two days later. She had just departed from the bus that they were travelling on and had called an uber to bring her home, to kill the time before it got to her she decided to just get a coffee and sit down. The cafe was very empty which was weird considering it was lunch time in a busy business area.
“Hi!” she hears a weirdly familiar voice chirp from behind the counter your beautiful eyes gleaming at her with excitement. “Hello.” she smiles back at you immediately recognising you and taking im your beauty. “How are you Ona?” you ask the girl who was just staring at you in shock, how had you remembered her? She thought she was crazy for not shutting up about how pretty you were on the bus. “Im great thanks! How are you?” she asks once she snaps out of her little moment. “Im really good thank you” you start with a wink “what can i get you today? Same as last time?” You had remembered her order. “Yes, yes please.” she stuttered out in shock. You grap a coffe cup and quickly scribble what she would guess to be her order onto it with her name. “€2.50 once again.” you say laughing at the girl who was rooting through her pockets to find her card. After about twenty seconds of her looking she sheepishly grabs her phone that was now resting on the counter and removed the case to take out the card as you smile at the pink dusting on her cheeks. She taps the card, once again silently, and wishes you a quick “goodbye” that you follow with a small “see you, ona.” Ona being too embarrassed to talk to you after that. She quickly grabs her drink once her name is called out and practically sprints for the door as you watch her every move. She grabs the handle roughly and bolts out the door. Her legs are moving quicker than she can think and before she knows it she had walked to a nearby bench to sit down finally taking a breath.
Why did it bother her so much to be embarrassed in front of you? She just met you, if you could even call this meeting eachother. Deep down she knew there was something different about you. When she looked at you she could almost see you lying beside her in bed laughing with her, dancing in her sitting room to any song you would like. She could see you in the family section of any stadium with her name across your back. She was being ridiculous, but little to her knowledge you were panicking back in the shop. Had you taken it too far with the heart beside her name and your number scrawled under it. Is that why she freaked out and ran away? Did she think it was weird you were making such a big move on her after seeing her for about a minute in total beforehand.
She finally takes a drink of the coffee that she had forgotten was in her hand. She ended up cancelling the uber needing a walk to clear her head of her thoughts of you. She quickly finished the drink looking for somewhere to discard the plastic cup. She passes by a bin and goes to throw it into it finally noticing the heart at the end of her name. She smiles cheeks turning pink once again as she moves the cup around in her hands. Her breath hiches. A phone number. Your phone number in small writing under her name.
She quickly takes out her phone and puts the phone number into it and saving it as a contact. Her fingers, that were slightly shaking, press down on the off button on her phone. She had to think about what she was going to message you. She couldn’t risk embarrassing herself for a second time in one day. A few hours later that consisted of phone calls to different teammates for advice on what to say, they all thought she was being ridiculous but wouldn’t dare to say it to the girl, she finally agreed to just say ‘hey coffee girl, its ona x’. Her argument that this was bed was qucikly shut down by Mapi who just scolded her in Spanish for not having messaged you yet.
Your phone suddenly buzzes pulling your attention away from the television that was playing some random reality show.
unknown number: hey coffe girl, its ona x 20:44
At this sight you jump off your couch holding you phone in your hands smiling at the notification. She had messaged you. She didnt think you were weird. You save her number in your phone as “ona 💞” and begin to type out your response.
y/n 🤍 : so you knew what the numbers on the cup were all this time??? 20:47
She laughs under her breath at your response.
ona 💞 : had to ask a few people to figure it out 🤷‍♀️ 20:48
You shake your head at her answer smiling at your phone. The two of you continue going back and forth until about three in the morning when you accidentally fall asleep while waiting for her to answer. The sun over your face wakes you up from your deep sleep, you go to grab your phone to see what time it is while thanking yourself for saying that you wouldn’t be working today. 10:24 not bad considering you were up fairly late the night before. You unlock your phone and immediately take notice of the only notification you care about, Onas.
ona 💞: no it honestly is idek why people say its bad 03:57
She said in reference to the conversation you had just been having. Thankfully agreeing with you on her opinion of the new nextflix show that had just come out.
ona 💞 : im going to guess you fell asleep, goodnight y/n <3 04:24
You read the message carefully. Checking the times that both of them had been sent. She had stayed up waiting for you to answer. Your heart swelled at the thought.
y/n 🤍: yes sorry i did!! 10:28
y/n 🤍 : good morning ona <3 10:28
A giddy smile takes over your face as you begin rereading the messages from the night before, swooning over the spanish nicknames she would call you throughout. You feel your phone buzz in your hand as you see the much too familiar name flash up before your eyes, ‘Ona 💞’.
ona 💞 : dont worry piccola, good morning <3 10:42
ona 💞 : are you free today?? 10:43
You almost combust at this message this certainly wasnt what you were expecting when you took up the barista job less than a week ago but you don’t believe you would want it to be any other way.

Clumsy
Hi. So this was a request that I thought was such a cute idea. I hope you enjoy it.
Lucy Bronze x Reader
Description: Moments were Lucy helps take care of R when she's clumsy
Word Count: 2.8k
TW: Injury
Tumblr media
You were clumsy. That had been a fact of life since you were born. In nursey, you had a designated Mr Bump ice pack that was used solely by you. In primary school, the office lady who doubled as the nurse was your best friend, often spending more of your playtime with her getting something patched up than running around with your friends. In secondary school, things didn’t get any better. You often sported random bruises that you didn’t know where they came from. You would think that being placed into a sport that required a level of coordination and skill from a young age and then becoming a professional footballer would improve your balance and dexterity, yet you were often on the ground in matches due to your own idiocy rather than a harsh shove or poorly timed tackle from the opposition.
The bruises to your ego hurt more than the ones on your skin, but you often just laughed it off, accepting the hands that came to help pick you up off the floor and wipe away the grass stains. The hand that, more often than not, belonged to Lucy. She was always the first to come to your aid with a poorly concealed laugh and a kind smile. In a match, it was followed by a raised eyebrow and a squeeze to your shoulder as she shook her head, trying to remain professional on the pitch. In training, it was a gentle kiss to the forehead and an arm around your waist as she steadied you. In your daily life outside the training ground, you could never fully fall as she often tucked you safely into her side or had a firm, supportive grip on you if that wasn’t possible. In your own home's privacy, you could hardly move without Lucy fretting over you. She had seen too many injuries occur for you to be allowed to do much without her personal supervision – not that you really minded your girlfriend’s near-permanent presence.
------------------
It was a wet and windy day as you battled it out on the pitch. It was not the most ideal conditions to play in regardless, but with your inability to stay on your feet, you were having more trouble than most. You were making a run up the wing when you tripped, stumbling over your own feet as you went flying, skidding painfully along the sodden grass. You groaned, embarrassed that you had, once again, ended up face down on the pitch. You lay there for a minute, waiting for your mind to catch up with what happened before rolling onto your back.
“You good, love?” Lucy laughed as she came to your side.
“Ow,” you groaned, but reaching for her to help pull you back to standing.
“Are you ok?” Lucy asked again, a hand coming to rest on your shoulder as you drew level with her again.
“Yeh, sweets, I’m ok,” you sighed, wiping the worst of the mud off your jersey. Her eyebrow raised, silently asking if you were being honest with her. "I might be a little sore tomorrow, but I’m okay,” you mused. You had gone down a little harder than normal and could already feel the ache in your body as a result.
“Do you need to come off, bubba?” She asked, face full of concern as she scanned you discreetly.
“No, I’m ok. My ego took more of a battering than I did,” you laughed, lifting your shoulder to trap Lucy’s hand between it and your cheek. She squeezed three times and winked at you. You stuck your tongue out in an attempt to playfully lick her hand, demonstrating to her that you were clearly fine.
“C’mon, then. Let’s try to stay vertical with your feet on the ground for the rest of the match, shall we?” Lucy teased as you moved back into your respective positions.
“I can try, but I make no promises,” you joked back, grinning widely at her as you separated.
She shook her head at you. “I love you,” you mouthed at her.
“I love you,” she mouthed back.
------------------
“Shit,” you said as you stumbled up the stairs to the training pitches.
“Careful, idiota maldestre.” Aitana called as she came to steady you.
“Mi héroe,” you thanked her, wrapping an arm around her shoulder. “And I’m not an idiot. I might be clumsy, but I’m not an idiot.” You slipped her into a headlock that she quickly broke out of.
You came to stand beside Lucy in the huddle before training started, her arm automatically drawing you into her side.
“No quiero ninguna herida,” Jona said as he finished his pre-training speech, his eyes lingering on you for a second longer than everyone else. You just smiled at him.
“Now, what are we going to do today, love?” Lucy asked in a serious tone, but you knew she was teasing. Her hands came to rest on your hips as the others split off into their training pairs.
“Stay upright,” you replied in an equally severe voice.
“Good.” She squeezed you lightly before glancing around and pressing a swift kiss to your cheek. You rolled your eyes at her antics and beamed anyway.
Your promise only lasted about 20 minutes. You were in a trio with Alexia and Patri; Alexia pushed against you with a yoga ball as Patri passed the ball for you to kick back. It was going well. You remained strong and firm, leaning back into the shoving and stabilising your core muscles. But you were so focused on keeping your body straight that you forgot where you planted your feet.
“Fuck,” you exclaimed as you went tumbling to the ground, Alexia and the giant blue ball following you. Patri stood, slightly stunned, as her group was no longer in front of her; instead, there was a pile of limbs on the floor. “Ay, dios mío. Estás bien?” Patri asked, recognising the grimace of pain on your face. “Ow,” you winced as you tried to wiggle it. Now standing again, Alexia left your side, heading toward your girlfriend.
“Bubba?” Lucy’s concerned voice reached you as you shifted to sitting, her hand coming to rub your back as she crouched by your side.
“I’m ok, sweets. It’s just my ankle. I put my foot down wrong.” You tried to move it again, but it didn’t hurt, though it definitely felt funny.
“Ok, let’s get you up and to the medics.” Lucy moved to help you up, taking most of your weight. You gently added more pressure to your foot, relaxing slightly as no pain radiated up your leg. “What did I ask you about injuries?” Lucy sighed dramatically as she guided you to the bench where the physio was waiting.
“I’m sorry,” you said guiltily, your cheeks flaring with an embarrassed blush.
“I know you are, love,” she said, depositing you on the seat and pressing a lingering kiss to your forehead. “No funny business,” she said seriously as she cupped your face. "And listen to the doctors.” You nodded, taking her hand and kissing her palm lightly.
“I love you,” you whispered.
“I love you,” she answered, equally as quiet before she returned to training.
------------------
“Anem, anem,” Aitana chanted, her excited calls encouraging everyone to increase their speed as you walked to Manuela’s. There was finally a break in the busy schedule, so naturally, you used it to your advantage. The drinks were flowing, and the carefree atmosphere helped relax you immensely.
“Oops,” you muttered under your breath as you tripped over the uneven pavement. You didn’t go very far, not with Lucy's iron grip on your hand.
“Okay?” She asked you as you shook off the jolt.
“Yeh. You saved me, sweets. My knight in shining armour.” You lifted your intertwined hands and pressed a loving kiss on the back of hers.
“Ew, ustedes dos son asquerosas,” Mapi gagging as she fell in step with you. You clicked your teeth.
“Girl, you have no leg to stand on with that. You and Ingrid are so in love, it’s hideous to witness.” You laughed at how offended she seemed.
“Es cierto,” Lucy agreed. Ingrid giggled at her girlfriend’s expression.
“Uhh, mi Princesa, no deberías estar de acuerdo con ellos.” Mapi continued, outraged at the apparent attack on her relationship.
“She just recognises the truth,” you goaded, drawing Ingrid closer as she swung her arm around your shoulders.
“Relax, min skjønnhet. She’s only teasing.” Ingrid placated her girlfriend, extending her hand out for Mapi to take. You watched as she and Mapi fell into a quiet conversation, love clear on both of their faces. You turned to look at Lucy and found her already looking at you, her own adoration clear on her face, which you were sure echoed in yours. She squeezed your hand three times, causing a blush to bloom on your cheeks. You squeezed back three times and watched as she looked down, slightly shy under your intense gaze.
The problem with alcohol for you was that it caused you to fumble even more. You had gone outside with Ona and Keira to get some air – the sweaty club was getting to all of you.
“So, yeh. I think I want to try to get a long weekend away in soon ish,” Ona finished her conversation. You weren’t really paying attention, your minds drifting between the chicken nuggets you would pester Lucy for on the way home and if you wanted another drink or not – the world spinning slightly as you sucked in the cool night air.
“You alright over there, clumsy?” Keira asked, noticing you staggering somewhat as you drifted away from the pair.
“Um? Oh, yeh. I’m a-ok,” You threw Keira the universal ‘ok’ sign – pausing slightly as you commanded your fingers to do what you desired. Your drunkenness was obvious; you blinked a little too slowly, and you were clearly not in complete control of yourself, but your speech wasn’t slurred yet.
“Sure, you are,” Ona laughed as you tried to wedge yourself between them, throwing too much weight into the action and launching yourself forward. You crashed heavily into the ground, your knee taking most of the force. You yelped a little at the pain before flopping down on the floor behind the bar. You looked down, and a slight graze on your right hand captured most of your attention until Ona gasped.
“What?” You looked around, trying to see the cause of her alarm.
“Su rodilla,” she said as she pointed to your knee. Your drunk brain didn’t know what she was referring to, but you followed her finger and came to stare at your bloodied knee. You gasped.
“My knee,” you whined, only now becoming aware of the throbbing cut.
“I’ll get Lucy; you stay with her.” Keira rushed back inside.
“Oni, I fell,” you pouted. You looked from your knee to her and back again, your frown increasing with every minute. Ona had to admit, drunk you was very adorable.
“Love?” Lucy appeared, looking around frantically for you.
“Sweets?” You perked up, looking somewhat like a meerkat.
“Hey, lovely. How are you doing?” She asked gently, taking a seat next to you.
“I fell,” you said wetly through the tears that had begun to roll down your cheeks.
“Oh, Bubba. It’s ok.” She cooed, drawing you to lay your head on her collarbone. She shushed you gently, used to your drunken antics after the number of years you had dated. It was easier for her to treat every issue with just as much seriousness as you did. “It’s just a small cut. Let’s get you patched up, and we can head home, ok?” You nodded, refusing to leave the sanctuary of Lucy’s chest. “Do you want me to do it, or are you ok with Manuela’s staff doing it?” she asked, leaning back slightly to hear your answer.
“Want Mazza to do it,” Lucy sighed. You often missed your best friend when you were in Barcelona and she was back in Manchester.
“Mary’s not here, Bubba. How about Keira?” Lucy comforted you, nodding to Keira to take the first aid kit from the security guard who had joined you outside. You sniffled slightly, burring yourself further into Lucy as the alcohol wipe stung your cut.
“Can I have nuggets?” You asked, your mind still lingering on the food you craved.
“Sure, love.” Lucy laughed as you sat up straighter at her response.
“I love you,” you said, staring straight into her eyes.
“I love you,” she responded, leaning in to press a kiss to the corner of your mouth.
------------------
You stared at your relatively empty fridge. An onion, a pepper, some leftover chicken, and 3 eggs stared back at you. It's not particularly inspiring, but it would do. You gathered the ingredients, deposited them on the chopping board, and started cutting. You should have started with the pepper to avoid having watery eyes as you chopped everything, but you weren’t thinking and now you were regretting it. The lingering sting of the onion made it harder to see what you were doing. The front door opening also distracted you even more. Lucy’s calls of arrival made you not watch where you placed the knife and try to cut the pepper.
“Fuck,” you swore loudly. The red liquid came streaming out alarmingly quickly. “Ow, ow, ow.” You blinked away the tears.
“Love, what’s wrong? Are you ok?” Lucy ran around the corner, skidding on the hard floors as she rushed into the kitchen. You were aware of how scary it must have looked, you standing wide-eyed at Lucy, blood running down your hand with a knife in the other.
“Oh, Bubba.” Lucy soothed, her gentle fingers taking the knife from your hand and manoeuvring you to stand by the sink, letting cool water wash over the cut. “What happened, lovely?” she asked her.
“I was trying to make us tea,” you said dejectedly. Why couldn’t you do anything right? All you wanted was to do one small thing for Lucy, and here you were, bleeding into her sink. You looked up to the ceiling, trying really hard not to let the tears fall. She gently patted your finger with a clean towel before holding it tightly, trying to stop the bleeding. “So stupid,” you whispered dejectedly.
“Hey, stop that. Accidents happen.” She chastised gently, pushing some hair out of your face.
“Not just this,” you waved your injured hand around. “I constantly trip and fall, and it’s just so stupid. I’m an adult. I’m an athlete. I should be less of a fucking clumsy idiot.” You had heard it your whole life – people teasing you over your clumsiness, calling you affectionate nicknames based on your inability to stay upright. You sniffed, staring hard at the floor.
“Hey, no, stop it.” She said firmly, her free hand forcing your chin up until you had to look at her. “I love that you trip all the time. It’s part of who you are,” she kissed your cheek. “And I like that I can help you,” she admitted softly. “It makes me feel important,” she whispered.
“Oh,” you said, surprised. “You are important. And not just to me. And not just because you help me when I trip.” You spoke with such conviction. She leant in to press a passionate kiss on your lips. You hummed quietly at the feeling. “I love you,” you proudly stated when she drew away.
“I love you,” she said declared back.
------------------
You weren’t really paying attention as Leah moaned about something someone had done to her. It was very trivial, but she took it as a personal attack. You spotted Lucy walking down the path to the field with two water bottles. You saw her spot you and speed up slightly, smiling at the thought of her hurrying to get to you. She was practically speed walking down the gentle slope, her movements slowly becoming less controlled. You saw her foot catch the uneven pavement from a tree root. Before you knew it, you had abandoned your conversation with Leah and rushed to Lucy’s side, getting her just in time to stop her from falling painfully onto the concrete.
“Easy, sweets,” you teased, leaning your body into her to help steady the both of you. “You ok?” you asked her, scanning her features for any discomfort.
“I’m all good, bubba. You caught me.” She smiled broadly at you.
“You always catch me. I thought it was only fair.” You pressed a kiss to the underneath of her jaw.
“I love you,” she said happily.
“I love you,” you replied, equally as joyful.
I hope you enjoyed it <3<3<3<3
