TOTK missed a huge opportunity to use Dark Link. Not the costume, the actual Dark Link.

It would have made the Depths even more terrifying if Dark Link was just patrolling around, looking for the player with AI programming.

Especially since the Depths are supposed to be a mirror of Hyrule.

Thinking about how much Halsin respects and admires tav and the tadpole gang after they rescue him from the goblin camp. He's been there before, the last time he was captured it was really traumatic and ultimately he had to save himself when the opportunity arose, but this time people actually saved him as well as his grove. Like when was the last time someone did that for him? Honestly even if the shadow curse wasn't a thing he'd probably still leave the grove for them because who else would go through all that for him?

Ahaha i have to talk about the 2 epilogues in the original novel Da Ge.

Epilogue 1: san pang (who is married to a dif character) brings his wife and daughter over and WZY answers the door, while WQ is still not up. San pang brings his baby daughter to find WQ but before that asks if there' are's anything inappropriate for kids in the room. WZY gives him something like a slight lenny face. Later WQ about to get up and tells them to leave so he could "change" but before exiting the room san pang catches a glimpse of all the hickies on WQ and was like, to WZY, i thought your room was safe for kids!

Epilogue 2: Xiao bao about to get married and WQ is feeling a sense of loss. They're lying in bed and WQ's talking about it. WZY on the other hand has this intrusive happiness because from now on nobody will fight for WQ's affection with him. Then he distracts WQ with some Physical Exercise in bed. Afterwards they're just saying nothings and WZY bites his finger. WQ says, that's enough baobei (baby), i can't take another round, let me sleep.

Do I think Phil is gonna show signs the moment he returns on Friday? No.

He is going to come back to Chayanne and Tallulah. They'll be skeptical at first. But they'll warm up throughout the day. It's time to celebrate his birthday after all! Can't make it stay awkward. By the end of it they'll have had a wonderful time. They'll have a long talk, and group hug. Then they will repeatedly hit Phil and ask that he never makes them worry like that again. He will laugh, and agree.

We won't be able to tell that the Ender King was in control the entire time until the kids go to sleep and we enter Lore Mode. Just sayin.

Top 10 best RotE covers

So my Top 10 worst RotE covers has been making the rounds again, and it reminded me that I had started a list of my 10 favourite covers. NGL it was much harder to find 10 covers I liked than it had been to find 10 really bad ones, but there are still some gems out there 💖

10. Assassin's Apprentice (Brazilian Portuguese)

This is where you can clearly see that I don't have much to work with in terms of good covers for this series. Do I love this? No. Is it generic-looking? Yes, but the stag and font look badass and the result is effective

9. Assassin's Quest (Turkish)

Nice and graphic, I really like the tile effect and this red is very striking.

8. Mad Ship (Romanian)

I'm not sure if the figurehead is supposed to be Paragon or Kendry, but they did take a risk and the result looks cool and very different from every other cover out there.

7. Royal Assassin (Polish)

What I really like about this one is that instead of looking badass and in charge like in most covers, this Fitz looks sad and lost, so the artist got that right. And the cloak that morphs into a trail of blood is 👌👌

6. Fool's Assassin (French)

Bee actually looks her age and there's a heartbreaking contrast between this small and lonely child and the pyre burning next to her. Very good one!

5. Ship of Magic (French)

Althea reaching out to a gorgeous and very dramatic-looking Vivicia with a mysterious atmosphere around them, yessss! Really cool and memorable

4. Fool's Errand (UK)

A classic, and this spot is for John Howe's covers in general. I don't love them all but there's a very unique and ethereal feel to his art, his use of colours is wonderful and there are always a lot of details to look at.

3. Fool's Errand (Japanese)

The Japanese editions for Tawny Man look unreal and it was extremely difficult to pick just one so again, this spot is for the whole set. So, so beautiful and imaginative!

2. City of Dragons (Czech)

I fell in love with this style as soon as I saw it. It looks absolutely fantastic, damn, look at this Alise and the stone statue behind her!! I love that all the covers from this edition of RWC focus on a different character instead of just showing random dragons. The artist has obviously read the books and it shows.

1. Fool's Quest (UK)

I am not just saying that because this is the edition I own, but Jackie Morris is the queen of RotE covers for me. I have nothing bad to say about her covers, they look stunning and they work extremely well as a set.

my (rather belated) impression of this year's Special Mystery Opera - Psychic Detective Yakumo stage play!

I say that but it's just me trying to cram scenes I liked with Yakumo as much as possible into the canvas lol

I feel that the production is the definition of "never let them know your next move" because I didn't know what to expect given the unusual stage layout this time around, but they really went ahead and utilized it to the fullest! And the lively direction that this adaptation took is still so refreshing to see.
