this is a nsfw fest, therefore you must be 18 years of age or older to participate.

any fics submitted this round will not be moderated content wise; please use common sense & best judgment when it comes to things like tagging your fic correctly/appropriately. whether the next round's fic content will be moderated is completely dependent on how participants do these things.

there is no minimum word count for this fest.

this will not be an anonymous fest; you can absolutely post snippets of your fic as you're writing. tag this blog & use the hashtag to be reposted as well!

fics are allowed to have more than one author - if you want to write with one or more friends, go for it

this is a one direction fic fest, so you can write about any pairing - or ot3/ot4/ot5 - you'd like!

you can write about any & all forms and variations of one direction; this fest thrives on inclusivity, variation & exploration!

hello!! i’m starting my first fic fest called “not just smut fic fest” and it’s based off of the concept of “smut as a means to character development” which you can interpret in any way that you’d like to create your story! there will be plenty of time to submit prompts; sign ups will begin in about two weeks and the sign up deadline will be the second week of october. you can come up with your own prompt as well, so if you don’t find any prompts that speak to you or if you just have a specific prompt in mind that you’d like to write that doesn’t come from any submissions, you’re absolutely free to do so!

He smiles and whistles as he walks out the front door on his annual one day off. Niall and Liam wave at him from the stable and barn respectively. They’re smiling too, but it doesn’t look quite right on their faces. Louis doesn’t understand why they look so sad every time he does this. Just like he does every year on September 28th, he walks to town in his best suit, a perfectly dried and preserved rose tucked into the button hole of his left lapel. He waves at the townsfolk and greets his friends, a genuine happy smile playing at his lips the entire way down to the train station. Nobody dares comment, but Louis can tell they pity him. They think he’s being ridiculous. They think the whole thing is mad. But Louis knows. He just knows that Harry will show up.
