throughout your time in the ministry, both you and your wonderful girlfriend, aurora, had a personal tradition where you both would make gingerbread houses together. each year, the gingerbread houses would always follow a different theme. one year you made a cute little treehouse, the next you’d make a witch’s tower. hell, there was even one season where the two of you made a full blown pirate ship.

shimmering candied crystals were dotted all over the base of the house, along with various sweet treats such as gumdrops, candy canes, chocolate and glazed strawberries. the best part about this elegant christmas dessert were the handmade pastry birdies. aurora came up with the idea of making two robins made out of candied pears and grapes, creating a duo of birdies that sat in the center of the bird house. they almost looked like you and aurora.

aurora squealed in delight and held up the tray that held your guys’ creation, marveling at both hers and your hard work.

5. screen / shiki-e. Doctors Marco, Law & Chopper deal with the changing seasons. Canon elements. Very pretty and funny art from tsute and others. (3,281 words)

Ooooohh this is such a good question. I've been waffling on answering this because to be honest, if you lend me your ear, I WILL talk bout whatever I'm obsessed with. Whether you ask or not, I'm ready and willing to talk my heart out. lmao

If I reeeaally think on it, I would have to say horror rpg-maker games! Specifically 'Ib', that one's my fave. Its not a very popular game anymore (nor are a lot of them) so I never get the chance to talk about it, but I have such a soft spot for it and I'll take any opportunity to talk about them if people are looking for game recommendations.

There is a certain charm (and creep factor) that you get from these games that I can never find in modern, triple-A games. Like these games are 8-bit style, but have stayed in the back of my mind for years and I always look back on them in fondness.

'Ib' is a game where you play as little girl named Ib, who is visiting an art museum with her parents. While taking a look around the museum, you eventually get lost and things get a bit...✨Spooky ✨ This game has multiple endings, lots of puzzles, and a storyline that goes deeper then you think. I love that its very art centric, so that may be why I love it so much, but it was my introduction to rpg-maker games and BOY what an introduction. It's currently $12.99 on steam (I played it well before it got on steam, so I was able to play it while it was free) but it'll be the best 12.99 you ever spend, trust me!

A few honorable mentions are Witch's House, Mad Father, and Misao. These are incredible games to play on your own and are guaranteed to be not only a fun time, but give you plenty of scares. Perfect now that we are entering spooky season!

Also in tribute to my favorite all time horror game, I made an art piece for it! It's currently the header for this blog. ❤ Thank you so so much Anon! I literally get SO happy when I can talk about this game. It's the best.

she doesn't let stefan sacrifice himself and after whatever finale fix alternative they run the school with klaus lol (idk if i like klaus as a school board figure or as a history teacher ala the hilarious bodyswapped!alaric scene but that's a different post)

not a line so much as an exclamation, but I adore her "Seriously?" every time. favorite quirk.

Aaaah thank you so much!! That's so kind of you ;o; I will get them to you asap, I hope you enjoy them! ❤ Oh man, my history with TMNT is honestly very hazy - It feels like one day I was just..*into it* y'know? XD So get ready for a ramble... But my earliest memories of it are when the 2003 show was airing - very scattered mind you - in the UK, I don't think I really caught it on tv until around season 4 so I had no clue what was happening - then after that they just showed the final 2 seasons on repeat seemingly for years. ToT) Even then I still fell in love with the characters and crushed HARD on Donatello. And vaguely concieved my OC, Vye. This was probably around 2007-8? Not really sure, I just remember being in High school and that's it? But I revisited the show and watched it properly from start to finish maybe around 2010-11 and just fell completely in love with it. Fell out of it again as I do with fandoms, and then during Covid I fell right back in again - BIG TIME. As for favourite/least fave characters...oh man, that's so tough!! Donatello is still probably my ultimate fave, but how I feel about the characters often fluctuates because they're all so loveable and I enjoy them for many differing reasons! Least fave...uh...Garbageman?

Like seriously, just wipe your mouth dude.

Fun fact though: When I first got into TMNT, since I only saw Season 4, with 0 context, my least fave was actually Leo! I hated him so much pfff XD (Obviously now I have full context I feel totally different and he is my best sword boi.)

Thank you for the ask Niki! I suffer from recency bias, so I tend to like the things I've written more recently haha. Here's five of my favorite of my own fics in no particular order.

more or less (Blue Lock, Isagi/Rin, T, 5k)

I learned a lot about Lightning Ridge in Australia when I wrote this, and it was a lot of fun imagining what our fave Blue Lock characters would do on a geology rock-finding expedition. It is self-indulgent as heck!

2. you've got nothing on my tendency (to be led astray) (BNHA, Dabihawks, T, 5k)

This was inspired by a Twitter meme I've lost about demon summoning but the demon falls for the summoner, and I think it's funny! It's another college AU. I write a lot of short one-shots in the under 6k range and that's actually my preferred WC when writing fic, even though I have been known to write longer.

3. a day without rain (Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Sylvix, T, 4.9k)

This was a gift for a dear friend and I went ham on it and dumped everything I know she would like. a day without rain is my love letter in gay fanfic form to Brooklyn, New York and winter, that oft-maligned season. I'm really proud of how it turned out.

4. there and back again (JJK, Satosugu, 96k)

This fic. Gahhh. Where do I start? I started this as an NaNoWriMo project, and it just kind of grew from there. It's incredibly self-indulgent, where I dumped in all this music I love. there and back again is my love letter to the love of family. It's not perfect, but I'm proud of being able to finish something this long.

5. 4115 campus drive (Haikyuu, Iwaoi, 2k)

I had the idea for this one in 2020 when we found out collectively that Iwaizumi went to UC Irvine, but it didn't come together structurally untll 2022 when another good friend cheered me on. This was my first Iwaoi fic ever, despite me being a total Iwaoi stan between 2016-2019 haha.

Thanks for the ask! If you check my Masterlist you can see which are my favorite fics but here are the explanations of my top 5!

Forever and Always: I honestly loved every moment of writing this. I knew I wanted it to have a more bittersweet ending as opposed to being straight fluff in the end because life has a funny way of working itself out. Arguably my fave fic I've written so far.

Wherever You Are: My favorite song by 5 Seconds of Summer from the moment I heard it as a 14 year old and I knew I had to write a fic based on it. Also a fic where I'm happy with it every time I reread it and I'm so proud of this one. This is the other fic that's arguably my all time fave.

What Kind of Future: This one is a little more personal. The title is based on "What Kind of Future" by Seventeen's Woozi. The song is entirely in Korean but the English translation is just as beautiful and something really personal to me. The overall fic is loosely based on an experience I once had so it really hits home for me. Beautifully heartbreaking and helps me cope.

Cuffing Season: An smau fic that I honestly thought about while I was at church lmao. I was truly cracking myself up and I wanted to use all those cheesy pick up lines in some regard. I still crack up reading it and I'm glad a lot of you guys seem to enjoy it too!

The Only Reason: Another fic based on a 5 Seconds of Summer song (I have A LOT more planned bc I love 5SOS so be on the lookout for that!). This one was a bit tricky to write because I ended up changing the concept at least 10 times and I straight up almost gave up on it. At one point I was like "what the actual fuck am I doing here LMAO" but I'm really happy with how it turned out in the end. Also my first smut fic and I'm surprised at how happy I am with the result!

ty! seasons and get together are the ones i always recommend but if you’re just getting one i would say get together is the best choice bc it comes with a world unlike seasons. the only one i wouldnt recommend is island living bc its essentially a game pack for an expansion price 😭

So of course I reblogged this meme and them forgot to answer the ask for it *facepam* Oh well.

So throbb. Obviously ship it, even if in like the "wow this is toxic love the soul-destroying angst ❤" sort of way.

What made you ship it? - Funnily enough the show, although not at all on the first time around (probably also because Theon of less of interest to me the first time around - for shame, I know) but they just have a lot of shippy scenes and stuff?

What are your favorite things about the ship? - The drama, the angst, the tragic doomed-by-the-narrative sort of vibe, the dark Romeo & Juliet vibe, you know all the things you want from a fun toxic ship. But then at the same time...that almost painful potential of how sweet and good it could be if only....

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? - Oh god, so many. But honestly the fact that I see it as a darker, doomed sort of ship as opposed to lowkey The Dynamic, where Robb is a Gift and Theon is a disaster/Disaster who just needs to realize that all he needs is his sweaterboy is probably already unpopular enough.

Sanrion is a hard one because...I can't really say I ship it as such, I'm not invested in it, but like I wouldn't mind it? And I think when I was reading/watching, I did kind of wish the situation wasn't so awful for them so that they could make it work? So I'm gonna go with the "do ship" questions.

What made you ship it? - I mean, like I think they could work well if a) Sansa was older and b) it wasn't a forced marriage while their families are literally at war. And I would love to see my two faves happy, etc, so I like the idea of them being able to find common ground once things have settled down and no one is being forced into anything anymore.

What are your favorite things about the ship? - I think they could have some genuine compatibility. Tyrion was kind to her best he could be in the situation and when most other people weren't and wouldn't have been in that environment and she's the sort of person who would/could appreciate him, just not in that exact situation. So, like, I enjoy the potential.

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? - People really need to relax and untwist their panties about it lol.

"I've got a few of those myself." I so want to know more about these cases that keep Beau up at night, that he can't let go of 👀🧐🕵🏻‍♂️🔍 And just more about of him in general, we've only really seen him at work so far, and with people. I want to see what he does when he's at home, reading, watching the Dallas Cowboys' games. I love his scenes with Jenny, but I could definitely sacrifice his scenes with some other people (oh, I don't know, all the scenes of him getting insulted by the McCallisters, for example. Just a suggestion 🙄) to learn more about him, his past cases, his brother and what happened in Dallas, what he likes to do for fun, how he really feels about having to have uprooted his whole life in Texas.

That scene with the rifle and the roof, that was such a smart move 🥺 Here's to the smartest sheriff around 🔥 AND he's funny "Janky meth lab" right to the suspect 🤣🥺

Beau not wanting to believe that a teenager could've committed the crimes, it just shows that he wants to believe the best in everyone. And it makes me wonder if this is part of the reason he can't realize how badly Carla and Emily treat him, even though emotionally he feels sad and disheartened after every single interaction with them 😔 Controversial opinion, but my man deserves better than this, he deserves to be spending his time with people who actually respect him and enjoy his company, people who actually like him.

"Well, why hang on to information like this all these years if you didn't expect someone like us showing up? We want to solve this case." I love him so much 🥰 How much he cares about justice and doing what's right, he really is a hero 🥺 And promising the cop that they're going to solve the case, finish his work and get justice, it has me feeling Emotions™️ It was such a caring and reassuring gesture, but also such a noble thing to do ❤💌

That one strand that always manages to escape 😍🥰🥺❣

Just when I thought my "I want to be just like you when I grow up, Jenny Hoyt" feelings couldn't amplify, she shows up rocking that ear cuff 👌🏻

There weren't a lot of "character" moments in terms of interactions this episode, but Beau and Jenny deciding together wordlessly to go comfort the rest of the gang was so sweet, they're both so protective and empathetic and soft 🥺💕

And it's so funny to me that in that interrogation, Beau and Jenny really went "let's be bad cop, bad cop" 🤣 They're so in sync they're always both good cop or both bad cop, and the best part is, it works 💫✨🤣💅🏻👌🏻💯👑

A lot of duos are forming on the show, but you know Beau and Jenny have my heart 🥺 They work so well together, literally (and emotionally) have each other's backs, support each other and can still joke around, and the slow burn has me in my feels 💕 And, as always, their conversation and banter is the best, her reminding him that psychopaths can exist at any age 😥🤣

Literal faves 🤩 I'm going to get ragged on so hard for saying this, but 10/10, even if there wasn't a big mystery, I could just watch Beau and Jenny solving episode crimes all season long!

Donno tearing up talking to Tonya and talking about how he has something to lose for the first time in his life, they're so cute together, little criminal team 🥺

Lmao, not Denise milking that trauma to keep hugging Beau. Girl, I see what you're doing, hands off Jenny's man! Hashtag, it's the girl code 🤣

Man, the scene with the murdered teenager's dad was so heartbreaking 💔😭

"I'm going to call Beau." What, he's not a "manbaby" and "so sensitive", now that she needs something from him? 🙄😒 Carla needs to go away, seriously. I honestly just need the three McCallisters to leave Beau alone right now, all they do is demean and insult him when he's around, and then remember him when, and only when, they need something. And I guess Beau is not "overprotective" and the "worst" when Emily needs consoling over a murder (or just wants him around to have an insider on the investigation? Seems much more likely based on how she's treated him so far 😒)? What, Avery wasn't enough for that? 🙄 And people blaming Beau for Emily sticking her nose where she shouldn't, what are you guys doing? 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️ Beau investigating is not the same as her snooping, he's doing HIS JOB, she did not learn this (or her rudeness) from him. Anyway, we've seen how she treats him. You think she took after him in any way? She is not "just like her dad", she's the furthest thing from him. And unfortunately, I just know that we're going to also have Carla trying to blame Beau and his job for Emily's snooping, instead of taking a good look at her own parenting and Avery and his influence 🙄 Also, side note, you're telling me that Donno and Tonya were able to find out that there's something shady about Avery and his business in a matter of hours, and Carla, a woman who's lived with this guy for years, has no idea? I'm not buying that. Maybe she just doesn't care ☕ I don't think the writers mean to make Carla as condescending and mean and manipulative as they have, nor Emily as rude and selfish and annoying and unlikable as they have, but there it is. And there's a disconnect because we're supposed to be invested in their safety, because they're connected to Beau, but it's such a one-sided relationship, Emily never wants anything to do with Beau until she needs something from him, and Carla just wants to continue to put him down, every interaction that he has with either ends with him looking on the verge of tears. So it honestly has the opposite effect, I literally cannot find it in myself to stand them, let alone care about them. And they've been given absolutely zero traits to make them tolerable likeable as individuals, so there's nothing that makes me care about them gor themselves, and then when they treat Beau like trash, it makes me actively angry at them. So why am I supposed to care if something happens to either? Avery's an ass, but..... like, the narrative isn't trying to make us care about him, so it isn't an issue.

I'm not going to lie, I'm a little scared Cormac's going to walk into something he shouldn't and get deaded 😱

There's something seriously wrong with Buck, I know there's supposed to be some stress induced weird behaviour or what, but seems to me that he might decide sooner than later that he actually enjoys Sunny's unhingedness.

Walt and Paige going full unhinged killing team, it's interesting.

The Bleeding Heart Killer, I think the pieces are slowly starting to fall together, and I'm interested to see if it pans out like I think it's going to 🧐🔍
