My aunt is very sensitive to strong scents (buys my deodorant so that we know it won't harm her, because other than a couple brands, they give her migraines, we don't have scented candles, and I have a couple of perfumes, but I never wear them), so we're super careful there, but we also can't go into some stores because the perfume counter is Right There. When we go shopping, she knows to look for me in the candle aisle because I'll stand there sniffing each candle and giving a review to whoever is with me at the time

#sounds like we'd probably have good time sniffing candles together #answered #anonymous #yeah the perfume counter is a hell of it's own #I live in a relatively small city so I can only think of one single shop that has a dedicated perfume section #so at least those are easy for me to avoid personally #I used to hate perfumes because the only ones I ever had experiences with were the fruity floral candy smells marketed for women #and the obnoxious overbearing alpha man perfumes for men #there's a lot of variation and interesting combinations if you venture outside the highest selling most strongly gendered mainstream ones #I stubbornly kept testing various ones until I figured out what notes and types of scents I like #and I feel like I have established a pretty reliable pattern #but I understand it's not for everyone and I genuinely try my best to avoid offending people's noses #my favorite thing is to put some on in the evening after I've taken a shower but before I go to bed #just for myself to enjoy for a couple hours

Obi-Wan and Anakin's dynamic continues to hurt me in new ways every day and I'm just forced to go about my day as if I'm not in deep psychological pain over the idea that they could never really truly be able to connect in the ways either of them want simply because they're such different people at a fundamental level

here's what she looks like not in action, i had a lot of fun messing around with trying to make her look cool and also to incorporate the fact that for some reason most of gigalith's dex entries mention that it can shoot beams of energy after absorbing sunlight so... seethrough laser-y looking parts of her outfit? also goes with miku being a virtual entity...

Like Winx says that Valtor was made by the ancestral witches, he wasn't born, and he actively trashes against the control the ancestral witches have on him and they straight up help Bloom kill him for the kicks?? And it's like, just there? I love it but it's so easy to kill off Valtor bc he has control over his actions and he's an adult and you don't get to sit with these uncomfortable implications due to that. The tragedy has already happened, it's passed, you don't have to look at it. You know??? Not anymore, we all hurt forever

Can you imagine being Daphne??? Seeing Valtor hiding behind Belladonna's leg, this child. Can't be older than 11. Fighting your fellow Nymph's, and you can't even think about that, pay attention to that, because you need to fight Belladonna and protect your planet. This wasn't a priority, that child those evil women created wasn't a priority. How would you ever recover??

The company of light is made up of educators, people who dedicated their life to children. A stutter, a small child's eyes winding in panic. None of them could follow though. It was safer to kill him, he was made, he doesn't have a soul, it was the right option. They send him to the Omega dimension instead

He wakes up from the ice to see Belladonna's cold eyes staring back at him. She doesn't look the exact same but he knows that smile and he knows those eyes. He'd recognize his mother anywhere. He does what he's told for new Belladonna too, not that he knows why. Icy has plans, plans he's supposed to help out with

He clings to Bloom. Her magic feels like his, she's the only person who could begin to understand how he feels. She was chosen too, right? She gets it doesn't she? How could she not. He just wants someone, anyone to understand him, to help him. He couldn't tell you what he wants help with. The Ancestral Witches say he's loyal to them, and he's never been able to disagree with them before

He doesn't like the winx, he's never shared in his life and is loathed to start now. He plays tricks and schemes and never kills them. He mains, he disables, he distracts. This is fun. He's never had a true enemy, rival. The company of light wanted to defeat his mother's, these are his fights. It's fun, he wants to keep them

(You ever think about the amount of times Valtor could of straight up killed the winx or put his mark on them and he just kinda doesn't and then gives their romantic rivals a love potion??? Bc I do. That was weird and the entire reason this au exists. Like Valtor basically made the perfect opportunities for the winx to get their Enchantix by never directly trying to kill them. It's almost funny)

Valtor is completely incapable of free will but he does experience desires and he has the ability to think for himself. One of the winx asks him why he's doing all of this and he literally can't answer, he doesn't want to, he doesn't want to be here, but he does? That's why he's doing it, right? And the girlies get a front row seat to a child gaslighting themselves to cope with their inability to control their own actions

He wants to be powerful! The most powerful person in the dimension! Then he could do whatever he wants! Then he would be free! At least that's what he tells himself (he knows it's not true, but children are allowed to have their fantasies)

They could extinguish kill. He barely came up to Bloom's chest, and they could just extinguish him. If Bloom pulled at the fire element in his body and Aisha the water they could pull him apart. Making a soul sounded impossible and has never been done before but that's the only way to release the Ancestral Witches control on Valtor, so they'll do it

Lack of respect for service workers - Some may find it surprising seeing how rude Diluc is to the Knights of Favonius, but it’s true. Growing up on the winery, Diluc has seen firsthand the amount of work that goes into making wine and caring for the mansion. He understands the pride his workers put into their jobs. Not to mention his father raised him, not only to respect those under him, but to protect them as well. Is it really surprising then that he does not stand for those who harass his workers? thinking abt illumi always using hisoka's last name whenever they're outside mainly because the zoldyck name attracts too much attention and he doesnt want that but also because hearing illumi morow makes hisoka have multiple floaty hearts above his head and woozy for the rest of the day

illumi registers as "hisoka and illumi morow" in a restaurant and hisoka starts giggling and batting his eyelashes and follows illumi to the table with heart eyes while also floating behind him cartoon style

However, when Illumi hears "Hisoka Zoldyck" it triggers the most feral parts of his brain. His eyes grow so wide for a couple of seconds it completely betrays everything he'd just felt at that moment before composing himself. Hisoka obviously takes notice of that and is like. ohohohohoooo.

He uses it to tease Illumi while theyre alone ONCE. just ONCE. and illumi pounced on him like a predator. the quickest way hisoka learned that this was not just a reaction trigger word for illumi. it was an ACTION. he just has a godly amount of self control when theyre not alone.

Jlaire (or just Claire as a character, tbh) wouldn't be any be anywhere near as popular as it is if Claire was chubby like she is in the book.

Anyways, I love both book and show Claire with my entire heart, but I'm still kinda salty with how much they slimmed her down in the show

I need to think longer on individual regenerations. But. For the Master in general just….

Ungodly amounts of caffeine. Especially when he learns what to order. Like. A large uncut cold brew with x3 shots of espresso, no ice, and an unsettling amount of chai concentrate pumps. (Like, to the point where that shit must BURN. it’s spicy if you don’t mix it with anything.). No milk. Maybe an extra syrup. Cinnamon or toffee most likely. If there’s ice in the drink he chews it while he drinks it. It’s bitter and spicy and yet too sweet. There’s also a not-insignificant-amount of ginger juice in the chai concentrate, so I imagine it might give him at least a BIT of a buzz too. A bonus.

Extra Large Cold Brew, No Water, No Ice, 5 Blonde Espresso Shots, 20 Pumps Chai Concentrate, 10 Pumps Toffeenut Syrup. He can and will make you remake it if he’s in an even remotely bad mood. You know it’s a terrible no good horrible fucking dogshit day if he orders mocha syrup instead of toffeenut.

A large cup of whipped cream or cold foam on the side is not unheard of from the Master either. You’ll watch him drink both drinks separately. He won’t sit down, he won’t stay in the lobby long. Just enough to down his fucking concoctions and maybe hate on a barista who’s vibes he doesn’t like.

#I don’t think the Master is like. say. a Karen type.#I do however know he doesn’t give a shit. I’m #almost certain many baristas love him if he ever frequents a store for some reason. I think one of my favorite things about EXU Calamity is that it really enhances the vibe of modern day Exandria as post-apocalyptic - which, all D&D pulls on a little, it's a staple of fantasy, but beyond the ruins just the vibe that...the evil of the calamity never left.

Zerxus has never felt a fiendish presence before; everyone barely knows who the Betrayer Gods are and no one worships them. The only real major conflicts and fights we hear about are the looming threat of Aeor - against mortals, not monsters.

versus modern day Exandria where like. these forces are an ever present threat. that it's not just ruins and relics of an age long past that signals the apocalypse, but that the very world is still dangerous.
