Kiku & Tsuru in Okobore for post #914. This is just a still frame in Episode 959 as we see the scene with Tsuru back in Okobore. The subtitle should help place it. I like it though. Showing her thinking for a moment of Kiku being the happy poster girl. You know, I think the idea that month was incredibly healthy for Kiku in those circumstances is pretty rock solid. It changed her, and I feel that doubly so after checking out Bagdad Cafe. 

It’s subtle, but one of the most thoughtful things anyone’s done for her. The whole deal with Okobore for Kiku is that it was proper and sticking to the mission to be an average young woman. For such a short moment, it says so much about the caliber of woman Tsuru is to both ascertain that and resist the temptation to confirm her husband is alive.

Combined chapter 958 and 959. Good pacing. The beginning of Oden’s backstory next week, I think. Rayleigh was handsome (in the small flashback in this episode), and Buggy and Shanks cute. 

The stylised ocean while the samurai waited and seemed to be forsaken was amazing, of course, and the leaves falling from the maple trees, and the joy of the fire festival in the capital were all well done too. Zoro and Sanji and enma and Nami ❤️

Loved this exchange though. Robin is best.

And I like all the random shots and encounters there are with ninja and warriors disguised as komusou. Or komusou who are also ninja, warriors, ronin and so on.

Now I haven’t been harsh on One Piece’s animation since Wano started. In fact, I’ve been greatly celebratory of it, it looks great now! But this shot cracked me up.

At first I was gonna say “Notice that green kimono guy. He’s been copy-pasted 4 times!” But then I noticed a guy in a white kimono that’s been copy-pasted 4 times as well.

Then I noticed a red-blue couple who’s been copy-pasted 5 times! And then a green-brown couple who’s been copy-pasted 3 times. How many are copy-pasted???? Is Waldo in here somewhere?

K. Rool: That is a rude stereotype passed down by filthy land-walkers to demean us pirates. And while we’re on the subject, we don’t have scurvy! We practice good dental hygiene and get an abundant dose of vitamin C everyday!

Toon Link: Aside from the point. First thing you should know about pirates is that we don’t say “yo-ho” or any of that. I should know, I was on a boat with one. The last guy she heard saying that got beat up by the entire crew. 

K. Rool: Yes. What does “shiver me timbers” even mean? Who came up with that? I’ve been a pirate my whole life as a hobby and not once have I heard that term.

Toon Link: Now, to explain the next and most important segment, I brought my dear friend Tetra. 

Tetra: Thanks, Green. Anyway, to be a true pirate, you must be well versed in the Holy Texts and be able to sing the legendary song of Pirates. The Holy Texts tell the tale of the greatest pirate of all time and his crew.

Tetra: Monkey D. Luffy.

King K. Rool, fist over his heart and tears in his eyes: I’d follow that guy through 2 million chapters.

Tetra: You have to read the whole Holy Text from start to where it currently is right now, and watch the anime. All 959 episodes currently.

Toon Link: You can’t skip the OP either. 

King K. Rool: It doesn’t matter if you watch sub or dub. You could do both to brag about it.

Tetra: And lastly, you must be able to sing the Legendary Song. This must be memorized front to back, and burned into your memory. You can’t just know it, you gotta live it.

Tetra pulls out a jukebox and presses “Play”. Upbeat music begins playing.

Toon Link, Tetra, K. Rool: Come aboard, and bring along, all your hopes and dreams! Together we, will find the great thing that you’re looking for! One Piece!

Daisy, wearing a pirate outfit: Hey, we singing One Piece?! I love One Piece!

Pichu, wearing a Team Aqua bandana: Pichu Pi!

Wii Fit Trainer: I’m not afraid to admit I’m romantically attracted to Sanji!

Hey, King. About Hades’s eye patch, it isn’t super noticeable (took me few looks to notice when I read the chapter) but if you look closely you can see Hades has different two eye colors. By the laws of anime/manga, that usually means he’s probably got some dope ass eye power in that peeper. I’m thinking some form of death gaze or spirit summoning power.

I hadn't even noticed that. But yeah, I could see him maybe having some kind of eyes based power. Though since Adam's was already don't know if the author would repeat it. (It might be so drastically different it wouldn't matter so hey). Also, apparently he's going to fight against Qin Shi Huang

So this is gonna be a good one!

More Future AU Kids!

Wisteria Spiderbite, the eldest daughter of Slick and Bloom. Much like her father, she is a bit of a loose cannon, preferring to goof off and seek out a fun time rather than tend to her responsibilities as a royal. She is a flirty, fun, and excitable young woman who loves testing out her skills on the battlefield. Though not a titan, her biology and nymph abilities make her one of the most powerful young warriors in mewni. Though she loves combat, her healing abilities are unrivaled by anyone, save her younger sister Azalea. She has an interest in Dorado Butterfly, who she often tags along with on missions alongside Fum and Sandor. She is one of the only ones who could be considered a friend to Scent Johansen, and the two meet together and spar regularly.

Sandor Slayton, the son of Breeze and Wyot. Though a talented and incredibly capable young man, he is lazy and would prefer to blend into the background, only putting forth effort whenever his mother or princess Sagitta pushes him to. Because of his laziness and demeanor, people often question if he deserves his spot among the Zodiac’s ranks, and he is often challenged for his spot. But when serious his opponents quickly find out that his skills and abilities are nothing to be laughed at. His magical ability the “Primordial Eyes” didn’t seem to come from either of his parents, and are a mystery. And though powerful it comes with quite a backlash. With his friend Sagitta now going off to become a scissor enforcer with her grandmother Hekapoo, he is usually sent along with Dorado, Wisteria, and Fum on missions.

Finally got some pics of my next gen OC Olivier Agreste commissioned from @harchibudytgorichi! They came out awesome as usual! Him in his normal outfit, his volleyball uniform, and his outfit when he’d doing hero work as Yin Lang. Here’s a few others I got to go along with it!

Olivier going in to dig up a nasty spike. He might be an outside hitter, but he’s always trying to improve all of his skills as much as he can. And with receiving being one of (if not the most) important parts of the game, he’s always trying to be ready whenever the ball comes his way.
