Yaoyorozu Momo was born quirkless, and hides that secret under the guise of a power that is in truth granted by a fraction of a dead alien god.

Tokoyami Fumikage's companion is also alien in nature, it's true sentience and terrifying potential all consequence of his ancestors eating their own slice of a Cosmic One.

Both of these facts are actually mostly incidental to the story. If we stopped here, canon probably wouldn't even notice two of it's ensemble now have backstories revolving around a worldwide secret conspiracy to protect humanity and hide the fact we were once ruled by eldritch monsters.

But even though he's a baseline human who fled his God Hunter family and is determined to forever ignore all things Cosmic, if you add Aoyama Yuuga things begin to change.

despite Zoro & Sanji always bickering, you can tell they always look out for each other with Zoro immediately noticing & asking him "what's wrong?" ...yet he also comments about his eyebrows & saying Sanji owes him one now

Sanji hits back Queen's attack immediately to make sure he owes Zoro nothing again lmao

This here is what interested me the most... First was Sanji's thoughts about the possible effects of the raid suit on him, but now Queen comments thinking that Sanji's burning leg is part of Germa's technology augmentation since he's not Lunarian🧐 King immediately reacts to that comment so now know what species the flame people who lived above on the Red Line are called

So 1023 is by far one of many most interesting chapters since the beginning and middle way of wano

Zoro & Sanji facing off King & Queen but a minor hench was trying to interfere with their battle by aiming at Zoro but was saved by Kawamatsu

Marco starting to get all philosophy on us as usual and getting distracted by his own thoughts didn't see an attack coming his way

Him being saved by Izo could be me but I could've swear they sounded a bit like Zoro & Sanji with the bickering

Speaking of which Zoro being protective of Sanji is now canon and vise versa (I hope Sanji doesn't get a major side effect with using his suit I'm worried now 😬)
