Hey y'all, I am blanking on a word so hard I am even blanking on the words to describe that word What's the term for like...groups of colors? color palettes but more specific? I'm looking for the generic term, but the specific words that are versions of that generic I can think of are things like earth tones, jewel tones, pastels, and maybe brights/neons I'm trying to figure out other categories like those but I cannot figure out what the word is to search

I love DVD-RAM discs out of a place of nerdship, but this is unacceptable:

I’m so glad USB flash drives took off, instead. My heart goes out to all you people in Japan who grew up with these.

#to be fair #document files are tiny #and since these were competing with early flash drives and floppy disks #they should’ve served that purpose just fine #dvd-ram discs also half their read/write speeds because they verify every little thing they write #this disc in particular is a DVD-RAM1 disc #i think it’s a 3 or 4x speed disc #i have a DVD-RAM2 disc that supports 6-12x speeds #but they require special drives to read and write to #and they were only ever sold in Japan #so it’s basically just a pretty piece of ewaste I have now #for decoration #or collectors sake #idk #also also #i think my disc drive’s quiet mode interfere’s with its ability to write on dvd-ram discs very quickly and i forgot to turn it off #also also also #spinning disc storage mediums are usually better at transferring one large file instead of lots of small files #so this IS sorta a torture test for this poor thing

#I mean… at least I’m reading *something* and not going on my phone 24/7??? #(I was able to find a hard copy for a low price; and I bought it despite everything screaming in me not to #(both my parents know I bought it because I told them it’s one of my favorite books ever) #If they do end up reading the synopsis on Wikipedia — or the book itself — and decide it’s too worldly for me to have #they may be less inclined to destroy it because it’s a book about book burning; or (more hilariously) they may decide to destroy it #in which case I will whip out my crappy digital copy and read Beatty’s lecture at the end of part one to them; to hold it up as a mirror #I may also have a copy of the 2003 edition of 1984 coming in the mail along with two other books (so I can open it privately and say #“I bought these two books because they looked interesting” and they’ll believe me (if the package is ambiguous enough) #or if it isn’t ambiguous I can just find a book I have that they’ve never seen me read and “re-gift” it to myself) #because I feel I will work more efficiently with a real copy of 1984 in my hands… and it will serve as motivation for me to read it again #which will further my understanding of the novel and make my adaptation better #(not to mention the fact that the books were on sale for five dollars a piece) #but one of the other books’ synopses revolves around the fact that a man woke up “bandaged and being tended to by his wife” 👀👀 #and it seems like a “good” story in the eyes of the cult so uh #yeah #looking respectfully (in an ace way) #my book now #also: Anyone ever read the book Warp Speed by an author with the last name of Yee? Highly recommend #That one I already have (and I may read it again soon idk) but the third book I got reminds me of it in terms of the vibe of the premise #It’s about a kid who jokes all the time as a trauma response #something tells me I’ll relate to that LOL #I’m gonna have to sell a lot of my books because they just don’t interest me any longer (of course they don’t; I was nine #and I bought them at a book fair knowing full well I hated reading)) #I’ll keep Guitar Notes and Godzilla and Killer Species 1 and 2; but the rest can all go #OH MY GOD Infestation… that one’s excellent. Since reading Rob Roy, I’ve become really really fast at reading books in a standard English dialect

#It’s like how runners train with ankle weights for a year and then take the weights off once they get fast; then they can go *really* fast #It took me six months to read that book. It was very difficult and 100% worth it because it’s now one of my favorite literary pieces #It is such a fun read; 11/10 would recommend #And now I’m burning through books at a record speed (for me… this is probably a very average (or below average) speed for most readers) #(because I used to be inhumanly slow due to focus and attention issues; now it feels like I’m going inhumanly fast when I’m really not) #I genuinely think reading Rob Roy and getting into animation fixed half of my inattention issues #because they’re both incredibly tedious #they built up my tolerance for boredom and repetition so now I can do boring and repetitive things at work without wanting to die #I still can’t do boring and repetitive things at home because my brain said “fuck you” #and I haven’t animated in four months because of this (despite liking it) #idk maybe getting meds will fix the rest of me and I can become supercharged with executive functioning #I am in the testing process btw

There was always a rhythm to things. Just as the tides would ebb and flow, Bepo would nag, Law would wave it off, then hours later he would be doing the thing. Sena watched this with interest. Their dynamic was sweet. Whether they would admit it or not, they were family through and through. Sena felt the resentment deep within the throbbing puss filled wound that cratered her heart. It was nothing either of them could help, she knew that, so quiet she stayed.

The loneliness ached however. Something must have shown in her eyes from time to time because Law started pulling her to the side. He’d poke and prod her with gentle, calloused fingers. The rough skin pulling at her tender flesh. It was his way of draining the infection. Little by little his wrapt attention of her would bleed her out, cutting deeper each time. There was something cathartic about his hands on her, even if it was only clinical. She found herself craving his touch each time.

This time was no different, maybe even tinged with desperation, as he sat her down on a sterile white linen clad bed. Her body coiled with anticipation. Each shift sparking her to life.

“Lean forward for me and breathe” the smell of antiseptic was always clinging to him. It use to choke her and burn her senses. This time though, her breathing hitched as Law’s hot breath ghosted the crook of her neck. He was much closer than normal. This close he didn’t need his stethoscope to hear the way her breath caught and was shakily forced out. The cold metal that nipped at her flesh was warming. Electricity danced from her chest and down her arms.

Again his breath ghosted, hotter this time, over her neck causing a shiver as she held her breath again. “You have to breathe for me Sena.” Her ears pricked and cheeks rushed hot with a flush at his hoarse command. Tingles covered her skin where his fingers dug into the flesh of her exposed shoulder. A warm pool started in her abdomen. Her mouth watered as she ached for more. More pressure. More attention. More of him on her anyway he could be.

Her name on his lips was sinful. It snatched at her sanity as he said it again, this time a whisper at the shell of her ear. A shaky exhale turned into a whimpered, desperate moan. She shifted her thighs as her core dampened. White static exploded behind her clenched eyes when his hot, wet tongue laved over her exposed throat. She distantly wondered when she tilted her head to the side giving him open access to her.

Another breathy wimped slipped through her lips as he began to suck on her pulse. Marks. Oh to be marked by Law. Her skin was burning now as his teeth grazed and pricked at her tender exposed flesh. A particularly hard nip ripped a moan from her chest. Law was on her instantly clinging to her throat like a vampire as he sucked and bit a cascade of moans from her. His hands roamed the rest of her body, one finding its home tangled in her hair. The thought of him leaving lasting marks was enough to send her over the edge. As he trailed down her shoulder then chest, nipping and biting as he went, the sound of fabric ripping was distant as her legs wrapped around him desperate for friction.

Just when Sena was about to demand Law make her his a knocked sounded. The two froze. Sena’s hearted hammered in time with the throbbing between her legs. Her ears burned in embaressment and she was panting.

“Uh… captain. You’re needed upstairs.” Bepo’s voice cut through the air like a knife. Sena nearly whined as Law, controlled and stoic, pulled back from her and wiped his mouth.

“Be there in a moment.” Law’s fingers still dug into her arms, almost painfully, the only indication he was holding back. He turned scorching eyes on her with a sadistic smile twisting his lips.

“We’ll finish this when I get back.”

college student + boyfriend!suguru is more of an actions guy. he does say “i love you” after every kiss, wishes you good luck before your exam and texts you good morning and goodnight but—he was more of an actions guy.

more than often times you find yourself lying on his bed while he did his homework and it was just so quiet between you two with the occasional “look at what I sent you” from you as you scrolled through tiktok and sent him funny videos that you found. he would laugh or coo at them before placing his phone down and going back to doing his homework in silence while you faced away from him, curling into a comfortable ball on one of the mattress’ corners.

so when you get a notification that suguru sent you a tiktok and you open it—your lips part in shock and you’re quickly whipping your head back to stare at him while he rocks back and forth on his dark blue gamer chair, eyes glued to his screen. they flicker up your way and there’s a tiny smile on his face—flustered when you sit up with your hair everywhere and show him your phone as if to make sure he really sent you what he just sent you.

“us?” you read the caption out loud and he chuckles before throwing his head back as if to avoid your eyes. “and it’s an orange and black cat? babyyy,” the speed at which you get off the bed to give him a hug is anything but impressive and it makes your boyfriend chuckle as you struggle with the covers before finally landing near his foot.

you bring his face to your chest and squeeze him tightly before peppering kisses all over his face.

“baby, I’m ticklish—“ “well, you tickled my heart!” the way you hold your phone close to you with a big smile before rolling under the covers. the happiness, the giddiness and excitement.

suguru wishes to bring nothing but this much joy into your life.
