everyone's got a story

if you would have told me i'd wake up nearly five years later married, with child and sober, i would have thrown my jack and coke in your face.

today i'm sitting at a desk and recalling how it was i got here; remembering all those days that looked like this one: a rainy, glazed over morning. the difference is i'm not looking out the window through a cloud of bong smoke, smashing pills down my throat and taking a shot to try to quell the hangover from my one person party the night before.

anxiety stirs, my nostalgia gland contracts and i start a dance number of rushing thoughts in my mind. i've only found one way to counter it.

shake my head violent for a second and say aloud, "good thing that's never going to happen again".

that's been it, one day at a time, for about five years now. i remind myself that there's a tomorrow and just for today i'm gonna do some other thing for myself. one day at a time.

i feel my future daughter kick my innards. reality sets in. i pat a little morse love code back to her.

I realize in 6 days I turn 29. It’s going to be another year of crying on my birthday like I do every year. Because I do. That’s exactly what I do and I always know ahead of time like clock work even if I forget what day it is. I’m not sure why it happens. Perhaps Maybe it’s because you think your life was supposed to turn out so differently or you just feel like your a waste of life. Or just every year your birthday is NEVER something fun and exciting but always something thrown together and nothing of emotional or sentimental physical value, I’m not sure. 😑🥰🌍Today has been a day, I can honestly say the devil is a liar, unkay. THANK YOU UNIVERSE FOR THE LOVE AND SUPPORT. I AM glad I acted on the curiosity I had inside.

🥶Called the national grid to follow up on the payment I made from November 6th, they shared they never received it. I called western union, the account number does not exist. Western union asked me to go back where I initiated the transaction to pay the bill.

I go to the store, frustrated but with in mind; I did nothing wrong, I have a receipt so what is all the confusion, is beyond me.

I asked the teller if they can help me rectify this issue. Her name is Taylor, she is a whole earth angel. I appreciate your being Taylor for your patience and advocacy on my behalf. The devil is a liar. Western union told Taylor the same thing they told me, they couldn’t find the account number. She was even confused. An hour and 15 min later, waiting with a 3year old unkay.

In those moments I learned it does pay off when you enter confusing situations with:

*empathy, understanding, patience and a word box.

Not going into situations of who to blame and entitlement- it’s a no go.

🙏🏽THANK YOU UNIVERSE. When we grow in small steps it does lead to bigger change that can be conducive for everyone involved. Like imagine going into this belligerent, ignorant and mad. Like who would really want to support me then? Like how we respond does affect how we can get support.

🙏🏽Long story short, western union was not going to refund me anything without proof which had to be sent out again another drawn out process or Taylor gave me the option of a refund to put back into my account and pay my light bill again. i was refunded the 75$ and called over the phone this time to pay my light bill.

🙏🏽Can I say how grateful I AM for knowing to understand how energy works and how I can be an active participant for the better not for worse. And get this Taylor never had this happened before and me either.

🙏🏽In that moment we had something in common and gained something out of it for what to do if ever for the next time.

THANK YOU GOD/UNIVERSE/DIVINE, it all works out in the end. YOU ARE RIGHT.

Keep looking for the good when faced with challenges. Keep walking in love, vibrating higher. The tea today was a C.Y.P. And chat, unkay. The tests are very real. Video game level, we passed🙏🏽🥅🎟️🌍🛶💯🎯🎁✅🧠🥰
