Demoned Away and Demon Deceiving
In the chapter of Demoning Away, it’s about being ‘disappeared’ by the demon. To be missing. To be cursed. Unaware of the culprit, if there is one.
In the chapter of Deceiving Demon(s), it’s the deception of the audience, but of the characters as well. The curse strikes, but has it?
Who’s cursed if Tomitake and Takano are both missing. If Rika tries to intervene only to have it wrong?
Rena. What happened with her? She thinks she’s following the will of the curse, she thinks she’s involved. Did she come to that conclusion herself?
‘I have to protect my dad’ ‘I have to kill you and disappear’
Was her dad in danger in this arc?
Was this a branching route? If Rika hadn’t reached out to Keiichi, or if Keiichi did go over to Tomitake during Watanagashi, how much would the end results shift?
The difference in title alone has me wild with curiosity. The arc Onidamashi follows close enough to ends up veering differently. It’s not about someone falling to a ‘demon’ but by tricking through deception. Whoever the demons are, they’ve been had. Tricked. Led to a false sense of security only to have the rug pulled out from under them.
