Let's try to manifest a world where some of the biggest Korean actresses were cast in major full-length GL kdramas.
Tumblr media
COP + CRIMINAL
Esom (Because This Is My First Life) and Lee Da-hee (Search: WWW) play partners and besties, who both fall for their respective suspects for a crime spree against the patriarchy. (Think: Evening the pay gap at a major company; exposing scandals of sexist politicians; and chemically castrating sex offenders). Esom's love interest is Park Eun-bin (Extraordinary Attorney Woo), and Da-hee's love interest is Seo Yea-ji (It's Okay to Not Be Okay). It's a romantic crime thriller.
Tumblr media
FRIENDS to LOVERS
Seol In-ah (Business Proposal) plays a new-money rich girl who hires a former old-money rich girl, played by Yoo In-na (Touch Your Heart), to be her personal assistant out of pity, but pretends she doesn't know her backstory. And Yoo helps Seol navigate rich society. Their conflict is that Seol's family bankrupted Yoo's family, and is getting the life Yoo was supposed to have, including the fiancee, the job, and the house. It's a sweet romantic comedy.
Tumblr media
BOSS + EMPLOYEE
Kim Ji-won (Fight My Way) starts a job at a family law firm and works hard to get one of the partners, played by Son Ye-jin (Crash Landing on You), to be her mentor, but only because she wants her job. She starts off as a frenemie before Ye-Jin's hard edges rub off, and Ji-won develops a crush. Their obstacles are that Ye-Jin is married and in the closet, and Ji-won might be too ambitious to let go of her goals. It's a slow-burn romantic legal drama.
Tumblr media
COOL GIRL + DORK
Park Shin-hye (Heirs & Pinocchio) plays a cold fashion house designer who hires an unlikely candidate to be her muse, played by Moon Ga-young (True Beauty). And what starts off as a toxic relationship blooms into a supportive one. Park Bo-young (Strong Girl Bong-soon) plays her head of design, who befriends Ga-young's bestie-turned-manager, played by Kim Seul-gi (Oh My Ghostess). They're the softer side couple. It's a romantic workplace dramedy.
Tumblr media
FRIENDS to ENEMIES to LOVERS

They go to Jung-eum's hometown where everyone assumes she's bringing her girlfriend home for the first time, because she didn't have the heart to tell them she got dumped after running away to be with her. Min-a decides to pretend to be the woman to pay her back, and they fall in love. The conflict being when Jung-eum's ex, played by Park Min-young (What's Wrong with Secretary Kim), returns to get her back.

top 10 kdrama bromances to feed your empty heart
if you scroll through my page, you can already guess number 1.
#10 - our beloved summer : choi ung and kim ji ung
Tumblr media
beautiful beautiful men choi woo shik and kim sung cheol played ung bros for life in this beautiful beautiful drama. one of the best handled love triangles ive seen. they were there for each other through thick and thin, and helped each other through sm. best. on the tenth spot because they could've expanded on it more :(
#9 - what's wrong with secretary kim? : lee young joon and park yoo sik
Tumblr media
i could never make it through the series. i left it behind on ep9/10 i think, and primarily because i physically cannot digest how emotionless park min young is. BUT, kudos to the hilarious office best bromance by the great park seo joon and kang ki young. ps - why is kang ki young the pankaj tripathi of korean dramas?
#8 - strong girl do bong soon : ahn min hyuk and in gook du
Tumblr media
can we ever forget the legendary wink? or the dream where min hyuk is dressed as a woman? i think not. this was more of a frenemy type bromance, united by their love for bong soon and ironically divided by it, too. i refuse to acknowledge this as a love triangle tho. bong soon was astronomical in not hurting gook du and i will not take any criticism. is it a bromance if one of them is pretending to be gay? (and no, we will not discuss any sort of iTs pRoBLeMaTiC debates here.)
#7 - tale of the nine tailed : lee yeon and koo shin ju
Tumblr media
don't come at me with the lee rang comments. rang was his half brother, related by blood. their relationship was top tier, but the stay at home husband yeon and working husband shin ju was too cute to not be classified as a bromance. in the beginning, i saw their relationship as shin ju serving yeon, a dynamic that they both seemed to embody. but as the show progresses, yeon baby we know you love shin ju just as much :*
#6 - alchemy of souls : jang uk and seo yul
song joon ki seems to have an attachment to bromances. han seo had the best character arc of the ENTIRE kdrama universe fight me. that court scene where vincenzo pats han seo's cheek was max bro cuteness. still not over his death. he deserved better.
#5 - vincenzo : vincenzo cassano and jang han seo
Tumblr media
even though i didn't very much like the show's first couple, bromance delivered well. hospital scene peaked, complete true beauty sameness. it was pretty hard to understand who was the superior officer in this tbh initially, since their comraderie was so cool, shi jin was kid to soldier in a split second. loved how they chose not to unnecessarily exaggerate the love triangle initially bec i was only rooting for the second couple.
#4 - descendants of the sun : yoo shi jin and seo dae young
Tumblr media
business proposal was the first kdrama i saw. i finished it in a three day trip, and i remember thinking more about the bromance than the romance. i was NOT used to the clumsiness of kdramas in general, like wattpad fics incarnated. the bromance delivered well, made me root for the second couple, and was the only initial indicator of kang tae moo being human instead of archaeopteryx. that word was a nightmare to spell.
#3 - business proposal : kang tae moo and cha sung hoon
Tumblr media
the most wolfstar bromance if I ever saw one. and NO, i do not ship wolfstar just like i do not ship these two. they are totally adorable, and specially since their personalities seemed to switch from when they were children. yeong turned all serious face and lee gon got fun. love their years of friendship sm, their wordless communication and yeong in general. the acting was amazing.
#2 - the king - eternal monarch : lee gon and jo yeong
Tumblr media
#1 - guardian - the lonely and great god : kim shin aka goblin and wang yeo aka grim reaper
Tumblr media
yes, i know I'm missing a lot of iconic ones. unfortunately, i haven't seen alot of kdramas and have left alot in bw (like true beauty bec i couldn't see second lead hurt).
spring onion slays ^
told ya, if u follow me u already knew what the first one was gonna be. being the simp i am for the goblin and grim reaper, these two achieved the max points for their bromance. that slow dynamic of goblin calling reaper's hat tacky to fighting with knives to that iconic 'saranghae' to 'HOW DARE YOU' to goblin boiling eggs with his powers while reaper chills the beer. they know each other so well. love love love them and you should too 🔪
Tumblr media
in my heart, the trio of our boys beats nothing (except for the gookdu-minhyuk relationship of the crown prince and uk). but instead of choosing the frenemy thing, i decided to love yul and uk more. yul was such a quiet character, with incredible potential in him for me to hate him, but then...(the guy is literally too sweet and beautiful and nice i can ramble for days). and uk, man, our power baby who loves every version of our beautiful but slow girl, needed so much emotional support. uk and yul were not afraid to show their affection for each other, a trait i admired in all the three boys (jang uk, seo yul and park dang gu).

TV Recommendation: Business Proposal
Tumblr media
Kang Tae-Moo is focused on one thing and one thing only: Work. He is the President of a company that specializes in packaged, heat-and-eat meals and has been abroad working on bringing Korean cuisine to other nations.
Mainly to avoid his smothering grandfather, CEO Kang Da-Koo, who is obsessed with his grandson marrying and settling down.
Jin Young-Seo, meanwhile, is a wealthy heiress with much the same problem: her father obsessively sends her on blind dates, though she has no desire to marry for money or business acumen, but to marry someone she loves.
Enter Shin Ha-Ri. Ha-Ri is a brilliant food researcher who exists buried under a mountain of her parent’s debt that she is struggling to pay off. She is also Jin Young-Seo’s lifelong friend, and poses as her to bomb those blind dates in ways so epic that the wealthy, eligible bachelors of Korea will stay the hell away.
Pretending to be possessed, pretending to be a hooker, there really is nothing Ha-Ri hasn’t done to chase away a man, all in the name of a good laugh with her best friend.
But when she arrives to bomb Jin Young-Seo’s latest blind date she comes face to face with Kang Tae-Moo... Her boss.
If Tae-Moo realizes just who Ha-Ri is, she could lose her dream job in retaliation. While she tries to play along as Young-Seo as long as she can, there is an extreme problem:
Tae-Moo *hates* having his schedule screwed with for the sake of endless blind dates. He pops the question to Ha-Ri almost instantly, and then finds out... well, not who she is, but that she certainly isn’t Jin Young-Seo.
Young-Seo is forced to out her best friend as the real person Tae-Moo went on two catastrophic dates with. Ha-Ri gives him a fake name, but he makes her agree to pose as a fake girlfriend, just to get his grandfather off his back. In return, he will pay her $1,600 per date.
As Tae-Moo and Ha-Ri begin to develop feelings for one another, her lies will crumble and risk jeopardizing her career. Meanwhile, Jin Young-Seo has found her prince charming at last:
Tae-Moo’s secretary and brother, Cha Sung-Hoon, who is mad at Young-Seo for her deception against his best friend.
Kang Tae-Moo and Shin Ha-Ri have met their match in one another, and Jin Young-Seo has finally found her prince charming in Cha Sung-Hoon... if she can get him to speak to her.

Series Recommendation when you don't know what to watch.
I’ve watched so many k-drama series but this recent ongoing K-drama series, “Business Proposal” hits different. I’ve picked it up because of Kim Sejeong. She has many kdrama series but this show is just, it’s really good. It is a wholesome Korean drama series.
Tumblr media
The series is based on a webtoon. shin Hari goes on a blind date in place of her friend, Jin Young-seo, whose father had arranged it. Young-seo does not want to attend and asked shin Ha-ri to go instead with the goal of having shin Hari 'getting rejected' by her friend's blind date partner. However, the plans did not go as they planned it, when the blind date partner turns out to be Kang Tae-moo, the CEO of the company where shin Ha-ri works. Tae-moo decides to marry his blind date partner without knowing she is fake Jin Young-seo or that she is his employee, which she tries so hard to hide. But then kang tae moo fell in love with shin hari as time goes by. Young seo who is suppose to be end up with kang tae moo fell in love with his secretary Cha sung hoon who is now engaged in the recent episode.
Well, the series is not only about being in love with her employee, it is also about a strong bond of friendship. A friend ship we didn’t know that will exist. There are some scene that is a living meme in every episode.
Tumblr media
This is a spoiler alert to those who aren’t watching the business proposal yet. Well, I got to say my favorite episode was episode 10 because of shin hari. She took kang tae moo on a date but then it rained, she knew that tae moo was afraid because when he was young his parents died in a car crash while raining. She took kang tae moo everywhere til’ the rains stop. She took care and understands kang tae moo situation. SHIN HARI BEST GIRL!!! But then at the very end of the episode, the grandfather of kang tae moo found out the true situation of them. That they are faking their relationship back then and then called shin hari to clarify things and kang do goo wants to end their what so-called relationship.
What I love about this show is that the episodes are long but fun to watch and it is a perfect binge-watch series on Netflix when you don’t know what to watch. You can really tell that this show targets teenagers that really want to watch a wholesome show. I’ve got to say that the cast really did good in portraying the characters in this webtoon book.
I am recommending this k-drama series to those people who don’t know what to watch yet. Watch it when it is not an ongoing series because you don’t want to be hung up waiting. The last episode will come out tomorrow I guess cause Netflix said April 5, I think in American date. You will enjoy this and you will not get over this series.

K-dramas have a theme for about anything a viewer is looking for. There are suspense, dramas, thrillers, and highly popular love stories. Some may not want to admit it, but love stories involving falling in love with the boss is a guilty pleasure.
RELATED: 10 Best Time Travel K-Dramas, Ranked (According To IMDb)
Maybe it involves the shy new girl who catches the eye of the handsome and rich CEO. In some cases, the power play is reversed. Regardless, K-dramas have a way of hooking in audiences with their dynamic storylines. If looking for some new K-dramas to add to your roster of must-watch, look no further. Here's a list to get you started.
Updated on April 22nd, 2021, by Gabriela Silva: There's a storyline for every K-drama fan to enjoy from thrillers and the supernatural to unique romances. To add a level of intrigue to a love story what better way than to center it around the blossoming love of a worker and their boss. K-dramas are no stranger to the storyline theme and are quite popular. It's a fairytale story that fans wish happened in real life.
15 Oh My Ghost (2015)
Tumblr media
Oh My Ghost is one of the most recognized supernatural dramas. It focuses on three main characters and the main love story is between a young woman and her boss who's a famous chef. There's a catch. Na Bong-Sun (Park Bo-Young) is shy and timid and has a huge crush on her boss. She can also see spirits.

14 Radiant Office (2017)
Tumblr media
The 2017 drama, Radiant Office has multiple elements that make it a fun boss-employee storyline. Eun Ho-Won (Go Ah-Sung) is down on her luck looking for work and attempts suicide. At the hospital, she learns she terminally ill but succeeds at landing a job.

13 Protect The Boss (2011)
Tumblr media
This K-drama doesn't have the typical boss characteristics seen in other shows. Protect the Boss centers around Cha Ji-Heon (Ji Sung), a childish director at DN Group. He soon meets his match in his new secretary, Noh Eun-Seol (Choi Kang-Hee).
Eun-Seol is determined to not lose her first professional job and gives it her all. Her kind and spunky demeanor start to attract Ji-Heon. That's not all, the drama has a love triangle between Ji-Heon and his rival and cousin, Cha MuWwon (Kim Jae-Joong).
12 Master's Sun (2013)
Tumblr media
Master's Sun is another K-drama with a supernatural base. Tae Kong-Shil (Gong Hyo-Jin) gains the ability to see ghosts after a bizarre accident. Her abilities leave her unable to keep a solid job. Kong-Shil works as a cleaning lady at Kingdom's, a conglomerate company, shopping mall.

Jwa Yoon-Yi (Baek Jin-Hee) is a devoted and diligent secretary whose put on hold when her boss's wife accuses her of having an affair with her husband.
On the other end, Nam Chi-Won (Daniel Choi) is assigned to be the managing director at Yoon-Yi's company. Yoon-Yi becomes his secretary. After Yoon-Yi gets drunk at a dinner party, Chi-Won takes her home and realizes she lives in the place where his trauma originated. Seeing the 'tenant wanted' sign on her door, he becomes her neighbor to overcome his past.
10 My Secret Romance (2017)
Tumblr media
What happens when you meet your one-night stand three years later? To make matters worse he happens to be your new boss. Lee Yoo-Mi (Song Ji-Eun) is insecure about herself but has to attend her mother's weddings. She meets Cha Jin-Wook (Sung Hoon). They're less than cordial with one another but soon start to feel an attraction and spend the night.
Yoo-mi is unaware of who he really is and flees the following morning. Years later she is hired to be his nutritionist. Jin-Wook changed his ways after that night and takes over his father's company and never forgot Yoo-mi. He tries to romance her and get to admit her feelings for him. Interwoven is a storyline involving Yoo-mi's baby brother that is blown out of proportion on who the father is.
9 Rich Man (2018)
Tumblr media
Rich Man might also be known for its original Japanese television drama version, Rich Man, Poor Woman. The K-drama was a 2018 remake that did well on television. The show takes an interesting route with the main male character. The CEO of a popular IT company has a facial recognition disability.
This has caused him the inability to recognize his first love. At an employee recruitment meeting, he picks on a particular girl with photogenic memory. She stands up to the mean CEO and says something that catches his interest. She ends up working for the company and helping the CEO.
8 Strong Girl Bong-soon (2017)
Tumblr media
Strong Girl Bong-Soon is a highly popular K-drama and has a lot of the same characteristics of an employee falling in love with their boss. A young girl is born with unexplainable superhuman strength. It's more of a family trait. This leads to an intriguing storyline.
After beating up some bullies, she is hired by a rich CEO of a gaming company. While having a crush on her friend, she starts to realize who she really has feelings for. All while protecting her CEO from a possible threat and kidnapper.
7 My Shy Boss (2017)
Tumblr media
Sometimes opposites attract in the most bizarre way possible. My Shy Boss or Introverted Boss follows the tumultuous relationship between a CEO and his new employee. The CEO of a public relations firm is the exact opposite of what one expects.
RELATED: 10 Best K-Drama “Second Lead” Couples That Every Fan Rooted For

6 Lucky Romance (2016)
Tumblr media
Audiences will surely have a good laugh with this K-drama with its peculiar antics. In Lucky Romance, a 26-year-old attractive woman is highly superstitious believing she was born unlucky. She follows every precaution possible and consults a shaman about her sister. The only way to save her? She has to sleep with a man born in the year of the tiger.
She soon meets a CEO and genius game developer. Who happens to fit her criteria. Their personalities clash, but Shim Bo-Nui (Hwang Jung-Eum) is determined to see save her sister even if it means wooing her boss.
5 Level Up (2019)
Tumblr media
Level Up follows a lot of the typical boss-employee storyline details; mixed in with some drama. This CEO specializes in helping reconstruct failing companies. He takes on a company called Joybuster despite his previous childhood trauma with gaming.
As the new CEO of the company, he soon meets its head designer. A passionate and sweet young woman clashes heads with a cold and meticulous boss. Will they put their differences aside and complete their new game and maybe fall in love?
4  Hotel Del Luna (2019)
Tumblr media
Hotel Del Luna is a fan favorite amongst K-dramas. It mixes the supernatural with some dramatic romance. Jang Man-Wol (Lee Ji-Eun) is moody and bad-tempered for having to run Hotel Del Luna for the past thousands of years. She must atone for her indiscretions and change her attitude.
The hotel is only visible to souls, ghosts, and humans at special times of the year. Things heat up when the hotel gets a new general manager due to a contract signed by his father. Gu Chan-sung (Yeo Jin-goo) is a stoic MBA graduate who has to confront his fear of ghosts. He soon changes his demeanor and helps melt Man-Wol's heart and keep her safe.
3 She Was Pretty (2015)
Tumblr media
She Was Pretty is a fun roller coaster ride for anyone who watches. Fans of Parasite will recall the lead actor in this drama.  Two childhood friends grow up on the opposite ends of the spectrum for both success and looks. Kim Hye-jin (Hwang Jung-Eum) ended up having her father's red cheeks and frizzy hair, while Ji Sung-Joon (Park Seo-Joon) becomes a strikingly handsome man.
RELATED: 10 K-Dramas With A Vampire Storyline, Ranked (According To IMDb)
They decide to reconnect but Hye-jin backs out seeing how much they've changed. Instead, he mistakes her best friend for her creating a fake love story. Sung-Joon then becomes her boss at her magazine company unaware of who she really is. Will Sung-Joon recognize his first love and fall head over heels? Or will her co-worker woo her away?
2 What's Wrong With Secretary Kim (2018)
Tumblr media
What's Wrong With Secretary Kim is at the top of the list and regarded as one of the best romance K-dramas when it comes to the employee-boss dynamic. Kim Mi-so (Park Min-young) has been Lee Young-Joon's (Park Seo-Joon) right-hand woman for years as his secretary. Her announcement of resignation doesn't sit well with her cold and professional boss.
He then starts to see her in a different light beyond the professional. There's jealousy, romantic gestures, and changing of heart in his drama. Not to mention there are some steamy kissing scenes. Young-Joon will do whatever he can to keep Mi-so in his life.

My favorite ships from kdramas - appreciation post (part 2)
I have no idea if you've been waiting for that but I described the last list as part one, so I guess I should make another one. So today is The day. BTS plays in the background, list is ready, I have exam in two days but who cares, let's go!
1. What’s wrong with secretary Kim? - Kim Mi So & Lee Young-Joon
Tumblr media
Let’s be honest. We have Park Min-Young and Park Seo-Joon. It had to work. They had to had crazy-like chemistry, it was meant to be. Whenever there was a kiss I’ve been worried my computer will set himself on fire bc all this hotness. Iconic comedy, iconic character of Park Seo-Joon, iconic romance. Also can we all agree that Park Min-Young have like the best luck when it comes to screen partners? Shit, girl. You must have saved thousands of people’s lives in your past life.
2. While you were sleeping - Nam Hoong-Joo & Jung Jae-Chan
Tumblr media
Second Male Lead Syndrome hit hard with this one. But still not hard enough to stop me from gushing over the Nam Hoong-Joo and Jung Jae-Chan cuteness. I mean, c’mon. Suzy is motherfucker queen and Lee Jong-Suk is so pretty it makes my eyes hurt. Plus I adore that they were just so idk normal? Not perfect like most of the kdrama’s couples. She has growing hair leg, and he can be gross sometimes. SO WHAT?! Welcome to the real world. They loved each other anyway.
3. Innocent man/Nice Guy - Seo Eun-Gi & Kang Ma-Roo
Tumblr media
Man, between all this fluffy couples this one is kinda dark. But that's exactly what I loved about them. She was a bitch, especially at the beginning. He was a the dickest dick in the whole Dickland, Mayor of Dickville. Two sinners, bad, broken and selfish. Raw. Different. Flawed. They were hurting, they've been hurt. The ending of the drama was meh for me but this couple stands strong. And you know that Song Joong-Ki is the only one for me. He just makes me so happy whenever he's on the screen.
4. Touch your heart - Oh Jin-Shim & Kwon Jung-Rok
Tumblr media
They proved love exists in Goblin and now they did it again. Firstly: Oh Jin-Shim is one of my favorite female characters ever. She's just so cheerful and inspirational. I watched this drama when my life was kinda shit, but after watching her journey back to the top I felt great, like I could do anything. Secondly: Kwon Jung-Rok is the cutest idiot ever. He's so charming with this awkwardness of his. And together they create this cute, healthy kind of relationship I stan so much. LOVE THEM.
5. Her private life - Sung Deok-Mi & Ryan Gold
Tumblr media
So like I said before I'm pretty sure that Park Min-Young could create great chemistry even with a plain chair. But holy shit, in Her Private life we're getting whole Mendeleev's table. The story is pretty simple, there's no incredible groundbreaking plot, but Kim Jae-Wook is so hot and works so amazing with Park Min-Young that I didn't even care for the plot. I just wanted to look at him as long as I could. Also, Ryan Gold is perfect boyfriend. I want him for next Christmas.
6. Angel's last mission: love - Lee Yeon-Seo & Dan
Tumblr media
Omg, I shed so many tears on this one. Being completely honest I wasn’t huge fan of Lee Yeon-Seo at the beginning, she was really annoying for me. But Dan, my baby L, was such a cutie I decided to watch it despite of female character and boy, I am so happy I did that. It was truly touching, sad but beautiful story. And mains are just two puppies, so in love with each other, that you have this sudden desire to leave kdrama’s world, go outside, meet someone and being as cute as Yeon-Seo and Dan. Fortunately, this desire passes very quickly. I have another episode to watch, you know?
7. Cheer up! Sassy go go - Kang Yeon-Doo & Kim Yeol
Tumblr media
I know most of you have a very strong Second Man Lead Syndrome when it comes to Sassy Go Go. And let me just tell you: I would die for Seo Ha-Joon. Ji Soo is one of my favs and he did such a breathtaking job in this drama. When I started watching it, I've actually been thinking I would be suffering, bc after watching few videos on YouTube I knew that SMLS is strong with this one. I wanted to ship him with Kang Yeon-Doo. And partly I do, I am. BUT DAMN. KIM YEOL. Like I said, I was prepared for loving Seo Ha-Joon. I was rooting for him even before watching. But then that one scene happened and that was it. I was done. You know which one I'm talking about. "One, you move away first. Two, I move away first. Three, since we're in this position anyway, we do it". It made my heart beat faster and since that moment I was sold.
Btw that plot line with parents was totally unnecessary. Why, writers? Why?
8. Because this is my first life - Joon Ji-Ho & Nam Se-Hee
Tumblr media
This drama is so important for me, you have no idea. I just felt it to the core of my being. And no, I didn't married my hot landlord although i'm not opposed that idea but it's just freaking incredible story about growing up, learning how to do this whole adult-shit, being your own person, being someone's person and finally about finding yourself. GOD, IT WAS SO GOOD. And main couple! UGH. My babies! I know I named Kwon Jung-Rok from Touch Your Heart the cutest idiot ever but in that moment I guess I had to forget about Nam Se-Hee, bc he wins that category. But he was also understanding and respectful and patient and just...kind. Just simply kind but somehow that is everything. Plus I love Kitty. It's the prettiest cat ever.
9. Extraordinary you - Eun Dan-Oh & Haru
Tumblr media
The latest drama I watched and holy guacamole, I loved it so much. And even though I love Baek Kyung with my whole heart I don't even know why because he's an asshole, I just have to admit that Haru and Eun Dan Oh are freaking perfect for each other. THE WAY HE RESPECTED HER. Damn, that's some valuable shit right here. Watch and learn, boys. WATCH. AND. LEARN.
10. Encounter/boyfriend - Cha Soo-Hyun & Kim Jin-Hyuk
Tumblr media
The last but not least. Actually, it’s my fav couple on this list. Noone is able to dethrone Kang Mo-yeon & Yoo Shi-jin from DOTS from being my fav ultimate, but damn I must say Soo-Hyun and Jin-Hyuk were really close to do that. I fell in love with them since the first scene and now, long after watching it, I still think about them everyday. I’m not even joking. Where you can find a man who’ll take cute photos of you and dance salsa with you on Cuba? With whom You could talk about poetry and art? And who will be as cute as Park Bo-Gum? Any ideas? I’m not asking for friend, I’m asking for myself.

My Five Favorite Romantic K-Dramas (by a newbie)
I admit, I used to ~dislike~ Korean Dramas not just because it is too mainstream, but also each episode of every dramas run for at least an hour, and as someone who has a short attention span, I was totally not for it. I, too, did not expect that the Korean drama wave would affect me so much that I won't sleep until my question about an episode of the drama I was watching has been answered. As someone who has always been a fan of all things romance, these five k-dramas made me love the genre even more. *SPOILERS AHEAD*
1. WHAT'S WRONG WITH SECRETARY KIM (2018)
Tumblr media
Plot:
This tells the story of a *really* handsome but self centered and narcissistic bujangnim - Vice Chairman Lee Young Joon (Park Seo Joon) who fell in love with his nine-year secretary Kim Mi So (Park Min Young) while stopping her from resigning.
What I like about this Drama:
- Its light ~aura~ (and Young Joon's Aura, of course). It is a feel good drama and is the best one to make your heart flutter. Young Joon is just super boyfriend material as he falls for Mi So everyday. I also like the fact that there are no antagonists and not much problems and obstacles were shown.
- THEIR CHEMISTRY. I honestly loved the chemistry between the two leads and I LOVED every scenes they have together, especially the ones in his office and in his house :P
- The supporting characters. Unlike other dramas who have an *official* second lead couples, this k drama also offers not one but two side couples who also started to find romance at the same time as the main leads. Secretary Yang's confession to Manager Bong is one of the most iconic confessions in k drama land, i must say.
- The office setting! This drama made me love workplace dramas because it also shows that you always start from the ground, especially in Miso's case.
- Its kilig factor. This drama loves to play with my heart as it keeps on pounding everytime Young Joon makes Mi So feel his love and vice versa. They portray a healthy, understanding and a lowkey relationship that is definitely relationship goals.
Favorite Scene/s:
- Young Joon's Proposal to Mi So. From the caramel bars to the song he prepared for her, I must say it is by far the best marriage proposal I have seen in a k drama. It is a heartfelt proposal that will make you fall in love as well!
- When Young Joon was drunk after drinking with Mi So's dad but managed to express how much he loves her. I cannot count how many times I rewatched this scene, you would also feel his sincerity even if he is drunk, but his drunkenness made him express how much she loves Mi So and that he is ready to spend the rest of his life with her.
- *Every Kissing Scenes* It was so sweet and gentle. How. Could. You. Not. Love. It. Especially their first kiss!!
- The first time Young Joon said I love you. It was when he was teasing Mi So about their *unfinished business*, he went from spicy to sweet when Mi So got annoyed with him for being such a ~bulldozer~ but he stopped by saying ~saranghaeyo~ instead.
- All of their scenes when they are already dating, actually.
2. ENCOUNTER (2018 - 2019)
Tumblr media
Plot:
A Hotel CEO and Divorcee, Cha Soo Hyun (Song Hye Kyo) spends a day with a free spirited and ambitious guy, Kim Jin Hyuk (Park Bo Gum) in a business trip in Cuba who turns out to be a newly hired employee in her hotel in Korea. Their fateful encounter turned out to be an encounter of a lifetime.
What I like about this drama:
- Its heart fluttering moments. This drama is also the best in making my heart flutter. My heart beats everytime Jin Hyuk stands up for Soo Hyun whenever the kontrabidas in her life try to bring her down and whenever he expresses how much he loves her.
- The modern ~fairytale~ theme. Rich Girl falls inlove with a Poor Guy. Typical, right? But the fact that they fought for each other even if they have a different status in life,  their love prevailed no matter how circumstances try to break them apart and they were willing to step to each other's world and leave everything behind is a magic we don't usually see in most fairytales.
- KIM. JIN. HYUK. The best boyfriend, ever. He has the most swoon worthy lines that you'd wish you'd hear from your siginificant other too (and make you want to have one). Not just that, he pursued Soo Hyun no matter what and gave no shit to the people who tell them they are from different worlds and must not be together, instead, he went on to take a step forward towards "the world she lives alone."
- The fact that Soo Hyun learned and eventually took control of her own life and stood firm on her own decisions when Kim Jun Hyuk came into his life just goes to show that she loves Jin Hyuk as much as he loves her. She also became stronger and learned to fight for what she wants!
- The Pilot Episode. It is undoubtedly my favorite pilot episode out of all the dramas Ive watched. It is a great introduction to the drama and it was just so magical, from the cinematography and emphasis on how important Cuba is on their love story.
- Park Bo Gum. He did great in portraying Kim Jin Hyuk, his acting is so convincing that you'd want him as your namjachinggu too. Not to mention that he makes what is  supposed to be a sad scene only to a tearjerking one because of his crying face.
Favorite Scene/s:
- When Soo Hyun fearlessly announced that he and Jin Hyuk are in a Pre-Relationship stage.
- All their scenes together in Cuba. Especially when Soo Hyun found the letter Jin Hyuk left for him in the coffee shop and when they came back to the place they first met.
- The scene when they both agreed to be in a pre-relationship stage after he saw Soo Hyun in the museum they've been going too.
- That scene where Jin Hyuk told Soo Hyun she cant live without her anymore because "that would be impossible." I shed tears everytime I re-watch this scene, it was just so sincere.
- When Jin Hyuk attended the Masquerade ball he organized, much to Soo Hyun's surprise. *It is where they had their first kiss*
- When they had a date in a park where Jin Hyuk gave Soo Hyun a couple ring.
3. WEIGHTLIFTING FAIRY KIM BOK JOO (2016 - 2017)
Tumblr media
Plot: Weightlifter Kim Bok Joo (Lee Sung Kyung) cross paths with his childhood friend, Jung Jun Hyung (Nam Joo Hyuk), who is a swimmer in the university she attends to. Together, they discover what it is to love and to be loved and to face victories and failures.   What I like about the drama: - The theme. I liked how it relied and revolved heavily on the sports theme and how important it was to their story. The fact that Jun Hyung does not always win in his competitions and Si Ho, who was once the best gymnast in their university but is not anymore is realistic, because we don't always win and succeed everytime, and its okay. - The lessons. The best thing this drama has taught me is its okay to take a break and even quit from the thing you were passionate about. There came a time when Bok Joo felt discouraged from everything that she had to take a break from weightlifting and started to do things she always wanted to do. - The Main leads. I could not have asked for a better casting. LSK fits Bok Joo perfectly and NJH is perfect for Jun Hyung. They have a pleasing and satisfying chemistry that you'd wish to see them work together (and date) again. - Its cute and light vibes. I am totally so into dramas with no antagonists and no stressful scenes. It is definitely what you need after watching a heavy drama. - Their love for each other. It was just so pure and healthy. Jun Hyung thought things over and made sure she is really in love with Bok Joo before confessing and waited till she felt the same way and same goes to Bok Joo who did not give false hopes to Jun Hyung and eventually realized that he makes her heart flutter too. They are relationship goals and make you want to find a boyfriend / girlfriend ASAP. - Their friendship. They were always there for each other, through thick and thin! Favorite Scene/s: - The protesting scene. When their coach got fired for using their department's fund for a student in need, Bok Joo felt the need for their voices to be heard, so they held a protest against the university's decision and also went on a hunger strike. Eventually, they were heard and got their coach back. - When they became official. It was one of the cutest becoming official scenes in kdramas i have watched, it was so real. - Their graduation. Especially when Jun Hyung was so sure of Bok Joo that he told her he will marry her when he makes it through the national team and wins a gold medal. - When Jun Hyung and Bok Joo talked things over in their dorm's lobby when she got Jealous of Si Ho, Jun Hyung had to calm her down and explain why he was like that. - When they went clubbing, specifically when they were on the dancefloor, their dance moves were SO hilarious. - All their scenes at the fish pond! - Actually, all of their scenes together.
4. CRASH LANDING ON YOU (2019 - 2020)
Tumblr media
Plot: A South Korean chaebol, Yoon Se Ri (Son Ye Jin) crash lands into the North Korean DMZ, specifically into the arms of soldier Captain Ri Jeong Hyeok (Hyun Bin) after a paragliding accident. What I like about the drama: - Their meet cute. You would tell that their *first* meeting was a fresh concept and was unique. - The way it portrayed destiny. Out of all the k dramas that wanted to show how destined the main couples are, this drama is definitely on the top. It surely made every viewers believe in destiny. They were so destined for each other that it made you want to crash land(i) on someone too. - The filming locations. As a newbie, what makes me like a K Drama are the filming spots. And CLOY, being the extra drama that it always has been, surely never fails. The locations were not just for a beautiful backdrop but it really played important roles in their love story, especially in Switzerland. But as a foodie, my favorite would have to be the chicken and beer shop in Seoul that Se Ri, Jeong Hyeok and the comrades frequent. Favorite Scene/s: - All of their *meetings* in Switzerland. (Yup, and THAT meeting too ❤️) - Jeong Hyeok and Se Ri's inuman session, especially when Jeong Hyeok said he wants to marry Se Ri in Seoul and have twins with her and that he wants to see her have gray hair. I mean, how can you not love that scene. 😩 - Okay, this one is heartbreaking, but i liked it because it is. When Se Ri said Saranghaeyo to Jeong Hyeok for the first time, but what supposed to be a sweet scene turned into a heartbreaking one when Jeong Hyeok heard a gun shot right after she said those words. - When Jeong Hyeok gave Se Ri couple rings on her birthday. - The moment they met again in South Korea. - All of their scenes together in Jeong Hyeok's parents house, especially when they found out they actually met each other before in Switzerland.
5. SUSPICIOUS PARTNER (2017)
Tumblr media
Plot: A prosecutor trainee turned lawyer, Eun Bong Hee (Nam Ji Hyun) was arrested for the murder of his ex boyfriend but was acquitted by his former senior, prosecutor turned lawyer No Ji Wook (Ji Chang Wook) because of lack of evidence. They teamed up to solve more cases and to find answers as well as eventually finding love along the way. What I like about the drama: - The humor. I super loved this drama's comedic side. It is definitely not your typical romcom as it also focuses on the legal and crime aspect of the story. I remember how I laughed out loud everytime Ji Wook loses his chill during their chaotic meetings or whenever Bong Hee is being Bong Hee. - Their Chemistry. What makes a drama loveable, is of course, the main leads' chemistry, and theirs is God Tier. IRL, they have a 9 year age gap but you really wont notice it in the drama since they both balance out each other, Chang Wook has that childish side even if he is older, and Ji Hyun has that Mature aura that makes their chemistry overflow. JCW and NJH, pls date. - The Bromance. Even though the two male leads didnt have a mutual relationship from the start, it didnt stop them from having a funny and chaotic bromance. Ji Eun Hyuk (Choi Tae Joon) has always loved his BFF, Ji Wook, but his past mistake makes it hard for Ji Wook to be civil with him, but even though things were tough for Ji Wook, he never failed to care for Eun Hyuk and vice versa. Nevertheless, their bromantic chemistry topped my expectations.   - Its not so usual storyline. Like what I said, this is not your typical romcom. Actually, this drama is more of a legal crime drama than a romantic comedy one, they were so busy catching the culprit (s) that the drama had less time to focus on their love story. However, I still enjoyed its romantic aspect because they both prioritized their careers  (and again, catching the killer) before focusing on their love for each other. And I mean, Ji Chang Wook as your boyfriend? Who would not enjoy that? - JI CHANG WOOK. That's it. This is enough reason for me to like this drama. I mean, I think we can all agree that Ji Chang Wook in Suspicious Partner. Favorite Scenes: - Ji Wook's Proposal to Bong Hee. I love the fact that he swiftly just put the ring on it without asking her the question. He is THAT confident. (Only do it if you are Ji Chang Wook tho) - When Ji Wook found out the *truth* about his parents demise, he tightly hugged Bong Hee and told her to never break up and stay with him even if things would be hard for them and even if he says she should go away. - Their first day together as a couple!! Especially when Ji Wook just came out from the shower and Bong Hee told him that it is their day one. - When Bong Hee teased Ji Wook like something had happened to them when he came home drunk. - The moment they got back together! Ji Wook's line really got me especially when Bong Hee told him that she is scared that something might happen again to them and the people around them, but Ji Wook, being the risk taker of a boyfriend that he is, said that "Let it happen (the bad things) it does not matter to me. It's just that breaking up with you was scarier, to me, that was the scariest thing." - ALL of their "meetings" but are not actually meetings because of Mr. Byeon's funny and senseless antics.

MY FAVORITE DRAMAS OF 2019 !
Hello everybody, I’m back for this annual drama pick !
Unlike last year, this year was good, not exquisite, but good. But, I’m still going to give you the best of the best, la crème de la crème ! Once again, this is only my humble opinion, and I might add, I can’t watch every kdrama of the year, so I guess this is quite a small list.
PS : I still can’t choose an order, so please, make your own ranking out of my choice ;)
The 2018 version of it !
Hotel del Luna (호텔 델루나)
Tumblr media
Jang Man-Wol is the CEO of Hotel del Luna. She made a big error many years ago and, because of this, she has been stuck at Hotel del Luna. Jang Man-Wol is fickle, suspicious and greedy. Koo Chan-Sung, a sincere perfectionist but actually has a soft disposition, begins to work as a manager at Hotel del Luna, due to an unexpected case. The hotel's clientele consists of ghosts.
> Where to begin... I guess IU got me again this year (My Mister in 2018), but in a totally different role and kind of acting. I was not disappointed. This drama has a really good storyline, using modern days and history, and reality and myths and legends. This kind of mix works really well for me. All the cast was perfect and the two leading actors had a great chemistry, and it made me love Yeo Jin-Goo a little more. Plus, the scenery and special effects were really great ! AND let’s not forget the looks of Man-Wol, and the charisma of IU > PERFECT ! I guess this drama is in my top 3 !
Tumblr media
Kingdom (킹덤)
Tumblr media
10 days have passed since the King collapsed from an illness. Queen Jo and her father Chief State Councilor Jo Hak-Joo have forbidden anyone else to see the King. Even his own son Crown Prince Lee Chang is forbidden to see his father. But rumors spread that the King is dead. Crown Prince Lee Chang senses something sinister and sneaks into the King's palace. He sees a shadowy monster through a door and smells its foul stench, but he is discovered and escorted out of the palace. To find out what happened to the King, Crown Prince Lee Chang and Moo-Young travel to the Jiyulheon clinic in faraway Dongnae to see a physician. When they arrive, they discover that the clinic is in ruins and dead bodies are found under a building. A medical staff member Seo-Bi tells them that the dead they saw at the clinic are not dead and they will rise up soon to kill.
> If anyone asks, zombies are my thing, it’s been years, I literally dream of a zombie apocalypse (no, not really). As I’m not over Train to Busan, I was very excited to see zombies in a kdrama. And I’m not gonna lie, it was damn good ! And I was not very glad at first that the storyline happened in old time, because like I already said, I don’t really like historical drama. But this one made it to the list. Great zombies, great actors , great all ... I guess it’s Netflix ! (Mr.Sunshine from 2018)
Tumblr media
My Strange Hero (복수가 돌아왔다)
Tumblr media
When Kang Bok-Su was a high school student, he was falsely accused of committing violence and kicked out of school. This was caused by his first love Son Soo-Jeong and a male student Oh Se-Ho. Kang Bok-Su is a now an adult, but his life has not gone smoothly. To get revenge on Son Soo-Jeong and Oh Se-Ho, he returns to the same high school as a student. The environment at the school has changed and Kang Bok-Su gets involved in unexpected cases.
> In a lighter tone, my strange hero is a great drama with a great story and great acting from Yoo Seung-Ho, it kind of made me want to follow his project in the future. The story is a classic revenge one, but it really made me want to have justice for Bok-su, it made me attach to this character. Great drama to relax and enjoy the love story.
Tumblr media
Touch your heart  (진심이 닿다)
Tumblr media
Oh Yoon-Seo is a popular actress. She is famous for her beautiful appearance, but her acting is bad. She gets involved in a scandal with the son from a chaebol family. Her acting career declines precipitously. Oh Yoon-Seo hears that a famous screenwriter wants her to play the lead female role for a drama series. The character works as a secretary for a lawyer. To gain experience for the role, Oh Yoon-Seo is required to work as a lawyer's secretary for a few months. Meanwhile, Kwon Jung-Rok is an attorney for a law firm. He is arrogant and cold-hearted. One day, his boss asks Kwon Jung-Rok to let actress Oh Yoon-Seo work as his secretary for 3 months. He is not happy about the situation, but he has to accept.
> Basic Kdrama trope, but this one worked on me. We can say that Goblin greatly influenced my choice, the chemistry between Lee Dong Wook and Yoo In Na is beyond everything. But my heart goes all the way for Lee Dong Wook ! Anyway this drama really shows some deep characters and I loved it ! Bonus : it’s funny as heck !
Tumblr media
Leverage (Korea)  (레버리지:사기조작단)
Tumblr media
Lee Tae-Joon is an excellent insurance fraud investigator. An unexpected case changes his life. He quits his job and recruits talented criminals, that he once caught, to form an elite fraud team. The team includes Hwang Soo-Kyung , Ko Na-Beyol , Roy Ryu  and Jung Ui-Sung . They scam wealthy criminals and return the money that they stole to the victims.
> As a huge fan of the original US version, I was forced to watch this one, and let me say that, for once, the Korean version did not disappoint ! It takes the best of the original series and adapt it to Korean standards, and it works very well ! We can feel a great union between the actors who plays the team !
Tumblr media
He is Psychometric (사이코메트리 그녀석)
Tumblr media
Lee An has a special psychometry ability. Whenever he touches someone, he can read that person's memory. Using his psychometry ability, Lee An wants to take out evil people in the world. Yoon Jae-In is a girl with a scar in her mind. She tries to hide that. Lee An and Yoon Jae-In happen to meet and they struggle to solve cases.
> I was never a fan of Park Jin Young, but damn this boy got me ! He really has a great future in acting in front of him ! But all the cast were amazing. The story for once was really outside the box, I think that’s why I liked it so much ! Kudos to Da-Som whom I hope to see in more dramas !
Tumblr media
The Light in Your Eyes (눈이 부시게)
Tumblr media
Kim Hye-Ja hopes to become an announcer. She is honest and has a positive personality, but she suddenly becomes a 70-year-old woman. 70-year-old Kim Hye-Ja gains the special ability to manipulate time. Lee Joon-Ha wants to become a reporter. He has worked hard to achieve his dream, but he now lives his life hopelessly. He gets involved with Kim Hye-Ja.
> You can never guess how much I cried at the end of this drama ! You should really watch this drama, for the great acting, but also the story, a brilliant and well made one, I think you never really expected the ending, it tells how much the directing of this drama was good. This drama is definitely a revelation for me !
Tumblr media
Extraordinary You (어쩌다 발견한 하루)
Tumblr media
Eun Dan-O is a student at a prestigious high school. Her family is wealthy, but Eun Dan-O has a heart disease. Her fiance Baek Kyung attends the same prestigious high school. She likes him a lot, but he does not like her at all. Suddenly, Eun Dan-O has short-term memory loss and she can see what will happen in the near future. She gets confused by her symptoms. Then, Jinmiche, from the school cafeteria, tells Eun Dan-O that she is a character in the comic "Secret" like everybody else there. Eun Dan-O learns that her character is not even a main character, but rather an extra and she doesn't have much time to live. Eun Dan-O is stunned, but she decides she wants to find her own true first love and not someone written by the comic writer. One day, she falls down the school stairs. She feels her back touch the back of another student, among a group of male students. Her heart suddenly starts to flutter. Eun Dan-O wants to find the male student who made her heart flutter. She eventually finds the student and he is her classmate. He is a character that doesn't have a name. They get close and Eun Dan-O names him "Ha-Roo."
> I really did not expect to like this, why ? Because the basic story of this drama has been already this a thousand times : high school crush, bullying, ... But the fact that it happens in a comic really changed it all, plus, the scenography is really pretty, and the acting is on point when you watch them shift of characters ! You should really watch this !
Tumblr media
Search : WWW (검색어를 입력하세요: WWW)
Tumblr media
The story of three women in their late thirties — Bae Ta-mi, Cha Hyeon and Song Ga-Gyeong — who work in the top two competitive web portal companies: Unicon and Barro. This drama is about the conflicts, the wins, and losses one experiences when working. It will follow the story of 21st century women, who chose to not be a wife or a mother and successfully work without discrimination or impediments.
Bae Ta-Mi works as a director for a big web portal company. She is in her late 30's and is quite competitive. With her competitiveness, Bae Ta-Mi enjoys success. The methods she uses to win has her wondering if she is doing the right thing with her life.
Cha Hyeon also works as a director for a big web portal company, but as the direct competitor of Ta-mi, she’s also quite competitive, fierce, but also has a soft side, a side that she only shows to Ga-Gyeong her superior and friend.
Song Ga-Gyeong, is a rigid director of Ta-Mi in Unicon and the daughter in law of the CEO of KU Group, a big society who wants to influence the politics via Unicon. She is used by her mother in law but quickly became a fierce woman who stands for herself.
> First ... THREE STRONG WOMEN AS LEADS ! What can go wrong ? What can do better than this ! I don’t know my dear friends, I don’t know... If you ask, yes there is a love story (it won’t be a kdrama otherwise duh !), but the main couple isn’t really that great, and I really didn’t care about that. I loved the show for the power that these three women shows, and how it’s natural for women to rule the world ! (Yes I said it !) Bonus : openly showing that some characters could be bi (Cha Hyeon), and it show a very natural side of people that often people (especially in Korea) think it’s deviant (not shy about expressing their feelings, implying sex scene, etc ...). Great great drama !
Tumblr media
Honourable mention (but did not make it to the list) : Romance is a Bonus book (My love for Lee Jong-Suk did not help unfortunately ! The female lead was hard to like), Her private life (great drama, great actors but the fangirl story is a little cringey), Melting me softly (Nice but weirdly made love story...)
That’s it for this year !
Please feel free to recommend me some 2019 kdrama ! ☺️

2. The Heirs - Kim Tan is the heir to Empire Group who has been sent to study abroad in the U.S. In reality it’s a form of exile, as his elder half-brother back home schemes to take over the family business. Hyo-seop Ahn and Se-jeong Kim propose marriage
Tumblr media
Ahn Hyo-seop suggested that Kim Se-jeong go on a date with the premise of marriage.
On the 28th, SBS Monday-Tuesday drama 'Meet the Guy', Kang Tae-moo (Ahn Hyo-seop) was drawn to marry Shin Ha-ri (Kim Se-jeong).
On this day, Shin Ha-ri took the place of Jin Young-seo (Seol In-ah) and met Kang Tae-moo. Shin Ha-ri, who later found out that he was the president of her own company, wanted to run away, but needed 800,000 won for a part-time job suggested by Jinyoung-seo, so she eventually returned to her place.
Next, Shin Ha-ri played a crazy person who enjoys exposure and likes luxury goods to get rid of Kang Tae-moo. However, Kang Tae-moo expressed his liking, saying, "It's better to be cool than to be hypocritical and lie."
Then, as her last resort, Shin Ha-ri said, "Really? Do you like me?" "Then can we get a room?" She prayed for Kang Tae-mu to give up. However, Kang Tae-moo got a room right away, and Shin Ha-ri didn't know what to do.
However, at this time, Shin Ha-ri was even misunderstood as someone else's mistress. She said to Kang Tae-moo, "I've never had two legs. I don't know if it's three legs, four legs, octopus."
Shin Ha-ri said that she performed her mission perfectly, and she celebrated it with Jinyoung-seo. However, this is Shin Ha-ri's miscalculation. Kang Tae-moo declared a bombshell that he would marry Jinyoung-seo.
In response, Kang Tae-moo's secretary Cha Seong-hoon (Kim Min-gyu) asked why they were getting married without love. Then, Kang Tae-moo said, "I don't want to dwell on feelings that don't exist. I hate wasting time with confrontation. Besides, I really like Jin Young-seo. It's cool."
This fact was also communicated to Jinyoung-seo. Jinyoung-seo asked what he had done to Shin Ha-ri, and asked him to leave to reject him once again.
After refusal, Shin Ha-ri once again stepped out as a substitute for Jinyoung-seo. And he firmly told Kang Tae-moo that he had no intention of getting married. To this, Kang Tae-moo said, "Then why did you ask me to get a room after seeing it?" "And the fact that you came out against each other doesn't mean that you implicitly want to get married." Embarrassed, Shin Ha-ri said, "I hate arranged marriages that report on the family. Please do not talk about marriage." She refused.
But Kang Tae-moo did not back down. He told Shin Ha-ri, "The one I want to marry is you." Then, "Let's date only 10 times. I will give you a chance to get to know me. If you find out, I am a person with many strengths. And I am good at various things." It aroused curiosity about how it would change.

Article on Lawless Lawyer’s character map translated:

Character Relationship Map for “Lawless Lawyer” unveiled: Mubeop Law Firm VS Bloodthirsty Evils
“Lawless Lawyer” continues to stoke viewers’ curiosity with a map of the characters’ relationships and conflicts.
Slated to premiere on May 12, as the follow-up to “Live,” tvN’s upcoming weekend drama “Lawless Lawyer” draws viewers’ attention by unveiling its character relationship map on April 30 (Monday). It offers a simple, concise overview of the tension and conflict between the ‘Mubeop Law Firm’ people and the ‘Bloodthirsty Evil People,’ keeping viewers interested and curious.
Legal/action drama “Lawless Lawyer” tells the story of a lawless lawyer who initially uses his fists but evolves into a true lawyer who even risks his life to fight the abuse of power. It marks the first-time collaboration between bankable director Kim Jin-min and writer Yoon Hyun-ho, who penned movies that altogether sold 20 million tickets, joined by the cast of Lee Joon-gi, Seo Yea-ji, Lee Hye-young, and Choi Min-soo.
What stands out the most in the ‘Lawless Lawyer’ character map is certainly the central conflict among the four characters, Bong Sang-pil (Lee Joon-gi), Ha Jae-yi (Seo Yea-ji), Cha Moon-sook (Lee Hye-young), and Ahn Oh-joo (Choi Min-soo). With their presence alone, the foursome grabs viewers’ attention. Described as ‘Partnership’ and ‘Romance,’ Bong Sang-pil and Ha Jae-yi’s relationship captures our attention, while the ‘Opposing’ relationship between Cha Moon-sook and Ahn Oh-joo also makes viewers wonder how these dramatic relationships will unfold.
The map also implies that Bong Sang-pil’s turn into a ‘lawless lawyer’ has been heavily influenced by the fate of Choi Jin-ae (Shin Eun-jung), Bong Sang-pil’s mother and former human rights lawyer, and Choi Dae-woong (Ahn Nae-sang), Bong Sang-pil’s uncle and boss of the Daewoong gang. It also makes us wonder what causes Bong Sang-pil and Ha Jae-yi to form a partnership, and the real reason for their decision to stand on the side of justice and fight absolute power in Giseong.
Other characters essential to the story of “Lawless Lawyer” are the top 0.1% of Giseong City, namely, the inner circle of Cha Moon-sook, Ahn Oh-joo, Koh In-doo (Jeon Jin-gi) and Nam Soon-ja (Yeom Hye-ran). In ‘Evil City’ Giseong, these judges, prosecutors, press, and politicians make up a web of connections and intend to seize control of the city and rule the world as they please.
Among the ‘Evil People,’ Cha Moon-sook stands at the top of the hierarchy with absolute power, and there exists the ‘Hostile’ relationship between Ahn Oh-joo and Nam Soon-ja, who seem to represent Cha Moon-sook’s right-hand man and secretary, respectively. The drama will chart the conflict between these evil characters, as they do all kinds of evil deeds and carry out evil schemes in order to gain Cha Moon-sook’s favor while serving their own interests.
Playing Cha Moon-sook, who holds absolute authority in Giseong and conceals greed behind her saintly mask, and Ahn Oh-joo, who’s only driven by money and success, respectively, Lee Hye-young and Choi Min-soo are expected to create unprecedented villains in the history of Korean drama.
This sharply-divided opposition between the ‘Mubeop Law Firm’ people and the ‘Bloodthirsty Evils’ stokes our curiosity about the enthralling story that will unfold throughout the drama “Lawless Lawyer.”
tvN’s new Sat-Sun drama “Lawless Lawyer” is the first-time collaboration between director Kim Jin-min who demonstrated his directing finesse in “Time between Dog and Wolf,” “Pride and Prejudice,” and “Marriage Contract,” and writer Yoon Hyun-ho, who wrote movies “The Attorney” and “Confidential Assignment” as well as drama “Remember – The War of Son.” It premieres on May 12, Saturday, at 9 p.m. as the follow-up to currently airing “Live.”

My Favourite K-Dramas
This being my very first blog makes me nervous but excited at the same time. I decided to write down the list of Korean dramas I loved watching. The below are few of my favourite ones which I wouldn't mind watching again.
1. BOYS OVER FLOWERS:
Tumblr media
Well for me the craze for Korean dramas started after watching Boys over flowers, thanks to a sweet friend of mine for introducing it to me. BOF was my very first K-Drama and boy it was full-speed from then on. These sweet, quirky teenage love stories are so additive, no matter how old you are you would enjoy watching such dramas. This Cinderella kindof story will definitely make you want to have more. But apart from all that what got me hooked was perhaps Lee Min Ho and his convincing acting as Gyu Jun Pyo. If it wasn't for his spot on acting as the main lead I wouldn't have liked it so much. The female character (Geum jan Di) played by Gu Hye Sun as the cute and bubbly girl was perfect but what was more perfect was their chemistry together. Apart from the main leads I cant say much about the acting skills of the other F4 members, but I did enjoy Geum jan Di's little brother and parents. If you are a beginner to K-Drama and want a suggestion I would definitely recommend Boys Over Flowers.
Tumblr media
2. COFFEE PRINCE
Tumblr media
Aaah Coffee Prince, I'm soo in love with this drama. Honestly I never expected it to be this good. The main leads have so much chemistry. I started developing this huge crush on Gong Yoo mostly because of his manly image in this drama. At first I was a little hesitant to watch the drama maybe because I wasn't over Boys over Flowers (LOL). The story is little unique, girl dressed up as a boy so that she could have a job, but the girls strange but cute character makes the boss fall in love with her without him knowing that she is actually a girl, which make him question his preference. Let me tell you it might sound a little odd but you've got to watch it. The part where Gong Yoo finds out that she is indeed a girl...aah...heartbreaking, I cried with him. The acting superb by both the main leads. But in this drama I wasn't only drawn to the main leads but the supporting characters as well. Each of their stories are unique and interesting. Yoon Eun Hye was excellent playing the role of a boy but what I liked was how her acting as a boy was cute rather than too boyish.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
3. SECRET GARDEN
Tumblr media
How can you not love this drama, I mean seriously. I think this is the only drama I watched thrice. Hyun Bin I love you Kim Joo-won and Ha Ji Won as Gil Ra-im. Even though it has the same element of usual Kdramas with rich, boy poor girl, cruel rich parents and so on but apart from the cliché I guarantee you will not be disappointed. And a bit of fantasy for those you like that stuff. Apart from the main characters I wasnt drawn to any of the other supporting characters but I really enjoyed Choi Woo-young / Oska and Secretary Kim, they were hilarious. Check it out!
Tumblr media
4. FLOWER BOY RAMYUN SHOP
Tumblr media
Ok, this one I wasn't that keen on watching but boy oh boy I am so glad I did. This drama is so cute and funny. The story goes something like this, the girl played by Lee Chung Ah  (Yang Eun-bi) aims to be a school teacher and finally lands a job in a school owned by Cha Chi-soo's father. Cha Chi-soo played by Jung Il Woo is an arrogant heir, goes to the same school as a student. At first Eun-bi thinks of him as a well-off, working in a big company, charming guy and also ends up calling him "oppa"..he he..that scene was funny, however she realises her mistake. They end up fighting and slowly Chi-soo starts falling in love with her, well you know the routine, ok, so it might seem like the same old story but let me assure you it is good. Its funny, goofy and cute. Both the leads pull off a good chemistry. Watch it if you are not looking for a serious drama and just want to have a good time.
Tumblr media
6. THE GREATEST LOVE
Tumblr media
This drama is special to me because I wasn't drawn towards it in the beginning but without me knowing it grew on me. The reason Cha Seung-won as Dokko Jin. How can you not love that character. Hilarious just hilarious. Cha Seung-won pulled it off beautifully. Dokko Jin is so funny, annoying, cute all at the same time. And who can you best pair with such a character and still stand out, who else Gong Hyo-jin (Gu Ae-jung) ofcourse. There are two chemistries I loved in this drama one is ofcourse the leads Cha Seung-won and Gong Hyo-jin's chemistry, second one is the little kid Gu Hyung-kyu (Ae-jung's nephew) and Dokko Jin's so cute cute!!Loved it, enjoyed it. Check it out.
Tumblr media
7. REPLY 1997
Tumblr media
Love love just love this drama. If you haven't watched it yet run and begin NOW! Amazing! So different from the usual Kdramas. Aaah...what can I say about Reply 1997, I am still not over it honestly. Even though it begins as a high school drama don't run away if you think you are too old for that stuff. Sung Shi-won and Yoon Yoon-jae played by Jung Eun-ji (A-Pink) and Seo In-guk are soo perfect, loved them! The story is about these two childhood friends who are very close, the girl, who is silly, sometimes over-the-top, is a HUGE H.O.T fan (a former boyband) and the boy, smart, studious, popular guy in school , begins a huge crush on his childhood friend. The storyline is from the 90's, so the writers add all those technological elements from that time. What's interesting is the detail, very refreshing and very enjoyable. Apart from the main characters all the other supporting characters are so fun to watch (the parents are just crazy..lol) Watch it, highly recommend it :) Do check out the ost sung by the main leads Jung Eun-ji (A-Pink) and Seo In-guk. Both have an amazing voice. If you enjoy watching Reply 1997 do watch Reply 1994. Both are from the same writers; however the plot is different and really good.
