How not to whitewash
First thing you need is photoshop, if you don't have it, try to search for these things on lightbox. Or ask me and I’ll find you a download.
I don't have many pictures of Maria on my PC, only screencaps, so I'll use this one to show you. On your pictures, you'll probably work less the light and etc cause its much better quality. But I'll give you the tools and you play with it, see what fits better and soon you're gonna be great at it.
Tumblr media
First thing I do when I edit it make it clearer
For that go to Curves, you have two ways to do it.
1-
Tumblr media
2- I like this one better cause you can click on Curves layer and adjust later
Tumblr media
Once you go to Curves you change the RGB thing to reds, or blues or greens, you pick which one you wanna go first, but the 3 of them will work together, so you'll just have experiment and see what fits better.
1- Reds.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Move the little white thing, I usually go by squares so I can see how its affecting the picture.
2- Greens.
Do the same until it looks good.
3- Blues.
Do the same thing, until it looks good, but careful not to make it too pink, blues are tricky.
If you want to make it even lighter you just push all colors more to the left, don't worry if its looking whitewashed cause you can fix that on selective colors and color balance. But anyway, if it looks too whitewashed, when you finish making it clearer, its good to go back to "reds" and push it a little more to make sure the color is there ;)
Okay, this is after I finish playing with it. I could have made it lighter and I would if I was giffing but
Tumblr media
Im teaching you to edit normal pictures, so I'm not gonna make it too much lol
She doesn't look whitewashed but the picture is too "red" to my taste.
Color Balance
Okay, so I forgot to take a printscreen here lol but its on the same page as curves (check here)
Tumblr media
So what we do, is we go to color balance, and there you can play with it.
I start with shadows, but as you play with it, you see you cant use it too much, I usually go -1 or +1 or 2,
Tumblr media
not too much, is mostly for background.
Midtones is all color, you can play with it more than shadows.
Tumblr media
And hightlights are mostly faces, bright colors, etc... See what looks good for you. On the little eye at the bottom you can see how it was before.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If you feel like going back to any of the layers, like you need more or less curves, color balance, selective.. You just double click on top of it right here
Tumblr media
Okay now is selective color and its where you have to worry. You start with reds and yellows, like this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Theres no formula, you just have to work them and see what fits better to your pictures.
After you're done with that, you select these 3 layes ctlr+click each one of them or shift
Tumblr media
Right click on them to open this "window" and create a group for them. (If you have to edit a bunch of pictures that look alike you can just grab this folder and put on top of the other pictures. Its your own psd.
Okay, now you can color other things. Go to selective color again (make the layer underneath the folder like mine. For that, you click on background before opening selective color, or grab the layer and put underneath it) and work colors that you wanna work with and just do whats best for your pic. Remember you can always check how it was before on the eye thing.
Tumblr media
After you color it with the other colors, if you don't do yellows and reds again, it can lose color.
Heres mine after I used the colors except red and yellow again.
Tumblr media
ps: Be careful on neutrals and blacks, you have to use very little as well (i never use whites)
So, on this same layer, you can adjust the reds and yellows.
Tumblr media
After that, if I see that my picture could be a little lighter, I go back to Curves and do the 1st step again, but being careful not to lose the work Ive done. This is how you open the folder and then just click like I showed you before.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And thats done for me, but its a gif, and I sometimes use it on pictures, but be careful cause pictures are much more sensitive. The principle is the same though, these are the tools and you just need to learn how to use them to master. Go crazy sometimes, thats how you learn stuff. After you go crazy, like, really push the colors to see what the tools make (but dont post these lol) If you have any doubts, ask me.

Finding the Best Cam4
The Honest to Goodness Truth on Cam4
While it might not be problematic for some users to buy tokens, many different users around the world feel the tokens are very costly. You should note you may generate an infinite number of tokens this way with no risk. You will also require ID to prove you're at least 18 before you're able to accept tokens and cash them out.
The Ultimate Strategy to Cam4
There are many individuals that are figuring from a way so as to find access to Cam4 without the should pay. It's therefore natural that users from various countries would be in demand of CAM4 tokens. You only put in your login together with the quantity of tokens you mean to produce. You just put in your login and additionally the quantity of tokens you desire to produce. If you wish to chat, you must register an account. After registering, you'll receive an email containing a user name and password that's essential to get access to the repository. Since you may see, the site is known to operate through using tokens, and such tokens are known to require a specific sum of money for you to totally access high-quality cam shows within the site.
The website is offered only in English and it appears that most users are from the usa. It connects friends and old school friends, as well as allowing webmasters to create applications that can be uploaded onto the site. You'd want to examine this website on your own but in my opinion people who visit us to be able to receive absolutely free tokens, they precisely understand exactly what this site is all about. You might already know, this website is specific in person exhibits for people. This website lets you view a number of webcams at the same time. This gay live chat site is actually distinctive and different from the other chat websites on the web.
Every cam will reveal a thumbnail which holds a printscreen from inside the room. It is also thought to be involved in salt stress signaling. For example, when you use gay live cams, you're alone with the other person and lots of awkward silences may emerge. You may expect to find these kinds of videos on the website far more often from now on. Full videos of her and other stars can be purchased from the website and then watched through its very own Holographic player which can be downloaded at no cost.
The floor is comparatively polished, as reflections of almost all the facts of the room can be viewed. You're able to actually connect now and you don't have to wait over a moment to find the next girl. Only seen that once though, the majority of the time that you seem to have to be on it for a couple of hours and set regular targets, and then the tokens roll in.
The computer generated tokens may be used for the exact same matters you would find it possible to do with tokens which have been bought. There are plenty of technologies you may use to make this happen, we will address two most well-known ones here. No matter in which you live the planet, you can be certain there will be a webcam model performer from your country online right now.
You'll have plenty of fun in free mode, but if you would like to thank the models, go right ahead and send them tips. Whether you would like to hunt for love, have a fast fling with hoy gay guys on the internet or even in the event that you only want to make friends, this is among the very best gay chat room sites on the planet! Ladies and gentlemen, today I am quite pleased to discuss Cam4! Big bouncy ladies cam xvideos. The very first girl is easily the most popular at the present time of your visit. At the peak of the user list you're able to choose whether you just want to find girls, boys or couples by checking the boxes. In the beginning stages, the youngster must learn how to expertly grip the object which ought to be thrown.
Work from home, set your own hours and just do the kind of shows you wish to execute. This issue is the principal reason why our token generator is growing so common. If you have any suspicions about its security and don't want to lose your primary CAM4 account, you can make a new account just for testing the token generator. No worries, it costs nothing, thus don't hesitate to do that. Getting support and response from an on-line community has actually helped me to truly feel proud of who I am. Begin now, you can't understand what you will observe next. Free plan you don't will need to spend and certainly will be correctly employed by all means.

Tel Aviv 2019: Straight outta Albania to Eurovision with ethno beats
youtube
Sorry to be late to start all this, but you know, Albanians love doing their show around the Christmas period - whether before or after. xD So after this show, I was rather engulfed in Christmas and stuff, packing the gifs for every family member, putting them under the tree and waking up to see their (belated) reactions to their own gifts. Oh, and a festive dinner on the Eve. (And now it's been less than 1 and a half months since the end of this!)
But enough about that, you guys are here for my honest review, right?
Right.
I, for one, am a true fan of the ridiculous runtime of Festivali i Këngës në Radiotelevizion Shqiptar (and how the full lenght title is pronounced with the broadcaster’s name included every other single time), and that's because it allows me to discuss every single detail that I see, that goes wrong, that's just plain hilarious, and printscreen those said things. Among all these weird sights that can be seen during the interval acts and advertisements there's at least one instance of somebody in the show being such a "mood". Just like the broadcaster's current higher up for all things Eurovision at home (i.e.: commentator, spokesperson and occasional conversator), Andri Xhahu:
Tumblr media
“mmhmm sure, keep on telling how much you love all the acts while I pretend I care, but in fact I’d rather just go home and eat something real quick”
Trust me, everyone in this show is a master of not giving a single damn. Artists, backings, instrumentalists, interval acts even maybe? All kinds of people in Albania are just mediocred out by things happening in FiK, thus nothing is remotely surprising!
Well, except for the results this year. Sure, everyone had their little outrage on social media the very time it was revealed that the international public’s darling Mirud did not impress the FiK jurors enough to qualify, but others were simply rejoicing that at least another big fave qualified - and to the fans’ dy shokë, a favourite won once again! And this one is an artsy, mid-tempo call to all of the abroad Albanians to “return to the land”, provided by the one and only, Jonida Maliqi.
And so you thought a big FiK favourite wouldn’t manage to win 2 years in a row... let alone reach Eurovision. It was nearly a given FiK juries could rather have had their traditional FiK-ness when picking the winner and that it would have become Lidia Lufi or even one of those old people, one of them being THE CONDUCTOR OF THE WHOLE SHOW (and if he was not qualifying, he’d probably have been ultra upset and leave his position from FiK’s orchestra that he has now observed every year since idk), so it’s refreshing to see Albania take on some new winds - last year with Eugent Bushpepa, this year with Jonida. Not that she was a big favourite of mine though, but you know, “Mall” was so incredibly difficult to top standart-wise that I actually didn’t really mind letting go of the songs by Dilan Reka, Klinti Çollaku and Alar Band (and 3 more nonqualifiers) emotionally. I mean, with the competition this incredibly improving in competence and easy good winners, it was a given that none of these would have even come close to reach a stellar placing in the final leaderboard of FiK. And yes, I consider my taste incredibly out of fashion with what everyone wants. Thank you for noticing.
When I first heard this, I didn’t really have a great impression on this track - the 1st verse/chorus and the 2nd verse/chorus have an extreeeeemely long gap between each other, which bothered me. Shouldn’t the song have some short enough gateway to pass the point across easier? The second thing is that it’s a little too slow. Not long after she won I became acquainted with the song’s Nightcore versions (yep! 2 of them exist apparently), and going back to he studio version of this, the slowness of it put me off. But on later listens I managed to appreciate its better qualities - the song is intense, tackles a decent topic (which will probably be underlooked if the staging does not account for it clearly enough - looking at you France 2018), the folksy interlude is too precious to be gotten rid off for the upcoming revamp (I just think it needed to be placed elsewhere... until I realized it is in an alright position songwise), the backing vocals at the last few seconds add some charm to the song, and at least there are some vocalisations! Juries obviously love it when an act tests their high vocal abilities, and often great notes don’t go too unnoticed by them. Remember why was Eugent’s performance so loved by the juries - if he haven’t done THAT, nothing would have given him a final ticket in the first place.
So that means that the first time viewers at home have a hefty fine chance to also not get what’s happening, right? Unless the music gets drastically devamped (like in 2016) and the performance is too heavy to connect with this song, it is probably going to do alright. The 2nd night performances this FiK were all devoted to the idea of preparing the acts for Eurovision in an unavoidable case of one of them winning. And Jonida’s performance uses rather cartoonish (but decent cartoonish) city-at-night shots in the background (with street lamps, traffic lights, maybe a bridge and the rest) and several random dancers too, which you can see for yourselves below:
youtube
(I’d like to inform her though that constantly interchanging street motives on the background aren’t a very good addition - Latvia 2009 went with all-round street and city signs and that didn’t work, and the 2009 stage was HUGE! Also maybe the dress is a little too extravagant for the topic of the song but that’s a nitpick. Sorry about it)
And even though it’s just 1 song (and the reason the top 1s keep poping up right after FiK is over - a common practice even among very small Eurovision fan Youtube channels) (edit: now we have 4 songs at the point of me finishing this but still), I do believe that already writing it off is harsh. Obviously the Albanian revamp curse is going to take place, but sometimes it comes to a complete advantage if the artist knows what he or she is doing and how to turn everything to their strenght rather than weakness. Eugent just happened to do more impressive vocal heights than Lindita. And Eugent didn’t even need to wear something too extra unlike Lindita, which for some reason was having to deal with a bridal attire..? not a really suitable wear for a song about world problems, yanno what I mean?? So it’s for the better if Jonida’s team doesn’t have to harm the song all too much, choose a connecting staging, do something piercing about it, don’t make Jonida look like a clown on stage, and generally don’t let her come across as too weird and cold-hearted. She should be seen pouring her heart out and let the world know that she’s talking to the Albanians (and hopefully even Kosovars) ‘round the world - to all the Ritas, to all the Duas, to all the Bebes.
Approval factor: I didn’t say I hate it so I approve it wholeheartedly! Yes I like.
Follow-up factor: in my sole opinion I would still find “Mall” way better but this current entry is good enough also, so it’s obviously a fair enough follow-up after the previous and the rest past entries for Albania.
Qualification factor: somewhere in the middle of things right now, if only Jonida’s capable of making everythhing against her work in her favour and shock the naysayers like Eugent did post-revamp that looked like it killed his chances
NATIONAL FINAL BONUS
If you don’t want to read any more of my review from this point on, just simply leave this post, thanks!
But if, however, you do want to read these post-ramblings, pls b mah frien.
So did we have Fest 57 through and it always delivered a fiesta of too many ads and too many intervals. Like you could have sworn that this show should have ended 5 years earlier than initially planned. Yet you wake up and find it still going, but more in the post-show form, with the jury still continuing to blabber about what exactly do they like in a contestant’s song for some reason. And then, when you least expect anything to happen - they mention “lista finale”! Ahh what a miracle.
Anyway, in this segment I’m here to highlight some special things that have happened:
• The puppetmaster from Night 2. No one knew what was that for, no one knew why was it needed, no one knew if it was even a little bit funny. But this Francesca Michielin’s auntie delivered a bunch of stuffed ‘humans’ to show around in front of the camera and stage something out of them. And the world was s h o o k
Tumblr media
• Sound problems. One contestants had quiet mics at the beginning of the song (and this is FiK, which means that the poor acts WILL get a definite repeat of their entry, even if they had said their word against it. Sorry Miss Põldvere...), and another act got away with the entirety of it being completely not tuned in correctly soundwise, thus sounding completely all reverb-y and at one point even the mic feed for the backings was louder than the vocals of the artist. Hilariously enough, the both reprised acts won an award!
• Speaking of which, everyone thought that the first award of the night was actually the winner announcement. Even me. Oh how much we were falsely alarmed on this particular thing... xD
• Obviously the results. I honestly don’t think that Mirud’s nonqualification is such a mystery, despite the fact that as of lately the FiK juries are down for uplifting the audience faves. But I saw something that could have turned his song into something unbearably weak and nondescript, despite his pain and heart streamed out in bold colors through the song, considering this is the country that revamps their entries a lot. It could have been, and I’m dreading to say this but I am gonna say it anyway, a meaningless R’n’B ballad trying to show something, but projecting it too weakly. Of course I liked it, but I wouldn’t have pointed at it saying; “that right there, it’s definitely a contender”. But I definitely felt sorry for him and his song. Look what I messaged him:
Tumblr media
• Dilan Reka’s quality stepdown. Look, I didn’t even listen to “Mos harro” as of yet, but I can definitely feel that “Karma” is some sort of a sub-par standart entry everyone gave hard time for because it wasn’t as likeable as “Mos harro”, which could have been the beginner of the good Albanian streak I suppose had it won the NF over Lindita? Or at least that’s what the fans think. Anyways, I liked “Karma” and I don’t ever want to stop defending its fun factor. The only thing not worth defending in this is Dilan’s styling:
Tumblr media
No but WHO TOLD HIM YELLOW SUNGLASSES AND THIS SUIT WERE A GOOD IDEA???? leave.
• The girl who sang "Hallelujah" during a results break (there were several of these, can you believe that?). That was presumably Ana Kondra (you know, the one that advised to not touch her tree two years back? In JESC?) presumably singing in a personally warped take on English language, if not the actual English.
• Somewhere in the world there was hype-a-comin’ for these two: the cheap beats queen Soni Malaj and the retro hipster queen Orgesa Zaimi. While I can’t say I disliked their songs legit, it beats me as to what is attracting people to support the latter a lot, considering Orgesa submitted a bit of a huge stepdown from the cheerful “Ngrije zërin“. She at least retained her hipster attire though, even if without those French sunglasses. Oh and as for Soni, I gotta commend the Eurofan audience for still giving in some cheap Balkan pop trash! Though for country like Albania, it was never gonna win anyways. And I wasn’t hyped either. Seriously, who thought that adding some extra confused guys spout “bum bum bum” at the beginning was remotely GOOD??
Think I noted all momentswise. May I add that I’m glad to hear Jonida was allowed to sing in Albanian by RTSH (who apparently DECIDE what kind of language is more fitting for their own entry once it’s decided it’s ready for Eurovision???? I feel you, Elhaida’s composer from FiK 2014, if I had to face these rules, I’d have quit too)? It definitely takes this song up for advantage, and who cares if no one can understand it - we still have had an Albanian song about personal matters qualify, plus it was performed live on such an unfortunate occasion back at home so the power had to be extremely maxed out for that to work, and it did.
And one last thing: I did only watch the final of this, and the first time I heard this performed live, I was lowkey convinced this would indeed win because the orchestra made it sound like a stereotypical FiK winner - dramatic female ballad/midtempo/whatever having this dramatic power in chorus with all of the instruments blown right onto it. Not even the rest of the top 3 and other ballads this year were this much instrumentally packed. So there goes.

We Analyzed 100,000 Unnatural Links and This Is What We’ve Learned
Everybody talks about unnatural links and their impact on the SEO world. While some things are well known, when it comes to search engine optimization and spammy links, there is still a lot of obscurity on the subject.
  To shed some light on this matter, we’ve run an in-depth analysis based on more than 100k inbound links. Some of the findings are really surprising, while others bring a clear confirmation to some really popular assumptions.
    Almost a Quarter of Links Have Over 50% Unnaturalness Issues
35% of All Unnatural Links Have Low Influence
Commercial Anchor Texts Have a Higher Distribution for Websites with Unnatural Links
Almost Half of the Unnatural Links Are Coming From Web Directories
40% of Links are Placed in Short Paragraph of Texts
Websites with Highly Unnatural Backlink Profiles Have Over 70% Nofollow Links
Lower Domain Influence Score Shows Higher Unnaturalness
An Unnatural Backlink Profile Leads to a Decrease in Search Visibility
How We Did the Research
Top 10 Takeaways
  The unnatural links have eaten the SERPs alive all these years and the “good” links keep fighting their way back. Lots of websites suffered and ended in dreadful situations regarding penalties because of SEO spammers who called themselves “SEO experts” and promised to offer high rankings in Google by building awful links or business owners who followed old tactics. Either way, the damage remains.
  The current research contains lots of insights on the unnatural link matter, aggregating information on metrics such as unnatural and suspect link percentage, link issues, commercial and brand anchor text percentage, webpage type and link positioning, dofollow and nofollow links, average domain influence, search visibility, etc. We recommend you to read everything thoroughly; yet, if you think that you don’t have time to read everything now, you can jump to the main takeaways.
  1. Almost a Quarter of the Analyzed Websites Have Over 50% Unnatural Links
  After analyzing the data we saw that most of the websites (39.9% of all websites) have up to 10% unnatural links. Is not bad, but it’s a small percentage if we were to think about it. Up to 30% unnatural links represent more than half of the links (a total of 63.3%). An even worse situation is if we look at the percentage of websites (20.7%) that have over 50% unnatural links.
  For a better understanding of the charts, you need to know that we divided the websites based on the percentage of their unnatural links into 4 categories:
comprising up to 10% unnatural links of all links;
comprising between 10-30% unnatural links of all links;
comprising 30-50% unnatural links of all links;
comprising over 50% unnatural links of all links.
    If we compare this chart with the next one, where we’ve summed up unnatural and suspect links together, we can see the differences between the pie charts. The number of websites that have over 50% unnatural and suspect links is almost a quarter or the total amount of websites – 24.8%.
  And the number of websites with up to 10% unnatural and suspect links is smaller than the first chart – 31.4%. But overall the situation looks worse.
    The cognitiveSEO tool triggers a penalized flag when a website has more than 30% of their backlink profile containing unnatural links. And when we look at our situation, we see that there is a significant amount of links with over 30% of unnatural links.
  By now you might be thinking of how we classified or what we considered to be an unnatural link.
  For the links classification, we used the cognitiveSEO classification metrics. cognitiveSEO’s Unnatural Link Detection classifies links based on their unnaturalness as follows:
unnatural link: links considered unnatural by Google. The tool uses over 50 rules to classify unnatural links.
suspect links: links that could be unnatural but need a manually double check investigation. Context can change a lot in terms of the naturalness of a link and this is why some links cannot be algorithmically classified but need manual curation.
OK links: links that seem to have no issue.
  Below you can see a printscreen taken from the Unnatural Link Detection tool.
    2. 35% of All Unnatural Links Have Low Influence
  Our research is based on the analysis of almost 8,000 websites which have thousands of unnatural links. We looked at the influence carried by those links and analyzed the main unnatural issues. For each website, we had a list of issues.
  We calculated the frequency of the issues and you can see in the chart below the top link issues for websites with unnatural links. A low influence link is one of the most widespread link issues. A low influence link is a low quality link, which can have low influence because of lots of reasons, in addition to web-directory links, suspect anchor text, or suspect pattern link.
    There is no secret that low influence links or links coming from web directories are most of the times spammy links; yet, what is surprising here is that these issues are still encountered today, as they were 10  years ago.
  And, for a quick reminder, here are the link schemes which violate Google’s Webmaster Guidelines:
  buying and selling links or any other links generated through monetary payments;
excessive link exchanges;
guest blogging with keyword rich and over optimized anchor text links;
automatic link building using automated software;
blogrolls, footer links and any other widely distributed links on a website;
web directories;
advertorials or paid articles with links;
hidden or low-quality links embedded in widgets;
any sort of links that still intends to manipulate PageRank;
forum comments with optimized links.
  3. More Commercial Anchor Texts Correlate with Higher Unnatural Links
  According to the graphic below, we can see that most of the commercial anchor texts are found within websites that have a high percentage (over 50%) of unnatural links.
    For you to make an idea of how we tackle anchor texts, let us explain a bit how we defined brand and commercial keywords.
  The brand anchor text contains the name of the business or domain name. Commercial keywords (or money keywords) are all of those keywords relevant for transactional searches, keywords that match queries to real buyers. In our case for instance, cognitiveSEO would be a brand keyword while best SEO tool would be a commercial keyword.
  One thing is clear: commercial anchor texts have a higher distribution for websites with unnatural links. So it was a surprise to see so many brand anchor texts for the unnatural links. We analyzed the brand anchor texts for the unnatural links to see why there are so many. And we realized that is actually a connection with the top link issues discussed above.
  Most of the unnatural links with a brand anchor text are coming from web directories.
  Below you can see an example of such kind. You can see that the link is on the website and the domain name, but the website looks really spammy and we all know that Google doesn’t like web directories or any listing websites.
    For determining the link building strategy we analyzed the Webpage Type, Link Positioning, Webpage Category. Webpage Type is a metric that profiles backlinks by their structural type. This means you can see exactly the type of page it’s linking to, whether it’s a Blog, a Forum, an Ecommerce site or maybe a News site. The Link Positioning metric classifies each analyzed link by its type (Blogroll, Blog Post, in Content Link, etc) and Webpage Category identifies the contextual relevance between the site and its inBound Links.
  Top 5 webpage categories for websites that have unnatural links are:
Generic
Business
Home
Tech
Health
  4. Almost Half of the Unnatural Links Are Coming From Web Directories
  According to our study, it looks that web directories are the main source for spammy backlinks, followed by generic websites, blogs, forums and ecommerce.
    Web-directories were a big hit in the glorious old-days of black hat SEO. They have been with us since the beginning of black hat SEO. If you look at the print screen below, you can see how web directories searches changed over the years.
    It started big, then it went down and the popularity dropped, but some people are still using them. Web Directories don’t have a good image anymore in the SEO world.
  Matt Cutts said that the Google team looks at the value of the directory and how much work is put into it.
  If it’s not substantially a lot of work and, primarily, it looks to be more-less a link scheme, then paid directories are held to the same standards as paid links.
  5. 40% of All Unnatural Links are Placed in Short Paragraph of Texts
  Since our main source of links are web directories, it turns out that the top two link positionings are related to that. During our study, we saw that most of the unnatural links are placed in short paragraph or text and in groups of links. 40% of the websites had unnatural links in short paragraph of text and 39% of websites in groups of links.
    The study shows that links placed in short paragraphs of text and in group of links are the top link positioning schemes used by spammers.
  6. Websites with Highly Unnatural Backlink Profiles Have over 70% Nofollow Links
  Besides the information we discussed above, regarding the link strategy, we were also interested in finding out the link equity or link juice transferred and the type of value assigned to the rel attribute – dofollow and nofollow.
  We know that “dofollow” is not an attribute on itself but we are going to use it here to make a distinction between links.
    As you can see in the chart, all the websites with unnatural links have a high number of nofollow links. And out of the total links, less than a quarter are dofollow.
  We’ve been fed with the belief that dofollow links might be mostly for unnatural links; but it seems that that’s not necessarily the case. We admit that the data discovered reflects only findings on a set of links, but still,  the results we’ve discovered here are quite interesting.
  Since most of the unnatural links are nofollow, as you can see in the chart above, we started to believe that the questions “Should I disavow nofollow links?” has new directions. The nofollow links saga continues, after long and heated debates among online marketers and SEOs.
  Judging by our findings here, we can say that disavowing nofollow links is not a matter of choice anymore.
  You should think about removing or disavowing links that look spammy and have a high risk for your backlink profile even if they are nofollow.
  They can impact the whole quality of your backlink profile. If they are nofollow, that doesn’t mean they are risk-free. Since dofollow links were known for being unnatural in a high percentage, it became a standard as far as natural links go. But if we look at the results of our study, more and more major publishers start to switch to nofollow. This can definitely influence other spammer practitioners to do this as well.
  And Google’s John Mueller said to disavow bad links, no matter if they are dofollow or nofollow.
  Disavowing or cleaning up bad links to your site may help Google’s algorithm trust other links to your site.
  The nofollow drama started to be more complicated since lots of publishers abuse the practice, so that good nofollow links and spammy nofollow links got mixed. We had an entire talk about the impact of nofollow links on SEO where you can find if they are they still worth having.
  7. Lower Domain Influence Score Shows Higher Unnaturalness
  In our study, we checked the Domain Influence for the unnatural links to see the average value. It turns out that the higher the unnatural backlink profile is, the lower the Domain Influence goes.
    The Domain Influence is a similar metric that includes the domain authority, a crowd-sourced metric measured from 0 to 100.
    8.  A High Unnatural Backlink Profile Usually Leads to a Decrease in Search Visibility
  A direct correlation between the unantural link and the search visibility wasn’t done in the present study, yet, judging by other researches we made it seems that  the highest the unnatural backlinks profile, the highest the chance to get fluctuations on the search engines and no visibility on the long run.
  We’ve written several researches on this matter, and in almost all cases, a high number of unnatural links caused a major drop in search visibility.
To make sure that your rankings will be safe, we deeply recommend you to:
Regularly monitor your backlink profile
Disavow your unnatural links
Monitor new links that could trigger penalties
Know your anchor text ratio
And if you’re looking for a tool that can do all that and even more, the cognitiveSEO toolset is always here for you.
  9. How We Did the Research
  We extracted and worked on more than 100k links coming from almost 8,000 randomly chosen and anonymized websites from different categories, mainly from health, ecommerce, finance, travel, business technology, entertainment, adult.  Here are some data we looked for:
the percentage of unnatural links, suspect links and OK links;
most uncommon unnatural link issues;
the percentage of brand and commercial anchor text;
webpage type, link positioning and web category for unnatural links only;
nofollow and dofollow links for the whole backlinks profile;
nofollow and dofollow links for the unnatural links only;
high and good Domain Influence for the whole backlink profile and for the unnatural links only;
the average Domain Influence for the whole backlinks profile and for the unnatural links only.
  And for each metric analyzed and discussed in the present article we classified the unnatural backlink profile into 4 categories:
with 0-10% unnatural links out of the total links;
11-30 % unnatural links out of the total links;
31-50% unnatural links out of the total links;
over 50% unnatural links out of the total links.
    Top 10 Takeaways
  We had some pretty interesting SEO facts discovered in our study. We debunked some SEO myths and got new leads and strategies to put in place for future investigations. Below you can see our top 10 takeaways.
  Almost all websites have some unnatural links, with a third of all of them have over 50% spammy links.
Obviously or not, most of the unnatural links have no influence, and a third of all analyzed websites have a low or no influence links.
Web directories are on the top list of unnatural tactics and (probably) black hat SEO strategies.
Most of the unnatural links are placed mostly on short paragraphs of texts and groups of lists.
Commercial anchor text are not necessarily the trigger to unnaturalness.
Most of the unnatural links had the rel=”nofollow” tag, contrary to popular beliefs that nofollow links are “safe”.
Mostly dofollow links seems to be natural, non-spammy & relevant links.
We might need to change our approach regarding disavowing nofollow links.
Unnatural links highly affect websites’ Google visibility .
Unnatural links are correlated with lower Domain Influence score.

  For a better understanding of the charts, you need to know that we divided the websites based on the percentage of their unnatural links into 4 categories:
comprising up to 10% unnatural links of all links;
comprising between 10-30% unnatural links of all links;
comprising 30-50% unnatural links of all links;
comprising over 50% unnatural links of all links.
  And, for a quick reminder, here are the link schemes which violate Google’s Webmaster Guidelines:
  buying and selling links or any other links generated through monetary payments;
excessive link exchanges;
guest blogging with keyword rich and over optimized anchor text links;
automatic link building using automated software;
blogrolls, footer links and any other widely distributed links on a website;
web directories;
advertorials or paid articles with links;
hidden or low-quality links embedded in widgets;
any sort of links that still intends to manipulate PageRank;
forum comments with optimized links.
Here are some data we looked for:
the percentage of unnatural links, suspect links and OK links;
most uncommon unnatural link issues;
the percentage of brand and commercial anchor text;
webpage type, link positioning and web category for unnatural links only;
nofollow and dofollow links for the whole backlinks profile;
nofollow and dofollow links for the unnatural links only;
high and good Domain Influence for the whole backlink profile and for the unnatural links only;
the average Domain Influence for the whole backlinks profile and for the unnatural links only.
  And for each metric analyzed and discussed in the present article we classified the unnatural backlink profile into 4 categories:
with 0-10% unnatural links out of the total links;
11-30 % unnatural links out of the total links;
31-50% unnatural links out of the total links;
over 50% unnatural links out of the total links.
