Videogames I wish were real #94
Once upon a time, a mermaid refused to abandon her home in the ocean and exchange her tail for a pair of legs so she could be with the man she loved. The human prince, affronted by what he perceived as a betrayal, declared war upon all merfolk as his first edict as king. Ever since, humans and mermaids have been at war.
In this open world game you'll play as a mermaid, and get a lot of freedom about how you wish to spend your time: be in living a peaceful existence in the ocean tending to your algae farm, hunting dangerous deep sea predators such as krakens and leviathans... or by sabotaging or sinking human vessels. However, not all human kingdoms are at war with merfolk, and even the citizens of those kingdoms that are at war with you might not wish to fight you, so you may end up striking unlikely friendships and unexpected alliances: merchants might offer you bribes, pirates might wish to team up to take down common enemies, and there might even be humans who wish to become mermaids and request your help to become part of your world.
This VIWWR was inspired by a comment @guppygirl made in another one of my posts (VIWWR #2)

Videogames I wish were real #16
You used to be the creature that makes one sock disappear, but you've turned a new leaf and decided to use your powers for good. Now people (but mostly kids) around the world know to call to you when they need to hide something from someone. Secret diary? A test they flunked? Birthday present for a sibling? Engagement ring? Whatever it is, it's your job to hide it in this sandbox reverse puzzle game. You will have several minutes to find the perfect spot to hide it in before the person they are trying to hide it from walks into the room and spends a couple minutes looking for it. If they find it, you lose, if they don't, you win. The longer it takes them to find it the better score you'll get. It can either be played solo or co-op where one person hides the object and the other tries to find it.

So i just went to reread You came this far just to become a Monster, and it suddenly hit me that its been almost a year since you updated it. It does NOT seem like its been that long, feels like you only updated a few weeks ago, damn
GAH thank you!! I'm so sorry this has taken ages for me to respond because my life has literally been So Much (tm) recently, and its also why I still havent updated the fic in ages (though I want to! I'm so close to finishing it)
I've been hit with paralysis over worrying if the ending will be good enough or worthwhile and I need to just sit down and churn it out so I can truly put a lid on that part of the whole project because holy shit has it been a YEAR
