Fit check

Always such a silly goose. 🪿

Also here is a picture of a cute dog I saw on the subway and my shoes and socks for fit check. The dog climbed onto his owner's laps like a little puppy the way Dexter does. Made me miss him after being separated for 20 minutes.

Oh and I have to say I just love love love when girls do that shy look away and shrug and blush and smile and say thank you and giggle a little when you give them a compliment after checking them out a bit. I'm not sure if she caught me checking her. But onb my way off the subway I had to throw her a compliment so I told her I liked her socks. I know what women like. 😎

My POV: Fashion

Fashion is not really my thing. A pair of jeans, a cute top and comfy shoes are pretty enough to describe my 'normal' fashion way. But of course, when it comes to events, travels, celebrations, and parties– that's a different story. I need to borrow some ideas from other people/celebrities! Hehe, PLUS… we should not belittle ourselves when we wear regular casual clothes daily because as long as you are comfortable and confident in what you wear, you are eligible to do… OOTDS! 

These questions were sent to me by my lovely friend who was doing her research project related to Fashion last year. It's good to share here on the blog to give you a huuuuge glimpse of what I am thinking and looking at when it comes to Fashion that you might consider, too. :) 

How do you define "Fashion"? 

Fashion defines my creativity to show off my true self and character by choosing styles of my clothes. This is where I reveal my personal identity, too!

Do you consider yourself a trendsetter or an avid follower? What holds your grounds and Why? 

I am an avid follower because this would help me become a trendsetter in the future. Following not just one but several celebrities and artists online, filtering their wrong sides and adapting their good ones, who wouldn't think eventually you would find yourself better in the long run? They said a follower and a student are more significant than their master and teacher. Because they get different learnings from different people. The only thing that makes them stick to their ground is to stay humble and never forget those people who inspired and helped them when they had only imagination. That would be my final ground as an avid follower.

What do you think are the upsides of being a trendsetter? What are its downsides? Why? 

Trendsetter nowadays is what people aim for. Trendsetters are the famous, creative, influential and explorative types of people. Whatever they declare to be a fashion trend, people always follow. But on the downside part, it's scary. You need adequate resources to achieve the trend people want to engage with. Putting up a trend that would last longer takes effort, energy, time and dedication.

Do you find mimicking styles positive or negative? Why?

It is better to say that it is positive if you adapt a current style so that you come up with a new version of the style. I would love to hear people saying, "From this style, I've come up with a new version." And turns out your craft is much better and more beautiful. In that case, you are not mimicking someone else's craft but instead getting inspired and something unique. I don't like people stealing other people's ideas. It is unfair because it was from his own creativity and revelation when he explored. If you want a unique style, research, not just copy other's field notes.

Does your hype in Fashion impact your perspective on how successful people should look or be?

Yes. As I stated earlier, Fashion is more about revealing your true self and identity. If you think you are a professional nurse, you will wear professionally (propertied hair, light makeup and a presentable smile). You would wear decent, unwrinkled clothes if you feel you are a respectable businessman. Successful people should be organised and present themselves in front of others. They must avoid unprofessional images because this may enslave their career to people's judgment and misperceptions.

What are the essential features of a fashion website that will make you a subscriber? Why? 

Put something on their website that would engage women's eyes: A colourful/minimalist layout, a catchy title post like strategy on how…, tips and tricks, hacks, how to be simple yet classy, how to put casual into something appealing, interview to a famous fashion designer, etc. Something that a reader would be curious about and, of course, full of hows. Also, a friendly approach on a website, such as a welcome home or small freebies, will encourage the reader to subscribe. :)

In Fashion, there's no right or wrong way to do it. It's all about expressing yourself and feeling confident in what you wear. Whether you're a trendsetter or an avid follower, there's always room for creativity and personalisation. Remember, Fashion is subjective, and there's beauty in simplicity. Mimicking styles can be positive if you adapt them to create something unique, and success is all about presenting yourself in the best possible light. When it comes to fashion websites, engaging content and a friendly approach can go a long way in attracting and retaining subscribers.
