Downtown Bonfire

Mak had shown up a little while after the festival started. She wasn’t sure what to wear, so she opted for an outfit that was cute but comfy. Deciding that she’d want to start the festivities off right, with food and dancing, she made her way to the bonfire downtown, passing by a few familiar faces before she got lost among the throng of bodies on the outskirts of all the dancing. All the smiling faces and moving bodies were enticing, and she wasn’t even talking about those who were fucking around among the crowd. 

All the people dancing just seemed to be genuinely having fun. And Mak wanted to be a part of that, unable to recall the last time she really let herself have some wild, carefree fun. So, she let someone nearby take her by the hand and pull her into the crowd, her body instantly falling into beat with the others as the two moved together, against each other. 

When hands found her hips and tugged her over and turned her around, she smiled at the other, continuing her movements with her new partner.

Jolene watched the other as they seemed to fumble with the garment in their hands. The prisoner was flustered, and Jolene was waiting, slowly losing patience as they seemed to be struggling to find an excuse. When she rented the other, she didn’t realize they intended to leave with full pockets. Not only did they help themselves to a pack of her cigarettes, but they also took a little souvenir: the panties she shed right before they got down to business. 

“You really thought stealing from me was a good idea?” The chthonic laughed. “Give me one reason I shouldn’t strip you naked and walk you through town on a leash with those stuffed in your mouth.” She hissed the words, her attention shifting to the newcomer who must have caught the tail end of the discussion.

The elysian was laying back and relaxing for a bit, finally soaking in the downtime he had. He debated just letting the silence and serenity embrace him before someone showed up, but he wasn’t so sure he wanted complete silence. So instead, he had his laptop open beside him, his headphones synced up so he could listen to what he had playing. He had it up pretty high so the sound would surround him, but his super sensitive hearing was still able to pick up the knock at the door. 

“You can come on in, it’s open.” His voice carried as he moved to sit up to greet his visitor.

The vampire stepped out into the early morning sun, the city was still quite quiet, most already likely preparing to start their day. Raes? Well, she had started it late last night once a client had departed the city. She’d made arrangements to meet a contact of hers to do a little recon work, the other helping dismantle any security systems and feeds and masking their scents and presence in the building. While Rae made quick work of retrieving what they had come for: a collection of emerald jewelry set in 24kt gold. The buyer offered the pair a hefty price to retrieve it, and they made good on their word. 

The two left in opposite directions from the clients building. Rae had the collection well hidden among her things, wrapped in cloths to mask any scent or sound they may make in their hiding spot. As she crossed the street, she slowed as someone was heading right for her, their attention obviously locked on her. “Enjoying the early morning air too?” She greeted the other with a cool smile.
