Day 339 art meditation,

Tapping into my big Joy! Experimenting with my art. Holding that space and not running away from the vulnerability of it. Always showing up for myself. I do SO believe in the things that are not here yet, and in paths that are not visible, the answers that haven’t yet come. It’s such a wide inner space. Life is changing every day. I’m trying so hard not to get in my own way. I am pretty amazed how much happiness comes out of putting pieces of paper art on my head. I am allowing myself to be this happy and to really intentionally step into it. I am observing how I do at some point in the day shut down again, and I know that I want to hold my inner open-space longer, the non-shut down space. Aim to hold it open a little longer every day. I need to remember that art will always lead me to a new space, inwardly and outwardly. Awareness is everything …

It is important to speak out

We’re in a world where the good are damned if they speak out for others and also damned if they keep quiet. Gary Lineker chose to speak out. I speak out through my blog. But the universe doesn't expect us to turn a blind eye, and where there is conflict and people are being displaced, it has become even more important for those in a privileged position to speak out

I'm using Gary Lineker, A BBC Sports presenter as an example. He put a tweet out over asylum policy and found himself in hot water for speaking out, suspended briefly pending an investigation into his tweet, then was reinstated a few days later, rightly so.

Responding to replies to the tweet, Lineker described the government’s new plan to detain and deport migrants arriving by boat as “an immeasurably cruel policy directed at the most vulnerable people". It's true.

When I look at myself, I see a shell of who I was, but I see a tiny glimpse of who I’m becoming. I’m disappointed in myself for falling back. I’m mad at myself for looking to others for my happiness when I know damn well it’s within me and up to me to continually seek out. I’ve been pretty anxious waiting for people to want to hang out with me but I know if they wanted to then they would be here. I’ve been depressed because my kids want to spend time with me but the more they demand it, the more drained I am. I’m feeling burnt out and I’m not sure how to recharge at this point. I just want in person adult interaction on an intellectual level without drugs and alcohol but it just seems like so much to ask for. My heart hurts so much anymore. It’s making me shut out the few people that text me or message me because I don’t want to bleed on people who didn’t cut me. I need good company with people that want to try new things. Being free means being able to open your life wide enough to let someone in and really bond with them. If you seek freedom, allow yourself to love. This is the real freedom. . But in order to be able to love another person, there’s someone you need to love first: yourself. Without this kind of love, you can’t unlock any other kinds of love, for anybody. . I learned how to love myself. And to me it meant to nurture my inner child. This archaic creature inside of me who thinks she’s a prey. Who’s constantly afraid because everything and everyone is a threat to her. . I had to teach her, that there’s nothing to be afraid of. I had to tell her that I got her. That she’s safe. And that no matter what happens, we’ll figure something out. I had to tell this child everything that no one told me when I was as vulnerable and dependent as she is. And it’s by doing so, that I came out of dependency, that I became autonomous. That I started to love myself, and therefore, to be able to love others. . The opposite of dependent is not independent. It’s autonomous. Because we’re all INTERdependent. We need each others. And I need to be autonomous, in order to let myself be interdependent with others, let them help me. Let them love me. Let them in. Let them share my life. I need to love other people to be able to love myself, to be able to love others. ♻️ And to open my life to them, fearlessly.
