The main details I'm figuring out right now are

does Celebrimbor still die at Eregion - I don't think he's getting captured/tortured, but he could still die in the battle. On the other hand, he could probably survive by using Narya & Lomion using Nenya, but that would definitely have repercussions further down the line

how does Idril's deal work - I'm currently thinking of Idril exchanging the location of Gondolin for her family's guaranteed safety, because it seems in character for Reverse Idril? But on the other hand, even if I limit it to immediate family at the time of the oath (tuor, turgon, earendil) then idk where turgon dies? Maybe Maglor can kill him but that seems kind of random

where and how does Turgon die

how does Prince Elrond's character even work

how does Numenor still fall when factoring in Prince Elrond - I'm thinking that the morgoth death cult gained enough traction during the time sauron was there that even after Elrond kicks him out, the cult still sticks around and reemerges later? The Fall still happens, but they never go to attack valinor and there's a good deal more Faithful (maybe 40-60%?)

They were both victims of abduction and presumably the least favorite children of Zeus. Ares was mocked and said he would have been thrown into Tartarus if he wasn't Zeus' son. Persephone was not despised as much, Zeus just didn't care about her wish and well-being as his other children (and don't get me STARTED on the Orphic mythology)

They can bond over their trauma. I canonized Persephone as an older sister to Ares and was abducted before he was. She can help tend to his wounds and comfort him when he has nightmares.

They talked over the nights about how scary it was to be locked away in a dark place with no one looking for them and have to rely on the mercy of their captor.

They laughed and cried and held each other tight. They have survived and will heal as time passes. And they know they won't have to do it alone.

hey i just read the new chapter (kinda late i know), and i loved it but you got the halal meat part wrong, you can’t make meat halal, anything that isn’t pork is halal, according to the Qur’an muslims can’t eat pork, and bismilah (which means in allah’s (god’s) name) is what you say to keep the devil from eating with you, that’s why they say it, (i’m not trying to be hateful, just trying to educate)

Based on both my research and my discussion with one of my Muslim readers, in order for the meat to be Halal it must come from an animal that is slaughtered and prepared correctly.

Such as how the animal is killed, the blood being drained from the carcass, and the use of a blessing (tasmiya or shahada?).

Is this not the case?

Not to point out other Vietnamese words that people tend to mispronounce, but I often hear “Banh Mi” (Pronounced something like “Bahn Me”) pronounced “bon me”

I know people are trying their best because Viet is a terrible, terrible language but it does always surprise me a little bit lol
