Tips That Helped Me Lose 25 Lbs in 6 Months:
Cut out the sugary drinks. Buy yourself a large refillable water bottle, fill it up, & take it with you everywhere. If you don't like water or want something with more flavor, buy the crystal light packets (5 calories) or the Mio water flavoring (0 calories) & add them to your water. Diet Pop is also zero calories, & no it does not make you gain weight. Just obviously don't drink it all. 1-2 a day are perfectly fine.
Make coffee at home. If you're a starbucks, tim hortons, etc coffee girly, this one is for you. Buy the Sugar Free Torani flavoring syrup, mix it with some almond milk, pour it into your coffee, add a stevia packet. Honestly it tastes great & it's only like 15 calories, compared to a 200 calorie drink at starbucks or tim hortons.
Increase your amount of steps in a day. I aim for at least 10,000 steps a day. But you can start off lower than that! Start off with 5,000 and work your way up. You can get these steps in by doing anything you want. Your phone can track your steps for you so you don't even need to buy a step counter if you don't want to. Just keep your phone on you all day, most people do anyway.
Always keep a "healthy" snack on you. If you're on the go & you get a little hungry, this will help keep you from just stopping to grab fast food or buying a bag of chips.
Eating 60-80% healthy. Balance is key. Don't give up everything you love, otherwise you'll be miserable & just give up. We are aiming for a lifestyle change, not a quick fix diet. It is not realistic for you to NEVER eat the foods you love ever again. It's ok to enjoy life & still lose weight/maintain.
Don't focus on the way you look or the scale. Focus on how you feel. That's what is most important.
The 15 Minute Rule. If you don't feel like working out, tell yourself you're just going to do a 15 minute simple work out. After 15 minutes is up, if you want to stop, then stop. At least you got a little bit of movement in. But 95% of the time, you'll want to keep going. If you tell yourself you're going to do this long, hard work out, odds are you probably aren't going to go. It's overwhelming.

HEY. hey. listen. get a block of tofu. EXTRA FIRM. SUPER FIRM. make sure it's FIRM. put it in your freezer. DONT take it out of the package first. wait. take it out of the freezer. put it in the fridge. wait.
when it's thawed you gotta squish it. for a while. you have to get the liquid out. i use a tofu press with rubber bands and stuff. you can use whatever though. as long as it can go back in the fridge.
put it back in the fridge. wait. wait like at least a day. maybe three. you can forget about it for a little while.
remember the tofu. get excited. take it out of its press. put it on a cutting board and marvel at how much smaller and denser it is now. remember how you froze it. think about how the water in the block crystalized and tore up the inside of the tofu in a way that will let it absorb as much flavor as possible. it's a honeycomb in there now. it's different.
cut the block into cubes. heat up a pan. i use coconut oil. put in the tofu. add a splash of soy sauce, a splash of sesame oil. use a wooden spoon. move it around. let it sit for a while. add another splash of sauce, of oil. layer the flavors. let it set. let it crisp. maybe add another dash of sauce at the end.
kill the heat. put the tofu into a tupperware you kept from chinese takeout a million years ago. spoon some of the tofu over whatever you want. noodles. rice. vegetables. i don't know. maybe add some red pepper flakes. more soy sauce. whatever you want.
eat it. think about how you wish you'd learned tofu could be this good years ago. revel in the delight that you can get five or six servings out of a single block of tofu, a block that costs less than $5. think about other things you can do with tofu now that you know. think about how many other things you'll love that you just haven't learned about yet. remind yourself there are things in the world worth sticking around for.
go on the internet and write a long post about how to cook tofu. hope it lets someone learn it earlier than you did. be well.

Ninjago knows how to write really good likable villains and how to write good dislikable villains
Take the serpentine for example: they’re so funny and Scales was very redeeming in later seasons and Pythor was an amazing villain but also incredibly funny and enjoyable to watch
on the other hand we have my most hated villain nadakan: he just is a creep for wanting to marry nya and is insanely power hungry
and we also have kalmar from seabound who I absolutely despise
but most of the villains I really like bc they’re either funny or have redeemable qualities
like captain soto with his peg leg and “pajama men” and Ronan just bc he’s a good character and enjoyable to watch interact with everyone else
the overlord was not my favorite villain but also not my least favorite he was just meh like he was there for a good plot and a good villain fight but his first few appearances weren’t my favorite when he came back in crystallized was my personal fav appearance of him
also chen I just hate that man he’s so fucking annoying
once again harumi is an amazing villain and a much darker character which I enjoy bc it adds some flavor to the show that older kids enjoy when younger kids don’t see the underlying theme
personally undead garmadon is my fav version of him just because there’s this certain ruthlessness to him that is just much more enjoyable to watch and it also puts a strain on Lloyd which makes his character arcs much more important
the oni aren’t too big of a plot point but they aren’t my favorite villains either they just didn’t add anything to the story
time twins are in the middle too they were enjoyable to watch interact with each other and the ninja but I just didn’t really like the season all that much it was a great season for Kai and nya since their parents and all but other than that it wasn’t my fav
king whatever his name is the one from the season with cole’s mom wasn’t my fav either he was just super annoying I wanted to punch him in the face
esphira was an okay villain definitely not my favorite either she was also pretty annoying with her whole revenge thing
those are all of the main villains I can think of but if I’m missing any pls feel free to tell me but yeah that’s my rant on ninjago villains

"Finally, Got them all puréed!" Ace cheers, hands in the air before he slumps his shoulders. Besides him is a tired Deuce resting against the counter.
"My arms are killing me." He silently says.
"Kids these days are pretty weak.." The mainstreet ghost says, none of you know why he's here but he's been a huge help so nobody really cares.
"Now then," Trey speaks, adjusting his glasses. "I just need to add butter and sugar to the chestnut paste, and a sensible splash of oyster sauce– that's my secret ingredient!"
Everybody snaps their heads towards him, eyes wide and jaws dropped.
"OYSTER SAUCE??" The cards yell in confusion, clearly astounded at what Trey just said.
"Yep. The umami of the oysters gives the cream a deep, savory flavor. I use this one here: Walrus-brand Young Oyster Sauce. All the best bakers use it in their tarts." Trey innocently explains, innocently to them– at least. Already knowing the joke, you instead turn your attention to the chestnuts paste.
'Just a little taste..' You think, reaching your hand out while everyone is distracted. Unfortunately, the ghost catches you and bonks you on the head with a whisk.
With a huff, you turn your attention back to the rest as Deuce speaks. "Really? But isn't oyster sauce like, super salty?"
"Some folks put chocolate into curry, don't they? Maybe it's the same idea." Ace suggests, though the look on his face means he doesn't entirely believe it.
Unable to restrain from smiling, the green haired lets out a boisterous laugh– clearly entertained by their confusion and naivety. "Pfft- Aha!"
The two turn their heads with perplexed expressions as Trey explains. "I'm totally lying! No one in their right mind would put oyster sauce into a pastry."
Ace and Deuce blink, "EH?!" The two shout, embarrassed with how they believed him so easily.
"So you were just yankin' our chain?!" Ace huffs, annoyed.
"Consider it a lesson to not believe people so easily." Trey chuckles, Grim sends a glare at him.
"This guy seems nice, yet he can tell lies like they're nothing.."
Swiftly changing the topic, Trey sets his gaze back on the task at hand. "Now, we take some cream and.. Oh!"
"Something up?"
"I got too carried away and made too much marron paste." Trey says. "We don't have enough cream to mix it into."
"I can go and buy some," Deuce offers. "Is it sold at the school store?"
"Should be. You can find practically anything there. Mind if I ask you to pick up a few other things while you're there? Two cartons of milk, a dozen eggs, some aluminum baking cups, and about five cans of fruit..."
"I don't think I can carry all that alone. Would you mind coming with me, Y/n?" Deuce asks, turning to face you– stopping Grim from rummaging through the fridge.
"Sure thing!" You nod, grabbing Grim with you as you head out the door.

Upon entering the store, you are overwhelmed at the sight of various colors surrounding the place. From snacks to trinkets, drinks and rugs, hats, masks, books– you can find just about anything in here.
'My school store didn't even have milk..' You sigh.
"Pardon us." Deuce says, taking a look around in awe. "This place is amazing.. crystal skulls, grimoires.. What kinda texidermy is this?"
"Does this place reallly sell cream?" Grim pipes in, trying to paw at the strange orb on the counter before you stop him.
"Hey, my lost little imps!" A booming voice speaks up, you turn to see an eccentric man clad in purple. "Welcome to Mr. S's mystery shop!" He welcomes, before turning your attention to all sorts of strange things.
"What can I do for you today? A charm for uncharted lands? Mummy of an ancient king–" How does he have that? "Or perhaps some cursed tarot cards?" Why does he have that?
"We've got a list here.." Deuce interrupts, handing him the piece of paper. Sam carefully reads the list and nods.
"You've got quite the sweet lineup, okay! Coming right up." He says, walking off to gather the stuff.
While waiting, you decide to look around the store, you peek through shelved of sweets and sauces, to comics like "That time I got forced into a demon school" or "I woke up as a lowly dumb evil villainous character and slowly leveled up and became a god."
What a mouthful.
Then– Something shiny in one of the boxes caught your eye, you grab it to observe closer. Hard, long, a metalic gray in color, somewhat heavy.. Perfect for self defense, perhaps.
"Y/n, something caught your eye?" The blue haired boy asks, peeking through your shoulder.
You turn around and show him the object in your hands. "I want this."
"...A metal bat?"
"Yep."
Grim and Deuce stay silent in concern, questioning why you would need something like that.
"You're not gonna kill someone, are ya?"
"Grim!"
Deuce shushed the beast, before hesitantly turning back to you– who is just staring at them blankly.
"I just like shiny objects." That was of course a lie.
"I see.." Deuce lets out a sigh of relief, though he doesn't seem entirely convinced.
Sam steps in, carrying the bags. "Sorry for the wait." He says as you take it from his hands.
"Sammy, can I get this bat too?" You ask.
"Sure thing!"
Deuce pays for the ingredients while you pay for your bat, which is surprisingly very cheap. The three of you (with you grabbing Grim before he knocks something off the shelves.) step out the store with a quick thanks to Sam.
"Yuu, that bag of cans looks heavy." Deuce says, turning to you. "Let me take it, there's a trick to carrying heavy bags." He offers.
"There is?"
"Yeah, my mom always bought more than needed during sales. Since I'm the only guy in the house, it was up to me to do the heavy lifting.." He pauses, giving you an apologetic look. "My bad! didn't mean to talk your ears off.."
You give him a polite and sincere smile, "You must really care for your mom.
The blue haired boy seemed takened back by your words and smile, flustered and hesitant to speak. However, as he processes your words, the look on his face is quickly replaced by a dark and gloomy espression. "That's not true, I always made mom-"
Before he could finish, someone bumps into him, causing the bags in his hands to drop to the ground– crushing the eggs inside.
"Agh! The eggs!" Grim squawked, Deuce takes one look at the bag– the yellow liquid oozing out and into the concrete ground below.
"Shit! The whole pack of eggs, destroyed!" He curses to himself.
"Hey, watch where you're going!" The boy that bumped into him says, he fixes his sight onto Deuce and quickly remembers who he is. "Hang on, aren't you the pieces of shits that ruined my carbonara?"
As he says this, his friend blinks and turns to you, squeaking at the sight of your unnerving stare and the tight grip you have on the metal bat near your hip. He grips onto the foul mouthed boy.
"D-dude! Calm down, let's apologize and leave already!" He begs, his voice cracking in desperation.
"What, you scared? Don't be a wuss, they were just lucky that time!" Idiot number 1 responds, but guessing by the sweat forming on the side of his cheeks and the way his eyes frantically switch from looking to you, the bat, and anywhere else, he was afraid.
As if his entire life was enlightened, the one with more common sense threw that sense out the window as he nodded. Turning to you with narrowed eyes and tightened fists. "You guys seriously just can't get out of trouble.."
Deuce stayed silent for a bit, then took a deep breath, "You were the ones who jumped out from behind the corner." He said calmly, though you see from the corner of your eye how his shoulders tensed.
"Even at lunch, it wasn't as if you couldn't eat the egg anymore, and yet you still tried to pick a fight with us. You do realize you just ruined a whole pack of our eggs, don't you?"
"Yeah yeah!" Grim piped in, cheering the navy blue haired on. His claws are out and his eyes are narrowed in a cutely menacing way.
"And? You sayin' it's our fault?" Idiot number 1 says, really reinforcing his idiocy by questioning something very obvious to anyone with half a brain.
"Yes." Deuce flatly says. "Please pay for the eggs, and apologize to the chickens too."
At that, your body shook– not from fear or rage but from the sheer will of your entire mind, soul, and body trying not to burst out laughing as the scene replayed in your head. Your face contorts into a strange wrinkled expression as you took a deep breath.
"Huh? They're just eggs, what are you gettin' so worked up about?" Idiot number 2 says, it astonished you how much of a hypocrite one can be.
"..Excuse me?"
They looked at Deuce with mocking grins, pointing at the eggs– idiot number 1 speaks. "They ain't on the ground, so you can still eat them. Don't sweat the small stuff."
Ah, they weren't being hypocrites, they were being assholes.
'That makes a whole lot more sense.' You turn to Deuce, seeing how he seethed in anger– his fist shook and his whole body looked tense as he looked down with a shadow cast over his eyes.
"We saved you a ton of time breaking them!"
"Ahahaha!"
God, their laughs were as obnoxious as their faces. It took everything in you to not bash in their face right then and there.
"Laughing matter.."
"Huh?"
You really shouldn't, since Deuce is the one who will.
"I SAID THIS ISN'T A LAUGHING MATTER, YOU ASSHOLES!" The delinquents flinched at the volume of his voice– sneering at them with a look of distaste, his veins popping out as he reached his hands out and grabbed idiot number 1 by the collar.
"What makes you think you get to decide what matters to us?! See those eggs? They were gonna become a delicious tart to make up for not gettin' to hatch into chicks! That makin' sense to your thick heads or what?! Huh?!" He spat out in a fit of rage.
Idiot number 1 quickly released himself from Deuce's grip with the help of his friend– squirming back as his heart thumped and face was a sweaty mess.
"E-eek!! What's up with this guy all of the sudden?" Idiot number 2's voice cracked, shrinking back at the intense glare of Deuce.
"If you don't wanna pay for the six eggs you broke.. then I hope you're ready to get punched in that same amount!"
"WHAA?!"
"SQUARE UP YOU PIECES OF SHITS!"
Oh boy this is not safe for work, "GRIM AVERT YOUR EYES!"

✨The Moonshiners’ Menu✨
Tumblr media
So it looks like you have found our blog (or at the very least this post, drifting along the deep blue river of Tumblr). Welcome!
If you have a thing for beautifully drawn and dapperly dressed fictional feline criminals from the 1920s (be that “thing” a platonic fondness or romantic attraction... or even an eldritch cactus), you’ve come to the perfect place! Step right up and quench your thirst with our following selection:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oneshot On The Rocks:
Rich and full-bodied with a deep, soulful amber shine. The serving size may only equal a single chapter, but in exchange for the lack of wordiness it is sufficiently potent. Soft or bold, tragic or harsh, sweet or (for the more daring) spicy - all those nuances will be tailored to the requester.
(Translated into common tongue: we do fluff, angst, crack, anything in-between, but no smut. Dirty jokes or suggestive references, sure, but actual erotica's off the table. Please pick another tavern to indulge your unorthodox desires of that sort.)
Tumblr media
Headcanon Home-Brew:
Clear, undiluted character; an essence of the purest kind. Bullet-pointed brews based in our very own interpretations of the cast, personally prepared for pretty much any theme under the sun so long as it ties back to a relationship with the reader in one way or another.
(Oh yeah, right, I forgot to add. Any relationship type goes! Lovers, friends, siblingly bonds, adoption, whatever the heck. Not everyone wants to smooch the kitties, and that is more than alright. We serve whatever sort of affection is needed.)
Tumblr media
Scenario Cider:
A ripe golden concoction blooming with the smooth taste of apple orchards. Fragrant and foamy, it has a delectable tease of plot... or semblances thereof; it is not fully a Oneshot, not a Headcanon cocktail either, but something to satisfy tastes in-between that blends the strongest points of both.
(We retain the right to refuse service, a.k.a not do a request, if we are not comfortable with it for whatever reason. We shall likely expand on these rules in the future if more disclaimer-worthy details emerge.)
Tumblr media
Absinthe Imagine:
A herbaceous chartreuse refreshment dripping with indulgent abandon. Mostly it can be described as an idea, a thesis, a feeling poured into crystal-polished words and gently whispered over the counter like a wistful secret. May remind a bit of Headcanons, as they're similarly concentrated, but more loose and situation-like.
(Oh, and one more thing; we write at our own pace and have some rather busy lives outside of this lovely hellsite, so please be patient with us! We're doing our best! As well, true quality doesn't exactly develop quick, heh.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Which is all very fine and well, but, a reader insert isn’t quite a reader insert without the characters themselves! At the moment we are able to provide the following “flavors” from Lackadaisy’s cast of beloved kitties:
🔥 Roark "Rocky" Rickaby 🔥
⚾ Calvin “Freckle” McMurray ⚾
🎶 Ivy Pepper 🎶
⚒️ Viktor Vasko ⚒️
🍷 Mitzi May 🍷
🎷 Dorian “Zib” Zibowski 🎷
✒️ Mordecai Heller ✒️
🔮 Serafine Savoy 🔮
🐊 Nicodeme "Nico" Savoy 🐊
💎 Sedgewick Sable 💎
(Regarding rarer flavors (side characters from the comics not included here), most we can offer is a couple drops (some headcanons or maybe short scenarios/imagines), but don't let that stop you from ordering whatever your little heart desires! Just don't expect it to be particularly lengthy.)

✨Magical Motivating Strawberry Rosemary Sorbet✨
Having trouble sticking with a project or a daily practice? Do you have big plans but you’re not quite sure how to start? Might I suggest a delicious strawberry spell!
Strawberries contain the magic of devotion to fertility (and no I don’t mean it that way.) You can ask strawberry to help you devote yourself to a meaningful practice where you may not see the fruits of your labor for a while. Think learning an instrument, starting a business, or sticking with actually journaling every day.
Reproducing primarily through runners, strawberry gives of herself until the young plants are well established, and can even support the runners into maturity if there is no viable soil around. Strawberry is all about support and follow through. The mantra I used for this spell follows that logic. “I see my projects through and give of myself what is needed of me.” Here’s hoping this gets me motivated to finish my web design project!
Sorbet Supplies✨
🍓Blender
🍓Ice Cream Maker
Magical Supplies✨
🍓Candle (orange for motivation, or white for general purposes)
🍓Crystals (tiger’s eye for shaking off lethargy, amethyst for purpose, and a clear quartz point to direct the energy. It’s also fine to not have crystals!)
Ingredients✨
🍓2 Quarts of Strawberries (ideally fresh and in-season, but frozen or out of season will work too!)
🍓Juice of Less Than One Lemon (to balance flavor)
🍓Pinch of Salt (to balance flavor)
🍓Fresh Rosemary (1 medium sprig) (to protect your intentions)
🍓1 cup of sugar
🍓A few tablespoons of water (just enough to make a simple syrup with the sugar)
🍓Fresh Chamomile Flowers for Garnish (or an extra couple rosemary needles or skip the garnish)
Instructions✨
1. Make some magic. Light your candle and bring in your relevant crystals.
2. If your berries are fresh and not frozen, wash em!
3. Decapitate your berries (cut the green tops off.) You can use a little knife or melon baller or even your thumb nail.
4. Enchant your berries. Hold as many of them as you can in your cupped hands and imagine an orange mist swirling around them while you say your mantra. When you’re done, drop them in the blender and blend them until consistent, then add to a large mixing bowl. (If you have too many berries for the blender cup, blend the berries in batches.)
5. Mince the rosemary. You should have about a tablespoon minced. Then, cup the minced rosemary in your hands and enchant it with a white light of protection. Then add it to a saucepan.
6. Add your sugar and water to that saucepan, with the heat on medium high. Make sure you add enough water for it to be a syrup and not a caramel. Maybe 3-4 tablespoons, maybe more. Stir to dissolve, and then turn the heat down to very low and simmer for 5 minutes. Turn off the heat and rest the syrup with the lid on for a few minutes to let the flavor infuse.
7. Add 2/3rds of the syrup to the strawberry purée along with a tablespoon of lemon juice and a pinch of salt. Stir to combine. Stir longer than you think you will need to, because the mix is thick and the flavors won’t distribute unless you distribute them with purpose. Taste, and then add more syrup if needed. It should taste slightly sweeter than you would like, because freezing mellows the sweetness. Keep adjusting and mixing until it tastes right.
8. Add it to your ice cream maker and churn until thick but not totally set (it’ll finish setting up in the freezer.) 15 minutes to a half hour. Freeze for at least 2 hours before scooping.
9. Scoop and garnish with edible flowers or leftover fresh rosemary needles.
10. Eat with intent :)

My We Happy Few Bobby OC.
Lionel F. Edwards
(I'll add more to this periodically.)
Tumblr media
(If I could draw I would draw him, but I can't so we'll just use this picture, and imagine the changes I've made lmao.)
Notable features - Lionel has sandy blond hair, which is a little longer than most of his co-workers, but he keeps it swept back and proper. His right eye is a crystal blue, while his left eye is a honey brown. Under his happy mask he hides several scars, which he obtained from a downer some time ago. He has several other scars littering his body, but the worse he has, aside from his face, is on his ribs, and he can't remember how he got them. For someone that spends so much time outside Lionel is pretty pale. His ears are pierced, and he has no idea when it happened, or who might have done it, and no one seems to even notice the silver studs in his ears.
Personality - He's surprisingly shy, at least when he is around someone he either finds attractive, or just straight intimidating. Super sweet with the ones he loves. Will be a teddy bear and total cuddle bug with his SO. He's honestly nicer than most other bobby's. Freak in the sheets, gentleman in the streets! Loves autumn and winter like so much. He just loves the cold because of how high his body temperature always runs. Man's a walking furnace, like seriously. Loyal AF, he'd do anything and I mean anything for his SO. A bit insecure about his scars, and even his height, so he relishes in any reassurance his SO gives him. Loves playfully spooking his SO, but doesn't startle very easily himself.
Age - 32 his birthday is December 6th.
Height - He's a tall man, even compared to his co-workers. Standing at a staggering 7'3". (The bobby's and doctors are very tall, some people have guessed that they are 7'0" or taller.)
Build - Broad shoulders, bit lanky like most of the other bobby's, but Lionel is also pretty strong, not quite shredded mind you, but still surprisingly muscled. Heavier than he looks as well.
Scent - He smells of vanilla, honey, and his natural manly musk, with earthy and cherry undertones.
Love interest - (Y/n) (Y/l/n).
Tumblr media
Interests - Joy, music, (Y/n), art, uncle Jacks shows, mystery books, photography.
Dislikes - Downers, talk of plague, yams, and vanilla Joy because it leaves a funny aftertaste in his mouth.
Weaknesses - Fresh pie, grapefruit juice, and of course (Y/n).
Sexual interests - Breeding kink, size kink (and no, I'm not talking about him being tall.), food play, light bondage, biting, praise, body warship, public sex, he's naturally dominate, but he kinda really loves when (Y/n) takes control.
District - St. Georges Holm.
Favorite flavor Joy - Chocolate was always his favorite, but he's grown a liking for the new coconut flavor Joy.
Hobbies - Painting/drawing, reading, and spending as much free time as he can with (Y/n), and taking pictures with his Polaroid, especially pictures of (Y/n). (Man's madly in love y'all)
Friends - Really only friends with (Y/n), and a co-worker named Frank. (However Franks been on holiday for some time now.)
Family - Can't honestly remember any. Maybe he had a sister? Or a brother perhaps?
Favorite song - ↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓
youtube
Favorite color - Purple is his all time favorite, but he also loves bright orange, and sea green.
Favorite foods - Lionel is a simple man, so a V-meat sandwich, with a side of blue currant berries is divine in his book. Also loves dipping apple slices in honey. And coffee yogurt, he's not really supposed to have it, because it messes with his belly some, but he loves it regardless and will suffer the rumblies for it.
Fears - Spiders, puppets, and loosing (Y/n).
Miscellaneous notes - His hands are huge, soft and littered with small scars. He has freckles that dust his shoulders. His right ear rings almost constantly, after the fight with the downer that he got his facial scars from. His hands shake a little, but they always still the moment he picks up a brush or pen. The F in his name stands for Francis, and he hates the name, so much so he was even reluctant to tell (Y/n) what his middle name is. Even with Joy Lionel suffers from nightmares, he suppresses them, but with (Y/n) by his side, his nightmares don't plague his mind. He loves loves, loves playing with (Y/n)s hair.
How (Y/n) met him - "Miss what are you doing out here?" The Bobby asked approaching the woman watching the sunset. "It's beautiful." She muttered... Continue reading story here.
When Lionel asked (Y/n) out - His hands shook as he approached her with a bouquet of beautiful flowers, sweat beading on his forehead under his happy mask... Continue reading story here.
(Y/n) receives a bad batch of Joy, and can no longer take it - Lionel had very few options. Turn (Y/n) in, hide her, join her, or get out of Wellington Wells with her... Continue reading story here.
Tumblr media
Can I commission someone to draw Lionel for me? You perhaps? Or someone you know? I'll happily pay for drawings of him. (💚ω💚*)
Anyways I'm gonna be writing some stories with Lionel soon, so keep an eye out for that in the near future.

Crystal Carapace
Tumblr media
Crystal Carapace is an Aura Enchantment card from March of the Machine. It costs one Green and three generic to cast and goes on a creature. The enchanted creature gets a plus three boost to power, a plus three boost to toughness, and ward for two generic. Ward is an ability that automatically counters a spell an opponent controls targeting something unless the ward cost is paid. Crystal Carapace also has cycling for two generic, so you can pay two of any color and discard Crystal Carapace from your hand to draw a card. The flavor text is a quote from the compleated planeswalker Lukka, reading "Why won't you die, wretched flesh-beast?"
Yes, yes, I'm back with another protection spell. No one is surprised, least of all me. I just happen to enjoy protection magic.
I started building this spell on May 1st, deciding immediately that I was going to use crystals for it. I pulled out my correspondence binder and started flipping through, marking down every stone associated with protection and strength. My "final" list was amethyst, blue calcite, howlite, hemimorphite, and jasper.
I went back and forth on the format - since this is an Enchantment, aka a long-lasting spell, I wanted the spellcasting method to reflect that. My initial thought was a spell bag, as I have a lot of bags. But I had just finished building a spell jar, and I wanted an alternative. So I turned to other mages I know to discuss other forms of long-lasting spells.
Today, I settled on an enchanted bracelet. I pulled out my box of crystal beads and examined my options. None of the stones I wanted, other than jasper, were available to me immediately in stone form. I revisited my list of options and my binder and settled instead on bloodstone, hematite, howlite, and malachite.
Then I did some research. I knew that this card took place on the plane of Ikoria, as that's where Lukka had been dispatched to take over, but Ikoria is dominated by triomes which are dominated by particular monsters which are dominated by an apex monster. Anyway, I came to the conclusion that this was in the Zagoth triome, which is the Black-Green-Blue (though primarily Green) land of Beasts ruled by Brokkos the Forever-Beast, Apex of Forever. Since this is a monoGreen card featuring a loosely-defined Beast, I figured this was a safe bet. So I wrote a jaunty little activation phrase for notes.
Having figured out all this and still holding onto braincells (though I appear to have misplaced them now), I grabbed a new, loose-leaf paper to write the final spell down on. I barely remembered to add the accoutrements required to turn it into a bracelet instead of just rocks on a string. I added a "charge the thing" step and left a note to myself to remember to recharge and reactivate it as needed. Then I added my keywords in the upper corner for quick search in the filing system I have for spells in my spell binder.
I haven't yet created my own Crystal Carapace, but I wanted to share the process instead of the finished result. What do you think? Would you have adapted the card differently? How would you convey the key parts of the card?

Calm Before the Storm: Cooking
Tumblr media
Shortly after his run in with the mage, Tofu socially-awkwards his way into cooking lessons. Kore belongs to @sorrel-haven
Tofu bounded down the stairs, surprisingly quiet for a man of his height and the speed he had taken, ready to head back out for another patrol of the area. Like hell was he going to let anyone take any of them off guard again. He paused at the bottom of the stairs, catching sight of Kore and Ro in the main area. Ro was on the couch, reading, but he turned his attention to Kore. Something he had heard her say before he had tried not to listen to her and Lament in the yard bothered him; for one, she was not stupid.
“H-hey Kore?” he started, though he had no plan for getting the thought across without revealing that he’d heard at least some of the conversation. “S-so… You’re…one of the smartest people I know, do you think you could help me…learn to cook?”
Kore looked up from sharpening her knives and chakrams while sitting on the floor. A bit of surprise plainly written on her face gave way to a smile. She set down the whetstone next to her and leaned back a little. propping herself up with one arm.
“Of course! I’d be happy to! I’m pretty handy in the kitchen, if I do say so myself.” Her excitement at the idea of cooking was palpable.
Tofu blinked in surprise. He hoped she didn’t intend to start with lessons right away, but was it too late to specify a different time…? She sure set aside her whetstone like she wanted to get up and get to teaching right away…
“I haven’t had much opportunity to cook lately, what with all the recon I’ve been doing.” She spun a chakram like a top, using a little magic to keep it going. “What should we make?”
He struggled to keep his cursing to his inside voice, but he managed. His outward expression held a blank smile to mask his panic. She…was so excited for this. He couldn't tell her no now.
"U-um…something easy? Using as little fire as possible?" he said, though it came off as more nervous than he was hoping. Though to be fair, a lot of it had to do with how he almost set the kitchen on fire last time Blomma tried to teach him…
“Hmm, I think I have an idea. Back in the village, we were taught a trick for if we ever needed to make food without fire. We call it fire crystal soup. You make whatever soup you want and plop a few fire crystals in. Best with broth based soups, cream soups get messy.” She stood up and walked over to Fiora’s alchemy table and fished out a handful of small fire crystals.
“I’ll replace these later.”
Her smile put the sun to shame as she turned back to face him and he lost all ability to say no. It was rare to see her excited about something these days, he couldn't bring her down now. He hesitantly smiled back.
"R-right. So… what do we start with?"
He should have just gone on patrol without a word…
Kore took his hesitation as simple nerves; she had seen the curry incident. She walked over and took his hand in hers and gave it a reassuring squeeze. She guided him to the kitchen and began taking out a few supplies and ingredients, pulling out what was needed for a veggie and potato stew - something simple to start. They could make something with meat once he mastered this.
Kore explained them all as she did and lined them up neatly. She showed him how to pick the most flavorful ingredients. She showed him knife cuts, and guided his hand as he tried it himself, humming to fill the silence between instruction and questions. She could stay like this, with him, forever.
Once the prep was done and they set the pot on the stove with the broth and heartier veggies, she picked up two of the fire crystals.
“Now the best results for these, add in two at a time and give them a bit of a sparking start before throwing them in like so.” She struck them together like one would a flint and steel.
They created some sparks of fire aspected aether and she plopped them in the pot. The resulting sizzle and steam showed that it was working. It was going much better than he expected, though his chopping skills left a lot to be desired. Although the shaking that had begun in his hands certainly didn’t help matters much.
Suddenly, pain spread through his chest, harsh and unrelenting, white hot starting in the center of his chest where one of the mages had marked him with the sigil. He was cognizant enough to make sure nothing was in his hands before he staggered back from the counter, hand gripping his chest tightly. He sank to his knees, a low, pained moan escaping from his throat.
Kore rushed to him, crouching in front of him, hands outstretched in worry. “Tofu! What’s wrong?!” Tofu leaned forward and pressed his forehead into the crook of her neck as if to ground himself. Kore turned to Ro with wide eyes. “Help?!” she managed to get out in her panic.
Tumblr media
Ro was up off the couch and at Tofu’s side in a heartbeat upon hearing the panic out of Kore. She knelt beside him, eyes scanning his body for answers. A realization hit her and she dug into her pocket, pulling out a talisman - one of the ones she used to keep Fiora’s curse in check - and lifting his shirt enough to slap the seal onto his chest.
The pain subsided slightly, though his body still trembled and his breath came in pained gasps. Kore held him, one hand stroking his hair in an attempt to soothe him. She shuffled him to be more propped up against her.
“Tofu…we have to tell them. We can’t keep this from them anymore…” Ro murmured, brushing a strand of hair out of his face, though his eyes were still buried in Kore’s neck.
“Tell us what? What happened?” Kore snapped, but tried not to shout it with Tofu’s ears so close to her.
“Please…please don’t…” Tofu whispered between gasps.
“Tofu. I am telling them. Now,” Ro said firmly. Tofu pressed his face further into the crook of Kore’s neck.
“Please don’t think less of me…” His words were barely audible, so much so that only Kore would have heard them.
And Ro told Kore about Tofu’s condition.
“His body doesn’t react well to magic. It reacts quite terribly, actually. During his vengeance rampage against the mages that cursed Fiora, he returned with a curse himself… That’s why the same seal that keeps Fiora’s voidsent at bay managed to dull his pain just now.”
Kore subconsciously held Tofu a little tighter. She looked down at Tofu as best as she could, kissing the top of his head and murmuring, “Why would that make me think less of you? You… you’re precious to me.”
It was hard to tell if the tension in his jaw was from physical pain or emotional pain.
“Because it makes me weak…”
“No, it doesn't.” Her voice was soft. “You’re plenty strong. This doesn’t change that, strength is more than being able to take a beating, or how you react to magic… Your strength comes from inside, and from those around you. They can hold your strength when you need it.”
Tofu put both arms around her loosely, keeping his face hidden. The pain had subsided. Not fully gone just yet, but it was manageable. He didn’t respond vocally, but hoped she could tell that he was listening and trying to take her words into consideration.
He had sincerely hoped to keep his condition a secret from Kore until he'd found a way to fix it. To him, this felt like one more thing for her to pity him over, and he hated it…

For the third week in a row I'm making jablecznik/szarlotka (Polish apple pie) and I think I got it this time! It took probing my parent's minds, using a recipe from the back of a szarlotka spice blend as a starting point, and some tweaks along the way.
Anyways, Time To Share! Measurements are in grams bc that's what I had. I'll 'translate' them but non-gram recipe mileage may vary.
Polish Szarlotka (apple pie)
DOUGH:
400 grams flour (3 1/3 cups-ish) (you can chill it if you want)
85-125 grams Powdered/Confectioners sugar (3/4 cups should be just fine)
250 grams VERY COLD butter (i don't know the conversion here it was about 3 and 1/3 regular sticks? ish?) CHOP INTO LITTLE BITTY SQUARES unless you're using a food processor or mixer in which case just slice it
3 egg yolks (just the yolks not the whites! save the whites to brush on top)
Pinch of salt
Like a half teaspoon of baking powder? Maybe a touch more? I eyeballe dit
APPLE FILLING:
1.5 kilograms of apples, pre coring (if your grocery has produce weights that'll be helpful) err on the side of MORE rather than LESS
What types of apples? We like slightly tart and firm apples in our szarlotka so we go with Granny Smith here in the USA. I think that's more 'traditional'. You can go with sweeter apples if you like but don't go too sweet. Also, I recommend firmer apples bc we're gonna be cooking them first.
100-150 grams sugar (3/4 to 1 cups ish?)
AT LEAST a tablespoon of Cinnamon. You can add more if you want.
If you have ground cardamom and cloves you can add some too. Whatever floats your boat. I'd probably do at least 1-2 tablespoons of cinnamon, 1/2 tablespoon each of cardamom and cloves (ground). Smell it. That might help.
Lemon uh crystals? NO. CITRIC ACID. Ok, take like a teaspoon, no more, and put it in the apples if you want delightfully delicately tart apple pie.
2 tablespoons of water
ALSO: keep some butter and flour to butter the baking dish and flour it. I use a 9x13 glass backing dish so make your best guess on what you want to use based on that
WHAT YOU'RE GONNA DO:
First the dough - you want your butter cold, your flour can be chilled too. You're gonna mix the flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder and give it a stir.
Then you're going to add the 3 egg yolks. No need to stir.
Then you're going to take the butter and add it in. Now the fun begins.
If you have a food processor : PULSE for like a minute until its coming together but not fully mixed. You don't want it creamy
If you have a standing mixer : similarly only mix it until its come together into a dough consistency
If you want to show the dough dominance and wreck your hands in the process : knead the hell outta it. Just squeeze it in your hands and roll everything around and push it into the bowl and keep doing it until it's a dough. It'll happen pretty fast once it does.
once your dough is doughy, put it in a plastic bag or plastic wrap, whatever you want, and toss it in the fridge. It's going to need a while - recipes say "30 minutes" but they suck and you should plan at least 1 hour if not 4.
When your dough is getting nice and hard in the fridge you're going to switch your attention to the filling!
FILLING TIME:
Apples - peeled, cored and quartered.
If you have a mandolin slicer this next part is gonna be easy. If you don't, i'm sorry. Do your best. Anyways, you want to slice the apples thin, like, 1/8 inch thin? No thicker than two quarters stacked on each other. Though, I think you can get away with thicker slices, or small chunks, because we're cooking them and that should soften them for the most part.
Next - mix your apples with all the apple filling things. The spices, the citric acid, the sugar, the water. Take a taste test - if its too sour add a bit of sugar. Too sweet, add more citric acid. Not enough cinnamon? Add it now. The flavor will deepen after baking but the taste here will definitely help gauge the taste when its done.
Now, take a pan large enough to hold all of the apple stuff and a lid for it. Put the apples in, put them on a medium heat, put the lid on. Stir every now and then, try them every now and then, and cook them for no longer than 20-30 minutes. You still want them to be firm when you bite into them, not mushy.
Great! While they're cooking set your oven to preheat to 400 F
BACK TO THE DOUGH:
As the apples near the correct texture you want, pull the dough out and portion it into a 2/3 piece and a 1/3 piece. Put the 1/3 back in the fridge, that's the top. Roll the 2/3 of the dough out on a floured board. You want to do this as quick as you are able to because the more it warms up, the stickier it gets.
Once it's rolled to the thickness you want (I go with 1/3 of an inch just about) transfer it to the baking dish, making sure it's wide enough to go up the sides to the top of the dish as well.
Poke the bottom with a fork and pop it in the over for 15 minutes until the edges are brown.
Great! Pull it out, let it sit for a second while the apples cool just the tiniest bit and you handle the rest of the dough.
TURN THE OVER DOWN TO 350 F!!
TOP OF THE SZARLOTKA:
Now, you have a couple ways of topping the pie. We tend to like a full cover, so we roll the dough out and pop it on top, pinching the edges down, then poke holes in the top.
HOWEVER you can also take the hunk of dough and using a grate, grate it on top of the pie, trying to get somewhat even coverage.
Anyways, once you decide on what you're doing, put the apples into the pie crust and then top it with the top you want. Slather that top with egg whites so it comes out flaky and golden!
Done? Good. Pop it back in the oven (that you should've turned down to 350F!) and set your timer for 30 mins. Check after the 20 min mark if you remember, but 30 mins should be just right. You want it to be nicely browned.
Take it out. Set it to cool. Wait like an hour if you can resist before cutting into it.
ENJOY

I know you're probably super busy with all the content you've got coming up, but I need some advice if you have the time? I'm throwing a Charmed party to celebrate the 25th anniversary, but I need food and drink ideas linked to the show. All I can think of is Paige's ceiling gazpacho 😅 Do you have any suggestions?
okay so i’m dividing this into lazy baby / lazy bougie baby / semi advanced / advanced levels of just different silly ideas and then also drinks!
lazy baby!

have 6, 8, 10, and 12 from the gw2 asks—for qlikk this time, if you’d like! :) <3 @kerra-and-company
oohh, these are all really good questions for him!! thank you!! <3
Tumblr media
6. They're now a heart NPC/part of a string of quests. What does that involve?
I love thinking about this one!! He'd first show up in the Crystal Desert, studying Augury Rock. Likely, he'd just be an add-on to the meta that already happens there. For smth far more personally, you'd run into him again in Cantha for certain!!
He'd be in Echovald, trying to track down the supposed final resting place of one of the Canthan heroes of old. There's no leads on which hero's grave it is, but he's very flustered about it and excited to find it! He'd be an escort mission, with a little bit of Druid flavor. I always think it'd be fun to have an escort mission where the NPC heals you periodically to help you out, and he's a Druid and trained medic, so that fits for him perfectly!
Per my personal AU - the grave would specifically be speculated to be Lin Ryuji's. Ryuji is someone very important from Qlikk's personal past, which is why he'd be so pressed about finding it and making sure it's taken care of!
Once the mission is complete, he'd be remarking about how it isn't a grave, but more of a memorial: an indication that whoever it's for became a Kurzick Juggernaut - a Warden, a guardian for the forest itself. The memorial is for setting their past to rest, so they can move forward into their new role. ((this is headcanon territory btw, idk if they actually do that but i Love the idea kjsdhus))
8. How willing are they to bend/break the rules for their cause (be it selfless or otherwise)?
Ohh, he's very unwilling, actually! He grew up with strict rules that would be followed by suitable punishment if broken, so he's very much a rule-follower! Sometimes he gets agitated enough with a rule to break it a little, but he never bends them. It's a dynamic that I enjoy! Qlikk either follows a rule 110%, or, he's quickly off the deep end about it and basically shatters the rule with his bare hands. <3 he's a funky lil guy :D He's far more likely to break a rule if he feels like someone else is in fatal danger, and that they could be saved!
10. Would/does knowing their backstory change how people (in general but also Tyria at large) view them?
In general, it would change a lot, but in my personal AU, it would change a lot. For general settings / character interactions, he used to be a big name in Cantha for a minute! He helped out the Hero of Cantha on a couple missions, and had a bit of a reputation because of it! He leaves Cantha to leave that reputation behind, because he doesn't like being on a pedestal at all. In my personal AU, he is the Hero of Cantha! So, everyone's treatment of him would change a lot if they knew that, which is why he decided to leave the Maguuma Jungle in the shape of an asura instead of being human again! I've been debating on when and how this gets revealed to the Commander's Team in my personal AU for a while now ^^
12. Have they "completed" the map? What does that look like in your canon?
In-game, not at all, but !! Canonly at least, he spent a year or two traveling with the Durmand Priory before finding himself joining the Commander's Team in between PoF and LWS4. He hasn't seen much of Ascalon by then, or the Shiverpeaks, but he's traveled a lot of lush and tropical areas, and is having fun exploring Elona! Cantha? 100% map completion. He's a lil fiend when he's back home ♥ Tropics and seaside areas are definitely some of his favorite places to be. Icebrood Saga made him not so fond of the snowy mountains though!

Coastal Wave IPA: A Classic West Coast IPA
It is hard to say who exactly brewed the classic west coast IPA, some might argue that the classic West Coast IPA was first brewed in 1980 by Sierra Nevada Brewing Co., while others might say it was Lagunitas IPA. Either way, the west coast IPA changed the world of craft beer. After many brews and years of research I have realized the the west coast IPA is not a complex recipe, rather it's in its simplicity where the brew comes through. Here is my simple west coast IPA recipe.
To brew a West Coast IPA, you will need the following ingredients:
Malt:
10 lbs (4.5 kg) pale ale malt
1 lb (450 g) crystal malt
Hops:
1 oz (28 g) Columbus hops for bittering
1 oz (28 g) Centennial hops for flavor
1 oz (28 g) Cascade hops for aroma
Yeast:
1 packet of American ale yeast, such as Safale US-05 or Wyeast 1056
Other:
Water
Gypsum (optional)
Here is the process for brewing the West Coast IPA:
Start by preparing your equipment. Make sure that all of your brewing equipment is clean and sanitized.
Heat 5 gallons (19 L) of water to 155°F (68°C). Place the pale ale malt and crystal malt (if using) in a grain bag and add it to the water.
Hold the mash at a temperature of 152-154°F (67-68°C) for 60-90 minutes. This will give the enzymes in the malt time to convert the complex starches in the grains into simple sugars that the yeast will be able to ferment.
While the mash is underway, prepare your hop additions. Combine the Columbus hops and Centennial hops in a hop bag and set aside.
When the mash is complete, remove the grain bag and let it drain into the kettle. Bring the wort to a boil and add the hop bag with the Columbus and Centennial hops. Boil for 60 minutes, adding the Cascade hops in the last 10 minutes of the boil.
After the boil is complete, cool the wort as quickly as possible by placing the kettle in an ice bath or using a wort chiller. Once the wort has cooled to 70°F (21°C), transfer it to a fermenter and add the yeast.
Ferment the beer at a temperature of 68-72°F (20-22°C) for 7-10 days, or until fermentation is complete.
When fermentation is complete, transfer the beer to a keg or bottling bucket and add priming sugar to carbonate the beer. Bottle or keg the beer and allow it to condition for at least a week before serving.
Enjoy your West Coast IPA!
Note: This recipe is just a starting point, and you may need to adjust the ingredients and process to suit your personal taste and brewing setup.

Temperance. Art by Kim Thompson, from Divine Your Dinner.
AVOID EXTREMES, FIND PEACE IN MODERATION.
Magickal Ingredient: Sweet violet Promotes emotional wellness and energetic balance
Pull in your energy, take a deep breath, and allow yourself a moment of stillness. Moderation doesn’t have to be a chore. When we think of it as focusing our energy on the things that truly matter to us, it becomes a gift. Temperance affects us in a holistic way, drawing everything in so we can maintain our balance. Once we find this stillness, we get to choose how to push our energy back out again, this time in more focused ways.
To help you along, we’ve got a little assignment for you. With sweet violets as the centerpiece, create a party board to serve a curated gathering of people who complement each other most. And go ahead and serve booze. While the Temperance Movement shunned alcohol consumption, the Temperance archetype leaves what you moderate up to you.
ADDITIONAL MAGICKAL INGREDIENTS: HONEY, MUSTARD, OLIVES
PARTY BOARD WITH WILDFLOWERS AND CRYSTALLIZED VIOLETS MAIN/SNACK—SERVES AS MANY AS YOU WANT!
There is no such thing as a bad party board, and no real way to mess this up. In fact, there isn’t even really a recipe for this, just follow the steps here as a guide and make sure to have a good balance of salty and sweet options.
Use this opportunity to get to know the person behind your cheese and deli counter. Ask what they recommend. Taste some options and don’t be afraid to try something new. Get weird. This truly is the most stress-free party “recipe” of all time.
Assemble your board on two actual boards (one for meats and savories and one for cheeses and sweets) or throw layers of parchment paper down directly on the table and arrange everything on that. We prefer the parchment route because you can use a marker to write the names of the charcuterie and cheeses directly on the paper.
HOT TIP: PLAN FOR ROUGHLY 2 TO 3 OUNCES OF MEAT AND 2 TO 3 OUNCES OF CHEESE PER PERSON.
Place three varieties of meats (including spicy and mild) on one large platter or board, and arrange three varieties of cheese (including soft and hard) on a second board. Add at least one type of snack and a spread to each board—savory additions for the meat board and fruity or nutty flavors for the cheese board. Divide the bread or crackers throughout. Don’t forget to have fun.
MEATS: A spicy soppressata or chorizo; mild prosciutto, Ibérico, country ham, or finocchiona; canned fish, rillettes, or pâté (see the Giant Banh Mìs recipe on this page)
CHEESE: Chèvre, Manchego, Brie, etc.
SNACKS: Olives, cornichons, roasted peppers, seasonal fruit, dried fruits, nuts, fresh grapes or berries
SPREADS: Honey, membrillo, jam, Nutella, grainy mustard
BREADS/CRACKERS: Water crackers, thinly sliced baguette, melba toast, or anything that piques your interest at the cracker store
FLOWERS: Garnish with wildflowers and a pile of crystallized violets (see the Magickal Ingredient Pantry on this page) to serve.

Your characters get to play their world's equivalent of D&D... What class and species are they playing? (Bonus points if it's not something that would align themselves to who they are normally.)
Gonna cheat a liiittle bit and add a bit of Pathfinder into the mix!
...and this may have turned into me imagining a Scenario involving OCs in one big ttrpg campaign. XD
Glacia would probably be the first one to bring it up to her friends/"friends" and might start out as DM but find that she's pretty bad at it/bored with it. She thought she'd be able to do it since she's a goddess-- worldbuilding should be her thing, but she finds enjoyment in playing a human rogue! Probably something akin to the Soulknife subclass from Tasha's Cauldron? The human part is definitely a big deal since she used to HATE humans, but has since grown out of it. A lot of the backstory is probably gonna end up with her trying to cope with family and pantheon issues XP
Flarah/Ashe would likely be invited to said table but since they're kind of... for lack of better term, a split soul in one body, they'd probably take turns on using the character, and as a result probably end up building a multiclassed character. A Kitsune (pathfinder) Wildfire Druid (Tasha's Cauldron) + Witherbloom Warlock (Strixhaven)? Flarah would play the druid, while Ashe would play the warlock, and they'd switch every other session.
Tempys or Skylyn would probably end up as DMs in the long run, tho Tempys probably would end up making an alchemist or artificer that serves as an early game guide. Leave it to the dream gals to actually serve up a campaign the table is relatively happy with lmaooo
Seph would probably be something that aligns with how he views himself. Pact of the Undead Warlock (Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft) Poppet (pathfinder). He would have a lot of fun with the potential horrors he could do with his character.
Izulda, likely roped in by Seph, would probably get Gelum's help with character ideas and they end up building something along the lines of either an Ancestral Guardian or Spirit Instinct Barbarian (they're pretty similar, difference being one's d&d and the other's pathfinder). The species/ancestry however... Conrasu from pathfinder sounds fun ngl?? Sunlight healing and all that fun stuff. Definitely something the two of them would take interest in. Gelum herself has no interest playing a ttrpg, but would enjoy watching.
there would likely be other OCs that would be willing to play in Glacia's game but they belong to other friends, so that's the end of that scenario, BUT I do have some other bonuses (will warn that it's mostly pathfinder since i have easiest access to the information):
Lara has been set up as a Shadow Sorcerer + Summoner multiclass on pathbuilder, but she could also gravitate towards Open Hand Monk. Probably be an Elf or some sort of Fey to keep it simple
Ten would be a Witch (Elementalist, with the elemental philosophy being Elemental Cycle, and Hex being a Familiar) but also multiclass into Kineticist w/ at least Water being involved, not sure if she'd do dual gate or single though. Definitely would choose something like Eladrin or similar. This bitch loves her elements, but being made of ink, the water part is certainly out of her element (pun intended)
Crystal would choose arctic elf, since she is a half-elf of sorts but is more human-presenting, to playing as one would let her be more in touch with her Chiru half. For class, probably Tempest Oracle.
Cyxlar, on the other hand, I can see her as a Kalashtar + Champion (and this is how i find out that champion is just pathfinder flavored paladin. oops. LOL), OR Astral Self Monk. Kind of thematic for her w/ the latter class, while Champion is more divergent. Kalashtar is just fun dream people and has no particular ties XD
Talia would be a Catfolk Bard and would play into the horny/romantic bard trope (but not to an annoying degree), which considering she's the only OC I can comfortably confirm that she's aro/ace, I'm sure her friends would either be shocked or find amusement in her taking her character in that direction (which that's her plan anyways, be funny and commit to the bit)
I feel like Arin and Meufi would end up accidentally roleplaying as each other, with Arin being a Draxie Summoner + Magus multiclass, and Meufi being a Beastkin Human Wizard
I think I'm gonna end it there before I get too overboard XD
maybe one day I'll add on to include different OCs. I know @ one point an in-universe TTRPG session is actually gonna happen as a way for Dusk to meet the Arc 2 characters, but I plan on actually developing some more in-depth character sheets for that chapter (watch me only use this information once and then never again) (you know, just like a real ttrpg where scheduling is hell and you may end up only doing a oneshot by accident ;w;)

Crafting Creamy Delights: How to Make Ice Cream at Home
Tumblr media
There's something incredibly satisfying about indulging in a scoop of rich, creamy ice cream, especially when it's homemade. While you might think that making ice cream at home requires fancy equipment or advanced culinary skills, the truth is that it can be a delightful and straightforward process. In this guide, we'll take you through the steps to create your own mouthwatering ice cream right in your kitchen.
Ingredients You'll Need
For the Base:
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup whole milk
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
For Flavor Variations:
Chocolate chips, fruit puree, crushed cookies, or any other mix-ins you desire.
Equipment You'll Need
A mixing bowl
Whisk
Ice cream maker (optional, but recommended)
Freezer-safe container with a lid
Plastic wrap
Step 1: Prepare the Base
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream and whole milk until well combined.
Gradually add the granulated sugar while continuing to whisk until the mixture is smooth and the sugar is fully dissolved.
Stir in the pure vanilla extract to add a delightful, aromatic flavor to your ice cream base.
Step 2: Customize Your Flavor
This is where you can get creative with your ice cream. Decide on your favorite flavors and mix-ins. Here are some ideas:
For classic vanilla ice cream, you're all set with the vanilla extract.
Add chocolate chips or chunks for a decadent chocolate chip ice cream.
Swirl in fruit puree for a refreshing fruit-flavored ice cream.
Crushed cookies, candies, or nuts make for fantastic mix-ins.
Fold your chosen flavorings into the ice cream base until they're evenly distributed.
Step 3: Chill the Mixture
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap, ensuring it touches the surface of the ice cream mixture to prevent ice crystals from forming. Refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours, or overnight if possible. This chilling period allows the flavors to meld and ensures a smoother, creamier texture.
Step 4: Churn Your Ice Cream
If you have an ice cream maker:
Set up your ice cream maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Pour the chilled mixture into the machine and churn for about 20-25 minutes, or until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
If you don't have an ice cream maker:
Pour the chilled mixture into a freezer-safe container.
Place the container in the freezer and let it sit for about 45 minutes.
Remove the container from the freezer and vigorously stir the mixture with a fork or whisk to break up any ice crystals.
Return the container to the freezer and repeat the stirring process every 30 minutes for 2-3 hours, or until the ice cream reaches the desired consistency.
Step 5: Freeze and Serve
Once your ice cream has reached the perfect texture, transfer it to a lidded, freezer-safe container. Seal it tightly and freeze for a few more hours or overnight to firm up.
Now, you're ready to scoop and serve your homemade ice cream in your favorite bowls or cones. Top it with additional mix-ins, a drizzle of sauce, or fresh fruit for an extra special treat.
Enjoy the satisfaction of creating your very own creamy ice cream flavors, customized to your taste preferences, right from your own kitchen. Whether you savor it on its own, sandwiched between cookies, or served alongside your favorite desserts, your homemade ice cream is sure to delight your taste buds and impress your family and friends. So, get ready to scoop up happiness, one delicious spoonful at a time!
