(CRASHES INTO PART TWO OF "I can't")

Hi!

Okay well I kinda lied that I would write the part two of "I can't" in a day but it took me three days so i apologise for making everyone who read part 1 and were waiting for part two!

I had exams going on and I'm finally free!!

---------------main story..----------------

Summary : Yanqing is found the next morning of the incident, In an abandoned street of the Aurum alley, It's time for jing yuan to find out what happened to Yanqing and jing yuan's about to kill, torture that bastard and he is planning too.

--------------------------------------------

Yanqing was never this late at coming home and reporting back to jing yuan, Well, Yanqing was always late at coming home, But it was different.

-he wasn't home at all.

It was only until morning that Jing yuan realised that Yanqing hasn't came home yet, Which obviously, Got jing yuan worried, Perhaps he's with dealing with mara-struck? Or already at the training grounds?.

--no, Yanqing would have never woken up before jing yuan, It's unlikely for him to do that.

It's probably around the time for Noon before jing yuan starts slightly panicking as he hasn't seen yanqing in such a while already, Eversince the patrol started last evening, He hasn't been home since. Perhaps he could ask madam Fu or the helm master about yanqing's whereabouts but he already knew their answer would surely be no.

There's loud knocking on the door, It's probably the knights.

And yes it was the knights, Just as jing yuan thought, Why were they here?, That's when the bad news comes in when one cloud knight finally speaks.

"General, There's something you need to see." That cloud knight respectfully speaks, His head bowed down. "It's about lieutenant yanqing." And that's where jing yuan eyes widened at the mention of his (son) retainer.

"Please, Go on." Jing yuan said, Trying his best at remaining calm, But he couldnt.

That's probably when the other cloud knight tells him, Yanqing was found in some dark abandoned street of the Aurum alley, And that's what Sushang had reported in earlier.

Now jing yuan was worried, Way worried about his retainer, he got up from his seat, As he put his own pen down in which he was signing his paperwork with.

"We'll need to go there immediately, Send a medical party there immediately, You may be dismissed." Jing yuan had said that in an authoritative tone, He was going to kill that bastard who did that horrendous thing to yanqing when he finds out who he is, He's in great trouble.

---------TIMESKIP...--------

"Tch, Can't take the whole thing in one go and had to pass out that early?." That's cloud knight said, That bastard who tried to Do the Ungodly with Yanqing, Yanqing was practically crying and aswell as shaking as he tried to cover his half naked body.

Some bruises and scars were around his hands and back, Few on his legs, His tears soaking into the ground and his clothes, Yanqing's Vision was blurry, And with pouring rain it made it all worse.

Yanqing felt like he's a worthless child who doesn't deserve happiness, The way he's been traumatized is Ungodly, There were bodily fluids, and blood was there, Which could've made Yanqing vomit, Blood was gushing out from the bruise given by that bastard, Yanqing as going to going to pass out soon because of the pressure.

Yanqing's tears didn't come to a stop as he laid there, Motionless, He was unsure of what to do, He wanted to try and get up, But that man who did this to him had him pinned down by his foot on Yanqing's stomach, It was sure that the guy would leave a few more bruises on him before feeling satisfied .

There was a loud scream coming out of yanqing's dry throat when that bastard punched Yanqing on the stomach, Yanqing was tightly gripping on his own stomach, Trying so hard not to cry as he looked at that guy.

And that scream alerted The other cloud knights who were trying to find Yanqing by Jing yuan's order.

"shit." That bastard cursed as he ran away not to be seen by the cloud knights as he put on his knight uniform and that bastard ran away, Leaving Yanqing fully finished and traumatized.

And that's where Jing yuan found Yanqing as he followed the shout.

But Jing yuan immediately came to an abrupt stop when he saw Yanqing.

Covered in bruises, His hair messed up badly, Blood almost everywhere, Yanqing's tear-soaked face as yanqing looked at him, Jing yuan sweared to Aeons that he wouldn't vomit, And then there was a dry, Crying voice coming out of Yanqing.

"G-general?.." That was the only thing yanqing said, Before he Passed out into his exhaustion.

"Yanqing!." Jing yuan couldn't think of this, This was the last thing he wanted to imagine to happen to yanqing, He quickly rushed to the boy, He removed the hair coming on his eyes.

Thank Aeons that boy had just passed out, Or there could be worse casualties than that.

"Knights!, we found him!, Get him back to the Medical institution." Jing yuan ordered as he lifted up Yanqing in his arms.

That boy barely weighed alot, He was fit and all, Although he doesn't eat alot and jing yuan who's knows how many times he has scolded him to eat and not skip his meals.

TIMESKIP

Anger was already boiling inside Jing yuan as he watched Yanqing being operated by the Alchemy commission's healer Lady, Bailu.

The question on jing yuan's head was

'Who and why did they do this to him?.'

Jing yuan litterally would litterally kill the person and make sure they go even worse in the shackling prison, Maybe Jing yuan would but the balls of the guy and choke him with his own hands and feed the remains of the bastard to Mimi.

But for now, He just had to be there for Yanqing.

Slowly, Yanqing opens his eyes, He doesn't seem scared, But more relieved as he's out of that bastard's grasp, He doesn't even realise that Bailu's talking to him.

"heyyy!! Don't ignore me!." Bailu just pouts, As she stared at Yanqing, Yanqing looks at her.

"sorry.." Yanqing sighs.

"Are you okay?." Bailu asks

"...." Yanqing isn't sure how to respond, He doesn't want to worry Bailu, So he simply states "yea, Much better than before." Yanqing just puts on a small smile, Before staring at his hand again.

"Yanqing." there was the same familiar voice, Jing yuan, His eyes were softer, As he say down beside yanqing's bed.

yanqing has the feeling to cry as he say his (father) General, He wanted to tell what that bastard did to him.

"who.. did this to you?." Jing yuan said, As he held yanqing's other hand, Yanqing gulped and looked down, Not wanting to show his tears.

"I-im sorry General, I-i didn't know how to stop him, I know, I'm too weak." Yanqing admitted as tears feel down his eyes.

Jing yuan couldn't believe what yanqing just said to him, Yanqing was never weak, He is a child, A child with ambition to be the best, But that bastard who did this to him, Needed to be punished In the worst way possible, That guy tried to take Advantage of a Child, A FREAKING 14 YEAR OLD.

"Oh yanqing.." Jing yuan sighed, As he pulled the blonde boy into a hug, "it's not your fault and it was never your fault, you're still 14, I should also be the one to blame here to sending you with that cloud knight." Jing yuan said, As yanqing cried into his arms. "Who did this to you?." Jing yuan asked, As yanqing let out a voice. "A cloud knight named.... Xiun."(Yes I made up a name.)

Now jing yuan was clearly angry and wanted to punish that bitch called Xiun, He sweared if he sees Xiun, He will murder him alive and feed his remains to Mimi, Who would be very happy to Eat the meat.

But for now

He's happy that Yanqing's alright, He needs to recover, Mentally and physically.

#my break is now over and tomorrow resumes the final hell rush before the end of the semester #well i say break but in all honesty i spent 90% of it working or being so so scared for my car #i did get a little time to clean my room finally and turn into gelatinous ooze #though now i am The Slightest Bit Scared that i have gotten too oozelike and will not be able to fully reform into a functional being #in time to deal with The Horrors #(read: two intensely busy weeks on internship as i basically take over for my mentor all day)#(on top of the big portfolio assignment that my (project) partner Still Has Not Done Anything On)#like as long as i do my part i’ll get a B in the class no matter what but #aheem heem #my gpa that i worked so hard for….. i don’t want it to disappear…….#aaaaa it’s just hard to focus when i am so so tired and really just want like 5 solid days of No Thought Just Video Games And UTAU Dev #before getting back to my own big deadlines #i am looking at this document that i could probably write in 20 minutes but my brain is just. fried meat.#or more precisely i think i can get this done in an hour but Everything Else This Week?#i think i would have an easier time chewing shoe leather than getting my brain to do it all #if it weren’t for the fact that i would Literally go broke if i did not finish all this next semester #i would be soso tempted to take another semester off #only this time for my mental health………….

Like seriously what the heck #While we were recovering I jokingly mentioned something about getting another rescue dog #Within the WEEK we had a pomeranian in our house. A pomeranian. 16 pounds. Pomeranian.#See the reason I mentioned it at all was to give our other dog- Tiger the 11(?) yr old maltipoo- company in his twilight years.#You know. Maybe another old pooch like Lucky that was chill and kind #And now we have Rudy aka SPITFIRE #He's fun though! I like him. He's always smiling and it warms my heart. i know nobody is online to see it rn but GOD it feels so good to be in love again!!!!!!!!! i reached the tag limit on that last reblog of la la land, there's a tag limit of 30 and i originally wrote almost 60 and then i had to keep revising it over and over until i only had 30. i just kept talking abt how much i love sebastian!!! and that's!!! how i'm supposed to be!!!! it's such a huge goddamn relief to start self shipping again even if it's not with TF, i really hope i can come back to my robots one day, but god. god it's such a fucking relief to have seb and six and ken and barbie and harley etc etc etc etc the list hopefully will just keep growing. this love in my chest, this feeling of overwhelming love that makes me actually physically sigh because there's so much love in me... that's how i am supposed to be and i am so relieved to start feeling this way again. i was numb for so long. i'm so grateful for these characters.

#warframe #tula plays games #tula plays warframe #my graphics could look nicer #and i could still run it at a good fps #but it makes me computer cry #and by cry I mean marginally louder than normal #technically I’m in the market for a new graphics card #but this one works! I can play everything I want to! why would I get a new one?#(the answer is that this one is getting up there in years and it was secondhand when I got it)#and I’d rather be…prepared #and at least considering getting a new one if it does crap out #I have the money saved but I am waiting for now.#and (even better) my other pc parts should be good for a good bit longer #since my graphics card was second hand I was able to get everything else a little better than what was needed for the gc #so upgrading will be easy #arguably my monitor isn’t a super good one either but I’m not like….one of those people who needs crazy good monitors #I’m just happy I can get 60 fps in most things I play nowdays #I’m used to playing at like 20-30 for years

one of the issues i’ve had with the series since like mid-HoO is how there suddenly became like, no consequences the characters faced that felt actually lasting or impactful.

Like, the first time i read Blood of Olympus I can’t emphasize enough how genuinely angry I was at the ending. Cause genuinely if you cut off BoO before the final chapter it’s a decently narratively satisfying ending! the fight was lame but it at least felt like there was a weight to it with Leo’s death. And then it’s completely nullified and it ruins the entire thing. And that’s consistent throughout the latter half of HoO and TOA! Because you can feel that they’re constantly trying to hit that same weight the first series had but they can’t quite reach it. At least with Hazel returning from the dead it felt like she genuinely had a struggle to overcome as a price to pay for that. When Percy and Annabeth go through Tartarus, they leave behind two characters that to most people (unless they read Sword of Hades) they’ve only just been introduced to and thus have zero reason to care about, and basically recover immediately with no lasting effects from their journey. Jason gets healed in BoO through the power of friendship and there’s no lasting consequences from it. Leo completely returns from the dead with a magic potion and gets a girlfriend and flies off into the sunset. There was already a happy ending to BoO, it was just a happy ending where you felt like the characters actually went through hardship to get to where they were. Which mirrored TLO nicely! But the weight is wiped away immediately and it feels like Rick didn’t trust his audience to be able to handle that. And that completely ruins TOA in turn because you can feel the over-correction and it makes every time a character dies feel completely cheap and worthless to the narrative. Throughout HoO and TOA we have these repetitive moments where we’re basically just directly told “Oh no! This character died! These whole bunch of characters died! You should feel sad about that!” but with absolutely no narrative weight to back it up. Jason’s death in TOA feels cheap because in HoO every time a major character came close to dying or died they were just magically fine by the end of it, so it feels like there is no good reason for him to stay dead because you know there’s so many excuses in-series for why he could come back. Frank’s fight in TOA feels boring as hell because you know he’ll be magically fine. The only exception to any of that is Nico, who actually got a lasting consequence to him nearly dying multiple times that is addressed multiple times across both HoO and TOA.

Every loss in HoO and TOA feels cheap and empty. The audience has no actual attachment to Bob or Damasen because unless you have context for Bob you literally only meet them halfway through the book and then leave them again. We are just directly told to be sad about it. Bryce Lawrence’s death was a victory, as was Octavian’s. There was never any risk to Jason in HoO. The random assortment of nameless Hunters and campers we’re told who died in HoO just literally do not exist. Leo’s death was impactful until you hit the final chapter of “jk, lol!” Frank was never in any risk in TOA. We knew that every first series character in TOA was going to survive, that was never even a question. Every random death in Camp Jupiter had no weight because they were just random names we had only just been introduced to, with absolutely no character behind them. Even Dakota, who we did have some character to, was still a husk we barely saw and had no attachment to. None of the characters around them have lasting mournful reactions to any of those events. Jason is literally the only character in TOA who’s loss did anything and it feels narratively cheap because it feels like there is no reason for his death or for him to stay dead. And Jason was one of the most underdeveloped protagonists in HoO! He is the only one of the Argo II crew who literally does not have a backstory. It does not exist. I mean, fuck, the final fight in TOA literally features young campers PLAYING and we’re basically told we’re supposed to be treating it with the same weight of the Battle for Manhattan?

And it makes me upset especially looking at upcoming TSATS and Chalice of the Gods because we’re beyond the point of exhaustion! We’re being told there will be consequences but we know the series narratively cannot sustain that anymore because HoO and TOA dropped the ball so thoroughly! There is no reason for us to care! We know whatever new stuff gets thrown at the protagonists will not stick!!! And it sucks because there are routes you could go with new books that would be compelling plots! That would get literally any sliver of actual weight of consequence even if we know what the eventual outcome will be! Where’s Jason’s backstory and giving us literally any reason to care about him and the Roman camp? Where’s something like Clarisse’s quest in TTC where we know she faced horrible things and came back with the same weariness and emotional exhaustion that Percy faced after his quest in the same book? There is space in the series for this! But we keep being given the cheapest, least impactful routes possible! It’s just exhausting at this point!

i have been lurking around online help forums answering questions for probably at least 15 years and to this day it still drives me absolutely bananas when people essentially just post "HELP! I HAVE A PROBLEM" and then refuse to provide any information or context as if you are some sort of mind-reading savant capable of inducing all the information required on the broadest problem imaginable

#motivated by someone who posted about how they cant figure out X thing #where the thing in question is that they were trying to install code they found online #but they did not say what they were trying to add or what it was or where they got #or even whether it was something that was a part of something they were writing or just a couple lines #and of course after replies from op i see oh you're installing a third-party add-on #and that add-on literally has installation instructions #so i have absolutely no clue why they are posting to a DIFFERENT website. literally asking for quote 'explain step by step'#WHEN THEY DONT SAY WHAT THEY'RE DOING #AND WHAT THEYRE DOING #ALREADY HAS STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS #the issue that im taking isnt that this person struggled to understand how to do something. thats fine. thats why im here #it just frustrates me when people dont try to articulate what the issue is #you dont need to be RIGHT but i do need to know 1) what are you trying to do 2) what have you done to achieve (i.e. post your damn code/ref #3) what is going wrong and then just an optional 4 of context #but 1 2 3 are very important otherwise it's just playing 20 questions #and this is all assuming we've gotten past the stuff like 'is the program actually set up how you claim it is set up'#because a lot of times the problem is they misunderstood a setting which is making everything else wrong #but that's the kind of thing i can infer based having accurate information

trying to lay out my interpretation of why brad and judy are simultaneously awful and really goddamn sad, beyond just having lost their baby under traumatic circumstances as already-traumatized autistic young adults with zero support system left but each other, is wild because it includes in full seriousness the word 'sheepnado'

#sdmi #scooby doo: mystery incorporated #brad chiles #judy reeves #tl;dr they are Like That in large part because pericles fucked them up in a very particular way #that made them dependent on him to give them cues for what to do and validation for the results #and when they suddenly had that ripped away they dealt with it by just making a closed loop where they follow each other in circles #in order to make one semi-functioning adult with a semi-functioning ability to actually choose to set out and do things #nothing else really *matters* to them outside of that fragile closed loop (and christ it is fragile); they set up a steady source of income #and then just fuck off to go effectively be alone together for 20 years; amassing and perfecting a bunch of random skills #because they are both very intelligent in some ways and Need to Stay Occupied; but what else are we gonna do #just aimlessly follow each other in circles and there's no room to actually choose a direction from there #and if anything breaks the closed loop; or doesn't fit into a hesitantly expanded version of it they had in mind #they freak out and they lash out at it even when they're pretending to be cheerful and unaffected #and the only real reason they *did* have to act on caring about something outside that feedback loop before--fred #ended up *being 'sit on your hands and do nothing for 20 years'*; when they are border collies climbing the walls without things to pursue #then suddenly that's gone and they can go care about fred again! except Oops now there is a force influencing them whose entire thing is #'induce artificial craving for Thing.' they try to love fred but they also resent him for being why they spent 20 years with nothing to Do #especially when things are Different now and he's his own person who doesn't really mesh into a closed loop with them; instead of the baby #they could have imagined whatever they wanted about all that time. they are desperately exhausted with caring about fred #and deeply traumatized by having done it; & at this point when a ball is waved in front of them to go fetch that they aren't burned out on #they go 'fuck it sorry kid you come second this time.' and then he *very purposely* cuts ties w/them & therefore any possibility of a loop #and they stop caring completely and lash out instead; especially because the person who fucked them up like this in the first place #has waltzed back into their life and snapped his fingers for them to heel. now they're great tools for his agenda including abusing ricky #'he's a genius right brad' 'my loyal brad and judy' siding w/pericles despite ricky having been a more reliable choice who explicitly treat #them as equals and doesn't constantly insult them and talk to them like pets. and then when something as small as Looking Different breaks #that one last most supposedly dependable loop they had they break down and start lashing out at each other. they 'behave like children.'#there's so much here man. they suck so goddamn bad and they fuck me up. thinking about the oldgang for the rest of my life

I wonder if my high school biology teacher would regret showing me how to make charts of how plant color genetics are inherited through generations and how different color genes may interact if he knew I'd end up using it with fictional characters instead

#I have charts for hair skin and eye color and (more than anything else) magic types for up to 20 generations with some characters #also: family trees. I have way too many charts of how everyone is related #and the worst part of it is when I have to match the two.#I need to know where the two required genetic traits for making water freeze are from and whether or not they're connected to eye color #currently tracking how many characters in one kingdom have the rare affinity for fire magic and that's connected to eye color #like it doesn't directly determine eye color but it affects the undertone #your eyes can be green or purple or grey or brown or yellow with it depending on what else is going on #but the gene needs to be there and affecting eye color for you to have fire affinity #anyway the charts are useful for when I need to draw because I have easy access to starter tones #I can just build the lighting on top of those

love it when my family is like "talk to us! come visit!" and then doesn't answer my calls or call me back or answer my texts or acknowledge my existence in any way whatsoever

#alex yells at the void #like im trying here #in my more depressed moments i think it's because now that ex f/ther is gone #they need someone else to hate and see me as the closest one to him #because all the abuse was just me provoking him according to them. all my fault. for 20 years #what a horrible toddler i must have been huh #like i know it's not completely true but it hurts and part of it does feel like it's true
