How does one become your friend?

honestly I'm so mentally compromised by fatigue today that my answer- I don't know??- sent me into an actual spiral of "do I not know how to be a friend to myself is it a commentary on my psychological health and state of being" sooooo might just have to leave all that aside and go with, uh, try messaging or chatting some way? I'm generally afraid of bothering people, what if they think I'm a creep, but I usually like it when people talk to me and then boom! I, at least, consider us friends- same as most people on here I'd guess. But watch out! I am annoying and unless discouraged will then consider us pals forever if we have two friendly interactions, sorry.

3 am Viva brainrot below

This scene makes me so ill for a few different reasons and I can't figure out which one hurts more. Obviously watching someone DIE is a pretty traumatic experience so of course they're both upset, and Poppy pulls her hands up to hold and comfort her self-but Viva, shown to be nearly identical to Poppy personality wise does not go to comfort herself, she reaches to comfort Poppy. It's an intentional reach, not just her hand being dragged along with Poppy pulling hers up, and by all means interpret differently than I do BUT how *I* read this is either

1) Vivas deep seated love for Poppy is stronger than the bond she formed with Clay over two decades.

This is mildly hinted at beforehand, with Viva not even attempting to call for Clay to stay- she just begs Poppy. She went to Mount Rageous- to help Poppy. And sure Poppy was helping Clay, so ultimately she would be helping Clay by proxy, but her intent and focus was only ever Poppy.

Neither of them know Floyd beyond hearing maybe a story or two, but you can tell Poppy is one upset over someone dying in front of her and two, pop trolls are insanely empathetic-shes hurting just based on the fact Branch is hurting too. So you might think Viva would similarly grieve for Clay's grief, but she doesn't clutch at her heart like Poppy does, once again her focus is her little sister. Not saying she doesn't care for Clay of course, I just interpret this as something she doesn't have with Clay- sisters who get along can be INSANELY close even without spending a lot of time together

OR,

2) I personally assume with how well coordinated the Putt Putt trolls attack on Bridget + Gristle was, and how calm and ready they seemed to be to witness actual gore (their skulls were going to get crushed cmon) that the Putt Putts have in fact killed bergens before. It's not outlandish to assume that bergens exploring or on a trip might investigate Hole n Fun, so I also interpret this as Viva being much more used to seeing things die, far more familiar with death and properly assuming her sister would not have seen many, if any, things pass away before, and so she needs less comfort herself despite her huge heart we're shown, and instead offers it to Poppy.

I dunno which one I like better. I might even fully believe both at the same time and I might just be deranged! But that's my personal thoughts on this scene and if you read all this wow I'm impressed
